Can you rec buddie fics? Pretty please?
OMG it's my time to shine, bitches!!!
Sorry if I went a little nuts, but this fandom has some of the best writers I've ever seen. I have 186 Buddie fics bookmarked in my AO3,
I'll link here if you are interested in taking a look cause if I put them all here it would be too long. Also, I tried to show here some fics I very rarely see recced, and a little bit o the classics. This fandom has some very underrated authors, everyone in my bookmarks is worth taking a look really.
Please take a look at the warnings before reading, enjoy!!!
I Hate Accidents (Except When We Went From Friends to This) by morganofthefairies (Rated E )
Buck and Eddie had always been unconventional. Neither of them gave it much thought – they were just them. Buck and Eddie - partners, best friends, co-parents – just as entangled in each other’s lives as any actual couple in the 118.
Or, the story of how Buck and Eddie went about their relationship in entirely the wrong order.
My Heart's Been Borrowed by ElvenSorceress (Rated E)
aka the one where Taylor gives Buck his ultimate fantasy and uncovers far more than either of them expected, forcing him to confront his long held feelings for Eddie
Half Awake in Our Fake Empire by HMSLusitania (Rated E)
Buck 1.0 fathered a child and Buck 4.0 comes into custody.
Love and Bullets Both Shatter Hearts (But Only One Can Put You Back Together) (Rated E)
Agent [Redacted] Diaz is the best at what he does. Usually. But lately there's this real pain in the ass* who's been ruining his missions: Code Name "Buck."
Keep It On by R_E_R6 (Rated E)
When Eddie walks in on Buck, bent over in nothing but a hoodie, their plans for the night immediately change. Buck's outfit though? Well, Eddie requests that it stays the same...for reasons.
Heart of Flowers / Heart of Gold by ElvenSorceress (Rated T)
Buck nearly loses everything and Eddie has to follow his heart
hungry for your love by evcndiaz (Rated G)
prompt: "who’s gonna write a fanfic where chris is not cooperating with buck and eddie accidentally says “listen to your dad”?"
or; breadsticks are a metaphor for love and boning
keep your eyes on the road by iriswests (Rated M)
A glimpse into buck and eddie’s developing relationship, told through ten moments stopped at a traffic light
when things fall into place by woodchoc_magnum (Rated M)
In which Eddie asks Buck to move in with them during lockdown to help look after Christopher, which leads to certain unresolved feelings being resolved.
Carbon Date Me, Excavate Me by extasiswings, letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
Evan "Buck" Buckley has made a name for himself as the independent bad boy of archaeology. At least, until Professor Eddie Diaz shows up with his fedora and good looks and starts beating Buck to the punch more often than not.
Buck hates his stupid six-pack covered guts.
Except for how... he might not.
Objects in the Mirror by SevenSoulmates (Rated E)
The voice had always been around, Eddie remembers it, like a stream of consciousness that babbled incoherently to the point where Eddie just tuned it out.
But then the voice started speaking directly to him. Conversing like he was a whole person standing right in front of him. Like he could see what was happening around Eddie.
Eddie shook his head. No one was talking to him, and Eddie most certainly was not talking back.
He wouldn’t talk to the boy in his head ever again. There was no boy in his head.
ripples all the way down by iriswests (Rated M)
christopher partakes in some parent trapping
dream of some epiphany by extasiswings (Rated M)
Evan Buckley is lost.
It’s happenstance that he wanders into the navy recruiting center—he’s been in San Diego for a few weeks, bartending late nights and weekends, living in a house with three other guys not because he needs the roommates but because he doesn’t want to be alone, and the military is…respectable. Stable. So Buck thinks maybe and opens the door.
Buck leaves ten minutes later with a set of printed instructions for sending his first letter, assured that he can drop it off whenever he’s ready, and a name.
Staff Sergeant Edmundo “Eddie” Diaz.
Relationship Advice from Complete Strangers Online by HMSLusitania (Rated T)
Hi, I’ve never made a Reddit post before and I’m not 100% sure what I’m doing but I need advice and can’t ask anyone in my real life. So, I [30M] have this best friend [34M]…
Leading with the Left by letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
When Buck said he was a "bartender" in "South America" what he actually meant was "stripper" in "Mexico."
And when Eddie said, "What's your problem?" what he actually meant was, "Is this about the time you gave me a lap dance?"
In other words, there's a few things the 118 doesn't know about Buck. Or Eddie. Or Buck and Eddie's relationship.
fireflies where my caution should be by littlesnowpea (Rated M)
“You never talk about your parents,” Eddie says, which is not even remotely what Buck expects Eddie to say. He frowns, tilts his head, but it isn’t a question, as evidenced by Eddie charging on. “I never asked because I figured it was your business, but the look on your face any time they’re brought up tells me you don’t get along.”
Buck swallows hard, against a lump in his throat. His parents? Eddie’s right, he never talks about them, for good reason. He opens his mouth, then closes it again, not sure what he’s even going to say.
Eddie takes it as the answer Buck is trying to make it out to be. He squeezes Buck’s wrist again, takes a deep breath, like he’s on a call with someone who’s panicking. Buck finds his breathing slowing to match Eddie’s, and Eddie nods as Buck gets it under control.
“There are people on the porch,” Eddie says, voice even. “Saying they want to meet their grandchild.”
Asked, Offered, Given, (He's) Taken by letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
People like to flirt with Buck on calls. It kind of makes Buck uncomfortable.
And that makes Eddie frustrated.
I Hit the Accelerator (But the Car was in Reverse) by extasiswings, letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
When Buck is forced to confront the truth about his breakup with Abby, having casual sex with his hot new coworker seems like the best rebound idea.
Unfortunately, that hot new coworker turns into his best friend. But best friends can keep having sex with each other, right?
There's no way this could possibly go wrong.
Memorable by JessicaMDawn (Rated T)
Six times Buck got recognized by people he saved during the tsunami, and how his team realized he was a hero.
All Bets are Off by NobodyKnows_U (Not Rated)
Or, the five times the firefam realized Buck and Eddie were in love, and the one-time Eddie finally did something about it.
fire on fire by extasiswings (Rated T)
Or: Buck and Eddie get in the habit of sharing a bed while living together during quarantine. It's platonic until it isn't.
Better Together by Randomfandombloggs09 (Not Rated)
5 times Eddie sees Buck wearing his last name and 1 time its not just his
Daddy and Pops by EdithBlake (Rated M)
When Christopher calls Buck 'Pops' things get a bit confusing. Buck and Eddie have a talk with Christopher that ends up with both of them being even more confused by how right it sounds.
the meaning of the words you see by florenceandthemachine (Rated E)
unknown sender: Hi!

unknown sender: I’m Eddie by the way.

the dream you wish will come true by woodchoc_magnum (Rated M)
In which Christopher Diaz cannot understand why his father would want to date his former teacher when Evan Buckley is right there.
vienna waits for you by mottainai (Not Rated)
Eddie doesn't deserve a soulmate.
Work Husband by hideeho (Rated T)
“What...what have you done with Buck?” Eddie is going to kill him for messing with his phone. No, that’s too extreme. He’s going to maim him. Just a little.
“Check under H,” Chim offers helpfully, shooting a look over to Hen with a smirk.
Why the hell would he be under—
Then he sees it.
Husband.
Bad Neighbors by firstdegreefangirl (Rated E)
Eddie's new neighbors are keeping him up all night. He calls on his best friend for a little taste of their own medicine.
Cross the Line by Sirencalls (Rated E)
Eddie laughs, short and quiet and almost to himself. “No. If you want to learn, then I’m gonna be the one to teach you.”
Buck is pretty sure his brain stops working. “What? Why?”
Eddie turns to look at him and steps closer, their chests only a few inches apart. “Because there are people out there who will take advantage of how naïve you are. They’ll hurt you, and I won’t.” Eddie’s eyes are so intense that Buck doesn’t have any choice but to believe him. “If you want someone to do this for you, to—to dominate you, it has to be me. I don’t trust anyone else to do it right.”
pretty in pink by dykeevans (Rated E)
Buck forgets that he and Eddie made plans to hang out until Eddie shows up and Buck's in the middle of laundry day.
His laundry day outfit consists of a small pink crop top and grey sweatpants.
Eddie loses his damn mind. Me too, though, me too.
the distance to the stars by cloudydaisies (Rated G)
“Didn’t know you were seeing someone.”
Buck just laughs. Like, honest to god giggles. Eddie is stuck fighting off doubly massive waves of butterflies and confusion, all while Buck just gazes down at him.
“That’s cute,” he hears Buck mumble, just before climbing into the truck, calling Eddie after him.
-or, everyone knows eddie is dating buck except for eddie, literally.
Something Old, Something New by dumbhuman (Rated E)
“Damn, I love weddings!” Buck’s face lit up as he closed the door.
If asked later, Eddie wouldn’t have been able to explain what came over him in that moment to make him ask the question. Or, at least, he wouldn’t have wanted to explain. The exhaustion was an easy excuse, but he knew deep down that it wasn’t a real one.
“Why don’t you come with me?”
one of the few things by thatnerdemryn (Rated G)
five times that Eddie tells someone else that Buck is Christopher's legal guardian plus one time he finally tells Buck.
I Didn't Know I Was Lonely 'Til I Saw Your Face by HMSLusitania (Rated T)
Total strangers Buck and Eddie go to couple's therapy together to get out of the therapy requirements their captains have placed on them.
things we shouldn't do by Ingu (Rated T)
“Why is everybody taking my relationship status so personally? Can’t I be fine with being single?” Buck said.
“Hey, you don’t have to say yes, be sad and alone if that’s what you want,” Josh replied. “But, I’m just saying. I’ve seen photos and this guy is volcanic levels of hot. Also, single dad, super cute kid. Saves lives for a living like you. I think you should give it a go.”
(the one where Buck and Eddie accidentally get set up on a blind date with each other, and everything snowballs from there)
Keeping It In The Family by Wolves_of_Innistrad (Rated T)
A young man shows up at the firehouse looking for Buck. Turns out Javier was a Bartender with Buck in Mexico. He’s back in LA, looking to reconnect and very flirty. Cue Eddie realizing Buck is not as straight as he thought.
kiss me (like your ex is in the room) by rebeccaofsbfarm (Rated E)
Eddie Diaz gets drunk and protective and signs up for a fake double date to get back at his friend's ex.
Leave the Light On (I'll Be Coming Home) by HMSLusitania (Rated M)
An accident on a call leaves Buck with custody of Chris after Eddie is… missing presumed.
While they navigate their new family circumstances -- and fight to stay together, despite Eddie's parents' best efforts -- a John Doe wakes up in a coma ward with no memory of his own life beyond the knowledge he has a son named Christopher and, somehow, he needs to get home

