Belgium Grand Prix Doctor Turner didn’t know where to look. She had started off looking at you but once Charles started to speak her attention was turned and then Lando chimed in too. Her poor neck was straining with flitting back and forth between the three of you sitting across from her desk.
“I think it is the stress,” Lando said as he squeezed your hand.
“I think it is the medication,” Charles countered, a familiar argument brewing. “Things started to change after she started taking it.”
Dr Turner hummed as she made her notes and prompted him for more as he fell silent. “Changes such as?”
You zoned out of the conversation. The whole appointment was a result of the family meeting they had called and the information was nothing new to you. You were moody, you were tired, you were hungry. Charles had been the one to suggest it was the hormones from the contraception. He had even gone so far as to unfold the very, very large sheet of side effect information hidden in the box.
“-and her weight.”
“Thanks, Charles. Love you too,” you muttered.
“Not like that, chérie,” he said as he turned to face you, cupping your cheek gently. “You are beautiful and I love your body, but you are training a lot harder with Kristian to maintain your race weight and you didn’t have to do that before.”
That much was true. The team had even stopped putting sandbags in the car for testing since the car was no longer underweight. You had thought your fireproofs had shrunk in the wash when you pulled them on in Hungary last weekend and the sleeves had cut into your wrists. There’s skintight and then there’s skintight.
”Those were all possibilities we discussed at the time,” Dr Turner said with a nod. “They are quite common with hormonal contraceptives so you likely wouldn’t find any change with the alternative options like the injection or the rods.”
“See, told you this was pointless. I just have to deal with it.”
“Or you could stop taking them,” Lando suggested.
“Given the choice…you want to go back to condoms?”
“As much as we enjoy the benefits, it’s not worth it if this is the cost,” Charles answered for the both of them. “Just stop taking the pills for a while and see how you feel.”
You sighed with defeat but you accepted the plan with a nod. “At least I’m stressed enough that there’ll still be no periods. Yay for me.”
Lando snorted a laugh at your sarcasm but Charles didn’t find the humour as he shook his head and thanked Dr Turner for fitting us into her busy schedule. It wasn’t as busy as yours since you needed to get to Côte d'Azur Airport to catch a ride with Max to Belgium, you and half the grid apparently.
“Well that was a waste of time, and now we need to go shopping for condoms,” you muttered as you left her office and got in your car. “Do you think Costco sells them in bulk boxes?”
“I am not buying cheap Kirkland branded condoms,” Lando said with a cringe. “Fuck that.”
“You also said you would never do dry July but here we are,” you pointed out.
“Except for that one night after Silverstone,” Charles added as he started the car.
“Doesn’t matter, I’m not risking anything less than Durex. I’d rather trust myself to pull out.”
You looked at Charles in the rearview mirror before you both broke out in a fit of laughter as you shook your heads at the idea.
Lando was offended.
“Hey,” he called as he turned in his seat to look at you. “I could pull out if I wanted to.”
“You’re lucky you’re handsome, because you can’t lie to save your life.”
“We both know how it is when you hit that sweet spot, mon cher,” Charles said as he reached across the gearbox and rested his hand on Lando’s thigh. “It’s too good to resist staying buried in her.”
“I said I could if I wanted to, not that I would or want to.”
Tumblr media
By the time you arrived at the airport, and hustled your way through security, you found Max, Daniel and Pierre already seated on the plane and pointed to other empty seats. “Are you expecting the rest of the grid or what?”
“At the rate you're collecting them, maybe,” Max joked.
You laughed and dropped into the seat opposite your brother, kicking your feet up on his armrest. “You can’t say shit like that in front of Pierre, he gets far too excited. He might even wet your carpet.”
Pierre looked up from his phone and you could tell from the smile on his face that he had been busy texting Kika before he realised what you had said and his lips pouted. “You make me sound like a puppy.”
“Nawww, I wish you had that level of obedience, Gasly.” Your feet were roughly shoved off the seat and you narrowed your eyes at the culprit as the plane began to taxi to the runway.
“Safety first, zusje, haven’t you read the pamphlet?”
“Why would I do that?” you scoffed as you buckled the belt in. Charles was doing the same where he sat across from Pierre and Lando was next to Daniel. “If something happens at 36,000 feet, bracing isn’t going to save me. Now, are there any stroopwafels on board this thing or do I have to wait another two hours? I'm starving.”
Tumblr media
“The last two races have seen a big drop in performance for both you and Lance, and only a few points added to the tally, and now - failing to finish the sprint with that crash. Is this something the team is looking into?”
You wanted to ask if the Sky Sports reporter had a brain cell but took a steadying breath instead and nodded. “Mhmm.”
“So what is Aston Martin doing to get back up where you were competing earlier in the season and what are your hopes for the race tomorrow starting 9th on the grid?”
“We are doing what is always done: look at the data, continue the upgrades, and keep pushing. Same goes for the race, I’ll try my hardest to make up some places and avoid the gravel. I’m usually good at getting off the start line, the car is great for short acceleration so if I see a gap I’ll be going for it. Plus, you know how turn one goes - that might make my job easier if the boys up ahead get greedy.”
“Speaking of boys, this time last year you were heading into the summer break looking for love. What’s the plan this year?”
“I don’t know, maybe I’ll take Max’s advice and adopt a couple of cats this time.” You laughed as Lando and Charles turned to you from their spots in the media pen. “Is that a yes…no…maybe? Oh, that’s their ‘we will talk about this later’ face. I’m going to go now before I get into trouble.”
The smile you had been holding onto fell away as you stepped into the Aston Martin hospitality building and you grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge before you navigated your way to your room. You almost made it there with no interactions, until your fellow driver caught up and clipped your shoulder as he passed by to his room.
Still annoyed at the reporter, you dropped your hand from the doorknob and turned to him. “What’s your problem?”
“You almost had points and you threw them away. That’s what.”
“I spun out, Lance,” you sighed, already exhausted with where the conversation was heading. “It’s wet and it’s Spa, it's easy to have an accident. It’s not like I saw you up there earning any of them.”
“It’s not my seat that’s on the line though,” he stated.
“Is that a threat?”
“No, it’s just the truth.” His lips curved into the pretentious smile you hadn’t noticed when you joined the team, but it had become irksome to see grow over time. “My seat is secure.”
“If that were true you wouldn’t be wasting your time hassling me over whatever issue you’ve made up in your head.” You enjoyed watching that smile fade.
“I don’t have an issue with you.”
“Then you feel threatened by me,” you said with a casual shrug. “It’s basic biology, animals attack when they feel in danger.”
“You should do something about that big ego of yours.”
“It’s big like my dick,” you said as you turned the door handle and shoved it open, “so choke on it.”
“Bitch.”
You gasped theatrically as you paused in the doorway. “Lance Strulovitch, do you kiss your mother with that mouth?”
“Did I offend you?”
Your laugh started as a tickle in your throat before your lips peeled back and bared your teeth at him. “Sticks and stones, baby, I kind of like it.”
Realising he wasn't going to get the reaction he wanted from you, he shook his head and stepped away. “You’re all kinds of messed up.”
“Thanks for the assessment, Freud.” You slammed the door shut before he could give a response and screamed as you threw your bottle at the body that suddenly appeared. “Jesus, fuck.”
“Nope, just me,” Max chuckled as he rose from the chair that had been hidden by the door. “Nice to see you get along with your team mate too.”
“Oh that, that was just a friendly sparring match. Nothing to worry about.”
“I did warn you, zusje.”
“Yeah, yeah, you love to say I told you so,” you drawled as you grabbed your drink bottle from the floor and cracked it open. “Anyway, what are you doing, hiding in here acting like the godfather?”
“Our mothers have been conspiring again,” he said with a fond smile. “Family dinner tomorrow night after the race.”
“Won’t you have a winner’s after party planned?”
“I don’t think my liver could handle another one so soon.”
“Serves you right,” you snickered as he opened the door. “Wait, can Pascale, Adam and Cisca come too?”
“I said family dinner, didn’t I? They’re pretty much your in-laws.” He pointed to your table and you followed his finger to see a box overflowing with stroopwafels. “Is that enough or should I get some more for the flight home?”
You grinned as you grabbed one and tore through the packaging, talking with a mouthful. “I thought I was walking?”
“With those manners, you should be.” He started to close the door but changed his mind and stepped back in to pull you into a hug. “I’m glad you didn’t hit the barriers, zusje. Drive safe tomorrow.”
You nodded against his shoulder as you hugged him back.
It was only two days earlier that you ran the track with Pierre in memory of his friend, Anthione, and only five weeks before that another driver had lost his life on the track too. You hadn’t been thinking about that when you spun out, it wasn’t like it was anything close to what Lando did two years ago.
But your brother would always worry about you.
“You too, Maxy.”
Tumblr media
Fifth was the best you could do in the end but for once you weren’t weighed down by the result.
You sat beside Max, sipping from a glass of lemonade that should have been a gin and tonic, and smiled at the story he animatedly recalled from the race. On your other side was Charles, his dimples deepening as Max praised him for the perfect overtake he had made on Lewis to clench third place. Beside him, Lando was grinning proudly and draped his arm over Charles’ shoulder, his fingertips teasing your collarbone.
Your parents lined the other side of the table and you scanned their faces while they were engrossed with the story, not as accustomed to Maxsplaining as you and the other drivers were. No one would have ever thought that the parents of a Red Bull, a McLaren, a Ferrari and an Aston Martin driver would all come together and support them all equally. But there they were. One big happy family.

can i quickly ask for some background history on the session guitar.. im new here omg :$$
of course! i think i have a masterpost about her buried somewhere in my drafts but for now: she was ray's first ever guitar. she's actually a gession brand, a cheap knock-off les paul replica which haven't been made since the 80s on account of the factory they were mass-produced in burning down. ray got her for christmas from his older brother in his sophomore year. im assuming ray misread the logo as session all the way back then, because he's never called her anything else, even though she was listed as a gession in this official guitar magazine in like 2011 lol. as you can see three of her tone/volume knobs, her rhthym/treble swtich, and one of her pickups are all straight-up missing lol. i love her to death.
Tumblr media
this is gerard (?) talking about her on the mcr website's faq page in 2002. he refused to play anything else 🥹 you can see her in the in the studio 2002 video also.
Tumblr media
you can see her in the in the studio 2002 video, and at all of their early shows. here she is in october 2002:
Tumblr media
somewhere between that photo and this one, in january 2004, a few things happened and im not sure exactly when/in what order.
Tumblr media
so first of all, now she has a yellow smiley face sticker on her :) it says walmart. sjdkgjgj <3333. but ALSO, sometime before october 2003, he dropped her off stage and she broke, like, almost in half :(. frank had gone through like 3-5 guitars at this stage lmaoo. anyway, ray started borrowing a gibson sg of mikey's and was like "oh this is actually much lighter lol" and from then on started branching out and playing other guitars lol, but he's still consistently preferred lp types his whole career!
anyway, she ended up getting fixed (iirc by matt cortez?? but i can't remember where i read that so i could be wrong). and she was back in business to record and tour revenge. here gerard is holding her in the studio <3, and again on the road in 04:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
after that, she kind of dropped off the touring rotation for a while. she does feature on the studio version of the black parade though, and he started playing her regularly again after the black parade world tour when they were writing conventional weapons. here she is in late 2008 covered in blood when they were recording the desolation row cover:
Tumblr media
and then at some stage he got her fully worked over and she was kind of his main guitar of choice all through the danger days world tour!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this interview is probably the best individual source for when he's talked extensively abt her, saying she's his first and favourite guitar, telling the story abt his big brother giving her to him, and confirming that she's featured on every single my chem album ever :')
and then tonight in brooklyn is the first time i've actually seen her (that i've noticed) since the breakup 🥹. yes she still has the walmart smiley sticker.

