Lost Fic #171
1. once I came across a fic where heaven told aziraphale to "cure" crowley and make him an angel again or they would kill him (crowley), and at first tried to do it secretively but eventually came clean and the whole process was extremely damaging to crowley's self esteem. I'm pretty sure he came clean, anyway? I didn't actually read it - just took a skim of the last chapter - because that kind of dynamic was the LAST thing I wanted to explore in their relationship. I still don't want to read it. I just want to comment and ask the author how it feels to be right. - @hakureiryuu
2. Hi mods! I was hoping you could please find a fic for me? Unfortunately, it's a bit vague, but I think it was a Crowley was Raphael fic where at some point (after falling) Crowley comforts Michael but she doesn't realise it's her sibling. I think they were in a crater or on another planet or something. Thanks in advance, but no worries if not! - anon
3. Good evening! Thank you so much for all the wonderful work you all have done!! Today, I am looking for a fic that was largely in Aziraphale's POV, but what was most memorable for me, and the reason I was looking for it was a scene near the middle where it shifts to Crowley's POV driving in the bentley, imagining and reimagining scenarios with Aziraphale, going to the Ritz for their anniversary, and Aziraphale calling him my dear, my dear, and eventually, my darling. And at these moments he imagines, he speeds up his driving and steps on the accelerator with "my darling" echoing in his mind. In his drive-daydream, he acts all suave in front of a blushing Aziraphale, who considers him his darling, and eventually "to the world" becomes "to us". When he reaches the bookshop after his mad drive, Aziraphale is wearing something cute to keep himself warm and Crowley is enamored with him. Gosh the whole scenario is adorable! I'd like to find it again, and it would be awesome to have your help!! - @purple-patches
4. Hiya! I was hoping you could help me find a fic! I don't remember a whole awful lot about it, but it features Aziraphale, Crowley, and a female angel whose name escapes me, and the plot is basically that Crowley was *part* of Raphael and the female angel is trying to convince him to reclaim the half of Raphael that is still comatose up in Heaven. I recall that the Dowlings were involved briefly, and that Aziraphale/Crowley passed the other angel off at their adult daughter who was in the military/traveled a lot. Any help is appreciated! Ty! - anon
5. I am looking for a crossover from good omens and supernatural that was on ao3. Aziraphale and crowley are husbands and have the gift from god from both hell and heaven. So the most powerful being. And the winchester brothers have scripts written in henoric. They need help from the angle to translate it and they summond crowley to contact him. He does help them with crowley but his side. They found the last dcript paper is so dtrong that it can destroy everything and they take them to the garden. - anon
If you know any of these fics please include the number in your reply! Thank you :)

"He's gonna sell it all 'cause he's Danny Phantom"
that's so fucking funny, i hate how much i love this!! i have made it way too long, rip to my five sentence rule - there's such a goldmine of content here lmao
👻
"I'd say it's been going on for... about a month now?"
"Two months," Sam interrupts. "It started just after your parents came in, remember?"
"Oh, Ancients, yeah, them. I can't believe I forgot that."
"Yeah, dude, it's thanks to them that this all started!" Tucker's practically vibrating in his chair, far too cheerful about the whole thing.
"Yeah," Danny sighs, looking directly into the camera. "Thank you, Mom and Dad. Thank you very much."
"Danny's parents are ghost hunters, which, as you can imagine, got Michael very excited. And very into ghosts. He accused Meredith of haunting him the other day, now he keeps spraying her with holy water and yelling 'Begone, foul spectre!' He's really taken a liking to Danny's parents."
"Can't imagine why."
"Yeah, and then—then—" Tucker dissolves into laughter, wheezing as he tries to catch his breath. "Then he brings in that personal trainer! In her yoga pants and crop top, with a pilates ball and everything! Sends her over to—to see Meredith, and then—oh Ancients—then when the woman leaves and Meredith is still there, he locks himself in his office and blasts the Lord's Prayer!"
"We think he mispelt exorcist. Hired someone in exercise instead."
"Exorcists are all phoney, anyway! And PTs are only slightly less phoney, so make sure you do your research and get someone that actually knows what they're doing before you commit, kids." Danny says, pointing down the camera. "That's how I got so jacked."
Both Sam and Tucker share a look before bursting into even more laughter. With a soft smack on his arm, Sam can't help but tease, "Please, you're 5'4" and look like you'd break your arm if you ever picked up a ream of paper. No wonder your sales are so low."
"Wow, that's so rude. I can't believe you'd do me like that. I'm 5'4 and a half, thank you."
"That's right, babe, and we love you for it."
Their laughter peters out and the trio slowly pull themselves upright in their chairs, remembering the cameras and the story they're meant to be telling.
"Honestly, thanks to these guys, the past few weeks have been a nightmare."
"Now who's being rude? At least this is one of those fun nightmares that you can laugh about later."
"Nope, this is a normal nightmare that everytime you think you've woken up from, you get back to work and see your boss dressed up in a hazmat suit that your parents sent him and realise that actually, maybe the real nightmare was the work colleagues you made along the way."
"Oh. Yeah, that sounds about right, sorry, Danny."
Tucker puts him on the shoulder and stays silent for a grand total of five seconds before turning back to the camera with an ecstatic grin on his face and a deep breath.
"Anyway, everytime one of us goes into Michael's office, we sneak something off his desk and blame ghosts. Sam's hidden some speakers in the ceiling that play recordings of her crying on a timer."
"I should have been an actor. I also got some of the warehouse guys in on it, so everytime Michael goes down there they'll throw a box or two around and make some ghostly moans. Didn't even ask why, they just agreed."
Sam's back to looking very proud of herself. Danny's back to cradling his head in his hands.
"Is that why Boxy's been about lately? Guys, seriously? I need to sleep!"
The only answer he gets is a shrug as Tucker turns back to the camera.
"Oh, and I've also installed a script on his computer so that whenever he types the word 'ghosts'—or 'goats', again, he's not really great at typing—his screen starts getting all staticky and closes down. He shrieks everytime, it's so funny!"
"I wonder if he'll go with a different PT to exercise his office next?"
"We should suggest P90X—your office ghost free in three months or your money back!"
Sam and Tucker are both burst into laughter, sinking deeper into their chairs as Danny just shakes his head. It takes a solid minute for the two to calm down, and more than one pointed question from the producer to get them back on track.
"Where's it going? Does it really have to go anywhere? Can't the joy of the bit be destination enough?"
"I wish it would go away," Danny groans, still not lifting his head. "I get enough of ghost hunting in my free time, I don't need it here, too."
"I've changed Danny's employee file to list him as deceased just to see how long it takes Michael to notice."
"Seriously? Tucker, really? That's—"
"Genius, Tuck. And then we can be all: 'Michael, what are you on about? Danny's been dead for three years!' I can't wait to see his face!"
"You guys know that Dwight's going to actually try to end me if he finds out, right? Pretty sure Dad slipped him a Fenton blaster before he left."
"You know what they say," Tucker says, grinning directly down the camera, "'Gaslight, Ghost them, Get pranked, boss!'"

