I feel like so many people misunderstand BOTW/TOTK Link especially (Zelda too, but that's another topic entirely)
His lack of expressiveness IS a personality trait. It's a direct result of the pressure on his soldiers to be a perfect soldier, hero, and savior. No, he's not Skyward Sword Link, and never will be, because his story is completely different.
"But [other Link] hugged Zelda when he got her back!" and this Link maintained a respectful distance as his princess's subordinate - but ALSO out of respect for Zelda as a person, because she spent her whole childhood having her agency denied and he wants to let her initiate even something as simple as platonic contact whenever possible. He's being kind!
(And yes, I know that primarily only the "he is a knight and she is a princess" part is directly supported in the actual game, but I'll remind the people making comparisons that the dynamic was COMPLETELY different in their favorite comparison game, Skyward Sword. But also... look at the gentleness with which Link interacts with Zelda, the tenderness that he shows so few other characters - Mipha probably being the closest example. Look at the way he looks to her first to see what to do in every scene they're in together, unless he's protecting her from an immediate threat to her life. Notice how outside of that, Zelda IS usually the one to initiate any physical contact)
I also personally hate it when people describe quiet, not very expressive people as "lacking personality" because... my partner IRL is like that. If she expressed herself at all around most people, it's in a very flat, reserved way. I've seen how it hurts her that people treat her like she doesn't have a personality, like she isn't even a full person - and I know that's real life and Zelda is fiction, but come on, do you think all the people that aren't highly expressive and extroverted don't hear that about very popular characters and internalize it?
Being reserved is a personality trait. Being cautious and not impulsive is a personality trait. In fact, I'd even say just because you as an expressive, extroverted person see Link as a blank slate to project your own personality onto, doesn't mean he actually is or was even intended that way.
(I also think this is a very US-centric point of view, honestly. There's plenty of cultures where even BOTW Link would be considered at least close to average - Finnish culture specifically comes to mind, even if he's still slightly exaggerated in that regard as, y'know, a character.)
Idk, this is as much a silly little vent post as anything, it's not that serious, etc, but whatever
(and don't get me started on "oh Zelda got no agency in TOTK and she learned the powers she was struggling overnight". No, it's called a time skip, and just because she learned her powers before the 13th hour this time - which yeah, she would get them easier this time with a mentor who could actually use the same powers, and having already learned to use her light powers - doesn't mean it just "happened overnight". And... she didn't express agency? She was actively influencing the entire flow of the timeline, changing the actions of her ancestors by convincing her ancestors to act, learning to control her powers and fighting Ganondorf, and finally expressing the ultimate form of autonomy in choosing to sacrifice herself to save the world. Some of the criticisms of TOTK didn't even seem to play the same game. Just because a heroine isn't a pop feminist badass who *gasp* wears pants and easily and perfectly kicks every villain's ass, doesn't mean she "has no agency" and is being sidelined. Like, a princess engaging in courtly politics is neither powerless nor "doing nothing")

Hi!! Could I request a Yan!Yoriichi vs Yan!Michikatsu for reader who's like Mipha from BotW?
Hmm. That sounds interesting! I can try this out!
Yandere! Romantic! KNY Hashira Scenarios: Tsugikuni Yoriichi Vs Tsugikuni Michikatsu
Tumblr media
Unconditional kindness is like finding a gemstone within the rock, for the Tsugikuni Twins. Their entire lives, they were reduced to merely prototypes built to swing over six swords, like they never had emotions or desires
Their originally empty grey world finally found colour when you showed up, a angelic beam that changed the course of their destinies forever. They wanted love, they wanted you
Both twins became obsessed with you in very little time. You’re so kind and soft spoken, they both want that to be theirs and not a lot of things around them can stop that
Yoriichi is actually a very sweet Yandere. He can’t bring himself to hurt you in any form or fashion but he doesn’t mind stalking you in the midst of night. You won’t know about his twisted ways since he keeps it under the rug
Michikatsu, on the other side of the coin, isn’t that secretive of his passion and possession over you. He openly expresses his desires, stealing your belongings to feed his fantasies, pulling you away from others to have your attention
They realise fast that they both like you and the intense rivalry of twin brothers begin. All for love, they further stray apart and whilst Michikatsu actually hates Yoriichi, Yoriichi starts to hate Michikatsu for trying to take away his love
Yoriichi and Michikatsu argue, and argue like badly, over you. These arguments are usually verbal but Michikatsu will eventually raise his katana as a empty threat towards his twin but Yoriichi won’t take that shit, he won’t back down
They both clung onto you and play tug of war with you to force you to spend time with them. No matter what you’re doing or where you are, the Tsugikuni Twins will find you and suggest you follow them, eventually getting into a fight with one another
Which twin will take rivals’ life? It’s clearly Michikatsu. Yoriichi may be rotten and cruel now, but he isn’t for taking lives in fear that it’ll make you terrified of him, whilst Michikatsu will drain people like packets for merely looking at you. He isn’t afraid to express his killer instincts
Yoriichi is very protective towards you. This world is just full of demons and the only beings he is willing to slay for your safety is those rotten demons. Even in public with humans, Yoriichi is watching you like a hawk
Michikatsu follows you everywhere you go, he must monitor you to quell himself. To control his anxiety, he learns about your routines and learns about every events you go so he can better. If he knows everything about you, he has more of a chance
Your demure, introverted nature is intriguing to them, that you’re gentle but prefer to stay in the back. You’re courageous when you need to be and that is absolutely beloved by the twins. They just love your personality, they can’t help themselves
“My love. Please don’t get swept up with my brother, he is not the nicest out there and his intentions could be very wrong”
“Darling, my brother is a rotten liar. Don’t trust anything he says, he just wants to keep us apart, when we’re both meant for each other”

The way that a decent chunk of the Zelda fandom still insists on denying one of the most classic and easiest to spot forms of fandom misogyny annoys me to no end. Often in their quest to prove that the way they act about Yona isn't based in misogyny, they unknowingly prove my point. Popular retort being, "she's boring/badly written" even though Link is just as boring and poorly written due to reasons that are worse than Yona's, as well as Sidon's writing being pretty bare bones. I never ever see anyone hating Link and Sidon, nor any other characters who also "came out of nowhere." This, whether people like OR INTEND it, shows misogyny because of the double standard. Male characters are allowed to have bad writing and come out of nowhere, female characters are not.
In fact, another character who came out of nowhere and gets in the way of a ship is Tauro! Nobody and I mean NOBODY complains about him being new, nor do they complain about him getting in the way of Linpaya. (Do not lie to me and say Linpaya isn't as popular as the other ship. Do not.) I hope the reason is obvious. Yona is doomed to be torn apart by the fandom, because she is a newly introduced female character that gets in the way of an androcentric ship. Even if it weren't an mlm ship she got in the way of, people would still be awful of course, but the fact that it's 2 men instead of one, it's completely androcentric and results in people being 200% more awful about it. Because a woman who gets in-between something that is focused only on men is automatically the devil.
If you want a quick example of this same misogyny but instead with m/f ships, a good example is how the fandom treats Mipha. She also "gets in the way" of a ship, Zelink. People constantly call her a groomer, and basically any other evil word you can think of despite the fact that she literally cannot get in the way of Zelink. Because she's dead. And their relationship is still written as unrequited even when she's not dead.
People also like to say that the people who ship Miphlink and Sidyona are evil, which confuses the hell out of me because I've never met a mean Miphlink shipper, and the only evil Sidyona shipper is me. So where do we go from here. I'd also argue that hating a ships fandom because of it's misogyny and making such known isn't evil but I digress. Some people get called evil for simply saying they don't like the ship so idk what these people's qualifications for evil even are.

hey if you have any more botw champion headcanons can you share them pls bc your others were great ty <3
Oh bestie you don't even know how many of these I have.
More BOTW Champion Headcannons but This Time Someone Did Ask Me:
Daruk saw Mipha with painted nails and asked if she could do his. She said yes.
Link also got nail polish, but he paints his own nails.
Link is actually a really good cook and everyone always asks him to bring food to social functions.
Revali and Urbosa once got into an argument where he said, "I couldn't give a flying fuck!" and she responded with, "But you are a flying fuck!"
Daruk keeps pictures of the younger champions (Link, Zelda, Mipha) on his Sheikah Slate and shows them off to random people like a proud dad.
They once had dinner in Gerudo Town and Revali and Daruk got into a who can eat the most spice contest hosted by Link. Daruk won.
Both Mipha and Daruk constantly hug the other champions for various reasons.
Link is lowkey kinda feral and sometimes Urbosa or Daruk will have to pick him up by the back of his shirt like a cat.
Urbosa shows no mercy when it comes to defending the other champions when they're insulted, including Revali. She's the only one who can say that to him.

