The White House on Monday blasted comments made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about COVID-19 as “vile” amid broader condemnation of the Democratic presidential candidate’s claim that the virus was manipulated to target white and Black people.

The firestorm began after The New York Post reported Kennedy Jr.’s comments, in which he said during an event last week that COVID-19 was “ethnically targeted” to attack those groups of people while avoiding Chinese people and Ashkenazi Jews.

“The claims made on that tape is false, it is vile, and they put our fellow Americans in danger,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at a briefing with reporters. “If you think about the racist and antisemitic conspiracy theories that come out of saying those types of things. It is an attack on our fellow citizens, our fellow Americans. And so it is important that we essentially speak out when we hear those claims made more broadly.”

Democratic officials and anti-discrimination leaders immediately challenged the veracity of Kennedy’s claims, which he sought to backtrack by saying in part he didn’t think the virus was “deliberately engineered.”

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a statement saying the environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine activist should be prevented from serving as an elected official.

Jaime Harrison, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, also called the comments “deeply troubling,” tweeting that “they do not represent the views of the Democratic Party.”

I just watched Scream for the first time today after hearing about it for years. It was really clever, had great scares and was genuinely funny. Matthew Lillard stole the show and if he really is the Purple Guy in the new FNAF movie, I think we're gonna be in for a treat. Skeet Ulrich was really damn creepy as Ghostface (Spoiler alert for the almost twenty year old movie), and Jaime Kennedy, Courtney Cox and David Arquette were freaking hilarious. And last but not least Neve Campbell was an amazing protagonist. Full props to them, the director, and all the camera, lighting, audio, costuming people who made this movie what it is.

It wasn't a complete lie. He only got three stations on this stretch of road, and, between WSLT's all-anarchist-punk-all-the-time and the talk radio hell that Bear Island's local news station had usually turned into by the time he was driving home, he'd gotten used to Lady Red's predilection for throwing guitar amps, yowling tom cats, and various percussive instruments down several flights of stairs. He could mostly even tolerate VLYRN DÖÖM and Nissa Nissa. Which reminded Jaime, yet again, that he really needed to save up for a new car radio. Preferably one he could plug his phone into so he could listen to his audiobooks or something. Because R'HLLÖR Appreciation Night? Happened far too often for his own personal taste. But it did keep him focused on the road, he had to admit.

Not that any of that had stopped Brienne from looking at him like he'd personally slapped her grandmother across the face with his cock when he had flailed at the radio dials. Great. Perfect. He must have hit her with the prosthetic in his desperation to avoid another argument. Wonderful. It was ugly enough to look at even when he wasn't accidentally maiming people with it. Fuck.

Oblivious to his despair, Lady Red queued up the one about the world ending. Something about fire and death. Which, to be fair, described most of R'HLLÖR's back catalogue, as far as Jaime could figure out between the growling and the guitarist apparently being electrocuted and screaming in Asshaian. But this might have been the one with the extended funerary cow bell? It didn't really matter. Brienne wouldn't look at him again and sat scowling off into the passenger side window, probably--

"Well, fuck!"

Of course there was a tree down. Of-fucking-course.

Jaime stopped the car and grabbed at the mouthpiece for dispatch.

"Gilly? Why the fuck is there a fucking tree here?"

"Sir?"

"10-53. Wolfswood. All four lanes. Somewhere near the east-bound exit."

"All four lanes?"

"Yes."

"...the storm's knocked over a weirwood?!"

"Yes."

"You need to get off the road, sir! It's suicide to be driving in that!"

The talk about age gap and power imbalance are very important, and Jake Gyllenhall should be called out for at best a problematic choice in partner and at worse an abusive relationship with a naive 20 years old, but make the conversation about the real systemic issue. Which is not happening here. What we have instead is a glorification of Taylor as a girl boss who put the bad guy in his place, raising he fans to get their pitchforks and harass him while protecting herself by being silent over what her fans are doing, encouraged by the way she has always portrait herself, specially when it came to her “enemies”, having Jake Gyllenhall being labeled as not only an abusive partner, but also a sexual predator… all of this while Taylor herself engaged in the same behavior.

Or are we all going to forget she dated Harry Styles when she was 23 and he was 18 years old? Or Connor Kennedy when she was 22/23 while he was 17? That she waited until he was 18 so they could come out publicly with their relationship, and even signed him off school while he was underage?

I mean, if we are going to call out Machine Gun Kelly for being a creep over Kendall Jenner for openly saying the things he said about her when she was underage, y’all can’t turn a blind eye for Taylor Swift dating a minor.

