I know there's been a lot of the lack of Vaggie's self-worth, which I wish was explored into more. I just think the Vaggie(3rd) episode just wasn't needed at all if it didn't even have an impact. where Neil moved his family to the middle of nowhere Indiana because he knows 80s bumfuck nowhere doesn’t have a lot of support for disabled ppl and hates his son (as we all know)

At first billy tries to hide it, he had gotten used to learning how to read lips and make inferences on what people were saying, if he happened to miss something? He’d just brush it off, saying he wasn’t paying attention.

Billy might have a slight deaf voice, Neil probably came along with his “no son of mine” spiel so Billy had to learn how to speak as Neil thought was “normal”.

Steve begins to notice something different about Billy; slowed reaction time, really focusing on people’s faces, etc, and brings it up to Joyce.

Joyce, concerned, waits until the next time Billy is in her store to ask if everything is okay. Billy panics, he thought he was doing perfect, if he doesn’t his dads gonna kill him, so he very quickly excuses himself out of the store.

Maybe some further concerned Steve and Joyce? Teaming up to help out Billy? 🥹

starting off first: i think he's bi! i think he figured out he was bi when he was pretty young (probably somewhere in his teenage years, probably like 15 max) and when he was in his 20s he was very involved in the queer community (his 20s being. in the 80s. sorry.) and was like a big activist. that is until the curse.

(he doesn't talk like that but i'm being silly rn)

BUTBUTBUT when piper decides she wants to reconnect with her culture (which she's been mostly separate from because of tristan's own avoidance of it due to memories of his childhood and his father and blahblahblah) it sort of motivates him to do it too. like if piper's gonna do it after tristan entirely cut her from their culture then like. he can too. and it was a big part of his life when he was younger so like. he knows shit. i'm not good at this btw sorry i just have ideas UGSFHADGSF but anyways when piper starts reconnecting he decides to do it too and his first step with like Getting Comfortable again is growing his hair out. it's a smaller step yk he just doesn't cut his hair it's nothing active. (ofc when it starts getting properly long he has a few moments. he has to really confront his grief over his father's death and just the fear of that alone is enough to make him want to cut it again. piper stops him before he does but he has a few moments where he questions if it's worth it)

ik i just said earlier that he's not trans but like sometimes. with characters. i have headcanons that complety contradict each other. that is to say Transfem tristan mclean headcanon. she changes her name to t. just T. t wynn mclean. she goes by t cuz it's something she's already used to (jason called her that all the time before she came out).

I could see Hunter being one to be a gentleman and not kiss the woman he fancies without permission or unless she kisses him first. But once he does, he is gentle yet passionate, like he wants to really show you how he feels about you, but he doesn't want to move too fast. Tech

Tech is definitely more reserved and shy and would rather voice his intentions before taking action. "If it is permittable, I would very much like to kiss you." He's definitely one that I see kissing you during a fight or just in a moment of frustration cuz he's always in a foul mood to some degree. He would kiss hard, but with deep lust and passion. He's buried his feelings for a while and now that he's unearthing them, they are just exploding from him like a broken dam. You'll get pushed against the wall and locked in place cuz he's going to show you how he feels and nothing's going to stop him.

Captain Rex

Then, as a bonus: Captain Rex. He is a man that abides by rules and protocol, but he can't help his feelings for you. He wants to tell you, but he can't. It would get you both in trouble. i'm a timeless defender and the lines about the war and marrying another man aren't trivialising for me. they're about love against all odds. and yes, sometimes the situation is terrible like the war or arranged marriages. but she loves him so much that she doesn't care!!! if they met during the war or another terrible thing she would still love him because loving him is such a big part of her and it's stronger than common sense (it's smarter to be with a man who doesn't go to a war and it's smarter to just stick with your arranged husband). and when he's gone she's doing as much as she can - sends him letters and prays to god, because there's nothing else you can do in such terrible situation. and they were supposed to be together, to find each other in every possible scenario

idk if it makes sense to you and you're allowed to not like the choruses anyway, but i just wanted to clarify, because i have to defend my baby :(((