I noticed that you have made it clear that you are not one for the first Sonic the Hedgehog film. And I must make it clear that I respect your opinion on it; it is not for everyone, even all Sonic fans.
However, I get a feeling that you are antipathetic to the future installment(s)- you mentioned some time ago you have not seen the second film. But even if you were underwhelmed by the first film, do you believe that they cannot improve?
in the wake of the trailers of the Super Mario Bros movie, I have seen things like "I used to like the Sonic movies, but since the *trailers!* of the Mario movie came out, the Sonic movies suck now!". Do you believe that is really a "correct" way of thinking? Like, regardless of what one thinks of the movies, should people just dismiss all the hard work that people like Fowler and Tyson Hesse put into the films just because they aren't animated like the Mario movie? Or that they don't use much of the game music, like the Mario movie? is this truly shaping up to be a "1:1 or nothing" thing, leaving no room for deviation?
I ask this because I feel that rational StH fans are as rare as hens teeth, especially these days; consider yourself a hens tooth
Tumblr media
The biggest issue I have with these movies is the foundation it laid for itself.
Cue TL;DR rant mode
Let's be absolutely frank and honest with ourselves. The first movie was only saved purely because the controversy of Sonic's design led to him being revamped entirely and Eggman's portrayal was solid. That's really it. I'm not against human characters showing up at all, on the contrary. But this set up is "Take the most superficially basic concept of Sonic then make a bunch of convoluted revisions to the lore of the original series to justify isekai-ing him into San Francisco so we can save money on animated scenes". Like, it's the same problem most children's media being adapted into "live action" suffers from. It's a cheap, lazy adaptation that broke absolutely zero ground and I've held this opinion of it literally since the day it was first revealed and announced with those leaked posters of Chris Pratt and Sonic's initial design.
And just because it didn't end up being as "bad" as it first looked and they brought on actual, talented fans of the series onto the creative team, doesn't suddenly detract from this most basic, fundamental problem. Sonic's movies suffer from what happens when you let Hollywood just go to town on your IP and barely give it proper boundaries to stay in.
Even if they manage to get SOME things right like, Knuckles actually being cool again and the Giant Robot fight at the end of the second film, the reality is they'll still be tied down by the flimsy foundation they started on, like dragging on a wedding scene or putting waaaay more focus and attention on the human characters than the.....main characters we came to watch???
Now compare that with the Mario movie. From the start, Nintendo I understand had a MUCH bigger involvement on the production. It's not like the lame adaptation I mentioned above. They went full on "Angry Birds" level of staying on brand. The entire world feels like the natural, fleshed out idea of "How do we make this feel as warm, inviting, and fantastical as the games but still make it work as a movie?" It's actually BRILLIANT just from first impressions.
I'm sure it's going to suffer from other typical kids movie problems like "Peach's a STRONG WOMAN NOW because she wears PANTS and DON'T NEED NO RESCUER", dumb movie writing or Mario, Luigi and Peach's flat voice acting. But you cannot look at that movie, how it just unabashedly looks, feels and is completely imprinted in Mario and say that Sonic had anywhere NEAR the same level of enthusiastic production on it. I mean, even the cute commercial of their plumbing business in New York is entirely animated and ALSO feels like it fits. They went to the absolute nines with making this feel like a WAY better adaptation in spirit, story and visuals.
Of course I appreciate the hard work the team put into saving the Sonic films from becoming absolute jokes but WHY did it even have to be so compromised in the first place when Mario shows up looking EXACTLY like how I've dreamed Sonic's movies would've been treated?
I'm not wooed over by the small glimpses of Sonic's world or the tiny references they managed to squeeze in there. I'd appreciate those way more if it were ACTUALLY set in it. And I cannot stand this prevailing narrative that "Sonic's world is separate from Earth" in most of these adaptations because it's not! It IS Earth! He's always lived in the same planet as humans, their animal kind is just reclusive and live on islands. That's the actual lore of the games!
This movie made the mistake of doing what Sonic X did. They think it'd be "too weird" for someone like Sonic to have been from Earth as if the intense popularity of it in the first place isn't enough to show how wrong that is? No kid questioned Sonic showing up in City Escape around humans any more than dinosaurs or other crazy entities existing in Dragonball's version of Earth. It's still Earth, just fantastical.
Mario works with that because him iseaki-ing into Mushroom Kingdom is that original lore of the games too I believe. But in Sonic's case it's not and it's so JARRING because they think Sonic himself can't carry a story as the main character. No, kids need a human or avatar to help them navigate the weird, unexplained parts of the series. I'd rather they'd just do that with Sonic himself without needing to be forcibly tied to a regular human. (I'm so annoyed that he couldn't have just run to San Francisco if he wanted because he "needed directions". What a pitiful excuse. And these movies are FULL of them like that.)
Hollywood is a joke and they cannot for the life of them, understand how to effectively adapt most Japanese properties by themselves. Especially anything even remotely inspired by anime like Sonic.
I know this might make me look like "the most offended Sonic fan in the world" right now but in all honesty, I don't really think about those movies much. They function as effective promotional materials for the games and kids like them so whatever. Like, it's just one big Shrug really.
*sigh*

I'm watching a show where someone offhandedly mentioned they're a nightclub bartender
"That's the way you do it, you make $1000 in two days and you have the rest of the week [to pursue her dream job]."
So now I'm just thinking about
obviously when Desmond first started at Bad Weather he wasn't on the best nights. He was new and didn't know what he was doing. He got the shit shifts, the slow days. He didn't mind. It gave him time to figure it all out--the job, yeah, but also what the attitude of the place was, what people expected from a bartender, a coworker, an employee. He doesn't have a lifetime of norms, he has to figure it out every new place he ends up.
And he does. He figures out what people want, what they expect, and gives it to them. He knows how to read people, how to avoid drawing negative attention.
It helps that he's not bad to look at, too.
So he gets moved to the good shifts, to the busy nights with thumping music and drunk party girls asking if he has a place nearby. And he's in New York, and New York is *expensive*, but also--
"You want another shift?" The manager looks him up and down, a twist to his lips, and Desmond knows he's done something wrong. "If you've got 'em," he says, an easy smile, a careless shrug. "I'm trying to scrape together enough for deposit, get a place that's not halfway to New Jersey, y'know?"
It passes scrutiny, and buys him the time to figure out another set of expectations: people don't like working.
That should've been obvious, maybe. People were always complaining, saying how they didn't want to be there or wanted to go home. Desmond just....hadn't figured that was really an option. Not being an Assassin had never been, until he ran away. And then it was such a struggle to get a job, to feed himself and find somewhere to stay, that he just hadn't thought about it.
But apparently, people don't spend all their time working. He could. He could ask for as many shifts as they'll give him, but that'll get him negative attention and distance from his coworkers. So he gets himself some savings and then he....doesn't work as much. Enough that his manager likes him. Full shifts Friday and Saturday, a half shift Sunday, and there early on Tuesdays for delivery. That only takes a couple hours but he gets paid a half shift for it since no one wants to be there mornings.
And then he has the rest of the week to himself. No training, no evaluations, no missions--and no working. What's he supposed to do with all that time?
Maybe he should learn to play guitar.
Yeeessss. This is so good.
Maybe he tries to learn to play the guitar. Go to a pawnshop or a second-hand store, buy a cheap guitar, and try to learn using second-hand books that teach guitar and music in general.
From there, he starts trying out new things, just trying to find some kind of hobby or something that would keep him busy. The guitar was nice and it was relaxing but it sometimes gets boring so he branches out.
Tries different instruments.
Even bought a cheap mp3 player to play the cheap absolutely not legal CDs he buys from a dude that sells CDs and DVDs of varying ‘quality’.
He could buy brand new items, of course. It’s not like he was spending all the money he gets from his job anyway but he knew that saving up was the normal thing to do. That splurging should only be reserved for what he’s passionate about.
And that’s what he’s trying to find.
Something to be passionate about.
Something… anything… that would not bore him at all.
That would make him feel ‘normal’.
Music, books, movies…
They were nice. They can be relaxing.
But, sometimes, Desmond just gets so bored.
So he tries other things.
Taking walks which turn into people-watching whenever he knows he should take a rest.
He uses what he sees as basis on what he should try out next.
Jogging.
Knitting.
Cooking.
Staring mindlessly at a blank document in front of his secondhand laptop that he mainly used to watch those cheap DVDs (and it took an hour and a waitress asking “Writer’s block?” for Desmond to get what he was trying out, then a few minutes of spent being embarrassed at staring at nothing)
Hell, he tried writing a diary but that just made him remember his father’s warnings. To be a ghost, to leave no trace. He ripped and burned the pages he had already written and threw away the diary the next day.
When he told Lucy that motorcycles were a guilty pleasure of his, he wasn’t exactly lying.
His guilty pleasure had been trying out new things.
Trying to find something that he thinks he would like to keep doing again and again.
Motorcycle driving was simply the next thing on his list.
In the end…
He never did find it…
Something to be passionate about.

