Astrology Observations #2!!!

Hi I'm back with more assumptions and thoughts (i got a lot of them). These are all opinions! Take what resonates! Also I'm not a professional, tell me if I got something wrong :D
Venus in Gemini/Air signs are not flaky (Idk I see a lot of people say this). They're surprisingly loyal, although they may be loyal to people who embody air style qualities rather than them exuding it themselves when it comes to love.
Jupiter opposite Ascendant in your chart can point to a very eccentric person, but they also may have trouble seeing how they actually are, and can have a negative self view, especially with "harsh" (Neptune, Pluto, maybe Mars) planets in 12th house.
Saturn in 11th house can point to achieving your goals later in life/after your Saturn return. With heavy air in the chart, you could've been a wild child.
Cancer Mars natives remind me a lot of car salesmen. They kinda can convince you to buy anything they want, especially if Lilith is in 2nd or 10th house. They can convince you to do anything.
Your close friends may have similar Lilith/your Lilith's get along. Everyone I've been extremely close to also have an Aries Lilith, or something that Lilith would get along with it. Kinda just a fun observation but still. Has anyone else noticed this?
Wherever Neptune is in your chart can tell you where people project onto you, or where you're forgotten the most. For example, Neptune in 4th may have people putting you into positions of Cancer like roles (caring, and supportive), or thinking you have a more than fine family life when you don't, as that area is where you essentially become a mirror.
South Node in Synastry is the coolest thing ever tbh. That's something you immediately feel in your soul. Especially South Node conjunct Mercury. That's your sibling right there. Blood or not.
Celebrities you adore may have the same moon sign/element you.
Singers with Venus in Taurus or Libra have the prettiest voices. Their lyrics either very poetic and powerful of they primary sound expensive or talk a sing a lot about luxuries.
Venus conjunction Midheaven will always be remembered as pretty. ALWAYS. Life and death.
Any planets in 8th house could show what people obsess about over you. For example, Pluto in 8th could have people obsess over your transformations, or try their best to expose you to more taboo things. Whatever the planet rules over normally, it can add a bit of a forceful or darker theme to it. It isn't always intense but it's always interesting when you notice it.
I've been thinking of Placidus vs Whole Sign, since my astrologers use both those, and one of them said that Placidus is more mental and Whole Sign is the world around you, and I have a lil bit of a theory:
Placidus - mental, friends, fans/what people see in you
Whole Sign - first impression, vibes you give off, the house system you look at for results.
They're both accurate, but Whole sign has always been the most accurate when it comes to external results like solar returns and such, and Placidus is kinda how people treat me if that makes sense?
Just a theory I don't know too too much about the difference of their (someone explain maybe plz I'm begging use small words)
Virgo in Lilith could face people nitpicking them for the littlest of things. The house can tell who's doing it/what it's about. Like In 9th people could try to pick at how you study/be classmates, elements of your spiritually/people of the same faith, and attempt to wear you down.
Aspects to your natal Juno can show your "turn ons" and icks when it comes to finding the one. Juno trine Moon could mean you like someone who's open with emotions and can be vulnerable, but square Moon could mean you're not a fan of sappy or dotting people.
Squares in Synastry are my favorite to look at, especially with longer terms relationships. Anything aspects to the ascendant can tell how they first met (in my experience). My favorite scenario was a married couple who met when the husband crashed a friend of the wife's bday party. Squares in sun, Venus, Mars, and Saturn. The wife later said that he stood out like nobody's business, but she liked that 🥺
Juno in Synastry is also something I like looking at with family members. Having a relatives jump conjunct a personal planet is such a warming thing. Like Juno conjunct Moon can mean they're emotionally invested in your well being, or conjunct Jupiter means they may go out of their way to help further education or world view. It's really sweet.
Mars can show where you come off too strong. Mars in 2nd could show you come off too strong when it comes to making money or showing off personally skills. 12th could be you fighting the urge to come off too strong and giving off a ":|" vibe instead.

Hey guys!! Today we have a synastry aspect post! I just so happen to be looking at my synastry charts. I took notice to asteroids in particular & things started to make sense. Pof - neptune~ may create spiritual connections everytime you & this person come in contact you may have spiritual experiences & gain insight. With the house this can show more how this plays out.
Ex: ( I'm Neptune person with this person and my Neptune is in 7th house and their pof is in 12th house!! This explain alot to me because everytime we come in contact with one another we talk about spiritual topics. I had dreams about them and a they held a large meaning & are prophetic. They have also said they have had dreams about me. This is just a small bit of what this placement is like. But you guys could really enjoy doing creative & poetic things with each other. I also want to add once I met this person I became a lot more spiritual. This is sextile @ 0°
Pof just expands everything similar to Jupiter & pof person brings you luck & inclines you to be more lucky in that area.
ceres - chiron: ceres- Chiron shows that the Chiron person is wounded in some way and needs nurturing from ceres. This aspects allows both parties to open up and heal and nurture each other intensely. For harsher aspects this pair may fight the healing, while soft aspects welcome this healing in with ease. This is the type of relationship where you were meant to meet each other to heal. This can be very triggering but so nurturing. Chiron will feel like Ceres is very understanding. This nurturing is usually mutual. Healing each others wounds and caring about the other deeply.

This relationship is the case of being the person of someone’s dreams but they’re not able to be the partner you deserve.
To them, you’re a complete dream and they debate about leaving or staying with you. It could also be that this is a dreamy relationship but someone feels very insecure about their partner.
You might feel like your next partner is out of your league or vice versa. I’m hearing that if you two are able to engage in multiple honest and open conversations about these insecurities, there’s a greater chance of going the distance.

You guys both know you’ll get through the bad times. And by bad I mean non-toxic non-abusive bad times. Just you know miscommunication or something. This person believes they will never ever find someone else like you. You’re end game for them. This relationship has a lot of confidence. And they will always try for you.
It’s very sweet - and there’s also some sort of nostalgia attached to it. Maybe you guys value and cherish each moment you’ve ever had. Super cute!

