She vaguely knows her propagator probably knew Ingo’s identical great uncle or something. But those pieces don’t really connect until Emmet’s research, and she’s tired and faded and the simple act of trying hurts.

(She would leap through space and time for ingo. Chandelure and Emmet would do anything to get their muppet back, even if it means to salt the earth and unearth gods.)

So! I've gotten a host of messages and asks regarding recent disk horse and I wanted to address them as a collective. I know I have anon asks off, I won't share your URLs, but I do want to thank you for asking and clarifying some of the frankly vile things people have been saying about me, my girlfriend, and friends. My reticence when it comes to posting about topics like I/P is because:

-This is a fandom blog intended for lighter topics, except maybe the occasional vent about life stuff, which I usually hide under a cut. I don't have sideblogs. They seem tough to maintain and I don't post nearly enough to justify it. If I were to make one it would be for another fandom or maybe just the freakier bugs. I simply prefer my social media experience to be stress-free.

-Anti-slacktivism. It's a documented thing: posting about an issue makes you feel like you're doing something, you get that little shot of dopamine, so you don't actually go out and do something that effects meaningful change. I'm trying to do less of that. I'm good with the friends and people I follow who choose to post about it and this is a strictly personal belief, but when I engage in activism, it is offline or it is a donation. You're not going to hear about it.

But don't you reblog lgbt and women's rights posts?

Yeah, and that's usually when I want to save a post for one reason or another (e.g. to talk about with someone on discord later). The bottom line is that the main purpose of my blog is not to post political takes or to spread awareness of anything. It is just a collection of my interests (fan stuff, bugs) and hopefully a way to share those interests with like-minded people.

I will state my views clearly for the record: I support Palestine. The ongoing genocide is heartbreaking and so is the violence against protestors. Additionally, I am against antisemitism and the harassment of Jewish people in the name of supporting Palestine. This shouldn't even need to be said.

But the military is evil?

It is. She's extremely hardcore anti-war, does not believe the US should even have an army, and actively PMs strangers on reddit to try to convince them to not make the same mistake. If they're dead set anyway, she gives them detailed advice on how to survive. Because she actually cares about the human cost of war, not the social clout gained from shunning or sneering at people who make wrongheaded choices. I have seen her doing this, seen her seeking to understand their reasons for joining so she can systematically explain—from personal experience!—why they're not going to get any of that out of the army. It is a hell of a lot more effective than bitching them out or writing callout posts or starting whisper campaigns about them. She cannot delete those years of her life no matter how much she regrets them. There is only forward. I think we can all agree on that.

But what about all those things she said. "I regret nothing, I have no qualms, VA nipple money etc."

Well you have to understand that while of generally upright character, she is a bit of a scamp. She believes she fundamentally should not have to explain herself to randos who do not know her, who have never, not once, interacted with her, who are clearly digging for dirt and will twist anything she says no matter how banal. People see what they want to see and they look for evidence to reinforce their preconceptions; they'll go so far as to make alts to join servers, cherry-pick screencaps, crop them, and conveniently fill in the rest of the narrative for curious onlookers. So she decided to exaggerate and amplify and twirl her mustache like a supervillain. Give them a show, as it were.

To be clear, I'm not sold on this strat because it makes her look cartoonishly evil to people who can't understand sarcasm and hyperbole. But her friends and I are aware of her actual beliefs and also that she did not in fact do those things people imagine she did. And isn't that what matters? Real-life harm? Do you even care?

I've finally managed to start reading Purple Haze Feedback recently and was hit with a flashback of how shitty Fugo was seen by some people in the fandom(at least people I was around at the time).

Like- yeah, it was kinda disappointing when he left the other instead of also going to go betray the boss, but shit I wouldn't wanna go either! He was still young and had a lot to live, i don't blame him for not wanting to go on a suicide mission!

Also, going in a more fanfic/yandere centered idea here, I always thought it would've been a lot funnier if more authors wrote the Reader also deciding not to join the gang to go defeat the boss instead of just following along

Another idea that always comes to mind when talking about Fugo is the fact that at first, he was going to be a spy amd would betray the gang (If i remember it correctly).

