A/N: I think most of these guys would be great dads to your kid!

Dad!Kaeya is really nervous to become a real dad. Yes he's been good with your kid but when you told him you were pregnant he panicked a little. He knows that you're happy, and he's happy but he's also nervous about actually raising a baby from infancy. When he married you your kid was really happy to have him as a dad because he was so sweet and fun, so both you and your kid feel like he'll do a great job.

Dad!Diluc loves that he's gonna be a dad. He takes care of you very well through your pregnancy but really freaks out when you go into labor. In the tavern no less. He's never panicked so hard in his life and never ran so fast in his life. The man stayed up all night until he could see you and the baby, almost collapsing into the chair once he knows you're both okay. As a dad though he's very attentive, bent on teaching the kid right from wrong very early on in their life and only a little strict but making up for it with his vigilante stories which he disguises as a fairy tail about a hero from long ago.

Dad!Itto is amazing with kids, he always was so when he has kids of his own you bet that he's gonna be the best and most fun dad. He was a little worried at first because he didn't know how a human's body would handle an oni baby but you took it pretty well. There wasn't a time he wasn't by your side, running errands, getting ready to meet the kid, hyping himself up, sometimes while talking against the baby bump. The moment he saw the tiniest red horns he's ever seen he absolutely melted and started crying.

Dad!Thoma is a very attentive dad and pretty excited to have a second kid. He was running around with the kid on his shoulders when you called him to the bedroom and told him the news. He reacted with the biggest kiss and running back out to tell your kid they're gonna have a sibling, they're gonna get to be the cool big sibling soon! Knows very well the things you will crave in your pregnancy and was surprised when the kid picked up on it too, tagging along when he needed to run errands for you.

Dad!Childe was excited at first but as the due date approached he got a bit doubtful of his ability to be a dad. He's always on missions and while that might work with you since you were able to come with him on most of them he can't exactly bring a baby to a mission. Because of this he starts to decrease the amount of missions he accepts the closer you get to your due date. That way he gets to spend more time with you and he doesn't have to suddenly stop going on missions and raise suspicion. When he does go on missions he at least makes sure to bring you both something from it, almost like he was away on a business trip.

Dad!Pantalone can fill a whole library from the amount of books he's bought on parenting in the last few months. He can never be too prepared for a kid. Very hesitant at the start because the baby is so small he's honestly scared of hurting it. No way he can resist holding it though when you lay it on his chest and cuddle up next to him, asking him to read a book like he used to do for you when you were stressed about things. Well the only books he has in hands reach are about parenting so guess you get to learn together.

Dad!Dottore already can't wait to make the next one and the first one has barely arrived. It almost seems like he's more excited about the baby making process then actually being a dad, which you could have guessed by the many times he's complimented your appearance while you were pregnant. Well if he wants another kid he needs to prove he can handle this one first. Of course he can, he's a brilliant man, one kid is nothing! Or so he thought before it was running all over his lab and causing unwanted chaos.

Dad!Tighnari is really happy to become a dad and is already looking into decorating the baby room and babyproofing the house. Trust him, even if the kid will be part human it will bite everything it sees, he was the exact same. You sure had some weird cravings while you were pregnant but hey he won't judge... much. Oh he has to tease a little, you're cute when you try to catch him with your belly so round. When the kid arrives he already knows he'll have his hands full until you recover but he's not worried, he'll take the kid out on some light patrols and tire them out in no time at all.

Dad!Zhongli has never been a dad until this point so its a bit of a learning curve. Having lived such a long life he knows you'll need his assistance during pregnancy and he is ready to be there every step of the way, kissing you, telling you you're beautiful when you think you look bloated or massaging you when your joints hurt. As far as being a dad goes he doesn't really know how to handle that, making the kid cry a few times because of his shining eyes lighting up when the kid would pull on his dragon tail. Over time he used that to distract the kid while feeding them their meals, using his dragon nature to his advantage.

n he's like !! yes really !! mhm !! let's go get dooonuttsssss ☺️☺️☺️ !!! so he takes you in and you get two donuts, but you definitely split it with him, 'cause he just got a cup of black coffee because he is the most boring grumpy man on earth - you're feeding him little bites of the donut and he's getting all flustered and blushy and grinny aaaah

next is a shopping spree!! probably lets you choose between shopping malls on your next slips of paper, and then you're free to run rampant around whichever one you choose. there is no spending limit, but he won't let you just take his card, 'cause he wants to do the spoiling himself >:)) he heads to the cashier with a big hefty basket full of clothes or shoes or craft supplies or beauty products or candles or books or cookware or athletic gear or whatever you manage to stock up on at the various stores and lets you snuggle into his shoulder as he swipes his card ( daddy's got money >:))) ) and ofc he's your bagboy!! you can run around the mall grabbing more stuff from stores, he'll trail behind you and carry all of your bags :]