All of a sudden, she could feel the familiar hands of her sweetheart on her shoulders. Her wings opened up in surprise as she set her gaze towards Sabo, who had the biggest grin on his face.
“Good morning,” he greeted her in such a cheerful manner. Taking a closer look at her, the blonde soon took note of her cheeks, “Ah, so nice to see the freckles on your cheeks once again.”
That prompted Vega to puff up her cheeks & pout. Her head made a slight turn away from him, not letting him see the rosy color on her face.
“You've already seen them several times before.” She huffed, her tone now all cutesy. It made her sound like she was a child. Unfortunately for her, Sabo would take hold of her face with one hand before making her look at him again. He was gentle though, doing it slowly to not hurt her.
“That is true, my dear Vega. Even so, they never cease to amaze me. They make you look all the more endearing in my eyes.” His warm hand would soon squeeze her freckled cheeks, making her even more darling to him.
A slight, soft groan came from her, as if he told her a terrible pun just now.
“Sabo, you are my heart, my life, my one and only thought in my mind for as long as my lungs take breath,” she began, kissing him on the cheek before continuing, “But dear goodness honey, you are also such a tease and I love yet despise you for that.”
A simple chuckle left him as he kept squeezing her cheeks. Her being poetic with her words made his heart skip a beat. “Only because you're so adorable when you pout or when you're just being yourself in general, Vega.”

could we get some HCs about how the Narrator from TSP would do/act like if the was falling in love with the reader?
like maybe he adds new areas to the game just for us or expresses his love in the most cheesy but poetic ways possible.
maybe stanley is just watching this all happen like "s i g h when will they realise they have a crush on eachother smh"
Ooo yay!! I was wondering how Reader would exist in the TSP world but I decided that (unless otherwise specified) they would be a Player!Reader who can separate themselves from Stanley anytime they wish (like in the Not Stanley ending) 
And for Narrator I hc he remembers resets, but only the deeply traumatic ones (Skip Button, Not Stanley, and Zending) and has fuzzy memories of the rest
..............
When you show up in Narrator's dimension/room during his sad monologue in the NS ending, you take him by surprise.
He didn't think you could appear to him physically within the game.
Let’s face it, he hasn’t seen another human person who could actually talk to him in forever..so he nearly falls off his chair from the shock.
But he’s immediately enamored by your looks and voice.
Oh, how wonderful was your voice!
Though the first words you speak call him out on his childish insults to Stanley (and his “coward” remark when you couldn’t speak into the office’s receiver).
And Narrator sulks, forgetting the game didn’t allow you to connect a mic.
“I’m truly sorry, dear player. I see this is..my retribution for forcing you into all these choices. For demanding impossible things out of you. I suppose I needed to learn a few lessons myself. Would you return to Stanley so we can continue this story? Please?”
But you insist on staying for a while, wanting to prove a point.
And you two end up talking for a while, which Stanley faintly hears.
Tbh Narrator forgets how to have normal conversations, though he finds out your real name and your hobbies outside of this game.
After the game resets, you pop into his room again before making Stanley leave his office, wanting to get to know Narrator better.
And for the first time he starts to feel...love?
It’s confusing and surely would hinder him from his job.
Though that doesn’t stop him from setting up new paths and opening new doors, going on tangents about Stanley’s coworkers who dated in secret or describing how he and his “wife” celebrate Valentine’s Day or the “blossoming” romance between him and the bucket.
It’s painfully obvious that Narrator’s projecting onto both you (who didn’t really get the hints and is like “oh yay new paths”) and Stanley (who is just like “ugh are they that oblivious?”).
You also realize Narrator stopped insulting the bucket altogether if Stanley takes it, knowing how much you like it.
Though at one point, you notice Narrator’s monologue in the lounge room is more sullen, as he suddenly laments on how pointless love seems (while not-so-subtly admitting his crush on you and worries that you’ll grow bored of this game one day and leave him forever).
So you keep Stanley in place and go comfort him, the protagonist encouraging you with a nod.
This touch-starved higher being is shocked by your hug, but when you tell him you loved him for him (and not just his narrations and powers), he’s flustered yet relieved he didn’t make a fool out of himself.
Meanwhile, Stanley smiles as he hears him stumbling over his words when he realizes he heard the entire confession.
But...Narrator’s still unsure about some things, so as a “test” he leads you to the Zending and fills the space dome with heart-shaped lights and your favorite colors, wondering what you’ll do this time.
He’s afraid you’re gonna take Stanley up the stairs again, as he can’t change anything about this ending.
And yet...you don’t. You let him stay put and visit Narrator so you can watch the spectacle together for a while.
“You may not see yourself as real..but I do.” You reassure him. “I promise I won’t make any choices that hurt you ever again.”
He makes sure to mute himself so Stanley didn’t hear him cry.
You truly wanted him to be happy, too.

Hello!! Thank you so so much for being my first matchup! For me, I decide characters based off who is most similar to you, then reversing the role and going for the exact opposite + making sure that it matches your personality based on the information I’ve been given. Also, thank you so much for basically matching the exact format I was looking for in a matchup <3
So, with that, I matched you with Rin Itoshi!
What did it for me, was the second part you sent in where you described yourself as ‘childish when you want to be, and that it’s terribly easy to make you smile or laugh’. I feel like Rin is easily misconstrued as a rude and unlikable person, but he wasn’t always like that; and I like to think that once he gets over this whole rivalry, he’ll most likely soften up again.

I think you and Rin would definitely bond over these types of things. The two of you would suggest things to each other and watch them in your spare time, or together. You’d tell him about a new film of sorts that is coming out, and he’ll tell you he somehow already has free  tickets to go see it. He comes off as the sort of person who doesn’t really care much for others, but still puts effort into the things he notices you enjoy.

Adding a colour that best represents you was super useful, as I think people can easily be matched to colours based off their personalities, and in this case, I think Rin would also be matched to the same kind of colour. This kind of colour can signify clarity, and open expression of your feelings. Although you and Rin may come off as guarded, I think he’d see parts of himself in someone like you, and it may help him strive for a change. Funnily enough it’s kind of poetic.
Your old-type interests and reserved nature (correct me if I’m wrong) would add to the maturity in a person that I personally think Rin likes to see. You two would really get along as your personalities don’t clash but are not the exact same in that regard. Rin would tell you about his worries and vent to you about things that he wouldn’t feel comfortable telling anyone else. In terms of a school setting, the two of you would walk to and home from school, stopping on the way to sit at a café and work on homework, or at a mini shop selling pricey stationery trinkets, books, pens, markers, journals and the like. Something would catch your eye, but you’d decide against it because you can’t afford to splurge right now. 
The next day you’d walk into school and find it in your locker, covered in baby blue gift wrapping and tied together with a shiny black bow. A tag hangs off the edge of the bow with his name written in a pretty font.

Just as I think he would vent to you; he’d also be there for your little analyses sessions. He’d maybe even agree with some of the things you say and tell you not to worry about bothering him with your talks. He’d listen to you speak and nod or murmur in agreeance here or there, opting to stay silent and only listen to you speak over talking himself.
Rin would value you as a reliable person who’s feelings he could never bring himself to hurt. Even if he’s cold at times, and seemingly wouldn’t want to talk to anybody at all, he keeps it at bay when it comes to you as he wouldn’t even want to imagine hurting your feelings. You’ve been there for him when he really needed it, and he wants to do the same for you.

