So I said, well I doubt this bird has ever seen a q-tip before… So I grabbed a q-tip and sat beside the bed so Piper had more room and not have to stress about being too close to me and I literally just moved the q-tip up and down and after a few days he’d get more and more interested and touch the q-tip (kind of like target training…) and eventually he’d let me pet him with it! I was truly shocked 😂 A couple days later I did the same motion I did with the q-tip with my finger and Piper would come running because he knew he’d get scritches!This is one of the strangest stories I have to date about Piper but it worked!(Also, I forgot to mention I would reward him with millet while using the q-tip)