next is lunch, and you've got the option between your two favorite fast food places :')) it's only fast food though bc he wants to double task, he lets you choose between visiting an animal shelter and visiting a museum and he wants to drive while you eat. you end up picking the animal shelter, which is a relief because he knows you would have been disappointed to miss that even if you did enjoy the museum. he doesn't actually let you see what you picked this time, but he'll let you see the 'museum' one so that you can get just a liiiittle sad that you're not going there and then BAM. pulls up to the animal shelter and it all goes away.

you recognize the building, but there's a few little boutiques in the same parking lot so you turn to him like 🥺 aaron where r we going 🥺 trying not to get your hopes up bc you don't wanna pitch a fit if you think you're getting a pet and then you end up going clothes shopping again!! but he grins and leans over the center console to kiss you and he says 'we're going to the shelter, honey. penelope's on petsitting duty.' and !!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞

you're sooo excited, you race inside and whether you choose to head to the dog section, the cat section, the bird section, the bunny section, or whatever else they've got, you are just sososososo happy to be there making new friends :'))) aaron watches as you win over a really shy, really scared puppy, or get the hissiest, scratchiest little cat to trust you, or manage to get a bunny to fall asleep right in your lap and the entire time he's just got this crazy fond adoring smile on his face :'))) he takes a million and one pictures, and tbh he's not trying but i bet he's got little critters crawling all over him too.. like he's trying to take a picture of you loving on a sweet pitbull you're petting and there's a little chihuahua worming her way under his arm and sniffing all excitedly in his ear 🥹🥹🥹 he laughs and kinda squirms away from her wet little nose but he def spends the rest of the time petting her and he might even bend his original plan a little if you want to take her home as well :')) aaron is def the man to pretend he does NOT want a dog and then two days later is moving his spot on the couch every hour as the sun moves through your living room so that she can always be sunbathing in his lap 💞💞

anyways i got on a tangent about hotch + puppies BUT !! afterwards ofc you need supplies for whatever pet(s) you've chosen, so you head over to the pet store and you get to spoil your new babies just like aaron has spoiled you all day :')) it takes a while, you need to be sure you're getting the right stuff/enough stuff to keep them well taken care of, and maybe you get a little overboard with the toys.. whatever.. but then you head back home for a bit to get them situated, get everything dog/cat/pet proofed, and then it's time for dinner!! he's a little sad bc if you had gone to the museum he was going to take you out for a nice dinner afterwards but since you're home with new pet(s) now and you don't want to leave them quite yet, he decides to let you choose between takeout places, but he's only sad 'cause he doesn't get to spoil you with an elegant dinner!! he's more than happy to curl up on the couch with some takeout containers and your new pet(s), if you'd gone the dog route he's probably all stern while they beg for a bite of his dinner like >:| no >:| and ofc he's sooo scary and intimidating so the dog listens to him right away but you're less scary and intimidating and the puppy can have some noodles if they want !!!!!!!

if you'd gone the cat route, your new kitty probably does not beg for food, they just take it <3 aaron goes hey! and you look up from the tv to see a little clawed paw swiping away a piece of his chicken >:)) this is the beginning of their feud they bicker all the time.

the birds and the bunnies (and probably whatever other animal you'd decided on) are easier to wrangle for dinnertime, but the night ends with you all snuggled up with aaron and (probably) your new pet(s), you're watching a movie on the couch and do not think about aaron and your new little puppy or kitty yawning in unison 🥺🥺 UGH you are just so happy and full of love for your wonderful man who looooves spoiling you, you definitely give his face a billion smooches and he gets all grinny and red and smiley when you do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if he posts the video as a tiktok (with penelope's help) no one lets him live it down, they're all teasing him about how whipped he is for you but atp he doesn't care !!!!!!! he's more focused on watching you watch the video and reliving the memories :')))

First, a romantic walk at the beach, like at the end of the day. James was in his office until 3pm talking with guys about the next songs from the new album and he'd suggest the idea, feeling he needed to get out.

It's fall already, sun is setting earlier so you enjoy walking on the sand, your arms embracing James' big arm as you both walk slowly and peacefully, listening to the sound of the waves. Sometimes your glance gets lost on seagulls flying over the sea, seeking for something to eat. Sometimes you just listen to James that will learn you a lot of things about the marine life in San Fransisco...