*raises hand* I would like to hear your Yona/Sidon/Link court relationship ideas. All the Yona hate sucks :(
Wow I did not expect anyone to actually ask!! Thank you btw
Mostly my ideas line up with one of the posts I've reblogged earlier about Yona and Sidon's political marriage, but I have a LOT of ideas of my own to expand on that. I hope you'll stay with me.
Canon Stuff
Sidon and Yona were childhood friends.
Sidon and Yona's marriage was arranged.
Sidon looked upon Yona as an older sister but hadn't seen much of her since childhood.
He has been bashful and nervous around her since she arrived in the Domain.
Sidon views Link as his best friend and closest companion and apparently values that relationship so much he replaced the statue of Mipha in the courtyard with one of him and Link fighting divine beast Ruta together.
Though I did have a shocked and jealous initial reaction to Sidon and Yona's engagement when first learning of it, I quickly recovered when I put a little thought into the situation. Of course I immediately (and correctly) assumed that the marriage was probably arranged and political in nature, as most royal marriages go.
It also reminded me of my thoughts on Zelda and Link's relationship. Despite seeing obvious love and devotion between the two, I didn't feel any romantic tension between them. I wonder now if this is deliberate: to sort of keep their relationship without a label and sort of highlight their distinct roles as princess and knight in their working relationship, but I digress. I saw the same sort of situation with Sidon and Yona--they obviously love each other, and are devoted to each other, but there is a lack of romantic tension. All of these observations are subjective, and I don't want to step on the toes of Zelink and Sidona lovers--these could definitely blossom into something romantic!
Then I thought about the nature of royal courts back in their heyday, at least the royal courts of Europe, which the system in BOTW/TOTK seems most similar to. There were countless royals, male and female alike, who kept lovers outside of their arranged marriages. Some countries were more strict about it, and of course some relationships were more allowed than others, but it happened all the time.
I also thought about the lives of queer people in times where it was less accepted, especially those who entered into heterosexual marriages. There was more than one reason for these decisions. There was of course the obvious: stay safely in the closet, but sometimes these people wanted to have families, sometimes they wanted to give their spouse a home and a companion, and sometimes they simply felt like it was expected of them. Many times, these people would genuinely love their spouses, even if it wasn't romantic or sexual. And a lot of times, even if they ended up having extramarital affairs, their first priority was to their family and life partner.
Keeping all of this in mind, I developed a few headcanons about the nature of Link, Zelda, Yona, and Sidon's relationships to each other.
Link & Zelda
Link's role as Zelda's protector is his absolute top priority; he forewent speaking or even showing emotion in order to fulfill his duties more efficiently. His vow to protect her is sacred, and I would safely say this means he loves her very much.
Zelda views Link as her appointed knight, her dear friend, and her confidante. Her love for him is what fuels her magical abilities.
A marriage between the both of them may happen, but a political match to secure an alliance would be more realistic in Zelda's future.
Sidon & Yona
Sidon is fiercely devoted to his kingdom and his people. He would do everything to keep them safe and secure.
Sidon finds Yona's kind personality and similar devotion to the Domain compatible with his. They share a goal, and that makes for a strong royal match.
Sidon is the only one in line for the throne after the death of his sister. He must take up the role as king and he must secure further heirs to the throne.
As far as arranged marriages go, getting paired up with a childhood friend is kinda like winning the lottery. They both love and trust each other already, so there will be little risk of awkwardness and/or incompatibility.
Yona is supportive of Sidon and Link's relationship, and is not a jealous person.
Sidon's bashfulness around Yona may be due to how she reminds him of his sister, and he feels uncertain about how he will fulfill his role as king by her side.
Link & Sidon
If they have a romantic relationship, it would not overshadow their duties towards their respective kingdoms.
They would visit each other when duty called, or when they were able to take time away from their jobs.
They may communicate day-to-day by letters.
All of this would be excellent fic fodder in my book!
Now onto why I kind of reject some of the more common reactions of Sidlink shippers.
Yona/Sidon/Link throuple
I'm sorry, but I just don't see any chance of attraction between Link and Yona.
Yona and Sidon calling each other pet names does not indicate romantic feelings AT ALL. I call my friends and my pets "my love" too, doesn't mean I'm attracted to them.
Sidon's feelings for Link seem to be miles stronger than his feelings for Yona.
I don't really NEED Link and Sidon to be officially married to each other. I've never seen their relationship that way, honestly, even before TOTK.
The trend of making a ship poly when a canon love interest is introduced is overused and frankly a boring solution. But that is my own subjective opinion.
"Yona was added to straightwash Sidon"
We know almost nothing about Sidon's past. Just because it feels like Yona came in "out of the blue" does not mean she was shoehorned--there is a lot of empty space for her to have been present in his backstory.
Yona and Sidon's marriage is perfectly understandable. He is a prince, she is a princess, of course it would be arranged and political.
Link was gone for a long time. The last time that happened he was gone for 100 years. The Zora were not obligated to wait for him to come back to marry their only heir.
Sidon must produce heirs; there is no one else who can do it, and as far as I know, Zora and Hylians are not reproductively compatible, and even if they were, I doubt two amab (again, as far as I know) characters could reproduce together.
Zora live a lot longer than Hylians. A marriage between them would end fairly quickly in Zora time once the Hylian dies of old age.
Y'all didn't actually think Sidlink would ever be made explicitly canon, right? Speaking as someone who has been a Sidlink shipper since BOTW: be realistic.
That all being said, I haven't actually seen much hate with my own eyes on Yona. Maybe it's because I'm not on Twitter, but on Tumblr I have seen absolutely none, save for the odd meme about Link's jealousy, or gripes about straightwashing as mentioned above.
Anyway, thank you for the ask! If you read this far, I hope it was at least interesting ;;^_^