In your opinion. What do you think a fic would have to include to make a realistic ppgxrrb story? A trope that's used in this fandom a lot is the boys being bad boys. Personally I never liked this trope only because they weren't bad boys they were evil. I really think people forget that the boys were made for the sole purpose of destroying the girls. That's not the same as being a bad boy. When they're presented as bad boys imo it makes the challenge of the couples getting together easier because they're not evil just rebellious. I feel that the real challenge would be them being evil and slowly but surely changing the narrative of the girls in their head despite what mojo or him would say and do. I can honestly say I've yet to find a story where the boys are evil and eventually start to change slowly but surely for the better.
I am interpreting this ask to be questioning the realism or lack thereof of using a “bad boy” trope to characterize the Boys. If that’s incorrect and I’ve misunderstood you, I apologize and please feel free to correct me!
I’m going to have to disagree with your interpretation that the Boys were ever evil. First of all, I think it’s impossible for any 5 year old to be evil, whether it’s the Boys or Princess Morbucks or whoever. “Evil” is a term I’d reserve for characters like Dick Hardly, or Him, or Mojo, to name a few. It’s the willful disregard for the safety and wellbeing of others often for selfish reasons, be they profit, death/destruction/for the lulz, or power (in each of those three characters’ cases). I have never once in canon seen the Boys characterized in this manner. Even when they first appeared, they went after the Girls because A) Mojo, an unequivocal authority figure and the first person they ever meet, told them to and B) they are shitty little boys who, as many shitty little boys are wont to do, think girls are gross and realistically probably would pick a fight on some level.
Which brings me to my second counterpoint. In almost all of the Boys’ appearances in the show after that first episode (i.e., in their reincarnated versions), they are characterized as annoying little shitheads who like to play pranks, fart on each other, misspell graffiti, and generally be annoying little 5 year old boys. They possess the added nuisance of having Super powers, which of course makes the consequences of their messing around large-scale and often dangerous, such as when they threaten the structural integrity of Townsville. Recall that the Girls in the PPG Movie (which I consider canon) were also obliviously destructive in the name of having fun, not because they were consciously trying to cause harm. The Boys are basically just like that, and they have not been shown to grow out of it yet (they are 5 years old, we are not surprised).
That said, the fact that they are 5 means they can and will grow and change as they mature and get older, just like literally every person who has ever lived. And here is where my two cents on realism comes into play. Any characterization of the Boys, whether it’s as “bad boys” or “evil” or whatever, can theoretically work. What matters is the work the author/creator puts into the story showing us the specific life experiences that have profoundly shaped and influenced the direction of the Boys’ lives. That part, however, is the hard part and where a lot of writers/creators will struggle. So you want to write them as evil? Go right ahead! But I strongly encourage you to show us why they became evil. What mentors influenced them? What experiences did they have that pushed them down that path? And what does being “evil” even mean? Are we talking murder and mayhem? Are we talking something more small scale? You need to be able to answer questions like this in order to make it believable that the Boys have grown up to be evil actors. I also encourage you to keep in mind that it’s rare to find a realistic villain who is evil for the sake of being evil. Often, there are concrete reasons. For example, perhaps they lost a loved one and now vow to avenge them, inadvertently or carelessly killing or harming innocents on their path to achieving that. That’s evil, but it’s logical and realistic.
I have other beefs with the bad boy trope that I won’t get into here, but I don’t think it’s fair to dismiss it or any other characterization as easy. It’s extremely hard to write a good bad boy trope, often because people miss the entire point of it and mistake it for romantic when it 100% is not. Tl;dr whatever your chosen characterization, you need to be able to back it up if you want readers to believe it and sympathize with your characters and their plight.

I was not technically tagged, but at least two people on my dash were like DO WHAT YOU WANT NO ONE IS YOUR GOD, and you know what? They’re right and valid.
1) How many works do you have on AO3?
96! And 90% of them are from just this year. Can’t wait to find out what the big 100 is gonna be. Any one of my WIPS could be Disney’s next 100th fic.
2) What’s your total AO3 word count?
455,024 (also mostly from this year...)
3) How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
In my entire life??? Since I was twelve??? I don’t even know, man. I wrote a lot of ooc crackfic and fic for cartoons when I was on FF.net, and then I was on LJ and wrote for a TON of different fandoms, but on AO3, I have written for Critical Role (so much CR), Yashahime/Inuyasha, Guardians of the Galaxy, His Dark Materials (TV), Steven Universe, Bleach, Alias, Supernatural, Dollhouse, Pushing Daisies (the last four were all transferred here from LJ, though)
4) What are your top five fics by kudos?
- turning wine back into water (Critical Role, de-aging fic with plot, 30457 words)
I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE HOW POPULAR THIS FIC IS. It beat out two of my super popular GotG fics that have been up since 2017 BY A LOT. Apparently, there was a market for the Mighty Nein being adorable cocktail brats and saving the world. Thanks, Liam’s Quest!
It is probably one of the most wholesome fics I will ever write too. I love it.
- Sunshine Came Softly (Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket and Mantis friendship, 3188 words)
THIS FIC STILL GETS HITS EVEN TODAY. It was written right after I saw the movie so it hit hard and fast on the hype train.
- Mine Is Just a Slower Sacrifice (Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket-centric, 2248 words)
BOY YOU CAN TELL THESE FICS ARE ANCIENT BECAUSE I HADN’T DEVELOPED MY TITLE NICHE YET. where are the lower caps and Seanan McGuire lyrics!!
Anyway, this was written probably IMMEDIATELY after I saw the movie and had to process Rocket’s emotions during the last moments, because of who I am as a person. For what’s mostly a character study, it got some mileage on it.
- they drink dreamers up like brandy (Critical Role, 1625 words)
Back to Critical Role! I wrote this one when I was in a fucking blind post-finale haze and producing massive amounts of Kingsley content and I wanted to write a silly fic about Caleb being tiefling catnip.
- if adversity breeds character (we’ve character enough for two) (Critical Role, Beau and Molly-centric, 1824 words)
I feel like most of my most kudos-ed CR fics are Beau-related, which is funny because I never really wrote her EVER. I guess I need to write her more often. ANYWAY, this one got jossed immediately after 141, but I needed to write Beau and Molly bantering and I couldn’t get her flipping him off after revealing her card is Rumor out of my head.
(Incidentally my sixth most kudos-ed fic is my Fjorester next gen fic, WHICH I WAS NOT EXPECTING AT ALL. IT’S A FIC BASED ON MY OC FANCHILDREN!! I’M VERY EMOTIONAL ABOUT THAT!!)
5) Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Usually!! There are times when I forget and then it’s been so long that I never go back, but I like responding to comments. They make me so happy and I want to make sure the people who take the time to comment know that I see them and appreciate them. Especially if they give me long comments. You long commenters know who you are and I value you and also flail incoherently in your direction.
6) What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
God, probably this church takes no conversions simply because, like, the whole ending scenes are MISERABLE AND FULL OF ANGST and then it has the hopeful ending that is actually a bullshit lie.
But second place probably goes to what couldn’t i offer, what couldn’t i give, which is just misery porn in disguise as a character study. Sorry, Cree.
7) Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?
Okay, so back in the day when I was a tineh fanbrat I wrote a lot of self-indulgent crossovers featuring my friends and I in true Mary Sue format being ~saviors of the world~ alongside our favorite fictional characters and after I grew out of that, I very rarely did it again, because as someone who can only write AUs if they’re high concept and can only write crossovers if the canon welding is pristine, it’s difficult.
I have ideas for some! I just haven’t written them yet. Or they’re sitting in Google Docs partially written.
8) Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not to my recollection, which is insane, because I’ve written some things in my youth that deserved it, but also I was a kid, so maybe I definitely did not deserve it. Don’t send hate to kids!!
9) Do you write smut? If so what kind?
The first smut I ever posted on AO3 involved some fucking American Gods flesh horror shit, so that answers your second question.
Basically, yes, but I write smut to facilitate character development in a way that regular story beats can’t, mainly with characters who are in some way deeply fucked up and have unbalanced dynamics.
So basically chances of me writing smut that isn’t Creecien or Lucigast? Very low. (I haven’t written Lucigast smut yet but I will. Inevitably.)
10) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that anyone’s told me, but one time when I was a teenager someone ripped off an entire group messageboard RP I was in and tried to pass it off as a fic they wrote.
11) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that anyone’s told me!
12) Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I tried and it did not work out, because of (non-wanky) reasons, but it’s just not something I’d be very good at. I was the kid who wanted to work alone on group projects. I’m bad at group work.
13) What’s your all time favourite ship?
That I’ve WRITTEN??? Because that at least narrows it down significantly. Sesshoumaru/Rin hands down. It’s a good dynamic and they’re fun and sad at the same time.
My self-indulgent ass does also enjoy writing Creecien though. I’m putting it out there because I want it.
14) What’s a WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
GOD POOR SUPERNOVAS OF ALL SOUND AND LIGHT. THAT FIC COULD’VE BEEN A CONTENDER, but I unfortunately posted it RIGHT BEFORE the White Diamond episodes aired and it became so jossed by canon so fast that I gave up on life with chapter two half finished. I need to delete it but I can’t bring myself to bury my shame.
15) What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and meta-narrative and character-specific stuff. I go into every story with CHARACTER FIRST mentality, which is how I end up writing so many damn character studies or why my word counts explode. I’m just out here naval gazing because I love character stuff SO MUCH.
I’ve been told I’m good at fight/action scenes too, which... Shocks me, but I think watching and playing a lot of D&D stuff has really improved how I write fighting and action sequences.
16) What are your writing weaknesses?
[whispers] too much naval gaze. dial it back, bitch.
I get really caught up in character stuff and forget to do important things like ADVANCE THE SCENE OR DESCRIBE THE SCENE OR LITERALLY ANYTHING. I also don’t think my prose is all that great, but I’m pretty sure every writer feels that imposter syndrome bullshit, so /waves hands. All I’m saying is I have seen some writers on AO3 who are writing some fucking vivid imagery and stringing flawless sentences together and weaving introspection and description together like beautiful baskets and they are stronger than any US Marine and I salute them and wish to be them.
17) What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Iiii try not to. There’s times where I want to throw in, like, a little Zemnian for Caleb flair, but I try to stick to things that are either untranslatable (like German compound words), common phrases (like please or come here), or insults/curses/ pet names. Things that I don’t think Google will fucking lie to me about.
18) What was the first fandom you wrote for?
I think it was a Sailor Moon crackfic about Haruka being forced to enter a beauty pageant which was just a blatant rip-off of Ms Congeniality and oh my god was it awful. I don’t even wanna talk about it.
19) What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
this church takes no conversions, probably BECAUSE it’s my little red-headed stepchild of a fic involving so many things that are just never going to make it popular (backstory fic, fic that is almost 85% headcanon, doesn’t involve popular characters, etc.), but godDAMMIT I love that fic so much. It was fun and I use every bit of that headcanon in almost everything like it’s my job.
shattered stage is a close second, because it was such a crazy concept for a fic that I PULLED OFF SOMEHOW and is this wonderful mix of crazy plot and character and lore and my three favorite tieflings having to work together. And also Jayne Merriweather as the main villain.
A lot of love went into both of those fics and they are my babies. this time next year we’ll see if I add Creedemption and shoot at fate to this list- probably. All of my epic long fics resolve to be my babies because I spent so much time on them, and I have to love them and cherish them because I raised them into gigantic wordy attempts to write a doorstopper.

hi!! i have a question... i saw your reblog about freewriting and i wanted to try it myself cause i have a hard time with writing because of my anxiety but i'm not sure i understood 100%. what do you actually write while you freewrite? is it related to what you're working on at the moment, like do you freewrite a scene (kind of like sprinting in a way) or just random words/thoughts in your head?
hi <3 i understand you 100% because sometimes (most of the time) when i sit down with the intention to write, my brain subconsciously goes "okay, the pressure's ON, everything i write must be useful for the fic" (and then i go "wait, @ brain, what fic? i don't even know what fic i would write, i just want to write" and brain says "it must be useful for the fic" (which btw doesn't help, thanks @ brain but no thanks))
i will start by honestly saying that while I've been doing this for many years, I've never had a word for it. If my memory's right, then I've never heard the term "freewriting" before. I'd either call it stream of consciousness or messaging a friend or word vomit or scribbling
(i'm going to share some photos & screenshots as examples because i personally appreciate examples for things i don't know how to even start doing; i'll include content warnings above the photos wherever applicable. These things were not meant to be seen by other people, obviously, so not all of them are neat, not all of them are in English or spelled correctly, and not all of them make sense, some might not even be Socially Acceptable (i'm very anxious as well, you see, so I ask people to be kind if you do take a look at the examples and decipher what's written), but that's the whole point of these: you let your mind go without worrying about where it's going)
I'm sure every person who does freewriting does it differently but here are several ways i do it (under the cut because it got very long as i pretty much (ayyyy) freewrote it):
test a pen/pencil! you know when you get a new pen and write down the most random thing on a piece of paper to see what the ink looks like and how it feels to write using that pen? for me it's usually a single word or a phrase from a song (my go-tos are hello, wait, Beloved (my MC's name, shhh) and other fictional characters' names or Why you gotta be so mean? from Taylor Swift's song "Mean", don't ask me why because i have no answer)
Tumblr media
writing down the lyrics to a song that's currently stuck in your mind and living there rent-free, and if you forget the next line or if something else pops into your head - let it take you over
Tumblr media Tumblr media
write on random pieces of paper! the less it reminds you of a notebook/blank page, the better! sometimes that means what's left of printer paper or post-it notes. actually, most of the photos of paper pages in this post are from my poor quality notebooks - the paper is too thin or not smooth or the pages are yellowish, so i don't feel bad """wasting""" the notebook for doodles, random scribbles, etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a diary entry? a diary entry, except there doesn't have to be depth to it, no journaling type of reflection on your feelings, on your experiences, on the Daily Journaling Prompt necessary--unless you want to. in my case it's mostly complaining about the pen i decided to use or the quality of the paper but!!! because i let myself write anything and everything on one page, at one point it feels natural to write some random story sentences on the other page
CW: implied past physical abuse
Tumblr media
brainstorming! here's where, for me, the "messaging a friend" name came from. i have a very vague idea for what i want to write or a very small detail i want to write about, but nothing else. i set up a timer and write everything down (the screenshot is taken from my very own personal discord server, it's just me and a writing bot. at one point i realised that whenever i was brainstorming or writing cheer up ficlets in my friends' discord DMs, writing went super easy because my brain didn't register it as writing, but as chatting. At first, I formatted a new google doc so it looked exactly like discord's dark theme, but ultimately decided that just creating a new server just for my writing process/practice/etc and stuff is easier)
CW: harmful & discouraging stuff asexual people face
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I don't know what to write, I don't even think I want to write an actual story, it's not going to stop me" kind of writing. Anything goes and I mean anything. The sentences aren't connected. There's no actual idea or story behind the sentences. You're just writing a word after a word after a word. Sometimes a question appears in your mind, so you write it down. The question leads to more questions, or maybe an answer, or maybe you realise you like the feel/sound of one word so you write it again and again. After you wrote the word three times, tiny ideas form in your mind, things you relate to that word. Then you lose track of the thought so you write "I lost track", then a piece of dialogue floats in your mind that's probably inspired or part of a song lyric you wrote earlier

