hi!! this is my contribution to the @narutoreversebang for 2022! I was lucky enough to be paired with two incredible artists, azuzel23 (@azuzeldraws) and c_Art (archiveofourown.org/users/c_art) and to have Zippy (@shinobimagpie) to bounce ideas off of.

this is a character study of kakashi reluctantly getting mental health treatment. little angsty, little hurt/comfort-- perfect for this holiday season!

Azuzel23 is an animator and mixed artist living in the northern hinterlands of the world with a love for reptiles, metal music and comic books. Summer finds them enjoying every ounce of sunshine while winter finds them holed up doing art stuff and witchy things. They’ve contributed and modded in a variety of zines and events and regularly conduct creative workshops in real life. They recently led a series of animation workshops for children fleeing the Ukraine war. This has really brought home the breadth of the crisis and they were grateful and delighted to be brought into this wonderful project.

Oh! I just wanted to say how much I love the Tenzou animation 💕 one very subtle, but major thing for me is that you have a boiling line. Ever so slightly. Wes Anderson is a big fan of this technique. It gives the animation so much more life and feeling! This animation is full of so much feeling, it kills me. I can't wait to see more

I had no idea that’s called a boiling line!! You learn something new every day 😁 It’s a pain in the butt, but it makes an animation so much more flowy, and seeing as basically every comment I get on animations contains the word “flow” or “smooth”, I guess I’m doing it right! 😊

I’m still working hard on finishing it! I’m even making a sound track, if that’s what you can call it heh. The problem is, the more of such details I add, the more rushed the initial line art seems. I’ve actually had to add five whole seconds to it since I coloured and shaded it all. It was 6 seconds long before, so that’s.. a challenge haha. Let’s say I’m also looking forward to the end result 😅