can i present you with a random scenario. what would happen in an au hypothetical where only one of the champions survives the calamity. idk like what would happen for each champion im curious
ywah you can!!
ok this depends on if you mean like. taking links surviving role or surviving alongside link. in my au the former would be.. a bit more complicated? actually that could make for a really fucked up scenario of which i shant say as . probably spoilers? actually no . in wotb link actually dies early (a recent development meta-textually). so basically if hes already in there and a champion has to be put in their instead theres two routes. one he could never be put in there at all, already gone by the time they find the SoR. or two he Is in there but something just Fails Really Badly. it just.. wouldnt heal him. so its a last ditch effort to put a champion in there.
long text below Be Warned.
so while we’re on the topic of that scenario!!! lets start with it!! 1 mipha. she would send out an ok signal to the other champions, and she’d either check on her people first or try to get vah ruta to the nearest champion to help them. or hell she might check on zelda first. i think the plan without link would be to either say fuck it we ball and impa would take zelda to the castle, Or just go straight to kakariko instead as a safety thing. i think she’d actually check on zelda as she’s seen as the most important, then try to reach the champions. i think she’d have the same problems the champions descendants have getting into the divine beasts honestly, though vah naboris would be easy theres no water close enough. vah medoh is not only too high but has an actual shield. vah rudania walks around too much and causes way too much damage to death mountain. she could fire her shot at one of the divine beasts, but that would kill the champion inside it, wouldnt it? so she just resigns to help zelda and impa. she can take care of guardians well enough honestly. her cause of death would probably be either malice or trying to heal zelda or impa While Being Fought at. shes put in and boom 100 years later. i dont know how scales work but i think they wouldnt regrow in the SoR and she’d be left with scarred skin. either rhoam or a zora she knew would greet her on the great plateau. rhoam… wouldnt exactly be happy about. link not being there. mipha being able to defeat her blight is proof to him that shes capable, but also he really has no other options. who else is going to help zelda? mipha had defeated one of his creations.. so she could defeat him. she kind of has to, master sword or not- she’s the only one left. if a zora she knew was there instead i think itd reflect on her personally more? like her healing, her tendency to look after others instead of herself, how she’s dealing with this. the zora wouldnt force her to help zelda, maybe not even telling her. but yeag. still amnesiac, and things go mostly the same as canon besides some.. hiccups. going into zoras domain would have her literally not be able to leave, let alone go to zelda or any of the divine beasts. dorephan and muzu would gush over her because well. they havent seen her in 100 years!! and shes alive!!! she’s been martyred which would be. uncomfortable to her. because she doesnt know who that statue is, even if it looks like her. sure shes calm and nice, but the statues face.. it looks. serene almost. calm. lifeless, dead. vah rutas been protecting the place, and vah ruta would also say hi!! she’d get a memory of herself here which could include her little self or her pre cal self Hiding Things, like vulnerability. itd make her uncomfortable as well!! AND SIDON. sidon would have mixed feelings, but he would absolutely hang out with her in a more.. chill manner. just like. camping and eating. frog hunting. showing her how to ride a waterfall like she taught him. they get to know each other better like. well like siblings. she might do a pre cal and when she suggests leaving while doing a chill hangout she’d do That Smile. the hiding something smile basically, or ‘im the mature sibling’ smile. and sidon would be like ‘youre making that face’ >:( and shed go (sweating) ‘what’. but yeah. sidon would either go with her and travel with her or establish a mail system no matter the cost. They Will Talk damnit. going into other regions is hard when you cant really handle many temperatures that arent in the water. im ppretty sure zoras domain has chillfin trout in it so i think she’d do better in colder weather rather than hot, which sucks because two divine beasts are in hot weather. she’d probably still need at Least a ruby circlet though because hebra is probably too cold, or just sucks because of the snow. death mountain she’d have to put. so much flame resistance elixrs on. she’d also wear a sapphire circlet all the time there even if its not in the flaming zone. she doesnt like the hot springs </3. yunobo and her would-
-get along i think. she’d probably be slightly annoyed at how scared he is but other than that no complaints. he’d be really nice without being a pushover and i think she’d relate/admire that. she’d eat smotherwing butterflies. daruk would be really happy to see her. getting into gerudo town sucks so so soo badly. sand keeps getting under her scales, its Dry, its Hot (during the day), and theres not like. an elixr for her scales. the only real place sand Isnt on her is the lake in the kara kara bazaar. i think she’d put on flame resistant elixir there just so it protects her scales. or she gets some armour to help her with that. otherwise she’s let into gerudo town. vah naboris would be a nightmare for her. she’d have to have like. a hazmat suit for that one. and the yiga!! she wouldnt like them the moment she hears of them, which has to do with link pre cal but saying too much is spoilers. honestly though. i dont think theyd try to kill her, at least not Nearly as much. after all shes Just Some Zora. no sword, no divine intervention. after getting the thunder helm though theyd go after her probably. but yeah she does Not like them and will actually fight them the first chance she gets. this caused problems for the thunder helm stealth mission. urbosa and revali would be impressed to see her but also worried (revali) and defeated/giving up almost (urbosa). she and paya would get along really well and she’d clean with her Instantly. though paya would tell her that she doesnt have to + she should. be doing other things. she’d buy links house which. weird feelings about it so she doesnt really live in it but its just. There. like a memorial. she’d also be annoyed at purah teasing her about having to get parts but she’d mask it. she’d like indexing fish and birds in her compendium, and the sanke carp Fascinates her. she’d like kass’s music and really just sit and listen to him play. she’d also try to tell him what the shrine solution was once she figures it out. though i dont think he’d tell her the calamity legends. impa does however. she’d find lurelin and would So Badly want to go into the sea. however its too much salt. she’d probably fish there honestly, fishing rod and all. also though seafaring is dangerous for her so. no eventide unless a good boat rather than a dodgy raft. she.. tries to make it into korok forest. but she doesnt know how, and if link ever told her how he did it she cant remember. also its Super haunting for her i think she’d minorly see horrors in the mist so. yeah no forest for her. she’d defeat ganon though, and she’d probably live in zoras domain but take zelda with her. OH ALSO HER MEMORIES…. zeldas photos wouldnt help her too much. only 1 has her in it. so she’d get memories based on her surroundings, like how link gets snippets of the champions. seeing her trident would get a memory, the veiled falls shrine would have a memory, goponga village would have a memory, maybe the east post would have one?, and she’d have a zelda memory somewhere in zoras domain (maybe with those history tablets, or in an area with wildlife). and if link has a grave thatd also have a memory. she’d also get a memory of impa because hell yeah. im tempted to make link a spirit that follows her like the other champions honestly. but yeah post cal sidons been set as the ruler so. she can do what she wants. she’d mostly help zelda though.
in the scenario she lives alongside link, she’d tend to him on the great plateau and generally help out purah and robbie. she’d have to be at the domain most of the time though, and she’d be next in line for the crown rather than sidon. she’d grow older and do her best to help with the side effects of the calamity. she HATES yiga even more here than the last scenario. she also hates guardians, but she can take care of even the stalkers now. she’s there to greet link instead of rhoam, and helps him recuperate. she doesnt have a paraglider at first so for him to get down he’d need to climb down. or she couldve made a river system into the great plateau so if he holds his breath he can dive in and out. he still has to do the shrines zelda let mipha know that he has to. she might also travel with him honestly. she’d also spearhead the guardians on the great plateau when she finds out some are active. things would tense between them as time goes on but thats another story. basically old lady who may want to kill.
if revali survived!! uhh first scenario. he would fly all the way to the other champions first, and would check on zelda last. he’d also try to see how the village is doing before he flys to the champions. he cant get to naboris or ruta because he cant see anything, and rudania is at a Really painful angle, and with death mountain erupting.. its a pipe dream to make it there. he dies also to malice, or maybe to a guardian shot. same deal as mipha, either rhoam or a rito he knows greets him. rhoam has the same feelings (+exasperation because of all the champions, it was revali. and he’s a lot more of an old man to him with like changing the deal and teasing him. they would probably fight if not for the fact they dont hate each other). if it was a rito theyd focus more on flying than anything else. actually. he can get off the great plateau. i mean unless he forgot how to glide/one of his wings couldnt work he could. simply get down there. so for plot lets say he forgot how to fly and glide. once he learns how to again he goes to kakariko, and once he learns of rito village hes goes straight there and almost never leaves it. its His Hometown damnit!!! the nostalgia would get to him. though not knowing anyone would be… weird to him. but he’d still love the village. he and medoh would banter but theyd miss each other. he has to get to vah ruta by walking and hes SO mad about it. he would absolutely fight muzu if muzu hated him like he hated link. maybe muzu would doubt his skills and insist no outside help is needed. mipha would be sad probably. not to see him but just to see her family. but i think her and revali would be friends like pre cal and theyd have fun just with now looming dread. the flame resistant stuff would suck to put on, but he isnt going to drink it so he suffers instead. he would probably like yunobo. he’s able to reassure him better and yunobo is like you mentioned more reasonable in general so. yeah!! OH YEAH also he and sidon.. hm. i think sidon would tease him/punk him a lot. be more mean but thatd be why theyd get along in the end. frienemies. vah naboris. would be awful. sand in his feathers the same way mipha had sand in her scales. itd be Doubly hot for him, so he’d have to go at night but rito have terrible night vision so it sucks, and he cant even get into town. he spends a good minute arguing with the guard, not about wanting to be let in but to do Divine Beast things. eventually riju has been summoned and, while exasperated, she believes him. he still has to get the thunder helm, and hes more neutral on the yiga than mipha is. he sees them as a threat but like. he doesnt despise them. if they werent threats itd be fine. i think hes also slightly scared of them. he sneaks through, master kohgas defeated and the yiga are after him, and actually doing naboris hed also need a hazmat suit for. though its a bit better because ARCHERY YEEAAHH 🔥🔥🔥🔥💶💶💶🦅🦅🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹🏹. urbosa would feel the same like she did with mipha, except more exasperated and defeated because Its Revali. daruk would be happy to see him though still. link may or may not be a spirit here? itd be tense at first but i think itd mirror their friendship arc pre cal (of which i need to answer that ask i am sorry) except the roles would be swapped. youll see. anyways yeah. payas meh to him, doesnt like impa a lot but doesnt hate her, would debate purah probably Somehow. he wouldnt buy links house probably. memory locations: his bow and arrow, the flight range, the tabantha village ruins, tanagaar canyon/dinraal, mabe village perhaps, one of zelda same with mipha, links grave, and maybe one of impa. also possibly one at the secret hot springs. post cal he’d constantly help rito village and thats it. Maybe help zelda if she sends a letter but yeah. he’d have to find a hobby though
living along side link. he would also help purah and robbie, though less so. he’d be forced to greet link but in the meantime he’d protect his village and basically become the elder. seeing a young link whiles he old would be… disconcerting. he’d probably feel a mixture of guilt and anger. same deal as mipha though he has a paraglider for him. he wouldnt kill the guardians however and would just find a route for him to avoid them. he’d also be straightforward about what happened to link as opposed to mipha, so their relationship would be less strained as time goes on. he travels with him up to rito village and no more. i think he’d also visit the champion descendants to do his best to help them out.
daruk!! he’d go to the champions straight away. vah ruta is isolated in water which he cant get to (and also has a shield), vah medohs way too high up, and naboris wont stay still, and though hes mighty he can absolutely get crushed by naboris’s legs. god how would he die. yiga misfire maybe???? malice once again?? probably just an accumulation of malice. hed try to instantly leave the plateau (no fall damage like majoras mask goron rock ball form) and while rhoam (if he was there) would try to tease him he’d have to just tell him ‘hey. you Have to do this. Its important. please’ or would straight away tell him the truth. if a goron spirit was there . shrugs. theyd probably focus on strength and building enough to get ganon. goron city, hailed as hero though hes a bit uncomfortable about that and tries to both take it and be mature(?) about it if that makes sense. like hes more comfortable with it than mipha, but it still puts him off a little. vah rudania would hate to see him (rudania missed him so much its unbelievable). vah ruta would be. one Hell of a divine beast to do. he’d have to use a thunder sword instead of arrows, and he’d be A Test to sidons strength as a whole. OH ALSO yunobo would love him !!!!! him bludo and yunobo would probably hang out post cal. anyways. vah naboris he would simply slam into their legs instead of bomb arrows. still would need the thunder helm. master kohga would respect daruk enough however business is business and right now theyre enemies. daruk would not like the yiga like mipha . closer to the hate scale than revali but less than mipha. he’d be pretty pissed at them and wouldnt realize why for a while. the yiga have to get inventive when he becomes wanted which means new weapons methinks!! also he’s let into gerudo town. gorons r genderless so. hell yeah. and. ok so daruk cant get up to vah medoh theres. not many options. either he’s chucked from hebra peak at all of medohs batteries and is finally chucked on board, Or if youve seen klerics 10 ways link can make it up to that divine beast on his own he does that. also also urbosa would have more hope with daruk than mipha and revali. revali would secretly be happy to see the guy. link might be a spirit as usual. memories! his stone smasher, death mountains peak, military training camp, the place where link saved him which he mentions in his diary, the hot springs/springs near the base of death mountain, honestly probably meeting mipha (maybe trading fish) ((where no clue, though he has memories of the other champions like all of them of which they arent the samw memory locations in botw. like miphas statue doesnt trigger a memory for daruk and anyone else ok sorry)), uhh zelda, impa?, links grave, and maybe some place in akkala.
the second scenario he would constantly try to help the descendants rather than link as he figures purah and robbie got it covered, but he visits them while they do great plateau things and they chat!! maybe try to take care of guardians. he would be the most straightforward with link, both in helping him gain strength but in his memories. he’ll offer to travel but wont force it on him. other than that he’d stay on death mountain with rudania. most things wouldnt be a threat with daruk around honestly. just a support beam basically. kind of sad because i. dunno what kind of character arc he would have in most of this. </3
urbosa!!! she’d take a quick glance at her people but go to zeldas and the champions aid. its hard to tell which she’d go for first.. like on one hand she’s biased towards zelda but she just went through a blight and can hear the SOS signals of the others. maybe multitasking? getting naboris to zelda as fast as she can, picking her up/dropping her off (which could lead to some chatting on the way), and then to a divine beast, maybe realizing about a quarter left of the way that theyre already dead and theres no point now. mipha would have a similar revelation probably just.. later. but urbosa dies helping zelda and impa, either distracting something or getting ambushed. great plateau, you know the drill. if rhoam was there theyd have some, “lovely” chats (theyd be So petty against each other. she’d find out her smiting power by trying smite him. though they are friends and have fun and would drink with each other.) and once her whole deal is revealed they have a little heart to heart, and this becomes even more serious to her. she’d go straight to the castle or would reluctantly go to kakariko taking rhoams suggestion seriously. if a gerudo was there it’d probably be more fighting training/regaining strength, plus. warnings of the world beyond this plateau. anyways. impa and her would be besties (though impa would be.. too lax for her). and she’d enjoy paya a lot, maybe try to flex on her to tease her. zoras domain dorephan and her would get along i think AND OH WAIT. SHE HAS LIGHTNING POWERS. if she can get the thunder helm she could finish vah ruta in one strike (though it Does worry the zora a bit). she may throw shade at muzu for his hate of hylians and of the shekiah tech (especially the latter i think). sidon and her would be battle buddies i think, theyd constantly try to outdo each other but still respect each other to have Actual Teamwork. dynamic duo that will kill you. also she makes fun of him sometimes. anyways. mipha would be pretty happy to see her! death mountain. either drinks the elixir first and then realizes most people apply it on their skin so. oops. but she doesnt really care so she keeps drinking it like its champagne. chugging. despite being used to the desert she still doesnt like the heat. yunobo and her would also get along i think!! she would just immediately kill whatever hes afraid of and he looks in. slight fear. though the mines was a workout for her and shes making sure he knows he Owes Her for that one. anyways daruk would be ecstatic to see her theyre Instant Besties. new ghost pal perhaps as well. he’d yell like a sports fan everytime she beats the blight/gets a hit. its chaotic that time the energy is just net positive despite the circumstances. hebra. honestly. she might be ok with it? the desert is cold at night and she lives next to snowy mountains. nice change of pace. teba gets her up there pretty easily, maybe bow troubles? slices the targets with her sword as teba watches in surprise yet defeat. revali and her would, once again, be very petty. however revali would still worry with the blight but she’s fine. i think she’d hate the rotating angle of vah medoh. aaand naboris!!! no freeing to do she just gets to see a long time friend of hers (naboris). she’d love riju and riju may feel a bit of pressure, but over all she’s welcomed back with open arms (maybe some new locals not recognizing her which would be interesting). though she’d have to clear the yiga. now on the hate scale, she probably wants them annihilated (i am so sorry). like riju would have to pull her back saying ‘heyheyhey yeah they suck but dont??? kill them??? or their entire clan????’ which would only barely stop her. she wouldnt even try to sneak through she’d fight them and threaten kohga for the thunder helm. kohga lets her have it without fight and makes a retreat, though he probably lays low? if he hunts her afterwards is debatable because on one hand she Is a threat to them and ganon, but also she Can kill them before they teleport and retreat. so a bit of a choice. also hateno, purah and her wouldnt be-
too much of friends but theyd get along well enough. same with robbie. she wouldnt get links house to her its not her problem. or maybe she does but because she’d think itd be a nice place for zelda. kass and her would just be diplomats to each other. link spirit maybe shrugs . memories!! sword and shield, kara kara bazaar, southern oasis?, shield surfing champion shrine that she did, patricia maybe?, digg dogg suspension bridge, a spring memory with zelda, flora and fauna with zelda, links grave, impa, the champions yadda yadda. the memory numbers probably dont match up between all the champions sorry
second scenario!!! exclusively helps zelda and either stops her from letting ganon eat her or tries her best to fight ganon before retreating and he eats zelda. then she just. wanders. purah probably helping her cope or just. do things. she might even stay in kakariko for a bit, and she moves out of gerudo town. she’d say goodbye to everyone of course. but ywah. also maybe guard kakariko from yiga of which cado would fear her immensely. she’d either greet link or let rhoam do it and just meet link at kakariko and be Cryptic and Vague like he was but push him towards helping zelda, maybe even traveling with him. however she’d probably try to have him stay On Track constantly which would go. poorly. either that or she silently judges him but doesnt say anything. she’d only really hammer in to Go To Castle once all the divine beasts are free. they probably split off though, urbosa going to either chill or help in some way just elsewhere. like helping robbie light his ancient oven and getting guardian tools. also she has more wrinkles now shes super super old
if link isnt revived but the champions arent put in the SoR itd just be a mix of the two scenarios, slowly chipping at the divine beasts while helping out globally and getting old and having to cope with everything afterwards because they still have their memories
this . may not have been what you meant. i am sorry. however. thumbs up
ALSOALSO wanting the yiga dead is not a morally pure/correct course of action for them. it is not morally right thing to annihilate an entire group of people this isnt a bug its a feature. them wanting the yigas dead is not good. just in case.