if your writing anxiety is caused by fandom wank regarding some topics, tropes, themes, or even genres, know that if you freestyle about the thing you're worried somebody would judge you for, nobody else will read it. you can delete the doc afterwards. you can password protect it. you can tear the page out of your notebook and shred it to pieces. i won't include a photo example of this one (anxious, remember? also, it's nsfw) but i did this with smut-specific words and phrases. i got a blank piece of paper and wrote--first, just words (nouns for genitalia, verbs for action, etc. let me tell you - i was alone in the room and even trying to write the first word was difficult, in my head i kept thinking back to people's conversations on how "problematic these words are" etc etc etc and that fed my anxiety even further because "oh god what if they knew i was about to write this, what would they think of me"), then the words combined into phrases, then common smexy phrases that characters in smut say, and so on and so on. no punctuation because it's not a story. you know what happened after i put that first word on the page? nothing. i felt silly, sure, but i repeated the word several more times and still no People From the Internet barged into my room to ridicule & judge me. during that session, freestyling for that genre got easier and easier with every word.
Two posts that helped me realise that warming up for writing (and anything creative) is a good idea:
Writers need warm up sketches too (my way of warm up is usually either freewriting or using a typing speed website)
The anatomy of a pen/pencil etc
...and I think that's all from me 💕 apologies for how long this is but I hope it helps you in some way *hugs*

aaah, and I thought the throbb/theon fandom couldn’t disappoint me more than it already had
and yet.
okay, so, whatever, I’ve been made aware of a situation on twitter and honestly I’m tired, so let’s just have it out.
apologies for the long-ass post but I honestly am tired of being the uber-correct person who addresses everyone directly and properly and so on and all I get is finding out people trash talk behind your back anyway and don’t engage with me if they have a problem.
so, yesterday I’m minding my damned business, I see that @fleurdulys is apparently in some discussions with anti sansan people calling her names, I send her a message like ‘oh god they found you I’m so sorry’ because I have seen anti sansan takes back in the day, two people including someone that had stalked her for months start tagging me too and accusing me of the usual condoning That Horrible Problematic Ship and of being a pedo apologist blah blah blah, I block both of them, the day after another two show up in my mentions uninvited, I block both of them.
then someone who was monitoring the situation warns me that some anon is trash talking me and fleur in the curiouscat asks of some other person that I had absolutely no knowledge of until then. I went to block them, found out I had blocked them already because they were anti thr/amsay and shipped a theon show only ship I really don’t like so I went and blocked them in JULY before they changed nickname because I’m an adult and I like to think I can cut out of my life people I don’t want to risk interacting with because I know I don’t have anything to say to them. said person accused me of ‘using as a tactic calling everything calvinist’ which... well, when the problem is that antis are basically being that it’s not a tactic but whatever, I addressed it on twitter and changed my screen name as a joke because y’know what let’s embrace it, I don’t like calvinists anyway.
I go and forget about it and then the same someone monitoring the situation informs me that these lovely people had this other exchange - I’m not mentioning who it is but they’ll know and at this point I’m honestly done:
Tumblr media
now.
sorry but what the hell.
first of all, going in order:
I blocked receiver of the CC ages ago because she ships a thing that for me is an absolute no and I have very good reasons to not like it, and I have zero interest in talking to people who ship that AND are th/ramsay antis, which is a thing that I have zero patience for whichever side of the fence you’re on - saying it as someone who doesn’t like th/ramsay but ffs I don’t agree with anti-ing stuff, if you hate it blacklist and move on with your life;
also, I wasn't lurking on her anons because I didn’t even know she was involved but someone else monitoring the situation told me I was the subject of one of them and I went and checked for myself, so like... sorry I’m not unblocking because I never searched for her, I never talked to her, I never wanted contact with her and she and the anon are there trash talking me and fleur for shipping a fictional ship so what are we even talking here;
and that’s the premise, but: I had gotten my 'bitch ass away from throbb' in 2011, the amount of fics that fandom has would Not Exist At All because *I* was the sole steady contributor (ie the only person who kept on posting it) 2011-18 (and fandom drove out the only other steady contributor in 2015-8 lmao), *I* was the one organizing most theon-based fandom events (which were opened to all ships, including the ones I hated, and if I could handle posting th/ramsay fanart/reading th/ramsay prompts/assigning them when the exchange was anonymous and I had to post all the contributions when looking at th/ramsay art made me sick back in the day I think OP can tolerate people existing and shipping stuff she don't like), *I* was the one periodically coming up with ways to make the tag less filled with hate, *I* called out every single anti shaming anyone for their ships - from thramsay to theonsa because there were theonsa antis back in S5 but she wouldn't know I suppose -, so like she can pay me the favor to not even going there because if it wasn't for me she wouldn't have throbb fic to read *period* (not to brag but check, before I started spamming the tag and helped bringing in people along with someone else who's not in fandom anymore there were literally six), so how about she check what are her contributions to the fandom (less than mine probably) other than creating drama? thanks.
also ‘theon and robb would beat pedos up’ please check your facts, theon/jeynep is going to most likely be canon and she’s like thirteen and he’s twenty-two, which is a nine year age gap, which is not even that far from sansan. also your favorite theon ship has an eight years age gap in the books too so just stop. you ain’t coherent. at least be coherent. but you can’t, because every single asoiaf ship is problematic for some reason. ;)
and that was it for OP.
now, for the anon, who honestly... the entitlement, I swear to god, but in order: if you’re that pressed because I haven’t written throbb in months also thanks to people like you you could have like, come and talked to me on tumblr because regardless from what you assume I don’t bite. also I see that you’re a throbb shipper and you’re calling me THROBB CONTENT GENERATOR?
CONTENT GENERATOR?
ARE YOU COMPLETELY OUT OF IT?
I’M A HUMAN BEING, I’M NOT YOUR DAMNED CONTENT GENERATOR.
I DON’T GENERATE CONTENT FOR YOUR SATISFACTION, I WRITE FIC FOR SHIPS I LIKE. throbb is my otp (still, even if y’all really are trying to drive me out lol) and I wrote novels of it for years for free because I love it, BUT NOT BECAUSE I’M YOUR DAMNED CONTENT GENERATOR.
content generator.
I’m just. actually you know what, if I write throbb again after this, you can be 100% sure there’s gonna be full-on blown canon sansan in it for a very long time and I’m absolutely not going to make it avoidable if you don’t scroll half of the fic. also ‘I could ask her to write it but she’d put sansan in it so I won’t’ who the hell do you think you are?
who the hell do you think you are?
I take prompts when I can because I want to and because once in a while I enjoy the idea of writing stuff for people because other than being something I love, I like the idea that I can make someone’s day nicer by filling them a prompt if they like my writing, I don’t do that just because you ask.
what the hell? so you’d ask and me, a poor idiot, not knowing it was you, would put it on a to-write list of prompts that’s like ten pages of notebook long because that’s how long my goddamned list is, while you’re here laughing that someone whose writing you like but whose personality you obviously despise has written you your favorite ship for free not knowing that it’s for someone that doesn’t like her all that much?
jesus christ.
like, I thought this fandom couldn’t get lower than the let’s plagiarize fics deal last july, but this is honestly rich.
and then you wonder why whenever I think about finishing sfbd or writing a ship that used to make me happy to write now I go like ‘f* this noise why should I bother I’m writing any other damned pairing instead’.
and I have to read this shit from someone who, when I blocked them the moment I got the fandom twitter account, who I never searched for, who I never talked to and who is friends with people who happily accuse others of being pedo apologists because they ship sansan which is, oh, wait, an almost-canon ship with canon text supporting it and that grrm himself certainly doesn’t hate and has admitted to have been leading up to, and now wants me to unblock her to talk??? when their friends showed up in my mentions absolutely uninvited because I sent support to someone who was arguing with them because we both ship sansan and I’ve done it for longer so I know how’s the deal?
and from some kind of anon who sure as hell reads my fics enough that they know I’m still the most prolific throbb contributor to the tag even if I haven’t written throbb in a year and some who calls me content generator and not even contributor as if I was some kind of juke box machine where you put in prompts and get out 5k minimum fics for free? and who still would like to read them enough to throw that shade but has no issues trashing me because I’m pointing out that antis think exactly like 17th century calvinists, which is a thing that can 100% be proved the moment you look up how the aforementioned calvinists thought?
like, I’d like to kindly tell the both of them to find a hobby that’s not trying to fele better harassing people they don’t know for fictional ships and remind everyone on here (because I’m sure anon is on tumblr as it’s where I hang out most of the time anyway) including the few anons who have asked me if I’d consider writing throbb again in the last months and who asked me if I’d run theonexchange again at some point that fic writers are human beings, not jukeboxes, and that being assholes has, as a usual consequence, driving the content creators out. I’m not a content generator, I’m not here to get laughed at because I fill prompts and I generally like to put content in the tags and not drama and because I think that being a fandom contributor should mean spreading positivity instead of shaming people for what they ship.
anyway: as a conclusion to this rant, I’m definitely not writing throbb that doesn’t have sansan in it anytime soon and if I run theonexchange again at some point (which I would like to but with these premises you’ll see that finding the force of will when I have a life is kind of a problem) if I find out that OP or any of her friends want to participate they’re kindly welcomed not to because I’m banning them on sight.
wow, get my bitch ass away from a fandom I kind of helped make and contributed 10% of the ao3 content to.
congrats, you just made sure I really won’t when I was taking a break but I was planning to come back at some point even if right now it’s quite tempting.
thanks for reading this if you got to this point and sorry for the rant but I’m tired.
I’m really tired.
also I’ve always said I shipped sansan from the moment I was in this fandom, I tag it also for blacklisting purposes and I don’t even put it as a side in fics that much because it doesn’t come up, so if anyone is so disgusted by it they’re welcome to learn to coexist with people who ship stuff they don’t like.
again: I’m really tired.

