I have been having a lot of fun drawing these women. Been practicing a lot and trying to find my rhythm with drawing. It’s been a while since I drew fanart for supergirl so I’m excited. I have a lot of ideas and I plan to draw scenes from fanfics I’ve read and just really practicing anatomy and all that jazz.
I actually found out yesterday about Supercorp Big Bang and I’m so sad I missed it 😭 next year!
And maybe soon I’ll actually share and post old art I did for Supercorp Summer Collab and Sanvers Big Bang that I did in 2022. I don’t know why I never shared that on my socials but I will
Anywho, I’ve been drawing these ladies and actually have Maggie, Sam and Nia all finished up and I’m working on Kelly now! So nearly done with them all!

Obsidian North died for Lex Luthor's sins. Now I want our smart, splashy coverage to bury him six feet under.

Andrea did (almost) nothing wrong...
So, hot take from someone in the SG fandom, but Andrea did (almost) nothing wrong and I won't stand for the hate toward my sweet Argentinian bean from (way too many) fanfic authors who need a convenient evil ex for Lena.
I mean, yeah she stole the Acrata medallion from Lena, but her heart was in the right place, and she's the sort of wonderfully complex character who the CW's terrible decisions caused to be way less multidimensional than she should've/could've been.
And like, SC endgame and all, but also Andrea could've been a damn good romantic foil for Kara... Anyway, just a thought.

30.  Acrata becomes a hero and works with Supergirl (Supergirl Season 6)
Tumblr media
I did expect this to happen in Season 6 and was kind of taken aback when it didn’t. Andrea almost never used her powers anymore in the final season and only ever seemed to do it if she was cat burgaling for a story, which is not very heroic.
Given that we already were introduced to this side of the character in Season 5, it would have been a natural progession for her to hero up once Leviathan was beaten, but I guess it was more important to the writers to waste screentime on Lena Luthor becoming a Witch out of nowhere because normal people without any heroic destiny are offensive to the people, who wrote the Final Season of „Supergirl“. Between that most unnecessary arc in the history of unnecessary storyarcs and Kelly finalle becoming Guardian, they did just have no time for a simelar arc for Andrea, I guess. But it would have been preferable to the one she got and might have prevented William from being slaughtered on screen as well, so it would have been a double win. But not with this Writer’s Room, I guess.

