🦋what are you most insecure about when you post a fic?
honestly, total disinterest?
I've gotten a lot of hate comments, a lot of ""constructive criticism"" from strangers, a lot of ppl who think they're cool and funny for being a bitch to me, and all that's fine, it doesn't bother me, it's mostly funny. but I'm still afraid of posting only to receive absolute radio silence. at least when people are being cunts, I know they've seen the fic. even if they've misread it, yk, they've still read the words
but nobody ever seeing something I've put so much time and effort and care into and finally decided to share w/ the world, yeah, that's a big insecurity of mine
oh also that I've not actually finished every sentence or the story as a whole lmao. the number of times I've posted smth and then immediately gotten paranoid that there's a bunch of half finished sentences and gobbledygook and brackets where I'd intended to come back and finish smth. hashtag adhd things
SEND ME AN EMOJI, SPECIFICALLY ONE FROM THIS LIST

troubleshooting your chastity lifestyle - part 1/2
i will often get messages from followers about problems that they are having in their chastity relationship. lets start the new year by trying to fix some of these problems. instead of responding to everyone individually ill be spending the next few posts answering some of the common problems people are having.
many keyholders have expressed frustration that they aren’t quite getting the submission and/or the loving attentive and affection husband that is promised by chastity. or they are getting it for a little while and then it goes away. i’ve noticed some common mistakes that people are making…
1, avoid the “lock it and leave it” mistake. chastity is NOT something that can be passive! keyholders must play an active part in the game being played. the surest way to fail to achieve all the benefits of chastity is to just lock your partner up and ignore him. in fact, this will likely have the opposite effect causing frustration (the bad kind) and resentment.
you should be doing something every single day that engages him with reguard to his chastity. this can be fun exciting things that take time and effort or this can be as simple as a comment about his cage, a joke or a tease about it, grabbing his cage in the kitchen, or demanding a picture of his cage when he is out of the house. for the love of god though, you need to do at something!
2, avoid what i’ve heard people describe as “traffic jam chastity”. this is when you don’t keep him locked, teased, and denied long enough. understand that in order to get to the sweet spot of chastity you need to have a minimum amount of lock up time (plus constant teasing). this will vary by each couple but it is certain that only having him locked for a few days at a time will result in failure. i suggest at least 4 weeks at a time. ideally more! it takes time for him to build up sexual tension and frustration and to convert that into constructive emotions and actions. if you’re unlocking him too often then you will never reach the promised land and every time you unlock him, you’ll have to start over.
some keyholders are worried about being “too strict” and keeping him locked for too long but you should remember that if you’re already in a chastity relationship then he wants to be locked up! unlocking him is likely the opposite of what he wants. still, if you are worried about how long you keep him looked and denied then play this fun game: chose a number of weeks that you think is reasonable to keep him locked for. maybe like 6 weeks to start. write it down. tell him that you’ve chosen a period of time for his next chastity sentence. tell him that he has to also choose a period of time and write it down but if he chooses a time period less than what you chose then you will double the your number! (ie if you chose 6 weeks and he chose 3 weeks then he will be locked for 12 weeks! oof…) but if he chooses more than what you’ve chosen, then that will be his new sentence (ie if you chose 6 weeks and he chose 7 weeks then he will be locked for 7 weeks). this is a fun game that also let’s you know exactly how long he thinks is appropriate.
3, As the keyholder, you must set clear rules and expectation. you have to make and enforce your will. do you want nightly back rubs? make it a rule. want him to clean the house? make it a rule. want him to give you and orgasm. demand one. i’ve been giving many examples of things you could do to keep chastity spicy. pick a few and do them on your terms. he is probably starved for this kind of attention and if youre not giving it then no wonder he is acting out! chastity is a give and take and the more effort and energy you put into it, the more benefits you will receive from it.
more FAQs and trouble shooting to come.

You are the only one
summary: a fic inspired by Ed Sheeran's "one". Reader moves away after a year of being with Jack but comes back to him - wonder how it goes :)
Tumblr media
You never believed in the saying "Right person, wrong time", you always thought it was a silly thing to say, if a person was the right one then you could make it work, right? Well, that was before you met Jack.
You met Jack when you moved to Atlanta for a year to work overseas. You worked as a stylist and the company you worked for got a one-year contract with a magazine where you got the title of an editorial stylist. That is how you came in contact with Jack, he was shooting for the magazine, and working with him on set was the funniest you've ever had at work. Upon seeing each other for the first time you immediately clicked and everyone could see the admiration in both your eyes.
You became inseparable. You did everything together, everything from partying to going on road trips talking about your dreams and aspirations. It took Jack a while to muster up the courage to tell you he liked you more than a friend, but when he did, oh how beautiful life became. It was the best year of your life, he was yours and you were his and everything was good, but everything good has to come to an end, right?