10 writer things
Tagged by @beguilewritesstuff !
so to preface this, i don’t really use the word “writer” for myself, it feels too... i don’t know, presumptuous? but if it’s the name of the tag meme, then i guess i’ll roll with it.
1. What’s your favourite genre to write? To quote that Tumblr post i’ve seen do the rounds: “and they had naps” ^_^ i guess i like having a mix of angst, fluff, hurt/comfort, and if it gets a bit long maybe some action or something resembling a plot? (well, that’s the idea at least...)
2. Do you pull inspiration from real life, or do you pull things from other books/fanfiction you’ve read? Eh, both. And the source material, of course. And chats with fandom friends!
3. Do you tend to write one-shots, short stories, or longer things? One-shots that sometimes grow way too long, and also sometimes turn into series (but each instalment has to be self-contained; if it feels like i’d be publishing a WIP then it stays on the hard drive).
4. Do you prefer to write description or dialogue? Hard to say... i generally write 3rd person limited pov, so depending on the character and circumstances... i like playing with the way they lie to themselves, or are oblivious to things; whether that goes through dialogue or description, well... ::shrugs::
5. Favourite fic/book of all time? Umm... i can’t say, sorry!
6. Favorite Trope? ^ see that “naps” thing? But really... probably h/c? i like mixing up fluff and angst, or h/c and humour; at least that’s the goal. As for specific tropes... there are many i’m not into, tbh, but sometimes i’ll still give them a try if i can put my own spin on it and avoid what i usually don’t like about it.
7. Are you the kind of person to work on more than one WIP? Do i have several unfinished fics on my computer? Yes. Do i have WIPs online? No. i do have a series that i want to wrap up, but each story more or less works on its own and i angst a lot about going back to finish it. It’s a few thousands words in and i know what i want to happen, but i’ve been blindsided too often by fics that suddenly balloon into giant things and i’d like to not get caught into a giant story that i can’t see the end of, for once. Just something i could finish quickly, put out, and maybe get some feedback on just as quickly, to buoy me. (Giant fics do get some feedback, but i’ll be honest: putting out tens of thousands or words and getting a handful of comments, however nice and cherished they are, can be frustrating sometimes. i won’t say it’ll make me stop ficcing, but it certainly makes me go, eh, why bother often enough given the grief they can give me.)  But i don’t owe anyone anything as a ficcer, and no one owes me anything as a content producer.
8. How long have you been writing? i wrote my first fics in the early aughts, and i guess i tried to write a few things before that, but i’ve only been putting stuff up on AO3 semi-regularly for a few years.
9. Do you tend to write more in the morning, afternoon, or evening? Like the rest of my schedule, i have no schedule ^_^
10. Do you prefer to post and update your WIP chapter by chapter or wait until it’s 100% complete before sharing it? As a reader, i don’t do WIPs because, among other things, i prefer to check the ending, i like to immerse myself in a fic without forgetting half the details because i’m reading it in bits... so i don’t want to inflict what i don’t like on anyone who’s reading my stuff. So, i only publish finished fics. Besides, i keep going back, adding details, tweaking a thing so it fits best the overall fic, etc; posting something unfinished gives me cold sweats. Of course, it very probably means i don’t get as many comments, as much cheering as posting bit by bit would (or maybe it means people are less likely to forget about the fic and stop reading between chapters, who knows?).
Tagging: whoever’s in the mood!

How To Motivate, Encourage, and Inspire Writers - A Masterpost
Hey guys! I am reposting this guide because it got mysteriously deleted. This version includes some new additions and advice for readers.
This is meant to be a guide to help people give valuable, inspiring feedback, as well as how to send in prompts and requests that are more likely to be used. Remember that these are simply suggestions designed to help YOU as a reader get more of what you want. <3
Please let me know if you have anything to add, as this post was a collaborative effort and it can only get better with more input.
*
What Readers Can Do
1. Like and reblog the stories you enjoy. Fanfic authors don’t get paid. Their only “currency” is notes and feedback. Seeing the notes climb, as silly as it may seem, is a huge motivator to write more. If you are shy about using your main blog for this, you can always create a sideblog and reblog the fic you like there. Authors will notice this and it’s also a great record when you want to go back to fic that you enjoy!
2. Positive feedback! A simple “I love this” or “I can’t wait for more” is great if that’s all you have to say, as well as general writer appreciation, but even better...
3. Comment with specifics. What did you like about the story or writing style? You can talk about the plot itself, characterization, dialogue, the writer’s voice or sense of humor, how the story made you feel, what you’d like to see more of...anything, even the smallest detail, that made you enjoy reading it. Nothing is more motivating for a writer than knowing that their hard work is appreciated.
Some examples of great comments with places to fill in the blanks with specifics. Feel free to use all or part of these as templates when you want to send a comment but you’re not sure where to begin:
[Author Name] - your last fic was so [complimentary adjective]! You really [description of something they did well]. Can’t wait for your next [story/chapter].
[Author Name] - I love [Title] so much! I especially love [part you enjoyed].
I hope we get more of [Title] from [Author Name]. It is [complimentary adjective].
Just read [Title] and [exclamation]! I am [emotion or state of mind].
I really loved [Title] by [Author Name]! My favorite part was probably [specific impactful theme or moment in fic], because it really made me feel [emotional response].
I am [emotion or state of mind] over [Title] by [Author Name]. It was so [descriptive adjective] when [describe moment in story].
Some more examples of really great, detailed, inspiring comments.
4. Start an actual dialogue with an author. As mentioned above, reblogging with comments (even just in the tags) is great. You can also send asks directly to their blogs, DM them, or send additional asks when they respond. Authors may have questions for you, and being able to interact can easily spark something or help them find direction where they were stuck. You can find a list of authors’ sideblogs here if you want to send messages directly to them.
5. Direct requests and prompts to specific writers who you enjoy. Start with why you like them and then explain your idea or request. By doing that, they will start off knowing that they are appreciated, making them way more likely to get excited by your suggestion. Try to phrase things in an open-ended and positive way. “I’d love to see how you would handle [prompt situation/pairing/suggestion]” or “here’s an idea, I think you could do something really cool with it.” The more detailed and supportive your prompt is, the more likely it is that someone will get excited and inspired by it. If your request is for “more” of something that exists, include a reason why you like that story, author, etc. If your request is for something different, talk about something else you liked and why.
Examples of how to send in requests and prompts to specific writers, or include a compliment:
[Author Name(s)] is/are awesome and I would love for them to write more [ship or thing you love].
I would give anything for more [ship or request], especially if it’s similar to [Title(s)], they are my favorite!
I love [Author Name]’s style so much, and I’d be so happy if they wrote [ship/thing you want from them].
I wonder how [Author Name] or [Author Name] would handle [idea]? I would love to read that!
[Title] by [Author Name] is so [positive adjective]! It makes me really want them to try [idea] because I bet they would [motivating phrase like “kill it!”].
[Author Name] - have you ever considered writing [prompt]? [Motivating sentence like “I would die for that!”]
I really love [ship], especially [story title(s)/author name(s)]. I would love to see one where [prompt].
6. Creating artwork, edits, moodboards, or anything inspired by a story you like. This is like, the PINNACLE for most writers. Knowing that someone connected to something you wrote enough to take time out of their day to create something inspired by your story. It’s like drugs. ART IS DRUGS PASS IT ON.
7. If you are a writer, comment on other writers’ stories! You know more than anyone how hard they worked, so please show your fellow authors some love.
Demotivators
1. Anything that sounds aggressive or demanding. You catch more flies with honey.
2. Complaining about the lack of a certain ship, ESPECIALLY if ANYTHING featuring that ship has been posted in the last month of so. Writers are reading these comments, especially if they have posted recently. Can you imagine how demoralizing it is to post a story and then 3 days later, read a comment bemoaning how there’s NOTHING from that ship, that ship is dead, etc? Like this, written about one of the most popular, enduring ships in the fandom with some of the most prolific, talented writers here:
Tumblr media
Don’t be that anon. ^
3. Begging and whining, especially for something extremely vague - this sounds way less cute than you think, and reading something like “I will die if I don’t get more [ship]” is more annoying than inspiring. Especially if, as stated above, the thing you are dying over already exists.
4. Giving nothing at all. Most of the writers expect to at least see their work is noticed. If there are no responses at all, they can’t provide you with anything new. And worst case scenario, they lose the motivation to finish it because they think no one is interested.
Notes From Some Writers (and Readers!)
“I’m famously horrendously bad at abandoning fics but about 95% of my will to continue to keep writing is because I know other people are reading and interested that I keep writing, and I’m sure that’s how a lot of other writers operate too. We’re all fuelled by positive reinforcement, so please tell us! Oh, and btw, commenting just to get mad at lack of updates is not encouragement and is actually super irritating and stressful. Just so ya know.” - Edith
“Having an artist come to you and say ‘Hey, I was inspired by your story’ is FANTASTIC. And also encouraging because someone has taken time to create something and say ‘hey, I really liked the thing you made’. It becomes a cycle.” - Kitschy
“Take a look anywhere, on AQ or ao3 or any other platforms. You’ll see (on ao3), probably at most, 10:1 ratio for hits to kudos, alone. There are even less comments. On AQ, probably a 10:1 ratio for likes to reblogs, and the most popular fics only have a little over 100 notes period. Now, consider that it can take a writer months to be happy with a fic they submit. This takes countless hours. Fiction writers, in real life, get money for their work. We get nothing. Nothing, that is, except whatever appreciation you can give us. If we put work and our hearts and souls into something and get nothing, we question our talent, our abilities, our devotion. We refresh the pages where our works are posted constantly, hoping for some feedback, some appreciation, and most readers only read the fiction and give no feedback or appreciation whatsoever.
“All you, as a reader, have to do to make us happy is take 1 to fifteen minutes out of your day to leave a comment, send an ask, send a message to a sideblog. Leave commentary in the tags if you reblog. Any reaction at all. It is all we get for the work we put in.” - Miss Bianca
“My 2 cents I guess is just to get into a habit of acknowledging works that you like. Even for me I'll read stuff and really enjoy it but forget to comment or like it so I'm gonna work on it and I’d like everyone else do it as well. Once people get in the habit of commenting and liking it becomes second nature and with that kind of positive environment it allows writers to grow.” - MissChimKi
“Going back in time, my first work was posted two years ago, and the last comment I got was a huge thank you for writing such a good story and the emotions of that reader, it’s the kind of tiny little things that give me fuel to keep writing.” - Saiphl
“I once wrote 5000 words in a day simply because someone told me that they were reading my smut in church. So, extreme enthusiasm is awesome, but don’t feel like you have to exaggerate and say ‘this is the best thing I ever read.’ A simple ‘I am going to hell...I was in a church service reading Exposed chapter 9’ is more than enough!” - Veronica
“Something that motivates me as a writer is when readers pick out parts of my fic to say why they enjoyed them. Advice for readers would be to never think you’re complimenting too much! I’ve seen some readers cut their asks short because they don’t want to gush too much. As writers we love praise and attention, we’re like Tinkerbell really!” - Vixen

Jancy Fanfic Masterpost
This is a collection of the fanfics that have personally captivated me in some way, and I highly recommend them. Feel free to reblog and share it so that more people can read these, because they deserve it! Also, if you have ones you would like to recommend as well (it can be your own; don’t be ashamed to promote your own stuff!), I encourage adding them in your reblog so that we can see them (ALL YOUR JANCY FICS ARE BELONG TO US--get it? I made a funny. No? Okay, never mind).
Note: some of these fics don’t have titles and are based on prompts, I just took the liberty to name them what seems most fitting. Also, some of the summaries really don’t do the stories justice, because these are all so good!
Enjoy!
---------- ----------
Repercussions // Summary: “The night & next day of the season 2 finale & all the aftermath that came with it, 100% canon. confirmed. i promise. they just didn't show it.”
Pet Names // Summary: “Nancy gives Jonathan a nickname and poor Jonathan is confused.”
The Real Shit // Summary: “ "You're young, attractive, you've got chemistry, history, plus the real shit: Shared trauma." Follows Nancy and Jonathan through missing scenes in season 2 and beyond. Multichapter. Jancy, background Mileven, Lumax and Jopper (eventually).“
Now is After // Summary: “My take on what happened after the door slammed.“ (the night at Murray’s)
Puzzle Pieces // Summary: “Nancy wakes up sad, missing her friends. She forgets that Jonathan can, and wants to help her with her emotions.“  (Fluff & Smut)
High Times // Summary: “Nancy is a bad influence on Jonathan. First the drinking, the sex, and now pot? Was she crazy? Jonathan is a sweet innocent bean, and Nancy is not.”
Patterns // AO3 // Summary: “If you asked Nancy Wheeler how long she'd known Jonathan Byers, she'd say forever. But in the months after their adventure to bring down the big baddies in the government and the most terrifying monster hunt she's ever lived through, the months after the quiet thing between them shifts to something louder and stronger, she realizes she may not know him much at all.“
Aftermath // Summary: “Jonathan is expecting everything that happens at the party. The drunk girls, the partying guys, Steve storming away.”
What the Future Holds // Summary: “Anonymous: “Love your jancy fics! Another prompt if you can squeeze it in: Jon is worried that Nancy only has feelings for him “when the world is about to end.” She realizes he feels that way and convinces him that she really cares for him/loves him and they have a real connection, even when things are “normal.”“
Hurt // Summary: “Absently, Nancy rubs at the scar on her palm, just as she always does whenever it tingles or itches, reminding her of its presence. She doesn’t ever forget, not necessarily. She just…lives with it.“
The Prettiest Star // Summary: “Mostly Jancy fluff, with some Eleven/Jancy bonding.Takes place some time before the Snow Ball.“
We Live in the City // Summary: “Anonymous: “Hi! I just got out of the ER (nothing serious, thank god) and all I really want are some Jonathan cuddles (he looks like a fantastic cuddler). But since he’s a fictional character and I’m, well, not, I’d be just as happy with Jonathan taking care of/cuddling with Nancy after she had a similar ER visit? I ended up having gastroenteritis if it helps. Thanks so much! <3 “ “
Nightmares // Summary: “Anonymous: “ Hi! Do you you think you could do a angsty Jancy nightmare comfort fic, please? I feel like Nancy would still get nightmares about being in the Upside Down with the demogorgan and about Barb too. I really love your writing!”
Trick-or-Treat // Summary: “Anonymous: “ i absolutely love your account. i’ve had a prompt in mind but i’m a terrible writer. and you are the best one i’ve seen. sooo could you maybe do a prompt of jancy trick or treating with the kids. nancy makes him do a couples costume as well. ILY “”
Someone Important // Summary: “Jancy headcanon: Jonathan in college, asks Nancy to model for him for a photography assignment. The rest is up to you, you can take it in any direction, fluff or smut or whatever. :) “
Prom? // Summary: “ Anonymous: Prompt: Jonathan asking Nancy to prom”
Friends // Summary: “She waited (a month)....It’d been two weeks. Two weeks since they’d found Will, two weeks since they fought a monster from the Upside Down, two weeks since they lost Eleven. Two weeks since Jonathan had almost said something to her on his couch. Two weeks and she’d barely even talked to him since then, it was like he disappeared. It only made her more determined to stay patient.“
Strip // Summary: “Nancy puts on a little show for Jonathan.“
Snap Shots // Summary: “ A look into some missing moments of the pretentious creep and the suburban girl. Fluff, mild smut and some angst. Current chapters are set during 2x06 and 2x09.“