Gregory is Michael Afton Theory
Bonus (4/4)
Gregory being Michael allows Mike to have a better dad.
The save stations have Helpy on them, and Michael knows Helpy from Pizza Sim.
If Gregory is C.C, shouldn’t it show the Fredbear plush?
Michael has a chance to beat PeePaw up with a crowbar.
After working to stop his father for so long, Michael deserves this.
Gregory doesn’t have to be an animatronic for this theory!
Michael could have been reincarnated or something similar.
If not an animatronic, Michael gets his organs back. He could eat again.
Link to Google Doc with entire theory in once place & Game Theory's Gregory theories: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c2jvwePYHwvmc1DoaqY9qPpczOL9njJL9jiH1tN0qtw/edit?usp=sharing
I didn't reply to the first pieces since you linked the doc here BUT full analysis under the cut
So I'm gonna start by saying this is one of the strangest (in a good way) and most interesting SBB theories I've ever been prosed. Honestly if I was someone who wasn't so ingrained in the lore due to my AUs, I would probably believe this as near infallible. It's THAT well thought out (And this is coming from someone who doesn't really Like Game Theory cause they've been known to kinda pull rabbits from hats, if you know what I mean)
Now I will be overly analytical and pick this apart as my neurons fire a mile a minute
Physical Appearance
While I can see the resemblance, half of the FNAF canon roster is either brown haired or hinted to have dark hair (excluding some of the blonde Aftons and also William, depending on who you ask)
Most of the canon characters are also big fans of Foxy (See Phone Guy for example; I'm pretty sure Foxy is/was Scott's favorite back in the original games. He was also terrified of Bonnie funny enough)
Personality
The Gregory being agitated thing is true, but also, can you REALLY blame him? His entire situation is pretty stressful, I think I'd be a real asshole in that premise as well. Michael's sarcasm has been a known point for sure, the dude canonically loves soap operas he's probably the snarkiest dude around (and I love him for it)
All of this tick marks tbh are just sorta occupational. Gregory not trusting anyone makes sense because he's an orphan who apparently was treated poorly in the streets. OF COURSE he doesn't really like adults, least of all adults in uniform. Michael is paranoid at work because he works in a setting where the robots are trying to kill him
The destroying the bots thing is, again, very understandable. Gregory spent the night trying to survive, he could care LESS how the robots feel. He wants them to stop trying to kill him! Same with Michael, they've fucked him over and its not like theyre living things. Getting rid of them wouldnt be much of a moral dilemma
Storyline
Gregory knows that Freddy has a stomach hatch because its common knowledge. His stomach hatch is for birthday cakes, which means it's perfectly logical for him to know it exists. In the same vein, he would know hiding inside it would be dangerous. Its meant for cake, not kids! Gregory was bold to even attempt it imo but he's a very reckless kid
The family one is SO GOOD but also, unfortunately, can easily be debunked as a basic voiceline for lost children. It's a super mall, children probably get lost all the time. The best way to lure a child (according to William) is to mention their family/things they like. It worked for him, it would work for fan favorite robots
I think thee reason why Gregory seems so adult is because, well, it IS a scripted game. But everything Gregory does is basically spoonfed to him by Freddy, so I don't think it's more so that he's overly smart or working on prior knowledge, its just hes good at context clues and following instructions
I have my own gripes about the Parts and Service system, but for game sake Gregory only succeeds cause failing means death. But yeah all my homies hate P&S
In universe, it would make sense that Gregory hates the Franchis cause....Fazbear Ent fucked up ALOT for a VERY LONG TIME. Most people still hate them, as evident from when HandUnit/Dread Unit just sorta always mentions "forget the past us" and shit like that. It's like being in our universe and hating Amazon for Bezos. Same concept, totally understandable.
The van thing is just funny, I love that one. Little baby driving heehee
My biggest problem with the theory is the gaps. While we don't know FOR SURE when everything takes place, the general consensus is FNAF 3 takes place in 2020 (and if you're one of the Michael is the Fnaf 3 protag believers, that's pretty significant) and SUPPOSEDLY, Pizzeria Simulator most likely takes place between 2023-onward, with Security Breach really close on the heels of it since It's built over the Pizza Place where Henry, William, and Michael all initially die. If Gregory is as old as most fans assume/agree (11-9) then there's no way he can be a reincarnation of Michael cause Michael didn't actually die/lost his remnant until Pizzeria Simulator, and then SB takes place less than 5 or so years after that (According to most theories)
I think its way more plausible that Gregory is a reincarnation of Evan/Crying Child and FREDDY is Michael, because not only does that give us a way better theory premise but it also closes out the Afton family storyline, with the two sons teaming up against their father. Gregory being different personality wise to Evan/the Crying child could easily be explained by Evan getting corrupted by Cassidy's negative remnant before she forced him out during the events of UCN/FNAF3. Could also just be the Afton sass if you wanted to be really dig into it. I could probably go on forever about that theory since I've been thinking about it for a while now
BUT in conclusion while I really like this theory, there's too many holes to really convince me to latch to it like I do other theories. Then again, it IS just a theory. A game theory

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 65
Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester/Gridlock
"Are You There God? It's Me, Dean Winchester"
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: If what that hunter(?) did didn't work against...ghosts??? What makes you think I'M gonna be able to take it down??
Look. Honestly? Dean's got a HELL of a point here. It's one thing for a church to preach that we all have a mission from god or whatever. It's QUITE ANOTHER to have a LITERAL ANGEL tell you that god has WORK THAT ONLY YOU CAN DO. I'd be freaked out, too, and Sam and Bobby are being really really casual about it
It's really weird that Ruby is now being played by Jared's real life wife. And...like...I just feel like if you didn't want people to ship your stars with supernatural beings you shouldn't have given Sam a flirtationship with Meg and then cast his wife as Ruby?? I dunno...
The script writers are magical. The boys and Bobby go to the house of the hunter from the first five minutes because she's not answering her phone and she wouldn't ignore something like this (allegedly. I don't know. We've never met her before now.) When they get there, Bobby tries calling other hunters for backup and tells the boys that no one else is answering either.
Sam: Somethings up, huh?
Bobby: (sarcastically) Ya think?
You didn't HAVE to make Sam sound absolutely idiotic, but you did it anyway
The hunters have become the hunted...but what is hunting them?
Bobby telling the boys that a couple of other hunters that he visited redecorated...in red, and my first instinct is "oh, do they run a children's hospital?"
Uh oh...The drop in temperature can't be good. I don't believe this is strictly vengeful spirit shit. There's gotta be something BEHIND that.
Who're the creepy The Shining (not really) twins that came after Bobby??
Oh...REAL Meg's here. Oh that poor girl.
So, it is just people they failed to save? There's something about the symbol on Meg's hand...I know that's gonna be important, but what IS it?
I KNEW it wasn't REAL vengeful spirit shit. Someone DID THIS to them. And now we're getting closer to the end game of what was supposed to be the full run of the show...you know, before they tacked on ten. more. seasons.
Sitting in 2023 hearing Dean scoff at gas being $5 a gallon as a sign of the apocalypse is very *stares into the middle distance* (sure, right now it's under $3.50 for me here, but......)
I'm sorry to say this on International Women's Day, but...the actress who currently plays Meg is not a pretty crier. She's got an off-brand Renee Zellweger way of crying that's just not eliciting the emotions it's trying to from me.
I'm not so predictable that I'm gonna comment on whatever the concoction was that Dean threw into the fireplace turned the fire BLUE because I know it had nothing to do with Dean and everything to do with the properties of the concoction plus the incantation Bobby was doing BEFORE Dean had to be the one to throw it....but....I will MENTION it JUST A LITTLE BIT
Dean: I almost got my heart ripped out of my chest!
Cas: But did you die??
I can't help but ALSO contextualize alongside Good Omens. Almost half expect Cas to say that god's plan is ineffable
The softening of Castiel's character is so funny. Because right now, I'm legitimately intimidated by him saying "I dragged you out of Hell. I can throw you back in." But I also know that later he's going to interrogate a cat and call *checks notes* the archangel Michael an assbutt
"Been On My Mind...": No, unless you count Dean's denial that he got "groped by an angel." (We're definitely winding down to the end of this segment, me thinks)
"Gridlock"
The only thing I remember about this episode is there's a scene with kittens crawling all over the Doctor...but then...that might have been strictly a behind the scenes gif I saw. We'll find out!
Oh, Doctor...it was cute to take Rose to New Earth after what your earlier regeneration did to her on their first trip, but taking Martha there...come on.
I know the Face of Boe is an ally to the Doctor, so why...is he sending the cat lady with what I can only assume is a laser gun after him??
Also, fitting (in a "the Doctor treats Martha like a poor replacement for Rose and not her own person" way) that they've been dropped in the lower levels of New New York *rolls eyes* I honestly just get mad at him for his treatment of her.
Yeah, bet you feel like shit now, Doctor...
Look, I'm not saying I'd buy feelings (literally, purchase emotions or statuses), but how is this the vendors' fault? They didn't do anything that got Martha kidnapped. They're simply providing a service
Wait. Wait. Wait. Is the implication that the human woman and the cat man had a litter of straight up kittens two months ago? Someone get me a Punnet Square!
How are married lesbians such a "modern concept" when you ARE A CAT MAN MARRIED TO A HUMAN WOMAN?! He literally called them SISTERS. BRUH.
There's something oddly reminiscent of the early days of covid with this episode, and it didn't hit me til the broadcast started playing a song that everyone on the motorway started singing. Everyone's in little pods sanctioned off from every other being, you never even actually see the people you're closest (physically or emotionally) to unless they're in your very small circle (of literally one or two others), there are superficial shows of being together (with some genuine ones), but there are still enough people who will take advantage of anything and everything they can get their hands on to make their own life easier...and also?? the government is completely failing them. The Doctor questions whether ANYONE has ever seen a police vehicle or ambulance.
Amazing how the Doctor forgot for a second that the cat nun nurses were growing people to hold all of New Earth's diseases...............
Oh fuck. I 1000% forgot that this was an episode about a virus that mutated...well, no fucking wonder the covid parallels stood out...
OH! OHHHHH!!! THE WAY THE ONE LOW KEY ON THE PIANO IS PLAYING IN SUCH WONDERFUL PERFECT 4:4 TIME!!! AS THE FACE OF BOE TELLS THE DOCTOR HE IS NOT ALONE. True, it's not the exact tempo as the sound of drums but FUCK is it delicious anyway
Ugh...THANK YOU, MARTHA. THANK YOU FOR DEMANDING BETTER FOR YOURSELF.

