TH White’s The Once and Future King is the book.

The Green Knight is the movie.

Arthurian double feature! I would really love, if you’re planning on doing the movie, if you would also read the book. I’m not gonna kick you out or anything but I feel like the discussions will be a lot better if we’re all working from the same material as far as comparison and the idea of the evolution of the Arthurian myth.

These will both be mid-august--I’m thinking the 13th and the 20th? And will be held in the middle of the day in cause any Europeans want to come.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? *anecdote: I borrowed my brother's Japanese Pimsleur CD as a kid and I still remember how to say the weather is nice over a decade later. You can find the CDs at libraries and "other" places I'm sure.

When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.