Fanfiction Writer Asks
Fuck it, I’ll do it myself, because I know I can’t count on you nerds to actually ask anything. :p
1) How old were you when you first starting writing fanfiction?
I really don’t know. I’ve been writing creatively since I was like 6. I don’t really remember writing for fandom until Pokémon, but I’ve been in fandom since the original Sailor Moon and Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers.
 2) What fandoms do you write for and do you have a particular favourite if you write for more than one?
I guess the Yogscast. Except I only really like a few of them, and it sure as shit isn’t the main channel people. I haven’t found a new obsession because I can’t sit still for tv anymore, and I’m a patient gamer/reader. So once I find something I like, it’s probably old and everyone’s already moved on.
3) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.
OCs. I am boring, shy (and thus no fun), and quite good at ruining the moment.
 4) What is your favourite genre to write for?
Action/Adventure. Fight scenes. Getting out of dire as fuck situations. Underdogs.
 5) If you had to choose a favourite out of all of your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?
I have so many… XP I guess a story I wrote in called Royal Infamy. It was literally hundreds of pages long, spanned at least 4 different fandoms, and could’ve been a standalone series if I just changed the names. Unfortunately it’s been lost to the ooooolllllddddd (and I mean 2001) internet. I like to think that maybe it’s on some ancient server, saved by those sorts of people who try to archive the entire internet and have literal exabytes of hoarded data. It was also how I met my SO of 13 years.
 6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?
A Prince of Persia fic. I don’t even like Prince of Persia.
7) When is your preferred time to write?
I never get as much inspiration as when it’s 1am and I’m supposed to be going to bed like a normal person. But never at a normal hour in the evening unless I’m inspired at work and have to rush home before I forget.
 8) Where do you take your inspiration from?
It used to be from all the anime I used to watch, now it’s cobbled together from fantasy books and video games.
 9) In your xxx fic, what’s your favourite scene that you wrote?
Like erotic fic? Eeeh. I’m so terrible at it that I literally only have one, I’m writing it right now, I’m not finished, and I don’t particularly like it because I keep subconsciously writing away from the part where they hold hands because I’m conflicted and discomforted by the whole thing, to be honest. Like, even when I was adolescent and supposed to be thirsty as teenagers are, I just wasn’t and couldn’t. My ex tried to get me to write something for him, and I still couldn’t do it. *shrug* It doesn’t help that I’ve never been big on shipping. …Those characters sure are standing next to each other, yep.
 10) In your xxx fic, why did you decide to end it like that? Did you have an alternative ending in mind?
Hahah… endings. That’s good. (Also see previous question.)
 11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?
Not that I can recall, unless you count ‘stop doing that thing’, ‘okay’ *does it more*
 12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?
Rythian. Fuckin’ edgelord. Just everything about him and his OC is *kisses fingers*.
 13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why?
Unfortunately Rythian is usually entangled with other people from the Yogscast. :p
 14) How did you come up with the title for the xxx?
Current project doesn’t even have a title, that’s how non-committed I am to it (she says even though it’s fast approaching a novelette.)
 15) If you write OC’s, how do you decide on their names?
If it’s an OC of a particular universe, there’s probably a naming convention, and I go by many names. If it’s just generic freestanding story, I keysmash and pick through it until it rolls off the tongue.
 16) How did you come up with the idea for xxx?
Classic ‘rivals who hide their sexual tension behind their distaste for one another.’
 17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.
“I haven’t seen your face since when you first came back from The End. And the … incident with trying to rid you of your curse.” He chuckled. “I’ve actually seen a lot more than your scars.”
 18) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?
Like 75% of my work is abandonware. I have ADHD, I get bored, and I usually take so long, the fandom “dies” before I can finish. And the moment is gone.
 19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?
Royal Infamy. And make it mine this time.
 20) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?
Probably Royal Infamy.
 21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?
Ilona Andrews. Her style is exactly what I aim for. …Okay maybe not the monster fucking, but the rest of it. Exciting, tense, a little bit scary.
 22) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?
The Prince of Persia fic. The first draft of the erofic. The weeb crack.
 23) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?
Silence. My brain goes 100% towards analyzing music and then I can’t focus on anything else.
 24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes?
Eeeeeeehhhhhh *whines* I don’t wanna…
 25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?
Nope. I don’t write that kind of pain.
 26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write?
The part where these two people who’ve tried to murder each other could even reasonably be in each other’s presence, let alone fuck. Also eternal hatred for evasive genital description brought on by a broken, puritan society.
 27) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?
I should start making outlines. My current three projects keep going off the rails.
 28) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fanfiction?
To go in with no expectations of people ever responding let alone giving feedback to anything. You’re just tossing shit in a hole and for every ton, one flower might grow.
 29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?
I did a thing about how Lalnable Hector created Echo, and *crickets*.
 30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?
Twenty years later, I still get emails about a fic I wrote about Birdy the Mighty (C-tier anime about a dead boy soul-sharing an intergalactic cop’s body.)
 31) Send me a fic recommendation and I’ll post it for my followers to see! (The asker is to send the rec not the answerer)
-
32) Are any of your characters based on real people?
Other than putting slivers of wish fulfillment in, no.
 33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?
Someone found a fic I wrote in two weeks in an archive over 20 years old and sent me kudos. Like, that shit should’ve been buried. But they found it.
 34) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?
Mary Sue. And you’re goddamn right she was. And I’ll fucking do it again.
35) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?
Nope, not for fear or anything, I just don’t think to share before it’s done because I’ll probably abandon it anyway.
 36) Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s?
You’ll be unsatisfied with the ending.
 37) What’s the funniest story you’ve written?
You fucking made me open one of my old Gundam Wing crack fics to check. Now I don’t know because I’m still cringing.
 38) If you could collab with any other writer on here, who would it be? (Perhaps this question will inspire some collabs!) If you’re shy, don’t tag the blog, just name it.
*shrug* Like… I haven’t done a collab in *checks calendar* 17 years. I don’t have any live fandoms. I’m not big on trying to meld with other people’s styles.
 39) Do you prefer first, second or third person?
Third.
 40) Do people know you write fanfiction?
No.
 41) What’s your favourite minor character you’ve written?
Can’t think of one. I usually don’t have minor/background characters?
 42) Song fic - What made you decide to use the song xxx for xxx.
…Okay, now I seriously can’t tell if xxx means erotic or a particular example. 😐 Anyway, I for some reason lost the ability to link songs to fics/personalities. I just don’t think of any particular person when I hear a song and vice-versa.
 43) Has anyone ever guessed the plot twist of one of your fics before you posted it?
That would imply enough people cared.
 44) What is the last line you wrote?
Despite the queen pushing him, he couldn’t move even if he wanted to (which he didn’t.)
 45) What spurs you on during the writing process?
If I don’t fucking do this it’s going to bother the fuck out of me for weeks, even if I don’t finish. Just get it on paper so it goes away.
 46) I really loved your xxx fic. If you were ever to do a sequel, what do you think might happen in it?
More action and intrigue.
 47) Here’s a fic title - insert a made up title. What would this story be about?
 -
48) What’s your favourite trope to write?
The antagonist finds the protagonist’s berserk button and realizes that maybe they should not have pushed it.
 49) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?
I can’t remember fics I wrote. And shit, that was at least 23 years ago. (She says even though she can perfectly remember her first fantasy novel 30 years ago. (The Gammage Cup))
 50) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?
Angst. I think. I’ve gotten good feedback from my more serious stuff.

