"c'mon iceman i know you can do it" maverick was smug, smirking at the blonde man in front of him.

they were currently at a bar, drinking to celebrate the success of yet another mission. while everyone else was busy drinking and having fun, ice and mav were too busy making bets on who would win the dart game they were playing, and after what felt like 50 rounds, mav came out as the winner just by 15 points.

iceman is not always this much of a bad loser, but losing to maverick annoyed him to no end. and on top of that, he was now taunting him, demanding he now has to announce to the other pilots that mav is the best one between the two.

it’s been at least fifteen minutes since the game came to an end, and now they’ve made it everyone’s problem, with iceman being stubborn and refusing to accept that he lost, and maverick being full of smirks and acting like he's the best.

they were flirting, obviously so.

"just get it over with man," sighed goose, annoyed at the two men trying to hide their feelings for each other (and failing).

ice looked around him, seeing everyone looking done with the two, and then stared back at mav.

"FINE, fine.. maverick, you are.. ugh, do i really have to do this here in front of everyone?" he looked at mav, defeated.

mav chuckled, "uh yes you do tom"

using ice’s real name was a low move, and also the final push he needed

"ugh.. maverick, you are the best pilot between the two of us, there, happy now?"

"FUCKING FINALLY", the crew erupted in happy cheers and laughs

they locked eyes, and mav smiled, looking happier than ever.

So yeah, Silvamy brainrot hours

I love both qpr and romantic silvamy, though I do think I lean more towards qpr silvamy.

Because the way I see Silvamy is that they just love each other and aren't afraid to show it through actions and never really feel the need to say it. Because they know they're loved by the other. It doesn't matter as much to me if that love is romantic or not because either way it's so so so strong.

I kept getting hung up on like how they would get together, how their confession would go and then I realized: They don't need that. They just have an understanding between them, and yeah, they'll talk about boundaries in terms of touch and stuff, but there's never any question of whether the other loves them. They feel it so strongly from the other person that there's no reason to question it.

I think Amy at the very least deserves a secure relationship like that, and with Silver, I think he's been lonely enough throughout his life that he's 1. very touch-starved, and 2. not afraid to show people he loves them. He's very new to it, and rather naïve. I think he very much shows his affection like a little kid, and he kinda loves everybody at first. But I think Amy would be one of his favorite people because of how kind she is to everyone around her. And Amy would love Silver because of how strong his will is to make the world a better place to live in.

They both have so much love and kindness in them and determination to match that of course they would gravitate towards each other, and whether that's platonic or romantic is up to interpretation, and that's what I think is beautiful about it.

Oh my god it's like almost 3 am and I'm almost in tears thinking about Sonic growing older and slowly realizing he never truly got a childhood

Not only was he homeless as a kid but he had to watch his back at all times after the first time he fights off Eggman. Every time he's done dealing with one catastrophe another comes in and takes it's place. Eggman comes back more dangerous than the last time, or some other villain comes up, or he has to face some god trying to destroy everything, or Silver will come warning of some world-ending calamity that leaves their future in shambles

He also has an image to uphold now. He doesn't let himself enjoy many of the things normal kids do either because he just never has time or because he doesn't want to be perceived as childish (despite him, y'know, BEING A CHILD, and him always going on about having no shame in being yourself to others, he thinks it's embarrassing)

He was forced to grow up too quickly and it's only in fleeting moments in the privacy of his and Tails' home that he lets himself be a kid

And I'm just imagining him yearning to have what other kids have. Deep down yearning to have even the smallest shred of normalcy. And finally letting himself indulge in the things he never could (or never let himself indulge in) when he was younger

Getting himself the toys he never got to play with as a kid, letting himself enjoy things that once seemed childish to him. Finding comfort. He'll even do it through Tails, playing with him whenever he gets the chance, building Lego sets and puzzles with him as that's what Tails likes the most, and not doing it as an older brother or parent but as an equal friend (because I just realized he had to raise this kid while being a kid himself, too)

And maybe all that includes letting himself cry a little, letting himself mourn what he couldn't have back then. Letting all the pent up grief out and just. Letting himself rest

Because he needs it
