Neid was the most damaged one from his brothers. His family didn't want him, and he was always alone. He was jealous of everyone who he thought was better than him. Until, Garvit found him and took him in. He is the youngest of his brothers. He was never jealous of them. Instead, he admired them and wanted to be as strong as them. He faced so many things that always broke him. But his brothers would always give him strength.

Facts about Neid:

He had a bully who was also a hybrid demon who would insult him by making fun of his looks. This causes Neid to hate the way he looks and crave what his bully has, which is his bully's looks and friends.

He would cover his feathers in red paint (which was his bully's feathers color), but Gloton saw and stopped him. But he didn't tell his brothers what was happening to him.

The bullying got so bad that Neid hated his body so badly that he pulled all of his feathers, causing him to bleed and damage his body.

Avaron found him bleeding, and he yelled for his brothers. They took care of him, and Neid finally admitted what was happening to him.

His brothers soon took care of his bullies. One by one.

Neid got better, and he made a jewel for Avaron as a thank-you for making him a dress.

The black dots on his tail feathers move when he spots something that he envies and wants for himself. For example, you have a very beautiful watch that looks good on you, and he sees it making you happy, so he will steal it to make him feel happy.

anon, i tried. i do know who he is, his design didn't seem too difficult, but if you were to ask me anything about the character, i wouldn't know what to say. haven't played any of the games, i mean, i've heard of them, but besides knowing there are zombies in it, i'm totally lost (i've been informed it's not just zombies, it's more like... mutants? eh)

but still, i think it doesn't look half bad. i hope you like it.

Nedi Nezu (Good Medicine)

April was National Poetry Month here in Canada, and I fell in love with this luscious collection by Indigenous poet Tenille K. Campbell. The poems were gorgeous, centering on love and loving through an Indigenous lens. Some were quite 🌶, too, in an evocative, wild, and defiant way. The natural world provides a strong base, and this collection pulses deep in the blood. I loved it; a strong antidote to the grim, overwhelming world right now. Good medicine indeed.

Anyway, here's, uh, Nedy. Him's my boy for a story that preludes another I have a lot built up about entitled... Well I'll save that bit of information for later and update the tags here when I do. In the meantime, here's some fun info about Nedy himself under the cut.

Name: Nedy (ned-ee) Height: 5’ 2” Favorite things: His eyes, his bag, scavenging for things, building small helpful devices with said things Favorite color: Dusty orange Favorite food: Fruit Least favorite food: Fish Interests: Engineering, rocks, plants, animals, music, exploring, dancing, books, games (basically everything) Fears: Extremely small spaces; extremely wide spaces Ambition: Protect his family and do the right thing Factoids: Is the third in a generational line rather than being seed-grown; his great-grandfather was one of the original 20 Neverhoodians created by Hoborg (after the Good Ending); was the third one to join the friendgroup known as the Brotherhoodians; falls head-over-heels for De'Verro Headcanon voice: Either Michael J. Fox (Stuart Little) or Cody Fry (songwriter) In a Nutshell: Dorkish, talkative, easily fascinated and very curious, biggest hobbies are engineering, documenting his various discoveries and rockhounding, thoughtful, a bit of a packrat, forms emotional attachments to objects, tends to dominate conversations, often gets into arguments with Ephur because of conflicting methods for planning who does what and when.

Something I like about his design, personally, is that it helps De'Verro's eyes (not just that he's fun to look at, hehe), in that Nedy having multi-colored eyes encourages the subtextual idea that 'Hoodians can (but don't usually) grow/are born with multi-colored eyes. Though going by age Devvy-boy did it first.