Alright then, on another note, here is an ask that will hopefully prove a bit less potentially gear grinding (aka. one that will NOT involve anything Star Wars):
Thoughts on the final seasons/series finales for Game of Thrones and Supernatural? Figured this would be worth an ask since I know you like both shows and the aforementioned final seasons/series finales sent a LOT of heads rolling to put it lightly among both critics and fans.
GoT:
I thought the last episode of Game of Thrones was as good as it could be, given what they had done in the previous two episodes (which really didn't work for me).  While I do buy the idea that Dani would burn the whole city after knowing that she had won.  I found the execution to be tremendously forced.  My guess - and that's all it is - is that the showrunners talked with GRRM about how he planned to end it, but didn't actually have any pages to read.  So one could argue whether that was indeed the right ending - but you can guarantee that in the novel (assuming it ever comes out), it will all be better motivated.
I thought the season as a whole was wildly uneven.  The episode covering the night before the White Walkers attacked was fucking great.  The episode where they did attack was... I'd have done a few things differently.
Supernatural: I dropped the show after AU Michael possessing Dean killed Lucifer. The entire fight that series creator Erik Kripke built up for five seasons - and it didn't even break a window.
I did watch the final episode and I thought it was very weak. I'll give points to Jensen for spinning in awful script into a great performance. I understand they were filming during COVID, and in theory I am not against one or both Winchesters dying to close it out. But in practice - in execution - it fell flat on it face. Ultimately, I don't think Andrew Dabb should have been promoted to showrunner after season eleven and I definitely don't believe he should have been the guy to steer the ship home.

hi
Enter Mr. DiMaggio
Tom hasn't sent you a copy of the new song yet, has he?
I don't think it's finished.
Great.
Three weeks till we start rehearsing,
we've only got eight songs and half the book.
You know, Derek, I've been reading a lot about Marilyn,
and watching the DVDs,
and I'd really like it if…
I'd really like to get together sometime
and just work on her.
Well, that's what we're doing, darling.
//
I know what happened. I didn't get the part.
Look, the script and the songs aren't even finished yet.
There's a lot of changes coming fast.
We just needed someone with more experience with that.
Well, she's lucky.
It's a great part, and the songs are amazing.
So, how do you feel about being in the ensemble?
Well, it's a terrific opportunity. // It's a great project, and the music is incredible.
When does it start?
Well, it's a workshop,
so they haven't finished casting it
or even writing it, so their dates are flexible.
It's one of those.
Wait, one of what?
Just you end up missing a lot of shifts with those things.
And you know they pay next to nothing, right?
And you're already taking this weekend off?
I'm going to Iowa for a baby shower.
Yeah.
If you're gonna keep doing a lot of those workshops,
that's the kind of thing that goes out the window.
Doesn't it want to be a little more ballad-y?
I like the Sinatra swing idea.
I just think it… I think it needs more heart.
I think it sounds amazing.
Thank you, Ellis.
Here, let me do that for you.
I know, I know, I'm going.
I have to get the dry-cleaning.
And you have to be at the dentist at 4:00.
No, no, no!
You're doing it.
I'm getting my teeth cleaned.
"No, no, no."
I like him. Why do you not like him?
I don't have to like everybody.
You don't like Derek.
Do you like Derek?
I do, actually.
You like Derek.
I think he's talented.
You know what?
Those two tigers that ended up eating siegfried and Roy were talented too.
That's ridiculous.
It's not ridiculous, it's true.
That was a tragedy.
That's my point.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
That's all Joe and Marilyn wanted.
They just wanted to be a normal couple.
That's not all they wanted.
At this moment, in this song, it is.
Speaking of Joe, Eileen and Derek apparently went to see
Michael at that Bruno Mars thing down at La Mama.
They loved him.
Well, if he's doing // How many more do I need to see?
My eyes are about to start bleeding.
We can take a five and start talking offers.
Yeah, that sounds brilliant.
Okay.
These are our top picks
for DiMaggio, Arthur Miller, and JFK. // incredible selling stuff sounds amazing oxford bleeding swing simple idea long shot workshop pay showbiz gift for me can i ask a question im fine
They made an offer to Michael.
I'm telling you, Tom, it's a long shot.
He's not gonna do it.
There she is.
What happened to the beard?
Your mom hated it.
Look at you. You need help, mom?
Let me get that, honey. Y-you go on in.
Okay.
Bring half of New York with ya?
// I didn't get the lead, but it was a total long shot anyway.
I'm gonna be in the ensemble. I'm so excited.
It's a workshop, so I'm…
I'm getting in on the ground floor,
and the people who are writing it
are, like, the top New York composers.
It's… it's totally a huge opportunity.
So, what does this workshop pay?
200 a week.
Will they hold your job for you while you do it?
Roger!
I got it, mom. Thanks.
Daddy…
I'm really glad to be here.
And tomorrow I'm going to marlena's baby shower
and for two days, I'm not gonna even think about Broadway.
// Derek, can I…
Can I ask you a question?
Sure.
Why don't we ever go to your place?
Oh, God.
What?
It's ridiculous, really.
My neighbors on the floor below, um,
they've just installed a new stove.
Stove.
Yeah.
You know, one of those giant things.
You know, it takes up half a room.
It's so big, it has to have entirely new gas pipes,
so they've turned off the gas, and now they've broken the gas,
and now I have no gas.
You can laugh.
But the whole building's a wreck.
My kitchen's a disaster area. I can't even boil an egg.
No…
It's not funny.
No, no, I just…
I thought you didn't want me in your home or something.
Darling.
I want you everywhere.
So, no worries, all right?
nothing can beat the view
when as far…
as the eye can see
there's…
No one but Mr.
No one but Mrs.
Smith and…
I'm sorry we got into a fight.
Me too.
I've got to tell you something.
No, it's okay.
I know I'm uptight about Derek, and I need to relax.
No. Well, yes. That's true.
But I've got to tell you something else.
Just the history with him is so terrible, and I just…
I love Ivy so much…
I had an affair with Michael swift.
Five years ago.
When we were working ready money.
// I'm fine.
I'm great.
Do you know that even being in the chorus of a workshop
is so much bigger than so many people ever get to do?
This is good, what's happening to me.
It's good.
I'm good.
I know, I…
I just, uh…
Want to give you this.
Dad, I…
I'm your dad.
The Cost of Art love the first day table read art history major new number new idea sound fantastic diva saw you
irst day. I love first days.
Me too.
I am so glad that you're doing this.
Me too.
Exciting, isn't it?
Hi, Linda. Where am I?
You and Tom are here, Derek's there. // Okay, obviously we're not gonna have a table read
because the book is still somewhat in flux.
This'll be primarily for the ensemble.
We'll put the rest in when the book is in better shape.
We'll be staging some of the numbers.
Others will be at music stands.
We'll have some costume elements,
a few props but basically…
It's up to you to sell it.
Now remember…
This is a workshop.
The road to Broadway is exceedingly long.
So…
Let's get to it. //// Julia, you told me once that you were
an art history major.
Yeah.
If that were a real Degas, what would you pay for it?
That?
It is a real Degas.
Yeah.
Here's a lesson they should teach in school //
Why is he sending messages through you?
If he wants to know about the new number
he can just ask me.
I'm sure he will.
I know he's not your favorite person.
What are you talking about?
I love him. What a stellar human being.
A role model for us all.
He better treat you right, that's all I have to say.
I'm a big girl, Tom. I can take care of myself.
// Okay, new idea. Karen, step back next to Bobby.
What's wrong?
Let's take it from the dance break.
Again! Five, six, seven and…
Sorry…
You okay?
Yeah, yeah, I'm just…
Hey, when you do this in the theater, //
no one here to disapprove
as we review the lessons
you've been missing
Okay, guys.
Give a girl a chance.
Yeah, she's right.
There's too much sound in the mix, Tom.
It's eight voices.
They sound fantastic.
It's just… at least while I'm learning it.
Sure, sure. Karen, why don't you sit this one out?
I can tone it down.
It's just for now.
//
I know, I get it, I'm just… I'm saying
you didn't have to pull a diva on her.
I didn't even pull half a diva.
And trust me, they never would have cut her
just to make me feel better.
Ivy, baby, it's not like I know this chick.
I'm not all worried about her feelings,
it's just… oh, no, look at this.
What?
My Mets, they have, //
I saw you, Derek.
Saw me what?
That woman.
I saw you. Everybody saw you.
Saw me what, flirting?
Your hand was on her ass.
Ivy.
Everyone at this party is a potential investor, okay?
So, yeah, I am gonna flirt, and I'm gonna put my hand
on the asses of pretty women
if it makes them feel that our show
is the one they want to throw millions of dollars at.
It's meaningless.
How come you didn't tell me you cast Karen?
She didn't get the part.
You did.
They loved you tonight.
This is who you are now.
Get used to it.

