Friendly reminder that Percy jackson - our beloved silly adorable seaweed brain - is absolutely terrifying. When he’s angry, when he’s scared, when he’s on edge - he’s not warm and fuzzy.

No other character gets that reaction from people. Jason (the sweetie) is perceived as calm and in control, nico (our favorite self-outcasted outcast) is perceived as solemn and creepy, reyna (girlboss queen slay) is perceived as confident and assertive, and annabeth (our girl) is perceived as fierce, clever, and formidable. They are all intimidating to an extent.

But not like Percy. No. Becasue even when he’s at ease, he’s described as wild and disobedient. And when he’s not at ease, even if just little bit, he’s perceived as powerful, dangerous, and scary. Someone who NOBODY wants to mess with. Nobody even questions his power. One look from him has literal gangs running the other way. One look from him has Leo so scared that he’s literally shaking, and feeling the same innate fright and alarm that he does when jason summons an ear-piercing, earth-shaking, deadly bolt of lighting.

like… HELLO??? can we all just sit on that for a moment?? good lord

One angry look from percy has people thinking one thing: Run.

Percy is, canonically, the character that people find the most frightening and intimidating.

And unless he’s in a good mood - which you better hope he is - the reality is that most of us would be completely terrified of him if we met him.

I'm going feral again with a silly headcanon.

I just had that post on how Odysseus made Puzzles for himself and Penelope and I have another idea and I'm just really excited to share it lksdjf

I basically plan to have this man in love with Penelope within 10 mins (I HAVE A PLAN! It sounds crazy but I think it'll work. Plus these two are reckless and young when married. His first crush and he's not handling it well.)

This is them. Or at the very least Penelope is definitely playing it off very nonchalantly and is kind of messing around at first, thinking that the "trickster" is "not being genuine" when he's never been more genuine in his life. She can see right through all his lies and bullshit and basically forces him to be vulnerable, something he loves yet is TERRIFIED of. Especially as she "unmasked" him so quickly (and tricked HIM.😉 Won't say how. no spoilers yet) and so effortlessly and he's just a MESS. Athena isn't helping and just watches them both fumble around, even when Odysseus is asking for some guidance, Athena just smiles and is all like "I'm the Goddess of Wisdom, not of Love. Figure it out yourself." (PENELOPE IS JUST AS MUCH OF A BLORBO TO HER AS ODYSSEUS IS, YOU COWARDS!)

I won't go into huge details. I WILL write this fic someday and I need to leave SOME things a surprise. But KNOW this man will be pulling out all the stops trying to impress her and tries to show all the things he's good at and one will be his "puzzle making".

He'll bring a puzzle to her TRYING to talk all "suave" (he'll be semi-tongue tied. Something that he's not used to and is annoyed that he can't seem to think around her)

It'll probably have a little gift inside and he'll be chatting away about how he worked hard to make it and that there's a trick to it and blah blah blah

Penelope: Oh! There's (some sort of treat or gift) inside!

Odysseus: Wait, you solved it already?

Penelope,🤨: Yes. All you have to do is this.

Odysseus, falling (more like sprinting at this point) further in love but also mad his plan to woo her didn't work: Well... Yeah. That's a gift for you.

He's trying SOOOO hard but he has to stop "showboating" to genuinely impress her. Man has to be fucking vulnerable for her to be impressed by him because she already can read his "tells" on when he's pulling something. No more "tricks". Be yourself, you fucking idiot >:D

#uygfidhsojhf I revealed a LOT already but I just??? I really love writing this man being a fucking mess and not knowing what to do #for once in his life. The man who “always has a plan” now DOESN'T know what to do and he's all feelings right now.#And Penelope has no time for tricks (unless she's the one pulling one). How do you feel about Jimmy and Scott canonically staying together even in the afterlife after 3rd life. I need to hear your thoughts

i have some thoughts ☝️

^ I made that post a while ago, though: I still dont lean more towards one interpretation over the other (afterlife Jimmy being real VS afterlife Jimmy being Not Real) but I do think there is more of a basis for him not being real, as it makes more sense in my head with how Jimmy and Scott act when FH is brought up post-3L, as well as how Jimmy acts during the cutscene (he’s always seemed a bit off to me during it? OOC I think it’s because he was likely given some directive and was trying to act accordingly, as opposed to the usual, aka: not trying to act with much in mind at all.)