I'm going to talk about one of my favorite OC's.
Which is technically connected to warehouse AU.
In warehouse AU (which I might start calling star foolery.) The Pizza flex burns down like any other after fire story. The difference is that the animatronics are able to be retrieved and rebuilt. The only problem is that due to what happened in the Pizza Plex. And also because Gregory made out alive and started telling people. Fasco kind of ran out of money. They needed a cheap start.
Which is where the name Warehouse AU comes in. Y/N in this story is just a contractor. Basically through family connections they have this giant collection of warehouses under there ownership. They didn't keep up with the family business, and so the warehouses eventually emptied out. Leaving them with a bunch of warehouses, And no real money. So they start renting out these warehouses. As long as you could pay the price you could have the warehouse for a certain number of days. A small business could build in them, sometimes it was for one night rave, other times movie producers would rent them out for a couple days. If a business built in a warehouse. And they basically had to pay rent. And that is what kept Y/N a float.
I'm going to refer to Y/N as Reina. As that was the temporary name I gave this Y/N when I first made the story.
But Fazbear's sees these warehouses and decides to buy them out. Or at least buy out one of them. Now this isn't your small shack warehouse. These are big. So they decide to basically make a mini Pizza Plex. Of course they try and sneak around the bush and get around Reyna's basic rent. So they decide to play another deal. Reina, Will be paid like any other employee. They get full jurisdiction over the robots and all the happenings and pizzaplex. Including any money gained through vending machines and other things. If they don't have to pay rent. Reina agrees. Taking it as sort of having a business of her own. Which starts the whole AU.
Now Raina already had a security system. It was a small drone with a basic AI intelligence. I'm not for it to make its own decisions, but not enough for free will or sentience. A version of this AI patrols around each of their warehouses. The one around the particular warehouse that fazbear bought out, has one of these AI that has grown to love a passerby that plays the hurdy gurdy. This little bit of information will make more sense later.
So the wonderful start of the AU happens. Fazbear builds a mini pizza place inside of a warehouse. The first animatronic they send is Glam Rock Freddy and Gregory. Which they force Raina to basically adopt due to wanting to stop him from spreading slander on their name. Luckily Glam Rock Freddy mostly takes over child care. Raina is basically just buying for his basic needs.
Next they send in models from other pizza plexes. Or well, models over either discontinued or have been in a state of disrepair until the pizzaplex saw it fit. They send in Glam Rock foxy and Glam Rock Bonnie. Bunny comes with a little bit of trauma of being basically dismantled. While foxy is a brand new animatronic who doesn't know anything other than his basic programming.
They then send in music man. As music man was able to protect most of his hardware. Music Man unfortunately doesn't have as much room and movement as he once did. Only able to move in between his parts and service, a smaller arcade area, and the stage. Otherwise he is alright, and is playing basically what he did before.
Then we get to the part that this whole AU was based around. Sun and Moon get sent in. Sun and Moon being the only ones left that actually had the virus. Which unfortunately becomes Reina's problem. Otherwise sun and moon remain the same. Having daycare protocols and some leftover theater protocols.
Now everybody arrives with their own a bit of surprise. Since Reina decided to own basically what the animatronics did, They were the ones that turned them on. What's results in them having most of the jump scares. Freddy came in online. Foxy of course had just turned online, and therefore didn't have much of a scare. Bonnie is scared the hell out of her because he awoke screaming. Music Man was relatively calm but holy crap that's a giant robot. And sun and moon tried to kill her. Fun times waking up all these animatronics.
Now I've got to explain how the warehouse is outfitted before we get into any of the fun stuff of the story. Basically it is an extra large warehouse with an outside area that has been transformed. Inside there is a double decker arcade. Entryway. Stage. Daycare with outside access. A Fazer blast. A mini version of Rockstar row. And a parts and service that can handle both small and large animatronics. Outside there is a pirate's cove themed bumper boats. There is also a outside theater. Along with the outside portion of the daycare. And a good mini golf section.
Now we have a description of the layout of the warehouse. Every animatronics gets reassigned to an area. Freddy gets to basically stay up on stage, and is a walk around attraction. Foxy gets the bumper boats. Bonnie takes over the mini golf. Music Man of course gets the arcade. Sun gets the daycare and theater. Moon gets the daycare and fazer blast.
As you can tell. There's a little bit of swapping. Mostly in the fact that the daycare attendant gets to have to split between two different attractions. Of which third thing. Everybody has to go up on the stage for performances. Mostly at particular times, But nonetheless they have to go up there. Meaning the poor daycare attendants have to take care of four areas.
No of course the daycare attendants are extremely concerned about the fact that they are taking over four areas. The only really have coding for two of those areas. The daycare and theater. Fazer blast is fun to moon, but not something he knows. And playing up on the stage is completely unknown to them. None of them have held an instrument in their lives. They had a music box, and that was enough.
Which gets onto my OC! In this world, The virus is connected to the security protocol. And while Rayna is able to remove the virus entirely. Sun and Moon still correlate that security protocol with bad stuff. This causes the conundrum of Sun and Moon not being able to do their security protocol. Plus rounding up around the fact that they don't know how to play instruments in a rock-like fashion. Causes a big issue as Reina needs to get them on the stage or else fazco will get on her ass.
So she decides to be sneaky. She takes her lovely security drone. Which already has most of the security protocols for the warehouse in it. And plugs it into Sun and Moon. It basically takes all of Sun and Moon's security protocols into itself. Therefore making the third personality ‘eclipse’. But in this AU. They are called Dusk or Dawn. Dim together.
Sun and Moon are happy that the security protocol has moved over to Dim. The only problem is that dim is very much a newborn AI. In their mind is also a stagnant AI. Meaning they have to teach it and extend its parameters. Which sun and moon start doing. Teaching them how to properly scold children, while also watching from the sideline as it does it's security programs for the warehouse.
Nice little thing though. Because of the way Dim was implemented. They are inadvertently adopting Sun and Moon's AI. Meaning that dim is actually learning and becoming sentient. This doesn't really become apparent until sun and moon spot Dim ignoring his duties to listen to that passer by play his music.
Reporting this to Reyna who, despite being surprised by the security drone gaining sentence. Doesn't really care. They had a struggle to get Dim to play an instrument for Sun and Moon. So maybe he can just learn from the passerby. Which happens. They buy a hurdy-gurdy and tell Dim to learn how to play the instrument from that passerby. Which they do. The interactions between Dim and this passerby increasing their intelligence and sentience all the more.
Eventually Dim is just kind of considered another AI. Another one of the gang. And everyone basically learns of Dims existence as a sentient AI. Unfortunately this causes problems with fazbear. As they never said Raina could create her own AI with their technology. Luckily Rena's got a trick up her sleeve. It's her warehouse. Do they want to lose their warehouse? Fazbear decides no. They do not want to lose their warehouse. So Dim exists and becomes a part of the gang.
That's sort of turned into a history of the beginning of the warehouse AU and its world. Instead of just talking about Dim. So I'm probably just going to make another post explaining Dim's abilities and looks. But this is a good history of how they came into existence. And yes, at first I just called them an eclipse like. But eventually I realized this was basically my daycare attendant OC. So I bite the bullet and just call them an OC.
And I love them for being my OC.

Title: Another 90s Camera: Olympus Camedia C-2000 Z
DeviantART Version [CLICK ME!]
Hello, January! Sorry for the long delay, though. Because I have a lot of things that happened at the beginning of 2024. And GOOD NEWS, I've bought something that makes my PC bring back to LIFE, after 7 months of being inactive (since Jun 9th, 2023)! 🖥️🔧😀 Although I'm still working on the topic, maybe I'll submit it this Feb 2024! 😁
Right now, it's time for my 1st throwback item share of 2024, with this neat-old camera (as my improvise).🙂
• Here's another '90s camera, this is the Olympus Camedia C-2000 Z 📷 inherited from my late grandpa named Jim, who passed away on Jun 6th, 2020 owing to complications, as well as the victim of the COVID-19 virus. Once again, R.I.P, grandpa Jim. 😔⚱️🥀 Believe it or not, I used this '90s camera for submitting on dA, back in Jan 2010. 🙂📸🖼️
Here are my snapshots from the 2010s, so far using the 90s Olympus cam: ○ Jan. 4th, 2010 #1 - [CLICK ME!] ○ Jan. 4th, 2010 #2 - [CLICK ME!] ○ Jan. 19th, 2010 - [CLICK ME!]
BTW: #1: All these three we're stored to my dA private storage, but at least I've already posted on tumblr, couple of years ago.
(and) #2: Also, picturing & submitting these photos on whole "January" calendar was utterly coincidence. 😊📸
1st & 2nd Image(s) [took photos on Jan 19th, 2023]: ↑
• Anyways, the 90s Olympus cam possessed 2.1 megapixels of camera 📷✌️, which was pretty clear & and crisp at the time. However, as of 2024, it is considered a pretty low megapixel that no other modern high-quality companies make that, anymore. 🤷‍♀️ Except for cheap gadgets, of course. And when you compare to your (flagship/mid-range) smartphones 📱/digital cameras 📷 that possessed a whopping 150+ Megapixels, and sometimes 200+ megapixels for the Pro-DSLR camera brands 📷🖼️ speaks volumes to the consumers. It was simply an evolution of the camera lens. Today, like the brick phones from the 90s, the 90s cameras we're now a relic status of the past, meaning no one's using them, anymore due to outdated hardware. They now act as a throwback collection, which simply refuses to throw the trash 🚯, like this ancient 90s Olympus camera. 📷🫳 But hey, if your 90s camera still functions, then you're lucky to used it, but please be careful. 😉
• So, what about the "Olympus" 🇯🇵📷 brand? What happened? Are they still producing cameras? 🤔 Well, according to "quora.com", quote "Olympus has announced in June 2020 that it is selling its camera division to Japan Industrial Partners (JIP) and will exit the camera business altogether. The sale to JIP was completed in January 2021, and the new company created from the sale is called OM Digital Solutions." This means the Olympus camera brand is already off the camera wars; with Canon, Sony, and other Japanese camera brands still running the camera business. However, the Smartphone cameras became more advanced than the old-style digital cams. Here's hoping, that the digit cams will have the same treatment, or maybe still be around in case the smartphone's camera pixels weren't enough, in terms of the raw image.📷🤞

3rd & 4th Image(s) [Took photos on Jan 29th, 2024]: ↑
• Uh yeah, I forgot that the camera includes a soft case fitting for this model. And look, my paper dolls were delighted to see a throwback camera & they wanted a snapshot using it. 🙂📸 Yeah, but it's no longer working 📷❌, and I tried (using 4 Eneloop AA Batteries) 🔋🔋🔋🔋🤷‍♀️. So much so, that I decided to pretend to take snapshots with the old cam while taking photos with my actual camera from my current smartphone (Honor 8C). Was that a coincidence? 🤔 I'm not so sure 😅, but they're delighted. 😊
Well, that’s the end of my topic, more things to come this 2024. 😊