"Loki" Director Kate Herron Talks The Epic Season 1 Finale And The Easter Egg Fans Should Go Back And Listen For | Buzzfeed
Warning: There are MASSIVE spoilers ahead for Season 1 of Loki!
Welp, Loki Season 1 just came to an end and I think it's safe to say that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will never be the same. Following the Season 1 finale, we sat down with director Kate Herron to talk about everything — like how it felt introducing the multiverse and Jonathan Majors to the MCU, casting this incredible ensemble cast, Loki's bisexuality, and so much more. Here's everything we learned:
1. First, Kate has always loved Loki, so she knew she wanted to be involved in the "character's next step" in some way.
"Basically, I love Loki, and I found out they were making a show about him. As a fan, I was like, 'I need to know where he's gone.' Then, I just wanted to know what the story was going to be. I loved the character. I think Tom Hiddleston's performance is amazing. I really wanted to be part of whatever this character's next step was because I think Loki's had one of the best arcs in the MCU."
2. Directing all six episodes of the first season felt like filming a six-hour movie.
"Directing all six episodes was a really unique experience, right? Because normally TV is run through the showrunner system, and Marvel didn't do that on Loki. It was incredible. It was quite an undertaking to do six hours and run it like a giant film. I'm so grateful for the opportunity, and I'm really proud of what we made."
3. When Kate signed on to Loki, only the first few scripts had been written, the "rough shape of the show" was in place, and they knew Loki would be arrested by the TVA.
"When I started, Michael [Waldron] had written the pilot. Then, there was a second episode written by Elissa [Karasik], and Bisha's [Ali] episode was written. So, there was a rough shape of the show. It was already fixed in that Loki was gonna be arrested by the TVA and then it had this twist that he was going to try and solve the mystery of who this other Loki was, but then it pivots and becomes this love story about him falling in love with himself. I just thought that was so inspired and the message that had about self-love. I just really wanted to be part of that."
4. And they always knew the show would end at The Citadel at the End of Time and the multiverse would be born.
"As we dug into it with Kevin Wright, our producer, the studio, Michael, Tom, and also our whole team, I think it was always thinking like what was the best story, in particular during the second half of the show. We always knew they were going to The Citadel, something would happen, and the multiverse would be born, but we didn't necessarily know it would come out of Loki and Sylvie fighting. That idea came out of discussions with me, the writers, and the studio."
Tumblr media
5. It was "always the plan" to introduce Jonathan Majors to the MCU during the Loki Season 1 finale.
"I think me and the writers were just like, 'Well, they haven't told us we can't introduce that character. I guess we're doing it.' It was really exciting and I felt really honored that I got to be part of it."
6. Kate was involved with Jonathan's casting for He Who Remains/Kang alongside Peyton Reed, who will direct Ant-Man: Quantumania, and Marvel Studios.
"Being part of the casting discussion with Marvel and Peyton was amazing. It was massive. I was just like, 'Wow, I can't believe I get to be part of this conversation.' Everyone was just so excited about Jonathan. He's one of the best actors. I just couldn't believe we got him."
7. Jonathan brought a lot of "cool ideas to the table" once he was cast, and Kate gave him "space to play."
"He just brought so many cool ideas to the table. I think when you're working with an actor like Jonathan, it's really just about giving him space to play, and let him find the character and give him a cool way to do that. I really enjoyed working with him. We finished the shoot filming in The Citadel, so it was really interesting that we finished filming with Jonathan. I just felt very lucky I got to direct him."
8. Jonathan actually voiced the Time-Keepers in Episode 4, which added to the Wizard of Oz homage.
"Obviously, the Time-Keepers were being made in post, and we hadn't cast anyone [for the voices] yet, and I thought, 'Well, Wizard of Oz. Like it should be the wizard, right?' So I thought it would be cool if it was Jonathan, and I think the key thing then was just working with him in a way that we could disguise his voice. I think the fun thing was, Jonathan is an amazing character actor. So we just sent him the art and he was sending audio clips to me and Kevin Wright and being like, 'What about this voice?' It was just so much fun to do that with him. I think that was just joyful."
9. Kate's favorite Easter egg from Episode 5 was Throg — in fact, Chris Hemsworth recorded new lines and sounds for that small part.
"That one I was very proud of and it was very fun. I had that shot designed for a while. I think I'd seen it in Futurama, and a lot of animation does it, but I love the idea of going through the dirt and it reveals something. I always felt like that shot would be the place to insert an Easter egg. When we had Throg in there, it was so much fun and it was perfect. We also recorded Chris [Hemsworth] for that. It was just so much fun."
Tumblr media
10. She also loved the Thanos Copter and said it was a "funny" detail the producers loved from the comics, so they had to include it.
"The Thanos Copter was great. Kevin Wright, our executive producer, was really obsessed with that copter, I was like, 'We have to put the helicopter,' and it was so funny. Episode 5 is our best Easter egg episode. There's so much deliberately because of the nature of The Void as a place where deleted things are sent."
11. There's one Easter egg/detail Kate hasn't seen fans catch onto yet, and it involves a "familiar" voice at the very end of the Season 1 finale.
"The one I would say is — it's less Easter egg and more cool story-wise. So, at the very end of the finale, when Loki is in this alternate TVA, there's a character that runs behind him and is going to the armory and people should listen to the voice. It's very quick, but it's someone familiar."
12. Loki was inspired by numerous iconic sci-fi movies, like Children of Men, Alien, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Metropolis, Starship Troopers, and more.
"Bisha, in the episode [she wrote], she spoke about Children of Men and also Before Sunrise as a reference, so I was really inspired by that and the idea of bringing these sci-fi things together. Across all the TVA, I wanted it to just be a big love letter to sci-fi movies, like Metropolis, Brazil, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, [and] Alien. A reference I could never talk about early was Starship Troopers just because, obviously, the TVA are bad guys and in that movie they also use a lot of propaganda film and we had our Miss Minutes film. So, that movie played a hand. There was so much across the show. We had references from everywhere."
13. And the inspiration for how The Void would look in Episode 5 actually came from Teletubbies.
"I never really spoke much about it, but basically in Episode 5, The Void was originally written like a desert, but when I pitched, I said I thought it would be cool if rather than like a Mad Max desert apocalypse, it's more like an overgrown garden. Like, this is the place where the TVA throw their rubbish in. I just loved the idea of that. I think I realized as it started to unravel that I'd basically pitched the British countryside. As we were building it, I was like, 'Am I just homesick?' I remember trying to explain it to the visual effects artists who were making it, and I was like, 'You know, it's like the Teletubbies. You know, rolling hills just one after another.' So, yeah, the Teletubbies became a useful reference when describing The Void. So, that's how they played a hand in it."
Tumblr media
14. Kate was the one who suggested Sophia Di Martino audition for the role of Sylvie.
"Sophia was in a short film of mine called Smear. I was very happy to pay her, finally, for her talent. When we were reading for the role, I was like, 'There's this actor I know and I think we should ask if she wants to read.' Everyone was like, 'Yeah, sure.' So, she read in these audition tapes, and we were all watching the tapes back and I remember everyone at the studio was like, 'Wait, who's that?' And I was like, 'Oh, that's my friend Sophia.' They thought she was amazing."
15. Sophia's audition tape was so good that she was immediately cast.
"Basically, everyone was really excited by her tape and I think she got cast in the room, which is incredible. I was excited because I got to bring my friend along. She's such a good actor. She's fantastic in Flowers and I was just so happy that she was coming along for the ride. I think she's done such a beautiful job with Sylvie."
16. One of the most important things when crafting Sylvie and the other Loki Variants was making sure they were their own characters, and not just Loki copies.
"I think the most important thing, minus just tiny little gestures, was really making it important that Sylvie was her own character and that all the Lokis weren't just 'faded photocopies.' They were all their own Loki. It wasn't even that they stood in a similar way or looked similar, but what in their soul made them a Loki. I love that line, 'Lokis always survive.' That idea goes across all our characters who are Lokis."
17. Casting Sylvie was one of the hardest things, and Sophia was able to bring her own spin to the character and she was the perfect "sparring partner" for Tom.
"Sophia has this talent — and I think Tom has it as well — where she's so funny and naturally so witty and charismatic that you can't take your eyes off her. She's also really good at playing characters with a lot of anger, pain, and vulnerability. I just felt that those qualities were so Loki to me. She brought her own spin on it too. Tom's performance is so iconic, so Sylvie was a tough role to cast because you need to give him a good sparring partner, but also, it's another Loki and people love Loki. So, it was really making sure that she felt distinctive enough that she was different, but also that we gave Tom a really fun actor to play alongside. It was really fun watching them. It was really fun seeing their chemistry grow."
18. Sylvie's fighting style was actually crafted to have similar movements to Loki's, thus showing that they are basically two sides of the same coin.
"I know Tom and Sophia spent a lot of time together. I think the fun thing with Sophia was the little things, like the fighting styles. She has a very different life to our Loki. Loki is very balletic in his fighting style, because he grew up in the palace, whereas Sylvie grew up in apocalypses. So, she was going to fight a bit more like a feral cat. I thought that was fun to play with. We worked with Mo [Ganderton], our stunt coordinator, and it was really fun to find little mirror image stuff they would do when they fight. We did a little bit of that on Lamentis and there's little bits here and there where we've done that. There's also little gestures that they do that are quite similar."
19. Kate had a "four hour" phone call with Owen Wilson before he was cast. They talked about Marvel, Mobius, and Loki.
"Everyone was so excited to cast him. I remember, they were like, 'Kate, just call him and see if he's up for it.' That was a lot of pressure. But then, I spoke to him on the phone and we spoke about Marvel and Loki in Marvel. Also, we talked about what our show was doing, who Mobius was, and then just getting his take on it. It was a very detailed conversation. I think we spoke for like four hours. At the end, he was like, 'I'm in.'"
Tumblr media
20. Wunmi Mosaku's role was originally supposed to be a male character, but Kate suggested having an "open casting" because she thought Hunter B-15 would be really great as a female character.
"When I spoke to the studio, I was like, 'This character is cool, but I just think it could be really interesting if this was a female character. So, could we do open casting? We'll have men and women read, and we'll just see who's the best person for the role.' So, Wunmi read for it and just blew everyone away. We were like, 'We have to cast this person!' So, we kind of remade the role, really, around her."
21. Kate loves the idea that Hunter B-15 joins this club of sci-fi female characters who were originally supposed to be men.
"It was cool because I love Ripley in Alien and I love Kara Thrace in Battlestar Galactica. In the original Battlestar, Kara Thrace's character was played by a man, and Ripley in Alien was originally written as a man, so I liked that Hunter B-15 was joining these badass women in sci-fi. That was really cool to me."
22. When Kate pitched her ideas to the studio, she include Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the actor she wanted to play Ravonna.
"Gugu was in my pitch when I spoke to the studio. I was like, 'I think she'll be really great.' I love her work as an actor. From Belle to the episode of Black Mirror she's in, everything she's in is so different. I think that's so interesting with Ravonna because in the comics, Ravonna's been good and bad, and she's such a big character. I was like, 'I'd love to see Gugu's take on that character.' The studio was really excited by that and so was Gugu."
Tumblr media
23. Kate said it was "important" to recognize Loki's bisexuality in the show, and she loved how it was naturally worked into a conversation between him and Sylvie.
"It was just important for us to do it in a way that made it canon, acknowledged it, and also done in a way where like, if someone asked me, I would just be matter of fact about it, like, 'Yeah, I'm bi.' I think that was the important thing for it and building it into the conversation. It was important to the whole team and the way that it was written was really beautiful. It felt like the right place to do it because these two characters are starting to open up to each other and are being a bit more honest about who they are. So it felt like the right place to have that moment."
24. The TVA weren't always going to be Variants/humans. That idea was born out of conversations with Kate, the writers, and the rest of the Loki team.
"When I started, I think it was a bit more up in the air with like, who are the Variants who work for the TVA? Are they Variants? They actually weren't Variants when I first joined. Casey was an alien, for example. I think something we all locked onto was it was more effective to make them more human. It was already in there that the Time-Keepers wouldn't be real and that would be a big Wizard of Oz rug pull. But the extra rug pull we added was that, on top of all of that, the TVA don't realize that they're actually Variants."
25. One of the things Kate enjoyed the most was figuring out the "inner workings of the TVA," like how the Minutemen would operate.
"I think it was really fun, in terms of the bigger structural stuff, to work with everyone. Also, figuring out the inner workings of the TVA, like every squad of Minutemen would have a hunter and they'll be little details sprinkled across all the world building in the show. Generally, we always looked at the characters and what was the best story and how to get to the end goal in the most effective way."
26. The season finale intro — which included seeing space, the sacred timeline, and hearing quotes from the MCU and history — was an homage to Contact.
"Basically, Eric Martin, our writer, he'd written in this amazing idea that for the opening we do an homage to Contact, and kind of move through space to the end of time. Then, we'd see the physical timeline, and then we see The Citadel. I love Contact, and I was like, 'Oh, that's so cool.' We took that idea to Darrin [Denlinger], our storyboard artist, and me and him just nerded out about space and about how we wanted to pay homage to Contact but not be completely the same.
So we played with the idea of time and he was bringing in so many cool ideas. But then, the amazing pitch he had as well was like, 'What if when we pull out at the very end, the timeline isn't a straight line like how you guys have been showing it in the show? What if it's actually circular?' I thought it was such a good idea."
27. Kevin Feige helped come up with the idea to include Marvel quotes over the Marvel logo because it was something the MCU had never done before.
"I had this weird idea where I remember saying to my editor, Emma McCleave, I was like, 'Oh, can we add a baby crying or the sounds of the city? And it's like we just hear life.' So her, me, and Kevin Wright got really into that. So we were adding all of these different sounds into the timeline. We also had quotes from just life, not Marvel. Then, we showed that cut to Kevin Feige and the rest of the team.
They all thought it was cool, and then Kevin Feige was like, 'Oh, do you know what? We've never done quotes on the Marvel logo before.' So, we thought that was cool and we added the quotes to the Marvel logo intro. Then, me, Kevin Wright, Emma, and Sarah Bennett, Emma's assistant, decided to just put the MCU quotes across the whole thing."
Tumblr media
28. Going from hearing all of the voices in the season finale opening to utter silence in The Citadel was also a way of learning something about He Who Remains.
"I loved the idea of all the noise and this Greek chorus building because when you finally pull out and see The Citadel and how isolated it is, it tells you so much about He Who Remains' psychology because he's surrounded by all this brimming life, but he's completely isolated and alone. I thought it tells you a little bit about his character and who he might be before we see him."29. Kate loves that the season finale opening is a "beautiful handover" from the previous phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into this one with the multiverse.
"It was a real group effort, and we were just really excited at the idea of it being this really beautiful handover from the previous phase of Marvel. Also, we get to encapsulate a little bit of our world as well, which was really fun. The editing team put so much time into that. I really want to watch it in a planetarium or something."
29. Kate loves that the season finale opening is a "beautiful handover" from the previous phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into this one with the multiverse.

