finally accepting that i perhaps maybe apparently..... am into reggaeton ... ?

Was wondering if there’s any Spanish musicians you’ve found whilst you’ve been learning Spanish. I’m trying to immerse myself a little more in the language

YES.

I listen to a lot of Bad Bunny, Kali Uchis, Rosalia, Karol G in particular. I like Arca too! I have some Nathy Peluso and Eslabon Armado in my Spotify likes. Obviously some Shakira. From there, I listen to a lot of Spotify mixes generated from my likes, and that’s been a really cool way to get into more music!

As you can see lmao for the most part we’re not looking at Spanish Spanish music, but I’m also down for recommendations from folks!

It’s been really cool to see my comprehension improve ☺️ I have albums that I always go back to and it’s nice to be like OHH NO WAY!! when I can understand more of the songs I’ve loved for a while

4. What is your zodiac sign?

I am an aries!

7. What drew you to writing your current character(s)?

Usually I end up writing a character if I can't stop thinking them. So if they end up living rent free in my head they end up on here. Some stick around longer than others because I have to have a characters voice come to me easily for me to actively write them or else it feels tedious and isn't fun for me.

15. Have you ever caught feelings for a roleplay partner?

No I can't say I have.

16. What is your favorite band/music genre?

I don't really have a favorite I listen to a lot of different things. From spanish music to rock, indie, rap, pop. The artists I probably listen to the most at the moment are Bad Bunny, C. Tangana, Rosalia, Nataly Peluso, IDKHBTFM, the technicolors, SZA, kali uchi, glass animals.

17. What is your favorite food?

I like making fried rice and pasta !

19. If you could learn any language at the snap of your fingers, which would you learn, and why?

Hmmm, Idk japanese so I can watch anime without having to read the captions? It also sounds really pretty to me but I can barely speak spanish perfectly I doubt I could learn another language.

20. Who is your celebrity crush?

There's a few, let's go with the obvious Ewan Mcgregor ... and Ade Edmondson and Alan Tudyk.

Christina Aguilera announces today the first chapter of her new Spanish/Latin project “La Fuerza”, coming this Friday. (01.21.22)

Her second Spanish project after 21 years. Her first project/album was “Mi Reflejo”. The album achieved success, with Aguilera receiving the Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album and two Billboard Latin Music Awards.

In September 2018, Mi Reflejo was ranked number ten on the Billboard's Top 20 Latin Albums of All Time, and in 2020 the same media brand included it on its list of the longest-leading albums of all time on the Top Latin Albums chart (at number twelve).
