Not the same anon who asked about it but wow your house and future plans sound so awesome! I’m trying not to feel inadequate lol, you’re younger than me (I’m in my late twenties) and you’re married with a kid and getting a house and everything! (i’m still with my parents for $$ and mental health reasons, also I’m american and the housing market is a hot mess anyway) anyway, congrats on all the big life happenings, you’re awesome!

thank you bby <3. and don't feel inadequate!! i definitely don't have my life together lol. i am still living with my parents for the same reasons, although i am preparing to move into a one bedroom apartment with my husband and child. and i definitely relate on the housing market. we got super super lucky with our house, honestly. it used to be a rental, but the landlord is a friend of my grandparents, and felt like they were getting too old to run an apartment and decided to retire and to sell it. my grandparents had been helping us look for a place because we were getting evicted (not our fault, the building was being sold and was bought within a week of being on the market and we had to find a place really quick) so they sold it to us at a discounted price. we definitely werent in a place to buy a home just off the market, believe me. i was working 2.5 hours a day for $16.39 and relied on my parents for almost everything other than Bubba's stuff.

and don't feel bad for living with your parents for mental health reasons! more children are living with their parents longer to save money and convenience! i could have totally gotten another job and got an apartment, but my job and living at home allowed me to do school, parent my daughter, and walk to work, which saved on bills a ton (no gas money, no babysitter/daycare, no rent, ty mom and dad <3) as my only bills were my phone and groceries which i easily paid for with my budget of around $700 a month.

i'm not sure where you live, but i know where i live, there are resources and funding for those in need. when bubba and i were living on our own without andrew, we struggled. i had such bad money anxiety, and switched to cloth diapers because i couldn't afford $30 for diapers every month when i was paying rent, utilities, wifi, life insurance, food, etc. while being in school, parenting, and struggling mentally (depression, anxiety, undiagnosed adhd, and age regressing when i didn't know what it was was not a good mix) and i could have absolutely benefitted from living with my parents, something my parents offered multiple times. they always offered me rent help, to drop off groceries, to babysit, to let me move back in and said theyd pay for me to break my lease. and i didn't accept it because of an off hand comment my dad made when i was 17 and got mad at my brother for throwing my makeup out of my bedroom window and said that he hopes i never got pregnant because he didnt want to be raising my child (he apologized, dont worry) but i definitely let that one offhand comment effect my life, relationships and mental health.

living with your parents isnt something to be ashamed of, and neither is not being married/in a relationship. we're all different, and we all develop at different rates. almost 50% of the people i went to school with are married w children or a baby on the way already, and i am aware that i got lucky with andrew. its not everyday that you can find a man who can do a complete 180 from the man they used to be. a small amount of what i have achieved is just pure luck, but the majority of it has been from help.

my grandparents and great aunt and uncle have been a part of my life since i was born, in more than just a grandparent/aunt/uncle way, and more like parents because i have a deadbeat father. the house my parents have used to be my grandparents house. my babysitter was found because she went to church with my great aunt and uncle, and thats how i ended up committing to being a christian. i was able to get to all my appointments as a young child (i have a lot of medical issues which i can talk about if you're curious) because of my aunt and uncle. my mom and i always had housing when i was younger because of my grandparents and their connections. my college has been pretty much paid for my by parents, grandparents, and step grandparents on my dads side.

i have struggled, but i have also been extremely lucky to have the support systems that i do. not every one is as lucky as i have been, but there is no shame in needing help and support, and there is certainly no shame in living at home with your parents. they're your parents, and their job is to provide for you, support you and love you no matter the situation. that includes financially, and from what i can tell, your parents are very understanding and supportive and that is great.

so please, anon, don't feel ashamed or inadequate because what you need at the moment is different from what i need. as an educator, something i remind myself often is every child is different. here are some quotes that i love and stand by that help explain a little more:

okay so, im about to go ham because i truly stand strong in my shoujo fantasy.

