no idea why my algorithm thought i wanted to watch a writing advice video but i got curious and wanted to see how many points of failure rvd hopped on in its run and i'm bored so here we go:

ahh. yes. well. half points to establishing it before, uh, doing whatever they did to it for more than the first half. video dude straight up says changing the direction half way through pisses the audience off which...seems legit so far.

(shout out to the b/as who used to argue with me that the genre didn't change and also didn't know the difference between theme and genre. stay in school, kids)

oh no, ha, starting think this video is about the rvd writers personally. "you don't want to promise them something fast paced right off the bat then nothing happens for the rest of the story until the very end." one would think, video dude. one would think.

(#3 lends itself more to novel writing but i'd like to give a shout out to dropped plots)

while he's giving very good advice about presenting villains as inept only when interacting with the main character, i can't stop thinking about archie and the bear.

it was a fucking bear against a teenager who looks like he learned to tie his shoes in the same week he learned to be a boxer, roberto.

shout out to the king of rvd villains, tho. hiram, you will always be famous if not totally unsuccessful in your plans thwarted by literally everyone who gives it more than 5 minutes of thought.

would like to submit also deciding on a cliffhanger ending with no forethought about what it means and what's to come. see: the black hood. retconning the end of s6 to change how s7 starts.

LOL, BH was so loved by the writers that they rewrote history with the 50s and fixed the mistake of BH dating with BA being madly in love since high school like they should have been since S1 with their slowburn epic love story. Eternally grateful for Evan and Ted, thanks to them BA is the focus of S7 again and have their endgame secured in both the 50s and the present

thinking about how it isn’t varchie this barchie that we should be bantering about. thinking about how we should just all accept whatever happens (and i’m not so sure it will be varchie or barchie, at least not solidly!) thinking about how every (normal) archie ship brings some different interests, personality traits, and ideas out from him!!!

betty brings out archie’s deep longing to live up to his father. she brings out his boy next door nature and his dream to lead a simple white picket fence suburban life!!! and that is okay!!!!

veronica brings out the little voice saying “what if” in his head. what if i didn’t follow the path everyone is telling me i should be on? what if i didn’t allow myself to be influenced by my legacy? what if i did move to new york and live in a penthouse?? and that is okay!!!!

jughead brings out his creativity. jughead is the narrator and archie is his muse and the hero of his story!! jughead also brings out the little “what if” voice in his head but in a much different way!!! what if i pursued music again? what if i dropped everything and ran away with him? and that is okay!!!

josie brings out his love for music. reggie brings out his humor and competitiveness. et cetera et cetera!!!

three random things that have been prominent lately: raisinets, good books (the left hand of darkness is my most recent read, changed my life, i just sat and read it all day for a couple days straight), and being involved in theatre productions!!

25. fave season and why?

fall/autumn bc i’m basic and it’s beautiful and yes poetic, also summer because it’s warm and august is the best month in the year, also spring bc it’s poetic and beautiful and warmm

fave season of riverdale: i’ve long said it’s season 3 because the episodes 1-9 stretch is the best the show ever gets in my opinion, and i’ve rewatched that 10x more than most of the rest, and also hedwig best musical ep cause it gave us cheryl sugar daddy and core four origin of love which gave us core four origin of love amv. HOWEVER, season 5…..? even just for graduation and the scenarios i make up in my mind. i think in terms of riverdale, things can change so much within a season that i don’t really have favorite seasons, i have favorite episodes and season 3 does unequivocally have the most favorite episodes for me. season 3 is also when archie boxed hiram and veronica sang daddy lessons and that was a cultural reset for the one man party of me so

fave season of boy meets world: season four 💖 it’s cory’s best look in terms of haircut, it has the best theme song (TO ME) and it, too, has an 8 episode stretch (episodes 8-15) which i used to compulsively watch over and over because they were basically only about cory and shawn being gay together and hardly featured the other characters who mostly annoy me. also all those episodes are fucking insane in terms of cory and shawn being gay together or maybe that’s just my covid lockdown watching this show for the first time at 15 with my sister mind talking

fave season of glee: season 1 is just sooo but also season 2 has gotta be my favorite

such a complicated question and i would love to give a very long answer involving LOTS of fictional examples and genuine thoughts but i’ve been thinking a lot about this quote and sam and frodo lately so this is my short answer

U didn’t get endgame either. Hahahahaha we still got so much more than your ship ever got despite us always telling u Archie had stronger feelings for Betty than Veronica. Like when he cheated on her, saw his Heaven as being with Betty, and asking Veronica for a ring to propose to Betty.

And is any of what you've mentioned in the room with us right now? Or did they erase most of it and nothing matters?

I'm sorry, but my ship was heavily featured for 5 seasons straight so I can't even take you seriously when you say things like this.

Especially when it always rose from its ashes whenever you all claimed they were bones.

Hell even in the finale, they don't even give you the possibility to pretend it ended differently for BA.

They just straight up said "nah, bro."

I suggest you find someone else to play with though because I'm over this mess of a show. I'm taking what I want from it and then I'm focusing on my ship.

You can all continue to fight each other, but it won't involve me.

Okay FMK ECW edition RVD, Raven, Stevie Richards?

My first all ECW FMK!! F*ck: Stevie Richards - Guy is still hot even in crop tops and cutoffs. That's a pretty stellar accomplishment. Marry: RVD - Dude is PHENOMANLLY gorgeous. And talented. And seems like a genuinely good, honest guy. Maybe I'm reading him wrong, but I'd still lock it down. Kill: Raven - this is because in my current WCW Nitro/Thunder binge, he is so gd whiny. It doesn't even come across as emo or goth, it's just...whiny. Also, binging these was never how this content was meant to be consumed lol
