What makes you attractive?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Pile 1
Tumblr media
Some of you tend to take extra responsibility or just come off that way. You're definitely seen as someone hardworking and responsible. You might have kind of a hurt vibe to yourself, I'm getting people thinking that you've gone through a lot of pain in life. For some reason, you are perceived as someone who's been backstabbed and left behind and that makes you really attractive. Some of you might be really analytical and logical, you might have trouble with creativity, understanding your own or others' emotions and people might take your words the wrong way because you come off very harsh/you just look really cold unless someone talks to you or you're too nice and loving which allows people to walk all over you. People who tend to like mean people with a soft spot only for them tend to develop a crush on you. You might be seen as someone who doesn't abandon their core values for anyone or anything which is definitely a very attractive trait. People know that leadership carries a responsibility so they admire your ability to either take them on or refuse taking them because you feel like you're not ready enough. I'm getting really mixed messages for this pile, some of you might be addicted to something or someone, people definitely notice that. People think that you place too much faith in friends, partner, family, etc. which makes you attractive in their eyes. People might think that you're wealthy, I mean- money is attractive ☠️. People might think that you have really high standards, might be because of the people from your past? Romantically and platonically. You seem to be really innovative and original. Some of you might have capricorn and aquarius placements. People might give up on things or their love interests because they think they're out of their league but you tend to get whatever you want. You're seen as someone who doesn't give up on the things, people and beliefs that you want even if you seem delusional and in the end you tend to get what you want or your belief proves to be a fact. You know how to take time before moving forward. Right now, you might be getting to know yourself or taking care of yourself, I'm getting a lot of deep soul searching here. You're slowly learning how to use your intuition and trying to balance between stuff. You might be the type to not pick sides or stop fights, to make people realize what they did was wrong without treating them differently, give them harsh advice when needed along with comforting words that don't come off like you pity them. Some of you might give people trouble at the beginning when they're getting to know you or they just tend to look too much into it. I'm getting them not knowing what to make of you, your words or action but you make them want to explore relationships (platonic and romantic.) People tend to crave to feel the way you make them feel. Things tend to darken, tend to become colder when you're around and there's a warm light only surrounding you, people naturally crave that light. Some of you have leo placements.
Pile 2
Tumblr media
Dragon beauty, a selective few of you have a dragon beauty (example, Hwang Hyunjin and Hwang Yeji) or you just have a dragon like aura. I'm being brought to ancient Chinese dramas, girls with the prettiest hair I've ever seen. I'm also getting a lot of Arabic poetry here, people tend to want to do anything for you. You might attract leo and pisces placements a lot. "And every one of my heartbeats is a poem for you." You tend to attract a lot of givers and I think you, yourself are a giver as well. I'm getting heavy shame whenever you take things from others. I feel like people see a lot of potential in you. You might also be the type to see potential in others. People who are anti-romantics and who's growth is blocked somehow tend to be the ones who are attracted towards you, however, unless you make a move, they won't make a move either☠️. You're seen as someone bold and someone ambitious. People think you're preparing something, it makes you intriguing. Even if you haven't, everything you say seems very planned because you might be very witty, might be a flirt too. Some people view you as someone who's clinging onto an old thing or person and not moving on or you have moved on now but you couldn't back then and took a lot of time moving on. You're seen as someone very generous and kind of selfless, to be honest. People might think on a deeper level, you don't trust people. People might also feel like you see right through them. Some people think you're hiding something and are very mysterious which makes you really attractive too. You seem very persistent and courageous, you might have gone through quite a rough patch in the past if not multiple of them. People who tend to question your personal strength tend to get proven wrong everytime. Don't let others affect your decisions. You might be the type to have favourites, the thought of being treated differently than others by you is very exciting to others, their most common day dream to be honest, which makes you attractive too. You might attract cancers as well.
Pile 3
Tumblr media
Enchanting, that's how others describe your presence. You're physically really attractive is what I'm getting. "It is a part of her beauty, the quality of being not quite there, dreamlike." Heeseung from Enhypen, Jungkook from BTS, Timothée Chalamet, young Leonardo DiCaprio, etc. that's how your aura is like, you've got a charm similar to theirs, very dreamy. Some of you might smell soft like roses or vanilla. I also feel like you're very authentic. You might be a 'quaintrelle.' Definition: A quaintrelle is a woman who emphasizes a life of passion expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, charm, and cultivation of life's pleasures. I'm getting you taking decisive action and having a lot of self control. I feel like because you're very dreamy, people get shocked by your intensity when you speak. You're seen as someone very confident, you're also seen as rich and content. I'm getting Song Jia energy here. You might have been a very different person in the past so the you now is very attractive to others because you seem to be a whole new person. People might feel like you have to win at all costs or will win at all costs. You might have gone through a betrayal in the past. I feel like emotionally you're either in a healthy place or come off to be in a healthy place. You're also seen as someone who can socialize when needed to and has good connections, might be good at teamwork. Were you physically injured in the past? For a few of you who were, your ability to get better and the difference in your mindset from back then is definitely something many admire. You might have isolated yourself back then. You might have been the type to stress and worry too much but now you're better, you've grown, you use worrying to your advantage. Spend time with people that you feel good, try to do things that make you feel good as well (I feel like you're already doing it.) You might have or should work towards connecting with your inner child. Some of you might be coming out after too much alone time or staying in after too much socializing.

please consider...... angsty fic where Jesper is in a gunfight and actually gets shot for once. it might only be in the side but just the sudden panic he'd get of realising he's not invincible and Y/N did a whole freaking out and leaving before this could happen. Y/N being scared for good reason..... waking up with Y/N at his bedside????????
For One Last Good Night With You - Jesper Fahey
Content Warnings: Angst. Canon Compliant Violence, Threat And Injury. Explicit Language. Not Beta/Proof Read.
Tumblr media
It was such a ridiculous fight. Jesper couldn't have been more convinced that there was nothing less worthy of arguing over than this. But argued about it you did. You had damn near lost your mind trying to make him understand and he just couldn't fathom it.
Did you doubt him? Because every ounce of concern you had, every fear you expressed, it sounded like you thought he couldn't handle himself. It sounded like a dismissal of his capabilities. He couldn't hear it. He couldn't even indulge it. Jesper Fahey, for all his gambling debt, and all the reasons to doubt the facts, might not consider himself lucky, but invincible? That he was sure of.
Jesper spent his days feeling like nothing could touch him, because nothing had. Every job with Kaz, he might have barely made it out of so many of them, but he made it out. He has been out gunned more times than he can count and he left without a thread of his jacket torn, while others did not have that courtesy of that.
Although your concern for him was moving at first, the way you were so clearly worried about him coming home, from what you considered an unnecessarily dangerous job, the amusement he had at it slipped away when he saw just how serious you were. You were worried. Worried so deep and so true that you tried your best to dissuade him from this job, and that should have told Jesper something. But what it told him was you doubted his ability to handle himself. It showed a lack of faith in him. That was so far from the truth, but Jesper wasn't able to see that. Not while you're telling him over and over that you cannot handle the idea of him not coming home. All he could wonder is when had he ever given you cause to doubt him? When had he ever not come back to you? Why did you doubt him?