Meredith's Personal Top 5 All Time Kinky Fantasies
*The following 5 items are fantasies of mine that I think about all the time. They frequently pop into my head, with persons, settings, and other details changing but the general concept remaining the same.
*Keep in mind that these are all fantasies I have yet to do IRL, and would like to do them someday in my personal life. Note, fantasies that I have had the privilege of doing already do not qualify for this list.
5. Getting Locked in a Dog Cage

To me, there is just something so hot about being tied up and locked in a cage like I'm being put away like some kind of object. There is something poetic about having both rope and steel to keep me in place because in truth only one is needed. Its overkill, but I like it.
I want the open room I'm in to become distant looking beyond the bars in my now small footprint. I want to be ignored and walked passed while my superior gets ready, then proceeds to leave the house for a couple of hours; leaving me with just my thoughts.

Alternatively the cage can become sort of a display case for me, where I become like a piece art to be looked at or to be mocked and photographed like some kind of exotic zoo animal.
I do also like the idea of personalized cages, with blankets, stuffiess, and string lights but not as much as the other two examples. Though a cute sign/name plate centered on it would be adorable.
4. Being Tied to a Tree

Ok, so being a damsel in distress thats tied to a tree may be one of the biggest bindage clichés there is out there, but I adore this one. Much like the previous fantasy, I'd love to find myself bound and gaged to a tree and left all alone for a couple of hours. The light threat of discovery of being outdoors just adds that extra thrill.
I want to experience that feeling of my hands being stuck around a trunk while watching my captor walk away with only the sounds of the woods around me. I wonder what I'd think about after being their for an hour, two hours... then what kind of reaction will I have when they come back. What kind of things will I have do in order to be untied... Fun possibilities.

This has to be one of my first fantasies ever. Since I was young I was attracted to the idea of being tied to a tree, before I even knew why yet. I have even practiced some self bondage where I cuffed myself to a tree on seperate occasions but that is a tale for another day or post.
3. Foot Worship on a Park Bench

Ever since I've gotten into female feet in addition to male feet, photo sets and videos of feet and foot worship on a park bench seem like they are everywhere. Again, that outdoor threat of exposure thrill comes into play. Plus it could be fun just to see how many places to do it at before we're ever caught or soon.
I like the symbolism of the person taking up the entire bench while I'm kneeling on the ground. Their feet at the edge of the seat casually keeping an eye out for a jogger or dog walker while I get busy worshipping.

This dynamic is also fun to me with the roles switched, but I think it would be more fun to watch us get caught in this instance and see people's reactions to me having my feet licked. I feel like I'd be petrified while the other person couldn't care less about being watched.
2. Being a Maid Service Sub

Ever hear that question "What would you make me do if I were your slave for a week?" Once you get past all of the sexual and kink stuff, at some point, everyone would give out some form of housework either in one form or another. The focus here is the core of this fantasy for me.
I've always loved the idea of being a service sub. It's so sneakily achievable by acting helping and asking others if there are things you can do for them. Personally I love being a people pleaser on both a social and sexual level, and being told what to do and how to do it is a true turn on for me.

Factor in a maid uniform and it just completes the picture. I out myself clearly as "the help" in addition to becoming a piece of eye candy. Yes I want you to look up my dress as I bend over to clean something, I wonder what the neighbors will think as they catch a glimpse of me moving the trash cans, or what the delivery driver will react when I answer the door.

Mix in kinky tasks in addition to house chores and the fantasy comes full circle for me. It's just another format of being dominated by others. Maybe it begins innocently with me coming over a couple of times a week to help out, and it flourishes from there; I want to see what happens.

To anyone familiar with me or my blog this should really be no surprise. To be a personal tickle toy to a cute couple sounds like more fun than I know how to handle. I love the dynamic of being shared between a man and a woman, and used as an outlet for their emotions as well as a key factor in their foreplay.

VETTEL DRIVES THE LAFERRARI APERTA

Let’s be honest, I didn’t exactly jump for joy when they told me I’d have to stay on an extra day in Montmeló to shoot a video for the new car Ferrari was launching at the Paris Motor Show. I know, I know, some of you will wonder exactly what I had to complain about. And you’d be right. But, in my defence, we’d had the Italian Grand Prix the previous weekend, which is always a big deal for Ferrari. I’d also been tyre-testing on the track at Barcelona, and then I was scheduled to leave for the Ferrari Racing Days at Hockenheim. After that, I’d be flying out to Singapore with the rest of the team for the 15th grand prix in the Formula One World Championship. Basically, I had a string of commitments that involved a lot of travel and very little rest.

However, that all changed when I got to the track and saw the car in the flesh. This was the first time I’d got up close to the new LaFerrari Aperta. I’d driven the LaFerrari several times, of course. In fact, just after I first arrived at Maranello, I was lucky enough to drive the extraordinary FXX K around Fiorano [TOFM, issue 28].

Some of you may even remember that I was so blown away when I’d finished, all I could say was ‘Mamma Mia!’ But I’d only seen photographs of the Aperta, so seeing it right there in front of me, I felt a thrill. Plus it was red, which I like because I prefer classic colours and configurations when it comes to Ferraris. To begin with, however, I really had to hold myself back. And I really had to hold the car back too.

In the first phase of the shoot, the Ferrari’s exterior was covered in video cameras, which were only held in place by suckers, so the technicians had to keep reminding me not to exceed 100km/h or they could fly off. That was tough. Put yourself in my shoes: being out on the track means speed to me. There’s no point in being out there if you’re not really opening it up. So this was torture. I had to lift my foot off the accelerator every time I saw the speedometer getting to 120-130km/h. I finally got to floor it in the second part of the shoot when the video cameras were removed and I just had a vehicle with a camera on a Russian arm [a purpose-built piece of hardware mounted on the back of an SUV for high-speed tracking shots] driving beside me. That’s when I really got to let rip. Driving that fast in an open car is just incredible! The sound of that big 12-cylinder engine was music to my ears. The regular car is sensational enough, but with the roof panel removed it’s an even more intense and emotional experience. Like the coupé version, the Aperta has all the power of an F1 car, but the electronic differential makes it much easier to control the oversteer. It’s a spectacular supercar with incredible acceleration and excellent handling.

In a car with this much power you need to have total confidence in the chassis, to be in perfect tune with its responses. The LaFerrari Aperta uses all the latest technology to do that, but I found the steering to be precise and the car perfectly balanced. Initially I put it in Race mode but it wasn’t long before I deactivated the stability control using the Manettino and unleashed all 963 horses! It was fantastic, a true driver’s car. To use one of the first Italian expressions I ever learnt: Che figata! [So cool!] It’s not very poetic but it gets the message across. I suppose you want to know how fast I went, but I swore I wouldn’t say. However, just pull a nice big number out of the air and add a bit on top, then you’ll have an idea. So that’s the story of a very special day for me. I got to do a job I’m not used to – acting – but I also got to do what I do best and love most: driving on a circuit. And all in the LaFerrari Aperta, an absolutely fantastic car. I’m a lucky guy.

