Cannibalistic humanoid underground dwellers. Or in Spain, Caníbales Humanoides Ululantes Demoníacos. Either way, it’s  C.H.U.D., some serious campy 80s gold! The Grue-Crew revisits this fun monster movie from 1984 for this episode of Decades of Horror 1980s. John Heard, Daniel Stern, and Christopher Curry lead the cast in Douglas Cheek’s feature film debut. But the movie is about the creatures and maybe a small cameo from John Goodman… kidding. Check out what the Grue-Crew thinks of this sci-fi/horror classic.
At the time of this writing, C.H.U.D. is available to stream from these free-with-ads sites: Roku, Tubi, PlutoTV, Hoopla, Plex; and from these subscription sites: Amazon Prime, Arrow; and of course, there are PPV options. The film is also available as a Blu-ray disc from Arrow Video.
Every two weeks, Gruesome Magazine’s Decades of Horror 1980s podcast will cover another horror film from the 1980s. The next episode’s film, chosen by Bill, will be Wicked City (1987). Why does Bill keep warning the 80s Grue-Crew about the content of this film? Hmmm . . .
Please let them know how they’re doing! They want to hear from you – the coolest, grooviest fans – so leave them a message or comment on the gruesome Magazine Youtube channel, on the website, or email the Decades of Horror 1980s podcast hosts at [email protected].

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio (AFNS) --
February is the celebration of African American history and the accomplishments of Black people around the world. There are many female pioneers in African American history with various accomplishments that come to mind. Some of these pioneers are Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Madam C.J. Walker and Shirley Chisholm. Many black women also broke barriers while serving in the U.S. Military. These women worked on the front lines or provided support to U.S. soldiers and civilian employees.

Character/Movie List
Below is movies and TV shows I like personally and are lsited as a reference. If you don't see something you're interested in, it is not that I don't like it, it is because I most likely forgot it because I love so many movies/shows tbh. Just ask, and I'll answer! And, from the Rules and Regulations page, what I had meant by "mostly" is that I can dabble outside of the acting world and into actors/actresses themselves and/or singers, popstars, etc.

All You Need to Know About Matchups!
CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE WAITLIST
Hi y'all!
This account is solely for matchups for several different fandoms. That means requests for imagines, oneshots, headcanons, etc. will NOT be taken.
Here are some basic things to know about requesting a matchup!
Unless otherwise specified for a certain fandom, a request yields one romantic pairing AND one friendship pairing as well as information on why I think you work well with the individuals I choose. Of course, if you only wish to receive either just the romantic matchup or just the friendship matchup, just let me know!
You can request matchups for several different fandoms at once! For each fandom you request, I will match you up with one romantic partner and one friend unless you request differently.
You can ask to exclude any character(s)!
Where can I request a matchup?
Requests can be made in the MATCHUP REQUESTS/ASK ME ANYTHING tab.
What do I need to include in my request?
Required
Fandom(s)
Your gender and/or pronouns
Your sexual orientation and/or preferences
Description of personality
Optional (but definitely helps me out!)
Description of appearance
Hobbies
Personality alignment (Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, Hogwarts House, etc.)
What you would look for in a partner and/or friend
Any other information you think would be helpful – the more you provide, the more I can work with!
Now with that out of the way, onto the fandoms!
Listed directly below is a shortlist of all the fandoms I take requests for as well as some extra information as needed.
Disclaimers
If a title is in italics, it means that while I feel comfortable providing matchups for this show, I have not watched every season. If a character drastically changes after a certain point, I may not be aware. The last season I watched of these shows will be included in parentheses.
All movies/shows based on novels will most likely focus on the on-screen adaptations of characters.
SHOWS
The 100 (6)
Good Omens
The Good Place (3)
Lucifer (4)
On My Block
Parks and Recreation (4)
Prodigal Son (1)
Sherlock
Space Force
Supernatural (14)
The Walking Dead (8)
MOVIES
Clueless
The Greatest Showman
Harry Potter -- Unless specified in request, will entail 2 sets of matchups as a student (Golden Trio and Marauders eras respectively)
The Hunger Games
Marvel Cinematic Universe -- Unless age is specified, underage characters will NOT be available for romantic matchups
BROADWAY
Anastasia
Beetlejuice
Carrie (2012 Off-Broadway)
Hadestown

Les Misérables
The Phantom of the Opera

VIDEO GAMES

What’s below the cut?
A masterlist of characters in each fandom that will be considered for each request (unless marked with an asterisk (*), all characters are assumed to be available for both romantic AND friendly matchups while names marked with an asterisk are only available for friendly matchups). Listed alphabetically by first name.
Don’t be afraid to tell me about a typo!
Any questions? Just want to talk? You can also use the  MATCHUP REQUESTS/ASK ME ANYTHING tab to get ahold of me!