And I totally get what you’re saying! Loving against the odds, despite the harsh circumstances etc and maybe I’m just listening to the song in the wrong way, but to me the song has a consistently romantic tone. So for eg it starts w the speaker in that antique shop, admiring all the photos etc and the part I don’t rlly like is how that tone gets carried over to the choruses, as if she’s romanticising the troubles of horrible times. Even the (non-problematic) line ‘and I’d die for you in the same way’ is still fine to me cuz she’s talking abt a fictional story, ie fictional suffering, and its non-specific and is just referencing a generic desperation to love

I think my main problem is w the 1944 chorus mainly because of how specific it is w the year and everything, meaning that she’s likely referencing the holocaust. While any war is a tragedy, this is especially terrible (to me) cuz of how it was a genocide of the entire Jewish population. So to focus on a specific part of the suffering that she has not and will likely never experience, the going off to war bit and leaving loved ones behind, and to then romanticise it (this may be subjective but I feel like there’s an underlying sense of ‘oh isn’t it so romantic, the thought of u heading out to danger without knowing if we’ll ever see each other again, but me desperately loving u miles away still?’) feels a lil icky to me

and yeaaa now that I think abt it i don’t mind the arranged marriage chorus as much, even though it still has that sense of romanticising someone else’s suffering that she/most ppl today haven’t experienced. But it’s not as serious as a literal genocide so it’s still okay, but just not my fav way of how she could have done it, esp since she’s so very talented and (I feel) could have communicated these same ideas in a less (for lack of a better word) “””exploitive””” way

And omg the last ‘chorus’ ie the part after the bridge is my ABSOLUTE fav part of the song, like all the emotion in the ‘in a crowded room etc etc….’ makes me go soooo feral esp cuz of that underlying intensity/desperation created by the prev choruses, which I think was done rlly well by the arranged marriage chorus but not so much the 1944 one (maybe it’s just me but when I listen to that bit I can’t help but think of her referencing a very specific tragedy that she did not suffer from which leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth)

But you’re right it’s such a pretty and warm song! I absolutely dieeee for the pre-choruses and the tender simplicity of them AHHHH it makes me feel all soft inside 🥺🥺 and maybe I’m just too serious abt the choruses LOL but these are thoughts I have listening to it :)))

okay so grians species is actually kinda complicated

he was born as game watcher, an animus nightwing working under his mentor, secret keeper. he helps to organize tournaments between tribes on the mainland, tournaments that frequently end up going to death, a bit like scarlet's battle arena. though, one day, he got too attached to a participant in the game, which is a big no no and secret keeper cursed him to become a "lazy, bumbling rainwing for the rest of his days"

he moves permanently to the mainland and into the rainforest, plotting his vengeance and trying to find out how to cure himself.

since he looks like a very. weird rainwing though jimmy and joel end up finding him and trying to recruit him to their little hybrid clique.

jimmy is a rainsea hybrid named canary and joel is a rainmud hybrid named leaf. they're kinda the weirdos of the rainwings and, because grian is 1. generally bad at "acting like a rainwing" and 2. looks like a weird sort of hybrid of some kind, they take him under their wings for a while.

while out one night, trying to find that portal to the nightwing island, grian is ambushed.

when he wakes up hes in the scorpion den, ran by cleo, a skysand hybrid named cobra. she gets to be nicknamed king cobra cause I think its it's fun. turns out theres a small bounty on his head, but cleo will spare him (for now) out of good faith, them both being hybrids and all.

scar is the one who kidnapped him. formerly named sahara, scar was renamed after gaining all his battle wounds. hes like the quibli to cleos thorn. scar doesnt exactly appreciate cleos generosity, but he doesnt do anything further. hes just tasked with showing grian around, hes essentially his assigned best friend. neither of them care to much for it.

one day the skywings raid the scorpion den, lead by martyn, who is named general mars. grians wing gets injured in his and scars escape, cleo is captured.