Also, we get to encapsulate a little bit of our world as well, which was really fun. The editing team put so much time into that. I really want to watch it in a planetarium or something."
30. And finally, even though Loki sets up a lot of upcoming MCU projects — namely, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Ant-Man: Quantumania — Kate didn't have a lot of conversations with other MCU directors and writers.
"Kevin Wright and Stephen Broussard from Marvel were our producers on Loki, and they worked with Kevin Feige, Louis [D'Esposito], and Victoria [Alonso]. They always steered us in terms of the Marvel big picture and let us know if anything was off base. It's so secretive at Marvel, so I only spoke to Peyton just because our timelines crossed [with Jonathan]. Generally, Marvel manages everything internally and keeps us all in check."

Do you think Maria and Michael will go back out at least for a little bit? I heard she tried to get back with him or something and he rejected her because he said he didn't want to fall into old patterns but wouldn't Alex be considered old patterns too? I know Maria and Greg are probably gonna be coupled up this season which I am all for and have wanted ever since there 10 second conversation but the fact that Maria was trying to get back with Michael makes me low-key angry. And don't get me started on how she's still best friends with Alex after everything that happened and they didn't talk about anything that happened and Alex is just not even bothered about it. He's a much better friend than I ever could be because my friend would have been put of my life if they did what she did. I just hope M and M are over for good!
Thoughts?! 🖤
Nope! She wasn't trying to get with him at all that I could see and she was typically insulting towards Michael which isn't necessarily saying much because she's never had a nice word to say to or about him, but in my opinion the show won't risk it. After the flack the show got in the press last season for the lackluster chemistry, and poor writing for that storyline as well as wasting the Vlamburn magic, coupled with the fact that c*rina is no longer around to do on-set re-writes out of spite towards the actors, I'm sure that storyline is dead and buried.
I have to say a HARD PASS though on m*ria/greg. I thought last season I might be able to live with it, but I was mostly trying to be chartable and those feelings have long since passed. Putting m*ria anywhere near Alex after last season, especially putting her with his brother is in extremely poor taste in my opinion (for reasons I'm still writing up in a different post). I'd chalk this up to c*rina writing that first episode but they already said they made changes to that script to fit the new directions they were taking season 3 after her departure but they didn't change anything about that storyline or her behavior so I'm not holding out hope that m*ria will be any different than last season. Also, I had my heart set on Belmanes but I'm not sure how I feel about that anymore at this point either 🤷‍♀️
I'm working on my 3x01 post where I will get into the choice with Alex's continued shafting by the writing in regards to m*ria but needless to say, I have some NOTES. But I do think m*luca is gone forever, at the very least from Michael's end so that is one good thing!