Graveyard Shift
(A/N: hey guys this is my first fnaf fic and also i apologize for my insane writing style)
Mike is missing Vanessa and gets a job at a hospital.
A large piece of paper with a “FIRED” laid upon Mike’s desk.
Mike stared at the paper in utter confusion. He looks around the office, waiting for an explanation. He just started a month ago, don’t tell him he’s doomed to forever look for a job he’s only gonna have for a few weeks and then get fired!
“You got fired again?” Abbey asked at the dinner table. It had only been a couple of months since his last job as a… security guard… “How come?” Abbey continued to question as she stuffed her mouth with cheap off-brand cereal.
“Apparently, I kept clocking in too late when they needed me to come in sooner, or something like that.” Mike shook his head as he filled his coffee mug to the brim, nearly overfilling it due to his lack of focus on the very important act of filling a cup of coffee. He could never get a job as a barista like that. Wasn’t even a good brand of coffee.
He put the cup of coffee on the dinner table in such an unmannered manner, such a rude man not putting his coffee down in a way so that it wouldn’t make a loud sound. With a swift motion he pulled a chair out and sat his perky little cheeks on it. Abbey looked up from her bowl of cereal at him with some kind of emotion on her face, not sure which. “How is Vanessa doing?” she asked as she tilted her head. Mike froze for a moment. He forgot when the last time he visited her was. But he knew for sure that last time, she was still asleep. “Why haven’t I seen her lately? Is she still hurt?”
Mike nodded his square head “Vanessa is getting better but she has to stay at the hospital until she can get back to working. Working as a cop is dangerous, you see, so they want to make sure she’s had a full recovery.” Abbey looked at him like he was stupid. “Yeah, I know why she’d need to stay at a hospital. I just wanted to know how she was doing.” she said cockishly. Mike chuckled as he looked in the jobs section of the daily newspaper. It was then he saw an ad for a night shift as a security guard at the very hospital Vanessa was staying at.
Mike looked away from the paper and towards his pseudo-daughter sister girl. “Hey Abbey, how has school been treating you?” Abbey stopped her cereal chewing for a moment and spoke to him with her mouth full. “Ifs beenf goof!” she swallowed, “There’s this boy and girl who's been hanging out with me at lunch.” That made Mike smile. “That’s cool, they got names?” he asked. “Of course, um, their names are Cassie and Gregory. They mostly talk to each other, but they like drawing with me.” She started to brag about her new-found friends, wiping milk from her mouth as an alarm clock started to go off. Mike grabbed the clock and smashed it on the ground. “Looks like it's time for school then.” Abbey happily stood up from the table not even putting her dishes in the sink wow Mike really setting a good example for your little sister and ran over to the door, putting on her shoes.
After dropping Abbey off, Mike started thinking about that graveyard shift at Vanny’s hospital. Now of course, Mike is still traumatized by his last graveyard shift, and he's not even sure if he can do nights again ever since Max…
But still, it was probably best to look for some kind of job. Maybe he could even pay Vanessa a visit! No, that was creepy. Kind of creepy. Would Vanessa find that creepy? Would she be happy that Mike got a job just to see her? After everything they’ve been through?
When Mike got home he immediately grabbed the phone and dialed in the number of the hospital. Y’know, just cuz he needed the job. No other reason.
“Y’ello, this is Fritz Smith at the New Horizons Medical Center, how may I help you?”
Mike thinks for a moment about what to say.
“....Y’ello? If you aren’t gonna say anything then just hangup, we’re a very busy line we don’t have all day.”
“I wanted to ask about the security job.”
___________________________________________________
As he stepped into the cool air of the night out of his car, he looked at the hospital before him. He already had on his uniform and brought a flashlight with him, so instead of checking to make sure he had everything, he just unlocked the doors and walked in balls to the walls like he owns the place. God what a prick.
Mike got to his office, didn’t put anything down cuz he forgot to bring a backpack, and then immediately left to go see Vanessa. He was lucky he was able to find a babysitter in time, some guy named Ness who needed a side hustle alongside his waitering job. Mike went up and down the stairs AND the escalator trying to find Ms. Nessa before finding her room. He was twice as lucky that she got a room all to herself, so he wouldn’t be disturbing any other patients.
Mike flashed his flashlight directly at Vanessa’s face. Nope, not waking up. Mike got real close to Vanny’s ear and whispered a soft “Vaaaa~~ Nessss~~ Aaaaa~~”. Didn’t work either. Mike slumped in the chair next to her bed, out of ideas. His perky little buttcheeks weren’t helping him this time.
“I guess I shouldn’t have expected much. You’re still recovering after all. Sorry, Vanessa.” Just as Mike got up from his chair, he hears a screech and feels something grab at his arm. “Mike? That you?”
Mike could jump for joy. In fact, he did. He fucking jumped on a poor sick woman. He then realized that was weird and got back up.
“Sorry, I just- me and Abbey both missed you.” Just as Vanessa was about to speak, he interrupted, “I didn’t bring her with me by the way, I’ve learned better.” Vanessa chuckled.
“I’m glad to see ya, Mike. I uh, haven’t been having great dreams. Nightmares, to be exact. Nightmares about my dad, to be specific.” Mike sat back down into the chair nodding his head. “Go on?” he furthers.
“Well… I keep thinking about something that happened when I was a child.” She began, “I had just gotten home from school when I walked into my father preparing dinner in the kitchen. He was making my favorite, potato stew.” She leaned on Mike’s shoulder a bit, tearing up a little. “I used to love potato stew, I would always ask my mom to make it for me. I always had it on my birthday, too. But that day, I stopped liking it.”
“How come?” Mike asks, “Did you find a fly in your soup?” Vanessa chuckled a bit before her voice changed to a somber tone.
“No. But I did find something else in it.” She started to choke up and before Mike could even ask what, she says “I found my mother’s ring finger in it.”
Mike stares at her in disbelief. Vanessa starts to sob, the memories coming back. “A-and. I remember my dad.. He.. he told me that if I ever cr-crossed him. Like my mother did. I’d. I'd end up like her.” She laid her head on Mike’s arm, getting his jacket wet from her tears. Mike wasn’t really sure how to comfort her, he was also just really bad at comforting people in general. He knew one thing though, that his perky little buttcheeks wouldn’t help.
“I’m really sorry Vanny. It’s not the exact same, but I know how it feels for your mom to not be around anymore.” Vanessa nodded with tears rolling down her face cheeks. “A few years after Abbey was born, mom just felt so stressed she…” Vanessa pulled him into a hug. Mike just accepted it, knowing she knew what he was about to say.
“SNOOOOOORKKKK mimimimimi….” Vanessa snored loud as hell. Mike put her back into her bed making sure not to mess with all the wires next to her. He figured it’d be fine if he fell asleep on the job, at least until six.

BUILDING A CLOSET THAT WORKS FOR YOU
Hi girls! So something I’ve found super important in finding who you are as an individual is finding your fashion/style. It’s so easy to get washed up in trends we see that we buy things that we wont even wear come 6 months layers. Here are some things I’ve done in order to build a closet that is timeless!
Tumblr media
1. INVESTING IN BASICS
I completely understand the urge to buy clothing we see go viral on social media, but more often times than not, we simply like the appeal it has. That doesn’t necessarily mean it correlates with OUR style. Basics work well on everyone, and can be used as a blank canvas for outfits.
White and black tees/tank tops, straight leg jeans, one-colored hoodies, a simply black dress, black slacks and a pair of leggings are all elements I personally think everyone should own.
2. Accessories are your BEST FRIENDS
- Let’s talk jewelry first. In my opinion, investing in quality jewelry is always a better option than simply buying jewelry from cheap stores, such as Shein. They’ll rust easily and won’t last long. Now that doesn’t mean you need to go all out in luxury, there are many stores that have quality jewelry, while remaining in a suitable price range (Mejuri, for example). However, I heavily recommend APM Monaco jewelry if you want to splurge a little. The jewelry there is amazing! I’m not personally a “silver” or “gold” girlie, I like both, and sometimes will even stack them together. This brings me to my second point!! No shame to my minimalistic girls, but i LOVE when my wrists are stacked with bracelets, I feel like it adds SO MUCH to an outfit. That with some chunky hoops and a simple necklace, will elevate your look tenfold.
- Just like jewelry, finding a quality bag goes a long way!! Every girl should have at least one purse that they can use on an every day basis. And there is no excuse, a quality purse can be found at the thrift store. I have so many beautiful bags that have all been thrifted!! However, if you’re looking to purchase one, here are my recommendations (based on overall quality and look): Longchamp, Goyard, Polène, Coach. In my opinion, these are the brands where you can truly find bags that are well-made and can match with most outfits!
3. UNDERSTANDING THAT SHOES ELEVATE ANY OUTFIT
I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes I’ll base my whole outfit around my shoes. Shoes are SO powerful and the difference between wearing a sneaker and a heel is massive. I can’t really comment on where to buy quality heels (since I only own a handful, so please let me know in the comments if you know lol), but I’ll put some sneakers down below that I adore!
Sambas, Gazelles, New Balance 550s, Isabel Marant shoes, Golden Gooses, Alexander Mcqueen
4. BUYING A COUPLE OF UNIQUE PIECES
I think that style reflects who we are and investing in a couple unique pieces is definitely the way to go. I personally choose to invest my money in unique sweaters or cardigans (since I live in a relatively cold country). I also tend to find more unique pieces at small businesses, rather than large companies. Pinterest is also the greatest help in finding your own sense of fashion.
Let me know if you would like more links, examples of pieces I would wear!!
so much love,
a girl unfiltered 💋

Favorite Haircare Products 2024
Hello, 2024! I was supposed to post this in December last year because I often get told that my hair looked really nice so only then that I realized that the hair products I've been using, plus new ways of taking care of my hair are really effective.
But as usual, life got so busy so I had to postpone publishing!
Anyhooo, these products have been a constant part of my haircare routine since July 2023 and I still use them til now. This is how my hair looks like as of January 2024.
Tumblr media
Of course, I still have bad hair days, especially on days I forgot to apply Argan oil! But on lazy days where I don't feel like styling my hair, I make sure to apply a hair mist.
Lifestrong Hairfix Advanced Hair Mist
This one is a total favorite! I saw this on Nikki's IG stories (AskMeWhats) mentioning how it was on sale at Watsons that time. I got it for just 160-ish pesos at that time so I decided to get both variants and that's one of the best 160 pesos I've ever spent that!
I spray these anytime, anywhere, and apart from they smell so good, they don't leave any sticky feeling. My hair looks so shiny after and did I mention that this has UV protection, too?
Tumblr media
I also find this useful before heat styling because it makes my hair more manageable.
Lucido-L Argan Oil
Okay, this is truly THE BEST hair product I have ever come across. I have been using Argan oil on and off for many years, maybe more than a decade now. But I would usually stop at one point because it makes my hair and scalp so greasy and it smells like wet grass for real. Not that it's a bad scent, but it's not something I'd like other people to smell on me.
This Lucido-L Argan oil was an impulse purchase when I was shopping in Hong Kong. I got it from Mannings for just 70HKD (500pesos). I tested it there and I liked the non-sticky consistency and the "expensive" scent so I bought it without expecting too much. But OMG this helped me so much with my damaged hair. I barely get tangles and washing my hair every other day became bearable because it's not icky at all. (Yes, as a tropical girl I used to wash my hair every single day, even 2x or 3x a day!)
Vitress Cuticle Coat Instant Relax
Vitress is such a classic haircare brand and I've been using products from this brand for a long time. My current favorite is their cuticle coat which I apply only at the ends of my hair after heat styling. It basically just adds shine and it makes my hair straighter. That's what I noticed about this, it's not really the best when I'm curling my hair because it weighs my curls down but when straightening my hair, this works wonders!
Tumblr media
BENCH Fix Professional Dry Shampoo
Like I mentioned earlier, I used to wash my hair everyday, and during the scorching summer, maybe even 2 or 3 times daily. But these days, I try my best to preserve my hair's natural cuticle buy not stripping it off its moisture every wash. To counteract the grease, I just use a dry shampoo. This one from BENCH is super cheap and works well in getting rid of oil. I like how it adds volume, too!
Tumblr media
My hair would look like this without heat styling! I'd just wash, apply hair mist and let it air dry and it'll still look like this. Applying Argan oil the night before helps so much as well :)