Specially in the Connor Kennedy situation, I dare say the problematic of that relationship is AS BAD as the Jake/Taylor situation. The difference in mentality and maturity from a 17 years old teenager to a 22/23 old person is huge, these are two worlds apart. Add to that the fact that he was coming from a traumatizing situation where his mother had died, from suicide nonetheless.

Im sorry, but Taylor Swift took advantage of Connor Kennedy the same way Jake Gyllenhall took advantage of her and the power imbalance in both relationships are fucked up, and they both deserved to be called out for their actions. But we don’t see that, do we? Because Taylor Swift can do no wrong and if she does, her blind fans will close their eyes and pretend they didn’t see.

How tall do you think book Jaime and book Brienne are?

Ok so I had this question sitting on my inbox for a few days cause I went deep into researching how tall book Jaime and Book Brienne are.

First let’s go with Germ and what he said about baby girl Bri Bri:

“Brienne is well over six feet tall, but not close to seven, no. Just off the top of my head, I would say Brienne is taller than Renly and Jaime and significantly heavier than either, but nowhere near the size of Gregor Clegane, who is the true giant in the series. Shorter than Hodor and the Greatjon, maybe a bit shorter than the Hound, maybe roughly the same height as Robert.”

So according to Germ, these are the important bits: she’s well over six feet tall, but not close to seven and roughly the same height as Robert.

If she’s not close to 7 feet tall, then I would say she isn’t anywhere between 6’7 feet and 6’9 feet. She’s also “well over 6 feet tall”, so nowhere between 6’1 feet tall and 6’3 feet tall. We know Renly Baratheon is 6’2 feet, and Robert varies between 6’5 and 6’6 feet tall, the later one being more often mentioned as his true height. She is taller than Renly, and she’s “roughly the same height as Robert” so I think we can settle Brienne as being 6’5 feet tall.

So Brienne = 6’5 feet tall.

Now Jam Lann. He’s said to be as tall as Renly, and some places I’ve read is said he’s taller than Renly, but we know he’s smaller than Brienne. In the books, it’s said Brienne would look down at Renly, so Jaime can’t be much bigger than that. So I would place Jaime as being at maximum 6’3 feet tall, and no shorter than 6’2 feet tall.

So Jaime = 6’3 feet tall.

Winter 2013 - The Beginning of the End and Dianna’s Private Tumblr

January 10, 2013 - People’s Choice Awards

Haylor is done, Harry is back in the UK, but Taylor shows up with a hickey anyway.  (Dianna is in LA at this time.)

Some time this month Taylor writes How You Get The Girl which is about obviously someone who comes back to get the girl.  She references “standing in the rain” and “a long six months.”  It’s hard to know if these details are more “fanfic” or actual autobiographical details.

This six months may actually refer to the end of bearding for a while (because it seems like Swiftgron did reunite in Paris in early October.)  Exactly six months after Taylor started dating Conor Kennedy would be January 25th, 2013.

As for the rain...

It rained twice in LA this month according to weather reports on the 21st and on the 23rd:

Dianna is in LA at this point and has started a private Tumblr blog under the name whosirmesir (we verified it was hers over on @swiftgron-get-married - and you can click here for more on that if you’re curious and actually I did an entire podcast episode walking people through it if you’re like like to listen to an in depth breakdown of it click here for apple OR click here for spotify OR click here for google.

On the private tumblr on January 25th Dianna reblogs this:

It reads “i think we’re just gonna have to be secretly in love with each other and leave it at that...”

This is also the time period it is rumored that Dianna proposed to Taylor.  I’m not sure what to make of these rumors.  I have not been able to get anywhere near confirming them.  It’s entirely unsubstantiated - but I explored the rumor further in this blog post (click for link.)  And also on the podcast (will link just a bit down in this post because it relates to something else we’re about to discuss.)

February 4, 2013 - Dianna recommends “Far Nearer” by Jaime on twitter:

February 9, 2013 - Neruda quote on Tumblr from Dianna

Dianna posts a quote to Tumblr.  The translation is, “I love you as certain dark things are loved, secretly, between the shadow and the soul.”

It’s worth noting that Taylor namechecked Neruda in the Red album booklet.

February 10, 2013 - The Grammys

And she performs her circus themed rendition of WANEGBT (where she mocks Harry Styles on stage making fun of his accent when she sings the “so he calls me up on the phone” part of the song even though this song was written before she was even with him.)