My take on WildxFlora
Some time ago I wrote down an idea for a fic in which Flora would meet Tetra and I have realized I have tons of ideas for fics for Linked Universe and Legend of Zelda. I still doubt I will write them (at least all of them) but even so I want to put down some of the ideas. And who knows, maybe I will write one of them.
-For Flora’s relationship with Wild, I’m sticking mostly with what Jojo wanted for their relationship in LU. While it’s not established what Wild’s actual relationship with Mipha was in LU canon (And Wild himself might be unsure). I like to imagine that Wild did have some feelings for Mipha, but he is still not sure how strong they were.
-At the same time however, as Flora and Wild got closer during the time before the Calamity, he started to develop feelings for her as well. And poor Wild in the present has no idea of how to deal with all of that when he doesn’t even know if he loved one or the other or maybe both.
-As a result, he is very akward around Flora. He does have feelings for her that may or may not be from his time before the Calamity (He doesn’t know), but he’s afraid of breaking her heart by not being like the Stoic Knight she knew or by finding out he loved another after all.
-The result is that Wild sometimes acts a bit like his stoic façade in front of Flora which frustrates her to no end, but doesn’t openly say it. She’s determined to not make the same mistakes as before and always offers support and comfort to him even if he doesn’t always share what’s on his mind.
-Flora herself does have romantic feelings for her knight, but doesn’t want to burden Wild by adding more to his plate. So she keeps them quiet until Wild is comfortable around her. This helps Wild feel at ease with her, and it helps him open up down the line.
-It takes time (maybe a few years), but Wild eventually feels comfortable enough with Flora to confess his doubts and fears of letting her down. And Flora assures him that all she wants from him is for him to be like he is and nothing else.
-She was never in love with the Royal Guard he pretended to be anyways, but the feral, thrill-seeking, justice-driven glutton behind the knight.
-Wild for his part is very much falling and falling hard for the nerdy, secretly feral, compasionate scholar that is Flora.
-Come TOTK, Wild and Flora have both gotten so close they develop the dynamic established in that game. Flora wants to propose but worries about giving Wild a role he may not want by basically making him the King of the re-established Hyrule.
-Wild has considered that, and has worried that he may not be fit to be a King, but he is well liked by the people after stopping the Calamity and everything else he has done for them.
-He decides that having Flora there for him may not only make it worth it but also possible for him to take the responsibility. So he stops doubting himself for once and starts to make plans to propose. Until reports start to show up of a strange Gloom making people sick around Hyrule.

hm. thoughts on mipha? maybe how she thought about the calamity + how she’d think of the other champions (if. you havent answered this already!)
ohoho well :) if you insist
haha as far as the calamity goes she has got. the Dread and she has got it bad. even though some of the other champions' outlook on defeating calamity ganon is optimistic (even gaffen thinks everything is going to be fine), mipha is really...not super confident in the whole thing. she keeps this to herself most of the time, and really thinks she's overthinking it most of the time, but she still has a looming sense of dread about the whole thing. she talks with vah ruta about it occasionally. daruk has told her that the best thing to do about it is to make plans for the future, so she has done a bit of that! they've talked about meeting up on death mountain once everything is over. she tries to keep herself busy with projects. she really likes weaving and crafting in general god I just imagined her weaving a little turtle somewhere on the zora armor throws up. her favorite animal is turtles.
she's afraid of dying and afraid of living and afraid of giving up but can't see herself winning. you know. the general looming horror of existence. embracing your death because you're lonely and the walls you've built around yourself are too terrible to bring down. idk.
she is terrified by the prospect of having to potentially lose her life fighting the calamity, well. she's always lived for other people and doesn't really take her own health or safety in mind much. really funny because she'll absolutely get on other people's cases for doing the same thing she does. if gaffen and her were closer they'd constantly piss each other off bc of this and i think its hilarious
ultimately the only thing that really stays in her mind as a reason to look forward to things is living for people she thinks can be genuine. she loves her little brother because she thinks he can show his feelings where she just. can't. because that would mean not being a fuckin doormat and she thinks she's morally obligated to be one for her people's sake lmao. this is part of the reason shes so obsessed with gaffen because she thought he was a genuine person when he was little and now he's not so she's like. maybe we could learn how to be real people together. or maybe just with ourselves. its more of a subconscious thing she doesnt actively think this but shes such an i can fix him girl. stop
sorry for going on a tangent about mipha I dont even generally like quiet passive characters whose canon personality boils down to love interest I just decided she was a people pleaser and everyone around turned her into a saint when she wasnt and she was never truly known um throws myself into a pit of flames. heaven forbid i read too much into implications. i love women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now where was I. oh yeah the champions.
i've already partially explained her relationship with revali long story short she doesn't like him. example of a guy who needs to shut up Immediately. which isnt to say she wouldnt like to get along with him he seems like a person who has good qualities she just wishes he would shut up, so she gets passive aggressive around him
daruk!! ok they actually do really like each other because how could you not like daruk cmon. he's seen through her polite facade a few times and seen how scared she is so he's tried to help her out a bit and she appreciates it a lot :] (yea I know gaffen and mipha both like him its that magnetic extrovert guy charm and I really like introvert-extrovert dynamics)
daruk and urbosa are actually good friends lmao so daruk has passed some of what he knows onto her. so yea mipha also likes her. appreciates her advice quite a bit they train together sometimes!! shes really interested in gerudo jewelry as well she has a few pieces urbosa has given her as a gift and she's given urbosa some zora pieces
so yeah

