I have this AU that's been bouncing around in my head for weeks and I need opinions on it so. Yeah. Tell me what you think.

Also, for context, they're all about 17-20 in this AU. Details will come later if I decide to do anything with the idea.

Spock is a prince on Vulcan; their society is fairly similar to how it is in canon but certain elements of the pre-reform society remain, so it's more spiritual and there's a monarchy in place. Spock has accepted his role as heir to the throne after his brother's disappearance-- but he's always felt out of place. The monarchy carefully hides his half-human identity from the public, and every aspect of his life is intricately controlled. He's suffering, really, but in his mind it's for the good of his people.

Meanwhile, James Tiberius Kirk is a pirate living on a busted old space craft, having fun, sailing through the galaxy with his stressed best friend Leonard McCoy who regrets receiving military medical training every day of his life, their constantly high engineer buddy Montgomery Scott who keeps the ship from falling apart with duct tape and prayers, Hikaru Sulu who has hit on every person on the ship and slept with every alien they've come across, Pavel Chekov who is Sulu's very tired boyfriend who doesn't really do much but any suggestions that he should leave would be met with someone getting stabbed (they're in an open relationship for context dw Chekov is a manwhore too), and finally Nyota Uhura who was mostly just here to get a ride one time but she realized these stupid fucks needed a Lesbian with some braincells on board so she handles the logistics of their crimes.

The night before Spock is scheduled to marry a barely known noble girl named T'Pring, Kirk and his crew kidnap him for ransom, assuming it will just be another job. But, alas, Jim falls in love and won't let Spock go, not caring in the slightest that he has caused an interplanetary crisis mostly for his own amusement.

Tldr the dumbasses are dumb and I love them

Ok I'm gonna post more passages from the novels I actually own BUT I took a trip down to Barnes and Nobel and obviously I went snooping through every Star Trek thing I could find and I just wanted to share this passage.

I forgot to get the title but I think it's Star Trek and friendship or something but basically it's these two guys discussing the different friendships throughout Star Trek cannon. They said a couple cute things about them (but I felt weird taking a bunch of photos in the middle of Barnes and Nobel especially when I dont own it) BUT this was my favorite.

"That's Jim's Boy"??????? People, especially Bones, apparently, know not to fuck too hard with Spock because he's Kirk's special guy. His fella if you will. Also the spouse comment. I get they probably don't mean it quite like that but come on. Bones knowing how far he can push Kirk in conversation about Spock, as if they were spouses. God

thinking very much about the "the will was eddies love confession" theory cause oh my god can YOU IMAGINE????? it was even framed as a whole ass love confession. like that was a romantic scene, in an episode where all the romantic couples are paired together THEY CHOSE TO PAIR THEM TOGETHER. but if we push that aside, he literally gave his HEART to buck (heart theory, anyone?), LEGALLY BINDING HIM to the diazes. not only did he baby trap him, by putting him in the will he all but declared that buck is not allowed to die. also i mean just like, what if he really believed it would make all of his feelings perfectly clear and was prepared to say everything but BUCK TOOK IT AS EDDIE SETTING A BOUNDARY. AS EDDIE SAYING THAT HE'D BE THE BACKUP. im so sick. this man really looked at his best friend, who'd have DIED for him, who rather been shot then see eddie hurt and went 'yeah he needs to know, i need to tell him'. he was trying to confess his love and buck thought their relationship was falling apart. im gonna vomit.

yes also im implying eddie realized his feelings after he got shot and has KNOWN ever since then. and that makes me go out of my fucking mind. "no one will EVER fight for my son as hard as you" eddie was in love there. "because evan, you came in here the other day saying it would've been better if it was you who was shot. you act like you're expendable....but you're wrong" HE WAS IN LOVE THERE!!!!!!!

I wish more people would acknowledge how awful Sangwoo's father was. Not only did he stayed married to a mentally unstable woman who tried to kill his son, he proceeded to abuse her in front of Sangwoo further traumatizing them both. Which only intensified Eunseo's mental issues.

If he cared about Sangwoo, he would've gotten his son out of that situation, but noooo, he wanted to keep his picture-perfect family even at the expense of his actual family.

I'm not saying Eunseo was a saint but Mr. Oh is a third at fault for what Sangwoo become.