I always thought it would be an interesting concept to have Reader working for Diavolo since the beginning (bonus points for angst if the gang ends up finding THAT out in the worst moment possible lol)

It’s a rather tall order to ask some sixteen year old teenager to casually betray the whole mafia and specifically the most powerful man on top who they have never met before. I’d like to think Fugo was thinking over every unknown they weren’t guaranteed to find out. Let alone if they even had a chance to even fight at all. I never personally blamed the dude for peacing out personally.

So being Yandere I could absolutely see him do just about everything to get you to hesitate to go with Bruno and the others. He’d bend over backwards to do so, especially if you were hesitant yourself. Like sure there’s a chance you and the others by some miracle could defeat the boss, but depending on how he utilizes his organization and stand users against you, it would get ugly real quick. He even insists it’s just not worth getting hurt/killed over.

It’s likely his selfish desire to keep you to himself talking but he won’t back down in trying to keep you there with him. I always felt like Fugo could make a very compelling argument too, it’s almost scary how convincing he’d likely be. (That’s if you were unsure which way to go, if you didn’t want to go with Bruno and the others I’m certain it’d be much easier for him to take advantage of)

Spy! Reader with a Yandere Diavolo would be fantastic, almost scary in a horror sense. As you can easily doom the gang with your extra intel and knowledge with hanging out with all of them. Not to mention any calls or eventually bumping into Doppio would lead to some very interesting interactions. I can already hear the “dearest y/n” at some point once you succeed on sabotaging the Bucciarati gang.

OKAYOKAY let's start!

For concept 1

With (Not corrupted!) Beast cookie Reader, I wanted them to be the symbol of selflessness! (Still planning out what ingredient they represent :D)

The reason I chose Selflessness for Y/N in particular is due to how it fits the story! Let's continue

Set from many years ago before the other five corrupted, Y/N is a cookie known for helping others no matter what and travels around More than the others.

(I know it seems like a basic concept but trust!! It fits with the plot since the reason the reader seems more carefree than the other cookies is due to being more isolated from knowing stuff, which is why the witches gave Y/N some tasks the moment they saw some signs of corruption in the others. Now there must be another question, Why only Y/N? In my pov I assumed the beast cookies corrupted at the same time due to each other's influence, and Y/N doing tasks and being the symbol of selflessness makes sense as to why Y/N isn't affected due to not many interactions. You get you get? 😭 Sorry for my bad explanation)

Before the other five got corrupted, Y/N was busy somewhere else, Tending to the witches requests and other cookies from far away.

Which is why in this story Y/N will be unaware of what happened! (Due to the witches fear of Corruption for their last remaining Hero?Beast?Mythical? Cookie, they make sure to not let Y/N know everything about what happened)

After Y/N came back, to be horrified at the sight of destruction everywhere and a mysterious silver tree but before they can ask the surviving cookies about it, the witches came to take Y/N for.. modifications

To prevent corruption in the future they decided to modify Y/N soul jam

Now, What are these modifications?

Here are some examples!!

-Y/N soul jam power relies on the joy/happiness/Gratitude of the cookies they help! (So basically if Y/N does end up being horrible to cookies and hurting them, Y/N powers grow weaker which will be easier for the witches to stop)

-Y/N Soul jam reacts brightly to other soul jams! Which affects the other users Emotions or Temporarily stop the power of their soul jam. (Protocol made by the witches to stun the beast cookies if they escape)

With these modifications to Y/N soul jam and especially telling a different version of the story.