Universal took Tremors from its creators after 30 years of work.
TL;DR After 25-30 years making the series, Brent Maddock, Michael Gross, Nancy Roberts, Ron Underwood and S.S. Wilson were kicked out so Universal Studios could make more money off the merchandising before the Tremors copyright expires in 2025.
*****MAJOR SPOILERS**** This will make you sad, angry and frustrated. But there is hope. #StampedeTremors
Soooooo, ever since I blew up and sidetracked a post about David Fincher's Queen Biopic with Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury discussing the Tremors 7 ending, I've done some more research on the whole thing. The Graboid hole for this goes deep.
Michael Gross didn't want it.
“There’s a part of me that feels that Universal Home Entertainment might’ve had enough of Tremors. The suggestions that were made in the course of this [movie] made me think maybe they’ve had enough. They came to me and said, ‘What if we ended it at 7?’ and I said, ‘Whatever you choose to do, I’m good with that.'” “That being said, The door is still open for an eighth Tremors. It may seem unlikely by what people see on the screen, but it is possible. There could be an eighth. And if there were, and if it were an interesting story, I would be up for it because Burt is always a great deal of fun. It would depend on his physicality. How much they want me to do. If it’s in another two years, I’ll be 75 years old. So I will continue to hope and pray that I stay in shape, to do what is asked of me – if it is asked of me.”
AND Universal even killed off any ambiguity that he fought for.
"We shot it both ways, where everybody's mourning Burt, and he climbs up over the cliff and looks at all of them in mourning and goes, 'Jesus, God, I'm not dead. And he's really pissed off at them. It's like, 'How would you possibly think...?' But he's bloodied, just he's a mess. He looks like he's been through an earthquake, crushed by a house, but he's alive. And he says, 'You idiots. Of course, I'm alive.'" "They decided it just had this punch. Frankly, I thought to myself -- I didn't express it to them, but I thought to myself -- 'Maybe Universal's getting a little tired of this franchise.' Because this wasn't my idea." "I said, 'I can live with this. Because they came to me. They said, 'Look, you've been doing this so long. What do you think?' And I said, 'Well, as long as we kind of leave the door open.' I mean, I can kind of see an eighth film where it opens with Burt in a hospital bed, in a full body cast and saying, 'I survived.' He could hardly move a muscle. And maybe eight is...if I had a concept for eight, it would be Burt horribly injured, but in a motorized, weaponized wheelchair that has rocket mounts on the side and can leave an oil slick behind like James Bond's car. So nobody can chase him." "I always said, if Kevin Bacon or Fred [Ward] or Reba [McIntire] or anybody [wanted to return], I'd be there in a minute. Just because one, I love Burt, but I always thought of him as this guy kind of on the fringes, and I just came to the fore because everybody else walked away."

While Universal ignored how Michael Gross was setting up his son Travis Welker to pick up his torch (Which I'm give or take on Jamie Kennedy yet he brought a Grady-like optimism to the shittier of the series.)
"My reaction was disappointment, as I had planned an entire storyline around his participation."
Even Jamie Kennedy tried to but they wouldn't let him.
"Lot of people have been asking me, so I might as well spill it. I will NOT be in the upcoming TREMORS 7. I had a great time making the last two. But no TRAVIS this time around. But hey you neva’ know what can happen in the future.... have a great time boys! Tdawg out!!!"

After 7 movies and a TV show, nothing more than a spit in the face for the man who carried a franchise. Then when they do the montage at the end, we get clips of Hiram Gummer but NOTHING of Burt Gummer from the TV show. It's 13 episodes of Burt in Tremors that's longer than all the movies combined but yet they don't even include it in the ending montage while including his dead grandpa.
Same with the original creators. Did you know Stampede Entertainment (Brent Maddock, Nancy Roberts, Ron Underwood, and S.S. Wilson) were working on Tremors for 25 years and even had the 5th one written, "Thunder/Gummer Down Under".
Then were told to sit on it for 10 years before Universal eventually told them to eat dirt? That's gotta hurt. It hurts me and I'm not even connected to these movies. All that work down the drain just because of someone's say so. And for no reason. Well not exactly....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Universal knows fans want Tremors merch. I mean, look at how they took #BurtGummerDay from @BabyFarkMcGeeZax. And they want ALLLLLL of that merchandising money. With none of it going to Stampede because it would give them leverage. Not to mention they don't want anyone else getting the idea to make cute monster toys before they can roll out their own line.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don't believe me? See Universal pull some Hollywood Accounting with Tremors already.
Tumblr media
http://imgur.com/gallery/mFNIHV3
Half a billion dollars... completely untraceable. I've tried. Emailed the numbers people and they can't tell me anything unless you pay $50 a film to see the numbers. Which makes me ask, who paid for the numbers on 1,5, 6, & 7? And why only what they made? Not their cost. Same for the numbers on 2, 3, & 4. Why numbers on the cost, but nothing on what it made? It seems weirdly targeted to make it look like the Stampede Entertainment ones only cost money but made nothing.
Then when you find out that the copyright to Tremors will revert to its creators after the 35 year mark, which makes that date 2024-2025 since Tremors was filmed in '88-'89 but released in '90.....
Wellllllll some things start to add up. Especially when you consider it's Universal. They already know about owning copyrights for things long out of due. Ask Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman. Or Nintendo when Universal tried to sue them because Donkey Kong was too similar to King Kong.
Ask Stampede (S.S. Wilson) yourself. They have a Question and Answer page right on their site.
Like did you know you can't find ANY official Tremors merch? But you CAN find tons of fan-made creations. Give it a Google. They don't even list Tremors on the Universal website. Go ahead. Ask them. I try weekly. No responses ever.
https://www.universalpictures.com/about
Even with a longer history, more money made, and amount of sequel potential in comparison to their other films?
http://imgur.com/gallery/ZnXEsI3
Fans are clamoring for more but Universal says no?
Hell, you can watch the TV show for free on the NBC site.
But before my investigating, the episodes were so jumbled and missing it would ruin people's enjoyment.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Tremors/comments/m0wvwu/tremors_episode_9_graboid_rights_is_back_on_nbc/
What about how they made a Tremors series pilot with Kevin Bacon? The only bad thing about it is that they need to pull a Sonic redo on the Graboid at the end but who knows, I suspect it's like that for plot reasons after reading the unaired script.
https://youtu.be/hWU3GpKmIvw
That Universal/NBC/SyFy has proceeded to hide deeper than a Graboid burrows. https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/tremors-star-kevin-bacon-confused-sequel-series-picked/
Despite no one knowing why. http://imgur.com/gallery/w7rbUvZ
Read the script for yourself if you don't believe me. They've already hidden it for two years. Andrew Miller worked too hard for it to be hidden. And it plays. It works and plays with what's already there while being new and old. Quite good.
Have you seen the Kevin Bacon/Michael Gross commercial featuring them in Perfection Valley? The whole commercial is a sly way to use Tremors WITHOUT actually saying anything Universal would have claim to call copyright on. "Sandworms" "My old co-star" "Trevors". It's a great big middle finger to Universal.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E_O0K9hmlrw
How about the original script for Tremors 2: Aftershocks. The creators have wanted it seen for 20 years but it took a crazy Larry like me to get it out there. It's got Val, Earl, Burt and Heather in it too. Pretty good too. So good they reused the ending in the TV show episode "Shriek and Destroy".
All these things swirl together and make me wonder more and more. For the plethora of Tremors fandom goes deeper than even me... Like Imgur user @BabyFarkMcGeeZax. They created Burt Gummer Day five years ago through sweat and love alone.

We restart the TV show and end the movies for a while. Just like The Librarians. If Marvel can switch between movies and TV, Tremors can too.

And it's not like Universal isn't known for shady business practices. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Pictures
What about how they own the rights to damn near every monster except for Godzilla. And not just the classics like Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolfman, Mummy and Invisible Man. They have Kong, Hulk, Jaws, Michael Myers, The Thing, all the Jurassic Park dinos, all the Romero zombies, Chucky, Casper, Riddick beasts, Hellboy, and Jaegers/Kaiju. These dudes know merchandising rights and they're looking to score the next Poke'Mon franchise.