The only other time Dianna tweeted about the Grammys was when Glee was involved the year before.

The Glee Episode “I Do” airs and there is no Taylor song included.  However Dianna and Naya’s characters hook up:

After the episode airs Taylor deletes her tweet.

As always I’m not entirely sure what to make of this but to me it boils down to three possibilities:

1.  The fandom seems to think this proves that Dianna purposefully tricked Taylor into watching her “hook up” with Naya on screen.  It’s completely possible that that’s the case but I think the next two options make a bit more sense.

2.  It was a simple misunderstanding or a joke gone wrong.  Taylor had a song earlier on that season of glee (Mine sung as a breakup song by Naya) and I have been told another song of Taylor’s was marketed for another glee episode later that spring.  Perhaps someone got their wires crossed and misinformed Taylor.  

3.  Other nefarious parties:  

a.  It’s possible that Lea was behind this - she publicly had beef with Taylor at one point and she had been with Dianna that morning.  Maybe she met up with DIanna, heard about Swiftgron being happy and back together and got a little jealous and decided to prank Taylor.  

b.  Ryan Murphy also seemed to despise both Dianna and Taylor around this time.  He was also famous for stirring up drama with Gleeks on twitter and generally sewing discontent (particularly surrounding wlw ships and fans).  Ryan seems to have a problem with women/lesbians in general.  He treated Brittana as a couple horribly on Glee as well as their shippers.

He very publicly shaded Taylor in season one of Scream Queens and said in an interview that Dianna ruined Quinn for him because he said she made her sympathetic. 

Not only that but in season 3 he destroyed her character - he made her have a mental breakdown - he had her try and steal a baby - he had her get hit by a car - and a huge plotline in season 3 was Quinn begging Rachel (Lea’s character so Dianna’s irl ex) not to marry Finn (played by Cory - literally the guy Lea chose Dianna over - this is like...emotionally abusive if you ask me.)  After season 3 Dianna only appeared in 8 episodes of the remaining 55 after being in every episode and the top third billed of the cast in the first three seasons.

Furthermore in a show called The New Normal there was a bitchy actress character named Brynn who he wrote as high maintenance and unpleasant and then killed off.

So yeah...seems fair to at least consider that Ryan or Lea who publicly had problems with both Taylor and Dianna may have been trying to create problems for Swiftgron.  One last note about Lea - there was not a single Achele interaction for the entire year of 2013.  The most we got was Dianna liking a tweet about Lea’s album in December 2013 and when asked about one another in interviews they would vaguely say they were still friends.  No tweets to one another, no birthday messages, no candids, no hang outs.  Lea’s book was also written around this time and does not make a single mention of Dianna - her former roommate and “best friend” even though she spends plenty of time talking about others on the Glee cast.

While I’m not entirely sure Dianna had anything to do with this tweet Taylor references this date (2-14-13) by putting it on a dollar bill as a serial number in The Man music video:

At any rate Taylor deletes the tweet and replaces it with one about her dancers:

Dianna tweets 9 hearts that day (I don’t know if that’s significant but if they were together from March 2012 to July 2012 and then October 2012 to this point it would mean 9 months together...)

About the Red Tour - the last act of the tour seems to be circus themed which may have been inspired by Dianna’s 26th birthday the previous year and really interestingly Taylor has a white rabbit, which is a reference to Alice in Wonderland (Dianna’s favorite piece of media ever) follows Taylor around stage during the WANEGBT performance as she’s dressed up like a circus ringleader:

March 18, 2013 - Dianna goes on a Girls HBO rant (we know who also loved Girls the show and its creator Lena Dunham (Taylor))

End of March - Lena and Ashley show up at the Red Tour backstage

Conclusion - Swiftgron is on but completely underground.  Dianna is blogging and tweeting romantic things about missing girls, Taylor’s interests, and secret love, all while watching Taylor perform at the Grammys and encouraging others to tune in.  Something weird happened with the inside source at Glee tweet but who knows what.  Dianna seems a bit restless and emo while Taylor leaves to go on tour.

Because it’s described as a “high profile former member of the Squad”. So it’s someone who was well known as part of that circle - like it’s not likely to be one of the fitfluencers who hung with them like once - and got pushed out. Can’t be Kendall tbh, she did all her bitching on main. Can’t be Hailee, same thing. Can’t be Ellie, she lives in London too so that wouldn’t have been her issue. Could theoretically be Serayah but their drama was Kennedy Raye related so unlikely she went and bitched about Joe of all things. Could also be Jaime King but idk how in the “Squad”/clique she was - she wasn’t attending 4th of July parties etc.