You still remembered the call from your company telling you that you couldn't continue for more than a year and that you needed to move back. The night you broke the news to Jack still replays in your head, you were lying on a blanket next to each other watching the beautiful night sky.
Flashback
"Do you have to leave" Jack muttered as you both stared at the stars in the night sky. You didn't answer him, which made him continue speaking "Can't you just stay here? With me?" his voice cracked, you didn't trust your voice, instead you turned your head to meet his eyes, the tears in your eyes told him what he needed to know. You scooted closer to him and put your head on his shoulder.
"There's nothing more I want, but you know I can't" you mustered out before taking a deep breath. You looked down at your tangled hands and pulled them up to plant a kiss on the back of Jack's hand.
He leaned closer to you and kissed your lips, before pulling you on top of him. His big hands cradled your face and you both stared at each other's watery eyes for a few seconds.
"I love you," you told him
"I love you too, more than you could ever imagine" he answered
"I'll come back to you" you whispered, as he pulled you into a gentle kiss, both your tears leaving a salty taste on your lips.
"Promise me you'll wait for me," he said after he pulled away from the kiss. "I promise" you sniffled, before leaning your forehead against his.
"You know, I'm so thankful you showed me what love is" Jack mumbled. You leaned in and kissed him hard, your lips saying everything you couldn't.
End of Flashback
You had one week with each other after that night, and you spent it attached at the hips. He came with you to the airport the day you left, where you said your teary goodbyes. You promised each other to call every night, but Jack's career kicking off, your busy work schedule and the time difference made it hard for both of you to keep that promise. There were occasional messages when one of you had achieved something but not more than that. But there wasn't a day that went by that you didn't think about him.
One Year Later
You looked down at your phone, before looking up again at the big building. Yup, this is it, you said to yourself before grabbing your big suitcase and walking towards the door to your new apartment.
"Welcome miss" the concierge greeted you as he opened the door for you. "Thank you sir" You smiled at him and dragged your suitcase behind you as you walked to the elevators. You arrived on the floor, took the keys from your bag, unlocked the door, and walked in. Your eyes widened in wonder, the pictures on the website did not do it justice. It had a high ceiling, an open floor plan, and big windows that gave it a luxurious feeling. Thankfully the lease included a fully furnished apartment so you didn't have to think about that. It was modern and elegant, with colors of white and beige decorating the apartment. You sank down on the couch and thanked god for the soft cushions.
"Back in Atlanta" You sighed with contentment and leaned back, closing your eyes for a moment. You had gotten the job offer of your dreams which took you back to the beautiful city of Atlanta.
You would lie if you said that Jack hadn't been on your mind. You were so proud of all he had achieved and missed him like crazy. You often wondered if he thought about you the same way you think about him. The memory of both of you lying down, watching the stars, and pouring all your feelings out often replayed in your mind. You grabbed your phone and immediately went on the Instagram app, searching for Jack, and started to write him a DM. After typing and deleting for 5 minutes, you finally decided what to write and typed it out. You stared at the message for a few minutes, debating if you should hit send. Like yes, you did tell him you will be back for him, but what if he had moved on? But what's the worse that could happen? you thought. After minutes of debating you finally hit send and threw your phone on the other end of the sofa.
Yourinsta: "I'm in town"
After a few minutes, you received a notification and jumped to grab your phone, to your dismay it was a message from your best friend asking if you'd arrived, you quickly wrote out an answer to her before going on Insta once more. You clicked into the DM you had sent and immediately felt your heart drop to your stomach when you saw the words on your phone screen, Read.
Well, at least he read it? that's a good thing? right? you tried to convince yourself. At least now you know what the worst thing that could happen was, not receiving a fucking answer. You threw your phone away once more and got up to shower.
You stepped into the beautiful big shower and let the warm water hit your body, you closed your eyes, and the only thing on your mind was Jack, why couldn't you stop thinking about him. You washed your body thoroughly before stepping out to go to sleep, the jetlag slowly hitting you.
You woke up only an hour later to the sound of your phone ringing, groaning you squinted to see who it was before answering. "You woke me up" you muttered to Alina, your best friend, on the other line.
"Well, you didn't answer my message, I thought you died" She replied nonchalantly, clearly eating something.
"I did?" you questioned and put her on speaker to check for yourself.
"no bro, you must've dreamt about it" she answered, making you roll your eyes.
"Oh, I did answer but I might have forgotten to hit send" you admitted, laughing slightly. The two of you talked for a while more before you told her you wanted to sleep more.
Before putting your phone away, you noticed you'd received a notification on Instagram, and even though you tried to push the feelings away, you couldn't help your heart from beating rapidly. You clicked on the message and it was as if your eyes stopped connecting to your brain. You couldn't comprehend what you just read.
Jackharlow: "Can we meet?"
