I recently was reflecting on some of my older works from in my Steven Universe days, and it got me thinking. This was the result:

I've decided to go back to these old characters and retell their stories, but also remake them.

See, back in those days, I worked with an old acquaintance and we created our own AU. However, I'm no longer in contact with the person, so a lot of the stories and journeys these OCs went through will be changed. I will likely keep to just the canon diamonds too despite us having four other diamonds, but one was theirs. So, yeah, no.

Anyway, this one is Pink Pearl. She was the very first of my Pearlsonas and the one I heavily related to back then. Her story was closely linked with the acquaintance's diamond, so she's getting a major overhaul. Starting with her design.

I don't have her original anymore unfortunately, but I remember it well. I redesigned her to look more like a home world pearl for story purposes before she gets to that point she'd take up her old design again.

In addition, not all, but most of these will be Patreon exclusive stories as they will deal heavily with trauma, mental issues, and other things along those lines.

Mint pearl is a shy and sweet gem, being always calm and polite.

Background

A late Era 2 gem who was deemed “defective” due to her smaller stature and inability to speak. However, some time before her scheduled shattering, she was rescued by a few off color gems hiding below homeworld.

Now in Era 3, she spends a majority of her time In little homeworld as a music teacher. Teaching others how to play instruments and convey their emotions, good or bad, through music. And if you can’t find her there, you’ll be sure to catch her in the library.

Unique Abilities

Telepathic Communication: Mint is able to open a psionic communication line with other beings, allowing for conversations through the mind.

Trivia

She is quite skilled instrumentally and has almost every type of instrument stored within her gem (she likes to collect them.)

In every regeneration, except her first form, she seems to have her neck area concealed.

Knight of Rebellion, Night Blue Pearl

Y'all will be seeing a plethora of these designs popping up from my SU days. This here is my magnum opus of armor designs. The original thing took me 9 hours to create, including the design, outline, and coloring process. And I just, I love her again. This design was something to some people back then. And she was something to me too.

A knight I created before the fifth season. One that when she formed, was off color from the get go. She was far from subservient, but a rebel without a cause. Until she found one, much like Rose Quartz did. She fought for liberation, sanctuary, and the future.