Hi, I really like your AU! I was wondering if Barren has the same abilities as Warriors or similar to Hyrule’s powers? You don’t have to reply if you don’t want to of course.
Thank you, and great question! Tbh so far I’ve been running on the idea that he has abilities more like LU Warriors, though with Proxi by his side for some magic, and he also has his own unique (and strange) ability that has greatly helped him survive.
Warriors doesn’t have any inherent magical abilities, though he has developed a sense for magic over time (mostly being able to sense magical traps, though the information he gleans from this sense is limited).
He’s had Proxi as a companion for as long as he can remember. He considers her almost like a sister and is heavily reliant on her. Losing her would be like losing his arm.
Warriors may not have any healing magic, but Proxi does! She‘ll heal him and his companions when they’re injured, but her healing is admittedly among the weaker side for fairies (partially due to the limited contact with Great Fairies due to her traveling with Warriors). Also, most healing focuses on the worst wounds first and going up, but because enemies are on the hunt for Warriors’ blood, she’s learned to heal surface wounds first before dealing with the deeper wounds. It’s a very hard habit to break.
Warriors’ own unique ability is based on how LU Warriors encounters many people throughout the war of eras. Instead of that, though, AS Warriors has visions of people from across time and space.
These visions are almost like hallucinations. He can see them, hear them, and interact with them, but cannot touch them. They never give him their name, never call him by his own name, but they do provide companionship and teach him things that he never would’ve learned on his own.
Despite being extremely isolated since childhood, Warriors is actually very well socialized and charismatic, and a large part of that is due to the visions talking with him.
These visions have many rules, along with not sharing their name. They always appear looking the exact same as the first time they showed up. They seem to interact with the environment, but are unable to influence it or move objects. If they touch him, he cannot feel it, but they appear to make contact with him. They are not solid, and he cannot interact with them in return (and they will generally not respond to his attempts to touch them). They never appear around other people, though they will appear around Proxi (she can’t see them but by now she’s used to Warriors talking to people she can’t see).
One person he encountered as a vision is Mipha (though she’s never told him her name). She’s a bit of an older sister figure to him, but now that he’s an adult she doesn’t show up as often. She taught him how to tend to his own scrapes, how to cook meat that won’t make him sick, how to take care of himself when he’s ill, and other things that have helped him survive. She also tells him stories of her little brother, but never says his name or the name of the place she lives.
Another key vision he’s encountered is Impa (specifically Captain Sheik’s first mate from Time’s era). She trained him in how to use his sword. He knows how to fight like a knight, but she also taught him how to fight dirty. She was never particularly kind to him, but he’s looked up to her ever since she first appeared. (She also taught him all sorts of sailing knots, which he now uses to set traps for his enemies.)
The people he encounters are seemingly random, and not all of them are necessarily helpful. He’s met Ruto, who spent her entire time complaining about her fiancé who ran off for 7 years without a word. He’s also met little minish Midna, who didn’t give him anything useful but did tell him some embarrassing stories about her big dumb boyfriend (no, Warriors has not connected the dots and won’t until the real Midna is introduced to him by Twi. He can’t even see the real Midna, only Twi and Wind can).
He’s also met Gustlift, Wild’s loftwing. However, he was 100% convinced that this was an actual hallucination and not one of his visions. Or, at least, he was until he met Gustlift in person.
Tbh I think meeting Gustlift would be the moment when Wars actually talks about his visions (to the concern of everyone). On one hand, the fact that he hallucinates so vividly and regularly is concerning (to say the least). On the other hand, there’s no denying that these visions have taught him things that there’s no way Wars would’ve just learned on his own. Sky and Four (both trained knights) recognize his moves, and he does them perfectly enough that he had to have some formal training.
Is it some sort of magical ability he has, allowing him to interact with people from other eras? Is it some sort of really weird hallucination? Is it some sort of guardian spirit thing that’s trying to teach him survival skills through the guise of these visions? Who knows! Warriors sure doesn’t!
He also gets very defensive about it when any members of the chain show any sort of concern about it. Yes, he gets these visions often. No, he doesn’t think it warrants any sort of concern. No, he’s not going to do anything about it.

They lierally weren't in a relationship. It's implied by the ganon awakening memory and her own diary and other dislogue she never actually proposed by chickened out. Why would she gasp seeing Link staring at Zelda if he was actually engaged to mipha? Media literacy dead
I just want to say congratulations to the Gravity Falls fandom. After nearly twelve years on tumblr and a truly staggering amount of blocked fans and admittedly incendiary posts on my part not a single one of you verifiably went on anon to get around a block and into my ask box. Not even that time I opened up about my personal family issues and got attacked for it by dozens of people. Everyone who got blocked stayed blocked. In fact, no one from any of the circles I post in has ever done this, hence why I'm even dignifying this ask from a pathetic individual who ships like they're an adult Harry Potter fan with a response: to commemorate the occasion.
In this time of mass exodus due to racism and transphobia from staff as well as our user data being sold to an ai model which will immediately die the moment it tries to train itself with it, it's wonderful to know that there are still parts of the true tumblr experience that I too can take part in, and that despite tumblr's waning growth and popularity, despite my own waning time on this site, when I do eventually log off for the final time I'll be able to rest easy, knowing that I truly was a part of this community... And knowing that the part of the community I primarily interacted with during the bulk of my time here, despite a brief period filled with completely untagged old man incest porn in the main character tags, never pulled this shit, and never got to the point where every third post in a given ship tag was a complaint, about random bullshit that doesn't matter and isn't actually something anyone was mad at in the first place.
Truly it would cheapen the experience, to complain about a bunch of unrelated topics, characters, and ships you don't like, in the tags of a ship that you do actually like, to the point where someone going into that tag looking for shipping content of the ship they like has to deal with a bunch of annoying crap that isn't shipping content and is rude to other people for no fucking reason.
The humble vagueblog has existed as a vital part of your fandom's existence since the beginning, dear Gravity Falls fandom, and you have used and honed the practice well. Your tags have not been infested with pages of unrelated crap from a new set of people very week who think the rest of us enjoy them spamtagging their complaints, and our tags have not been infected with people who don't like what's being posted in that tag posting in the tag anyways about how much they dislike the content of the tag they're posting in. All the porn is now tagged properly and no one is freaking out about people who don't ship their ship, not even when that ship consists of two characters who are at the same developmental stage for their respective species, and are not related to each other. As the fandom of a children's show from 2010s era tumblr you have truly exceeded all expectations. Gaze upon this ask, on this shadow of a shark beneath our little rowboat and know that I thank you, and that if and when I do eventually leave this site I will leave satisfied. Know that if there ever comes a time where I begin posting zelink content full time, I will be in hell trying to block annoying assholes all over again, because every third post in the zelink tag is made by someone like this who clearly has nothing better to do with their time than complain about a naked fish lady who is dead and does not interfere with the ships they actually like because she's not real and you don't have to include her in your fic or engage with the people who like her if you don't want to.
Because obviously the zelink ship tag is the only place one can complain about a fictional teenage dolphin with boobs being in a relationship with a fictional teenage human, and obviously a fictional dolphin with boobs is the biggest problem this fandom has so someone has to say something, it'd be rude not to tag this Voltron fandom level bullshit as zelink.