Destiel Chronicles
Vol. CVIII
It was a love story from the very beginning
Another Destiel Separation
(12x23)
Hello my friends and welcome to the last meta from season 13!
I would love to see the script from this episode because I always said they robbed us the goodbye scene between Cas and Dean, but well...
Let's start...
Mary and Bobby, Destiel mirror and the calm before th storm
First, we had a random werewolves hunt. In which we had a little of comedy and a sneak peek to what Jack's training is. Dean says it's a werewolves hunt and let the kid to answer they will need silver bullets. Just like a resident to his doctor in charge.
Team Free Will 2.0 working together with great results, is showing us the calm before the storm.
Jumping now to the scene between Mary and Bobby, we have here another Destiel mirror. With Mary (Dean) and Bobby (Castiel).
They come from different worlds, and once Boby starts to walk in this new universe, with Mary, he begins to embrace it. Just like Castiel did with humanity, asking in season 8 to be a hunter and to stay in Earth with Dean.
BOBBY: (...) Anyways...without an archangel, it's not like we can go back home. And I'm not sure I'd want to. I...I like it here.
We've been robbed: 1
Remember that scene in which Dean shows Sam so much faith on Jack (the faith that he took from Castiel) and thought about retirement? A happy ending? Yeah, let's cry here and struggle with the idea that we've been robbed...
DEAN: Hey, you remember...remember when you asked if we could stop it? All the evil in the world?
SAM: Yeah.
DEAN: If we could...really change things? Well, maybe with Jack, we can.
SAM: Maybe you're right. But then what will we do?
DEAN: Mm. Yeah. This. (Dean holds a beer he has been carrying and Sam looks down at his) A whole lot of this.
But on a beach somewhere, you know?
Can you imagine?
You, me, Cass, toes in the sand, couple of them little umbrella drinks. Matching Hawaiian shirts, obviously. Some hula girls.
SAM (scoffing) You talking about retiring? You?
DEAN: If I knew the world was safe? Hell, yeah. And you know why? 'Cause we freaking earned it, man.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean thinks in a happy retirement with his brother and Castiel. Because this was in his heart. This was Dean's wish. And this should be his ending. He is the one saying it. They deserved that ending because they freaking earned it. Dean didn't mention Jack, because this is played as a foreshadow in which Jack will have a very important role to keep the world safe as Dean wants: Jack will be the new God.
The scene in which Jack has a nightmare and Dean goes to calm him down, we hear him talk about his own nightmares about people he couldn't save, this shows THE GUILT HERITAGE inside of him, and how this will lead him to say yes to AUMichael.
Jack follows Dean's toxic behavior
Jack goes to avenge Maggie's dead by his own, just like Dean did to face Loki. (Following Dean's toxic bwhat and not his advices).
Then we have Dean shooting at Jack by the back, as a foreshadow of how he will deceive Jack to out him inside the Ma'lak box in season 14.
The manipulative speech Lucifer gives to Jack is a parallel to the one that will give fem!AUMichael to Jack in episode 14x09. The words are similar: talks about power, their difference with humans, their supremacy over humans, and how they should be together to conquer the world because they're family.
The comparison with Star War Anakin, is to place doubts about Jack's future, because everyone knows Anakin turns into the dark side.
But then Sam praying to Jack (just like Dean to Cas) is showing us the faith Sam has on him too.
Jack revails Lucifer's true intentions and true self in a very spectacular show of his powers.
A Sacrifice for family love
Lucifer kidnaps Jack and Sam because he knows about their bond: Sam occupied in this season Lucifer's place as a father. Lucifer knows it and that's why he decided to took them with him and play a sadic game.
How Sam and Jack were willing to give their lives for each other is the same scenario of Dean giving his life and body to AUMichael to save them. Both sacrifies are for Love, FAMILY LOVE. As Michael will tell Sister Jo in 14x02.
The scenes are mixed between the church in which Jack and Sam are deliberating who will do the sacrifice and Dean about to offer his own life like the sword to Michael.
And Jack saying...
JACK: I love you. I love all of you.
Third time we see it int he show (Castiel and Mary in season 12), is telling us that had always been a family love confession. Just like Dean saying yes to Michael.

We've been robbed: 2
The scene in which Dean starts saying he is Michael's sword, is short but very meaningful. Castiel flicks his eyes to him surprised about the offer Dean is making to that monster. He tries to stop him but Dean feels he is trapped and he has to make that sacrifice for Jack and Sam.
The fandom were heartbroken by then about Castiel's feelings, and maybe writers should make it even more noticeable in the script: I'm talking about the fact that Castiel's fall was because he fought against Heaven's Orders, that implied DEAN SAYING YES TO MICHAEL. It means, he went against destiny and embraced free will, following Dean and looking at him as a role model.
He was really angry when Dean almost say yes in season 5, if you remember that scene, Castiel literally kicked Dean's ass.
But this Castiel is different from that one in season 5. He is against that decision but even so, he remains quiet, to a side, watching the man he loves and the one for who he left everything he was for millennials, being snatched by Michael from his side.
When Michael takes control of Dean's body, Castiel can sense it, because they're bonded.
But you know, I still feel there was a scene missing: the one in which Dean says goodbye to Cas. (And I really thought there would be a kiss scene erased there... I explained this here.)
This was another lovers separation, my friends... Sighs...
To Conclude
The last episode from this season was messy and sometimes confusing. It was written by Dabb, and he tends to do that.
In the middle of the messy plot, we can talk about Destiel parallel (Mary and Bobby)
Jack mirroring Dean's toxic behavior and another lovers separation.
Hope you liked this meta, see you in the next one!

So, I have THREE videos to script, a book to finish reading, two webcomics to script, draw, ink and color, and yet my brain goes: WHAT IF Dean had managed to TALK his way into making every angel to join his side? Like, sent back in time with knowledge of what would happen, and instead of choosing violence (as this would be post-s15, sending him back in time to prob. either Lazarus Rising or a bit before that if I want him to stall the apocalypse a bit and save Victor because Victor rules), he choses communication because he KNOWS what happens without it.
Like, he doesn't confront Sam about his demon blood drinking, choosing instead to show trust (Even if Sam doesn't deserve it) so that no one can use his "controlling behavior" as a weapon to manipulate Sam. Instead of torturing Alastair, since he know it's useless, talk to Uriel, make him realize that Lucifer will NOT be happy with the angels (he does know what Luci did the second he could get into heaven) and that in fact, stalling Paradise means that the mudmonkeys Uriel dislikes so much will not go to Heaven so that makes Uriel start changing his tune. I still don't know how to make Raphael and Michael come around (IF Mike is not Dean, because, again, Me and my particular tastes regarding power!Dean), but I know that Cas would be absolutely confused at getting all of Dean's attention and a constant surge of LOVE from Dean's soul from the get go. Probably get him a perma-vessel without killing Jimmy because this would be a completely wish-fulfillment fic.
Of course, this would mean I'd need to think of a way to get Benny and yes, even Charlie even if she's not my fave, and the AMAZING TRANS, without the Leviathans (Or without killing Bobby and without Angels being evil, so... CHALLENGE!) And wow, could Dean's Celestial Catnip work on Metatron given time? No Mark of Cain if I make Dean an angel, And yes, Of course, HOW THE HELL DO I GET JACK WITHOUT LUCIFER CREATING AN ISSUE?!
And then I go: Brain. NO. Please. Lemme finish ONE fic. Then another, THEN We go about unfucking Supernatural's plot which is a bit hard given that the actual paid writers didn't manage to do that!