You had wanted him to see the insanity in the plan, in the odds, not doubt himself. You had tried every type of reasoning you could think of to help Jesper see that you believed in him, but you were scared, and you had all the reasons in the world to be. Something felt wrong here, something felt off and miscalculated and you couldn't explain it, but you were scared for him, scared for him in a way you haven't been before. You wouldn't call yourself superstitious, but you felt it in your bones like a bad omen and you didn't know how to make him see. And the more you tried, the less he heard, the more he seemed determine to prove himself, determined to throw himself into the line of fire. So you walked out.
You walked out into The Barrel without another word because each word seemed to just make more problems than the last and you could not push him even further into this. You had to get out of that argument and that room before you completely broke down. You couldn't change his mind and all your trying seemed to make it worse, so you had to leave. You had to get far away from those words and that feeling, and you had to just hope, hope and saints maybe even pray that Jesper could be lucky this time. Even if luck was not something you believed in, that anyone in The Barrel really believed in. You just hoped that maybe it was enough.
He had been too distracted, and he had been too cocky and the mixture of both on his shoulders are a too dangerous mix for this evening, for this plan, for the eight men he counted as seven.
The bullet landed in the higher side of his left shoulder, and the pain is not remotely close to the shock that hits Jesper with the same force of the bullet. He actually let himself get hit, he hasn't gone that before. He has never felt the way the bullet tears through muscle upon entry and again on exit. The shot is clean and barely hits him low enough to do more than graze, but the blood dripping down on his ruffled shirt is very real and the pain is not something he can ignore.
"Jesper?" Comes Inej's voice from the dark, but his vision is swimming and blurred to the point where he cannot tell if Inej is being her shadow like self or if he is losing consciousness.
He cannot remember a time in his life when his breathing has been this shallow, this laboured, this difficult. He knows it's panic, at least a part of him knows it, but the bigger part of him right now is screaming inside his head. This cannot be how he dies. Not here. Not like this. Not leaving things the way he had with you.
"Jesper!" Inej's voice is louder now, and her hand grips his arm with such a suddenness that if Jesper was in his body he would've reacted so fiercely to. But Jesper is miles away, the pain throbbing, the panic squeezing his chest tighter with every breath, his mind with you.
Jesper thinks maybe Inej is trying to say more words but her voice is losing out against the heaviness of his breath and the sound in his head.
Not like this. Not now. Not like this.
"Please," the word falls from his lips as if every other part of his pleading had been said out loud. If Inej responds, if anyone does, Jesper doesn't hear them before he blacks out.
Fuck.
"Out of the woods? Out of the fucking woods? Brekker if I wasn't preoccupied I would ring your neck," you shout, across the slat. Nina is working her hardest on Jesper's shoulder but the pain lurches him awake. He goes to speak but Nina catches him and fixes him with a look.
"Not a word, luckshot," she tells him. "Not a damn word."
"You're assuming you could get that close to me," Kaz responds. Jesper hadn't been conscious for the Kaz the others had seen a few hours before, the Kaz who saw Jesper, no colour in his eyes, laid out and bleeding on the new rug. The Kaz who's voice wavered, who's attachments became all too clear as he nearly let his cane fall from his viper grip.
"Brekker if he died, nothing could have stopped me from ending you," you warned.
"It wasn't his fault," Inej tried, her knees pulled into her chest, head resting on them, arms wrapped tightly around them, holding herself still and together. She trusted Nina, but nearly seeing Jesper bleed out in an alleyway in The Barrel had taken it out of her. She saw Jesper as a brother, and she had already lost one of those. Kaz felt very much the same but tried to bury it under anger. Anger that fizzled out before it reached yours, it flickered in comparison to your rage.
"I told him, I told all of you," your words sound sore now, like your throat is giving way to them. Jesper knows that sound, even if he wishes he didn't. You'd been crying, and not a gentle cautious, keep yourself contained type of cry, no you had screamed your lungs raw.
He hadn't wanted to say goodbye, and you hadn't want to lose him, both the same. "Inej, Kaz, step outside please," Nina says. "I'm trying to work here and you're not helping."
Inej looks to Nina as if to ask what she had done to be sent away, but Nina just eyed back Kaz and Inej understood: she was being sent to keep Kaz calm, to not risk Kaz trying to get revenge before he'd thought everything through.
Jesper feels himself slipping again, the pain making him giveaway and he tries to speak your name before he succumbs to it, but nothing leaves his mouth, and it's just darkness again.
When Jesper wakes again, he can feel the bandage on his shoulder, he can feel how everything is back where it should be, blood staying inside his body, but it still hurts worse than any hangover. He tries to sit up but only then notices the weight on his chest. You're resting on him, you must've fallen asleep waiting for him to wake. You're exhausted, Jesper has no way to tell how long he had been out, and how long he had made you worry. A thousand different apologies climbed into his mind but not a single one would do, not a single one was good enough.
"Jes?" You mumble as you wake from the steady breathing in Jesper's chest changing to a faster pace.
"I'm awake," he tells you. You look at him and he can see that anger, the anger he had seen before he left for the job, the anger he heard you have when spitting venom at Kaz before, and it melts away.
"You scared me you asshole," you tell him, bundling the fabric of his shirt in your hands.
He places a hand delicately on the side of your face and then without the grace or cocky demeanor you're used to, he pulls you into a kiss. A kiss that tells you that he knows how close he came, how much he scared you, a kiss that tells you he is sorry and he never wants to put you through that again. "I'm sorry Ace," he whispers. A smile breaks on your lips, Ace, his lucky card, you'd always had mixed feelings on that nickname, as you did on anything he related back to gambling, but you'd never been so glad to hear it fall from his lips.
"I love you Jesper Fahey," you tell him plain. He looks back at you, and it's not that he ever doubted it, it's not that you'd never said it. It's just... Hearing it now, felt like the first time, felt like the beginning of something and the culmination of it the same.
"I love you," he says, pulling you in for another kiss, "and I'm sorry-"
"Don't be sorry, just be save... Be alive... Be here."
"Okay," he agrees. "Okay."

Which ROTTMNT characters you would date?
I'll be describing the characters from Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that you would want to date. Leave your answer in the comments.
Tumblr media
Raphael
Raphael is the oldest of the turtle brothers (unlike his other counterparts), he is the leader of the TMNT, instead of Leonardo. He has a large muscular body that you can't help but feel attracted to him. He is exuberant (otherwise cheerful) and passionate, though he can impulsive, not rationalizing before making a decision.
Raph has a soft side, he's tender and kind. He'll always protect the people he loves and comforts them.
Tumblr media
Leonardo
Though Leo made be frustrating to deal with, he's arrogant, wanting to prove himself he's the best, doesn't take things seriously and puts full faith in himself instead of others. But, when you get to know him better, you'll see that under the surface he's really just insecure and just wants to be accepted by others, wants to be more than "the face man". You can find him relatable that you want be accepted by others and be more than what you are. Leo would see the error of his ways and would willing to make it up for it.
There are times when he decides to be serious and sensible, he would use his charisma and relaxed, flexible nature to sway to you when you're down on your luck.
If you like a person who is flamboyant, Leo would be your type.
Tumblr media
Dontatello
If you have a thing for nerds or geniuses, Donnie's your man. He has high intellect and skills on technology and general sciences. If, there's something technology you really want, Donnie would be the one to build it for you. He can be annoying when he brags about his high intelligence, he will describe his latest inventions at length, not realizing he maybe boring the others.
Donnie has a fear of being nothing without his brains and tech, but you'll be the one to encourage him that it's him who's important to you, not his tech.