I'd love to hear more about Urbosa in CMFTW! What are her hobbies? What does she value in this AU? What's the relation like with her family? Also, what's the place and country called where she travelled to to fetch Riju? (I admittedly dislike the canon name because it cheapens the Gerudo as characters and their culture imo.)
CMFTW Urbosa beloved!! I’m glad you asked :)
We’ve gotten to see quite a few of her hobbies in-fic so far—dancing’s always been a big one, even before she started professoring about it at UH, and I imagine her preferred style to be contemporary, though I’m sure there are plenty of specific subgenres within that style that I know very little about. She no longer plays D&D (besides the one notable exception) but her time with the game before her life went to shit did spark an interest in folklore and mythology, hence her coming up with the idea for that combined RELS course. She is also very much into engaging in silly shenanigans with her best friend/platonic partner Daruk, including but not limited to recipe experimentation, bowling as incorrectly as possible, and what I imagine are some very wild board game nights.
As for her values—I think that family seems to be a pretty big one. Caring about people in general. Ensuring that all her students are treated justly and fairly. Doing what she can to ease the suffering of others, because she wouldn’t wish certain life experiences of her own unto anyone.
Her relationship with her family is kind of twofold, I think. There’s her blood family, who we do not hear about besides her sister (who Hope and I never actually named, oops) and Riju, and nobody else is ever mentioned. I imagine that Urbosa and her sister lost their mother relatively young, and had a pretty bad time of it with only each other to lean on until they were adults, at which point Urbosa ended up moving to Akkala and her sister landed halfway across the globe. The few other relatives they have are not people either of them were particularly close with, which is why it was so important to both of them that Urbosa specifically be the one to take care of Riju after everything.
But there’s also her chosen family now! Daruk, as we all know, is the absolute best, and the two of them got super close almost immediately when they both started working at Akkala Elementary. Urbosa met Saphira the year of Link and Zelda and Mipha’s graduation to middle school, at the cute little ceremony Zelda’s dad couldn’t be bothered to show up to, and that relationship started growing pretty much the second Saphira finally got that divorce. They got married pretty shortly after that first D&D game got started, and Urbosa and Daruk’s QPR got a bit more official not long after that, much to Saphira’s delight, though the three of them all agreed not to be particularly open about it.
As for your second question—we… never actually decided. Our worldbuilding outside of Hyrule itself is VERY loose. Hyrule is pretty much a microstate, wide enough that it would take about two days to roadtrip directly across but with a very spread out, extremely low population. While it’s not quite as isolated here as it is in-game, it’s still pretty unusual for people to travel in/out of. Urbosa and her sister are originally from what would be the Gerudo region on the BotW map, but Urbosa moved to Akkala, and her sister fully left Hyrule altogether—all you really need to know (which is to say, all we ever bothered to establish) about where she ended up is that she went FAR. Like, think moving from Canada to Australia kind of far. Solid 20 hours of flights, completely opposite timezone—not exactly conducive to ease of visiting or communication. Plus, for plot convenience reasons, really, really bad phone service.
Thanks for asking!! If @ofstormsandfire has anything to add, go right ahead :)

match up for dino
Tumblr media
for xenoblade chronicles i'd match you up with… pyra and mythra!
Tumblr media
pyra is the one that falls for you first, but mythra falls for you harder!
pyra had a small crush on you since you two first met, her feelings slowly growing stronger over time
mythra however didn't like you at first, yet when you continued to be kind to her, despite how mean she was, she suddenly caught herself falling for you!
the great thing about dating the two of them is that you can do different things with a different girl!
pyra is the calm one that loves dates at the park or having a picnic in an open field, while you two talk and maybe she'll even sing something just for you
meanwhile with mythra, you'll likely play some video games with her or she'll drag you out to a place you've never been to before, to make sure you make some new memories!
both of the girls are deadly protective of you and won't let anyone say a single bad thing about you!
for rwby i'd match you up with… pyrrha nikos!
Tumblr media
yes, another red head named pyr(rh)a! i have now determined that this is your type. i make the rules, sorry :P
pyrrha is a really affectionate and at times even clingy girlfriend!
honestly, she likes herself a shy guy and she finds it adorable how humble and kind you are!
pyrrha is very eager to learn more about your hobbies and interests, always urging you to open up towards her, as she wants to know everything there is about you
once she learns that you draw, she'll beg you to show you some of your drawings and she'll love them!
drawing isn't something she's good at, so she thinks it's great that you can do it!
what she is good at though is singing!
as most of your dates happen within or near beacon, you two often find yourself a lonesome spot and pyrrha will softly sing for you, while you lean against her and draw. she'll never get tired of watching you work!
for doki doki literature club i'd match you up with… sayori!
Tumblr media
listen, sayori might not be what you described as your type, but i still think the two of you would make a really sweet couple!
you'd be this soft couple that never argues and that everyone is a bit envious about, because your relationship is just so wholesome
you bring out the best in each other, able to lift each other up when nobody else can do it
dates often take place somewhere outside, since sayori often spends too much time alone in her room and going out with you is the only time when she can bring herself to spend time outside
it's kind of a mystery how the two of you even began dating though, as you are both introverted and nobody quite knows who made the first move…
for nier automata i'd match you up with… A2!
Tumblr media
A2 is deeply protective person, since she lost so many people dear to her already
she tends to be a overprotective and at times even a bit possessive, but its always clear that it's because she cares about you a lot and lost too much already
A2 is also incredibly strong and i think she'd be very happy if you let her take care of you! carrying you, defending you in battle and so on
what A2 loves the most about you is how creative you are, simply because she's only good at fighting and destroying, while you create something new
A2 has a cold exterior, but she's an absolute sweetheart with you!
for the legend of zelda i'd match you up with… mipha!
Tumblr media
mipha is a very kind and caring girlfriend, who's just super supportive of you and always there to lift you up when you're not feeling well
she loves to listen to you talk and she's a great listener, always knowing when to keep quiet and when to ask questions
dating her might be a bit intimidating, given that she's the zora princess, but mipha always assures you that you're good enough for her and that her family loves you!
it's a bit hard to find alone time with mipha, given her status, so most dates happen near zora domain, exploring the nearby area
mipha admires you drawing skills, given that she isn't any good at that and always nudges you towards making some drawings for her!
for my hero academia i'd match you up with… itsuka kendo!
Tumblr media
kendo can be a bit strict with you, but she means well and just wants you to be the best version of yourself that you can be!
she'll train and study with you, which will be what most of your dates are, but sometimes you two also go on normal dates, like the movies or dinner!
kendo always drags you along to class activities or other events, wanting you to get to know more people and experience new things
she respects your boundaries, but still pushes you out of your comfort zone, helping you realize that most things aren't as scary or hard as you might think

Hiiiii, Star ♥️💖💓💗💘 Could I get 4, 9, 12, 13, 19 and 21 for the hater ask meme, please? <3 I hope you're thriving <33
hiiiiii <333 I am trying to, hope you are!
4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?
it honestly doesn't tend to take much, I block with impunity if someone's being annoying/a jerk/both. this has happened with multiple z*link trolls, sigh. (and some of the irritating Mipha fans too, because not all of them appreciate her like I do. there are definitely some weird misogynist ones out there, and you should absolutely picture me yelling "YOU'RE NOT AFFILIATED WITH ME!" at them like Mr. Incredible.)
9. worst part of canon
Mipha being dead in the main timeline. TotK's entire fucking plot. Mipha not getting to fight in the cutscenes in AOC. just. everything to do with the Gerudo and Nintendo's racist handling of them. Valkyrie Profile 2's entire fucking plot. Star Ocean 3's entire fucking plot. WHAT THE HELL WAS ALL OF THAT??? whatever is going on with Chrono Cross' plot. shows getting prematurely cancelled.
12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
MIPHA IS SO UNDERRATED, SHE HAS TONS OF POTENTIAL THAT NINTENDO SET UP BUT DIDN'T FULFILL AND HAS MORE TO HER STORY THAN JUST HER ROMANCE WITH LINK AND PEOPLE NEED TO BE LESS DISMISSIVE OF HER JUST BECAUSE OF HER FEELINGS FOR HIM!!!
honestly there are so many under-loved female characters I love that should get more love ;~;
13. worst blorboficiation
again, gonna cheat and say any time an underwritten male character is prioritized over all others, and female characters are dismissed/ignored
19. you're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like...
nothing I can think of
21. part of canon you think is overhyped
whoo. bat, meet hornet's nest.
Zelda turning into a dragon. I did not shed a single tear, yo. only thing my eyes were doing was ROLLING.
(BOTW Zelda herself. I don't hate her, and I see potential in both her flaws and good points that canon didn't deliver on, but sorry fans, she is not the deepest most nuanced best written female character ever and being meh on her doesn't mean I hate female characters with personality. she's not even the best female character in the series, and the writing I've seen for ladies in other franchises blows her away. please play some games with better writing and get some higher standards. this is addressed not to people who merely like her, ftr, but the people who look at the crumbs Nintendo has given us and treat it like the feast of all feasts, top tier video game character development.)
fucking. Sephiroth. he's not a terrible villain, but I always liked Kefka and Kuja more for Final Fantasy villains.
(actually FF7 in general just doesn't do it for me the way other entries in the series do. like, it's good! but I don't ADORE it the way I do IX, VI, VIII, and V.)
*whispers* Ancient Cistern, a little? like, it was cool, but it's no Arbiter's Grounds or Snowpeak Ruins, for me. doesn't help that I put down the game in a fit of rage when the wack controls made me have a Very Bad Time with the boss and I haven't gone back to try and beat it.
so there's this book that got hyped up as being really good and I see people rave about it still and I tried it. and. I hated it??? I don't get it??? it was called The Eyre Affair and I do not see why people loved it. bleh.