A thought came to me and I s2g you had rb'd a meme about sending in a scenario to make your muse feel loved (i am dumb and can't find it) but enjoy (from @maximuses ♡).
Also discord hates me lately but I DID read about Vi's cat and I'd die for her ♡
Their friendship had been an unexpected blessing in Michael's life. Something he didn't know, or rather would not admit to himself, that he needed. Someone who cared about him and didn't really expect anything out of him. It'd been decades it seemed since he felt that kind of way, even when surrounded by family and the friends they've made along the way.
So he wanted to return that favor. Somehow. Show Virote that he was grateful for everything and for their friendship. For the times Virote had snuck into his home and invited him out. Even if it almost gave Michael a heart attack on more than one occasion.
Michael found himself at the other's doorstep with a few treats in tow. He'd stopped by that one boba place he remembered Virote mentioning, grabbed some food, and even found himself buying a few goodies for Virote's cat. He'd heard plenty about her, but wasn't quite sure what she'd like. After all, the most Michael has done is feed the local strays. It was a little habit he'd picked up after the whole divorce, and he'd made a few feline friends that way. Hopefully Virote's little friend would like the sparkly collar and feathered toys.
When the door opened, Michael offered that signature and small smile of his.
"Hey Vi, I was in the area and thought I'd drop by. Hope you don't mind that I bought lunch."
✨ @maximuses. meme. still accepting!
He'd been distant for a few days. Sure, Virote answered his texts and he dialed up everyone's phone number. How are you? Good? I'm glad, but I have to go. I just called to see if you're well. That's about everything he said before hanging up. It was getting bad, again. This happened every now and then, like clockwork. When the depressive episodes crept in, they held him in a chokehold without much mercy spared; Vinewood didn't give a shit about that. Your emotional and mental health didn't matter in that jungle, no way.
Taking time for himself was important, but he still felt guilty that it meant he had to cut off communication from the outside world. Everything was too energy consuming. Had to get back to the basics. Get back to working out more, eat more fruit, read. Read books that sparked joy. It was time spent inward, having a moment of reflection with himself. Those days where he didn't feel the burn of studio lights were heaven-sent. All the things he could do with his downtime! Like practice smiling.
Smiling. Most people did it all the time without much of an issue. Virote watched people wander around Vespucci, grinning and smiling and laughing. The people in the business smiled, too. Insincere, dishonest, and attention-seeking. He was known for his own smile, being called one of the prettiest rising stars in Vinewood. Immaculate teeth! Brighter than a sunny day in the hills! Didn't feel like it, though. That's why he sat at his vanity, pulling up the corners of his mouth. Both index fingers on his lips, pulling back. Almost hurt.
God, he felt pathetic. Did he really forget a skill that important? It was part of his allure. Hell, even back in his old group, he was called the Thousand Watt Idol because of his smile. So... What happened?
Didn't have time to mull over that question. There was a knock on the door and he stood, throwing on his satin robe and shuffling downstairs, Kikimora following close behind in anticipation. Couldn't have been his manager, since she was out of town to attend a wedding. Didn't call for delivery, either. But, upon opening the door, he saw Michael standing there, bubble tea in hand and a few other items. The restaurant bag was one that he recognized without even thinking. It was from a little Cuban joint a few blocks down, one of the first places they went when they met.
❝Wait... Did you bring me medianoche?❞ It was his favorite, the one thing he ordered every single time. His gaze fell to Kikimora, she was eagerly playing with Michael's shoe, pawing at it. Of course. Of course. She was a social little thing whenever she got the chance to interact with other folks. ❝And, you brought bubble tea! You remembered my order, huh?❞ Thai tea with almond jelly, light on the tapioca pearls. Of course Michael would remember it. Virote never shut up about drinking five cups whenever he was working.
The food, the drink, the little trinkets for his cat. That was the first time he was able to smile without bursting in tears. It’d been days and days and days, but Virote was finally able to manage a genuine smile. It was a tired expression, sure. His eyes didn’t betray how bogged down he felt. He was always exhausted. It felt nice, though. Happiness! A burden unloaded! ❝You didn't even tell me you were coming over! Jeeeeerk. I look like shit.❞ He hugged him, anyway.
Tumblr media
Then, taking a step back, he motioned for the other to come inside. ❝Thank you... Come in. We have some catching up to do. I don’t think Kiki’s gonna let you leave, so you might as well get comfy. Wanna see this script I was sent? It’s... Bad. I almost scream-laughed when I read it, so I’ll give you a dramatic reading without trying to die. But, before that, tell me about what you’ve been doing. Staying out of trouble, I’m hoping.❞ This was more like it. He missed Michael above anything else.

Hi Tink! I didn't realize how far down the rabbit hole I'd fallen looking through your blog, but I found a post about A Most Holy Man from way back when about how Jensen improvised that bit about the Impala being stolen and you said you thought it was bad (paraphrasing) and I was just wondering why? (I mean obviously murder is bad but in terms of characterization, I guess) I hope this makes sense - it feels like it doesn't, sorry!
Hello!
Yeah, I did explain that I felt this line was out of character and out of sync with the development of Dean’s character throughout season 12-13 and absolutely it clicked in place for me 100% when Jensen said he added this line in that
A. no I wasn’t nuts to have thought this in the first place as clearly it was NOT written as part of the script and therefore the fact that the rest of the characterisation and development works perfectly if you remove this line makes my wrinkles smooth out in deep pleasure as an analytical person who felt this one line totally stuck out like a sore thumb and didn’t fit at all with the rest of his characterisation or the plan of his character development
B. shows again how Jensen bless him can be so on the money about some stuff and yet so backwards and antiquated in his perception of who Dean is in others. It’s like he sees parts of the development but not all and suffocates those parts he doesn’t see/like sometimes because he just doesn’t understand that this isn’t OOC, it’s entirely IN character it’s just that his character had a facade up and now he’s letting it down. He’s played the facade so well he thinks it’s actually Dean sometimes... It fits perfectly with his denying the Game of Thrones line which revealed that Dean loves reading for pleasure and is a massive geek, the Taylor Swift line, leaving Sam when he knows he is undeniably dead, this moment... there’s more, the list is not that long really but they are some key moments where the writers and the analytical meta writers all squee over this exposition of his character fitting all together and all making sense in the big puzzle of Dean and Jensen just sometime doesn’t get because his perception of Dean omits these aspects and unfortunately for him this overall theme for Dean is only coming out stronger and stronger as the sublimation dies out. I say unfortunately because this basically means either Jensen is going to keep having to either change lines while the writer’s out of sight or get firmly told he just has to nut up and do it as per a variety of outcomes for the previous examples I’ve given. As the show is coming to the point where this is becoming more and more common and blatant the latter is likely to happen though, let’s be real. They’re not going to let go of the repeated characterisation and puzzle box of Dean that’s taken 13 years to build just because it takes a few takes to get Jensen to figure it out. Jensen continually tells us he is an actor and not a writer and is happy to let them get on with the job as long as he understands and once he does he’s totally on board (ie. Mary in 12x22) so likely they’ll just do that some more.
Back to the car line, well, essentially Baby is a metaphor for Dean’s emotional state. I think this has been confirmed by one of the writers on twitter some time though I don’t have the exact details but regardless it’s blatant. My tag for it is #baby is deans soul.
Eg. We discover that Dean is the one who chose Baby, not John then consistently we see her as representing his state of mind. When he’s out of hunting and masking himself with Lisa Baby is under a cover (masked), when Dean loses his faith in Cas when he becomes Godstiel Baby is wrecked and his repairing of her is a metaphor for his repairing his own mental state, when Dean gets sent to purgatory Baby is wrecked, when Dean gets rid of the Mark he cleans Baby up methodically and repeatedly, she’s gleaming (in his booty shorts), when they realise the Darkness is destroying the world Dean’s relief is short lived and Baby gets beaten up within that same episode, when Cas is dead and Dean can’t cope Baby is filthy, now that Dean is possessed apparently we don’t see Baby for a while...
So yes Baby is a metaphor for Dean’s soul and throughout seasons 12 and 13 in particular Dean has been getting so much mentally healthier, more open with his emotions, more honest, just so much better overall (apart from his wavering and descent into darkness from mid s13 of course leading to Michael) but in general his view of HIMSELF has been so much better. He’s openly admitting that he has sublimated a lot in the past, then he shows us so much of himself. He goes around bonding with retro kids over doc martens and energy drinks and shows his relatively silly fear in his Indiana Jones moment which is so daft in relation to his usual life. He talks to Sam about his happy endgame. He gives Cas a freaking mixtape. He talks openly to his mother about his feelings I mean Chuck almighty! HE LETS SAM GO! That’s a huge one, he lets Sam go and be the leader he truly is and stops trying to control him. Etc Etc Etc.
Then in this episode which frankly was boring but the META aspect of it was fantastic, it was a whole episode based on what’s right and wrong, do the ends justify the means etc, where do they sit, Sam being the leader again and convincing Dean of the right path and all that jazz, well, it kinda made zero sense for Dean to backtrack to season 8/10 style most repressed angry can’t see the good for the bad just wants to smash everything Dean like? ? ? This isn’t season 13 Dean. Sure season 13 Dean is struggling but he’s generally just so much better, he’s not regressed in that respect that much wowzers. IDK it just felt totally off and not true to real Dean, who we had been getting so much exposition of leading up to this huge flip at the end of the season which was SUPPOSED to make us see how this was totally bad because that’s not who Dean truly is because of this exposition of his character over 2 years and then relatively close to the climax we got this line which was such a performance of angry not-who-Dean-truly-is-but-who-he-is-when-shit-is-so-bad-he’s-lost-himself-Winchester. It just took away from the whole “blue blue blue blue blue blue blue - RED” thing by having a red right in that part leading up to the climax you know? It makes you not see the pattern of how WRONG the red is.
Anyway, that’s why I was very happy when I heard that it wasn’t scripted, because this wasn’t part of Dean’s characterisation or the writing plan at all, which is what takes us forward. The throwaway line by Jensen doesn’t mean anything, what matters in terms of seeing how it’s going to be written moving forwards is what the writers write and that all makes perfect sense. It’s all the BLUE ie. who Dean really is underneath all the crap and that Dean is beautiful.