The worst thing about summers in the restaurant wasn’t the heat; it wasn’t the fact that the walk-in went down once a week as a rule; it wasn’t even the fact that half the staff decided they just didn’t work from May til August. No, the worst thing about the summers was the complete inconsistency.
Greyson wiped flop-sweat from his forehead and swore in relief as he stabbed the final ticket of the evening. It was the week of fourth of July, a historically slow one for them, but for some ungodly reason this year it had been absolutely slammed every night. He and Elijah had both given their counterparts the week off for vacation, thinking they’d be standing around with their thumbs up their asses; instead, the two of them had panted their way through the past three evenings, wondering how the hell they were going to get through the next three.
It was bad enough that they were down two guys and unusually busy; to add insult to injury they had both walked in that morning prepared to deliver more bad news to one another.
Elijah was already seated at his computer when Greyson slogged through the kitchen towards the office, coughing into his elbow all the way. Nothing was worse than a summer cold, he’d decided on the train ride here. At least in the winter you could burrow under blankets, drink tea, eat soup… summer essentially told you to shove all those ideas up your ass and just sweat and sneeze til you keeled over.
“Liiiij,” Greyson moaned, tossing his backpack on the ground and collapsing into his chair. Elijah was turned towards the wall, digging through a drawer on his side of the desk, seemingly unfazed by Greyson’s theatrics. “Lij, I’m -”
“HGTSHHH-ue! HTSHHH-ue!” Elijah folded over the open drawer, arms over his face as two sneezes wrenched out of him. He sniffled, sat up and turned to face Greyson, whose heart dropped when he saw his boss’s face.
“Oh, fuck,” Elijah rasped before Greyson could say anything. “You’re shiverigg.” Greyson wrapped his arms around himself and shook his head.
“Ndo I’m ndot,” he said, congestion seeping into his voice. He tried sniffing it back while Elijah grabbed a tissue from the box between them. “You sound like absolute hell.”
“Mmm. Right back at ya,” Elijah said from behind the tissue. Greyson rolled his eyes.
“I’m ndot sick,” he said, an attempt to keep from stressing the GM out even further. Elijah just raised an eyebrow and tossed the tissue in the overflowing trashcan.
“We really gonna play that gambe?” Elijah asked, coughing into his fist. “Personally, I don’t have the energy for it.”
“I – HNGSTHH-ue!” Greyson twisted into his elbow to haphazardly cover a sudden sneeze, prompting a dark laugh from his boss. “Finde,” Greyson said, clearing his throat and wiping his nose on his jacket sleeve. “Fuck. The timing is ndearly poetic.”
Elijah hummed in agreement, and the two of them sat in exhausted silence – punctuated only by sniffles and coughs – until the hostess rapped on the open door. She winced when both men turned sluggishly towards her.
“Um,” the hostess said, “Elijah, there’s a concierge from the Plaza on the phone. She’s wondering if we have room for a twelve-top tonight, all high-level executives. I know we’re pretty busy already, but…” she trailed off as Greyson groaned and Elijah coughed towards the wall.
“Go ahead and put her through to the office phonde,” Elijah said, attempting to clear his throat. “I’ll find a place for themb.”
The hostess brightened and nodded. “Will do,” she said, breezing out of the kitchen. Greyson turned to Elijah, his look one of pure exhaustion.
“This is so fucked,” he moaned. “God, fuck, I dond’t have timbe for this fuckigg -”
“GTSHHZH-ue!” Elijah cut him off with a massive sneeze and a volley of coughs caught in his sleeve. “This fuckigg cold,” he finished for the chef, each man giving the other a watery, tired smirk. The phone rang then, and Greyson stood to put his chef’s coat on while Elijah blew his nose in vain.
“Let’s get this bag, or what-the-fuck ever,” Greyson mumbled, heading towards the prep table. Elijah managed another wheezing laugh before he picked up the phone and spoke as clearly as he was able.
“Thandk you for holding. This is Elijah, how mbay I assist you?”

A bit more about a Five’s defenses:
Fives defend themselves by compartmentalizing – keeping the different parts of their experience discreetly grouped into separate categories. It’s like having an inner library where you classify your feelings, relationships and reactions and store them on different shelves. Fives keep their experience partitioned in order to feel both safe and in control.
A Five who joked that she has “successfully avoided therapy,” says that she visualizes her overbearing mother trapped in a black metal box. She explains that her mother “in quantum theory terms, is both dead and alive at the same time – as long as the box is closed. And I have no desire to open it but occasionally she pops out of the box and I have to stuff her back in. The day she pops out and I can't stuff her back in, that's the day I'll seek therapy.”
Asked how he handled the stress inherent in devising new ways for people to kill each other, a Five designer of high-tech weapons replied that he never considered his job in those terms. He simply focused on and enjoyed the technical challenge that each new device presented, never thinking beyond that. Another Five, a robotics engineer, adds: “I know I’m creating something that will one day take over and kill my grandchildren. But it’s just so cool.”
An American Five who speaks fluent Japanese and writes poetry in both English and Japanese says that the key to his poetic ability comes from being outside of both languages: “There are two huge rooms in my head, the Japanese room and the English room. In the hallway connecting them I discovered another space filled with just ‘stuff’ and ‘things.’ It’s a room without language.”
Some Fives compartmentalize by role-playing: “I put on a costume and play a role for my domineering mother. As long as I don’t have to see her very often it’s ok.” Another Five, a singer-songwriter, sends “the part of me that has stage fright over to the side of the stage. Then I sing from the part of me who’s a real ham.”
Another way that Fives compartmentalize is by contextualizing – by thinking so relatively about situations and events that holding a firm position becomes impossible. While Fives can be non-judgmental and tolerant of ambiguity, they may also use this as a defense, for example, by rationalizing away their feelings to avoid taking action. A Five who decided to go into business with a violent, unhealthy Eight was repeatedly warned about the Eight’s aggressive character. The Five’s consistent reply was, “He may be violent sometimes but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad person.” The Five later regretted the decision and spent large sums of money extricating himself from the business partnership.
As is true for other Enneagram styles, a Five’s personality defenses can also function as a resource. Compartmentalizing helps Fives integrate what they learn. As one Five says, “Sometimes new information comes in fast, but eventually I sort it out. It’s confusing for a while but I like to organize it. When I finally get the information into categories then it doesn’t overwhelm me.”