Hmm What About...if i asked you for some urbosa hcs I have been thinking about her lately
what if…..?!
HM!! this is actually kinda tough! first i think she’d generally be a fan of meat and hearty truffles especially. riffing off of what you mentioned about her being a fan of the royal family, i think she’d have a History with worshipping hylia? like this depends on how you think the queen wouldve felt about hylia + being the supposed reincarnation of hylia but i think either urbosa prayed to her constantly before the queens death (general prayer sayings but also thanking her for the existence of the queen) and after the queens death + seeing how zelda was struggling her prayers urbosas own prayers got more and more angry and frustrated. eventually she only really prayed when zelda was praying herself, but otherwise tried to help zelda and her people as she believed hylia wouldnt. basically “the only way to do something is to do it yourself”. the alternative to that is urbosa not really knowing much about hylia, not praying to her but still celebrating holidays associated with her. she and the queen would share holidays and religious figures with each other, so urbosa more knew of her in passing and a few religious gestures. so when the queen dies she doesnt even Think about hylia or cursing her. when zelda struggles she would either gain a growing negative view of the gestures/prayers/holidays the queen showed her, not really blaming hylia but blaming the traditions themselves and or rhoam. also i think praying is different across races, and instead of silently sitting there i think the gerudo would actively be doing something. its like that one post of how earlier cultures danced and belted to pray (though i should research prayer methods for that. i like to think the gerudo would train/fight during prayers the opponent either being another person if its a shared prayer or it being the god themself, as a statue or a training dummy). so i think urbosa would struggle in praying to hylia the way hylians do. also SOEAKING OF RELIGIONS! i thimk she’d have a talisman of sorts from one of the eight heroines (creating a champion mentions that the seven heroines are worshipped and seen as divine protectors. and i am ignoring totks answer to who the eighth heroine because it is severely stupid to me). though i do feel like the heroines would be more minor compared to naboris theyre still well prayed to.
now off of religions. if the milk bar existed in botw i think she’d be a fan of the possibly alcoholic milk there. loves looking at seas in general, and both hates and loves water areas (i like to think she accidentally struck lightning on a thing of water and a terrifyingly big shock bubble came from that. it probably shocked Her if she wasnt wearing the thunder helm and was rather holding it. so on one hand shes more powerful, but she has to wear the thunder helm in order to not be fried. and if she had to do something like that but mipha was wearing it then well.) i think she’d be a fan of ceroba undertale yellow. also i think she’d try to be more friendly with mipha, maybe even sparring with her (though that takes a while). would absolutely make puns with a straight face and say nothing about it. would say “quiet down small man” from toon town to impa i think. also i think she’d be a huge butch fan. possibly does origami? likely has strong opinions on the dead in general. probably doesnt like zoras domain for the thought of luminous stones having trapped souls in them and zoras domain is fucking Built out of it. aaand..! ive got nothing else!! i should probably think more about her

"Crossbreeding" in Hyrule
Alright, so, this has been bothering me for a while. It's not a new topic, I know, but I figured I might as well put my spin on it. A lot of this is based on vibes alone, but I put as much justification in as I could. Hope this makes sense!
Here's a basic chart for the overview:
Tumblr media
Ok, now for specifics (under the cut of course). Apologies in advance if this is offensive to any people who actually study biology as my knowledge is... unreliable (even though I'm very interested in it).
The Easy
Tumblr media
Hylian/Sheikah
Hylians and Sheikah are pretty much the definition of "cut from the same cloth."
According to Skyward Sword, the Sheikah are "Hylia's chosen guardians;" they were created alongside Hylians as the sort of "favorite races" of the gods, unlike other species that popped up around the time (Goron, Parella, etc). With the inclusion of the other games, it's clear that they're not minor gods (like dragons or Great Fairies) either, since they appear as and are referred to as a race of people, whereas minor gods are more like magical individuals than a species.
Besides that, they look and behave almost exactly like Hylians, with the only biological difference being that Sheikah can live for an incredibly long time. In SS it might be a little bit encouraged by divine intervention, but with BotW we know for sure it's at least over a century, probably around 200-250 years average. Even that gets more nuanced with, for example, Niko showing up in both The Wind Waker and Spirit Tracks (something of a century later) suggesting that Hylians might be able to live up to around 120 years.
Basically, I don't think it's too bold to assume Hylians and Sheikah are completely compatible and probably biologically function more or less exactly the same way.
Gerudo I
Gerudo appeared significantly later in the timeline, with their first chronological appearance being Ocarina of Time. (I think it's been said that they sailed to Hyrule...?)
In any case, with only one male born every century, they rely on reproducing with other races. This is mentioned in OoT ("They say that Gerudo sometimes come to Hyrule Castle Town to look for boyfriends," Gossip Stone) and made canon in BotW, with the marriage of Rhondson and Hudson of Tarrey Town.
Additionally, their children are always 100% Gerudo (source).
This means they're not hybrid species. They just.. for lack of better way to explain, need to be fertilized to have their children. Generally that comes from Hylians, and thus probably Sheikah as well- which would make sense, seeing as all three of them are almost exactly the same in appearance- but maybe not limited to them. I'll get back to this later.
Basically, all of the the human-like species can have kids with each other.
Cool! But that's almost definitely not what anyone was wondering about.

The Less Easy
Zora
Here we are, the most "vibes-based" speculations I have for this post.
Zora... fish people, right? Wrong. What the hell are these things.
Scales, eggs, mammary glands (are they just fatty deposits???), both fish and sea mammal type tails and builds, even in the same family (Sidon is a shark but Mipha's a dolphin????)... not to mention that apparently, at one point, on the official zelda.com, it was said that they're not mammals.
Biological nightmares, that's what they are.
After a lot of consideration, they (specifically the Sea Zora, like in BotW, OoT and TP) are scaled, egg-laying mammals (both are technically possible IRL although not at once), due to most Sea Zora having mammal type head-tails. The difference in anatomy, patterns and resemblance to other species is just... something that happens. Maybe it's due to magic. Really, it's just a character design, video game thing. This isn't the 100% science based dragon game after all and I can't exactly hold them to evolutionary logic.
As you can probably tell, I'm leaning heavily on the "not mammals" thing being taken out of their description. After all, it was apparently over 10 years ago and things (namely: BotW coming out) have been changed. The devs change things after the fact a lot, so I don't think it's out of the question.
(I totally agree with this post by the way- I've just adjusted some things so that they're now specifically mammals and my speculations make a little more sense, even though it doesn't exactly make sense for their evolution. Call it a product of divine intervention... again).
Okay. Now that we've gotten that out of the way... Zora (and, consequentially, Rito) technically being mammals (dear Hylia that physically hurt to type) justifies a little bit more crossbreeding.
Due to vibes again, I think Hylians and Zora are male -> female compatible. Something how female Zora just won't give up on wanting to marry certain Hylians...
I think Zora have most if not all the Zora-specific traits in the egg itself, and Hylian sperm just happens to be compatible to kick off the fertilization.
However, male Zora -> female Hylian doesn't strike me as particularly possible, since I think the Zora part might contain Zora-specific features that just won't translate well.
For example (due to vibes of course), I like to think the head-tail is in the male part, making Hylian/Zora hybrid children tailless and Zora/Hylian children a little bit impossible.
insp 1 insp 2
Rito
Unlike the rest of the Hyrulean races, the Rito have an evolution we can track! They first show up- in the middle of their evolution, no less- in The Wind Waker.
They are a race of people that evolved- with the help of severe divine intervention, only a century in by WW's time- from the Zora.
Their evolution looks something like this, by the time of BotW:
Tumblr media
During that middle period, I believe they'd be extra compatible with Hylians, fertile offspring and all. Their god-based evolution seems to have done a complete 180, so for the middle of that process where they have Hylian-like builds I think this makes sense. I mean... just look at them. That's a Hylian with a beak.
Now for the bird part. Notably, in Twilight Princess, a mural in Castle Town shows the Rito with an appearance much more similar to BotW:
Tumblr media
And in the OoT manga, there's a short depicting a Rito-like race, the Watarara, who migrate through Hyrule sometimes but don't settle there. They have a much more bird-like appearance than WW's Rito.
I believe the "Rito" in TP are actually the Watarara from a different country, who are developing ties to Hyrule at the time, but don't yet majorly live there. Then, since they're probably around even in WW's timeline, once the Rito of that Hyrule evolve to the point of being slightly more bird-like they become compatible and breed resulting in the Watarara-like Rito of BotW and fully breaking off mutual compatibility they had with the Zora.
HOWEVER-!
While I don't believe a Rito can fertilize the offspring of a Zora, (here's another vibes bit), I do think somehow that there's a male -> female compatibility between the Zora and the Rito.
(I think it's much the same as Hylian/Zora, but the head-tail gene is simply discarded and the rest functions).
Gerudo II
Unisexual reproduction is when a species doesn't need its own males to reproduce, in which the species has haploid eggs (only one set of chromosomes), so the male's genome is discarded, but the sperm is still necessary to develop the embryo (source).
This would explain how every Gerudo child is 100% Gerudo, even with different species as parents.
Now, due to fantasy and magic, I'm going to say the Zora, Rito, Hylian and Sheikah races all have compatible sperm.
This is slightly backed up by in-game Gerudo travelers, like Laroba, stating that a man from any race could be suitable to be her partner. Even if she's talking about romance rather than sex, maybe being able to mate with every other race backs it up a little. She does include Gorons too, though, so that might be unreliable. I'm just throwing it in here.
One more thing- there is a type of unisexuality in which parts of the male genome "leak" into those of the children. I assume this is more or less why Gerudo have pointed ears in BotW and not OoT.
inspiration