scar wasnt able to fly anyway, but he refuses to leave grian, carrying him away on his back.

they are left stranded in the desert and become closer, grian still trying to find a cure for his curse. jimmy and joel are still looking for him.

some extra things:

tango is an overcooked skywing with too much fire, though he isnt with the skywing kingdom, hes actually imprisoned there. his name is blaze. also gay rancher love

lizzie is the seawing queen who's name is axolotl. she and jimmy are half siblings and shes been searching for him since his egg was stolen from the hatchery. his egg was yellow, btw, so shes looking for a yellowy seawing. his name was going to be cod. she and joel meet and fall in love at first fight.

scott is one of her ambassadors and friends, helping her try to find jimmy. his name is seafoam.

pearl is grians sister, her name is, of course, pearlescentmoon, named that mostly just because she was born on a bright bright night. she can see into the future and she desperately wants to return her brother to a normal life.

cub is an icewing named polar (last name bear lol. cuz. cub.) and he and scar met when they were both taken as prisoners. they're besties but dont talk often. etho is also an icewing, his name is icicle.

ren is the skywing king, his name is just red. they call him the red king.

first off every YIIK character is queer and neurodivergent becuz I'm queer and neurodivergent and I said so, the specifics of that depend on my mood and what sort of au bullshit i'm coming up with at 2am in a VC with my friends tho

Alex is complicated. i hate him hes a massive douche but also I really do get what the devs were trying to with him. the occasions when he's being nice and having fun with his friends are where he shines and honestly at heart hes just some guy who needs to get a grip and get his shit together (relatable). if i knew him personally i'd probably slap him and then we'd be good, he probably specialised in sci-fi/fantasy creative writing for his libarts degree and definitely wrote an essay at somepoint about videogames as an art form. He has tattoos but they're all probably really cringe and embarassing because they were super trendy when he got them and then fell out of fashion, he has one of those barbed wire ones around his upper arm.

Michael is my FAVORITE GUY OF ALL TIME HES SO SILLY but also i've made him horribly angsty in my brain as well it's so. i think him and alex have a really good "friends who are used to each other's bullshit" dynamic but also i ship them a little bitty bit just cuz i'm a sucker for besties who are obliviously in love with each other as a trope. He would hate-watch ancient aliens and buzzfeed unsolved because he thinks he knows better than them. If you read his comments on ONISM he also seems to be a really sweet and supportive guy with the userbase and thats rlly cool hes such a guy Aside from that though he has the most unexplored depth as a character imo, since it's confirmed he isn't from the present reality and at some point definitely becomes aware of that fact I like to think underneath the funnyman bestie thing he's probably having a crisis about who he is and stuff because even before he's consciously aware of it he probably felt this vague subconscious feeling of like,,,Not Belonging ig? idk i think he probably knows this isn't where hes really meant to be and hes trying to truck through it but the impostor syndrome is definitely there. I love michael so much he is a certified blorbo

Rory is sooo mecore I stole his name online because he's so mecore we are both emo/scene kids and his canon favorite song according to some questions directed at the dev team is a brighteyes song that i also love its like fate. ANYWAY I feel really bad for Rory because i think his character is probably handled one of the worst just with the tonal whiplash a lot of his character-centric moments has. I bet he listens to weezer and radiohead. If YIIK was set now he would be into creepypasta and he would get michael into it since it ties in with his paranomal urban legend stuff, they would vlog hunting for slenderman together. him and alex run a gaming channel together (THIS IS AN INSIDE JOKE BUT I HAD TO PUT IT IN I COULDNT HELP MYSELF)

Vella is pretty and I think she's super cool, one of my besties LOVES her so I kinda let him be the friend group CEO of vella stuff but my biggest takeaways from her is that I hope she gets back into making music again, but for her own fun this time instead of to fulfill some success pressure. maybe she starts a crappy little garage band with some of the gang and they write terrible songs about aliens who smoke pot and dance the macarena and she's the only one there who can actually play but they have fun with it. She also knows all the videogame cheat codes and keeps setting high scores that alex and michael cant beat. Also her mind dungeon reminds me of yume nikki and thats super cool cuz i love yume nikki