1. How many works do you have on AO3?
So with all the anon ones included it's 48
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

3. What fandoms do you write for?
There are a lot I’m still anon in, but right now it’s mostly the Sandman :)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Baiting the Trap is the only one I can reveal but Deliverance is also very high on the list.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do! At first I was far too shy but now I always try to respond to everyone. Sometimes I spend weeks thinking of what to say in response, or just feeling so so happy I want to give an intelligent reply. I just really want to set aside the time to go through and properly reply y’know? But then it’s like a month (or more) later and I feel terrible for not letting this person know how much their words mean to me, but I always try and respond eventually.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I’m not really a fan of ending my fics on angst, there’s a perfectionist part of me that is like ‘that’s not an ending that’s the middle of an arc’. Not that I think all endings need to be happy! I just think that I personally don’t find a resolution in it. Though now I think about it In Silence was pretty open ended, bittersweet but more bitter leaning I think.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably one I’m still anon for, but out of the one’s I’m not I think it’s actually pretty even. I’d say the ending of Deliverance is probably going to be the answer to this question though when I get around to posting it.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Thankfully no! I’ve been very lucky to not have received hate
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I am new to smut, but I suppose my kind is the sort that somehow manages to add an improbable amount of plot.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I have not! While I used to absolutely adore reading them I’ve not written any :)
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope! Hopefully I never will because it really doesn’t seem pleasant.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! And I don’t think I’ll ever get over it because the first time someone asked it honestly blew my mind.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I’ve co-written outside of fandom, but never co-written a fic within it. I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed—I love collaborating on little scenarios on tumblr, it makes me so happy!—but my writing habits are weird and probably off-putting. The brain writes what it wants, usually out of order, and I’d not want to stress anyone out with how inconsistently I write things.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I’m going to have to be boring and say I don’t have one…but it’s honestly the truth. Corintheus is obviously very very special to me, but it’s a favourite without excluding other favourites. If that makes sense?
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
At the moment nothing :) I may be behind on where I wanted to be but as long as I want to write the fic I will finish it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think I’m pretty good at characterisation, and how different characters might interact/conflict with each other. It’s usually easy for me to get into the head of who I’m writing. Maybe also unusual descriptions? I do like making them as vivid as possible, as lyrical and poetic as I want, but I also like to come up with something a bit unexpected.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I struggle with finishing fics sometimes, especially if they are multichaptered. I think within sandman I struggle with certain in universe details of things I don’t know because I haven’t read the comics. I’m not really reading ahead of the show, but there’s some things I will dig into so I have the detail I need.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
If I was going to do it I’d probably try and find a native speaker, or do a ton of research. Not against it by any means but I think it depends on the scenario. I just wouldn’t want a reader to come across me butchering their language and just be completely taken out of the fic haha.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Ooh. Erm. I’m not sure. Sandman is the first I’ve not been anon for :)
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
This is such an evil question because how can I choose? Baiting the Trap is up there for sure (the whole series is really), but there’s also another fic I’m anon for that I love. Deliverance too. My self-indulgent Cat Dream fic. A slow advancing tide has definitely shot to near the top recently. Honestly it might be more apt to say that when I post a fic my general feeling is usually something like ‘this is my favourite fic I’ve ever written’. Though sometimes it’s for prose too. I’ve written paragraphs/lines and been like wow this is my favourite line ever.

Less horrific consequences than in canon, but this IS a noble failure narrative, one which, fittingly enough, pivots nimbly around a pastiche of Britishness and features the futility of attempting to reason with Sir John Franklin.

Maybe the real noble failure narrative was the delirious, calcifying regrets that haunted us along the way. I think there are deeper reasons this fic relates to the theme, but it would be a disservice to its understated angst for me to try and drag it all out and dissect it here.

Crozier has weird psychic powers like in the book, but good. This fic is basically just him lying there and unwillingly astral projecting into Hickey’s sex memories but he is very Protestant about it, somehow.

"Nonverbal 🌌🌹💜 love language" garnered the most interest (and not just by me, to my surprise!) So...! Guess I'll be writing a little something on that one.~
⚠️ 🌌��💜 content below the cut!
One of my favorite things about these two is how complicated they are. On average, they are not personally forthcoming in the slightest; one is a fantastic liar, one is a master at withholding information, neither wears their heart on their sleeve. In that regard, nonverbal communication can be key to seeing connections between them.
There are likely a number of things I could list here, but I'll list the most 🌌🌹💜 ones of all. I might return to this if I think of some things I possibly missed, though! 🐌
🪷 Eye contact speaks volumes. This applies to both of them in their own way, though, Sal is known for her rather finicky and fleeting eye contact. Between these two, it is often a "game" of Kuja being the one to lend his gaze and Sal being willing to meet it. However, this lends itself to the "magic" that is not only making eye contact, but holding it. On the rare occasion Sal initiates the eye contact, it can prove all the more "magical." 🤍
🪷 Their hands tell stories. Even in a relationship (of any kind, as well) Sal can still be distant when it comes to touch. Which is what makes things like hand-to-hand contact so impactful, for these two. Like the eyes, to Sal, the hands are a source of both power and vulnerability. Everything tells a story, if you "listen" closely enough - and hands tell quite a few.

Though they are not the type to hold hands, there are those ephemeral moments where they may meet. Like stolen glances, like brief moments where the world seems to slow. In truth, it is only in more intimate moments that they may truly hold hands (outside of exceptions such as dance configurations and things that may require it.) Primarily, it is a subconscious act; something done while lost in a daze, in sleep or in the thick of... um... 🔞🫦😏
🪷 Music moves them. This is especially apparent in the "Modern AU" as well as the "Phantom Of The Opera AU." There is a lot of communication within artistry, for these two - compositions inspired by the other, knowingly or not. There are songs they have co-written, some that they have proudly performed for the public - their stories open to interpretation - and others they may never share with the rest of the world... 🎼🌹
🪷 Words do too. This one was debatable to add... haha! Writing is something they also both do - Sal, a thoughtful journal writer, manifesting haunting song lyrics on occasion while Kuja infamously waxes poetic in many a pretty and pretentious shade - but... would it be considered verbal, in a way? For what it's worth, verbal or not, the introspective notes and "almost-love-letters" are very 🌌🌹💜 brand too. Definitely coincides with their complex natures. Written words from either of them have more of a depth and openness to them that many of their spoken ones may lack - at least, earlier on. 💌
🪷 They see eye-to-eye through unseen advances. (Paradoxically.) Full disclosure: more or less, these two like to sneak up on each other! Kind of. See, sometimes, affections come easier to give for them when the other has their back turned. (Again, it's complicated.) This walks hand in hand with various forms of indirect communication being a potent thing between them, though. Essentially, affections given with the full attention of the other placed upon them - especially eye contact - are often more timid; that attention can sometimes prove intimidating! More so to Sal than Kuja, of course, but this does apply to both of them for their own respective reasons! These advances are given form through embraces from behind, kisses on the shoulder or neck, tending to or playing with each other's hair and things of the like. Even earlier on, the two can be seen conversing like this, often with their backs turned to one another - the humble beginnings of things to come, in a way! 💜