Donnie is autistic (confirmed by the creator) as he struggles to understand certain basic human emotions and emotional outbursts, which you can relate to him how difficult it can be when you have a disability.
But, his emotional experiences are very different from the average person. Donnie can be a terrible liar, as you can easily tell by his expression and the tone of his voice.
Donnie has a passive-aggressive streak that takes people off-guard. You can be his lab partner, but his workshop is personally off-limits.
Tumblr media
Michelangelo
If you like someone who is playful and lighthearted, Mikey is your guy. He is intuitive, able to adopt new skills quickly, determine others' problems, and at times accurately predict situational outcomes.
Mikey is creative at heart and he uses his creativity in various ways. He is family-oriented and compassionate, Mikey is openly sentimental and encourages others' emotional vulnerability.
Mikey has three personas he created: Doctor Delicate Touch, Doctor Feelings, and Doctor Positive. To deliver a harsh truth in his "Doctor Delicate Touch" method, Mikey often starts off being sweet, but quickly becomes angry and frank. Doctor Feelings uses his emotional intelligence to advise others, and Mikey faces issues with determined optimism as Doctor Positive.
Mikey never gives up and puts faith in himself and others.
Tumblr media
Hamato Yoshi/Splinter
It would be surprising why would anyone want to date Splinter? Considering the fact that he's absent-minded, lazy, stir up mischief and trouble with his sons, but don't let his appearance fool you.
Tumblr media
Back in his younger years, before his mutation. He was movie star as Lou Jitsu, he was famous all over even Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute are fans of him despite being unaware that he's a member of the Hamato clan. He is also the Battle Nexus champion in Hidden City.
His appearance is mixed of Elvis Presley and Bruce Lee, that would make fawn all over him.
He is a very skilled martial artist that no human or creature can beat him, which give Baron Draxum the idea to infuse his DNA with the mutagen on the turtles. Yoshi did vowed to put his fighting aside, he's not afraid to fight in order to escape Draxum's lab with the turtles.
After, he got mutated, he choose to raise the turtles he rescued as his sons. Splinter maybe extremely flawed and doesn't spend much time in family outings, but he deeply cares for his sons.
Long ago before he ever became Lou Jitsu. When he was a young child in Japan, he listens the story of the Shredder from his grandfather Hamato Sho. Then on the spring day, his mother, Hamato Atsuko left her father and son so that she could perform her clan duty, which devasted Yoshi.
For many years, his grief over his mother leaving him made him bitter towards his own clan, disbelieving the existence of the Shredder, and decided to abandon his family duties.
You can feel bad for him, knowing what it's like to lose someone you're close to and with a reason to resent your clan or family.
Splinter may not be the young charming man that he was in the past, but he is full of surprises.
"Age has its privileges"
Tumblr media
Baron Draxum
If you're interested in dating a villain, Draxum is the one. This Yōkai looks very amazing in his mask and bodysuit, and even has his minions: Huginn and Muninn lay on his shoulders acting like shoulder pads.
Although, he does desire to take over Earth's surface by mutating all the humans for his mutant army. But, you cannot deny his skills in combat and alchemy, even his powers, he can grow vines out of nowhere, he can create portals, and made gauntlets out of plant-like substances. If you have a taste for theatrics, Draxum is the one, he does his speeches in a dark manner and overall dramatic posing.
He may resent towards humans, and is responsible for Splinter and the turtles' mutation years ago, but he would become more sympathetic to the humans when he developed a friendship with April O'Neil.
When he was reformed, he can be hard to open up, so you have to take with him slowly.
Tumblr media
April O'Neil
If you're looking for someone who is adventurous? April O'Neil is your girl.
She is upbeat, quick-witted, selfless, and go-with-the-flow, she is very brave and is quick to jump into action, she is not afraid to put up fight on anyone: human, mutant, creature, or animatronic.
She has a forgiving nature, she's very loyal to her friends and family, and she'll always be by their side.
Tumblr media
Cassandra Jones
Cassandra Jones or Casey Jones may be a tough one to date with, she can be intense, do frantic speech pattern, and the tendency to shout.
But, when you get to know her better, you'll get use to her behavior.
Tumblr media
Sunita
She made be a slimy Yōkai, but Sunita is enthusiastic, fun-loving, and feisty, embracing herself as a Yōkai in everyday life. She enjoys trying out new things and is open to experiencing all the sights and activities New York City has to offer. Sunita isn't afraid to fight and defend others.

Ok, this is inspired by Falling Feels Like Flying by @penguinwithitsarseonfire
Again, I blame @deepspacedukat
Pairing: Letant x reader
Warning: none, just sadness
Synopsis: Chasing someone who is a flight risk can be dangerous. Like Icarus, Letant learned not to fly to high when his wings couldn’t keep up
The Fall
Tumblr media
You were a lieutenant, a member of Deep Space Nine's crew. A flight risk, some of your colleagues would call you.
As soon as he saw you for the first time, his first instinct was to ask who she was. There was something about this lieutenant that drew him to you more than any other before you. The Ferengi bartender raised an eyebrow and cautioned him.
“You're going to need a lot of luck with that one. She’s a flight risk.” He warned.
A scowl escaped Letant's lips. He considered it impossible for a Starfleet Officer, particularly a human one, to be so irresponsible.
The Ferengi smirked as if challenging the Senator to see for himself. If he declined such a challenge, what kind of Romulan would he be?
He pursued you relentlessly since then, determined to make sure you understood the impact you had on his life. Letant hoped that his passionate words would enter her heart, each filled with metaphor and emotion.
Although their relationship blossomed into something stronger, there was no escaping the fact that you could just take flight any moment.
“She’ll never settle down, you know? This girl is a flight risk, after all” Odo grunt when he noticed the Senator staring at you
Letant just waved off his concern; he knew you too well.
In the meantime, he and those around him realized that you were ready to take flight alongside the Romulan. An indecent desire to flee shatters the hearts of a full-grown adult. There wasn't much surprise among the crew. Of course you’d like to take off, so you joined Starfleet.
Letant, of course, was on Cloud Nine. His Romulan pride reverberated wherever he went. Regardless of everything, you choose to be with him. In Romulus, you seemed closer and closer to making the planet your home, and Letant would look at you like no one could take this away from him. You just smiled at him.
You could feel Vreenak’s eyes on you. He and Letant were having a chat across the room, but it wasn't like you were paying attention to them.
“She is a flight risk’’ his friend’s voice was severe.
Letant paid no heed to his words. His friend should know that you wouldn’t fly away from him. Not when you two just started your lives.
Unwittingly, Letant spent every waking moment trying to keep his human close; ensuring you stayed deep-rooted by his side, no matter what occurred. However, as time went on, his attempts only served to increase your burgeoning wanderlust, pushing her farther away than ever before. Every attempt to control or tame this flight risk only strengthened your resolve to seek out more adventure.
The senator begged you not to leave until you'd at least given love a chance. Witnesses watched in awe as a proud Romulan thoroughly mixed intellectual tenderness with heartfelt passion. Despite his efforts, though, it seemed as if fate wanted them apart as every time you took flight again, chasing that pappy pipe dream of yours.