Well, there goes that sleep, you thought and quickly sat up. He had sent it 40 minutes after he had read it, but at least he answered.
Yourinsta: Sure, let me know when and where, You typed out after a minute of just staring at the message he had sent. You received an answer only a few seconds later.
Jackharlow: Tonight? at 7, Our place.
Your place. The place where you would go to just hang out, relax, and talk about everything. It was the place where you said "I love you" for the first time and it was also the place where you told him you were moving back. It was Your place, and him mentioning it made your heart flutter.
yourinsta: That sounds good!
Now you were freaking out. The fluttering sensation in your stomach felt like thousands of butterflies flying around. You quickly looked at the time and noticed you had a few more hours. The nerves you felt wouldn't make it easy to fall asleep again, so you just got up to get ready.
You fixed your hair and sat down to do your makeup. You dragged your suitcase into your room, dug out a pair of beige cargos, and paired them with a simple tight white t-shirt.
Thankfully the place was within walking distance so you grabbed your headphones, put on your favorite playlist, and started walking. As soon as you arrived you saw him sitting on the bench, wearing black jeans with a grey zip-up hoodie. Your heart pounded with tension as you walked up to him. As soon as he heard your steps he turned around and his famous big grin got plastered on his face.
"Well look who we have here," he said and stood up to greet you properly in a big hug.
"Hi" you mirrored his big grin and snuggled into his hug. You took a deep breath, not wanting to let go. After a few seconds, you both pulled away and looked at each other. A wave of emotions that you haven't felt in a long time came over you. His eyes sparkled with a warmth that you had missed.
"You're back," He said as you both walked to the bench to sit down.
"I'm back," you sniffled a laugh, giving him a tight-lip smile. It was a little weird being here a year later. You still loved him but you had no idea how he felt about you after all this time.
"How long are you staying," He asked, smiling at you.
"Well as long as I can" you smiled "Im working for this company now, so no returning hopefully" At that he stared at you with his eyebrows raised.
"So no one-year contract bullshit this time?" he asked, which made you giggle
"no one-year contract bullshit" you answered with a big smile that he returned before turning his head to the view. There was a comfortable silence before Jack spoke up.
"I come here a lot you know," he said, looking straight ahead "Whenever I feel anxious and need to relax, it makes me calm" he continued, now turning his head to look at you.
"Yeah?" you asked, receiving nods with a gentle smile "My mind comes here when I need to do the same"
"I've missed you" He finally admitted after taking a deep breath
"I've missed you too" You both stared at each other's eyes now.
"I haven't stopped thinking about you," he said. He reached for you, put his finger under your chin, and pulled your face up to look him in the eyes.
"Can I kiss you?" he asked in a whisper while keeping eye contact, your eyes glistened as you answered him with a nod. You both leaned forward and his soft lips met yours in a tender kiss. The kiss told you everything you needed to know. It was filled with affection and so much love.
"Promise me you won't leave again" he whispered when you pulled away from the kiss, your foreheads resting against each other.
"I won't leave you" you whispered back "I love you" you finally said, not afraid to let him know all your feelings. He gave you another kiss, this time it was hard, filled with all of the passion and emotions you felt towards each other.
He pulled away and looked at you with his beautiful sparkling blue eyes, "I couldn't stop loving you" he said, "I can't love another woman the same way I love you. I only have eyes for you" He continued speaking with affection.
You reached for his hand and held it, you smiled as he spoke and looked down at your tangled hands
"You're the only one I can see myself with when I'm gray and old, you're the only one I can see myself having kids with, You're the only one Y/N," he said passionately "You were and will always be the only one".

hi, idk if you answered this before, but how did you manage to become self-employed by 24? also any career building tips in general?
Hi love! Well, I'm nearly 25 now (Leo baby here, lol) and have been self-employed since around 21/22 full-time. I would say the main factors at play are a combination of starting my career as early as possible (first real internship in the fashion industry at almost 16 and starting freelancing at around 19), earning a full scholarship to a top private university, and freelancing throughout college allowed me to have a lot of time and freedom to work on my skills, build my networks/portfolio, etc. (I'm not going to discount all of the privileges and resources I've had working in my favor, including the ability to begin my postgrad life with zero debts, that would be disingenuous, for certain).
In terms of career advice, I would say here are some of my most important tips:
Figure out where your skills and passions align. Then determine the lifestyle/work culture you thrive in and what sacrifices you're willing to make in your chosen career path (for some, it's always traveling/talking to people 24/7, working late hours, unpredictable/unconventional hours, potentially lower pay/less predictable income, etc.). It truly depends on your top values, your personality, and your goals/priorities in life.
First focus on getting incredibly talented at your craft. Find a mentor(s) who will push you with their feedback/suggestions. Take classes/skills courses/read books & articles to gain more applicable knowledge/hard skills. Join clubs, apply to internships, volunteer, and request informational interviews in your desired field.