Vs. the U-Foes! Special guest appearance by the pouncing PUMA!
Look at the roster box trying to pretend Reed and Sue are still around. You can't fool me.
And, hey, the U-Foes! They're a quirky miniboss squad that hasn't fought the Avengers so far, at least not in the Avengers book. Which feels weird!
The Avengers should fight all the quirky miniboss squads. They're practically made to fight all the quirky miniboss squads.
Well, now they get to fight this one.
And Puma is a guy. I don't really know the guy. He's a mid-80s Spider-Man book guy.
Also also, this is very clearly a fill-in issue. I mean, so was the Super-Nova arc. But that had the goal of writing Reed and Sue out of the Avengers, which it couldn't even manage.
This one seems to be more in the style of one and done, spin the wheels until John Byrne takes over.
... That's happening a lot lately.
Last times in Avengers: long story short, the team broke apart but a new team formed during the X-Event Inferno. And then after fighting a big guy from space, 2/5ths of the new team fucked off.
This is a fill-in, you don't gotta know a lot.

Huh. The opening splash waxes poetic about Ellis Island and the title is a line from the New Colossus poem that was written for the Statue of Liberty.
Will this be a Very Special Episode about immigration? I'm sorta not confident in this era of Avengers to do a Very Special Episode.
Least surprisingly of all, the terrific trio of Avengers are at Ellis Island because it's being renovated and a Department of the Interior pal got Captain America permission for a special preview visit.
Steve Rogers is, of course, a huge fan of Ellis Island and immigration and just all the good America stuff. He loves America so much.
And being a huge nerd, he invited Thor and Gilgamesh along as a kind of casual relaxing activity after all that Super-Nova biz.
Thor: "I, myself, Steve, am an immigrant of sorts -- from eternal Asgard. I share much in spirit with those who passed through here."
Dammit, Thor. I don't think your situation is really the same since you retain whatever counts as citizenship in Asgard and freely go back and forth whenever you want to live in a giant castle.
Also, you have a fake identity set up by the American intelligence community which most immigrants don't get.
Gilgamesh calls Ellis Island meager compared to the cool architecture that the Eternals are used to. But adds "there is an aura of greatness all about" which may or may not have just been to cushion the insult.
While the heroes in civilian duds wander around and look at construction, they overhear one of the workmen muttering anti-immigrant sentiments to himself.
Charles Little Sky: "'Noble immigrants.' Hah! Nobody wants to admit the real truth."
Oh, no, we are in for a Very Special Episode.
Captain America being Captain America even when he's being Steve Rogers, decides this is an invitation to a conversation and asks the guy to elaborate on his thoughts.
Charles Little Sky: "Yeah, I've got a beef, mister, why shouldn't I? I'm an American Indian!" Thor, in glasses: "And...?" Charles Little Sky: "And my people were here long before anybody. These 'immigrants' who came through here were just another group to come and take my people's land... Just like foreigners, starting with the Mayflower, have always done! This place should be called the Museum of Theft!" Captain Steve: "I understand your bitterness, son. Injustice was done to your people. But those who came through here certainly weren't to blame. They were just looking for a refuge from poverty and oppression themselves."
Captain America makes bold stand: pilgrims bad, immigrants good.
I hope the Avengers don't just bother this dude all day.
Thor, in glasses, asks why Charles works here if he hates it so much but, c'mon, everybody needs to eat and not everyone has a palace in a magical sky realm or gets paid $1000 smackeroos a week by Tony Stark.
Charles also mentions that he can't afford to be choosy about jobs that don't ask a lot of questions. Then realizes he's oversharing with strangers and just teal deers it as he needs the job and he's gone once he has enough money saved up.
Then he spots HIM! He's been found by HIM!
And runs off, to the Avengers' confusion.
Then a sharp-dressed man in a bolo tie tells them its none of their business, stay out of it, and yells for Charles to stop running away because he means him no harm.
Then the man transforms into some kind of furry and chases after Charles.

Pretty much guaranteeing the Avengers are going to get involved after all. Because a dude turned into a furry right there in Ellis Island and chased after a terrified young adult.
Also, the dude is Thomas Fireheart, aka Puma.
But do the Avengers know that?
Yes. And they don't know if Puma is a hero or a threat or a menace. So definitely decide to get involved.
Thor slams his hammer to put on his working duds while Cap duck behind something to change his clothes.
He shouts at Puma to hey maybe explain what he's up to. And since Puma ignores him, Thor throws his mighty hammer. And when Thor throws his mighty hammer, its because he's done with the yammer. Or something.
Since Thor wasn't throwing at 'turn Puma into salsa' force, the cat man is able to jump over the hammer and yell that Thor better not delay him!
That's not an explaining himself though so Captain America throws his mighty shield. But instead of yield, Puma catches the shield and throws it back.
What a jerk!
Gilgamesh, who I guess hasn't decided whether he's going to get involved or not because he's just standing around, jumps in front of the shield so nobody else less tough gets hit by it. And Cap catches it when it bounces off Gilgamesh's gilgapecs.
With this exchange of violence exchanged, Cap asks Puma again to explain things.
Since Thor and Captain America are standing in his way, he actually does.
Puma: "The youth and I are both of the same tribe. He possesses great power -- power that could unleash itself at any time! My uncle -- our tribal shaman -- realized this. He sent me to retrieve Charles, so that he could be trained in the power's use... for his own -- and for the world's -- good."
See, was that so hard?
The two Avengers happened to catch Puma right when he was like five feet from catching Charles Little Sky because the young adult is just right there. In the scene.
He insists that he doesn't have powers, that the elders are just making shit up to prevent him from leaving the tribe.
And sure, he has headaches sometimes and they make him act weird sometimes but that doesn't mean he has powers!
Thor and Cap pause to ponder this. Charles Little Sky is clearly hiding something. And Puma is a dubious source because while he very heroically fought the Beyonder once, he's also a mercenary who has worked for some shady customers.
But while Thor and Cap ponder what to do, Puma makes the decision, in his mind a tough decision but for the greater good, to escalate the conflict and endanger by-standers. Rather than risk the Avengers deciding against him.
So he rushes off (while Thor and Cap just watch) and topples one of the tall scaffolding towards a crowd.
Sure that the Avengers will jump to deal with that and backburner him. Which they do. Good job saving lives, the heroes!
Thor wind-blasts the scaffolding toward Gilgamesh, who catches it. Cap ushers civilians towards the exit.
Leaving Puma free to pounce on Charles Little Sky.
Puma again states that he's just here to be a helpful helper man but Charles says crock to that. He tries to punch Puma but only hurts his own hand.
Apparently, breaking a knuckle punching a cat man is one of the triggers for Charles' great world-threatening power.
Light and kirby crackle burst out of Charles and he feels as if he's being torn apart.
Then, he's blasted back as a rift in space opens.