Chapter 14: Gifts
The next three days Stephen ignored any text and call from Tony.
Then the gifts began to arrive.
At first, it was a tall mug filled with coffee. Stephen thought Christine was kind enough to leave him before rounds. The mug seemed custom fit to his grip, had a thick handle and wide rim. It didn't burn his palms the way the paper cups in the cafeteria did.
The following day, the staff room had a brand new espresso machine that came with coffee so rich and dark Stephen found himself licking his lips all day trying to savor the taste.
The cafeteria changed food supply companies three days later and the grey gruel disguised as the basic elements on the food pyramid disappeared and were replaced with meals patients actually are instead of dumping it in the trash next to them. Stephen considered actually eating at the cafeteria for the first time he worked here.
A week later, the dean showed up as Stephen was signing the delivery slips to a brand new MRI machine the hospital desperately needed, but he couldn’t find a purchase order for anywhere. The dean lingered by the door, hands shoved his pockets. His eyes met Strange’s and he nodded very pleased with the latest addition of tech. “Good job.”
“I don’t know what you mean,” Stephen replied, highly confused.
“Of course not.” The dean winked at him. “After all, you’re not a messenger.”
Stephen dropped the pen to the floor. I couldn't be! It had to be a stupid coincidence. It was probably the dean's revenge for Strange being so snappish with him at the gala. The dean must have placed the order himself. An MRI was way too expensive; only he had the authority to spend that much of the hospital money.
Stephen picked up the pen and dismissed it as a bad joke.
For lunch he met with Christine at the cafeteria. He hadn't told her about the UCSF offer yet. The business card was lying on his work desk at home; he hadn't dialed the phone number on it yet. Funny. Not long ago he would have accepted the position on the spot, packed his bags and left New York behind. Stephen saw himself as someone who was focused on his job, his career.
The fact was, it was still in his focus, but he felt he had built something here. New York felt like home, which was ridiculous, because it was a giant, chaotic city.
He chose fish for lunch, because it looked like real fish and not some cheap and mashed together fish-like something. The MRI machine came back to his mind as he looked at his plate. He told himself it was a coincidence. The hospital had clearly made good profits this year.
The next day, Stephen showed up later than usual for work. His only appointment today was a surgery. A routine procedure and he didn't need to prepare for it other than to be rested and re-read some details. Putting his jacket and bag down in his office, he spotted a small box sitting on his desk. That was odd since his door has been locked.
The box was square with a logo of Arnold & Son. When he opened it, he found a piece of art of mechanism and titanium. Elegant and sleek. Stephen was sure that if he tried the watch on, it would fit perfectly on his wrist.
He walked to the station office on the same floor, which was also responsible for making his appointments in his absence, functioning as some kind of secretary. "Has someone been here to see me today?"
Billy glanced up from his computer. "Not that I know of. Why?"
"There's something on my desk I didn't put there."
"Oh yes!", Billy remembered, snipping with his finger. "A delivery was left for you at the front desk. I put it in your office."
"Do you know who dropped it off?"
"Sorry, no. You have to ask Sarah."
Stephen turned around and chased down Sarah from the front desk. But she could not help him either. The watch had been brought by a private courier. The nondescript, generic type.
Back in his office, Stephen stared at the watch. He remembered Stark's joke to show him his collection. But Tony had stopped calling him, after Stephen refused to talk to him.
Despite the expensive gift, Stephen still didn't call Tony back. He wouldn't even know what to say.
Two days later it was raining. Stephen drove his car to work as usual. He was running late, the streets were crowded. More people than usual were driving their cars, trying to get less wet on their way to work than by any other means. So Stephen's mood was not at its peak anyway. Then, arriving at the hospital, he saw that his personal parking space was occupied. He stared at the flashy sports car that had the audacity to stand in the space that was clearly assigned to him by a badge. The color of the Porsche 918 Spyder was so obnoxious that Stephen was sure it was a special paint job.
He knew of only one person who would drive such a car and who liked to sneak into his personal space. Grumbling, the doctor parked elsewhere – farther away from the main entrance, getting a lot wetter, although he hurried into the building with long strides. He went directly to the front desk.
"Someone is parking in my spot." Already in a mood he was willing to have the car towed. It was Tony's own fault to provoke him like that.
Sarah's face lit up as soon as she saw him. "Doctor Strange!" Her voice was a singsong even though she had no right to be this cheerful on such a rainy day. "Something's been dropped off for you again. And I also believe it's the solution to your problem."
Before Stephen could ask what the hell she meant, she pushed a jingling car key into his hand. Hanging from it was a personalized leather keychain with his initials. There was no mistake. Still, Stephen stared at the thing, taking a moment to realize what it meant. He blinked before looking back at Sarah. "Is someone waiting in my office for me?" He was wondering if Tony finally showed up. This was a way too expensive gift to not deliver it personally.
Sarah frowned – she probably expected a different reaction – and double checked the digital calendar. "No. You don’t have any appointments this morning."
Stephen turned away with a muttered "Thanks." With the key in one hand, he pulled out his phone with the other. He needed to talk to Tony. It couldn't go on like this. He couldn't put off a conversation with the man any longer. No one could tell what Tony Stark would do next. So he dialed his number.
Surprisingly, no one answered. Stephen waited until he was transferred to his voice mail. So he tried again. Stephen had never called Tony before. They had always just texted. He knew Stark was busy, but normally he always got back to him as soon as he had a free moment.
Stephen scoffed in irritation. After going to so much trouble to get Stephen's attention, you'd think Tony would be waiting for a message from Stephen.
Only on his third try in a row, Tony finally answered. "Stephen, bellino, are you alright?" Tony sounded concerned – probably because it was so unusual for Stephen to keep ringing – but also curt. As if Stephen were bothering him. That, in turn, bothered Stephen.
"Yes, We need to talk about the 'presents' you're sending me."
A brief pause arose and Stephen heard something in the background from Tony’s side. "Can I call you back?" he asked. "I'm kinda in the middle of something."
Stephen snorted, feeling offended. "No! Your meeting can wait for five minutes or I'm changing my mind about talking to you altogether."
Tony sighed silently. Holding his phone to his ear, he gestured with his other hand, in which he held a gun, to Steve, to keep the rogue group of a rivaling gang at bay, while he stepped to the side. "Alright, tesoro, I'm listening."
"You have to stop sending me stuff. It's getting ridiculous."
"Didn't you like the watch?" Tony asked.
"It's a nice watch," Stephen admitted. "But that's not the point…"
"I can get you a better one."
Stephen was losing patience. He felt like they were having two different conversations. Why was he talking to Tony about watches? "No, Tony. I don't want a watch. Do you even know why I'm angry with you?"
"Of course, you said-… hey! Who allowed you to get up? I'm trying to fix things over here..." Gunshots rang out and Stephen stared at his phone in horror before hearing Tony's voice again. "Sorry, doc. Some people just have no sense of decency. Where were we?"
"Where are you? Are you okay?"
"Aw, are you worried about me?" The smile on Tony's face sounded in his voice and Stephen sighed loudly.
"Can we meet?" he asked.
"Sure, I'll send Happy to get you after I'm finished with the scum here."
"I'll come to the tower after my shift." Stephen didn’t need the driver, he had his own car. Two of them actually, thinking of the key that he was still holding in his hand.
~~
Stephen parked his car – his own, not the new Porsche, thank you very much – outside and entered the tower through the lobby. The receptionist nodded politely to him before Stephen stepped into the elevator that took him upstairs.
He had noticed on previous visits that the entire tower was monitored by video cameras and suspected that nothing happened inside without Tony himself or his men knowing about it. So it didn't surprise him when Happy picked him up from the elevator. "Hello doctor. The boss is still in a meeting. He asked you to wait in the living room."
He took him there and Stephen sat down on the couch. Happy himself didn't seem to want to keep him company and disappeared into the hallway and out of Stephen's sight. The doctor crossed his legs, not happy about having to wait. He was impatient, feeling antsy. It wasn't like him at all. But ever since he'd met Tony, he wasn't even sure what was like him anymore.
He propped his elbow on the backrest and rested his head in his hand. Mentally, he reviewed the evening of the gala. After Stane's words, he had become quite upset, possibly overreacting. What he had heard had surprised – and hurt – him. He should have at least let Tony explain it.
The sound of clicking heels approached him.
"Doctor Strange." Pepper looked at the empty coffee table in front of him. "Can I get you a drink? Coffee, tea…something else?"
Stephen's first instinct was to decline. He didn't want to talk to Pepper, didn't even want to see her. Then again, he had no idea how long he'd have to wait. "Coffee would be nice," he therefore said.
Pepper nodded and stepped into the kitchen. Stephen heard the sound of a coffee maker.
Shortly, she returned with a tray on which were two cups, as well as milk and sugar. She set one of the cups down in front of the doctor. The second she took herself and sat down on an armchair opposite him. "I wanted to talk to you," she told him, but first turned to her coffee and weakened it with plenty of milk. Her eyes darted him a pointy look, before she settled back and took a sip.
Stephen added some sugar to his coffee and waited for what she had to say.
"I'm Tony's lawyer. So almost everything that concerns him also concerns me," she said. "I'm also his friend, so that doubles that statement."
Stephen raised his eyebrows and suppressed the jealousy that was rising inside him. On the outside he managed to maintain a neutral demeanor. "I heard once you were more than friends."
He felt like Pepper was indeed sitting as a lawyer in front of him and Stephen was her latest case. No. Tony was the case. And Stephen was on trial.
Pepper watched him calculating. In their last meetings she had displayed a polite friendliness towards him, but now she was all business.
Fine. Two could play that game, Stephen thought. As a doctor, he often had to deal with difficult patients. And even if it was not one of his favorite tasks, he had acquired a professional business attire of his own over time.
"We were," Pepper told him. "But we realized quickly that we work better just as friends." She tilted her head. "That was quite a while ago and shouldn't concern you."
"It does if it's a regular occurrence that Tony falls in bed with people who work with him," Stephen objected. They were Stane's words but they haunted him.
Pepper looked as if she suddenly understood something, and her gaze softened a bit. "I've known Tony for many years and I've only seen him falling in bed exclusively with the same person a few times. And he never talked about them as much as he does about you."
To this Stephen doesn't know what to say and he looks down at his sweet but untouched coffee.
"Why are you here?" Pepper asked suddenly. "Do you want to end things with him?"
"I wouldn't even know what it is I would end." Stephen snorted, but it was true. "I don't think he does even know why I was angry, and he bought me a goddamn sports car anyway." He pinched the bridge of his nose, still not understanding the behavior of Tony.
Pepper made an amused sound. "Have you even told him why you started that fight?"
It didn't surprise Stephen that Tony had apparently told her. She probably wouldn't be sitting here in front of him otherwise. He thought about her question, though. Stephen hadn't told Tony, but really it should be obvious – shouldn't it?
"Tony does talk a lot," Pepper continued when Stephen didn't answer. "But honestly, communication isn't always his strongest point. Sometimes you need to spell things out for him. You, on the other hand, should finally start to listen – to truly listen – to him."
Stephen tilted his head as Pepper put down her empty cup. "Why are you telling me this?"
„Like I said: I‘m a friend of Tony and I hate seeing him like this. You are different. You‘re not intimidated by him. I like that about you. It would be a shame if I had to change my opinion about you.“ She said the last sentence with emphasis. Pepper Potts was not someone Stephen would want as an enemy. In the short time he had known her, he already respected her a great deal. He could well imagine that she had the same reach of influence as Tony, but she was more subtle about it. Like a cobra waiting in the tall grass until her unsuspecting prey was close enough to attack.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Tony entered the spacious living room and both heads turned to him instantly. He stopped, not sure what to make of the fact that his lover doctor and his lawyer had obviously talked about him. The sudden silence that greeted him was loud enough.
Pepper smiled knowingly and stood up gracefully. "I'll leave you two to it." She gave Stephen one last look and then left the room.
Tony approached, his face emphatically neutral. "You wanted to talk?"
Stephen nodded slowly. "Can we go upstairs?" He preferred to talk to Tony in his penthouse, where they wouldn't run the risk of someone barging in.
"Sure."
They made their way up in silence and it was kinda awkward. At least, that's how it felt for Stephen. Tony was unusually quiet. He kept his fingers to himself, respecting Stephen's personal space. It was very different from what they were used to – even before their first kiss in the doctor's office.
Once in the penthouse, Tony headed straight for the bar. "Drink?" he asked Stephen over his shoulder. The doctor declined, and Tony poured himself two fingers' worth of amber liquid. He swirled the glass and waited for Stephen to start talking
Stephen thought of Pepper's words and maybe she was right. Maybe he had to spell it out loud.
"At the gala I learned that you and Pepper were a thing in the past. And that you have a thing for replacing your lovers rather quickly."
They had never talked about being exclusive. Neither Tony nor Stephen thought about themselves to be men that were looking for something serious. And yet they stood here, not sure where this argument left them. What it made them.
"You accused me of buying you." Tony's voice was bitter. He didn't care if someone accused him of something he had done. But when he was accused of something he had been so careful not to do – not even for his own sake, but because he had listened and wanted to do better – it hit him all the harder. "I want you to think about it: after that first check you ripped oh so gloriously, did I try to give you another?"
"No," Stephen admitted. "But people are not only bought with money. All those gifts from you… that's called bribing."
"Is it?" Tony crossed his arms, no longer caring about the drink. "So, if I – like you said – pay you, what do I get in return?"
That was the question, right? What did Stephen have that Tony could possibly want? He wasn't bribed to be his physician. Stephen had declined that money and the gifts hadn't started until way later. Was it sex? Maybe. But Tony wasn’t the type of man that needed to bribe people into having sex with him. There were plenty of willing women and men.
"Who told you?" Tony asked when Stephen said nothing, not wanting to hear the silence. "At the gala, who told you about me and Pepper?"
"It was...you know, never mind, that's not important." Stephen wouldn't mention that it was Tony's own godfather who had told him. He didn't want to start another argument. "Maybe I overreacted slightly."
A snort escaped Tony, half amused, half scowling. But it was probably the closest thing to an apology the doctor had to offer.
Stephen suddenly had another question burning on his tongue. One he had had for some time, but had not yet dared to ask it. But if this was the point of all or nothing, then why the heck not as well try it. “What are we?” Because it has been fun and games so far. And yes, also blood and anger and passion. But at the end of the day, when Stephen thought about ending things with Tony and walking away – he didn’t like that thought.
After their fight at the gala, Tony had really made an effort in reaching out to him. If it wasn't a bribe and not a payment for just casual sex, then what was it?
Tony, ever the business man, returned, "What do you want us to be?"
It was so unusual to have a conversation with Tony Stark without him taking up Stephen's personal space. And maybe that was the point. From day one, Tony had marched into his life and claimed his attention. Maybe that was the reason Stephen hadn't felt the shift of whatever they had into being something genuine. He had always assumed that Stark took what he wanted and Stephen was just along for the ride. He hadn‘t even thought about Tony being serious. But now he was standing there, several feet away from Stephen, waiting for him to make the decision. And accepting whatever outcome occurred.
The doctor bridged the distance between them with a few steps, invading the space Tony occupied at the bar. When he licked his lips, Tony's attention instantly zoomed in. "You play dirty, Doctor,” he murmured. And wasn’t that just a deja-vu of their very first meeting. Just sans the gunshot wounds, fortunately.
“What if I want more than you’re willing to give?” Stephen’s voice dropped an octave.
“Bold of you to assume how much I’m willing to give.” As if Tony hadn’t just given him a ridiculous expensive car this very morning. But Stephen wasn’t talking about money.
Tony still didn’t lay a finger on him, but his eyes – dark and hungry – spoke volumes.
“Maybe I want all of you.” Finally, finally, Stephen kissed him. It was slow and sweet and very different from what they were used to.
Tony reacted immediately. His fingers sneaked under Stephen's shirt, yaking him possessively against him until their hips were sealed. They kissed until their lips were swollen and their cheeks sported a faint red.
It wasn’t the end of everything they had to talk about, merely the beginning. But they were at an understanding that this was more than they both thought it would be. Stephen would have thought that this fact scared him – surprisingly, it didn't. It felt natural.
He arched, planting small kisses and soft bites along Tony’s jaw.
A small moan tried to escape Tony’s throat, only held back by his teeth – Stephen heard it anyway – while Tony tried to form his thoughts in actual sentences. “I didn’t want to buy you.” It was very close to rambling. “Fuck, I probably have never respected someone more than you. You’re not shy to tell me off. You’re intelligent, gorgeous and very tempting. But don’t ever tell me to not pamper you with nice stuff. You deserve it. I’d love seeing you wearing the watch I bought you. Love seeing you enjoy it. I don’t care about the money.” Tony looked at him and Stephen had him never seen so open, so vulnerable like right now. “Let me take care of you. You can pay for dinner, if you insist, I don’t care. But don’t reject a gift from me. It’s like you stab me with a knife. And I take stabbing very personally.”
His words were very dramatic yet very Tony. And Stephen understood. He understood the sentiment behind them and where Tony came from.
“I won’t.” He kissed Tony’s collarbone then wandered higher to his lips, halted right in front of them without touching them. “If you promise me not to get over the tops with the gifts.”
Tony took his well-deserved kiss. "Bellissimo, have you met me?" He looked at the Doctor, a mischief twinkle in his eyes. "I'm always over the top."
They didn't make it to bed. Yet it felt more intimate than ever. It wasn't hungry and hot headed like usual when they fell over each other. Instead, they took their time, moving slowly. The air tasted sweet with desire and full of feelings. It was both addictive and infectious.
Stephen was the most handsome man that Tony had ever laid his eyes upon. That, he would admit without hesitation. Tony forced himself to keep his eyes open and watch as Stephen threw his head back and let out the most luxurious cry as he came hard.
They stayed on the couch, tangled together, afterwards.
Stephen's fingers chased the tattoos on Tony's body. They were all on his torso and not visible when he wore a shirt. The amount of colors would have surprised him when he treated him back then after his gunshot wound, if he hadn't already seen a similar view on Peter and hadn't been so tired after his shift plus the emergency surgery.
Tony was a piece of art. He belonged in a gallery next to the greatest painters and stone carvers. Yet Stephen was selfish enough to be glad that this view was only for him.
He traced to outlines of colorful and elegant flowers sitting right above Tony's navel.
"Those are Camellia flowers." Tony's eyes followed Stephen's fingers. Their eyes met for a moment before both looked again at the painting. Each of his tattoos had a special meaning. He understood when someone got a tattoo for aesthetics, for the sake of art. For him, every image on his skin was a reminder. A sign that he did not forget and won’t ever for as long as he lived. "They were my mother's favorite."
"They are beautiful." Stephen examined more tattoos, taking time for each to look closely at the colors and patterns. They had fascinated him from the first day he had seen them. "Is this a code?" Questioningly, he pointed to a number block of 0s and 1s.
"It's the name of my first friend in binary."
"That's a long ass name."
Laughing, Tony cupped his cheeks and pulled him up for a kiss, to which Stephen was only too happy to respond. Then Stephen moved the kisses further down and covered each tattoo with one, starting with the great, blue centerpiece on his chest. He wasn't sure what the circle and lines represented, but it was familiar to him by now, as were the scars underneath that it hid. It belonged to Tony.
Stephen's finger settled on the capital A, which he had also seen on some of Tony's men, if it was placed visibly. "A for Anthony?"
"Maybe." Tony chuckled. "Would be fitting for me, wouldn't it?" His fingers brushed through the doctor's dark hair, chasing the lighter streaks on his temples. "Nah, too easy. The FBI would love it though."
"Then what does it mean?"
„Avengers. Don‘t laugh! It started after my parents died. I was in a dark place back then. Angry. But the name was fitting. Still is for most of us,“ „Steve and Bucky are ex-military. Bucky lost his arm in action and they both suffer from PTSD. It was hard for them to find a place to fit in. They only know war and function best under stress. Clint was a kid from the streets. Circus runaway gone rogue. He tried to steal from me but I caught him. He taught me some basic ASL. One day he brought home Natasha. An orphan, born in Russia. Somehow found her way overseas. I made her residence legal.“
Every single one of his most trusted people had their own story. And few of them were happy stories.
„What about Peter?“ Stephen asked in a quiet voice, almost as if he was afraid of the answer. They all had their past, sure, but Peter was still so young.
„He had nobody left when I found him. He deserves so much more,“ Tony explained as Stephen snuggled up next to him, still listening. Tony sighed. He had made the traffickers, in whose care he had found the boy, pay. It still hadn't been enough, in his opinion. It never would be.
"I met most of that weird bunch of people after I became head of the business." After his parents died. "Did you know I was shot too that day?"
Stephen looked at him in surprise. "What?"
"They were ricochets. Three shards in my chest." Tony put his hand on the blue ink. "Two inches to the side and they would have been in my heart."
"That's… how did you survive?" It was incredible. Gunshot wounds like that were mostly lethal.
"I don't know. Luck I guess. Maybe someone up there had other plans for me." Tony shrugged his shoulders as if to dispel the thought. With a naked Stephen next to him, partly spread across him, he didn't want to think about those old stories.
"Has anyone told you about the six aspects of the Avenger's yet?" he therefore asked to change the subject. As he did so, he pointed to the colored dots next to the capital A. Stephen shook his head. "They are time, space, reality, mind, soul and power. Every member of the Avenger's earns their aspects for their use. Time, for long time members. Reds, Reality, are the executive force in the streets. People who implement plans and actually change things." Tony slid his fingers to the top, purple dot. "Currently there are only three people beside me who got this one. Stane, Rhodey and Pepper. If anything happens to me, they are the next in line of command. I trust each of them with my life."
Stephen suppressed the stab of jealousy that briefly ran through him at the mention of Pepper's name. He can't help it. But he had come to understand that she was no competition for him. To Tony, she was family.
Smiling, he looked at Tony – the man that chose him, Stephen.
"Thank you for sharing this with me."