Make your skills marketable. Create a professional resume and/or neat portfolio/collection of work samples. Discover and articulate your USP (that should essentially serve as the backbone of your elevator pitch). Frame your skills through a customer/business-centric lens. How does your experience/skillset solve their problems and help a company/client achieve their goals?
Build a network for yourself. Don't be shy to reach out to companies/individuals who inspire you. Speak with your secondary school teachers and professors for connections. Create peer-to-peer networks, too, so you can grow together. Be a fearless networker and connector. Help others, do favors, and make the person glad they met/hired you. Make it your objective to be memorable through your work ethic/providing high-quality work products and showing up with a motivated & overall positive attitude allows people to like and trust you with their time, clients, money, etc.
Master the art of a killer email/cold pitch. Especially in today's world, learning how to sell yourself through intriguing emails/LinkedIn messages is the key to unlocking potential success. One client or opportunity can create momentum that will be useful years down the line, too.
When in doubt, follow up – on an email, pitch, job opportunity, connection, etc.
Be ruthless and relentless with your research. For new contacts, connections, opportunities, and information to support your pitches/job interviews/networking conversations, new technologies, and trends within your field. Read everything credible you can get your hands on. Display working knowledge and practical applications of these concepts and how they can benefit the person in front of you/their business.
Create systems. For how you structure emails/pitches, conduct research, different types of workflows/ work template structures for different types of projects, time-blocking, client funnels, etc.
Get comfortable with rejection. Use it as a primer for self-reflection and refining your craft/processes or help you pivot your approach to help you achieve your goals. Never take business decisions on behalf of a company personally (and vice versa).
Give yourself breaks, but don't give up. Tapping out for good is the only surefire way to fail at an endeavor. Be flexible in your path, but zeroed in on your goal(s). Learn when to quit or pivot, and when it's time to coast or seek growth.
Hope this helps xx

I'm deeply sorry, but there is a small detail in the Witness's cutscene at the end of the WQ campaign that is driving me nuts and I really want to know your opinion:
Could it be that the Witness can break the forth wall?
I know it sounds like a Doki Doki Literature Club rip-off, but hear me out
I don't know how many people noticed this, but, after watching the cutscene a couple of times, I started to think that the choice of making the Witness speak, then turn around and face the camera to continue its monologue was very weird and almost out of place
I understand that the scene is structured so that it's clear that whatever message the Witness is sending to the Traveler is referred to us as well, but the choice of an "evil monologue" (in an empty room??) simple doesn't add up for a villain of its caliber, also considering that:
1 - they could have just shown its face in some other way that would have given the same effect
2 - it was clear it was talking/referring to the Traveler while speaking (in the scene you see a weird veil thing in front of the Witness showing it, so it's kinda obvious)
But the point is exactly that the Witness stopped talking to the Traveler and turned to speak with us: no other Destiny villain nor character ever did this once in the whole franchise, so why suddenly are we having a character facing the camera directly and make it explicit that it's talking to us as the Players?
I may just be seeing things because I really want someone else in the Destiny universe to break the fourth wall (aside from that Ahamkara piece of armor and the Emissary), but I can't unsee this now and I need answers - or a debate, both are good 0^0
It's very possible!
It wouldn't be the first time there was a 4th wall break in Destiny. Savathun in particular is known for doing it before. Truth to Power lore book is full of weird references and phrases, but one specific tab featured the following:
The letter reads "Achieve Light Level 999 and defeat Dûl Incaru in a one-person fireteam to unlock the true ending of the Dreaming City."
On top of this being 4th wall breaking by itself, it also spurned a lot of theories and people believed that following this instruction would break the curse on the Dreaming City. So one guy actually started working on it. It wasn't fully possible until they introduced artifacts in Shadowkeep.
Max power level at the time was about 930 if I remember correctly. It took an incomprehensible amount of time for him to level his artifact (during Season of Undying) to reach 999, which he did. He then went to solo Shattered Throne, as per instructions. He streamed it and had people helping him through the stream so he succeeded.
Nothing happened ofc, but devs wrote a congratulations post on the website! And it was graffiti'd by Savathun. So she directly interacted with us through the website, therefore escaping the game. This is the clearest 4th wall break we've ever had.
As you noted, the Nine are also known to be 4th wall breaking. Most notably apparent through Dares of Eternity which are directly treated like it's aware that we are players, but also the Nine tend to appear like they're speaking to us, the players.
Similarly phrased and acted out as the Witness cutscene, there's the Invitations of the Nine for the final, 9th, visit. There's a cutscene of the Emissary of the Nine talking to Drifter. He asks if there's anything else he can do for her (sarcastically, he's tired of the Nine's bullshit) and the next scene is just the Emissary looking directly at the screen, saying "Keep playing the game."
