You know what bothers me in Spy School? Nobody cries. From what I can recall (I have to reread a lot of the books) no one has just cried. Like openly sobbed. And they’ve all almost died before? I think that’s a pretty good reason to cry, is it not? Would love to see at least one character (preferably Ben or Erica -sorry) just cry a little bit

ok, I am admittedly too old to be reading the spy school series, but I need to talk about this.

I just got to the part where Zoe says that she thinks she has a crush on Svetlana, and that makes me so happy. Like, if this book had come out like two years earlier I would have had such an easier time coming to terms with my sexuality. Stuart Gibbs is such a great writer for kids

Spy School Sexuality Headcanons

Ben is bi. He had a tiny crush on Mike when he was younger and got jealous whenever he got a new girlfriend.

Erica is also bi. I don’t like Berica but if those two got together they would go be major bi couple energy.

Zoe is a lesbian. Ben was comphet and bc Stuart Gibbs 100 percent messed up her arc by making her have a crush on Ben.

Mike is omni with a preference for girls. It just makes sense. He would be that one guy who wears dresses and skirts to pride parades and shit