Chondra and Claudio deserved way more time for their characters to develop and also their lore is weird and confusing and I think the whole missing brother thing is rlly weird too becuz of the reveal of how that all works with alex and shit. BUT if they had been handled bettter they probably would be my favorites because I think claudio is super fun and his VA sounds like he's really going for it and he's just such a chill guy and he's super passionate about his interests and i respect that and 100% would be his bestie chondra is super cool too, she's clearly really into sports and I bet she hangs out at the local skate park and impresses everyone cuz of her roller skates and also probably gets vella into skating too and they go together and have matching customised helmets just for the extra cool factor. alex and michael and rory come and watch them but are too pussy to try (alex has had enough from that stupid skateboard ability you get in vella's dungeon). Maybe she goes to some competitions for it and stuff too

uhhh some other various stuff the essentia is really cool but also confusing and it took ages to make sense of her lore but i LOVE her voice the effects to make it robot-y are *chefs kiss* and essentia 995 is just SO idk how to describe it the part when she says "often it is necessary to lie to oneself to get a tough job done" hits really hard for some reason. shes metal as fuck, metaphorically and literally. sammy is literally a caricature of a real life dead girl and i think that's pretty fucked up and they shouldnt have done that, but she would have been really cool if it wasn't for that big yikes. in general i really love a lot of the influences yiik has i'm a huge fan of rpgmaker horror and murakami books and a bunch of the other shit that it references so hehehehehe thats cool

2) re: riyira crossovers I've literally been microwaving a leverage/riyira fic in my head for ages. it would be so good! Royce having to team up with Parker cause they're both thief archetypes and isn't that hilarious to ponder. he would hate it so much. "someone will die."/"of fun!" And Hadrian and Elliot with their similar backstories. They've definitely heard of each other through the murder grapevine. I can think of (I'm sorry I think this is gonna be a ramble) two ways this can go. Either they lock eyes for the first time and are immediately like

OR while they've heard of each other, they don't identify each other at first. They keep picking up on little hints and clues (Hadrian definitely has something "very distinctive" about him, unless the distinctive thing about him is that he isn't distinctive. He's fought so many places he doesn't have one particular style) until the climax of the episode they put it together and go

maybe they've even fought each other in the past!!!! that would be so juicy. but in the episode they punch some guys together and then drink beer while talking about guilt

In the episode wrap up Hadrian starts going in about how, "you mean to tell me the two of us have been doing the work of five people all this time?" and "what are we doing? let's hire some more people to riyira, take some of the pressure off." And Royce immediately shuts it down. Royce definitely gets a mini therapy session from either Nate or Hardison at some point. Hadrian has to pretend to be Sophie's sugar baby unexpectedly during a grift. Idk where that idea came from but there it is.

Another crossover I've thought of is early-days Vessar twins/Riyira. Like, imagine the black diamond and the clasp (which vax was part of) were rival gangs and Royce and Vax were old rivals or something, and now he and Hadrian have to help Vex and Vax out with a Thing (or vice versa). Vax and Royce definitely have an unspoken stealth/parkour contest going on and at one point, Vex starts flirting with Gwen which makes Royce Feel Things (the feeling is a mix of jealousy and yearning but he's never experienced it) Hadrian gets really into scritching trinket's ears and is openly in awe of vex's archery skills.

Parker and Royce? Working together? Comedy gold, I love this. She would annoy him so much, and yet he can't find it in himself to hate her, and he doesn't know why, which is even more frustrating.

Royce being absolutely against recruiting more people, but mostly because, as he said in Winter's Daughter, he'd have to change Riyria's name.

Hadrian and Eliot are so similar. But like, what if Hadrian only knew Eliot by his last name, and doesn't put it together, and Eliot only knows about the Tiger of Mandalin, so they take a while to recognise one another, and then Hadrian does, idk, something with three knives or something, and then Eliot's like 'hmm, very distinctive', and initially Eliot doesn't like him and by the end they are besties and it scares Hardison cuz now there's two of them?!