The Easiest
Gorons are (most likely) asexual reproducers.
There are no "female" Gorons in the series. Even the ones in Gerudo Town seem to identify as male ("I thought men weren't allowed in this town... Why did they let me in?" Lyndae; "I made it all the way to Gerudo Town! But I'm not sure why they let me in..." Strade).
And, conclusively in my opinion, OoT presents a young Goron- Link, son of Darunia. Being that Darunia and Link (the Hylian) are friends, and Link (the Goron) is even named after the Hylian Link, you'd think we'd get an introduction to or even a mention of some kind of mother, or find a "wife"/"girlfriend" of Darunia somewhere, but there's nothing of the sort (equally, the same can be said about Yunobo, who's directly descended from Daruk- the former having no mention of a mate and the latter having no mention of a mother).
I believe that Gorons are genderless, and the use of "he/him" and the male identity has to do with working with Hylians (source).
I tend to imagine that Goron offspring somehow originate from the rocks on the Gorons' backs, therefore being directly related to them (it makes more sense for Yunobo to have Daruk's special power that way).
-
Bonus: The Deku Group
"The Deku group" is something completely different I could talk about, but basically boils down to Deku trees, Deku scrubs, Skull Kids and the Koroks/Kokiri; they're (mostly) all plant-based spirits of the Lost Woods.
In short, Deku trees are something of a minor god/species cross and kind of radiate magic, Deku scrubs are an offshoot of this magic and can and do breed as a very specific and unique case of being a race of spirits, Skull Kids are just kids who got lost and died in the Lost Woods and turned into spirits, and Korok/Kokiri are a mix of fairy and Deku, being both "the children of the forest/Deku tree" and referred to as "fairies" multiple times, so with that combination it's honestly likely that they're just made out of magic à la UNDERTALE.
-
And that's a wrap! For now!
As a bonus for sticking with me this far, here's another chart.
Tumblr media
Not only is he probably just... magically fertile, but I think if Gerudo are compatible with every major race of Hyrule (save for the Gorons of course), Ganondorf himself would be able to... show that compatibility a lot more easily. So, technically, if we're rolling with this assumption, the Gerudo and the rest are mutually compatible.

Of Ghosts and Graves
Little backstory here. I was chatting on the LU discord about how the other Links usually have rupees hidden in their graves in-game, and normally they 'grave rob' in their games. Since I've got a story in the works called A Hero's Spirit wherein Wild is a ghost (but the Chain has no idea he's actually dead) I wanted to explore how he'd react to learning about this. :) So here! Have Spirit!Wild (but shhh... it's a secret to everybody) learning this little tidbit about the Chain. Also, the ghosts of the Champions and Zelda are with Wild, and he can see and hear them clearly. Wind can also see spirits, but only when he wants to.
Wild followed the heroes into the graveyard. There was a calming air about the place even as several crows eyed the trespassers with a wary eye. He smiled softly, nodding to a few spirits that were milling about, enjoying the afternoon sun. What puzzled him was the way a few of them glared at Twilight. Had he done something offensive here at some point?
"Are we going to grab some extra cash?" Legend raised an eyebrow as he helped Hyrule stand. Warriors was still supporting Wind as well, as the Sailor had managed to nearly break his ankle in their last fight.
"Not this time, but you can grab some if you want, I suppose." Twi hummed.
"Extra cash?" Wild frowned. He'd slowly gotten used to the fact that rupees just appeared out of pots and grass in the others' Hyrules, but he didn't see anything of the sort here. The grass was already trimmed rather neatly, though there wasn't much to show. In fact, the graveyard looked somewhat desolate despite the serene atmosphere.
"Well, this place has seen better days." Revali huffed, gently wiping some dirt from one of the headstones.
"Pardon me." An older hylian ghost approached the spirits. "Are you with that group?"
"We are." Zelda nodded, raising an eyebrow. "Is there something wrong?"
"That one." He gestured towards Twilight. "He's been known to dig up rupees from our graves."
Wild stiffened at that, and he noticed his spirit friends do the same. Suddenly, the group's talk of extra cash made sense in the worst way. "Twi?" He spoke slowly, doing his best to reign in his anger. He didn't want his Spirit Flames to come bursting out, after all. He waited until he had the rancher's attention. "You don't mean to tell me… that you rob the dead, right?" The edge in his voice had the group of heroes shifting with uncertainty.
"I mean, sometimes money gets tight." Twilight shrugged. "In Ordon, it's actually a tradition. People are buried with rupees so that when times get tough the future generations can have something to live off of."
Wild stared in a mixture of disbelief and disappointment. Everyone looked guilty. "Have… have you all done this?" He breathed when none of them met his gaze. "I can't believe you." His anger was starting to grow, and he noticed Mipha in particular looked just as furious. "If that's the tradition in your village, then fine. The dead have given you their permission before their time. But I highly doubt you've gotten permission from these people to rob their graves."
"Wild, calm down." Warriors reasoned. "It's just some headstones, it's not like they're using them at the moment anyways."
"That's not the point!" Wild snapped angrily. "There are some lines you shouldn't cross, and desecrating the dead is one of them!!"
"Says the guy who sets the whole damn forest on fire." Legend shot him a deadpanned look, but it quickly vanished when the Champion's anger landed upon him.
"A forest fire is very different than this! Have you ever once thought about how the spirits of these people would feel?! Maybe there's a damned reason why the Poes you loathe so much attack you on site! I would, too if you robbed my fucking grave." He took several deep breaths. It'd been a long time since he was this angry, but the entire situation had hit a nerve. Whether the tears running down his face were hurt, frustration or anger, he really didn't know, but Urbosa's warm hand on his shoulder was the only thing that was keeping him somewhat calm at the moment. "I can't tell you all how disappointed I am in you. And I hope that at least one of you has stayed away from something like this."
"Wild…" Sky quietly spoke up, but he didn't seem to know what to say. At the very least, Wind seemed to understand what Wild was getting at. Likely because the boy could see the dead, too.
"We're sorry." Time apologized at last. "I had no idea you felt so strongly about something like this, but we aren't here to rob any graves. We can obtain money other ways."
"Come on." Twilight's head was low and his voice was soft. It was obvious that he was beating himself up a bit after Wild's lashing, but the Champion really couldn't find it in himself to sympathize. He'd said nothing he hadn't meant, after all.
"Thanks, kid. I know you can't hear us, but thank you." The older spirit smiled softly at Wild. He let his gaze flicker towards the man for a brief moment, watching as the ghost's eyes widened in surprise before movement drew his attention yet again towards the heroes.
Wild clenched his jaw when Twilight approached a grave, but since the local spirits didn't seem put off by it, he kept his mouth shut. He carefully shoved the headstone back to show an old stone staircase. "It's down here." He sounded subdued as he spoke, and Wild ignored the small twinge of almost-guilt that wanted him to reach out and tell him it was okay. Because it wasn't okay. As a member of the dead, Wild had every right to be angry. After all, he was the only real voice of the spirits.
He paused when he felt a swirling of familiar magic. An almost bell-like ringing on the edge of his hearing was his only hint to what lay up ahead. As the group wandered down the dank damp underground path, Wild felt something in him relax. Tension left his body as they emerged into a larger chamber where a Fairy Fountain lit up the area. Hyrule in particular seemed to be quite relieved.
"Look." Twilight stated softly the moment he could get Wild alone. "I…" He paused, trying to find the words. "I'm sorry for angering you. You're right. I shouldn't've dug up the graves beyond Ordon. It may be a tradition there, but I suppose it isn't one here. I just never stopped to think about it, is all. But having traveled to other Hyrules, I know that cultures can differ even from just one area to the next."
Wild let out a deep breath. "I won't say it's okay, because it isn't. I'm not the one you should apologize to." He sent Twilight a significant look. "But you can start by returning what you stole. It's one thing if a spirit gives you something. But to go in and take it without permission is… It's actually a capital offense among my Zora, did you know?"
"Is it really?"
"The Zora honor the dead even above the goddesses." Wild explained, idly noting that the rest of the heroes were listening to the conversation as well. "And many of my good friends are counted among the fallen as well." He admitted softly. He'd avoided talking about his journey as much as he could because he didn't want to let anything slip. He'd explained only the bare basics about The Great Calamity, his amnesia, and that his journey took several years. He'd waved off his death and revival as recovering from an injury for a century under some Sheikah tech, and nobody'd bothered him with questions after he blatantly shut down Wind.
His admittance about the 'loss' of several good friends seemed to soothe any raw edges from the fight earlier. A light of understanding flashed in many of the heroes' eyes. "I just…" Wild continued softly. "I've picked up a lot of traits from many races across my land. And almost all the cultures, the dead are just something you don't mess with. Gravestones, markers, even the trees around the Sheikah settlements. The only free game are the weapons, and that's only because we needed them to survive, but we don't go digging up graves for them."
"I suppose there's a lot of differences between us." Hyrule hummed. "Nobody really cares about graves in my Hyrule. Partially because so many people are gone and those left behind are desperate."
"I always ask permission." Wind nodded firmly. "Most of the time, they say I can have whatever I need."
"Wait, you can talk to ghosts?" Warriors stared at Wind for a moment.
"It's from one of my journeys." The boy waved him off with a proud smile, as if he'd been waiting to say the phrase. Wild internally snorted in amusement. Knowing Wind, he was just excited to be able to parrot something he'd heard Time say once or twice. That kid really looked up to the Old Man.
"Look." Wild ran a hand through his hair. "What's done is done. All I ask is that you please don't do it again. And if you must, then don't let me know. Because if I find out you've done something like that while I'm traveling with you, I'll boycott the cooking pot for a week." His threat made several heroes shudder. "That aside, I'm going to go ahead and start on lunch."
If their sandwiches were a tad spicier than the group preferred, then nobody dared complain.