He would have resigned himself to merely being infatuated by this volatile woman if he hadn't encountered you yet again after months of searching. Overcome by joy, he rushed towards you like a hurricane and swept you off your feet. The euphoria Letant felt then was like nothing else he'd experienced before. You two spent what little time you had together dancing under the stars and talking late into the night. Somehow, even these brief moments managed to bring out the best in both of you, proving just how powerful your connection was. Inevitably, you left once again, but this time, you promised to come back for him when you were ready.
As the days went by without your return, his faith began to falter. However, despite all odds, you eventually came back. He realized why he couldn't write down his feelings for you - because this kind of love only existed at the moment, freed from language or rules. That spark between you burned brighter than any words ever could and it's still alive, long after you've said goodbye again.
Letant had never felt such intense emotions before in his life. It was a mixture of anxiety and bliss, with the certainty that it would soon be gone all too quickly. He couldn't explain why, but he was deeply in love with someone who could easily fly away from him at any moment; someone who felt like a bird in a cage whenever she stayed too long somewhere.
He kept insisting that if you just stopped long enough, you'd realize how much you shared and stay put for good. But even though there were moments when your connection seemed factual, something within you remained untouchable, enigmatic, and constantly tugging you away like an invisible force. Yet despite this looming inevitability, the Senator clung on desperately to whatever scraps of joy you could share. In those brief moments of clarity, he wished fervently that perhaps one day you might anchor yourself again without hesitation and choose to remain forever. Until there, there'll be the oath. To protect his heart, or what was left of it. To be a proper Romulan senator like he never was or could be. And he’ll do fine, he always does, before he finds you again. And there he’ll go again, breaking his oath. Whereas Letant is left wondering what could have been and dreaming of the day when you might come back into his life, the Romulan was curled up in a grip when he was you.

It's not "much too simple to say", i was just trying to give you information without the history lesson. It's not too easy because that's exactly what it was, there's documentation proving that completely outside of Greek mythology because Romans took everything from currency to art to poems. If you aren't doing enough research to know this i doubt you know much about HelPol beyond mythology and clearly not a lot about that either.
Also you tagged of your own post with "Roman Paganism", soooo 🤥 i wouldn't have mentioned it out of nowhere lmao
I was trying to be nice and give you some information lmfaooo you're not going to be happy until you piss off the wrong deity mixing together the wrong shit. You wouldn't be the first to get taught a lesson just because you didn't listen to experienced people. Beyond the fact that i've been practicing HelPol 8+ years, i do study this for school 😭
i tagged my post with "pagan" to get a wider reach to hopefully find more community here, not because i'm pagan. i didn't intend to seem rude when i said i was polytheist, if i did, i was just replying that i am not pagan.
romans were very interested in hellenic culture, that is true. but that doesn't mean they "stole" everything and simply rewrote the myths with some ulterior motive to demonize the grecian religion. religious syncretism happens at the wide scale, with leaders and violence, and imperialism. this was absolutely a factor in how religion spread, as with many things all across history.
religious syncretism also happens through the voluntary sharing of culture, art, and faith at the smaller scale through time. this is what happens when people interact with other people. there are plenty of examples of faith being shared across cultures, and though this has a bloody and violent history, it also has a history of humans being humans. humans wanting to share, even in the worst circumstances.
most things in the world have a bloody and violent history (including ancient greek culture, that you seem to hold so high on a pedestal as being better than the romans), and i can recognize that and still find the humanity within it.
and, i syncretize many aspects of the pantheons and faiths, but that doesn't just mean mashing them together. no, i do not think the greek and roman religions were the same and were even comparable in most aspects. i'm taking care to be respectful in anything i do, and that's between me and the gods.
obviously i don't study this as you claim to, but i try. you're being very condescending, even in your last ask you sent.
if you believe that modern people can practice in modern ways, in very different ways to the ancients and with different cultural understandings of the faith and the gods, then why can i not practice a syncretic form of worship? my worship is absolutely modernized, but syncretism of many ancient faiths is historically attested either way. just look at the pgm, look at isis, at serapis. bacchus.
look, i'm very tired. i don't want to continue this, because it doesn't seem like you are really interested in "being nice," just that you want things done your way and that's it.

Being on the cusp of 40 in this social climate..
Okay, so. Imagine. You're... 8-10 years old. It's 92-94, and you're just learning about the contemporary cultures of regions of people around you, in the U.S.A. There is a not inconsiderate population of people that consider themselves very worldly and learned by making cultural jambalaya out of things that don't normally go together. Maybe they're "spiritual" people, and maintain a bunch of different beliefs and traditions. Maybe they're secular and just think they're being worldly and respectful and learned by participating in and celebrating them all, regardless of their affiliation. Maybe they just like niknaks and collect them. From exotic foreign instruments, to books on mythology.
So you've got the same anglophone white dude and dudette celebrating Mexico's Day of the Dead (they aren't Latino. They MIGHT speak Spanish, but they were never invited to) and celebrating Ramadan and Zoroastrian rites and also some aboriginal Chinese mainland community traditions from peoples they've never met or visited. They have an eclectic mix of niknaks like African masks up on the walls of their home, regularly attempt to emulate the artistic styles of everything from Chinese pottery to Japanese pebble sculpture (that, 'make a sphere of grains of sand' thing), to a bunch of Native American dreamcatchers hanging around their houses- both bought from authentic N.As. and made.
They see the world as, "those white people that don't know anything but Judeo-Christianity and Eurocentrism" and "the enlightened, educated world where all cultures and races mix freely and exchange ideas." And the way they relate to you is similar to a college educated moron that namedrops big crunchy books by big important academic scholars and dry textbooks of facts, just to show off how more literate and science-y and factual they are than you, because literate = intelligent, agreeing with "smart", institutionally ingrained people (even if their opinions are dumb) proves you're also smart for drawing the same conclusions, and it's their "subtle" way of peacocking supremacy on matters of things and their meaning. "I read all these books" in context, meaning, "I'm your intellectual, and therefore, socially moral, superior. I know, you don't. Never challenge what I say or I'll show my bibliography of PhD having people with opinions and then ask you to cite your sources :^)" Proving to themselves and their stupid clique that they're the "not racist or white supremacist" kind of white people. They're an ally. They're educated. They're worldly.
And then 30 years later, whether they've cleaned out their house of these things or not, have adjusted to the mainline far-leftist stance that white people cannot have these things in their home and be considered allies, for they're, "appropriation." Now they smugly look down on white people that in the past freely adopted these values, whether in their arts and crafts, or in their creative works. Roleplaying games that used to feature a diverse assortment of monsters from many faiths and mythological traditions and pride themselves on doing more with them than sticking to European traditional monsters and stories, are now horribly offensive for "capitalizing on 'brown peoples' cultures for white people profit." (But the brown and black people can use European iconic mythological creatures and it's fine because, 'we colonized them, so it's their culture now too.')
Their homes are sad, minimalistic or flailing excuses for aesthetic, because they have Californian money but have adopted the party line that white people, "have no culture." So they follow nothing trends and try to fit in and make sure nothing they do is too "cultural." But it's hard, because they're playing a game where they're never allowed to advance beyond basic step 0 to stay in line with that whole, "white people don't and can't have culture, because they're not a culture or a people" thing, and just keep going back to minimalist modernism. So maybe they're Sad Beige Housewives or something. Anything to conform to this new place they've been told is theirs because to be anything else just proves to their clique they're bigots and no different from the common clay of offensive, bigoted white people that don't know any better and vote for Donald Trump.