Tumblr media
It's very much on the nose with how it's framed.
And ofc, ahamkara do this as well. For those that don't know, most notably, in Claws of Ahamkara:
Yes, we are here. We are not the photons on your screen, or the voice in your head, or the words you read.
And Skull of Dire Ahamkara:
I came to find you, only you, because you're special. You're from somewhere real. And together we can burn our way back there. Can't we, o player mine?
So, is it possible the Witness did it too? Absolutely. Especially when compared with the Emissary scene:
Tumblr media
And ofc, both reference "the game" which can definitely be read as in-game universe thing, but also, considering all of this, could also be a reference to the fact that these entities know they're in a game.
Tumblr media
The Witness is also talking directly to the screen in Lightfall trailer as well. Calus doesn't, not that I can see at least. When Calus is shown face-first, he seems to be looking up and away, towards the Witness off screen:
Tumblr media
And the first time we see the Witness, it is looking back at Calus:
Tumblr media
But then for the rest of it, it's looking at us:
Tumblr media
So yeah, it's definitely possible! At least, it can double as a 4th wall break and it can be seen as the Witness talking to the Guardians as well as talking to the players directly. And it makes sense even! All of these examples of known 4th wall breaking were done by highly paracausal and unique entities, so it's more than likely that the being that embodies the Darkness would be able to do it as well.

c'est moi, indeed! at some point in the last uh ten years, I had a fit of pique where I thought I'd make a contained other blog for non fandom things*, free of the long history of this blog lmao. and by this point it's just a slightly different feeling of what goes where.
but yeah it's all me lol
* this is in the dark times of the fandom vs hipster (later aesthetic) bloggers

May I request a oneshot (or headcanons, both are cool) of 707 with a MC that from first downloaded the game immediately went for his route (or def at least tried) buying his unlimited call card and stuff and whenever he broke the fourth wall; MC didn't hide it that they knew he knew it was a game and fine with talling more about it.
Sorry for the long request :´>
You're the only one
Hello! No problem! Here you are! Please enjoy!
Tumblr media
,,Huh? Why can’t I play his route?’’ I asked my best friend, who also showed me this new Otome Game. ,,Mh? Oh, 707? He is so bizarre. I wonder what his route is. You need hourglasses to unlock his route, wait,’’ she mumbled and took my phone in her hands, typing something. I could see how she tapped on the picture with three characters, and suddenly the game seemed to begin. ,,Read this, at least the first time. You can also skip this but you should at least know how it begins,’’ she instructed me and so I did what she told me.
,,I would never be so naive to go into an apartment because of a phone,’’ I mumbled, making her chuckle. ,,At first, I thought that they made a game out of you. No matter which answer I wanted to choose, it was always something you would respond to. You would go to the place without even being asked,’’ she laughed, making me scoff. The first step seemed to be over and suddenly I found myself with a lot of messages.
She began to explain the game. ,,You need to flirt with them. If they like your answer, you will get a heart. Sometimes you will even get an hourglass and 100 hearts are 1 hourglass. The more hourglasses you have, the more you can unlock. For example, Seven’s route or some ,,not so important’’ phone calls. Uhm, yeah, the point is that you have to host a party so make sure that you respond to the emails,’’ she then finished. ,,Oh, so now I can play the red-haired man’s route?’’ I asked her. I wasn’t sure why I was so attracted to him. I didn’t know why, but I had the urge to play his route. ,,No, you can only play the routes of the three you saw, Zen, Yoosung, and Jaehee. Their route will begin on day five depending on how many hearts you achieved for each of them,’’ she said. Something I didn’t like was that there was no Love’o’meter, like, how was I supposed to see how many hearts I gained from each? But I knew that I would first play the red-haired man’s route.
I began to play the first four games, over and over again. I always began to play the first four days and managed to get a few hearts. I don’t know how long it took me, but I finally gathered enough hourglasses to unlock Seven’s route. Something about him felt…odd. I knew that his happy-go-lucky behavior was just…a mask. He was real, I could feel it. Whenever I felt bad and fears kept haunting me, a message popped up on my screen. For a short moment, I thought a person, perhaps my best friend, finally cared about my mental health, but when I saw that it was Seven, half of my heart was disappointed. The other half could feel my heart throb. It was as if he could feel that I felt bad.
I kept playing his route and I knew that his story was an emotional one. Something unexpected was behind it. One day, despite everyone holding me back, I began to pay for his calls. I needed him to stay alive. He was the reason why I could get up and also the reason why I could chuckle at night.
,,You’re not real,’’ he messaged me and I could write back that he was the one who wasn’t real. ,,I know,’’ the message came back. The next day I told my friend about it and when I went to show her the log, the messages were missing. ,,You need to sleep more, girl,’’ she laughed. But I knew that this wasn’t a game. I knew that something was odd, my heart was sure of it.

