A Thought

I lied. It's not a thought. It's a not at all cohesive babble.

So what if Crowley and Aziraphale - hear me out - adopted a kid? Like, they're living at South Downs and Aziraphale just shows up at the cottage with a literal 8 year old human? And Crowley's like 'fucking... okay.'

And they take care of this human kid. And they wow the kid with miracles, and as the kid becomes a teen, the kid's like 'pa, never do that again' when Aziraphale tries to do his magic act and he's all heartbroken because his kid doesn't like his magic act and Crowley has to comfort his angel?

And the kid becomes an adult, falls in love, and moves out, but Aziraphale finally caves and buys a modern phone so he can check in with the kid every day and the kid's exasperated but loves their pa and allows it.

And the kid gets their heart broken and moves back in and lives there for a while?

And Crowley and Aziraphale love this kid with everything they have?

And even then, it's not enough, because the kid dies anyway, and Crowley and Aziraphale find comfort in each other, and barely leave the house for a century - not even to eat or get alcohol?

But then they realize that being able to love this thing that they raised was worth the grief and they adopt another?

What if that happened?

Aziraphale: Then… Then you tell me that you want to do this. You look me in the eye and tell me.

Crowley [convincingly]: I want to. I long to destroy the blameless children of blameless Job, just as I destroyed his blameless goats.

Aziraphale [believing Crowley]: Then God forgive you.

[As they are both walking away in different direction a bleating sound is heard. Aziraphale turnes and sees only crows... which proceed to bleat. Crowley watches Aziraphale. Aziraphale and Crowley glance at each other. Aziraphale makes a miracle and the crows turn to goats revealing that Crowley didn't destroy the goats but changed them into crows instead.]

Aziraphale [putting his hands on his hips, cheerily]: Well.

I will never get over how happy Aziraphale is that Crowley is helping him save the kids in the Job minisode

He really looked Crowley in the eye and dared him "prove to me you're not good" and Crowley said "I will" but he just couldn't do it. He could never kill the goats. He could never kill the kids

Aziraphale's face is the perfect mix of "I told you so" and "you are such a sweetheart"

I have never seen a man gloat more loveling

And Crowley pushes back again - "I'm a demon, I lied" - but Aziraphale still refuses to stop believing in him - "Be not afraid, you're perfectly safe." "Are you sure, angel?" Yes. Quite sure."

Then Crowley harbors them all in the basement to shelter them from the storm and Azirapahale...

He is besotted

Eustass Kid/Killer:

Friends/lovers since childhood, would kill and die for each other. [SPOILERS for those who have not watched/read the Wano arc yet] Killer ate a defective SMILE fruit to safe Kid, making him unable to swim and show any other emotion than laughing (and gains him nothing), and he also knew exactly where to cut off Hawkins' arm so he wouldn't harm Kid (because he knows his body so well). Kid promises to kill whoever makes fun of his partner, and lets himself be recaptured after escaping prison because Killer had gotten himself captured.

If this ain't love idk what is.

The captain/right-hand man dynamic. They call each other aibou (partner). If your partner doesn't tell you that he will send whoever laughs at you to hell then he is not worth it. Killer hates his own laugh to the point that he stopped laughing out loud and started wearing a mask. But then he was forced to eat a defective devil fruit (because they promised he could see Kidd if he did) so he's been cursed to only laugh no matter what emotion he's trying to express. That's why Kidd said that, it's so full of weight for someone like Killer. And when Kidd was imprisoned and he worked so hard to escape, but as soon as he saw Killer being pulled into the same prison he just broke out from mans did not hesitate for even a second to go right back in.

Crowley/Aziraphale:

Literally THE demon and angel ship. Spent thousands of years dancing around each other since they were so opposite even though they loved each other.