How's your tooth? What were your fav. Things in Germany(beside the chocolate)? The least(beside the airport)? I need to know everything!
Doesn’t hurt so bad today! I’ve got a sinus infection and that makes my mouth hurt (no idea why, but it always does 😭) so I’m just holding on. I have to call the dentist tomorrow to see if they’re taking new patients (and if they can see me soon-ish, but maybe not until I feel better physically and can breathe out of my nose again) so wish me luck.
I’m listing all this below a read more since it got a little long 😂 I started a whole list and will post it eventually.
Favorite things:
public transportation! We don’t have that here where I live so it was super nice getting to just hop on a train and not having to drive. It was also pretty cheap and I never had any issues with it running late.
The grocery stores are so cheap. I went into one and was so shocked at how insanely cheap groceries were! I also really like the recycling system. I just recycled my bottles at my hotel but it was super cool (and even adding on the pfand, stuff was still insanely cheap).
McDonald’s curly fries. Stupid but so good.
No one really bothers you in shops? I appreciate help when I need it but there was no one constantly being like ‘are you okay? Do you need help?’ It was nice to be left alone.
Public bathroom stall doors. The ones here are insanely creepy, i now realize. Do not like the space. Love the full coverage doors in Europe.
Black currant. It’s not a flavor here but it should be. 11/10 love
The duvet situation. Having like no top sheet and just a duvet felt weird but I grew to love it.
Capri Sun with bubbles.
Chocolate.
All the museums!
Soccer (football) culture. Coolest experience ever was seeing a game, riding the train with fans, and just being there for it all.
Least favorite: (keep in mind a lot of this is because I grew up in a small southern town and have those ‘southern manners’ instilled in everything I do. A lot of these are probably normal in parts of the US and might just be a city thing. Not judging, just a little surprised and kinda thrown off.)
People blow their noses ridiculously loud in public. I get it, it’s normal there. Still. A massive culture shock to me. Not judging, just not a fan.
Dog culture. So many of them were off leash and I have no fear of dogs but a random dog, off leash, on a busy street? Freaked me out. Did not like. Also off leash on the train and that too freaked me out. (Almost all of them were well behaved but it only takes one wrong move for something to happen. I guess I’m just paranoid.)
Self checkout at grocery stores. We bag as we go along. I got yelled at in German for not knowing that you ring it up and then bag when you’re done, even though the instructions in English clearly did not specify that. Totally my fault, but still embarrassing. Should’ve just gone to a regular cashier.
Smoking. Everyone was smoking everywhere. At the entrance of buildings, right by the train, outside restaurants; everyone had a cigarette in hand. Smoking is so rare in public (at least where I live) that it blew my mind. And it smells so bad. Least favorite thing by a mile.
No one says excuse me. If they need to brush by you, they’ll just nudge you out of the way. I thought it was just a one off but it happened so many times. They didn’t speak at all, it wasn’t just me not understanding them saying excuse me, promise. I get manners are different but that threw me off. Wasn’t expecting it but I’ll know for next time.
Every chip is paprika flavored. It’s fine but it’s kinda bland? Maybe I just didn’t get the right brand but it was just meh. Lays was the only brand with any other flavor I saw.
Everything is closed on Sunday’s. (I’m from the middle of nowhere. Grew up in a town where that’s the norm. But Berlin is a massive city so it’s just odd to me that everything is closed. Maybe for work/life balance? I dunno. Im sure there’s a reason. Just not fun when you’re a tourist and still need food on a day everything is closed.)
Overall, everything was great. A lot of my ‘complaints’ are just culture shock things that I didn’t think to expect would be different. And, again, they’re not bad. Likely just ‘big city’ things I would experience in a large city here. Just a few small surprises as an American on her first trip to Germany.