Y/N was back but this time in Earthbread! ( Or basically just not beast yeast 😭) Along with new batches of cookies made by the witches, Y/N continued their duty and travelled everywhere as time progresses with new soul jam holders and more cookies! (Which leads to Y/N being very well known and cookies getting excited whenever Y/N is seen wandering by, looking for cookies who need help)

I have more depth into this but if you wanna ask questions I don't mind! Since I'm not sure if I explained well! But Y/N is the most loyal to the witches especially to a lil young witch! (It was intended to be only five cookies but the witches decided to let the little young witch join in and make her own cookie! This is why Y/N is mostly around the witches and why they werent affected in corruption by the other beast cookies, though.. Y/N does get upset about their friends being gone)

The other version of the story told to Y/N is still in makings! Over all this is a WIP! And I still gotta fix tons of stuff! As this is just a messy summary 😭

I wanted to make a different kind of Beast Reader especially with more depth! Though just remember! This is an idea <3

This time Y/N is corrupted after some time the other five were sealed, Once Y/N hears the full story from a cookie while others being scared that Y/N will hurt them too, Y/N ran away into hiding and slowly got corrupted overtime blaming themselves for not noticing and more! Which leads to Y/N being corrupted and symbolizing grief.

Entering the area where Y/N ran away, You can sometimes hear the cries echo in the forest/area.

And yeah! That's my ideas so far for beast cookie reader!! In a messy summary 😭

I'm in a server where one person consistently complained constantly, vented in channels that weren't meant for venting, talked over others who were venting in correct channels, and couldn't understand (or care) that other people had (gasp!!) different thoughts on characters.

Someone finally seemed to get fed up and responded what I know I and other people I talked to were thinking -- basically that complaining everywhere in the server is stressing others tf out, and that they come across like an asshole who expects everyone in a random server to drop everything to talk about their problems. Cause honestly? They did.

The individual flipped out at them. They genuinely didn't see that they were annoying people at best, and stressing people out (or more) at worst. I've talked to friends about how some people don't seem to grasp that other people online are people as well, and just because they don't constantly overshare and complain doesn't mean they're not going through shit. This person flat out said that. The person calling them out mentioned also being chronically ill, and the response amounted to belittling them and saying that they were 'so much worse off so has the right to vent'.

This person left the server (thank fuck, things are already so much better, and the channels for personal shit aren't a wall of them complaining about everything wrong with them, everything others have apparently done to them, and anything and everything in between), but they very much left thinking they were some victim, not someone who was pissing everyone off and stressing people out.

I guess I just didn't really think people like this existed, not to this degree. I know a lot of us can be guilty of venting online (just look at your inbox sometimes lol, or me now), but I think I always thought people were aware they were doing it? But I checked out this person's tumblr, and they had walls of text talking about how horrible everyone in the fandom was for not supporting them when they were going through hard times and needed a space to talk. Some users were responding things like "fandom's an escape for everyone, people don't always want to hear venting or interact with it, people are going through their own shit, and more" and oh god this person didn't care.

And just... huh?? The server's for fandom to talk about random characters. There are some non fandom channels yeah, but people usually just talk about knitting or made a random comment about having a shitty day.

idk, I know fandom is socialisation for a lot of people as well as a space to talk about blorbos, it certainly is for me, but expecting people to put their own mental health on the line cause you had a bad day just seems cruel. And given their tumblr, they're still doing it, and think they're in the right.

This just happened a couple days ago, but the server is already a much more chill place now that they're gone. Must be an exhausting way to go through life.

I really like some of the takes and overall people sharing their opinions in a safe sort of way/space.

I also love how I can trace your point of view not only on lestappen topic but on shipping in general and rpf specifically.

I think sometimes people forget (maybe due to their age or inexperience) that Max and Charles are real life human beings with high stress level jobs and who are public personas as well. If people think about themselves as nuanced individuals they should think the same way about these two too.

Like don’t get me wrong I enjoy analyzing their interactions, I do read fanfiction and always reblog a good gifset or post but I also realize that what I spent my time on is not a true reflection of reality.

Thus I don’t expect them to be publicly smooching every race weekend on camera.

They are just guys doing their job, they seem to have some type of feelings towards each other and they might as well be aware of it but even if it is so we are not gonna know about it probably. Not while they are active F1 drivers at least. And honestly? We are not supposed to know about it. It’s called private life for a reason.

