“There are two types of Christians. There are those who can say with the Apostle Paul, ‘I have been crucified with Christ: it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20)’. And then there are those Christians who believe Christ was crucified so that we do not have to crucify ourselves. The first type are part of a Christianity of sacrifice, and the second are given over to the ego.

The Christian who believes he must be crucified with Christ will constantly call upon the Lord for help, but will be ever willing to take up his own cross and follow Christ. He does not expect to have an easy road, nor is he easy on himself. This type of Christian is ever looking at his own sins, his own fallen nature, and seeing how far he has fallen short of the glory of God.

The second type of Christian expects the road to be easy, sees himself as more spiritual than most, and is constantly looking to see the error in his neighbor and offer correction. He rarely calls upon the Lord for help, for he expects an easy road and only prays for help when facing an unpleasant situation. He does not take up his cross since he sees no value in suffering. This second type of Christian fails to notice that refusing to judge another brings down God's mercy on himself.

The Lord tells both types of Christians, ‘If a man comes to me and does not bear his cross, he cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:26)’. Only the first type of Christian notices those words, and heeds them.”

shiv was not being altruistic nor intellectually self-interested when she voted against kendall. that was pure raw visceral desperation to maintain some semblance of dignity that she felt kendall being ceo would shred her of. sometimes people do not act in other people’s best interests or their own best interests. sometimes people do the wrong thing for the wrong reasons just because it feels like the right, the only, thing to do. shiv could not let kendall be ceo. she just couldn’t. not because she wanted to sacrifice herself to “stop the cycle,” not because she made a calculation and decided tom was her best interest — because the thought of kendall being ceo and acting like That the rest of their lives when shiv earned that job, she fucking earned it, that was too much to fucking bear. watching him sit in dad’s chair, conduct that vote, grin with entitlement and cockiness and certainty — seeing that elicited a visceral painful all-consuming sensation not dissimilar to overwhelming nausea that, summed up in two words, would simply be: fuck. no. she couldn’t live with that. she just couldn’t. it’s not kind. it’s not smart. it’s just human. painfully, destructively human. because sometimes, that’s all there is to it. not just for shiv, but for everyone. god knows roman and kendall have had those same feelings, made those same self-destructing yet necessary-feeling decisions throughout the show. why does it have to be different for shiv? why can’t she be painfully destructively human, prone to impulsive ill-conceived viscerally felt actions, like everyone else? why are we incapable of allotting her the same nuance and humanity (the good and the bad), the same trauma-informed self-destructive life-ruining hamartias, as we do her brothers? why can’t we fit a whole woman in our heads?

Different strokes for different folks.

Vasco finds sleepwear kind of unnecessary and restricting. He doesn't insist on sleeping nude and can go to bed decently dressed if the situation calls for it, but if it's up to him and he's comfortable and in trusted company, he prefers wearing very little.

Machete gets cold easily and has weird body image issues, not being properly covered tends to distress him. Plus he has a thing for high guality garments and wants to look pretty or at least passably presentable even in bed.

Animal shelter at the mansion

Something strange is starting to happen in Gotham; multiple reports of different animals running through the streets but they look green and translucent, it seems that no one has been able to capture any of them.

This, of course, catches Damian's attention, who takes ownership of the case the minute he hears about it. He doesn't quite understand what kind of animals they are, but he'll do everything he can to protect them, even if he can barely touch them.

The Batfamily isn't quite sure what to do about it, it's obvious the animals aren't going anywhere but they all seem to be following Damian to the mansion, and as much fun as it is, Bruce already had one too many cardiac arrests at the sight of the green tiger.

On the other hand, Danny is extremely concerned when Clockwork informs him of an unstable portal that the ghosts of the Realms have been using. It's obvious that the humans only noticed the ghost animals, but Danny is aware that many others went through that portal and are about to cause chaos.