And Hadrian would go all out helping Sophie with a grift. He's really bad at lying but good at naturally getting people to like him, so it has mixed results.

And Vex and Vax too! I'm still slowly making my way through critical roll so I don't know too much about them, but the competition between Vax and Royce would be so good, especially the rival gangs idea, and they're so engrossed in trying to one-up each other while Hadrian and Vex are just being archery nerds and Trinket is loving New Friend Hadrian who gives very good hugs.

I never used to be that much of a fan of cross-overs, I am very fond of sticking to canon, but you are quickly converting me with all these Riyria cross-overs, this is fertile ground for some very fun fics, so thank you!!!

Hi!I need your opinion on the vault tracks for Speak Now TV!!! I somehow guessed a while ago that there would be collabs with Hayley Williams and I even guessed it would be on Castles Crumbling which is a song we've known about for a while. It really reminds me of their song Brick by Boring Brick so I hope it's similar to that. Or I always thought it could be the heartbroken version of Love Story..so maybe it will be slow and more similar to the Nothing New collab which I would also love!!! I guessed Fall Out Boy cuz she said they were a heavy influence on her at that time and she even sang Sugar we're going Down on the Speak Now tour..so my emo heart is so happy even though I know other people didn't want collabs. Also they both had really great albums out this year and I love them so much! Okay so I was reading out the track names with my sister and trying to pick them which ones we'd like for fun..then I saw When Falls in Love and freaked out. This confused my sister..who thought it would be like a Folklore old fashioned love song like Pride and Prejudice or something like Betty I guess . Am I fucking crazy for thinking this could be about Emma and Andrew??? We know they went to the Speak Now tour together and besties at the time!!! This apparently didn't even cross my sister's mind..lol so maybe it's just me. Like..she didn't even think I would wanna pick that one haha and the funny thing is..even if it didn't say the name Emma..she isn't a romantic at all. The weird thing is..I somehow maybe manifested this a while ago..thinking what Taylor thought of the relationship at the time..and if she wrote a song about it and I imagined it as a slow piano love song so i'm hoping for that! hi!! I immediately thought of you with the features and the emma discussion! I remember seeing a rumour that castles crumbling is about her parents getting divorced (which I'd definitely enjoy) but I have no idea if there's any truth to that or if it was just speculation.

obviously the Emma could be a fictional one or just someone we don't know about but it does feel like there's something there that the only Emma we know of her being friends with was Emma Stone! if it is about her and Andrew then that really doesn't help me in trying to get over a couple of celebrities that I don't know and that are long broken up 😭 I'm probably most curious about that one because it's such a specific title, but I'm looking forward to all of them. also it's fun that the genres are quite mysterious since there's presumably a bit of a pop punk vibe, plus it's probably quite country heavy still.

I may get tempted by the vault songs and I do think it's a fun opportunity to sort of experience the album in a different way, but I'll probably end up going for mine first anyway. it's exciting having new songs to look forward to and I love the whole original album so I'm sure I'll love this!

I’ve been rereading the “soul reaper!orihime” recently the edition with byakuya & orihime. and I just. Love. It so much. it leaves a lot to edited but it’s so good. I love orihime’s pov, she’s so fun to write and it’s so fun to read it! also the interactions between byakuya & orihime are SO FUN. like I would not think that I would have ever written it but it’s so <3 to me

the part feels so ridiculous in a way cuz the way the focus is on baguette. like cannot be normal about baguette considering all the memes LOL also just. like this the approx beginning of the entire scene (maybe fic…?) and I *love* it. i just always love it when I get to refer to characters I always use first names when talking about that by their last name!!!!! it’s so fun, it’s like seeing another multitude of them u don’t normally (like heh reminding of this other bleach wip where I use Sado and not chad the nickname that I forget honestly is *not* his name lol) and it’s *so fun* also I love exploring orihime in The Kuchiki House and how really this whole Dynamic is ODD. cuz like she’s just like a shinigami student here and there really is… no way usually for these two to have any connection???? unless ur rukia and ur sister was married to the Kuchiki. I just wanted to have this dynamic and so made it happened HAHAHA and it’s So Fun. also IDEK what it is but also just Love how I was writing this. it just seems *so good* and *fun*

also this is the most funniest scene Ever to me:

I think the True Charm of this fic is that it’s orihime pov and also orihime-byakuya dynamic which is batshit crazy to me and so fun and I Love. Orihime-byakuya is Not a dynamic you would see normally. you wouldn’t see these two characters and be like “they’d be besties” and I think that’s the most fun of it.

also the whole concept and how THIS IS ACTUALLY A CRACK TREATED SERIOUS IDEA djjdjdjd. she gets to have a sword that turns into a baguette LOL. the whole baguette scene having actual significance to her character and later leading to a scene…. the moment i wanted to writw which is why this entire doc was born…. it makes me love it even more ahahahaha

as u know the saying goes never say never but I GENUINELY think that I Will never post any of my spn stuff that is not sam+rowena cuz I v much see myself getting back to them. was going through my spn docs just now and wow there is a lot and it’s v fun seeing how I wrote then cuz it’s soooo diff from me now. also here is a bit that I REALLY like, confrontations are my fav ahhhhh

“You’re a hypocrite, you know.” Sam hisses. “You tried to save me many times with your life on the line. Why can’t I?”

“You were going to sell your soul!”

“So what?”

Dean falters at the flippant words and in a quick movement, Sam throws him off and it’s Dean who’s pressed against the wall. Facing Sam’s fierce expression.

“Listen,” He says, low and dangerous. “You’re my brother and I’m not going to watch you bleed out and die on me when there’s something I can do—even if that means giving away my soul. I can’t - “

His voice cracks, here. Expression breaking. And he drops his head. The tight grip on him eases but Dean doesn’t move.

He can’t move.

“I can’t—lose you.” Sam says. And Dean understands those words in ways he wishes he never could. He pulls his brother in, holds him in his arms, and breathes out.

“Just—not that. Not your soul. Please.” He begs but it’s not what he wanted to say.

Sam doesn’t reply, fingers clinging on back that it’s almost painful.

(But it’s Dean, who gives away his soul. For a year. Sam shouts at him, thumps his fists against his chest and after he’s finished screaming, his voice all dry and hoarse from it, he says. “I’ll save you. I won’t let you go to hell.” His eyes determined and fierce.

Dean doesn’t say anything. Lets Sam talk. Gives him this moment. A reluctant, hateful festering hope inside him, without his consent. Maybe, he thinks—)

(Sam never does though, in the end, save him. Dean screams when the hellhounds get to him, never stops, screams louder when he’s down there, in the pit, Alastair’s knife buried elbow-deep into his chest.)

I really do like how I described the hair falling over his side parting and “the long eyelashes that add to his handsome” also just the whole passage! it was a fun lil bit. “have you always been this serious?”

noritoshi turned his head down, glancing at the shorter girl standing beside him. they have been partners for a while, occasionally switching with todo when necessary. other than the fact that he was older than her, she had always been curious of him.

“explain like i’m stupid, why won’t noritoshi kamo smile?”

even resorting to harassing momo and mai to why noritoshi kamo is such uh-well noritoshi kamo ish. he doesn’t smile, laugh or show any other emotion than discomfort when needed; his forehead just won’t crease to show any reaction and she had turn it into a personal vendetta. they explained that he had always been like that. a natural leader, the future head of a clan and that he was raised away from his mother. he was taught that emotions are bad. that a leader shouldn’t be emotional in his decision making, and that to have emotional connection with another human being is a sign of weakness. which made him a perfect leader.

“that’s fucking ridiculous,” was her only response.