These days I think a lot about that option. My stance has always been that Scott would know this Jimmy isn’t right, but I’ve heard people make cases for Scott never fully realizing it as well; that his idea of Jimmy had become so warped in that post-death idealization of him that Scott wouldn’t tell the difference (or at least wouldn’t want to, and try to cling to denial for as long as possible). Sickening idea, 10/10 no notes.

#Also comes with the funny implication that Scott saw the real Jimmy in Last Life and immediately snapped out of it #This happens anyways actually. but I just wanted to mention it #asks #deranged.fh.posting #you could take the 3l afterlife scene ten million different ways honestly so i never commit to just one #I have a whole fic in my head based around afterlife Jimmy being real and their shared afterlife changing over time as jimmy starts to—#have his own wants again. considering things would be a lot more chill in the afterlife (no war!) so he’d actually be able to do so #but the change would scare Scott because he’d just gotten everything to where it needs to be. subtle conflict ensues etc etc #i am not a fic writer however

Thinking about:

The two moments in ep 1 (6:08) and ep 2 (32:37) when Jihyun is seen in the background between Jaewon and Tae Hyung/Eun Ji respectively.

The way Jaewon's taller shadow engulfs Jihyun's smaller shadow as Jaewon walks towards Jihyun on the beach in ep 2.

Yoon Won singing on the beach.

Just how fantastic Yoon Won, Ae Ri, and Jihyun's boss are.

How it looks like Jaewon drew himself and his younger brother and maybe a young Jihyun in the landscape of the Han river in ep 4.

The way Jaewon tugs Jihyun into him after putting the rucksack on Jihyun in ep 4 (7:03).

The tale of the country mouse who ran back home (ep 4)...and me wondering if it's foreshadowing a separation and/or time skip in future eps.

Jihyun keeping Jaewon's art in case he becomes famous...and me wondering if that will come back if there's a time skip/separation at the end.

The fact that the therapist is always in the same top, which might indicate that the therapy scenes are all from the same session...maybe meaning everything else that's happening are flashbacks from the time of the session...which ends in ep 5. There are no scenes of the therapy session in ep 6.

The bust on the shelf in the therapists room, with hands over its eyes...

Jihyun's dream of going to the Hanson Tower with a lover and putting a lock up there...and me hoping he'll do that with Jaewon.

The "traffic won't stop for you" sign behind Jaewon as he gets drunk in ep 5 and talks about siblings. If it turns out his brother died because he ran into the road I will throw fists.

The way Jaewon's little brother is dressed in a light blue t-shirt with something cream over the top in the flashback and then Jihyun is also wearing light blue/grey under a cream jacket in the next scene.

Jaewon's "We are always living in other's frameworks in this world". And "Don't try to get out of the box".

The silence as the credits roll at the end of ep 6.

#the eighth sense #the 8th sense #t8s #I don't gif and viki prevents screenshots so all I can do is bounce them around in my brain like a washing machine #I'm not making predictions about ep 6...#well apart from after my second watch I think the beach scene IS real #but from the point of the overhead shot of them lying on the surfboards on the beach #until them surfing again feels like it's in one or both of their imaginations #that's the point where continuity fails for me #so I think they either talk about the possibility of spending the night together #or one of them (maybe jihyun) imagines/daydreams the bed scene #and then they go back into the water where jihyun almost drowns #I think he gets taken to hospital but he's fine #jaewon however will then distance himself from jihyun because he's scared he can't keep him safe #anyway...#I also wonder what trauma jihyun has suffered because he's hinted to it a couple of times #and I don't just mean the water hazing #but we'll see #I can't believe I have to wait SIX more days to find out 😭