Maybe they have children (or, now, grandchildren) that have joined the skittlehaired, perpetually fighty donut hole people that go around looking for "micro aggressions" to put the perpetrators in their places to "spread awareness," like their grandparents used to do. But those children/grand children consider them to be barely a few degrees removed from "those awful Trumpers" because they're older, and white, and, "that's just par for the course with white people in this white supremacist American society."
This same person that in the past would've written a Monster Beastiary for D&D featuring things like Native American monsters, now consider that to be wrong. However, they have no problem being as offensive as they wish with European cultural heritage in spirituality and demonology and necromancy, because they consider those to have no cultural moorings- "Europeans have no culture themselves." They'll have and maintain that bandwagoning value, even if it means to be a proper white person is to be visually flat and stylistically the equivalent of vaporwave without the redeeming qualities.
You're old enough to see this happen as a style trend, if only from afar.
The transition has been kind of jarring. Like watching radioactive waste turn into lead.

THE TRUTH AND SHAKA ZULU WILL KILL YOU
In a once-popular commercial for Calgon detergent in the 1970s, a curious housewife probes the Chinese owner of the local laundry for the answer to one of the world’s eternal mysteries: “How do you get shirts so clean, Mr. Lee?” After peering over his shoulder (so as to be sure that his not-so-discreet wife isn’t standing near) the man turns back around, raises a finger to his lips and says through a smile, “Ancient Chinese secret!”
While the answer to the question posed to the laundry owner by the woman was a closely guarded secret — one that his sweet, no-nonsense wife happily ruined — it was neither ancient nor even Chinese in origin. But the TV spot famously tapped into one of the most enduring legends about the country whose Ming Dynasty rulers had a 16-to-26 foot wall built around it: the age-old traditions of secrecy.
And, like Vegas, what happened in China very often stayed in China, just get the hell out of Alkebulan!!! But if you insist on staying, you and your barbarian invader horde of Ghengis Khan, wannabe warlords can take that beatdown like Hirihito of Japan. You can indulge in Alkebulan's rich resources for a season or get on a junk boat and go back to China and rebuild your own country. If you stay in the Motherland you'll perish🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿🖕🏿. As the saying goes, s**t happens. Wash ya ass. Please, continue reading… my screwed up mind !!!
Take the Black Chinese [Moabites] who once made up the entire population of China prior to Esau's attempt at reclaiming the birthright God decreed would be Jacob's while in the womb through forced miscegenation "Raping of indigenous women." Do not be confused or mislead by this post. My research was sketchy to say the least. The portion of the population before China’s modern era does not register any indigenous Moabites, for example. The fact that you’ve never heard of them proves the point. Here comes the BS. But don’t worry. You’re not alone. China has some 1.3 billion people and nearly all are just as in the dark about them. Well, either that or a billion people all swore to never-ever-never air any [ahem] ‘clean laundry’ about black folks formerly having a place in China’s allegedly homogeneous society. That's a bunch of made up monkey s**t. Frankly, even an ancient culture with the bragging rights to the longest continually recorded history, another myth, is bound to miss a few things like a heart, and some effing genomes. The former presence — up until sometime in the 20th century — of Black people in pre-modern China is one of them. Fortunately, though, old photos taken throughout China around the advent of photography can help us to fill in today some of what the historians missed on purpose. I can't believe I'm posting this. 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 China’s Qing Dynasty, established by the Manchu people who ruled from 1644–1912, is described as having been a vast multicultural empire. But it appears multicultural could also be a more pleasant euphemism for multiracial. You people are like dogs, stop eating them?! Nothing illustrates this better than the Black and white photos taken by visitors from Europe in the mid-to-late 1800s. Really?!! John Thomson, an Irish photographer was one of the first to capture images that reveal a surprisingly more diverse makeup of then-contemporary China. In one of the most stunning photos taken by Thomson displayed above, six women dine together in a courtyard. Captioned “Manchu ladies at a meal,” the picture was taken in 1869 in the city of Peking (now Beijing). Seated at the center of the photo are two women: on the right sits a typical high class Manchu and on the left sits a smiling Black woman — who could easily pass as the mother of the RZA, the GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, or any other member of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Apart from the physical differences in the women (including the two who were likely seated, but stood for the picture), what’s also remarkable is that when Thomson writes about them, he makes no distinctions — though there were both racial and class differences; some of them were most assuredly attendants or maids. But in the view of Thomson, they were all simply Manchu ladies sharing a meal on a day when he sought interesting subjects to photograph. I saw the photographs. The darker ones were inherently claimed to be lower case workers or servants, while the ones who looked like Lucy Liu were considered affluent, and well off. These racial disparities that evolved from hell are a sad reminder to a wound that won't stop bleeding because of man's inability to stop giving in to his base emotions. I plead cray cray, and insanity. Jacob, they would rather burn in hell for an eternity than let us live in peace for a day. God is coming back for Israel not the Christian Church that has been corrupted by the Evangelical, right wing, nut jobs.
1 Maccabees 3:48
And laid open the book of the law, wherein the heathen had sought to paint the likeness of their images.
If you study history, and read the Bible, you'll see how religion has been used to divide God's people which they're not. Some gentiles will walk into New Jerusalem, the vast majority of them won't. The Bible has been tampered with by people who are shepherds for the Devil. The Catholic Church is Satanic no matter how you cut it. The cathedral of Notre Dame had gargoyles mounted atop the edifice looking over the city of Paris, France. Do you find this to be a bit of a double minded mentality or a slap of defiance in God's face. What god do you worship? We want to know the truth from God. This world can't be trusted with an anorexic T-Rex. You'd call it a crackhead and dump him in the Labrea tar pits unless it was a female, at that point you would attempt to crossbreed it with a Chihuahua, and hope to domesticate this new animal which has disaster written all over his I'm shaking cause I need a fix quick, petrified ass. When Vatican City is destroyed let that be a warning from God to those who still have a sliver of faith in God, get a relationship with Him. Jacob, this writing piece reveals their unwillingness, and froward hearted, lack of sensibility by not telling the whole truth. Instead they give us a revised version of history that wasn't. They have been our teachers for the last 500yrs when we were there's previous. Either you learn from your mistakes or continue to repeat them.
Zechariah 8:23
Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
If you hate being rebuked by a Black professor with a tenure ship, you'll hate being corrected by a Black child who has 5 degrees including a specialist in biochemical, ecological science, and psychology. You're ashamed because you're proud. There were great African kingdoms that educated the anglo European that's been shrouded in history. The book of Maccabees says the people who have mislead, and lied to us are as knowledgeable as a 13yr old using crib notes. I'm nuttier than a can of Planters, the truth is in you Jacob. Utilize the authority given to you. You will have to teach them as it was in the past. Everything from Bible scriptures, to aerospace, science engineering. The educational system is designed to hold back Black children, but the 3 people with the highest IQs in the world at the time was a 10yr old Black male, an 2 Black females under the age of 8. They were the youngest members of Mensa ever. This was about 4yrs ago. You can't stop God's anointing from glowing and glorifying Him and His people. Read the rest of this article and lose your mind. Its a nauseating and frustrating read. The truth will set you free. It ain't in these hood boogers
Written accounts by early Chinese historians tell us that the Tonkin region and its adjacent areas were once a hotbed of various non-Han Chinese peoples, including those from whom the Lao Cai girl descends. But with the southward advance of the Han Chinese, such groups were pushed even further south, or gradually assimilated into the dominant population. Historian Thant Myint-U writes in “Where China Meets India” that during the 9th century, the Chinese ethnographer Fan Cho compiled the Man Shu, or “Book of the Southern Barbarians.” Fan Cho describes there the varied peoples living in and around Yunnan. Included among them were the Wu-man or ‘Black southern barbarians,’ so-called for their dark complexions. And ironically, the French author of the Lao Cai photo had the image annotated with the Chinese word “Man,” and — sadly — with the Vietnamese “Xa” (or Kha), signifying servant or slave.
