"Hello" is a song by French DJ Martin Solveig and Canadian synthpop band Dragonette, and it was released from Martin Solveig's 2011 album, Smash. The single was released on September 6, 2010, and peaked at number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100.
I was 35 years old when "Hello" was released as a single. This is a song I was hearing a lot on KNHC in Seattle, and I thought it was catchy. I was surprised, but pleased, to see that the song was getting some attention from mainstream pop. It's an enjoyable dance song from the early 2010's, and I still like it now.
The music video is kind of... odd, because it really has nothing to do with the song. The video features a tennis match between Martin Solveig and another DJ named Bob Sinclar. Solveig is losing pretty badly to Sinclar, and there's also a brief storyline with Solveig's love interest in the video, and what happens with that at the end makes Solveig literally "throw in the towel." While the idea for the video is kind of interesting, there's no connection between it and the lyrics of the song.

Hello
I'd really like to know if Martin Solveig's inspiration for the beat in "Hello" came from ever being in an MRI. Cause, it absolutely reminds me of being in the dubstep coffin every time I hear it (I've had a few MRIs, thanks MS).

Lyrics:
I could stick around and get along with you
Hello, oh-oh-oh
It doesn't really mean that I'm into you
Hello, oh-oh-oh
You're alright but I'm here, darling, to enjoy the party
Don't get too excited 'cause that's all you get from me, hey
Yeah, I think you're cute, but really you should know
I just came to say hello
Hello
Hello
Hello, oh-oh-oh
I'm not the kinda girl to get messed up with you
Hello, oh-oh-oh
I'ma let you try to convince me to
Hello, oh-oh-oh
Oh, it's alright I'm getting dizzy, just enjoy the party
It's okay with me if you don't have that much to say, hey
Kinda like this game, but there's something you should know
I just came to say hello
Hey
Hey
I could stick around and get along with you
Hello, oh-oh-oh
Doesn't really mean that I'm into you
Hello, oh-oh-oh
You're alright but I'm here, darling, to enjoy the party (hey)
