Aaand this artwork is done, yay!

This is a dnd character I played in a Strixhaven campaign last year! Human artificer and Lorehold student, goes by he/she pronouns. I'm not sure how to translate his name correctly (I wasn't playing in english), I guess it's El? Yel? (with a sofl L at the end) Stormsong. Anyways...

This was actually my first dnd campaign (I participates in handful of writting-based roleplays waaay back in like 2010-2014 and played one session in warhammer 40k campaign which I didn't like because I know next to nothing about the setting but my friend dragged me there).

So, few notes from the campaign itself:

In the first year Larine almost died from exhaustion because she took all her free time for extra practice before the water-dancing club had a large performance on Rose Stage (which was it's own shenanigans to find someone who can cast and controll the huge mass of water to give us, like, temporary magical pool on stage).

Also in year 3 Larine won the magical fashion show and ended up working as designer later on.

My character and Aurora almost killed each other. Not like that, they were besties and tried to handle some issues with Aurora's dhampir hunger that was triggered by her falling in love with another NPC and, well, I'll just say it was one of the most emotional moments in the whole campaign and the only time I cried. Eventually DM decided it's too much and we got a happy ending (both survived) but damn.

Also right after that my character got in trouble because, well, she took so much damage she had to go to the hospital, but he tried to convince people that's just study experiment went wrong and not a dhampir bite so she got scolded by professor for allegedly messing with necromancy.

Quentillius tried to hit on Jawenish (unsuccessfully) and eventually ended up dating my character instead. They married after graduation and opened a shop selling magical music instruments.

Strixhaven Art Collection!

With my Strixhaven campaign having come to a close, here's a dump of art I've done throughout the course of our game

One of my favorite pieces, Catalyst and her girlfriend Aurora cuddling together. Aurora doesn't actually sleep, but as a dhampyr she does have a special diet. That being dreams. So while she doesn't need to sleep and doesn't need to spend 8 hours lazing around, she chooses to spend that time cuddled up with her girlfriend, occasionally snacking on her dreams.

Catalyst's year four portrait. When we got to our final year of Strixhaven it felt necessary to give an update to Catalyst's portrait, which hadn't been redone since we started the game at year one.

Catalyst and Delphi found a frog! Attuned to a special magic item Catalyst gained blindsight, allowing her to sense a small creature hanging around Delphi's feet. What we weren't expecting was for it to scream the entire time it was held, and continue to scream as it sank into the water on a Lily pad.

Allure! Catalyst's familiar. He's an art elemental, and while he's normally very happy, friendly, and generally a bouncy little guy, when he got knocked to 1hp in a single hit he got very very mad.

When two worlds collide. Catalyst and Aurora are from two very very different places. Catalyst hails from the fountains of creation, where the elemental planes of fire and earth meet each other. It is hot, it is dangerous, but it is her home nonetheless. Aurora on the other hand is from a northern country on the material plane. A place ruled by vampires, and fairly chilly, but otherwise relatively normal to most. It never mattered to the two of them how different their worlds were, all that mattered to them was they had each other.

Jinkies, it looks like we're dealing with a cosmic horror gang! Over a summer adventure Catalyst and her friends (Oakley, Delphi, and Adith) went to help a man they met in sigil, whose planet had been taken over by a cosmic horror.

And some silly pieces I did! I spent most sessions drawing to occupy my hands while we played, so lots of silly little doodles came out of our game.

While that's not all the art I did for our Strixhaven game, it's a good chunk of it. More to come later! I'm gonna miss this game, it was so much fun to play alongside my friends. 🩷

One of the things I love is that Strix U still uses the Strixhaven dnd NPCs, which results in a dynamic where some of the audience knows a version of the NPCs before the players. So like Aurora Wynterstar will show up and people will cheer for their goth queen or how everyone is mad at Lamar for breaking up with known sweetheart Nora Ann Wu

I have a new DND character and y’all get to hear about him

We just started a Strixhaven campaign and I’m playing a blue tiefling wizard in the Quandrix college and i adore him. His name is Ixęcâ, but most people call him Isaiah (an Infernal name and a Common name, really). He went into Strixhaven with his girlfriend Aurora (thank you dm for blessing me with pretty vampire lady), who is one of the dating options in the book

Ixe (Ikes)(a nickname from Aurora) is CN, and is. definitely a lil unhinged. During the first session, during a scavenger hunt, there was a group of upperclassmen snickering at them and as he was leaving, he just casts Tasha’s Hideous Laughter. And during a fight with a mimic and a Theater Kid, he 1) stopped the Theater Kid from casting, 2) pushed the mimic back with fuckin Velocity Shift, and 3) had to be stopped from burning the entire stage to the ground with a fire spell on the mimic which was actively fleeing

He is not mentally sound and I love him for it.

I love my D&D Character so much. We’re playing a heavily modified strixhaven campaign. We’re on 4th year about to fight the final boss but won’t be playing for awhile due to winter break.

Meet Marceline Mossglow, a oath of the ancients Paladin. A half elf half assimar with a everyone is friendshaped attitude. She’s dating goth queen Aurora Luna Wyntrstar and is working on acquiring 2 additional girlfriends for them both. I did new outfit designs for every year so here’s all of them. First year she wears her own favorite colors, then second year silverquill colors and then she double majors into Quandrix as well as silverquill so has colors from all the schools plus gold.

Into the Temple

While the others prepare for rest, Theren goes to find his old friend Nalzaer. Instead he comes across Jynra and learns that his assumption was correct - his friend is indeed involved in Fei’s kidnapping and currently with Aloysia in the temple. 

After a tense night, the group sets out towards the temple and gets attacked by two gloomstalkers at the gates. After defeating them, they head inside. 

In the first room they see a large statue of a handsome bearded demon-man standing in a pool of dark liquid. Unelias almost gets entranced by the liquid but gets yanked back just in time, while Relic almost remembers who the statue is depicting. [Zerxus Ilerez] 

They proceed further inside through different rooms, past murals depicting the Calamity and the gods fighting the Betrayers.  Relic sacrifices their Strixhaven plush to solve a riddle and get the group past a locked door into a room where the group runs into another pair of monsters - this time two Abishai. Defeating them grants a hint at another elemental-based riddle which the group solves by throwing shards into braziers and taking on elements. Theren (green) - poison Althea (red) - fire Relic (blue) - lightning Unelias (white) - ice

Past that door they head through a winding corridor and find a wounded Aurora Watch member, one that had initially joined Aloysia’s party and had been left behind to clear the rear. Althea patches him up to save his life and forces him to show them the way to the group they have been searching.