And out of the rift in space-time strolls the U-Foes!
Not a surprise, since they were on the cover, but hey! The plot is here!
Real quick: The U-Foes. They're like an evil Fantastic Four. In that there's four of them and they got their powers from cosmic rays. By explicitly copying the Fantastic Four's space trip. Two of them are even siblings. Do these guys fight the FF a lot because they're a better evil opposites than the Frightful Four.
Vector: the one with all the lines and suns on his design. He has telekinesis, which often manifests as repulsing lasers.
Vapor: she's a gas lady, made of gas. She can turn into any kind of gas.
X-Ray: he's pink and looks like a really weird bunch of perspective lines. A guy made out of energy. Can blast various kinds of heavy radiation.
Ironclad: big tough guy made of mineral. He's a pretty blatant the Thing or a Colossus but he can increase or decrease his weight so he's at least got that going on.
So, why did the U-Foes pop out of a portal?
Why, the power of retcons and a shared universe!
Sometimes, a book writes out a character. Has them die or depowers them or just puts them in a situation where they're not available.
And then another book will go "and here's how they got out of that one."
It can be interesting to trace a character through various books, trying to figure out what the hell has been going on with them.
In the U-Foes' case, the Hulk trapped them in different dimensions that counteracted their powers. And possibly killed them.
But they all survived and managed to assemble in the dimensional crossroads to luckily get brought back to Earth by one random portal.
Nothing like a classic contrived comic coincidence.
Anyway, having just gotten back from tailor-made space exile/death, Vector is quite enraged when the Avengers propose to just capture the U-Foes and send them to jail, for being dicks.
Vector blasts Thor, Gilgamesh (still just in his civvies) Captain America, Puma, and Charles Little Sky outside through a window.
Puma is worried because he heard from TV news that the U-Foes were powerful enough to knock around the Hulk. They might kill the Avengers and any civilian in their way!
Buuuuut... he is only here for Charles Little Sky. Opening a random portal that random supervillains fell out of proved to Puma that portal kid is the biggest threat.
Maybe he should just let the U-Foes kill the Avengers!
Is his thought process.
Dammit, Puma.
Anyway, Thor tells the U-Foes that they brought the inevitable beat-down on themselves by blasting him through a window.
So X-Ray blasts Thor. Ironclad slugs Gilgamesh, figuring that if he's hanging out with the Avengers, he's probably one. And Vector blasts Captain America.
Puma goes wow sucks for them that they're getting their asses kicked but at least now nobody will get in my way.
Except Vector and Vapor notice him running away and decide, nah.
The U-Foes have deduced that Charles Little Sky could portal them back to the dimensional crossroads so they need to do something about him. And that means getting him before Puma can.
Vapor turns into carbon monoxide and gives Puma carbon monoxide poisoning.
Vector tells Vapor to turn to chlorine gas and just murderify Charles Little Sky.
Puma belatedly realizes that the better idea would have been to team up with the Avengers to beat the U-Foes. Womp womp.
He decides he needs to buy time for the Avengers to recover from their asses getting beat by getting his own ass beat for a while.
Puma tries to jump between Charles and Vapor.
... But she's gas. How does that work? I mean, it doesn't, in this case. But that's because Ironclad shows up and starts trying to bear-hug him to death.
Then Ironclad get's KLONG! by Mjolnir slightly before Puma gets crushed to death.

It's Thor! Turns out one blast of radiation isn't enough to put him down, obviously.
And he whirls Mjolnir really fast to blow Vapor away from the unconscious Charles Little Sky.
Charles regains consciousness to see X-Ray try to french fry him, only to be stopped by Captain America tackling him.
Even through (or around?) Captain America's mighty shield, he can feel the burn from the radiation X-Ray is putting off.
Vector decides he'll kill the kid himself but Puma jump kicks him towards Thor who clobbers him.

Charles is so freaked out by all of this that his powers start going off again, opening portals to random dimensions, some filled with aaaaaah, real monsters!
Gilgamesh deduces from earlier that Charles' powers don't work if he's unconscious so he eye beams Charles Little Sky unconscious.
Cool contribution, Gilgamesh.
Wait, you have eye beams?
Ironclad tries to throw a Big Rock on the again unconscious Charles Little Sky but Gilgamesh uses his eye beams again to blow up the Big Rock.
Ironclad decides fuck this actually and runs away off-panel.
Vector and X-Ray try to double-team Thor and they have him stalemated by blasting him full power. He can't advance but he's not retreating either.
But in secret, Thor is just face-tanking Vector's telekinesis blasts and using Mjolnir to absorb X-Ray's radiation. Not just the radiation X-Ray is blasting but all the radiation in his body. And when X-Ray passes out from too drained, Thor blasts the radiation at Vector who also falls down.
Possibly with turbo cancer now.
Puma's puma senses detect an invisible lethal gas floating towards Charles so Thor blasts the spot with lightning until Vapor passes out.
Ironclad is still running away

So Captain America trips him with his mighty shield and Gilgamesh decks him in the face BWOM!
With the U-Foes kicked firmly in the butt, Puma rerails the plot to him definitely taking Charles Little Sky back to the tribe.
Captain America says that Charles might be a mutant and there's just a bunch of mutant teams that could train him to control his powers. The tribe isn't the only place he could learn control.
Rather than drag him back against his will, Charles should be given the choice where he will go.
Puma: "And if he chooses no training? If he chooses to continue on the run? It is a danger to the world I cannot allow. Nor can I risk strangers training him incorrectly. Allow me to take him... or I will fight you to the death."
Gilgamesh points out that the death would be Puma's death. There's two god-tier dudes here. And Thor says that Charles will decide for himself.
Charles wakes up and he decides for himself to flee.
Puma tries to leap at Charles but Captain America tackles him.
Thor instead jumps in front of Charles to cut him off but Charles shouts that he's not anyone's property and he wants to be free.
IN A RANDOM DIMENSION IF HE CAN'T BE FREE ON EARTH.

Yeah, he fucks off through a portal.
Despite being a character created for a fill-in story, Charles Little Sky has a small pile of appearances.
Danny Fingeroth brings him back for a bunch of Darkhawk issues but he gets roles beyond that.
Puma: "Thor -- you fool! You've let a being of untold power get away! He could be anywhere now, hurting or being hurt, frightened, alone. Most probably, though, he'll soon be dead!"
Thor points a finger right back. Saying this all happened because Puma decided he was in far too much a rush to explain the situation to the random superhero bystanders.
That relentlessly chasing the kid is obviously what triggered his portal powers going off and letting the U-Foes come through and cause trouble.
Puma retorts that, hey, hindsight is 20-20 but he still thinks he did zero things wrong and that it's all the Avengers' fault.
Captain America says they only have Puma's word that his intentions were good and Puma has a really mixed reputation so it's really hard to take him at his word.
Thor suggests they beat up Puma and Puma fucks off through the broken window, yelling they'll have to catch him first.
Except, the Avengers don't even bother.
There's no charges against him and he eventually helped them against the supervillains.