In my opinion, im pretty sure (like 89%) lucifer tells us that whenever mammon breaks off a relationship with someone, they go broke completely after. so hes had previous relationships before, as for the rest of the boys, im pretty sure lucifer has, but nothing serious, he wont let anyone in, MC is literally the only person who has pushed past his walls and seen him for more than pride. satan, 100% he has never had a relationship, levi, has had a couple of fwbs and other relationships but they always fizzle out, never lasting. asmo has never had a serious relationship, always just flings. belphie never had a serious relationship and same with beel. i truly believe MC is their first true loves, i know what youre thinking "theyve been alive for so long, theres no way someone couldnt have been special to them" but the thing is, theyre so different with MC; their entire dynamic and relationships changed with MC, MC saw them for more than their sin and got to know them to their very core, while yes the other relationships never lasted, thats not to say the boys didnt love them; but just not in the way they love MC. i believe MC to be a true love, not just a love, the difference for me is all of the boys would gladly give up chasing MC once she finds herself happy with another brother, instead of forcing them to choose yk? the "as long as youre happy, it kills me everytime i look at you smile at him, but i love you too much to let you be miserable with me" and i dont think any of them have experienced. also, with the whole "new relationship" thing, the honey moon phase, while yes every couple has it, i feel like with MC it would just, last. not to say they wouldnt have fights; ofc they would, but its different with MC, everyday the brothers would wake up and chose the option to love and fall in love all over again, speaking further on that, i dont think any of them would truly get over MC. and i mean that; (i dont think MC is going to die, obey me devs have something planned LOL, plus theyre super powerful, like the other anon said i dont think theyd be able to really function without them, even if they do "get over" mcs death at some point.) after MC dies i feel like the family dynamic wouldnt be the same, the brothers would get quieter and would never truly forget about it? and every relationship would fail because theyre not MC (you dont have to agree but i love reverse harems), like i 100% hc that after MC chooses another brother or after they die, mammon would try and try to find new flings, even after its been decades mammon finds someone whos super similar to MC, their look, personality, etc, but one wrong move and theyre out. (say MC doesnt like pickles, but the replacement for MC does, he would immediately start crying and call mc a stupid human who he shouldnt have fallen for.) anyways in conclusion, i truly dont think MC would ever die canonically in the obey me game, the devs are sneaky (love you devs), but even if they would, i really feel like they would never get truly over it. some part of me truly believes that the brothers would go back to being distant, how they were before. they would sit at the table and eat in silence, asmo would begin partying ten times harder (since we already know he uses his ego to cover up his major insecurity of people not liking him and how he feels about himself) and the brothers would become even more indugled in their sin. also, for every relationship they would have, they would just compare them to MC, and yeah but I cannot see MC dying. the other stuff about what the brothers would be like after MC dies could also be applied to when MC chooses her s/o. i think the brothers would be super fucking hurt, that was their first love, their first understanding who walked out and chose someone who wasnt them. anyways thats all, you dont have to reply i just felt like i needed to get this off of my chest, also im gonna be pretty frequent on your blog ( i love ur writing ) so im gonna call myself cake anon! have a great day! - cake anon

Hello Cake! iluuu! Thanks for this, i really love getting every ones take on these things! And there is defs a lot that i agree with here.

I agree with the Mammon part. Out of all of the brothers, i feel he is probably the easiest to get emotionally attached in a relationship, so i see him as the one with the most previous relationships. Asmo coming in second, but his being mostly flings or poly/open relationships. I’m sure Mammon has had some serious ones as well as many flings, where Asmo’s have never been overly serious and certainly never long lasting. I’m also sure Luci has had a few, some more serious than others, but he wouldn’t get overly attached emotionally. I’m sure he’d be too busy with Diavolo since arriving, being the workaholic he is. I’m sure not many partners would be willing to deal with that level of non-commitment and emotional unavailability from him.Levi I feel like all his relationships never left that awkward early stage, and his only ‘serious’ relationships would have been strictly online, maybe a couple meetups that made him nope right out of it. Satan, again, has probably just gone on some casual dates but didn’t have much interest in actually dating rather than gaining connections. i feel like Beel is the most likely candidate to have had healthy previous relationships. He is pretty well balanced emotionally and has a good outlook on love and family values. I’m sure he’s had a few serious relationships and has dated his share of people. Belphie gives me vibes of had one or two previous serious relationships that did not end well at all and now he’s a salty sob over it lmao.

