I like to think that, much as Aral Vorkosigan of the Vorkosigan Saga gives a yearly lecture to military academy students on honor and when it’s important and required to disobey illegal orders, sometime starting in the Third Age, returned!Celebrimbor gives a lecture once a decade or so to apprentices of every craft on What Not To Do in Sub-Creation. It consists mostly of these slides:

LISTEN. I KNOWWW that the polls haven't even started, but I'm impatient, ok, I'm just putting this out there now cause I can't take it..... anyways - I've seen people do powerpoints as a way to campaign for their blorbos in the various polls that have been going on, so!! I thought I'd do one of my own for the @autismswagsummit ^^ as I simply can't pass on any chance to be brainrotted over this series, it seems...

Prefers following a routine. One of his biggest conflicts with Reigen literally arise from the man often calling him out of the blue and making him suddenly adapt, which Mob finds really annoying/upsetting;

Struggles in school. Explicitly bad at math, japanese and PE (really passionate about the latter tho), which could be for a variety of reasons, autism related conditions (like dyscalculia/dyslexia/dyspraxia) being one of them;

Has felt like an outcast for most of his life. Even if he grew up in a pretty loving environment, he recognizes that he is different to others, and people sometimes treat him as such (in a /neg way);

His main arc is about overcoming trauma and… just masking (and how to stop doing it), pretty much, lol."

The fifth slide, in contrast, is mostly just images, placed upon a white background. The title for this one is "Alternatively, just look at him:"

"Well, to answer the first thing relevant to this question… no, he’s not actually confirmed canon autistic. But c’mon.. it’s so obvious. This kid is not fucking allistic like c’monnnn

Of course, what people consider good and bad rep is gonna vary from person to person. But to explain why a lot of people see him as very positive rep:

"1) He’s the main character, so he gets the most spotlight, and the narrative is formed around his pov, in that we only see things that are relevant to Mob, and visually things are often represented in the way Mob sees them as well (take the body improvement club or Tsubomi, for example), which puts all viewers soundly in his shoes and makes him easy to relate to and sympathize with, and makes it clear how important his emotions and view of things really are;"

On the right of this are 3 images against a white background. The first one is a screenshot of the Body Improvement Club - 5 very buff and large dudes - standing against an explosively red and yellow background, with all of them enthusiastically flexing. The caption below that is "The body improvement club! ...they're supposed to be middle schoolers lol".

The next two, below the first one, are two screenshots of Tsubomi. The one on the left has her smiling, her eyes wide and bright, the background being pastel pinks and yellows. "2) He’s a very well rounded character, with well thought out strengths, flaws, motives, and his overall story is very cohesive and satisfying; 3) His autistic traits are portrayed neutrally – in both where they help, and where they can cause conflict. It balances between him learning what things he would benefit to address and deal with, and what things he shouldn’t be trying to change at all, and as the whole message of the show emphasizes – he is no more or less special than anyone, no more or less of a person – he is simply human, and his autistic traits are just part of what makes him himself."

This one has images next to it as well. The first one is a screenshot of Reigen looking towards the camera (at an off-screen Mob), hand to his chin, eyebrow raised and smiling, some food crumbs still stuck to his face, as he says: "Today you happened to save some people that only you could have saved." Next to it is the annotation: "Reigen reassuring Mob about how his inability to read the room and feel empathy actually can be a huge benefit sometimes :)"

are not merely reading glasses, but full-blown prescription-grade lenses that he steadily refuses to wear because he had a hard enough time as a (gay) (autistic) child and didn't need the added mockery of needing a device to see in the 18th century, when glasses were not common devices yet

considering how this man deemed it necessary to have an entire LIBRARY on board, his penchant for escapism, and, again his history of being bullied, i think its reasonable to assume that stede has spent most of his life reading. that a lot of that reading, too, occurred by candlelight, and that this has rapidly deteriorated his vision

rather than wear glasses, though, even as an adult, he simply goes through the world with blurry vision, only bringing out his glasses for rare occasions. he doesn't even READ with them on, even though it would greatly help him. he has a mental block about using them, and they often collect dust in a drawer

#so for context #(this is going to be quite long) #I live in a house (college residence) and we do social events and stuff together to build unity through the trauma of academic pressure #one of these social events is darb talks/PowerPoint karaoke #where for darb talks you can give a presentation on literally anything you want #I’ve done a half hour long speedrun of Kirby lore #and I’ve also done a presentation on the undertake multiverse and sanses #expecting it to be haha funny for one night and then never brought up again #and so there’s another thing at this college called ditch day #and for ditch day seniors plan activities for underclassmen to skip class doing #it’s like an officially registered school event and teachers are obligated #to give us extensions for our problem sets and such #there is also fitch day #which is fake ditch day where you don’t actually get to skip classes and it only takes place in the morning #and these are usually just the seniors messing with us for their entertainment #so they did. a bunch of sans themed events. #not even undertake. themed #just sans themed #targeted specifically at causing psychic damage to me #there was also a fingers in his ass Sunday singalong at the end of it #truly a time

Peter didn't know what made him go to the superior's tower for help. None of their previous interactions made him think the man wouldn't just give him over to the Sinister Six, or whatever they called themselves, maybe he would even kill Peter himself. Spider-man has always an annoying pest to the man after all. But he was bleeding heavily with multiple broken bones and nowhere else to go before he passed out. Which he promptly did, right on the superior's balcony, specifically right on the man's lap due to his web-shooters breaking before he could land properly.

If he was honest with himself Peter didn't think he would wake up after that, much less wake up in a, no doubt extremely expensive, bed with his injuries cleaned and bandaged. 

And his masked removed. 

Panic welled up inside him. The superior iron man, aka Tony Stark the man with an omniscient AI, knew what he looked like and no doubt had found out everything about Peter Parker. Everyone he cared about was now in danger because he was stupid enough to fall into a trap where the only possible point of safety was a supervillain's home.

But then the man surprised him, he acted nothing like any other supervillain would after discovering Spider-man's secret identity. Oh Peter still didn't trust Stark as far as his Aunt May could throw him but it was nice, not feeling the need to hide a part of himself as he healed. And having someone he could talk to about his activities as Spider-man without having to censure what he says about himself.

As the days went by and Peter healed he found himself enjoying the time he spent with Tony more and more. The older man seemed to genuinely like him and Peter realised he could honestly say he felt the same. It's just a shame the man was a villain. Although as they talked Peter found himself agreeing more and more with the man about some of the reasons for his missions.

And compared to some of the things SHIELD and their so called heroes did Tony's actions didn't seem that outrageous. They almost always lead to less or even no civilian casualties than whenever Captain America and the Avengers were sent out on SHIELD missions, in fact most of the casualties that happened during their battles always seemed to happen when the Avengers came on the scene. Whenever he fought Tony by himself there was never anything like the number of deaths caused, often there weren't any.

So when a few weeks later Tony declared him healed and ready to return home Peter had made up his mind. The pair of them obviously like the other so why couldn't Peter stay a while longer? It wasn't like they were really on opposite sides any more now were they. 

There weren't many things that could shock THE Tony Stark, but Peter's declaration that he was on Tony's side seemed to be one such surprise. But a pleasant on if the older man's smile was anything to go by
