That episode in season 2 of Avengers Assemble where they're having a mini civil war and Steve and Tony pretend to not like each other anymore. Bickering in the middle of the battle but at the same time, making sure the other doesn't die. And then they're pretending to have a verbal standoff again, only for it turn into one of the best moments in AA.
'You don't get it, Cap. Arsenal is my father's greatest creation'
'No, you don't get it. Arsenal isn't your father's greatest creation. You are.
Make him proud, Tony.'
And I fucking cried.... Like, that is such a sweet moment. The soft way in which he says 'Make him proud, Tony' while squeezing Tony's shoulder and giving him that proud, really soft smile......... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
AA!Steve gets Tony Stark. He is a flawed man who keeps making mistakes, but in the end, he's a hero who's willing to do whatever it takes to save everyone. He's a genius who has not one, not five but seventeen different ways to defeat the bad guys (Steve's words, not mine) and takes any risks necessary to save the world ('Tony Stark does that 5 times before breakfast', Steve says to Fury). AA! Steve doesn't jump to conclusions, isn't judgemental and isn't a hypocrite. He's supportive, patient, loyal and pretty much in love with Tony Stark!
Avengers Assemble Stony is absolutely precious to me!