So yeah I’m kinda glad to know that there are other tumblr users with similar opinions on sexuality, personal stuff and shipping and I hope the majority of the fanbase is sharing them.

First of all let me just say this is one of the kindest asks I've gotten, thank you so much <3 I love that you feel I'm curating a safe space for everyone involved

But yeah, I'm an old hat at rpf so I'm pretty good at the cognitive dissonance required to distinguish between the Max and Charles the super famous F1 drivers and the Max and Charles that we cackle about here, which is why I'm pretty straightforward about the fact that I don't like talking about their irl partners or speculating on their sexualities. It does take practice, but I think it's a really vital skill to have if we're going to talk about them. I've been involved with 3 or 4 rpf ships in my time and they get sour quickly unless we explicitly set some boundaries for ourselves.

Also let me play devil's advocate for a moment, let's say either of them are anything not straight. Imagine how absolutely terrifying that is, in an extremely high-stress sport that's had no high-profile non-straight people that competes in countries where being gay can get you killed by law. A grand majority of the fans would change the way they see you, probably some of the higher ups would too. Tabloids would hound you relentlessly and it's likely some people or their families in your circle would shun you. There is no way you would even think about the possibility of being openly queer in an environment like that. Whatever their sexualities are is their own private business, which is why I explicitly refuse to speculate. It's important to distinguish feelings from sexuality here. You can speculate on someone's feelings without speculating on their sexuality or how they identify.

That being said, fic plays by different rules (apart from the partners bit). I think fic can use these characters of Max and Charles to explore some really interesting theses on sexuality and how it would fit into the sport. It's still important to keep in mind that these aren't the Max and Charles that exist here in the real world though, they're characters based off of them.

Oh he just really cares about dental hygiene; it was mentioned in canon a couple of times. I don’t remember where it was mentioned for the first time, but he did ask Deuce and Riddle if they packed toothbrushes 12 times when they were packing for the symposium…

It was also definitely mentioned in some of the vignettes and voice lines.

You know, Anon, it could also be a thing, I kind of like this take. All of the assassination attempts are the things that actually influence the way Kalim interacts with the world and sees it, so the moment he realises that his kid could be in danger it could make him very paranoid. So yeah, the kid can have anything they want as long as they don’t go anywhere, don’t talk to anyone other than a trusted circle of people and don’t eat anything but the food that was cooked inside the Palace. Watch out, Kalim, or your kid is going to sneak out and meet a street rat lol

To be completely honest, Anon, not really. We’re just not too into het (with rare exceptions), so my head about this particular topic is kind of empty. We’re more interested in the boys having crushes on each other, I guess lol When I wrote my post, I imagined them being either single dads or being with another character.

That being said, we did read a dj about the Tweels clowning Azul for being dumped by yet another woman, and it was funny…

Lilia and a certain woman have certain potential, but it’s a bit early to talk about them for me…wink

Someone did WHAT on your fic? That's so so lousy- Okay. Okay. I just went through a few pages of your fic bookmarks. Just a few pages, mind, and I saw enough shitty ones that I'm legitimately so upset-on-your-behalf about. I can't believe people think it's okay to do this? I can't imagine why people would want to bookmark, public or otherwise, things they think are "mid" or "5/10", bar deliberately wanting to make the writer feel bad.

Like, if they do it to keep track of what they've read, just name the collection "Read". I'm actually devastated about this. And perplexed, because some of the people doing this are fic writers themselves.

writing fic is creation for creation's sake, it's fun and social at its best, it's to find people who think like you do, or it's to read how other people are thinking about any given piece of media. it's also just what my brain is going to do anyway (rotate my little guys around, Put Them In Situations) so I might as well do it for an audience and get some kudos-based serotonin out of it

I like when people tell me they liked something I wrote because that tells me there are people out in the world who think like me or connect with the same things I connect with ... if they didn't like something I wrote I ... don't... care????? go elsewhere! don't recommend the fic! don't tell me WHY you won't recommend it. what a waste of your time, tbh. if you're keeping notes for your own sake, make the bookmark private? idk man. if you're just being mean then i can't help you but uh. don't be mean

Well, we don't know if she's the only SPV with a CT, but I'm sure it's why she was able to escape. Riko doesn't seem to have one and that might be one of the reasons why Tengen saw her as an ideal candidate. We don't know about the other two that got merged, but it would make sense for Tengen to choose the ones that would have less means of defending themselves. The Heian one might've had one because that was probably still more of an experimental phase and she might have had less options, unlike now where there are multiple popping up in one generation and she picks the ones with characteristics she likes most and who probably also have a closer match.