the magnificent @sabraeal got me, :3 :3
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
It’s from an unfinished short story I wrote back in 2014: It was awful business working in the Lion’s Hoarde Inn. I think I just enjoyed the sound of it, (:
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/favorites, follows/subscriptions, visitor hits, kudos)
Some Nights, my first Teen Wolf fic. People really love pack mom!Stiles, apparently lol.
3. What is your FFnNet/AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
O PUREST ONE. It’s from a fanart I’m still chipping away at. Because: it made @superhappybubbleslove go WAAAAHHHHHH MY HEAAARRRRTT and I enjoy making wonderful people suffer! :D
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
Things are about to get real lengthy, so...
@sabraeal, of course, is a dream come true, and is currently back at it with her long reviews, and BE STILL MY HEART. @superhappybubbleslove kicks ass every Saturday with her amazingness (and often is the only, or one of the only ones, to comment on a very particular thing that i really loved about a story or art, and i always fist pump whenever she does that hahaha)  @claudeng80 has given me some of my favorite comments, EVER, and I often have to take a day or more to process my emotions before I can actually respond coherently haha, I GET VERY EXCITED, OKAY. @hidetheremote is one of my most faithful and kind and generous commenters, I am always thrilled to receive them and she’s been showering me with encouragement since the beginning, so she has a VERY special place in my heart! I have a few commenters on my ot3 things that are incredibly kind, or people who have bookmarked/kudo’d almost all of them, and while I do not believe I know their tumblr handles, but I would sell my first born for you. :| special shout out to @vfordii and @stuffaeamade and @raediation who are always SO supportive of my obizenyuki feels hahaha! @youseimanami is a one woman cheer squad and AMAZING, so kind and so so sweet, and her comments always feel SO genuine, they just make my heart get all swelled up and fuzzy and warm, I love her! I know I’m forgetting people, but I LOVE YOU ALL, YOU ARE ALL MY FAVORITES D;
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
I cycle through over time. There are a lot of older, long fics in other fandoms that I occasionally go back to when I need a pick-me up lol. Currently, there is I KID YOU NOT a south park kenny/kyle fic that I’m in love with and have read 2-3 times in the last couple months since I first read it and I WILL PROBABLY INDULGE AGAIN, SOON. (gold digger, IT IS AMAZING, OKAY)
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
I actually never figured out how to subscribe! 8D I have 86 bookmarks, but it should be more. I went through a year long period I think where I never signed into ao3 lol.
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
MAGIC. In some form or another lol.
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
163 user subscriptions, and 2604 bookmarks. (some nights has 1912 bookmarks all on its own, okay, teen wolf is a v v large ocean of a fandom haha)
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
N O P E, i have no shame filter 8D .....ok, wait, the a/b/o one because it’s omega!obi and i’ve been a tad leery of the response i may receive for how very, uh, not your usual obiyuki dynamic in bed i want to make it. >_>
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
Hn, yes and yes and yes and yes. My big thing is: I want to learn how to finish lengthier things. I got into fandom to try and do that, and it’s my goal for this year, especially.
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
Rarepairs, I think! Even when I write popular ships I usually write them in the less popular fashion haha. But mostly, I just write whatever I want, which is often a myriad of different pairings!
12. How many stories have you posted on FFNet/AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
13 stories on ffnet, and a few of those were also on my livejournal. I don’t have an exact number for livejournal, but it’s over 100. I’ve started moving some of those fics from my livejournal to ao3, now, so I’m up to 40. Only 23 of my ao3 stories aren’t also on livejournal  at this moment lol. And there are a couple of things on tumblr I haven’t moved onto ao3 yet.
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
I am unwilling to go down that dark and dangerous path. :|
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
I try and write down whatever jumps in my head, because I WILL forget things, otherwise. But I’ll spend days mulling over an idea, sometimes, before I am able to sit down and write it.
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
Back in eljay days I wrote stories with other people on occasion. Sometimes it was just writing comment fic back and forth at each other. Or writing different scenes in the same universe that went together. Nothing big.
16. How did you discover FFNet/AO3?
I know I stumbled on ffnet myself, but I don’t remember for ao3. O: Pretty certain someone told me about it, but when I had livejournal I didn’t really use anything else.
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on FFNet/AO3?
Hm, I’ve never been a widely popular anything, though I was lucky enough to have some excellent fans on eljay, who would jump fandoms with me just because they wanted to read my stuff. And folk who were incredibly kind and generous with their praise no matter how many random things I churned out haha. I’ve always been thrilled if there’s just ONE person who enjoyed a story I put out! I’m pretty easy to please!
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
My darlings!
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
Anyone who writes is an inspiration to me. I see people putting up fic and publishing novels, and I go I WANT TO DO THAT, UGH. Because I’ve always been a writer, ever since I was teeny, and have never stopped wanting to do it. I’ve always been in love with words, and stories. (As I’m sure many others can relate: I used to get in trouble in elementary school because I would read as I walked, and it was EARLY elementary school, where you had to walk in lines with your class because they were afraid they were gonna lose you, and I could read while I walked because I would just follow whoever was in front of me to wherever we were going haha)
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
It’s 100% okay if you write something, and you’re really proud of it, and you go back later -- a week, a day, a month, two years, whatever -- and think: THIS IS THE WORST. That doesn’t ever really go away, because as creators we are constantly evolving and looking to improve, and often times something that is actually quite solid and gives many readers joy will be a thing that you facepalm over, later. Use that to keep writing, and try to remember that you are most definitely your own worst critic. At the end of the day, keep doing this thing because you love it. Your work IS worthy, even when you think it should be set on fire and scattered across the deepest ocean never to be seen again!
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
A combo! Sometimes, especially for shorter things, I just get an idea, and sometimes I just think about it for a little while, and then I open a doc and I just go to town until it’s finished. Other times I start off by writing out the thoughts and building off of that, and sometimes I slip into actually writing it and then back to outlining. USUALLY I start writing a thing because I have a tiny spark of an idea, or a situation/concept I find interesting, and I have no idea where it’s going, and I just write to see what happens, and THEN I start plotting things out as I go, which can be one of the MOST frustrating ways to write a story. Anything big I’ve ever written (and I’ve written several drafts of several novels) starts out like this, where I have a random idea and I sit down and I write out whatever scenes crop up in my head, and then I start filling in the blanks, later. A lot of my longer fandom things also are like this. heading for a small disaster was me just sort of sitting around and thinking about an entirely different story, and then I had like, a half-formed idea for a single scene in my head, so I sat down and started writing chapter 1 to GET to that scene, coming up with stuff as I needed it, and by the time I hit the end of ch1 I was no where near my original idea, and had a bunch of other ideas, and THEN I started plotting things out.
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
I’m sure I have! Though I haven’t posted fandom anything for a long time, so I don’t really remember. One comment I do recall was not a BAD comment, it was a comment about a bad thing I had done in neglecting to tag something, and then I got all defensive because I was younger and even more stupid than I am now, and I was an asshole, which I regret. ):
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
Action! Also, stationary scenes with multiple people that DOESN’T have action! Okay, ANY scene that has more than one person is tricky, though two people at least helps in pacing because it’s easier to intersperse dialogue, but you add one more person into a scene and I’m laying my head on my desk and CRYING. Transition scenes are also my bane, I have the hardest time figuring out how to move from point a to b. Basically: EVERYTHING IS DIFFICULT. That’s half the fun of writing something, though.
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
Too many, but I’m trying to focus on finishing up some longer things this year. Of course, despite that having been my resolution before the year even began, I have somehow found myself with two new longer fics than WHEN THE YEAR STARTED, ugh. disaster, magic!cowboy au, lyrias center, unicorn au, soulmate tattoo au, a second part to we can make our own way, the full version of back alley complete with smut and EMOTIONS, fight club au, ot3 modern day neighbors au, and all the christmas prompts I haven’t done yet, and I have like, two more chapters of picture perfect planned out that I just haven’t written yet, I AM HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME THINNING THE HERD, I 100% come up with more ideas than ever get written, as I’m sure most writers do haha.
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
HAHAHA
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
Nah, I almost never succeed at stuff like that, and I get pissy if I fail, so I’ve learned not to put myself into that position if I can, because it just hurts my writing. I just write when I want, or when I have time even if I don’t want.
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
Hopefully! Though posting old stuff to ao3 has made me aware that my vocabulary has actually suffered over time, and I’m hoping to fix that!
28. What is your favorite story(s) that you’ve written?
I don’t entirely love anything that I’ve written. There are aspects of many things that I love dearly, though none of it really wins out against another. I’ll say: three of my orig novels are probably closest to being no 1.
29. What is your least favorite story(s) that you’ve written?
There was this one HP fic I wrote when I was like, 14?? I don’t know, but apparently I was VERY ANGRY, and wrote some really messed up stuff, and I wouldn’t mind being able to bury that shit haha. But truthfully -- I probably grew a lot from it, as embarrassing as it is to me, now. ...okay, there was a LOT of HP fic wherein I was in my DARK AND ANGSTY years, that, whew! I’m glad I’m not that person anymore haha.
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
Still writing, hopefully. :3
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
CRYING. Crying is very easy, and so is laying my head on my desk and despairing that I will ever figure out how to make things work.
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
WORKING THROUGH THE TEARS. It is very easy to give up, and mope, much more difficult to grit your teeth and wrangle a story into submission.
33. Why do you write?
Because I love the power of words. It’s magic. A written story is essentially an illusion spell. You put the right words on the page in the correct order, and behold! An entire world, with living characters, is born within the mind of a reader. And a single, minute change to any one of those words may shift the whole thing. It’s a constantly evolving formula, and full of surprises, and if you are particularly lucky and diligent you might even be able to spin an entire tale that grips people, shakes them up and makes them believe in something impossible, something that YOU created, from nearly nothing. That kind of power is pretty damned addictive.

Get-to-know the Writer
Thanks to @zsweber-studios for tagging me in this! It looks like a lot of fun!
Rules: tag 5 or more other writers. If you aren’t tagged, feel free to use these questions anyway and consider yourself tagged!
1. Short stories, novels, or poems? I’ve been told I write some fairly decent poetry, but I personally really don’t enjoy doing it.
Novels are my main focus, but mine tend to get a little too big to write easilly, so I’m trying to branch out and write two novella’s this year. On top of study, this and everything else in my life. So no pressure.
It’s going good though, I have two solid ideas and one is almost a third of the way to being complete. And if I just get one finished this year I’ll still be happy!
2. What genre do you prefer reading? Fantasy definitely. My favorite books at the moment are definitely The Red Knight by Miles Cameron (if you love Knights fighting monsters this is the book for you, Cameron really knows his armour), and Promise of Blood by Brian Mcellan, the French revolution with magic and the book that really inspired me to start writing my own gunpowder fantasy novel! (I had already started when I first read it, but it really inspired me to keep going!)
3. What genre do you prefer writing? All kinds of fantasy. I love mixing up and messing with the genre though, I don’t generally write your ‘typical’ high or low fantasy. My big novel project is to create a Fantasy Epic inspired by the Thirty Years War (In essence it’d be like Game of Thrones/ASOIAF with gunpowder.I’m also very fond of Science Fiction, but I haven’t done too much on that front in years... Might have to change that.
4. Are you a planner or a write-as-I-go kind of person? Both! I love to plan out how a world works, to make it feel lived in and real. And if I can’t write the main story for a lack of inspiration or whatever then I might just do some world building or planning.
But I only give myself a skeleton plan, the rest of the time I go where the muse takes me!
5. What music do you listen to while writing?
I love Metal and Rock. I always have and I always will. But when I write I actually listen to classical music and movie soundtracks for the most part. I listened to more metal back when I wrote Sci Fi, but Classical and soundtracks really put me in the mood for fantasy.
And yes, the Lord of the Rings Soundtrack features quite heavily in my writing playlists.
6. Fave books/movies? For movies I have a handful of true favorites. Naturally all three Lord of the Rings movies sit pretty high on this list (and how could they not!) As does the original Star Wars trilogy. Other than that I love Kingdom of Heaven (historical innacuracies aside), and Zulu (not least because of the major lack of historical innacuracies. Also despite being such an awesome movie you probably couldn’t make anything like it today unfortunately). And special mentions to Dunkirk and The Darkest Hour, two absolutely beautiful movies depicting the darkest days of the Second World War.
As for books, I’ve pretty much mentioned my favorites already (The Red Knight and Promise of Blood, and their respective series), but another honourable mention needs to go to the Skulduggery Pleasant Books!
Also a recent discovery is the Apocalypse: Diary of a Survivor series by Matt J Pike, he’s a local author and it’s set in the city I live in! (I think I died though, a comet didn’t land on my house but a tidal wave hits my suburb :/ if only I lived a couple of streets down I was on the very edge of this apocalpyse!)
7. Any current WIPs? With TRRA done I’ve kind of put a stop to writing fics on here for the time being as I have two Novella’s on the workbench and a novel. If that sounds insane, that’s probably because it is.
8. If someone were to make a cartoon out of you, what would your standard outfit be?
Now I have a reputation for loving history and being a bit of a re-enactor, that would definitely have to go into my style.
If it was a kids cartoon I’d be the guy wearing the ‘knight helmet’ in the background, but otherwise wears normal clothes all the time. The helmet never comes off.
If it was a more serious cartoon I’d like to have a sword or even my chainmail become a part of my character. The mail is really heavy but I’d wear it more often if I had more undertunics, and practiced fighting more...
Other than that, boots and cargo pants/shorts would probably be my outfit on the side.
Or full medieval garb. Depending on when/ where it’s set.
9. Create a character description for yourself: Now this is a tough one... Here goes.
He was tall and solidly built, with a short crop of fiery hair and a ruddy face. With long arms and more often than not a slouched stance. While a jolly smile always seemed to be on his lips. In fact, despite his relative youth he had something like the air of a jolly uncle about him.
10. Do you like incorporating people you actually know into your writing? In High School I wrote a Sci Fi novel, by the time I was in Year 10, my entire Year 8 class featured in the novel in some way or another, largely at their own insistance.
I wound up killing a lot of them off, because it’s hard to track that many named characters. No one cared.
More recently I don’t tend to incorporate people into my characters too much. Sometimes I’ll put bits and pieces, but it’s more likely to be mannerisms than anything else for the most part.
I put myself in there a lot though. Or bits of me.
My first novella has pretty much a self insert. Aside from the fact he was crippled in a hunting accident.
11. Are you kill-happy with characters? Not without a reason. I’ve been told in my big novel I need to kill more of the characters off, but I’ve planned out a whole series so I can’t kill them all off yet.
12. Dream job? Definitely being an author. I’d settle for part time writing part time teaching quite happily though.
13. Coffee or tea while writing? Hot chocolate. I’ve never really liked tea or coffee. Except the local brand of iced coffee because that stuff is amazing.
14. Slow or fast writer? Sometimes I’m as slow as a snail. Others... Well my novella more than doubled in size over the past fortnight and I haven’t written anything in the past four days.
15. Where/who/what do you find inspiration from? Where don’t I find inspiration?
The real world, particularly real world history is a HUGE inspiration for me. I love incorporating the weird and wacky bits of history into my stories.
Also everything I’ve ever read has probably influenced me on some level. My favorite authors in particular have done a tonne.
And some of my favorite RPers as well, because they’re basically just unpaid authors, sadly (looking at you @miss-pyrrha-nikos-isms)
16. If you were put into a fantasy world, what would you be? I will 100% be either a storytelling knight or the most absent minded wizard you have ever seen.
Either way I’ll be the jolly, big guy in the group. Who probably dies at the end for dramatic effect. :/
Although Hagrid didn’t die in Harry Potter so it’s not too set in stone.
17. Most fave book cliche? Least fave book cliche? Yet another tough one
My most favorite cliche would probably have to be the heroic last stand. I love them, I love writing them. Even if I feel dead inside if my favorite character dies in the stand. There’s something so powerful about it.
Least favorite is easilly forced romance. If there isn’t any chemistry between two characters and you throw them together because they’re your two leading characters... Also can we agree to write more wholesome relationships rather than driving a relationship through the mud to create more drama for the characters. Unless it’s a romance book because that’s their thing (to my knowledge, I’ve never read one... Unless 1984 counts... Most romantic line ever said in a book: The first time I saw you, I wanted to bash your head in with a brick.)
18. Fave places to write: At my desk. Usually around 11pm for some reason.
19. Fave scenes to write? Whatever the muse decides. Although I love battle scenes. I need to be at my A game to write them though.
20. Most productive time of day for writing? 11pm.
21. Reason for writing: I am, and always have been (since I could talk) a storyteller. It’s not that I choose to write, it’s that I have to.
Now I think aside from @hothead-carr-hayes Zack has tagged all my main writing friends on here. But if I’m forgetting you (sorry!) feel free to tag yourself!

