Two days ago, I took a hop on hop off trolley tour of the city these were taken at Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee and I'm still in Nashville until Sunday.
I saw this replica of the Parthenon where the nice tour guide said contains a very big and beautiful statue of the goddess, Athena. Part of me wishes to go visit since I felt it might be the closest I'll get to the real deal which is among the ruins in Greece.
I wish I could see that statue of Athena and maybe snap a picture and probably pray to her to grant me courage and wisdom but Tennessee is the buckle of the "Bible Belt" and folks there don't take kindly to polytheistic pagans like me and through their ignorance see me as a false idol worshipper or a something heathenous The gods tagged along with me for this trip and Aphrodite liked how my pictures turned out and told me I will get to see the real deal in Athens one day.

Coin of the ancient Greek city of Thurii in Southern Italy, established in 446 or 443 BCE as Panhellenic colony by Athens and Pericles. According to the ancient sources the constitution and laws of Thurii have been written at Pericles’ request by the major sophist Protagoras of Abdera and Herodotus was among the first colonists (that’s why some ancient writers refer to him as Herodotus of Thurii and not Herodotus of Halicarnassus, his homeland).
Source of the picture : https://www.arsclassicacoins.com/biddr/#!/auction?a=7
According to the description of the same site, the coin is a dinomos from ca 350-330 BCE.
Obverse with head of Athena wearing Attic helmet decorated with Scylla holding trident and reverse with inscription ΘOΥΡIΩN (of Thurii) and with bull butting; between its hind legs, Π and in exergue, two fishes swimming (from the same description).

A significant portion of the western "left", especially online, are shocked or even offended that global south people not only know about politics in the united states but have opinions about them. They think that, because they live in the first world, that that's all there is and thus events beyond the border rarely register as a blip lest it got blown into the limelight like with Palestine. They project their own ignorance onto the global south.
But of course the global south would be intimately familiar with the politics of the first world! What gets decided in washington or brussels or london or paris or berlin gets exported the world over. The Palestinian cars about the arms deals of the united states. The Nigerian cares about the "strategic resource" policies of france. The people of the global south are at the whims of the worst policies of the imperial core but who have absolutely no say in it. Like the delian league, the slave colonies most definitely had a stake in the machinations of athens but ehoch they could neither vote nor represent themselves.