When the dark would come, you'd go back home. You'd share a perfect homemade dinner you cooked together - with meat of course - before heading to bed. You'd be both exhausted due to the sea air that completely knocked you out but it won't be enough to stop you from sharing cuddles that will soon go into a sweet and short love making session.

After reaching ecstasy one after the other, you'd snuggle against James bare chest, listening to his heart beating on your ear as your head would be rocked by his breathe. Your hand would lazily draw some lines on his skin as you enjoy this peaceful and intimate moment after sex.

James would bend over a bit to kiss your head, whispering a tender "I love you" and you'd answer with the same loving tone, kissing his chest. Then you'd go for a deep and serious conversation about life, past and future. You'd change your position though to lean with your head on his chest to look at his beautiful face. And you listen to him talk, lost in his beautiful blue eyes.

But an hour later, you'd soon feel tiredness coming as you'd feel bit sleepy. When he'll see you yawn, James would shut the lights down, opening a space under the cover for you to settle next to him, sleeping with your head on his shoulder. And you'd finally fall asleep, with a happy smile on your face, thinking how grateful you were to love and to be loved by such a man...

He appears in the doorframe, holding onto the knob as if expecting you to tell him to piss off. But you don’t. Of course you don’t, because that’s what he does.

Something inside of him twisted when you had spun on your heel to seek refuge in your bedroom. Your shiny eyes dissolved all his organs into a guilt-flavoured goop, and now it sloshes inside of him with every step, bubbling up and sitting not quite right in his stomach.

He shifts his weight from foot to foot, fingers twisting tighter around the knob. His cheek indents where he begins to chew it, and your sniffle breaks the silence. Your eyes sting and you sit with your knees to your chest for comfort, wishing that the awful hot shame and hurt inside you would dissipate at last. He inhales slowly, his eyes flit over to you.

“Listen, Y/N. It’s for your own good, if you’d just—“

“My own good? Billy, I’m an adult. I can make my own choices, and you need to respect that.” Keeping your voice steady is challenging.

“Yeah, I do, I do.” He says it fast, knowing it’s what you want to hear.

“No, you don’t. I can see it in your face; you’re more worried about yourself, Billy. You want to protect your feelings, not me,” more tears silently trail down your cheeks, hot to the touch. Your realisation is one that shatters your heart, snapping in two the idea that William Butcher might actually care about someone else.

He shakes his head, “No, no!” His walk forces the end of his coat to fly behind him, and the bed dips when he sits next to you, knocking you off balance.

He steadies you and his eyes are glassy. Veins of red poke through the whites and you’ve never seen this side of him before.

“That ain’t true. I ain’t gonna lose you over some fuckin’ scrap one day that wouldn’t’ve happened if you weren’t there. Been there before, and I ain’t doing it again.”

You hug yourself tighter, feel his fingers by your thigh.

“Teach me how to fight, then,” you say. “You were in the army, right?”

“I ain’t setting up a bootcamp underneath a bloody pawn shop.”

You’ve run out of words that won’t blow into another argument, so you opt to look at him, pleading for both of your sakes because you need to walk around without Butcher’s impending wrath and Butcher needs to work through his trauma.

He crumbles. Sighs and runs a hand over his face.

“Alright. Alright, you win,” you smile at him but then he takes your face into his hands. “But you’ve got to take this seriously. No jokes, no wasting time. This is for you.”

For you.

“Yeah, of course,” you say wetly, relieved at the outcome. He leans back against the pillows and takes you with him until your head is resting on his chest and his hand is stroking your hair.

OMG YAYY HIIEEE OKAY I CANT WAIT TO ANSWER!!!! :3

💕- So!! A character that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE AND ADORE but don’t speak a lot about is… well… there are a couple!!

The first one that comes to mind is Romania! And this is a newer favorite of mine!! I mentioned I think in an ask that I’m still catching up on newer hetalia lore and characters and stuff! And I finally got around to reading Romania’s segments and learning more about him and… I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM!!! He’s quickly becoming a character I attach to because of his personality, or what I gathered from personal interpretation!

He’s so positive and silly and I think I’ve seen other people describe him as an orange cat! But what I think is very relatable is that he’s charming and positive but ALSO loves folklore and (what other people consider) creepy things! I’ve always been drawn to the macabre, I practice and believe in magic, and it just so happens that my second biggest passion is Vampires (among other supernatural beings and lore!)