Left behind to deal with sending the U-Foes to super jail, the Vault, Captain America muses how Charles Little Sky "who was so bitter about immigrants... ended up being, himself, an immigrant in a new dimension. And he entered it through Ellis Island."
That's really deep, Cap. Really makes you think, probably.
Thus ends a Very Special Episode of the Avengers.

Body Poetics Review
Writing about art is difficult. Especially when you live in a town that doesn't have much art, you work full time and you also can't drive. It makes me feel as though I am restricted to the amount of inspiration around me I can find, unfortunately Bournemouth pier just really isn't doing it for me anymore. I love to be on the move, I love to see new places, but I feel as though I am never going to find the place that I want to be settled into forever. Or the place I want to go to is going to be too expensive and that I may as well just flush that dream down the toilet. And did I mention that the cost of living crisis is also making it even harder to be able to go out and explore anymore, that is on the odd occasion that the trains are even running at the moment.
It feels as though I wait for the one gallery to open up their new exhibition before I wander in and end up reviewing every show that they do, except for Martin Parr. I really don't think there was much to say about his work other than it's pretty and they're of beaches. This show, also presented by the wonderful Giant gallery, is called Body Poetics. I was reluctant to go to this show at first, and you want to know the real reason why I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it? It was because I hated the main piece that is advertised on all of the posters of the show, at first glance it essentially just looks like a furry wearing a winter outfit, I hate it. I'm not judging people who say it's their thing, but it really just isn't for me. I decided to give the show a chance anyway, though I had no idea what I was going to ultimately end up saying about it.
The show has been curated by a group of 9 different female artists from across the world. Most of the deeper meaning behind these works is feminist theory from the 70s and 80s and all of these works available to feast your eyes on are made from the 70s and onwards. The works also feature many contemporary values to what it means to be a feminist.

Upon general entry into the gallery, one of the first things I saw was Carolee Schneemann's Eye Body works. It features the idea of the social construction of the female / femme or queer body. The selection of works on the wall all featured different positionings of the body surrounded by materials; all of which discussed pain, suffering, political protest as well as joy and sexual expression. I for one was a huge fan of the collection of images on the wall, there are 4 different images. This one in particular is my favourite because it reminds me of a still you would see from a horror movie in the 60s. The way in which to see an image like this in the 60s would be terrifying, enough to make the film only available for an adult audience. I think it's visually fantastic and perhaps one of the stronger pieces from the show in my eyes, this is purely based around the fact there is little to no photography featured in the show and although I love art from every medium, I still feel as though I am drawn to photography the most.

This piece is Rite of Spring by Florence Peake. Her collection of works also feature the same themes as Schneemann when it comes to female / femme and queer attitudes of representation. I loved this piece from all of the colours it contained as well as the texture of it. I am obsessed with textures that have been edited as the piece has been curated overtime and think it really adds an extra depth of field to it. However, and this is not down to the artist, but rather the gallery. When I posted an image of this on my Instagram story a few days ago, I actually managed to tag the wrong artist in the post. This is due to the signs of the works being very unclear in the work. The list talks about two artists body of works, one being hers, but the sign simply named the work and wrote (opposite) on it while also displaying another list of works near the piece itself. It made the show very difficult to navigate and I apologise to Peake for giving another artist credit for the work.

The work above is Untitled (Hands Waving) by Kiki Smith. I feel like this work stuck out to me in the gallery space because it feels very simple in comparison to a lot of the complex works I saw in there; and sometimes it makes me feel bad because I don't look at everything in the space and immediately know what the deeper meaning behind the work is. This is a piece that I feel like I could stand there and look at for quite some time, it stuck out on the back wall full of eccentric colours and deep meanings, but this piece made me just want to wave back at her. I want to feel what she feels here. I love the focus on the hands, I think people can forget how expressive hands can be. How important they are, I don't want to sound fake deep and be like we take them for granted, but I do feel as though we forget how much we actually can do with them.
I think that Kiki Smith's work was some of my favourite pieces on show in the gallery. The other piece is a ceiling to floor length tapestry with star constellations and crescent moons titled Visitor (Stars, multiple crescent moons). In a way, I feel as though both pieces of work she displayed in the gallery really interlink with each other in opposing ways. The pieces all feel simple, with their matching colour schemes and dainty details all visible to the eye from afar. This piece in particular feels very feminine, the glitter, the stars in general, and like I said before the dainty details. It adds a whole new level of feminism to a piece of work without being an in your face piece of 'this is feminism'

TW: the pieces I hated the most in the gallery.
I was complaining on my story when I saw the show that I was so upset that they chose to use this model as the poster image for the show because every piece of work I saw in the gallery was so much better than this. Perhaps it's harsh to say this, but I feel as though this set of work felt like a whole waste of space, but I just hate it. I really hate it. The work is by Ad Minoliti who is all about the use of abstract forms of art to explore social aspects of the body and gendered experience. I see it I really do, I just hate that they chose to display a full blown furry. Perhaps that was the point, for it to hold a discussion, to use something so bold on the poster to advertise the show that it made people feel something. Enough to come to the show to see what it looked like up close. Maybe I'm being closed minded when I look at this, but I will simply just be walking straight past it next time I come to the show. On the other hand, some of the canvas works submitted by the artists were bright, bold and super eye catching. These were works I enjoyed to look at a lot more.

This piece was the one I enjoyed the most by the artist. This is Queer Modulor and it slayed.

I gotta say though, this is the bad boy that stole the entire show for me. This sculpture slowly rotates in circles and is literally full of surprises. Not only do we get the sculpture, but there's also a fun accompanying drawing of it in the gallery (I'm really sorry I don't want to post every detail of this show, but I urge everyone to go to this). This piece is by Rae-Yen Song and is called happy little leaf.

Next up is Guerilla Girls with Birth of Feminism. The group are very well known for their loud and outspoken media to discuss issues with being a woman and so it only made sense for them to be apart of the show. The poster adds an extra level of overall comedy to the end project.

Holly Steveson
Overall, I think the show is really fun. There's a bunch of outstanding forms of media and installation works and it's so nice to see a big artist collaboration in the space, a space that works really well for the works they are exhibiting. The only thing is I feel there is not much discussion to have with all of the works, rather they are good pieces by good artists and that is all that is left to say on the matter.