I still don’t feel like MC is necessarily their first true love, but maybe the first different kind of love for them. MC has reached them in ways no one else has, they don’t try to change anything, they fit in well with the whole family, they understand their sins etc. I have loved a few different people in my life, and each one was such a different experience for me. The first guy i loved, i consider to be my first true love. However, it didn’t work. And then i met the man I eventually married, he wasn’t my first true love, but it was a better kind of love, yk?

And uugghh you ripped my heart out with how the brothers would feel if MC chose a different brother!!!! Because they all would be so heartbroken it’s not them, but they really truly just want mc to be happy and cared for, and they know their brother would keep them safe and provide well.

A few asks ago, i mentioned that the brothers would move on eventually. I think there is a big difference in moving on and getting over that I maybe didn’t articulate very well. If MC were to die or choose someone else, they would move on eventually, but they might not ever really get over it. My heart hurts just thinking about how they would feel trying to move on. Like you mentioned, the empty, quiet dinner tables, lackluster parties and festivals, it would be like they lost their best friend. (i giggled picturing your mammon scenario with the pickle because that’s exactly how he’d react to something so small lmaooo)

I also agree that i don’t think the devs will kill mc off (again), that just seems like a really crappy way to end the game!! I’m curious to see how they would make different routes go if you can only romance one of them end game, vs you being able to have them all? I wonder if we’d get a choice in the whole becoming immortal thing or not?

2) i like this ship because theyre both badass milfs. i like old wlw relationships because so many wlw relationships are between teenagers or young adults in lretty much any fandom and this gives fans a fanon glimpse of some lasting loving older wlw (for lack of better word) representation (ik its not representation since it isnt canon but its the best word i can think of) and i think thats so heartwarming and cute because we deserve stories of wlw relationships that last past teenage and young adult years. lifelong loves people!!!

Reasons I don't think Kagami and Adrien would be the best mix, But Kagami and Luka? Yes pleassse.

Kagami and Adrien...

Even though they are very similar in home life and some hobbies, their parents have too much control over their lives. Not to mention their parents are "friends". Imagine if they were to get married and have children, how helicopter parent/grandparent they would continue to be. Gabriel and Tomoe would only encourage eachothers toxic behavior. Sure Kagami and Adrien could relish in goofing off together, but unless they decided to up and run away, theyd never get the life they crave. They couldnt escape either of their parents because Gabriel and Tomoe would actively work together to "do what's best" for their kids. And in the future, their grandkids.

Now put Adrien and Marinette, or Kagami and Luka together. These pairings would garauntee that both Kagami and Adrien would have a positive influence In their lives who could encourage freedom and growth to them as people, support them in standing up to their parents, and be there for them when they are feeling rejected or ashamed due to being whipped their whole lives. Not to mention it also would provide inlaws that don't agree with the way Gabriel and Tomoe are with their kids. Which would force Gabriel and Tomoe to rethink how they parent instead of staying in their comfort zones and never being pressured to change.

Now Take Luka and Kagami,

Luka would never be approved of by Kagamis mother when you first look at it, but with his skill of reading/understanding people, his patience, gentlemanly nature(which Tomoe already admires in Adrien), and his ability to connect with others through his musical language. I imagine over time, even he could wiggle his way into Tomoe Tsurugis heart. Especially since one of the key ingredients in Japanese culture for many trades is passion. Like the passion for fencing. Luka is literally the definition of passion when it comes to his music. I'd be suprised if Tomoe didnt see that trait in him and admire it once she got passed the type of music he plays. Of course if that all ends up not working to his advantage. Kagami could also just run away with him while he's on tour with his band.😂

Then theres the fact that Luka being so empathetic to other people could help sheltered Kagami to better understand others and reach past her social awkwardness (I mean, just look at this poor baby in Ikari gozen) Kagami also could encourage Luka to be more open to confrontation, further pushing his music career in such a competitive industry. So that he doesnt get taken advantage of like in the episode "silencer". (Incase you cant tell I'm a huge Lukagami shipper....)

As for Marinette and Adrien.. We all know the millions of reasons Adrien and Marinette would go well together. And Marinette, using her skills of being a talented designer could use Gabriel's growing respect and admiration towards her as a way to reason with him when he's being unreasonable to Adrien, not to mention her fiery attitude being able to smack back when Gabriels being stupid.