AOS 4x20:  AKA When you have that really crazy theory that comes true AKA What the HECK just happened?!
Tumblr media
First and foremost….everyone take a DEEP breath…it’s going to be okay…that didn’t go down exactly as I thought it would or as we hoped…and pretty sure I’ve shortened my life another ten years…but there are points of hope…I did see some good…I know my ask box will beg to differ but here was some points of hope….and plus side…we have our Fitz back.  He’s in the clutches of the Big Bad still but he’s our Fitz again…yay.
So lets just dive right on in here.
Mack:  Oh dear Mack. As a parent I can’t fault him I really can’t.  Pretty sure we haven’t seen the last of Mack.  And the terrible thing is they now might have to force him out in order to save his life in the next couple of weeks.  Which is only going to hurt that much worse and make the fall out that much worse.  I’m all for Mack and Uncle Trip teaming up in the Framework to raise Hope and take down what is left of Hydra.
Radcliffe:  Well I think I can count that as a prediction coming true.  He did indeed sacrifice himself, his chance at rebirth and even immortal life, the thing he wanted most for Fitz.  He did care for him and while it doesn’t make up for what he did I do like that bit of redemption he got there at the end.  We might see him one more time if we go back to the Framework, we’ll just have to wait and see.  Though we all need to curl in a ball a little bit that good or bad Fitz lost two father figures in one episode.  Alistair said the one thing to him I doubt he ever heard from his real world counterpart, I love you.
Daisy:  Poor girl was doing what I call herding cats all episode.  Trying to keep everyone together long enough to get them all out.   Nice use of powers opening the portal. Did a good job as leader.  I’m dead with her saying goodbye to Mack  Had some nice closure with Trip, just an overall steady episode for her.  And next week it’s out of the frying pan and into the fire for her.  They are under attack (thinking Talbot is going to show up with some fancy planes to help out) and then she needs to get to where AIDA had the hostages before they die.
Coulson:  The man is going to be getting soap making kits for the rest of his life.  The Philinda was oh so strong it this episode and I really loved it. Real World Coulson is totally back!  And boy did we miss him.  Sadly mom and dad weren’t able to stop AIDA from taking off with one of the ducklings but overall that was a big big win.
May: FINALLY!   WE HAVE MAY BACK!  FOR REALSIES! Was I the only one flashing back to Garrett’s “You’d follow him to the grave” from Turn, Turn, Turn?  She followed him through the molten lava portal.  Nice bit of flirting there as they picked up without missing a beat and looking forward to them taking down Robo Superior next week…I hope.  May deserves to do some serious butt kicking here.  Once she recovers, and I do like that they had her a bit wobbly with how long she’s been in there.
Jemma:  Well Woman on fire didn’t go quite how I wanted.   Alistair going out how he did only sank Fitz deeper into the illusion and made it harder for her to get to him during their short confrontation. But here is NO DOUBT as to Jemma’s love for him.  Even with a gun to her head she wouldn’t say she didn’t love him.
I can’t say this enough.  Jemma is well aware what has been done to Fitz.  That the other hostages aside from Coulson with the Tahiti assist weren’t able to wake up.  That Fitz did wake up a little after Agnes but was pulled back in.  I personally feel the loss of his father was too much for Jemma to overcome in a short amount of time.   She knows he’s been manipulated and brainwashed.  She knows it wasn’t him.  Now that he’s been taken again she’s going to be more driven than ever to get him back…once she isn’t being blasted out of the sky.  And let’s not forget Ophelia DID NOT WANT THEM TOGETHER! SHE DID NOT WANT JEMMA ANYWHERE NEAR HIM!  Woman on fire is far from over, she has to get to him in the real world. She is not going to give up, not now not ever. They would have been separated again anyway…and this way is even more painful.  That Jemma gets to Coulson and May only to learn that AIDA has taken him…again.  I’m holding on guys.  I have faith.
Fitz:  When that really crazy theory that you had seems so crazy you request it be turned into a fic because it won’t happen…actually happens…yeah…so that actually happened.   Is it too late to take back I wanted the whole Fitznapping /Role Reversal thing?  Is is?  Okay. So let’s roll with this.  I won’t lie, I am a bit disappointed that Jemma didn’t break Fitz even a little bit there at the end.  But at the same time I see what he writers were doing that she wouldn’t deny her love for him no matter what AND giving Dadcliffe a bit of redemption.  It also needs to be noted that May and Mack didn’t remember at all either…Mack still immersed in the illusion.
BUT…our Fitz was back, as soon as he came out.  Our Fitz was there…and devastated.   To those that are upset that he didn’t mention Jemma there in that scene.  He had been out for a few moments when they cut to him, he could have woken up with her name on his lips and we didn’t get too see it.  And the poor guys was totally overwhelmed with everything.
And then Ophelia showed up and spirited him away again.  I have watched that scene a few times now and a few things stood out too me.  He did not react how Ophelia wanted.  He didn’t run to her, throw his arms around her, or kiss her (it was almost a twisted parallel of the Fitzsimmons reunion from 4.07, only he didn’t react how she wanted).   He was stunned almost in a trace. And you see him slip into that “trance” when she says Leopold.  We have a number of metas out there that we suspected there was also some sort of trigger in play with Fitz….and we had pegged Leopold as the possible trigger.   Fitz is out and able to fight back better, but she’s done a number on him, still enforcing the programming, and he’s still in her clutches.  Our Fitz is now out too and our Fitz loves Jemma.  Ophelia knows and is afraid of that.  He’s going to fight her now!
Ophelia:  Well that escalated a lot.  Did anyone have she comes to the real world with Gordon’s powers?  Me neither so kudos to the writers on getting one over on me. And Mark confirmed on twitter that those were indeed Gordon’s powers.  Now we need to be leery if she has more powers too.  If she gave herself anyone else’s powers while she was at it…Daisy, Lincoln’s, Jaiyings, Raina’s, Lash, please no Hives?  I’m still not 100% sure what her plan is here.  Taking over the world/making it into what ‘they’ (insert gagging noises) want it to be.  Though news flash lady, this Fitz isn’t going to be down with the whole take over the world thing.  She wants what she had in the Framework in the real world and that is just not going to happen, she’s still going to try, but it’s not going to happen.  She has Fitz, he is still her hostage, she has quite possibly brainwashed him and is triggering him, and she is not going to give him up without a fight.
Misc Items:
Have to say love him or hate him….I’m a bit disappointed with how they left Ward.  Is he alive?  Dead? Captured by Hydra?  On a yacht in the Bahamas?   I mean Burrows was back and we know he was helping him fight so what on earth happened to him!?
Fitzsimmons:  I realize right now a lot of the fandom is upset.  This has been a long arc and we just want them back together.  They lead us along the whole time in the Framework and then hit us with a truck of feels when they finally got reunited for only a few moments. I wholly own that I was wrong and this DID NOT go down how I thought it was going to tonight.  This episode was more of a Philinda episode than any other couple.  And that’s fine, that story needed to be resolved and it was done rather nicely.  But I was right, we got our Fitz back, it was for a few precious seconds before he was kidnapped again, but we had him back.  And he is NOT okay with what happened in the Framework and he is NOT the Doctor.  Iain said at Wondercon that The Doctor and Fitz are two different people and Fitz DOES NOT love Ophelia he loves Jemma.  And Ophelia is about to find that out.
Jemma is still out there and she is still going to stop at nothing to get him back.  Now more than ever because HER Fitz is out there all alone in the clutches of a madwoman who thinks he loves her.  I will not be shocked if Ophelia doesn’t sink the Oil rig in order to keep the team distracted saving Coulson, May, and Mace and not coming after Fitz.
I was off on the when but I maintain that the writers are building to something big with Fitzsimmons.  Have they drug it out too long?  Yeap. Is the fandom frustrated?  Yeap I won’t disagree with that.  I think now we are really seeing the effects of adding the Ghost Rider pod at the beginning of the season in this part of the arc getting crammed into the last few episodes.
That being said Fitzsimmons is one of those arcs they still need to wrap up…I can’t say if it will be in 21 or 22 but it’s happening.   I know I’m a broken record but Lil and Iain were so happy and comfortable at both Wondercon and C2E2.  And Lil is not like that if she is not happy with her story.  She said her favorite Fitzsimmons scene is yet to air because no way was it the Framework Reunion.  She would not have been like that if Fitzsimmons had a horrible end to the season.  So hang in there guys.  I know it’s hard right now.  The writers haven’t done much to earn that faith and trust here recently but I’m going to give it to them.  A lot can happen in two episodes.  The wedding talk is STILL on the table, they said that would come up again and we have a 50/50 shot at it happening next week.   I honestly won’t be shocked if the set up isn’t Fitzsimmons being the ones that run away, to elope and heal as we close out the season.
Tumblr media
What it means to be human: AIDA’s a real girl…now what.  Now she has to deal with that all at once.  Learn what the different emotions feel like. Learn the difference between love and lust.  See what she has done to Fitz.  She is going to see him struggling and wanting to get back to Jemma, fighting her and her programming if that is indeed in play.  At some point I expect for her to really stuggle with the emotions and the limitations of having a flesh and bone body.
AIDA REPLACED Jemma in his life with herself and his father, they even said he was inseparable with his father.
Okay that is what I’ve got for now.  I will pick up more as I do asks and re watch the episode.