With this photo of a mother and her two children by John Thomson, taken on the streets of Peking (now Beijing), something finally clicked. For reasons that won’t be detailed here (as it would take far too long to explain) more than a decade of research into the peopling of Asia seemed to suggest that any black Chinese still living in the age of photography would likely all be found in southernmost China. Black Moabites still coexist in China to this day. This is a class study in you must be dumber than an incubator.
In his 1902 book The Boxer Uprising, American photographer James Ricalton includes this photo of several dozen men, many of them likely to be executed the next day for their part in the Boxer Rebellion. The latter was a bloody, anti-foreign and anti-Christian uprising that took place between 1899 and 1901; the 2006 Jet Li film Fearless was inspired by events that took place in the aftermath of the rebellion. The same is also true of the 1971 Bruce Lee film Fist of Fury. No actors in the aforementioned films — nor any other martial arts films set in pre-modern China — ever had actors resembling the non-Han Chinese mixed in above. About them, the racist Ricalton writes:
“This is truly a dusky and unattractive brood. One would scarcely expect to find natives of Borneo or the Fiji Islands more barbarous in appearance; and it is well known that a great proportion of the Boxer organization is of this sort; indeed, how dark-skinned, how ill-clad, how lacking in intelligence, how dull, morose, miserable and vicious they appear!” I'm willing to bet you 5 million in Bitcoin that I don't have, a lifetime supply of opium, and 2 happy ending massages daily that this bougie French bastard is rotting in hell praying to white Jesus that Rumiel won't screw him up the wahoo tonight. Tickle his sack!!! Like Thomas Cromwell the powers that be went to great lengths to cover this history in ChinaTown. You can't hide the truth from a people that's tired of being dictated to, oppressed, lied on, abused and persecuted by everybody, and discredited for the contributions they've made to this damnable planet. As previously stated we don't want crumbs [reparations] we want the whole planet Black before you, and the I hate n**gers brigade showed up, that includes Moo Goo Gai Pan. As soon as his Chicken fried, Bat Man eating, pancaked backside came along, and gained some freedoms, he started emulating his zaddy, he became drunk with xenophobia like the rest. If you hate my commentary tell ya boy Biden or his Amerikkka is not a racist country VP, Kamala Harris. She's next in line to preside as Pontius Pilate over this damnation unless Biden loses his dementia. Its a joke, think or buy a vowel. If that doesn't work, swap some Budha, and kiss Mr. Nasty bye bye.

(Imperialism etc anon) Ok I get where you're coming from! Thank you for being understanding. While Zutara is obviously not inherently racist or anything there are zutara interpretations that *are* racist (example: fire lady katara which I can get into) and it does need to be acknowledged that Zuko's status as fire nation royalty does create a power imbalance between him and Katara. Now, this is a conversation that has a lot of nuance to it but it seems like the people harassing you are (1/2)
(2/2) just repeating some genuine critique they saw without understanding what it means just to say that they're right, harassing people in the process. I did not have that context when sending that first ask and I apologize, since anons harassing you and others are clearly doing it out of bad faith. I just didn't like the leveraging of concepts that really matter in real life (colonialism, etc), ykwim? But I get what you were trying to do.
hey anon I’m finally getting to you after 84 years XD
so first off, I want to be careful about how I approach this because I understand that as a white person (even if my ancestors experienced imperialism) in the US I absolutely benefit from imperialism and don’t want to like, idk, whitesplain XD so if anyone gets annoyed with any way I say anything, just lmk and I’ll rework it. and I also do understand that these are real world issues that are far more consequential than messaging in media (although I do think it’s very important that we challenge messages in media because of media’s influence on our thinking and politics).
but before I talk about zuko and his relationship to fire nation imperialism, and then later fire lady katara and why it isn’t INHERENTLY racist but definitely can be, I want to talk about the atla fandom and how we got here. like, why I assume that most anons who come at zutara shippers are asshats acting in bad faith. if you already know fandom history, skip this section.
1. atla and the fandom has always been kind of shitty and racist
so IDK if everyone is familiar with the history of the ship war in atla fandom, but it’s regarded as one of the nastiest ship wars in fandom history which I agree lol. atla’s creators were some of the first to interact with the fandom the way they did - back then it wasn’t all that common for creators to get into twitter feuds with fans and boundaries were respected more than they are now imo. but for better or worse, and it is a mixed bag, bryke interacted with fandom a lot. certainly at cons but also on social media.
but honestly things really got extra mean in fan spaces when bryke made a “joke” atla season 4 slideshow out of fan art (some of which was really sexual in nature and totally inappropriate) that mocked fans’ creations, but especially zutara fanart and zutara itself. it was pretty tasteless especially considering how most zutara fans were teen girls, and featured some art of sokka saying that if you think zuko and katara would be good together, you’re doomed to have failed relationships. that’s where the whole “dark and mysterious” bs came from, which does describe some zutara fic but not even most of it lol. I actually do respect bryke a lot despite my criticism of them, but I don’t think I’ll ever get over that shit. like even if you hate zutara, even if it’s a joke, we were kids. and they were adults, and the whole thing was nasty.
however, the ship war was chaotic and messy, but it does feel worse now. maybe it’s because back then the fandom was MOSTLY teens and kids, and I don’t think that’s true now. we were all trying to prove our ship was best with like, content from the show and theories and all that, and now it’s like... whose ship is ~problematic lol it’s a show by white us americans appropriating from various cultures impacted negatively by us/british imperialism that they then profited off of, of course it’s racist. that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t talk about that, and in fact many poc have been saying this shit for years - that atla is racist and colorist at many times (guru pathik anyone?) and no one really listened.
if fans are complaining only about zutara, then I’m automatically writing them off as being insincere or ignorant. and since most of these people are anonymous, I have no idea if they are having substantive discourse about colorism in avatar or cultural appropriation (even if it is mostly appreciative). if you are on anon, I have no context about what you actually think except for what you give me. and that definitely is how I view anons in general but especially within the atla fandom because for all 13-ish years I’ve been in it, it’s been messy. that’s why zutara fans have isolated ourselves from the rest of fandom, because the rest of fandom has been really nasty to us. like did we give back some nastiness? absolutely.
but I would hazard a guess that most anti-zutara shippers don’t know about the conversations we have had in this community to make it safer for people of color, conversations that centered poc and woc especially. hey, that’s okay - not to compare zutara to r*ylo because eurgh but like, idk what discourse the r*ylos have about their community. no idea, I don’t go looking for it. and I don’t go to the tags and harass r*ylos - even though they harass the fuck out of everyone else.