Continued from here.
Amidst the rush of too many guests entering the café today, Lian only noticed his phone vibrating, but didn't have time to check who had texted him. There were actually only a few people in question, but it was only during his well-deserved break that he saw who it had actually been. Lucio. Lian couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat when he read his name. Not out of shock, but rather out of excitement. Sitting on a bar stool in the back room while others smoked outside the door during their break, he unlocked his phone and read his message, which he answered immediately. [TXT]: Yes, unfortunately. But I'm off work in a few hours. Do you want to meet up? Lian assumed he wanted to, because what else could you want to achieve with a question like that? His heart was suddenly pounding in his throat. Lucio was such a pleasant person to talk to, he really liked spending time with him and having him around.
Lucio had time to get dressed and change the sheets, tossing the... ahem, dirty ones into the wash. For awhile he kept a close eye on his phone, but once it had been awhile, Lucio only assumed the other was busy.
Only when he was in the middle of smudging his eyeliner did he notice the notification on his phone lighting up.
"Hmm..." The noise he makes is soft as he swipes up on his phone. How unfortunate, a few hours? What was he supposed to do until then?
[TXT]: Boooooo! That's unfortunate.
The initial want of this morning had worn off, and by this evening? Well, at least there wouldn't be any problems there.
[TXT]: I was hoping to see you today, yeah. It's been awhile! That, and I was thinking about you this morning. Would you like to meet up later after work? [TXT]: I could come pick you up if you like.
Lucio didn't have plans today, but he was unsure as to what they could possibly do.

Mastering Email Marketing: Unlocking Its Potent Impact on Your Marketing Strategy
In the competitive realm of digital marketing, where various strategies vie for dominance, email marketing has carved a niche for itself. An old player in the game, it yet continues to be a formidable force in shaping the narrative of marketing strategies. Take Your Email Marketing Skills to the Next Level with Digital Marketing Training in Coimbatore. In this longer, comprehensive exploration, let's unlock the potent impact of email marketing on your marketing strategy.
Tumblr media
A Timeless Classic: The Relevance of Email Marketing
Businesses have used emails as a marketing tool since the 1970s. Forty years on, amidst flashier apparatus like social media marketing and influencer marketing, email persists with undeniable relevance. Why? The answer lies in its directness, convenience, and adaptability. Email marketing taps into a medium that is actively used by around 4 billion people, extending an individual space to achieve one-to-one communication with potential customers. It's the oldest digital friend that consumers trust.
Behind the Curtains: Understanding Email Marketing
Essentially, email marketing involves reaching out to customers and prospects through emails. However, it's grown over the years to include personalized communications, automated replies, follow-up emails, segmentation, and integration with other marketing channels. Today, successful email marketing is characterized by relevant, engaging content, thoughtfully timed and targeted towards a segmented audience.
Crafting the Perfect Mail: Nailing the Content
At the heart of efficient email marketing is well-crafted content that leaves a lasting impression. It starts with a compelling subject line, which determines whether the recipient opens the email. The body of the email, divided into easy-to-read sections or bullet points with concise language, graphics, and a clear call-to-action, can make a user sail from 'awareness' to 'purchase'.
Personalization: Creating One-to-One Connections
The key to unlocking the power of email marketing lies in personalization. Recognizing the recipient's name, purchase history, preferences, or location can turn generic promotional emails into personalized messages. These personalized emails show customers they're not just numbers in a database but valued individuals, which can significantly boost engagement and conversion rates.
Automation: The Power Booster
Thanks to technology, email marketing can now be automated. Business can schedule personalized emails triggered by the user's actions or specific timelines, saving time, reducing manual efforts, and maintaining consistency. Whether it is a series of welcome emails, shopping cart abandonment reminders, or wish-list prompts, automated emails add another dimension to the customer's buying journey.
Analytics: Measure to Improve
Last but by no means least, thoroughly analyzing email marketing campaigns' performance allows businesses to refine their strategy and continually improve. Open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, bounce rates — these are the crucial metrics that provide insights into the campaign's effectiveness. Businesses can use these metrics to continually test, tweak, and perfect their email marketing strategies. Ready to sharpen your expertise and stay at the forefront of the dynamic digital marketing landscape? Conclusion
Email marketing, when mastered, unlocks a potent aspect of your marketing strategy. It creates a realm of direct, one-to-one communication that few other strategies offer. From crafting enticing content and personalizing communication to automating processes and thoroughly analyzing campaign performance, each aspect reinforces the ability to reach customers and influence their purchasing decisions directly.
Despite being a veteran, email marketing adapts, grows, and continually proves itself to be an indispensable part of a marketing strategy. It's not just about sending emails; it’s about building relationships, establishing trust, and creating an ongoing dialogue that benefits both the business and the customer. So, embrace email marketing, and you’ll unlock a potent tool that significantly boosts the overall effectiveness of your marketing strategy.