When Everything Looks Like a Hammer... To Arms Commentary Part 1/2
Alright, sorry for the delay with this, I’ve been a tad busy what with the holidays and work and the holidays impacting work and-
But anyways, here’s the first twelve commentaries for the To Arms contest, the other twelve will come tomorrow along with a brand new one!
@bergdg - Ashmouth Crown
Tumblr media
I really like the idea of getting an equipment off of a madness trigger. With that being said, I think this should do two different things. One, is giving it a regular mana and equip cost that's overcosted for what the equipment is. That way, players are encouraged to pay the madness cost, rather than pigeonholed into doing so. The second is replacing the current attachment to something similar to Grave Scrabbler, where it checks if the madness cost was paid before attaching. This would allow it to be a bit stronger as a card, especially when played outside of the madness archetype. I love the flavor though, and I don't even hate the discard ability, given we saw it on Hell Mongrel in MH2.
@machine-elf-paladin - Cloudsteel Cutlass
Tumblr media
Okay, so the flavor hits me real nice. It's a floating sword, so it takes more effort to grab it if you're not flying. But the mechanics leave me wanting more. I get that +2/+0 for three mana in blue isn't nothing, but it leaves me wanting more. I would suggest giving the equipped creature a bonus if it already has flying, but that's not easily viable. Maybe a downshift to common as well as an increase of the equip costs by one each? But I still like the idea that the card explores.
@nicolbolas96 - Dagger of the Thief
Tumblr media
This is an interesting take on morph, and I can't say that I don't like the concept. That being said, I kind of think that there's no real reason to hardcast this. It's just strictly better to hidden-weapon-ify it, since it still gives the benefit as the morph. It's also kind of shallow as a mechanic, since it seems like it's going to always to be used as weird combat tricks, or maybe a Fake Your Own Death kind of card. If this is a mechanic you want to keep using, maybe it would be worthwhile to change it from just equipments to any artifacts. Or, make it morph. That way a player has to weigh the benefits of having another creature as opposed to a buff.
@mastemexeon - Frying Pan
Tumblr media
Exiling cards as an equip cost is interesting. This, as well as other cards that use exile as a kind of second hand is a really interesting design space that has been partially delved into, but remains relatively unexplored. I'm not sure how to feel about the equip cost though. It feels like it's a tad cheap, given you can recast the cards exiled, as well as only being able to increment it once each turn. Plus, I'm not entirely sure how comfortable someone would be with equipping this to the creature it's attached to each turn. It's sort of complicated, and newer players might not understand why you're able to do that. In addition, the flavor of itbeing a frying pan is partially lost on me. Yes, it's playing on the phrase "out of the frying pan into the fire," but that seems like kind of a low payoff for a joke with this many moving parts.
@deg99 - Gideon’s Sural
Tumblr media
Alright, Gideon's Sural. This is the main weapon of a well-liked planeswalker, so I can really see trying to come at it from a flavor perspective similar to Chandra's Regulator. However, I think that this is kind of all over the place. In addition, you're mixing two different counters, which the only existing planeswalker equipment (at time of posting) can't do by itself. Second, I think that giving out loyalty counters is good, but if the flavor is supposed to be about Gideon lending aid, it should be to target non-Gideon planeswalker. Lastly, I don't like having to equip this to Gideon each turn. Granted, you could always just put it on another creature until he attacks, but... It rubs me the wrong way. I really like the idea though, so if you don't mind me suggesting an alternative version of the card, I would probably play into the fact that Gideon isn't around anymore to use his sural. Treat this less as an extension of Gideon, and more so of a tool that he used that has signiicant value to the ones close to him. In fact, one person who might have found it come into their posession is Taranika, who is established to revere Gideon for his defense of Akros.
@snugz - Gilded Fiend//Beguiling Brooch
Tumblr media
Ooh, a card that transforms between a body and a weapon. I think that this is a neat idea, and I like how this is meant to be something involving all-consuming greed. One thing that was overlooked though is that you can shut it off if you can kill the creature attached to it. Because of this, this can end up as a dead card on field if you're caught without two mana, which is hard with this card, but still. Perhaps the addition of a standard equip cost would help, or maybe change it to a leaves the battlefield trigger? Either way, I think that this just needs a bit of polish to be a really great design.
@askkrenko - Goblin Trenchcoat
Tumblr media
God, I really like this card. It's such a neat concept and really well executed, to the point where you even designed around situations like ETB abuse. Unfortunately, I think the fact that all of the phased creatures don't stay phased out is what makes this card fall short. This does pose somewhat of a problem vis-a-vis the inpermanence of phasing clashing with the permanence of equipping, but even still I think that this is a really solid design.
@izzet-always-r-versus-u - Hieromancer’s Handcuffs
Tumblr media
Usually relegated to Auras, this is a neat take on the Arrest effect. It does the bog-standard thing of restricting attacks and blocks, as well as the recent trends of suppressing activated abilities. This also has the added effect of being reusable, since the trigger to attach it is both on etb, as well as on an activated ability. One thing that worries me, is how it requires the target to be tapped. Maybe the ETB should forego the tapped clause, but to be honest, that's probably when it will work best, since it disincentivizes attacks.
@wolkemesser - Mantle of Mystery
Tumblr media
Oh my. So, making something unblockable, as well as giving a power boost is not something to be taken lightly. Fortunately, this equipment only attaches to morphs. Unfortunately, this means that you have to be running morph if you want to play this card to the fullest. This is a problem that a few entries for this contest have had, so I think that boradly addressing it here where it's the main gimmick of the card should be fine. It's fine for cards to cater to certain strategies, and in fact, I would say that that's the best way to design cards. However, because of the nature of the game, you must make things usable to most players. Otherwise, the environment around the card has to compensate for it, forcing an overrepresented archetype. Pop equip on this and it's golden, especially with that sickass flavor text you've got on there.
@railway-covidae - Meandering Shellshield
Tumblr media
For those unaware, this card is a reference to the card Meandering Towershell. This is, to be frank, a weird card to do a callback with, but that's not to say I don't like it. In fact, I actually really like it. It does things that green usually does, and gives your opponent a chance to kill whatever they want to before it hits the battlefield and makes it tougher to merc. It doesn't give the same p/t and keywords as the original Meanderer, but that's probably for the best given what they are. Nice job
@helloijustreadyourpost - Necrotic Exoskeleton
Tumblr media
This is another interesting take on equipping the dead. I really like how this takes direct inspiration from both Glistening Oil and Grafted Exoskeleton, giving the whole thing a really nice Phyrexian vibe. In fact, it's so Phyrexian, I'm sort of confused why the watermark isn't on there. Regardless, good job.
@evscfa1 - Opaline Moonsickle
Tumblr media
If I had a nickel for each enchantment equipment submitted to this contest... I wouldn't have enough to buy a new joke. Anyways, this is really interesting, equipping once you get an Aura on it. It also gives a pretty decent amount of protection, causing removal to fizzle while keeping all your things. In fact, I might say that that's a bit too good, because with the right deck, you could end up playing solitaire. Add to that some constellation abilities, and you're kind of set to dominate in constructed. I would consider altering that bounce cost, either by adding a mana cost or something like sacrificing the sickle or an attached enchantment.
-
Thank you again for your patience, I know that my posts tend to come out later than they probably should. I can guarantee though that the rest will come tomorrow, and that this week’s contest should be fairly standard with the others on this page. Thanks again, see you tomor-aSDKLdsjsldkdklx mcm nnnnnnnnnnnn