Anyways, I know this isnt very well written, just a scramble of thoughts. ll I feltllke sharing!

im not doing the full meme because i dont have the energy to do it for random characters BUT i wanted to post some valant hcs so (under a cut bc this is a fucking monster of a post)

A: what i think realistically

i wrote this section last bc most of my hcs fall under the other categories lmfao but uhh i dont imagine that valant spends a long time in prison following turning himself in because like, adrian did the same thing (altering a crime scene to frame someone) and she got out pretty quickly? but afterwards valant... doesnt really have a career to return to esp since his last big performance was involved in a murder and the investigation led to him having to reveal the technique used lol. sucks 2 be him

B: what i think is fucking hilarious

so ive talked about this before but hes got a Thing about like... having a very defined stage persona and not breaking character but also, you cant... wear magician clothes 24/7 you gotta have other Options so when he doesnt have the energy to be in-character and has to go like, get groceries or leave his apartment to do laundry or w/e he presents differently to the point of being unrecognizable (i imagine he styles his hair for shows and wears it differently when ooc and just, has super different mannerisms and body language and speech style)

and generally he avoids places he spends time in while ic so that people dont recognize him but like i imagine he probably has a side job? since his magic gigs canonically aren’t super popular

so im imagining him working at like, a grocery store or w/e and one time hes working and phoenix goes to his register to buy sth and its extremely uncomfortable because both of them kind of recognize the other esp bc i like to imagine theyd like... talked to each other a bit since phoenix’s disbarment because of valant visiting trucy (see below) and overall its very awkward and neither of them want to make eye contact and it never gets mentioned again

C: what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends

valant’s concept of family is very Fucked and also hes got issues, w/ authority mostly stemming from apprenticing under magnifi for a long period of time... i think it’s safe to say that magnifi was canon abusive to the other gramaryes and like, i v strongly hc valant as borderline which Doesnt Help lmao

and i know theres 0 canon info about valants life outside of his work so i can make up whatever i want so i say he isnt in touch with his bio family and didnt get along with them very well so when he was around 16-17 he just basically moved in with thalassa and magnifi (i havent worked out where zak fits into this yet) and magnifi became very much an Unpleasable Dad Figure that valant idolized and i think that valant was like.... aware that a lot of the way magnifi treated his apprentices and his daughter was not at all okay or defensible but didnt really want to admit it, and magnifi’s death didnt make that any easier lmfao

also this only sort of related but i want to include it- valant idealized zak for a long time and the similarities between zak and magnifi dont help with that, and i like to think that the two of them became v close after thalassa ran away? and neither of them really expected her to come back

and zak and thalassa getting married (? i dont remember if they officially got married in canon but i kind of assume they did) after her returning definitely felt like a betrayal from zak at least, i dont think valant blamed thalassa for it at all but it definitely solidified in valants mind that he was Unnecessary and like, i know zak is pretty objectively an asshole but imo valant didnt think of him that way despite splitting on him? valant interpreted those feelings more as jealousy than as like, justified anger on his part bc zak was the favored one, the Good one, and over time valant just. increasingly sort of accepted that he couldn’t be on zak’s level and that lead to a lot of bitterness

i have Thoughts about thalassa’s “death” also but this is super long already so i’ll save it for another post

D: what would never work with canon but the canon is shit so i believe it anyways

ok the fact that theres a four year age gap between valant and thalassa and valant and zak is BULLSHIT imo and i hate... female characters being markedly younger than men who are into them lmao and also theres no fucking reason they cant be the same age, it changes NOTHING about canon aside from making things a little less fucky So i like to just. pretend they were all born around 85-87 and knew each other as teenz

but also. what is even more bullshit is valant not visiting trucy for 7 years, what the fuck capcom i will fight you over this

SO gimme valant staying in touch with the wrights and like, its a bit weird because he knows phoenix is struggling financially and its kiind of his fault but phoenix feels really weird about accepting money from him because hes aware that valant is also struggling so mostly what happens is that valant like, periodically invites trucy and phoenix to like, get pancakes or go to festivals and its partly an Advertising opportunity for valant because he can be in persona and do tricks and usually there is some kind of small crowd around them by the end of it and trucy loves it and phoenix Hates it