Whoever it was also bitched about how that’s all you’re ever asked about in interviews.

And like Karlie has done a bunch of pieces for Grazia before.

Also Karlie cares a lot about socials and never tried to follow Joe until after she went to that Nash concert where she IMMEDIATELY did (Joe didn’t fb and she unfollowed eventually and then Josh unfollowed Tay too) which was like second half of 2018 and the bitching about Joe happened in March 2018.

Heres #2 & i consider this one special in honor of Jani Lane, 💔💕💌

The Band was formed in 1984 by drummer Max Asher who was still in high school. The Original lineup consisted of Lead vocalist, (at the time) Adam Shore, drummer Max Asher , guitarists Josh Lewis & Erik Turner and bassist Chris Vincent who was quickly replaced by Jerry Dixon . At the time the band did a hella alot of gigging around California. Opening for Hurricane , Ted Nugent , Stryper, Black n Blue and many others. But in Sept. '86, Shore and Asher quit to form Hot Wheelz . Which im going to have to check out later. But during this time they were working their asses off, trying to make it big like everyone else on the sunset strip.

Later that month Erik Turner was at a gig watching this band called Plain Jane who was a regular feature in the LA club scene . Erik ended up really digging the songwriting and vocals so he invited Jani Lane and drummer Steven Sweet for a jam session at Hollywood Db sound in Sept 1986. And that was it, Lane and Sweet along with guitarist Joey Allen, who replaced Lewis and Revamped up the band in 1987 (Hooorah) lolz As soon as Jani was recruited in the band he took on the role of being the songwriter for the band. Its so extraordinary to see and read about a bands transformation into stardom . Fucking amazing . Their peak of popularity was around 1988- 1996 with 5 albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. Their debut album, " Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinken Rich " went double platinum and so did the album " Cherry Pie " in the early 90s. " Dog Eat Dog " has a few good jams I'm not gonna lie. Jani Lanes voice is something I have to have a daily dose of 😂😂

Speaking of the 90s, as they were approaching becoming more of a mid 90s scene, Warrant knew they were going to be fucked as the sounds were changing as they sadly do. After their Dog Eat Dog Tour Jani had went on a solo career and the band got dropped by Columbia following the arrival of grunge and the death of their manager , Tom Hulett. in '93, Jani returned to the band and a toured for a short time in clubs in LA. Afterwards there was alot of change in lineup then in Sept '94 the band had gotten signed again byTom Lipsky of CMC Records in Sept '94.

Despite the bands drop in popularity, they released Ultraphobic in 1995 and a successful Greatest Hits album in '96, and they experienced a ton of highs and lows within that time. the 2000s led up to Jani leaving the band the band doing a reunion show with the new singer, Jaime St. James after that. ....

Then the horrid of all days happened and our beloved Jani Lane passed away from alcohol poisoning(supposedly) on Aug 11 2011. So they say, the office found his body in a comfort inn room with pills and alcohol also in the room . but i could only imagine what he was going through that led up to this if it was even an "accident". Let me know what you guys think about Jani Lanes death.

!Fun Fact! : Jani Lane really wanted to shoot himself in the head from writing their signature song "Cherry Pie" Although it was a Huge success, Jani Thought it overshadowed the rest of the bands work. It was a song the label wanted them to write and so he jotted that bitch down on a pizza box. He really didn't think the song fit their style and it didn't. Hella Cliche. btw, his real name was John Kennedy Oswald from Akron Ohio, named after JFK. Then changed it to John Patrick Oswald lolz

Patterns: You mean aside from the fact that several of these stories seem to take place at Christmas?  LOL. No, seriously, I’ve noticed that a lot of my first sentences tend to tell you right off the bat what the story’s going to be about, whether it’s Christmas, baseball, the difficulties of being a superhero, or soulmates.  I don’t tend to start stories with dialogue, from the looks of these twenty opening lines.  And in just about every story, you know who your POV character is right away.

Favorite opening line: Gaaah, that’s tough.  But I have to be honest--I think my favorite one is from “In the Eyes of the Law,” which I wrote two days after the SCOTUS ruling on marriage equality.  Someone requested a fic commemorating the occasion.  I still get a little teary-eyed when I reread Justice Kennedy’s final paragraph in the majority opinion, which was the inspiration for the direction I took with the story.
