Things that I know about the show, but forgot to include: the red flowers are a critique of the opioid epidemic in the United States; he and his brother intentionally threw up on their mom in the middle of the night to wake her and demand attention; Dickolas was on a diet at some point, because he was skinny then buff then skinny again, so what else could it be; the cross that Dickolas carries around is also a shovel; there's an orphanage for supervillains, they graduate with ominous names and superweapons and shovels; the protagonist and his utensils-collecting brother have several sisters who are literal tobacco plants and that's where the cigarettes come from.

writing update; May

Okay, I have finished part one (or two if you consider it a beequel) of my nanowrimo thing. In its trimmed state it is currently at around 140K words. The thought of sharing it online/publicly still fills me with anxiety of buttloadian proportions (no, not because it’s bad or because I’m scared people won’t like it — quite the opposite; but we’ve already been through this dumpster fire of disillusionment and trauma), and every time I plan on doing that, I instead start crying like a child. :-/ So let’s try it like this, maybe?

If you would like to binge-read my new thing, send me a message (tumblr messaging system or telegram) requesting access to the document, like, for simplicity, ‘Hi, I would like access to the thing/further information about the thing’. Please note that said thing is very not suitable for minors. That’s it for now.