“i swear to god, if you made him laugh, with proof, our next girls’ day out is on me,” mai grinned, brows up as she held her hand to the other girl waiting for her to accept mai’s challenge.

“game on, zenin.”

“i feel like this is the only appropriate reaction when we are about to exorcist some curses,” he explained, so stoic that it made her angry. “okay, but that doesn’t explain the videos, the puns and the jokes. do you have so much botox in your face that you just can’t move your facial muscle?” he let her manhandle him; she had pushed him by his shoulder against the wall of the building they should be exorcising right now. their faces were so close, she was invading his personal space.

he couldn’t explain to why his heart was racing when she held his cheeks.

“why won’t you smile?” she frowned, irritated that he was not even agitated with her sudden behaviour.

he grabbed her wrists, pushing her away to create some boundary between them. she grunted, annoyed that she couldn’t complete her inspection for his odd face.

“i tell you what? if we can finish this job immediately, i’ll tell you what makes me happy.”

her eyes sparkled, mouth a jar as she gasped out loud. to finally know the secret to what makes noritoshi kamo happy? it was something legal but felt so illegal to know. eager to finally find out the secret had her skipping inside with hands welding the spear, completely missing the tiny curl of his lips.

“ouch,” she slapped his hand away.

holding her head down, she whined as he continued dabbing the cotton swab full of iodine on the cut above her nose. annoyed by her antsy behaviour had him cursing, “this is why you don’t barge in and act like you own their asses.” she couldn’t help but to smile. “but it works didn’t it, kamo?” she grinned. they sat on the bench at the nearby park few blocks away from the same building they had completed the exorcism.

as they were waiting for the college’s assistant to come pick them up, he helped her with her wounds. nothing major just a couple of scraps and cut on her face. they sat in silence, only accompanied by the sound of crickets and occasionally people walking by. she stared up to his face, so concentrated in cleaning her wound that he didn’t realised that the tip of his tongue poked out of the corner of his lips.

this man looks so beautiful.

“so, what makes you happy?” she suddenly asked, remembering the deal they had few hours ago. he broke his concentration and lowered his hand down. “what’s with you and your obsession to see me laugh?” he decided to indulge his own curiosity before he did the same with hers.

she shrugged, “i’ve heard about your family. i feel like it’s not fair for them to force such a huge responsibility on you,” her hand reached up to cup his cheek, gently rubbing her thumb against his flushed skin, “you deserve to not have your childhood ripped away so quickly.”

he raised his brow up, “what makes you feel that i’m not happy to carry the burden as the heir?”

“i mean, you are always so tense and serious even over small things. it’s okay that the pizza isn’t cut symmetrically, you don’t need to go all karen on the phone with the customer service,” she couldn’t help but to giggle at the memory. he was the reason that they had to wait and starve for an hour because he was not satisfied with the fact that their pizzas weren’t cut accordingly. he rolled his eyes, tossing the used pad away, replacing it with a new one.

“anyway, it’s okay if you don’t want to tell me, i was just messing with you.”

“you.”

her forehead scrunched in confusion, “me?”

he nodded, a small smile crept on his face, “you make me happy.”

noritoshi kamo is smiling.

alarms were going in her mind; her head is empty with nothing, but his smile engrained in her memory. she was frozen in shock at the sight. she opened her lips, but she couldn’t make up words to speak. he shook his head, “just don’t speak,” he whispered as his lips touched hers. her heart was pounding so loudly but she didn’t care as she threw herself into his arm, the sound of his laughter sent shivers up her spine. pressing her body closer into his, she looked down on his now opened eyes, he looked way more beautiful when he smiled.

“you have no idea how long i’ve wanted to kiss you,” he confessed.

“the feelings are completely mutual, noritoshi.”

when they returned to college next morning, mai and momo couldn’t understand to how she had her fingers intertwined with noritoshi’s. the man retained his neutral face as he leaded her down the hall to grab lunch, but she couldn’t help but to turn around and stuck her tongue out in victory.

noritoshi kamo is capable of smiling; but only to her and only her.