for the letter asks, how about doing all of them? :D 💜
Thank you and ahhh that’s so much but tbh I like these asks so I’m excited to and I will haha :’D 💜
A - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.
Wow that’s way too many but my current favs would have to be Bakushima, KamiSero, OchaMomo, OchaMina, Momojirou, OjiroTooru and Todoiideku. From fandoms other than BNHA my current favs also include KidoMomo, Klance, PreciousMetalShipping, Jadeshipping, Originalshipping, TeruMob, Hector/Eliwood, Florina/Lyn, Soriku and idk there’s lots more but I’m too lazy to list everything rip.
B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.
Every day I fall farther into TodoKami hell. TogaOchaMina which I blame you for haha. OchaJirou which I blame my sister for. IzuMina which I saw in a fanfic and it was actually really adorable. A lot of BNHA rarepairs tbh
C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.
Kacchako and KatsuDeku. I have nothing against people who ship these, and I’m not gonna hate on these ships, I personally just don’t ship them.
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.
Not really anything? I’m chill with most ships even those I don’t like as long as they aren’t adult/child ships or sibling ships. So there’s no ship out there I wish I liked that I don’t already
E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?
I used to write so many crack Kingdom Hearts fics omg. And I guess It’s Murder Time and Group Chat With the Girls would be considered crack fics for BNHA haha
F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?
I’ve been in the Kingdom Hearts fandom since like middle school. Same with PokeSpe
G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?
Way too many rip. First OTP was probably Soriku if I’m remembering correctly or PreciousMetalShipping
H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)?
Anime but there is a lot of books I do like
I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Not really because I just kinda ignore the drama/discourse ^^’
J - Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.)
I can’t recall off the top of my head? Yuri on Ice, I think? Mob Psycho 100 as well I think I saw some art of it and was like oh I wonder what that is, it looks cool
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Teru and Dimple from Mob Psycho 100, I went from hating them at the beginning of the season to loving them by the end. In my opinion, from what I’ve read at least since I haven’t read all the manga, all the PokeSpe characters have amazing character development. Katsuki Bakugou from BNHA has good character development in my opinion as well because even if it’s slow, it’s realistic development.
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Kouda from BNHA deserves more love. Such a sweet boy. He’s never done anything wrong in his life. Loves animals, has a pet bunny, terrified of bugs. He’s freaking adorable and he deserves more love.
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
All the BNHA girls would be amazing friends. Kirishima and Tokoyami would be really good friends to have as well, I think
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
I wish I saw more content for rarepairs in BNHA particularly f/f ships but that’s just because I’m a slut for BNHA f/f rarepairs. Other than that, nothing really?? The fandom’s pretty good, like everyone is really nice I’ve met and there’s so many good artists and writers. Same with most of my fandoms tbh
O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?
My sister is playing Hamilton and it’s making me think of musicals so let’s go with Freeze Your Brain from Heathers and Tododeku because for some reason I can see a Heathers Tododeku AU?
P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).
*Cracks knuckles* I love AUs. Let’s see…Maze Runner AU for BNHA. The kids are all in the maze together, and Deku shows up and he’s the last one and doesn’t have a quirk unlike the rest. There’s also a group B which is Class 1B.
Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.
I haven’t really abdonded any tbh. Sometimes I forget about fandoms but I always return to them once I remember rip
R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?
I really like Bakugou/Ochako friendship and Mina/Kirishima friendship
S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)
Ahh let’s see…Random headcanons…Ok let’s just go with I have headcanon sexualities for all of BNHA Class 1A, and I headcanon Jirou as bi but leans towards girls and ace.
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?
All of Class 1A is super close, and they have a group chat. Fight me on this. There’s no way not one person in the class was like hey lets make a group chat for everyone. Also Kaminari spams it with memes. (The girls probably have a separate one too lol)
U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.
Let’s see…I really love Reigen from Mob Psycho 100 because he’s hilarious and such a great character. Kido from Kagerou Days because she’s really cool and sweet and I love her. Ahh if I have to choose Momo from BNHA because she’s really nice and smart, and I just really like her character and quirk but also Iida because I really love him too, he’s really funny and sweet
V - Which character do you relate to most?
That’s tough…I have a lot of characters I kinda relate to rip. I relate to Roxas from KH a lot for some reason because my friend and I always joke we’re like Axel and Roxas, and it kinda became a nickname for me. I also relate to Suga from Haikyuu a lot because I’m like him personality wise and I also relate to how he loves the sport he does and cares a lot for the underclassmen but also sometimes feels surpassed by them. Also from BNHA I’m kinda conflicted because I relate to a few characters? I kinda relate to Mina, Momo and Ochako tbh like different parts of their characters and stuff
W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.
I can’t think of one of the top of my head? If love triangles count as a trope then that
X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.
Again I can’t really think of one off the top of my head ^^’
Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?
Tbh most of the time if a fandom keeps showing up on my dash, I get into it lol. I guess Steven Universe since I haven’t seen all the episodes and I’m not like too into it but I do still like it?
Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)
Ahh let’s see. I don’t know why but lately I’ve been really into BNHA. Like I have other fandoms I love as well, but my main focus keeps returning to BNHA. I still love my old fandoms like KH and PokeSpe and like I keep having brief fandom moments with Fire Emblem SoV and Kagerou Days which I still love as well, but BNHA has just become my main fandom and I find the characters from it the most fun and easiest to write askjddja

Some Mob Psycho 100 Gen Fics
So call me inspired by this post by @guttersnipequeen because I’m always overjoyed to be seeing gen works getting some appreciation, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites! :’D So here are a few (with an emphasis on Mob and Reigen or Dad!Reigen, since their dynamic is my favorite ;v; ) And sorry most of these are pretty short or oneshots, I tend to have a very short attention span;;;
Also heed the warnings on these fics! They’re not all pure fluff...no romance/sex/shipping or anything like that to be found in these fics though.
I’m just going to start on @sukikobold ‘s works, because she’s a wonderful writer and literally all of her works are beautiful gen. All of them. Some favorites include:
Thorns   (one-shot)
The thorns that surrounded him were red and twisted. Every plant was so intertwined with the others, it was impossible to tell where one ended and the next one began. Or maybe they were all one plant. It didn’t make much difference.
(Such a beautifully symbolic piece for a beautifully symbolic picture, I’m extremely fond of them, oh my goodness...)
Hospital Flowers  (one-shot)
It was bad enough for Ritsu knowing that his brother had been kidnapped. He didn't think finding him would be so much worse.
(It’s nice seeing how many people worry about Mob, and I also like seeing Ritsu learning to trust Reigen a bit more :’) )
One Afternoon  (multi-chapter)
A possible answer to the question, "What would have happened if Mob had asked someone else for help with his powers?"
Aka: An AU where Mob and Reigen don't meet until the present day.
(Not finished yet, but it’s already plenty heartwarming and I’m very interested to see what this story is building up to!)
Now as for some other gems I’ve found in this awful mess of an AO3 tag:
Three  by Ravenesta (multi-chapter)
The staff of Salt Middle School consider Kageyama Shigeo's third emergency contact.
(First gen fic I found and liked for this series! It’s really interesting seeing character studies from the outsider POV of a well written OC. Plus the ending is precious <3 )
99  by entrenched (two-shot, part of a series I haven’t made it all the way through yet but it is indeed all gen)
In which Mob & Reigen ask the same question: Will you forget me?
(Oh mannnn...really sweet but melancholic fic, this one breaks my heart in all the best ways ;~; )
Symbiosis  by  ruthwrites (multi-chapter)
In the aftermath of the night fighting Claw's 7th Division, Mob's powers return to him. However, something unknown is left behind with Reigen. Something that doesn't want to remain there. And someone begins to take notice of the strange psychic activity coming from the Spirits and Such Consultation Office.
(Or: in which Reigen is saddled with ???%, and things go poorly for all involved.)
(Woo, okay, REALLY COOL fic here, full of some interesting headcanons and theories (some horror too, be careful) The last few chapters kept me on the edge of my seat! I love the descriptions and characterizations soooo much, and I was also happy to get a sort of Psychonauts-ish vibe from the end scenes which I don’t wanna specify because spoilers lol)
On Glass Shoulders by NotHereForIt (two-shot)
Mob is not answering his phone.
And Reigen really does not want to be the one to tell the Kageyamas that he lost their kid while on an exorcism job.
(Admittedly, I was a liiittle iffy on the premise at first glance, but after reading...dang I think I’m in love with this one really. Wonderfully in character, protective Reigen, good fluff, the return of Reigen lecturing bad guys and being awesome in general...plus a surprise follow up chapter update recently to nicely wrap things up! What more could I ask for really? )
When You Need Me  by SpiritusRex (multi-chapter)
Five times Mob hugged Reigen, and one time Reigen hugged Mob.
( Gosh this one’s so good and sweet, and I can see these happening in canon too! They actually fix/add a few scenes that I think should have happened; all very good, I’m always excited to see a new installment :’D Annnd I know it was already mentioned on the linked post, but @ghoststrawberries /SpiritusRex and @starsfadingbutilingeron /GlowingArrowsInTheSky also made the adorable  A Cat Named Milk fic series, SO precious and pure, oh man...I had to put it here still, I had to ;v;)
Lysis  by caratcake (one-shot)
The boy stared, his eyes holding the immeasurable depth of black holes, empty but all-encompassing. He lifted his hand, and the man tightened his grip on his charm. The boy did not reach for it. Instead, he splayed his hands palm up, eyes directed upwards -
“There is no rain.”
(Super short but super beautiful Serizawa-centric fic, I loved reading it!)
Influential  by macrauchenia (multi-chapter)
Alternatively, "Five times Reigen inadvertently adopts an esper and the one time he actually realizes what he's gotten himself into."
(There’s only one chapter of this so far but it already looks very promising, so I’ll go ahead and put it here! :’D)
As for @phantomrose96 , I feel like her angst fics get talked about alot, and for good reason too (I’m sure you all have seen me yelling about A Breach of Trust at some point or another asdhureiregh), but I sometimes like to remind myself she can write some really good fluff when she wants to...this is one of those times. A compilation of my faves of her gen fluff ficlets (these are Tumblr links btw): The Butterfly Test ,  A Condensed Guide to Living With Psychics: by Arataka Reigen ,  Scribbled-Out Shopping Lists ,  Gold Stars ,  The Business of Telling Lies ,  Smoke
Chiasmus  by fireflysummers (two-shot)
In the end, Mob can’t protect other people from himself. In the end it all comes to a head, and when he wakes up people have died. It doesn’t matter who they were or what they were trying to do. It doesn’t matter that his life, and the lives of those most important to him were at stake. All that matters is that he failed.
So, in his despair, he builds a cage and willingly walks into it.  His vessel sleeps, and he knows that the others may mourn him for a while, in the end it’s better this way. The others, however, aren’t going to let that stand.
Even if they have to go in after him.
(Another tumblr link, it’s not on AO3, but I definitely felt like I should put it here; rather short, but very beautiful and extremely heartfelt. Also accompanied with amazing art!)

check in tag 💌
thank you @stayjimin for the tag!
1. why did you choose your URL?
actually, @kidcoredreamz helped me choose it! really it was 100% her idea, i remember her typing it up in the car and me being like YES THAT. thank you btw haha! (dulce means sweet in spanish, btw. and pjm is for jimin lol)
2. any sideblogs? if you have them, name them and why you have them?
none! i’d like to start a fic rec blog soon though but it’ll mostly be for me to organize my favorites so i can easily find them again
3. how long have you’ve been on tumblr?
i’ve been on tumblr since i was like 14 or 15 but didn’t start this blog until like january or february of this year? something like that
4. do you have a queue tag?
i may have tagged something with “q” like once? but no, not really. but a lot of my reblogs are queued (this is probably queued too lol)
5. why did you start your blog in the first place?
wellllll basically i discovered tumblr fanfiction. and realized that i could like start writing again for an audience who shared interests with me while also engaging with fandom content. so yeah i want to develop my writing skills and also fangirl so here we are haha
6. why did you choose your icon?
because jin is adorable. can we all just take a moment to look at how cute he is?
7. why did you choose your header?
because it was so cute!! i’d been wanting to revamp my theme and masterlist for a minute (go look if you want to!) and those colors made me think of rainbow sherbet (which i LOVE) so i went with it
8. what’s your post with the most notes?
pretty much certain it’s drunk in love. but i try not to pay too much mind to the numbers because then i will stress and start to equate that with value and it’s just a mess
9. how many mutuals do you have?
uhhhhhh like an embarrassingly small amount lmao. but i love them all and try to be friends with them!
10. how many followers do you have?
i don’t think i’ll share this just because i don’t want anyone to gain a sense of superiority or inferiority from my follow numbers. tbh i think it’s all a bit meaningless. it’s fun, i just don’t want it to be indicative my blog’s success or value. i’ll def celebrate blog milestones though! just won’t specify.
11. how many people do you follow?
50. i mostly follow writers that i like so i can easily find them again, and a few gifmakers who i love
12. have you ever made a shitpost?
...yes. you can find them under “#naomi is weird”
13. how often do you use tumblr each day?
a whole lot lmao. i read so many mega oneshots a day and it’s sad
14. did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? who won?
uh no. lowkey sounds fun though. i need some drama (KIDDING conflict makes me cry)
15. how do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?
honestly i’m not entirely sure what this means, i haven’t seen this before. but i do believe that no one owes anyone reblogs, i don’t like when people act like they’re owed that. they’re nice!! but not required. but i don’t think that’s what this is referring to. i’m not super familiar with tumblr as a site, i’ve always just been here to write and hang out.
16. do you like tag games?
yes !! but sometimes i’m forgetful so please don’t take it too personally if i don’t participate!! i apologize
17. do you like ask games?
yes!! oh so much. but i’m always too scared to ask people to do them lol maybe one day…
18. which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?
oh gosh you’re all famous to meeee ;) but @alpacaparkaseok can attest that i absolutely wigged out when she reblogged my mlist lmao
19. do i have a crush on a mutual?
yes let’s all get married!! no one is safe from my marriage proposals :))
and doing the other game sounds fun so here are my ults :)) idk if i have a “looks” type lol but i DEF have a personality type lmao but i’m not sure if it’s evident here