Ah, crap, Logan, Janus, my message to Thomas was corrupted again. Someone's trying to convince him to stay, to isolate himself. He's not answering us anymore.
It is the middle of the night and exhaustion has set in fuercely due to the day's and night's events. The sides are currently in a much needed and deep deep sleep. You will have to find one that you can reach through the sleep. Perhaps through a dream, perhaps by other methods.
This may be a good time to test what power you have in this world.

Why are there even places called “refugee camps” in Gaza? And why are two thirds of the people living in Gaza, who were born there and lived there their entire lives, called “refugees” from a war that ended more than seven decades ago? The answers to these question unlock the core of the conflict. Here they are (Part 1; Part 2 in the first comment): 1.The 20th century has been marked by a transition from empires to states. We begin the 20th century when much of the world is divided between empires. We end it when much of the world is divided between states. When lucky, those states were based on the self determination of a people who share a common history, language, ethnicity, background religion and connection to a territory. (Zionism emerged in this context based on the idea of self determination for the Jewish people in the only territory to which they were ever connected as a people). When unlucky those new states were artificially created by receding empires drawing boundaries, forcing different peoples to share one state, leading almost always to civil war, dictatorship, or both. This transition has been bloody. It involved two world wars and numerous regional and civil wars. In the bloody process of empires receding and new states emerging to replace them, tens of millions of people were displaced, fleeing across newly created borders, typically to new countries with an ethnic makeup similar to their own. This was true of Hindus and Muslim, Ukrainians, Poles and Germans, Bulgarians, Greeks and Turks and Arabs and Jews. This was not unique. 2.What was unique is that one group only of refugees from that time and those wars were allowed to maintain themselves as endless refugees in anticipation of one day winning a war they had lost. Those were the Arab refugees from the war of 1948, later to be known as Palestinians. All other refugee groups, except the Palestinians, were presented with a clear message: “it’s tough, it’s tragic, move on”. There was a clear understanding that in the most fundamental sense there is no going back - not in place and not in time (thus, there was no such thing as “a right of return”). To seek to go back would mean endless war. And so the message was forward looking and future facing. Tens of millions of refugees and displaced persons, among them millions of Jews, would build new lives in the new countries to which they fled. 3.Except Palestinians. The war that the Arabs of the land and the surrounding countries waged to prevent a Jewish state from emerging and gaining independence failed to achieve its goals. Despite the violent onslaught of 1947-49, Israel emerged as a sovereign state. But the Arabs of the land, sustained by broader Arab support, refused to accept this outcome. They proceeded to undo it through a variety of means, including repeated wars, economic boycotts, international condemnations and a complete refusal of the refugees themselves to be settled, as it would effectively mean accepting that the war was over. 4.To that end of keeping the war of 1948 alive until its goal of undoing the Jewish state could be achieved, a temporary agency established to resettle the refugees - UNRWA (initially called REWA, but the Arabs insisted on the letters UN so that it would appear to enjoy international legitimacy) - was hijacked by the Arab refugees. As a result of this hijacking UNRWA effectively became a Palestinian entity devoted singularly to sustaining and stoking the idea that uniquely among the world’s refugees, Palestinians don’t need to move on and can keep insisting on “return”, both in space and in time, to a time when there was no Israel. UNRWA thus became the mechanism by which the Jewish people alone were denied the right to to consider their hard won self-determination and sovereign statehood as a done deal. (Part 2 continues in the first comment:)
5. One of the most important means by which UNRWA fulfilled its mission is inflating the number of Palestinians it registers as refugees. It does so by engaging in several unique practices, not applied to any other refugee population in the world: (1) Counting descendants of the original refugees displaced by the War of 1948 in perpetuity (by now into the fifth generation) automatically and with no qualifications; (2) Never removing any “refugees” from the count even if they acquired citizenship of another country, a status that for all other true refugees ends their refugee status; (3) Counting Palestinians who continue to live in the West Bank and Gaza, so in “Palestine” as refugees “from” Palestine. Once UNRWA’s inflationary practices are removed, almost none of the Palestinians who claim to be “refugees”, either as registered by UNRWA (around 5.7 Million) or self-claimed by Palestinians living in the West (a total of 8-9 Million) are actually refugees by any international standard. The vast majority of them are either (1) living in the West Bank and Gaza, and so clearly are not refugees “from” Palestine, still very much living there, and since almost all of them are by now second to fifth generation claimants they have also never been displaced by war - 2.2 Million; (2) Citizens of countries such as Jordan - 2.2 Million or various countries around the world - 2-3 Million. Citizens of countries are not refugees by any international standard. This leaves about 250,000 Palestinians who remain stateless in Syria and Lebanon, despite having been born there and never having been displaced by war. Those countries refuse to give them citizenship. They are certainly no longer refugees, but they are stateless. Of them, perhaps 30,000 are indeed refugees by international standards in that they were displaced by war, crossed the border and have not been given citizenship by any other country. Them, and only them, should be recognized as refugees. That is less than 1% of the total number of Palestinians who claim to be “refugees”.