Dan Stevens & audiobooks
Tumblr media
Many of you will already know that Dan has narrated, or rather performed, more than 30 audiobooks as well as numerous and varied radio dramas & readings.
However, many do not know or realise what a masterful grasp he has on languages, dialects, accents and the ages of the characters, whether they be man or woman, boy or girl.
I am listening, again, to “Fall of Giants” by Ken Follett which has one of the broadest range of characters, each one of which is amazingly “inhabited” by Dan.
Below is a very long list of characters in that book - and remember each is portrayed differently by Dan which makes it such an enjoyable “listen”. It is an amazing performance and I truly hope that one day he will find some time to provide us with more audiobooks to enjoy.
Those who already enjoy these works will need no convincing, and they will have many favourites, as do I, especially work such “My Dear I Wanted To Tell You”, “The Invisible Ones”, “History of A Pleasure Seeker”, “Wolf Hall”, “War Horse”.......and more

Patrick Schwarzenegger plays a key role in Amy Poehler's new Netflix comedy-drama, Moxie, but he's certainly not a newcomer to the world of acting. The Los Angeles native is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver. At 27-years-old, Schwarzenegger has made every effort to make a name for himself despite such noteworthy family ties. Aside from acting, Schwarzenegger had a modeling career, developed a clothing line, and franchised a pizza restaurant. He also graduated from the University of Southern California in 2016 before expanding his acting career.
In Moxie, Schwarzenegger portrays Mitchell Wilson, a lead antagonist who sets off the chain of events at the center of the movie. When toxic behavior begins to spread at her high school, Vivian Carter (Hadley Robinson) uses her mother's (Amy Poehler) rebellious past as inspiration to create a zine. The published work then fires up a school-wide revolution. As the resident bad boy, Mitchell is responsible for much of the school's disgracefully sexist environment. His bullying turns out to be a factor that convinces Vivian to help bring change for her peers.
Related: Read Screen Rant's Review Of Moxie
Despite being cast as Moxie's villain, Schwarzenegger doesn't have a lot of experience portraying hateful characters. Granted, the actor has plenty of acting experience considering his early entry into the career. Schwarzenegger's first role came in 2006's The Benchwarmers before deciding to practice the craft for a serious career. Six years passed until he starred in Stuck in Love as the supporting character named Glen. The following year, Schwarzenegger played a Frat kid in Adam Sandler's Grown Ups 2. 2015 wound up being a turning point in the young actor's career based on his role as Jeff in Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse and an appearance in the comedy slasher Scream Queens.
Tumblr media
In 2016, Schwarzenegger appeared in Dear Eleanor, a coming-of-age film directed by Kevin Connolly that was set during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The actor played Bud in the title, which also featured Isabelle Fuhrman, Jessica Alba, Josh Lucas, and Luke Wilson. From there, he moved onto another coming-of-age movie with 2017's Go North. That same year, Schwarzenegger was seen in The Long Road Home, a National Geographic miniseries based on Martha Raddatz's The Long Road Home: A Story of War and Family. He played Sgt. Ben Hayhurst in the show that told the story of a trapped U.S. Army unit during the first day of the Siege of Sadr City.
2018's Midnight Sun (not to be confused with Stephenie Meyer's Twilight companion novel) marked Schwarzenegger's first leading role when he starred opposite Bella Thorne. He portrayed Charlie Reed, the love interest of a teenage girl who had a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. Schwarzenegger followed that with another lead role, but this time it was in a psychological horror titled Daniel Isn't Real. The actor portrayed the titular role of Daniel, an imaginary friend to a boy named Luke who suffered from a terrible trauma growing up. More recently, Schwarzenegger was seen in Echo Boomers, a crime drama from Seth Savoy in which the actor played Lance Zutterland, a college graduate who set out to pull off a dangerous heist. After Moxie, Schwarzenegger can be found in the upcoming sci-fi thriller, Warning, which will reunite him with his Echo Boomers co-star, Alex Pettyfer.