Other characters that fall into this category are Japan, Belarus, Ukraine, and Belgium! BIG emphasis on Belgium she’s my favorite hetalia lady!! I used to have a Belgium roleplay account on twitter (before it became confusing 🥹) so if any of you remember waffle mun… hi… that’s me🫶

💛- OKAY!!! A friendship that doesn’t exist in canon but I want to see… I might be biased here, and also I don’t think???? It’s happened in canon??? But they have interacted!! It’s..!!!!! (Drumroll)

Finland and Italy!!!! I think these two would get along so well and I’m biased because they’re my favorite characters (in the ‘im just like them’ category) Finland and Italy are both bright and cheery and sweet! Their kindness would fill the whole room up! But, I also see them as two very anxious people (IM PROJECTING AAAAH) I usually portray Finland with OCD, as I’ve been coping with my own OCD after coming off of anxiety medicine. And in the same vein, I’ve always portrayed Italy as an extrovert who is also socially anxious (and sometimes socially unaware.) I think these two could help each other in moments of stress, as I’ve always noticed I forget my anxiety when I see a loved one in trouble! The need to help people you care about almost always overrides fear, and I think their friendship would be beneficial to both of them!

(Also another friendship I’d love to see is Canada and Italy, but I could dedicate a whole post to that BAHAH)

🪞- YES! I ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN MEANING TO TALK ABOUT THIS!!! Also, heads up, this is gonna get a bit personal!!

It’s no secret Finland is my favorite character! And that’s for a multitude of reasons. But I actually first got very attached to him because of how he was physically portrayed. He’s short, chubby, rounded. I used to be very chubby because medicine made me gain a lot of weight (the same anxiety medicine I mentioned I got off of!) Well, last month actually marked a year of being off it, and within that year, I lost all the weight I gained (45 pounds!) Of course, this also was because I started exercising a bit more and stuff!! But all in all, I’m very proud of how far I’ve come and I love how I look!

All of this is to say, I give Finland my body type. While I am short and slim, I’m by no means a twig! My portrayal of Finland still has a soft tummy and rounded face and thicker arms and thighs! It’s mostly my height I give him, making him the second shortest Nordic, but even then… he’s still taller than me 🥹 (I’m 5’2” / 158 cm for reference!!) I know a lot of people portray Finland as chubbier/fatter and let me tell you THAT IS AMAZING AND CORRECT AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I LOVE CHUBBY FINLAND TO THE DAY I DIE!!!!!!! The only reason I give him my body type as I grow and change is just for the simple fact that I am very attached to him! I see myself when I look at him, which probably sounds really silly! But these stupid hetalia characters have been with me at my worst moments, have been with me through hospital visits, and they give me a lot to look forward to!

I finally made it - after I spoiled myself in my work break a little bit, I barely made it till the end! - but now I watched Ep 3 of Only friends - and witnessed acting greatness and also a Barbenheimer happening.

So let's dig (ck - yes u Boston!) In:

Mew: I have still zero clue about him tbh. He might be fucked up differently I guessed multiple times. Is he innocence or is he a mess? He kissed Ray some time 2 years ago apparent? Was he drunk? Lot of questions! Books acting is so great shit...

Top: Force did such an amazing job it's so good. I really was (am???) so fond of the way Top is with Mew. He asks for consent, he let's him be (till Ton makes his moves...)...but he has that thing going on with Sand somehow? (Next Ep will be crazy omg - that Middle finger haha I loved that sm) also Top is so naive to believe a single shit Ton says? God. (The car scene alone had so many emotions in forces face...I can't with him. I love to hate him bc he just did that and we all know sb like him..I do..poor lost soul)

Ray: Khao is making him so desperately insecure and sexy and annoying and also lonely boy vibes with those big puppy eyes god man. Not just Sand is amazed (or what ever u may call it). All his scenes give me those vibes that when u in his hands u never get out alive...except Mew has him in his hands...man that's all so fucked up lol

Sand: I love how First plays him. I love his bratty attitude and the way he trys to life through his shit. Also his style love that (succer for band shirts urg) also he has that blanc space I can not fill for now. Either he is a trickster of his own or he is also a lonely puppy. The way Ray convinces him so easily..We will see...

Boston: he is a mess. An absolut ass. He makes his plans and executes them with no mercy. In his favour obv. He tells Ray to confess to Mew, gets Top to fuck him (he never bottom?? Is that the reason he likes Top?? Was he his first? Omg??) and tells Nick he hates drama just that he stays in line?? Oh my god. So fucked up. What a performance of Neo! Shit he does have chemistry with everyone?? My god I love to hate Ton but Neo has my heart really. This is amazing.

Nick: oh my boy. The twitter thing was so good. He is so naive..but as I blogged earlier..Nick put that voice record thing in Tons car, he connected the dots with the friends really fast and now he sees the truth of Boston...I am excited for his revenge, that will bring mess to everyone (because he tells Sand??? Shit even better) and also will fuck up Ton so much (deserved) that he will have nobody left (wild guess..) I am so excited for Mark to play this u don't know how much..