Know the characteristics of the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
India now has access to the brand-new Royal Enfield Classic 350. The well-liked Classic 350 motorbike, introduced in 2008, is replaced by this model. This bike successfully combines current technologies with retro aesthetics. It has a counterbalanced 349cc single-cylinder engine, electronic fuel injection, comfortable suspension, dual channel ABS, and these characteristics.
Pilot lights, chrome, and a conventional, upright seat are the bike's design hallmarks. It also has a contemporary J-series engine underneath a fuel tank in the form of a teardrop. Although the bike is made to be ridden in a variety of environments, maintenance is simple.
The renowned 1948 G2 350 Bullet, which advanced motorcycle design, served as the model for the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The motor produces 19.2 lb-ft of torque and 20.2 horsepower despite its weight. Because of this, you won't ever have to be concerned about accelerating too quickly or too slowly. Additionally, the gearbox is low-stress, so you won't feel leg fatigue while riding.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is an excellent option if you're looking for a vintage motorcycle with everything you require. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in 15 seconds and top at 120 mph. In addition, it features a 13-liter gasoline tank and less vibration, making it an excellent option for lengthy excursions.
A reliable workhorse on a tight budget is the Classic 350. It won't blow your budget and is rugged and dependable. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is another excellent choice; both bikes are reasonably priced. You can pick between models with a single channel or two channels of ABS. You should expect to pay around Rs 2,21,297 for a dual-channel ABS motorcycle.
The first motorcycle made by Royal Enfield was introduced in 1921. It has been produced continuously ever since. The Classic 350, Bullet 500, and Continental GT 535 Cafe Racer are the three motorbike models now offered by the business. Additionally, the company intends to launch 100 dealerships around the country. The suspension setup on the Classic 350 is perfect. The rear shocks have a six-step adjustable preload, while the front suspension has 41mm of travel. The seat height for the rider is also 31.7 inches, making it comfortable all day. Additionally, a more extended rear fender can be ordered. The back seat contains a passenger seat.
A split seat and a side-slung exhaust are features that the new Classic 350 keeps from its predecessor. The redesigned instrument cluster on the new model includes a clock, trip meter, fuel gauge, and digital display. It looks and feels like a modern bike and has a superb paint job. The Classic 350 is the best option if you want a cheap ride in the US.
A 349cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine powers the Classic 350. At 6,100 rpm, the engine produces 20.2 horsepower, and at 4,000 rpm, it produces 27 Nm of torque. At 36.2 kilometers per liter, it also has exceptional fuel efficiency. A Retro Factory trims costing Rs. 1,49,900 is one of the many trims offered for the vintage 350.
There are three possible colors for the Classic 350. Alloy wheels and dual-channel ABS are features of the Gunmetal Grey variant. This motorcycle was once priced at Rs 1,95,252. But now, the cost has increased by Rs 8,228 to Rs 2,03,480. The price increase has mostly had an impact on consumer perception. Although this motorcycle continues to be the most popular in India, consumers may want to rethink their purchase after learning about the new price.

⇢ ˗ˏˋ HER BAG! ࿐ྂ︵↷ :
Tumblr media
While researching for a waterproof bag, she found this website and was hooked, so she bought it immediately. Although born into wealth, she likes to spend on cheap stuff.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ EBY━🌻
⇢ ˗ˏˋ BAG CONTENTS! ࿐ྂ︵↷ :
• HER WALLET & CAR KEYS!
She has the royal black wallet bundle from Ridge.com (it came with a coin tray), which she carries around in her bag to ensure she has her licenses, credit card, debit card, her black card, library card, and metro card at all times because you never know what will happen and if you need certain things.
She always has her car keys on hand because she has two licenses, one from New York and one from South Korea and whenever she travels she uses rental cars.
• PASSPORT!
Since she travels a lot for tours, promotions, breaks, and more, she always has to keep with her at all times. Surprisingly she has never lost it either.
• HER PHONES!
Since she is always on the go and busy, she has to remember to bring her business and personal phone because she keeps in constant contact with her family and business emails she has to answer from her entertainment companies and her own business.
• LIP STUFF!
She uses three lip oils and one lip butter for her lips. The three lip oils she uses are the Fenty Beauty lip oils with Barbados Cherry and Kalahari Melon and the Ami Cole lip treatment oil in the shade reflection with Baobab oil, Camellia seed oil, and Passionfruit seed oil. For lip butters, she uses the Nudestix Hydra-Peptide lip butter with Shea Butter + Avocado.
She also carries her clear lip glosses for red carpets and the times she is on camera for promotions with her members or cast mates for the movies and shows. She has two Pat McGrath lip gloss shades in color Aliengelic and Astral Moon Flower, Blitz Gold, and Earth Angel, two Tower 28 shades in Chill and Magic, and three Anastasia Beverly Hills ones in the shade Honey Diamond, Glass, and Moon Jelly. She has ten other clear ones from brands such as E.L.F., NYX (she uses the coconut chill shade, which is electrolyte infused & the clear lip lingerie gloss), Colorescience lip shine clear gloss which has SPF 35, Black Radiance perfect-tone lip gloss, The Lip Bar in the shade Minimalist, and lime crime in the shades Extra Poppin’, Extra Extra Poppin’ and Disco Cherry.
• SUNSCREEN!
She makes sure to wear sunscreen whenever she has to go outside or in the house. On non-makeup days, she uses the Dermalogica Protection 50 sport sunscreen, which has SPF 50, gives her 98% protection from the sun, is broad-spectrum (protection from UVB and UVA rays), and has a PA rating of ++++. She reapplies this every two hours and sets a timer to reapply. It’s her primary sunscreen.
When she has to wear makeup daily on photoshoots, movie sets, music video sets, music show sets, live performances, concerts, and promotions, she reapplies using the Colorescience® sunforgettable total protection brush for darker skin tones with SPF 50, which is also broad spectrum and has a PA rating of PA++++. She starts the day with the Dermalogica sunscreen; she reapplies the powder sunscreen every two hours and sets a timer to reapply.
• LAPTOPS!
She carries around her two laptops because, as I said, she is a busy woman and needs to be constantly aware of things, which she plans on upgrading in 2024-2025. I’ll add them to a chapter later.

2024 update: I hope you are all doing well!!

𝙾𝙱𝚂𝙲𝚄𝚁𝙴 𝙷𝙴𝙰𝙳𝙲𝙰𝙽𝙾𝙽𝚂.
WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE. Leather and sunshine on a good day, cigarettes on a really bad one. On late nights that’ve either been really fun or really dreadful, he may also smell suspiciously of whatever was going on at his favourite bar, Tender (see: other miscellaneous cigarette brands, and maybe the distinct alcohol scent if he’s downed enough). Takayuki doesn’t wear cologne unless he’s going to the courtroom or a date that makes him nervous, and even then he goes for more subtle scents than anything that’s right in your face. He’s got a typically nice scent overall as long as he hasn’t been overworking himself to death.
HOW THEY SLEEP. SLEEPING POSITION. SCHEDULE. ETC… Takayuki sleeps deeply and easily, contrary to popular belief. He has the ability to fall asleep anywhere at any time-- the only issue is if a) he’s busy; and b) he has enough means to continue his work that taking breaks of any kind won't make him feel guilty. He likes to sleep on his back, and depending on the time of day he does it, he’ll throw his arm over his eyes to block it from the light. He prefers to get a couple of hours at a time, but he’s not immune to downing a can of coffee, passing out for fifteen minutes, and then going through hell on the otherworldly merits of the power nap. He knows the merits of sleep and he tries his best to get it... the weird schedules of a private investigator just get in the way sometimes.
WHAT MUSIC THEY ENJOY. For Japanese music, literally anything as long as it sounds good. He leans towards music that uses “real” instruments instead of purely digital or synthetic noise, though. For English music, he likes things typically called “dad rock”. The fact his portable music device of choice is a classic Walkman that plays cassette tapes probably doesn’t help this image, either. (Incidentally, Takayuki’s written his own stuff, and it’s mostly acoustic guitar-related nonsense inspired by rock. You know you’ve got a real in with him if you know about that.)
HOW MUCH TIME THEY SPEND GETTING READY EACH MORNING. This depends wildly on his already unreliable schedule. Takayuki’s the type of person who can just brush his teeth, wash his face, and get going... and even then, he can skip the face-washing, deal with his teeth, and dash out the door. Preferably he likes to spend at least an hour so he can brew coffee just the way he likes it (he’s particular and snobby, even if he’ll never be snobby out loud), have some breakfast (even if it’s some cheap rice, natto, and egg), shower, and brush his teeth. He’s not picky about clothes, though, especially since his fashion sense these days boils down to “grab the nearest tank top, a pair of jeans, and go”.
FAVOURITE THING TO COLLECT. Vintage video game-related things, whether consoles or the actual games themselves. It’s a real problem that eats into his bank account when the person selling the thing actually knows the value of what they’re selling. Takayuki bought a pinball machine once just because he saw it was on sale on the Internet and it was such a steal he couldn’t not have it.
LEFT OR RIGHT HANDED. Born right-handed, trained to be ambidextrous.
FAVOURITE SPORT(S). Baseball, and his favourite team’s the Giants. Takayuki’s not just into keeping up with the news on the league, though, and is known to volunteer his time coaching little league teams when he can (he helped a teacher at Nishishinjuku Elementary once and has had “she invites me to New Year’s dinner if I don’t have any other plans” privileges ever since). The guy’s nearly been scouted by a pro for a team after watching him swing at Kamurocho’s local batting centre as well, but by then he was too attached to his detective business to really go through with it.
FAVOURITE TOURISTY THING TO DO WHEN TRAVELLING. Takayuki likes to research all the budget-friendly ways to travel beforehand, and if he’s sightseeing he sticks to schedules if only so he can see everything. If it’s a lazier type of trip, though, then he just likes to eat and walk, so long as he’s not spending a lot of money. He also really, really, really likes to take pictures. Everything is important to remember, after all.
FAVOURITE KIND OF WEATHER. Give him early spring weather any time, when things’re about to get warmer but it’s still a little cold from winter. Feeling the sun on his face and the cool air is a special kind of gift.
WEIRD / OBSCURE FEAR THEY HAVE. Nothing weird, really. Nothing scares him enough to stop him in his tracks, either, but he’ll probably hesitate if he has to deal with ghosts or spirits or anything related to the other side. The dead deserve to rest, not have idiots traipsing in on their business... but if he can find a way to help them find peace, that’s another story. A story that’ll give him the creeps, sure, but he’s never one to stay away.
THE CARNIVAL / ARCADE GAME THEY ALWAYS WIN WITHOUT FAIL. For carnival games, as long as it’s something that requires aiming and hitting something, Takayuki’s got the skill for it. For arcade games, though? He wins everything. Seriously. Takayuki chose Yagami Tantei’s location because it was near a Club SEGA... and also because his landlady was offering rent for cheap after he saved her dog, but you know how that goes. You’ll see a “TAK” on most of the leaderboards on Nakamichi St.’s Club SEGA just because he’s territorial about his #1 spot, and every time he sees it replaced he won’t hesitate to blow however much cash he has to get his spot back. Fortunately, he’s good enough at them that it’s never broken the bank.
Tagged by: @sixthxchairman thank u i owe u my life Tagging: @moldcursed (and taka’s 3 other boyfriends if u wanna do it for them LMAO), @thescaledqueen, @e-temmu, @backonmybullshit91 (john or frenchie or BOTH), @digitalmadness (tesso), anyone else who sees this and wants to give it a go tag me!!! i love reading headcanons hahah