2. so zuko and his privilege
undoubtedly zuko as fire lord is in a fairly privileged position LMFAO. but during the show zuko is very clearly exiled - he holds very little political power in the fire nation EXCEPT for during the first season when he is in command of a ship that ozai gave him on a punishment quest lol like yeah he does terrible things and he of all people would not excuse his actions even if he was a traumatized kid, that’s the point of his arc - that he got some exposure to the rest of the world and worked to be better. and the only reason he was exiled at all was because he cares about people - he didn’t question fire nation supremacy at 13, but he sure did question the morality of his people being lead to slaughter.
but after zuko and iroh defect from the fire nation and stop hunting aang, he has next to no power, in any kind of way. like the guy is a political refugee. and yes, he goes back to the fire nation for like five minutes before realizing that he hates everything about fire nation hegemony and that he wants to end his father’s reign of terror, like that isn’t exactly someone who is going to be well esteemed by the powerful elites when he returns and takes the throne.
and I disregard the comics because they suck lol but zuko does have power as the fire lord, but he limits his power. like compared to ozai, phoenix asshole? azula? for the rest of the world, zuko is kind of an ideal leader for a former colonizing/imperialistic nation to have - someone who worked to end that tyranny, who is anti-imperialist, who believes in justice and equality, who wants to make things right for the peoples who his family oppressed.
I do think it is important to talk about power dynamics and imbalances in relationships - for instance, one could argue that mai is at a significant disadvantage in her relationship with zuko. sure she is from a powerful family but not as powerful as zuko’s. sokka? hah forget it. he’s just as disadvantaged as katara is politically speaking. toph? well, she’s definitely not as powerful politically as zuko - her family tried to silence her for years because of her disability. and oh, she’s disabled so it might be ableist for zuko to strike up a relationship with her when they’re both adults. forgetting of course that toph and sokka and katara and suki and mai are not going to be shy about their wants and needs, that these relationships are not likely to be coercive by nature of the show they’re in and the characters they involve. this is not bill clinton with monica creepiness. like, you’d have to write the relationship that way.
the only person who arguably has more political power than zuko is aang. I guess zuko can’t ever be in a relationship with anyone other than aang. and zuko’s family massacred aang’s people so I guess we can’t ship zukaang. now I know you’re not saying that, context matters. power dynamics are important. but you can’t take away the agency of characters - katara, who is essentially a princess, has agency and can choose who she wants to be with. strictly speaking, aang is more powerful than anyone in terms of political power - he’s the avatar - and of course the dynamic is different by nature of aang not being from a line of oppressors, but there still is a power imbalance in their relationship. and I don’t know how many k/ataang shippers have discourse~ on that. not that I really feel like they NEED to, um idk what they talk about lol I’m not in those circles.
3. fire lady katara is in the eye of the beholder
so fire lady katara is not inherently bad or racist, it’s essentially like saying michelle obama shouldn’t have been first lady of the us (now I get that like the obamas being in power didn’t mean black people are not marginalized lol). you can have conversations about whether or not individual versions of fire lady katara are fucked up, and I’m superrrr open to that because I’ve seen it be kinda shitty before. i’m just gonna leave this link to @shewhotellsstories and her post on this.
but often times katara as fire lady is very dominant in global/fire nation/water tribe politics, she’s a game changer ambassador (that is probably the most popular headcanon I see), she holds on to her culture (and many fans have designed her being in her wt colors, zuko is respectful af to her, she and zuko spend extended periods in the swt, etc. like... it just depends on the way it’s written.
also leaving this response by @avatarnerdkiller to the idea of katara being a prize figurehead.
anyway, thanks for your patience anon and I am curious to see if you see this or even feel like responding after all this time XD

The little sister...
Game: Love Island Season 2
Name: Sawyer Wright
Age: 23
Hometown: Lancashire
Occupation: Influencer/Gamer
Love Interests: Henrik, Lucas (Lottie if she had been an option from the start)
Theme Song: King by Lauren Aquilina
----------------
I've always imagined Sawyer as the younger sister of my first Love Island character Journey. However, unlike how Journey never went to Love Island in my headcanon, Sawyer did... just her time may not have ended in love. The character I had built up in my head would have walked after her LI chose another girl after Casa Amor. That or she would have recoupled with Bobby, but as a friend until eventually being voted off. So while the Sawyer in my game got married to Henrik and went on living a happily ever after on her log cabin honeymoon with all her closest friends, the Sawyer in my head turned away without a word and walked off the moment Henrik lost faith. Currently that version of her is hiding out recuperating at her sister's flat wondering why she's always picking the wrong people.
Sawyer is, without a doubt, the biggest, most unpredictable goofball. She loves engaging with people and going on adventures. Her career often has her spending plenty of long hours at home behind a screen, but she's amassed a close knit community and is always open to adventure vlogs and crazy stunts for charity. She's a bit of a tomboy, but isn't totally hopeless when she wants to impress someone with her looks. When you have a camera on you every day, you learn that appearance is important.
Love Island really gave Sawyer the chance to make a few lasting, strong IRL friendships that her life lacked beforehand due to the nature of her job. Her goofy, open personality often means that she's easy to get along with and once you're in her good books she's a stalwart protector and companion who never backs down. All she asks is that you're honest and genuine in your intentions. While Sawyer is always up for a cheeky prank, she doesn't look well on manipulative tactics or fake people, especially since she isn't the best at sussing those sorts of people out.
In her past Sawyer has had poor luck in love. She appreciates looks and while she isn't a pushover, she also is a bit too forgiving and may overlook warning signs. She's an optimist who expects to get what she puts in, but that isn't usually the case and many of her relationships have ended from unfaithfulness and manipulative men finally showing their true colors. Still, Sawyer is dogged in her pursuit for love, throwing herself back into the mix every time she's been knocked out.
In terms of what she's looking for, Sawyer wants a guy who can be her Player Two. She wants a companion who shares in her interests and is just as comfortable jumping from a plane or travelling the world as they are at home playing a board game. She isn't picky on looks, but quite likes someone who is a bit different from the rest. She also needs someone who can support her at her worst, but won't try and carry her when she's doing just fine. In fact, a guy who doesn't mind a girl who is just as physically strong as them is a plus because she could probably carry a guy around if needed.
Sawyer has had a history of self worth issues, even if she doesn't always show it on the outside. While she's usually a relaxed person, when she's hit by stress without any time to prepare for it she can fall back into some unhealthy habits she developed as a teenager. A stressed out Sawyer is a Sawyer that doesn't eat and gets sick when she does without someone there to anchor her back in reality. As a teen she went to therapy for her disorder, and while she's lived quite a healthy adulthood every so often it sneaks up on her again. For the most part, she's always had family to help her manage it, but Love Island proved to be the hardest time for her on her own. Luckily, she made some really amazing friends to support her.
Although my headcanon of Sawyer may not have found love or won money, she's richer in the people around her, and that suits her just fine.

Feeling Like Someone Else
The air around Javinth and Corandes was dark and thick with the power they channeled. It wasn't the first time they had done this together - but it was when Corandes planned to infect his test subject's guardian. Through the spell Javinth had caught only fogged glimpses over time. The hybrid elf-phoenix Corandes had ranted over had gone to Firelands. The exact reason wasn't known - Corandes was eager to believe it was because they were running scared but Javinth wasn't sure. Even through spellwork usually he could get a feel for someone's emotional state.