Preview Ep 4: My god. How fucked up will it be?? Aaaah we are only in ep 4 next week (Books fav ep to look forward to)???? And it's such a mess. (I AM SO HERE FOR IT THAT IT MESSES WITH MY SANITY HAHA)

about shuying's past

shuying is not baizhu's biological daughter!

he adopted her when she was 4 years old – her biological parents were physically unfit to take care of her, she was passed to the support system of liyue and eventually adopted by baizhu :-)

her parents were curse-stricken. baizhu had been one of the doctors that they tried to get a cure from, but to no avail. their dying wish was to pass their little girl into the care of the man who had shown them so much care in their last few years of life :")

in my fanon oc universe, baizhu has a wife! her name is jingliu and she was one of the social workers assigned to shuying's case. in this au, social workers are allowed to foster more personal connections with the children ; so much so as to be able to adopt them eventually if they are cleared to be adoptive parents

he and jingliu legally adopted her when she was 4 years old! her biological parents passed on when she was about 3 and a 1/2 years old ... :(

she didn't use to remember much about her biological parents – baizhu made sure to keep her connection to them throughout her growing-up years, in fear of failing them. there was still some remnant guilt stirring within him; could he have done more to save her parents? could he have done something more so that the little girl – standing outside his bedroom doorframe – wailing because of a monster she never saw, would never cry again?

it took him years to believe that he was a suitable parental figure. with his fatigue, he didn't think that he could keep up with an energetic little girl... but to his surprise, she was much quieter and softer than he could have imagined someone at her age to be.

shuying's childhood was spent curled up on his lap, the two of them thumbing through a picture book that baizhu had received.

his hands were always cold, but there was a blossom of warmth every time shuying crawled onto his lap

growing up, shuying and baizhu were definitely much closer than she and jingliu were. shuying wasn't very aware of the impact that jingliu had on her life just yet – 5 year olds didn't really understand what the social worker had done

i think it was really when she was maybe 13? 14 years old? that she truly understood what role jingliu had played after her parents death and she did cry over it .. multiple times ..

to think that jingliu loved her so much that she wanted to adopt her was very. heartstring-tugging at the very least :'))

and all of this eventually made her realise that she wanted a career in social work too :') that she had so much access to resources that could help her help others too and that was such a lovely thing huhuhu.

she got closer to jingliu throughout her teen years actually! and now they're all close to one another :3

shuying considers herself as qiqi's older sister – hearing "jiejie" tumble clumsily out of qiqi's mouth always makes her smile

quick note about the connection between kailah and shuying: kailah was an intern in jingliu's office before transferring over to the youth sector. jingliu was kailah's mentor. while jingliu and kailah were out for dinner once, shuying ended up accidentally spying on them – and getting caught by jingliu, who introduced kailah and shuying to each other. they hit it off (kailah was 18 and shuying was 16) and since then became good friends :3 (this was not a very quick note)

but yes :3 eventually, happy family. hehe

Activity on my first listen: putting up a new fence

This is one of my favorite episodes!

Okay okay, everybody is like Tarantino here, Tarantul- aaaah Tarantino there. But what about Neil Lagorio!! I have been puzzled about this for so long... Because when I think of "the name in practical creature FX", I think of Stan Winston. But the stop motion doesn't add up. Here I would think of Phil Tippet or Ray Harryhausen. Not sure if Harryhausen isn't a bit too old, already starting his career in the 40s and 50s, while Stan Winston and Phil Tippet started their careers in the 70s - like Lagorio. Stan Winston also has the parallel of suffering from an illness and eventually succumbing to it. I mean it's totally possible that it's a mix of FX artists. But I would really love to know if there was an inspiration.

"But we are the true artists. A director may quite literally call the shots, but it is the cinematographer that makes them. We choose the angles, the lighting, pretty much everything that you see on the screen. The camera is a brush, and we are the hand, the arm, the eye. Hm, that transition into the tunnels was a bit quick for my liking..

Something distantly related. I was looking up something in the episode discussion posts on Reddit a while ago, initially looking for something in MAG 111. Somehow I also took a look at this episode. There were people discussing the possibility of Elias being Jonah! Like, HOW? How did they predict that at this point? I mean, Martin and Basira are talking about Elias' memory insertion ability and people in the Reddit post also talked about this and about him potentially being able to insert memories of an entire life - bodyhopping like this. There were also discussions of Elias possibly targeting Martin next, but yeah... There was also something about the statement - the Web being close to the Eye? It was a Web statement, but cameras are usually Eye.