So Tengen most likely knew Yuki's CT, but didn't tell the higher-ups, since Kenjaku got their help, but couldn't find it out. They basically promoted her to special grade based on mission results and I assume a good word from Tengen. That might've also helped her break through the glass ceiling of misogyny. As we see with Maki, it really doesn't matter how skilled you are, you can only advance as far as they let you and if you're a woman or they don't like you for some other reason, you're not getting anywhere. But she had her results to show off and what Tengen says goes, so they couldn't protest. It's impressive that she managed to keep her CT and status as former SPV a secret for so long, although the foreign missions definitely helped there.

I'd also like to have a bit more background on Yuki. Did she have the same religious upbringing as Riko? She was likely groomed into a sacrificial mindset too, so what made her be able to resist that? Did Tengen wait too long and teenage hormones ruined it for her? Just natural instincts? She is very rebellious in general after all. How did her first meeting with Tengen go down? So many questions that will likely never get answered. But that also means there is no limit for how we can imagine it all happening.

It's a real shame that Tengen and her intentions and past never really got questioned by anybody besides Kenjaku. Yuki has her complaints, but she ultimately doesn't do anything about them. Gojo suggested at one point to kill Tengen if she wants to force the merger with Riko, but apparently completely forgot about that once Toji came into the picture. He was so close to the root of the problem, but then didn't act on it. Riko would've died anyway, even if Toji wasn't around, just in a different way. And even if they managed to rescue Riko, it would've been some other kid that got sacrificed in her stead.

Mind you, I don't think Gojo could ultimately do anything against Tengen, certainly not at 16. He wouldn't even be able to touch her and she knows the capabilities of six eyes users better than everyone else. But I feel like an effort should have been made. The issue should be addressed. There could've been a lot of interesting stuff between Tengen and him too. After all, she also created him to make him protect her, so if he went against that, that would be a nice source of conflict. But I don't think he knows about his purpose and will likely never find out about it.

Either way, I would've liked more skepticism of Tengen in general. Kenjaku brings up right to Yuki's face that there is something very important about the Culling Game that Tengen has been keeping from them, but nobody fucking listens to them. It's so frustrating. Megumi also brings up that they should maybe not 100% trust Tengen, but nothing comes off it. The kids get so caught up in their plans and the opponents that keep popping up around them, that they forget who put them in this situation in the first place. That's how Tengen likes things to go I guess. Make people just forget about her and that's how she keeps getting away with it. And she relies a lot on the influence she established early on.

And well... Yana interacted with Wyn and Dimitri at the Hellfire Gala, which made clear that they haven't met before. And that's super sad :( Also the characters' cards revealed that the new magic users have a connection with Stephen, Clea, Wong and Jericho, which leaves me a little disappointed to see that Yana is not part of this event, especially knowing how underused her magic is all the time.

Another frustration of mine is that Ultimate Invasion is not even using her 616 version. I was there for her and was left a bit disappointed too. At least, Realm of X is saving her for some magic surprises, according to Torunn. Still, as a fan of Stephen and Yana's bond, I want them to interact in this event so bad 😭 At least, back in the days, whenever magic was involved, she was part of the team.

all of my stories are still on ao3, but they're locked! you have to be a registered user to read/interact with them. this will happen to the new mermaid fic as well when i post the final chapter! ao3 (as well as many other sites) have had problems with AI scalping them to feed their programs – so essentially just stealing other people's hard work. locking them helps hinder it a little 😩 i really recommend getting an account if you don't have one!
