To those who have bloons td 6, i hope youve heard of the new map editor that just got added! yeah, i covered it just yesterday but ive got something to announce for those who want some g/t...

I made my own custom maps involving giant pin (because i can)! 🍎📌

they might look pretty average but honestly, that's the best i could do hehe... i did use tricks such as formatting and sketching to assist myself into making them, but i still can't persist for longer despite that. looking very detailed anyway!

so HERES PIN HOLDING OUR PLANET AND LYING ON THE OCEAN... play them by copying their IDs above, and i hope u enjoy the small g/t dosage on your favorite strategy game!

After playing Warframe again after a really long time away, it made me realize something: Warframe (and many other MMOs and games in general) would benefit so much from having some sort of level editor or way to create custom content.

A lot of Warframe's problems with endgame, times of content drought, and the sheer sense of repetition could be easily solved by letting players simply create the experiences they want to see in the game. Like, you want it? You have the tools!! Go out and make it, it'll be great. Not only that but it's just such an awesome thing when a game of any kind has support for community content.

Warframe in particular would benefit a ton from level editing/sharing because creators would be able to create a great variety of experiences from huge complicated parkour courses to massive clusterfucks of high level enemies that really put elite players' gear to the test, to more casual experiences akin to Quests or even entire campaigns, and everything that melds it all inbetween. The possibilities are just about limitless given Warframe's unique movement system and weapons and upgrade systems. You could even make it compatible with Kahl mode so that Kahl gameplay sees some love and you don't have to rerun the same exact missions over and over and over again to get it.

I wholeheartedly believe that this would do so much for the game, and with how much DE has been willing to experiment with Warframe these days it really seems like it could happen. Custom content and levels would completely shake up how people interact with Warframe and create a pretty much infinite engine for unique missions and experiences to play. True endgame is what you make of it (literally.)

1 week progress on the Map Editor. Half of this time I was rewriting UI system in the engine to make it better and fix bugs, lol. But finally it's doing what I want from it.

Basic Save/Load of maps info works, still need to implement actual placement of the objects and loading of the scenarios into the game. Shouldn't be the most difficult part actually.

Also I was thinking how to make Cntrl+S obvious to do the thing after pressing to save your progress and added some kind of fast messages into the middle of the screen. I like when editors actually show you that intended action was performed.

Extended my test map from an older post (way, way older upload on this blog....)

originally i added the interior warehouse area for the sake of something i was gonna add in the LUA, but i ended up fixating on detailing it instead of working on the gamemode feature...

i think the touchups i made make the map look a bit better than it was, though still not very "ghetto like", as was my original intent,,,,, uhh,,,,, 10 or 11 months ago now? (well, fuck) and the way the buildings cut off is still completely dogwater, though that's something i'll fix in a later version if ever that comes :]