6. In addition to its inflationary practices, the UNRWA compounds (“Refugee Camps”) and schools are the incubators in which the Palestinian national ethos of “revenge and return” was created and shaped. It is the ground zero Palestinian political organization in that it daily reinforces the Palestinian ethos that the Jews have no right to a state in any of the territory between the Jordan River and the Sea, and that Palestinians will one day undo Israel by means of “return”. Since the days of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, planned and perpetrated by UNRWA graduates, to the October 7th massacre by Hamas, also planned and perpetrated by UNRWA graduates (Muhammad Deif was raised in an UNRWA compound and studied in its school), UNRWA has sustained, nourished, educated and raised generation after generation of Palestinians dedicated to undoing Israel by “all means”, primarily violence and terror. Hamas, like Fatah before it, merely recruits UNRWA graduates ready to commit any atrocity in the name of “revenge and return”. It’s no coincidence that the two places where the perpetual refugee culture is strongest - Gaza and Lebanon - are also the most violent. In short, why are there still millions of people claiming to be refugees from a war that ended more than seven decades ago? Because to the Palestinians, that war has never ended, and they continue to believe that one day, with enough patience and violence, they could still win it to achieve their original goal: no state for the Jewish people anywhere from “The River to the Sea”. (The full history is of-course available in “The War of Return: How Western Indulgence of the Palestinian Dream has Obstructed the Path to Peace”).

as much as i don't understand how people can play as dusk falls and not sympathize with the holts, it's fascinating to observe those types of playthroughs because despite the hatred for them ... they still side with the holts ? before i unlocked the 'long arm of the law' path myself i was searching for a playthrough that touched on that outcome, and constantly came up empty even after two months had passed since the game's release date. i thought, oh well! everyone understood the message the game was trying to tell and could see that the holts held more sympathy for them than dante did! but then i found two playthroughs where this very much wasn't the case.
throughout the two playthroughs i watched, the letsplayers constantly belittled and provoked the holts. constantly blamed them for everything that was happening ( even going as far as to blame jay for not standing up to his own family ) and refused to see the humanity sprinkled throughout the interactions between the brothers, or throughout their interactions with vince. it was very much a 'fuck you, you did a crime!' mindset that i saw, which in and of itself is bizarre to me, and they never relented when it came to this point of view. they hated the holts, they saw no issue killing dale, and had no problem having vince say to dale's own mother that he deserved death ; all while making their intentions clear throughout. one of the letsplayers even repeatedly said they were trying to kill the holts, and the other playthrough had similar commentary. now obviously i think this sort of view is missing the entire point of the game -- but that's not what i'm here to talk about. it's the fact that despite these people wanting nothing except the worst for the holts, when they get the option to warn them about the pager or not? they warn them about the pager.
which is fascinating! because none of their prior behavior or in game choices would ever lead you to believe they'd side with the holts. even with dante acting as shady as he was, i was floored they didn't choose to side with him in the end. and it's not like these people thought that being nice to the holts was the good / better choice given their entire playthrough ... so what gives? i can't help but eye the achievement you get for that choice when it comes to finding that answer, the Better The Devil You Know achievement.
i genuinely think the reason people are so swayed towards siding with the holts, no matter how much they hate or fault them for the situation at hand, is because the holts are familiar. we've spent the entire game being stuck with the holts, spent some of the first chapter even playing as one of them ... had insight on their interactions between each other and how they function as people. how far they're willing to go or not. it's not like vince sits down and talks to them, especially not if the player is actively hurting them at every turn, but that doesn't negate the knowledge that builds up from simply existing around them. and even if none of the previous displays of goodness manage to convince the player to be nicer to the holts, i think it still sinks in. the fact tyler let's vince get away with so much even though he stresses there will be consequences, the fact dale hands over the pizza despite his aggressive refusal earlier and how little this benefits him, jay's vast compassion that you see every time he briefly interacts with zoe ...
but even then, even if you somehow don't see those scenes or digest them at all ( given these playthroughs, i don't think these people did ) it's just ... the holts are familiar. you know them better than you know dante, for better or for worse, and you know their motivations down to their plan that they had to make up on the fly because their last one failed. the achievement's title isn't just a super cool, super aesthetic title for no reason ; it's genuinely why the holts are chosen over dante more often than not. you know them, and even if you think that both sides are equally evil, you'd rather take your chances with the devil you know rather than the devil you don't.
