She closed her eyes tightly. She didn’t think she would be affected like this but everything that went down with Sebastian made her skin crawl like never before. From the Church of Blood drugging and brainwashing, Project Starfire, Star Labs, it was all too fucking much. “It’s just me.” He whispered softly and wrapped his arm around her.

“That’s the problem.” She muttered under her breath.

“What do you mean Kory?” He turned her chin slightly so she was looking into his eyes. They were wide and hurt was decorating his deep stare.

“I don’t know if you’re ready to have this conversation.” She stood up straight and crossed her arms in front of her body, effectively shutting him out in case he decided to disappoint her again.

“What conversation?” He steps back and mirrors her pose crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes.

That’s how it always is with him. She wants to have an honest conversation and his wall of invulnerability starts forming in front of her, brick by brick.

“About us. About what happened in Metropolis?” She raises her chin at him.

alan-san is very pretty lol like i wish i could say he’s the prettiest samatoki but that’s also a judgement based on the assumption that samatoki has given us anything under an 11 LOL

but he’s still a gorgeous samatoki lol

asanuma-san is a god tier seiyuu so anyone having to embody samatoki i doubt can capture what asanuma-san does with samatoki’s voice but alan-san’s take isn’t bad i don’t think!!!!!

there’s a scene at the end of track 4 where once that conflict had been resolved, juto quietly walked up beside samatoki, who was brooding to himself, and expressed an ice cold rage towards samatoki for leaving his team behind in that conflict that has stayed with me lol it’s probably the mtc moment i think about most

besides the rep live skit where samatoki gets falsely arrested but wants to stay arrested because rio wants to feed him so juto’s running back and forth confusedly trying to extend samatoki’s sentence LOL

Apprenticember! Days 1 and 2

Day 1: Introduce your apprentice!

James | he/she/they | 32 | taurus | april 21th | 178 cm

James is... something. He’s a very spontaneous person. He’s warm, helpful and generally very easy to get along with. If you’re polite enough you’re going to have a good time around him. He’s always available to lend a hand if needed, which makes a lot of people, Asra included, see him as a sort of responsible older sibling figure.

On the other hand, if you dig a little deeper you might get a pretty different picture. James is not used to being disliked. People being mistrustful or giving him a hard time make him easily irritable, which he is at least a little bit decent at hiding. He’s a chronic people pleaser, but instead of bending over to accomodate everyone he resorts to lying to cover up himself and his actions. Lies that always end up accumulating and making him sweat to mantain the charade. He doesn’t do it maliciously, but he’s definitely the type of person who ends up hurting the people he cares about because of his decisions. He thinks (or tries to convince himself of it) he can handle anything alone all the time, which is what usually puts him in these kind of situations. He can also be a massive hypocrite. Asra could swear he wasn’t like this before.

Day 2: Who is their LI? What’s their relationship like?

During the murder investigations his relationship with Valerius, who is mainly his employer, is an absolute mess.

One of the things James is known around town for is how good he is at finding people and things who go missing, them being civilians, wanted criminals or lost valuable items. He obviously uses magic to do it, but because of how unreliable his spells are with his amnesia he doesn’t make it public. So, when he hears that some rich guy at the palace is hiring a bounty hunter to catch a dangerous killer before the Countess’s new hiree that sounds like an easy job, right?

Wrong. Valerius sees almost immediately through his act and James struggles to deceive him about his true intentions. They lie to each other constantly, they’re both extremely secretive and even tho their relationship start as a casual affair they still manage to be pretty possessive and jealous.

They have some rare tender moments of honesty in private but tend to be pretty awkward and tense in public.

I’m working on an au that has time travel in it and then got distracted trying to work out consistent rules for time travel and changing the past and now I’ve written multiple pages of time travel explanation with diagrams and stuff.

#I’d post it but I have legit just been writing it in my sketchbook so it’s somewhat illegibile #but yeah hit me up if you’re in need of a set of time travel rules for your story #specifically one that lets characters make small changes to the past without creating a whole new timeline #but can still make big changes as well #basically I wanted something that mixes butterfly effect ‘every tiny change has an outsized effect’ #and ‘everything is predetermined you can’t change the past because you’re in the future where you already tried that’ #aka I’m stealing three different versions of a character from the past as different ages and am making them all interact with older self #but i think it would be really funny if no one realized that this little time travel shenanegian is when the character was taught to read #but hey I have a mechanic now for determining how much of a change is required to cause a split vs not #also a way for techy characters to measure how much strain has been put on the timeline and how close they are to causing a split