The First Step
“You knew?”
Kara turns to Lena.
In that moment the room grows quiet. Kara feels all eyes turn towards her as she turns to Lena. For the barest instant, Kara sees a flicker of guilt in her friend’s eyes before Lena’s resolve hardens and one eyebrow lifts in warning.
“I advise you to choose your next words wisely, Supergirl.”
Learning Acrata’s identity comes as a shock, but the fact that Lena knew– has known– and had said nothing somehow hits harder. It hurts, carving a furrow in Kara’s chest not unlike a blast from the Claymore satellite. Lena knew– and Lena hadn’t told her.
Rationally, while Kara knows she has not a single leg to stand on, the sting of betrayal urges her to lash out. Caught in between, Kara can do nothing but scowl.
Judiciously, Alex steps in. “Look, why don’t we just take a moment to–”
“She’s attacked all of us,” Kara interjects, ignoring her sister’s bid for peace. “If you knew who she was, you should have told us!”
“Not only is it not any of your business,” Lena snaps back, “but Andrea is also my friend. What exactly did you expect?”
“I expect loyalty.”
Kara’s words ring in the silence that follows. Even her friends seem to freeze, either in shock or else waiting for Lena to fire the next shot.
But Lena only huffs, her brow lifting in disbelief. “Wow,” she says, her voice dry. “If blind obedience is what it takes to be in your little club, then I’m not your girl.”
With that, Lena turns to Andrea, who had watched the scene unfold without a word.
“We’re leaving,” Lena tells her, gathering her jacket. When Andrea extends her hand, Lena takes it without hesitation. But instead of heading for the elevator, they turn to the nearest darkened corner. As soon as they reach the first shadow they disappear in a whisp of darkness.
Biting back a growl, Kara turns back towards the center console, bracing herself against it with both hands. She doesn’t regard the others until Nia speaks up.
“Wow,” she drawls, echoing Lena’s earlier sentiment.
Kara pivots, crossing her arms over her chest. “What?” she demands. She glares at her sister, knowing Alex would be the first to address her.
“You expect loyalty?” Alex’s voice trails upward into a question.
“To the team,” Kara clarifies, though in the darkest corner of her heart she knows it isn’t true. In that moment, she hadn’t been thinking about the team at all.
Alex, being Alex, sees right through her.
“It didn’t sound like that’s what you meant.”
“Acrata has been a threat since the moment she teamed up with Rama-Khan!” Kara hisses. “And now we find out we’ve been reporting to her every day as employees–!”
“It’s not like she knows who we are,” Nia points out.
“Lex knew! About me at the very least. We have no reason to expect he wouldn’t have passed that information along to Leviathan, who then could have told Andrea.”
But Nia isn’t convinced. “I dunno… it doesn’t really sound like she and Leviathan were all that chummy. And even–” she continues before Kara can squeeze in a retort, “even if she knew, she’s had plenty of opportunity to use it against us, and she hasn’t/ Doesn’t that kind of say something about Andrea herself?”
“She hasn’t used it against us yet.”
Nia throws her hands up in frustration, losing patience. “Fine. Assume the worst all you want. Just leave me out of your own hypocrisy!”
“Hypocrisy.”
“We are all the gold standard of ‘not our secret to tell’! Which, I’ll remind you, we did for YOU.”
“I didn’t team up with Leviathan! I’m not a threat!”
“Lena didn’t know that! You’re trying to twist this into something different than what we did to her, and you know it. This is no different.”
Kara sets her sights on Brainy. Surely his logic would back her up. “And you?”
Brainy hesitates, steepling his fingers. “By the law of reciprocity, that which Lena has forgiven in us, we shall also forgive in her.” He offers Kara a sympathetic look. “As necessary as it was, we have all lied to keep your identity secret. We cannot think less of Lena for doing the same for her friend.”
Kara blinks, dismayed by his response. Finally, she turns back to her sister. “Alex?”
Her beseeching tone is met with a shrug. “It’s a step up from Reign,” she says plainly. “This time she told us herself. Voluntarily, I might add.” Before Kara can voice further protest, Alex continues. “Look, I get it. Being kept outside a secret can be rough. But maybe you should take a step back to examine why it hurts, before just blindly condemning Lena in one fell swoop.”
Scowling, Kara surveys all three of them. Where Alex’s tone is conciliatory, Nia’s stance screams resistance, practically spoiling for a fight. Only Brainy remains impassive, confident and sure in his judgment.
“Whatever.” Kara shakes her head, dismissing all of them. She stalks past them to the balcony and lifts off into the air, leaving them all behind.
She doesn’t know how many circuits of the city skyline she makes before she’s cool-headed enough to notice that Lena has returned to her apartment, alone. Kara sets down on her balcony before she even registers thinking about doing so. To her surprise she finds the sliding door unlocked.
When she stalks in, Lena barely looks up from making herself dinner.
“At least have the decency to yell at me as Kara Danvers. That holier-than-thou attitude is too much to take with that glyph on your chest.”
Kara nearly refuses, just to spite the glib remark volleyed her way. In the end she obliges, returning her glasses to their spot on her nose. There’s only enough room for one fight tonight. Only then, complete in jeans and a cardigan, does she speak.
“I thought we were past this.”
She means to gentle her tone, but the words that spill from her blaze with intensity, scalding the air between them. Lena barely reacts.
“Past what?”
“The secrets! The lies!” Kara begins to pace. “You said you forgave me–!”
Lena huffs audibly. “And there it is.”
Halting, Kara rounds on her. “There what is?”
“You think I kept Andrea’s secret as revenge for yours.”
The calm statement brings the world to a shuddering halt. It’s a long moment before Kara can even think to respond, but even when her mind catches up to her, all she can do is sputter.
“What– I’m not– that’s—”
Lena rests her hips against the counter between them, paring knife held loose between her fingers.
“Is it really so hard to believe that I would keep a secret for the good and safety of my friend?” she asks, her voice smooth as silk. “Or is it the fact that that friend isn’t you?”?
Green eyes rivet Kara to the spot. No words come. All she can do is stare as the truth pops the balloon of her anger and lets all the air out. It must be visible on her face, because Lena’s cool mask softens in realization. What had been a taunt is now real.
Setting the knife down, Lena dips her chin. “Kara…”
Kara swallows thickly. “I thought we were past this,” she says again, this time a whisper. Her vision wobbles as tears fill her eyes. “I really thought we were.”
“I’m not sure we ever really got into it in the first place.”
This time it’s Kara who ducks her head, staring at her shoes to hide her tears. She struggles to keep her breathing even, searching for the calm Lena exudes.
“Hey.”
Long fingers reach into Kara’s field of vision, taking her hand with a gentle squeeze.
“I meant what I said,” Lena murmurs. Kara looks up to meet her gaze. “I want to make amends. For everything.”
Kara nods, chin trembling. “Me too.”
“That’s the first step.”
Taking several steps towards the living room, Lena draws Kara by the hand deeper into the apartment.
“So let’s talk.”