Not so with the ones on the other side of Corandes' spell. It was as if something was blocking him - his paranoia normally would have backed off just from that alone. Except the girl and her guardians seemed completely unaware of the tendrils of void Corandes had managed to hide at a soul deep level - mostly because he was channeling through a child himself. A girl whom Javinth had an unshakeable feeling of familiarity whenever he stared at her too long. It was something in the shape of her face, the way she frowned, even the shade of blue of her eyes. He just… couldn't put his finger on it.
Nor did it matter. Corandes needed her as a focal point, nothing more. Their spells didn't even affect her themselves. Javinth kept his mind and his power on their work. Zof was eager to see Corandes' plan through and the augmented power coursed through him, almost euphoric as he twisted it through Corandes' design.
"We have him!" Corandes crowed, triumphant as the surged of void went through the poor child on the other side and slid right through into her guardian. Zof's own joy echoed through Javinth and it was that moment as he traveled with the void power, urging it to hide the seed deep inside that the fog lifted just a moment.
A breathless, horrifying moment where he could see exactly who Corandes was after - and knew without a doubt his own blade had betrayed him. It wasn't their victim that had hidden himself from him. It was Zof.
He ripped himself from the spellwork - too late, much too late. "No - ! Zof, we had a deal!"
Corandes' voice rose but he wasn't paying attention to him anymore. He grasped at the dagger sheathed by his spine and ripped it from its enclosure. Fury and desperation raced through him in equal measure. "The one thing - the one thing I asked from you for decades was that we would leave my siblings out of it!"
'The opportunity was too good to pass up. We can't allow your sentiment for a brother who doesn't even know you to let this pass us by.' Zof sounded faintly annoyed and not at all apologetic. Not that Javinth had really expected it.
"It doesn't matter now," Javinth said, decision weighing him down. "You broke your end of the bargain so I - "
His voice let out mid syllable. His throat no longer moved no matter what he tried to say. Between one blink of Corandes moving toward him and another his vision went gray, then black. He recognized the symptoms - he was the one who sometimes did this to others. He could feel the mental box he had been neatly tucked into, obviously prepared ahead of time. The walls were seamless at first attempt - but there was always a weakness.
'You will do nothing when you're so emotional. You'll stay here until you've calmed down and are thinking rationally. If you believe ending our bargain is so simple as all that then you have not been paying attention my friend.' Zof left him with the mental equivalent to a pat on the head.
Javinth didn't have teeth to grit but the sensation was there, the emotional need to gather himself and lock down his fury still present. He didn't care what his blade said - he certainly wasn't going to stay well behaved in a box in his own mind. No matter how well crafted there was always a weakness.
Zof had taught him that.
It was not the kind of realization that led to feeling a lot of hope.

Zof'ethazel opened Javinth's eyes to find Corandes staring at him from several paces farther back than he had been last they had seen them. Trying a friendly smile only made the elf lean back and narrow his eyes. A smart one, this favored one of Yogg-Saron's. He spoke before Zof had quite remembered how vocal chords worked. "You're not Javinth."
"No, I've had to take over for him for awhile." Zof flowed to their feet, cocking their head as Corandes took a step back and glanced down to follow his gaze. Ah, right, the legs were used for that. Retracting the ever so helpful tentacles back inside they inspected Javinth's skin to see what gave the changed identity away. The runes on javinth's skin that were invisible the majority of the time were not in the visible spectrum but were - "glowing darkly" was an oxymoron but even the elven language had limits. Yet, that alone couldn't be enough. "How do you know I am not Javinth?"
"Besides the tentacles, the eyes, the fact your skin changed color there for a minute, and the light absorbing runes? Javinth's a fucking priest. Of the void, sure, but he feels like a priest. Belief, faith, the power of something else they all leave marks. He has his own power but he's also very obviously touched by something else. You don't feel touched by something else. You feel like you are that something else." Corandes stepped closer now, thirst for knowledge overriding his survival instincts. "You're not N'zoth, obviously. But you're… more than I've felt off of most of the Faceless and Void creatures."
Zof felt their new elven lips twist into a delighted grin. "Yogg-Saron really lucked out with their favored ones, Corandes. This is why I couldn't let Javinth's little moment there ruin your work. Of course… he'll get out eventually. But until he does you have something much closer to the Void to make use of. We'll have to find you some long term allies a bit less attached to your end goal."
"He… mentioned siblings. Lyren only had a sister." Corandes scowled. "A thankfully dead sister."
"Ah, Javinth was an indiscretion of their shared father's. A lovely young shadow worthy priestess herself, his mother Jamira was just bitter enough about the entire situation to re-enter Javinth's life long enough to tell him all about the twins his father did decide to keep. It didn't work quite how she wanted." Zof's lips curled downward. "On the one hand, they made an easy tool of manipulation. On the other hand… now we have this situation."
"Why does he care if he never even met Lyren?" Corandes demanded, crossing his arms. "He doesn't seem that… easy to get attached to someone."
"He did meet him. Them. A small handful of times while they were growing up. Often disguised." Zof tapped one of the only two rings Javinth wore, the stone a bright glowing gold… now with the tiniest shifting drop of dark purple flicking in the midst. "Long enough. You have no idea how difficult it was to block him from seeing with this on his hands. He should be thanking you - now the mystery of the time it was cracked and dark for several days is perfectly explained."
"That tracks Lyren." Corandes' gaze was intent - and obsessed. Zof chuckled, and shifted left. Ah - a little too far. He appeared on Corandes' other side and the  elf jumped back, power roaring up to defend him.
"Peace - an accident. I am not used to having this form to run amuck in." They rolled their shoulders, darkness rolling with their muscles and dripping off their clothes. "Mmm. Interesting. Now, as to the ring - it won't work for you. It won't even work for me, for all that I am using Javinth's body. My wielder is very cunning with the things he feels are precious."
"Given enough time, I could undo it." Corandes sounded very sure. Zof felt a spark of irritation and didn't realize they must have done something until Corandes' eyes went wide and he bowed his head. "Forgive me… Great One. I meant no disrespect."
Zof waited a moment, stared at that bowed head. He had meant disrespect. He felt Javinth was weak because of what Zof had done, his magics easy to unweave. It was tempting, to simply do away with Yogg-Saron's favored for the insult. The Old God might be annoyed at the loss of a minion more useful than the average madman but not enough to truly make an effort. Mere moments and Corandes would know the folly of underestimating Javinth - or Zof.
Ah, but then what would become of his plans for the the phoenixes? Zof's gaze roamed, spotting the female that hadn't moved from where Corandes had ordered her to stay. Despite the going-ons around her she was perfectly obedient. They sighed, turning away from Corandes. "It would be a waste to destroy you now when you have done so much. Gather your focus. We will find you tools of power, allies worthy of your greatness. And… Perhaps introduce you to Javinth's newest little makeshift apprentice along the way. She could use another perspective if Javinth proves… difficult."
"Apprentice?" Corandes muttered but to Zof's pleasure he did go and pack up his things and the girl, ordering her into bird form with only a word and loading her cage onto the small floating disc he was using to transport his things behind their mounts. "I've done well with my brothers' resources and minds so far."
"Of course. And you should continue to use those. But there is more out there, and you will want the best preparations won't you?" In truth Zof only had a vague inkling what they were looking for, a mix of something Javinth's had likely long ago overheard (or more likely picked out from someone's mind) and the intuition of the Void.
It didn't matter that they didn't actually know. All that mattered was Corandes followed, and Javinth stayed in his box. The latter wouldn't last for long.
Just long enough.
