Everyone have a good week? I sadly contracted covid for the first time so between the wonderful fatigue I have going on, i maaged to write and read a fair but, between the whole sleeping unintentionally thing.

So, i managed 11,629 words this weeks and finished off 5 fics, not to bad, but most are pretty short little fics so there is that.

after further review I have concluded that HTTYD 1 is actually the best out of the trilogy, not HTTYD 2

#httyd 1 has the best story httyd 2 has the best visuals httyd 3 exists I guess #my biggest issues with 2 is pacing copycat alpha dragon and the villain is 2 generic #3 has a better villain but I just didnt care by that point like you know they're gonna be fine idk you know he doesn't matter #but in 2 like...stoick reunites with valka and then dies 10min after there's 0 room to breathe #toothless in 2 is just reduced to transportation dog #3 had so much potential with the hidden world glowing stuff to only give us 5min of it...sad #the style from httyd 1 is so unique and ugly but charming and by 3 its smooth Disneyfied faces #Astrid turns into an Elsa knock-off #ok rant over good night #httyd

man, book 3 start is surely a hard time for Hiccup and Fishlegs. they got lost, got captured, fishlegs almost died, hiccup lost toothless, when they get back to berk they lose their ship, they get yelled and humiliated by Gobber, then Hiccup goes home he has to listen to his own dad say his dragon (which he loves a lot) is probably dead, THEN HIS DAD THROWS HIS (HALF) BOOK (THE WORK OF HIS LIFE) ON THE FIRE and if thats not enough, he has to sleep on a cold bed having nightmares about losing his dragon.

my mind is permanently stuck on the scene of Hiccup burning his fingers to get the book out of the fire.

sometimes I truly forgot how much these kids had to go through. do you ever think about Fishlegs going home, with only Horrorcow, who he can not understand fully, after all they went through? do you think he cried on the darkness, mourning for toothless and wondering why their life has to be like this?

these two went through so much, guys. so much.

the real star-crossed lovers of btvs are xander and spike, because xander would have been dtf most days if a flimsy enough heterosexual excuse provided itself, except for that one time when he was going after spike for sleeping with anya. unfortunately for him, that is probably also the only time spike would have been down to smash.

Finally got some sketchy designs down for The Stormfly and Horrorcow that I'm happy with. Now to digitize them and settle on their colours. I have an idea for The Stormfly, but trying to find an appealing brown palate is always difficult.

So the school of Dragons game is shutting down today and I’m honestly rly sad about it bc this game was my childhood, so today I’ve been playing it and just enjoying the last moments w toothless and the gang 🥹 it’s very bittersweet and I hope somthing similar is made in the future 🥲

To be honest, the idea of the cybertronians on earth being the last of their kind kinda makes me sad. Imagine fighting a whole war and finally winning it and making peace with humans, but you can never go home, and you will very likely be the last of your original species to exist.  Like, the terrans are ADORABLE and I love them and I hope we get even more of them as the show goes on, but its so bittersweet. We get this adorably cool new bots, but at the cost of cybertronians never continuing. Like, what if something happens to all the cybertronians on earth right now? They’d go extinct. The terrans would still be there but they’d be like. Just a piece of the originals.

Kind of a dark topic, but how do you think the dragons would react to losing their riders? Through death or otherwise

Toothless - If Hiccup died I think Toothless would kinda be in denial for a while. He'd lay in Hiccup's hut and when the door opens he'd raise his head bc he's hoping it's Hiccup walking in and he gets disappointed when he realizes it isn't. He also gets super defensive over all of Hiccup's possessions for a while, like he'll growl at you and show his teeth until you leave it alone.

Stormfly - After Astrid died, I think that Stormfly would react somewhat like she reacted when they thought Garf was dead. She would lash out and panic and she would be like this for a while before she just laid down and got despondent. I think she'd probably be like that for a while like she'd refuse to eat or drink or sleep or anything for a little bit. She'd curl up around something of Astrids' and she'd probably carry it with her for a while just to have her scent with her.

Hookfang - I think that if Snotlout died, Hookfang would be very aggressive for a while; whoever killed Snotlout would definitely be dead by now. After that, I think he would be restless and distraught. Very destructive (although not on purpose, he's very big and probably on fire lol)

Meatlug - I think that Meatlug would also kinda be in denial that Fishlegs was dead just like Toothless even though she was literally there when he died. She would bring rocks and plants and stuff that she found outside and leave them in a pile in Fishlegs' hut. Outside of finding something to bring to Fishlegs' hut she would probably refuse to leave.

Barf & Belch - If the twins died, I think that they'd be very irritable. They'd fight with anyone who tried to come into the twins' hut, and they'd fight with each other. A lot of snapping at each other and small explosions. In the beginning, they would probably be very destructive, like, think giant explosion aimed at literally whatever is closest for a good couple of days, but eventually, they would mellow out.
