Jake Sully

ok wo we have basically already seen Jake experiencing love at first sight with Neytiri

BUT I WILL GO INTO GREAT DEPTH

Jake 'cool guy' Sully is a major romantic

he has no shame in flirting and letting you know how he feels. none at all.

so I think it would happen somewhat similar to the first avatar movie, you rescue the dummy avatar about to get eaten

it isn't until you hit him with a line confirming his thoughts

she nearly drops the bowl, it fumbles around a little in her hands before she gets control of it again

introductions would be very short and she would have a ver difficult time making eye contact, like you'd meet her eyes and shed blush harder and look away

Wherever Is Your Heart (Chapter 9)

They don’t speak for almost four weeks. Normally in their line of work, it’s impossible to go longer than two hours without checking in on the other, but this time, under these circumstances, they make the distance happen.

She goes to Quantico; he jet sets around the country.

It is a Friday afternoon when they happen to meet in the office as it’s clearing out for the weekend.

Her face looks slightly different than it did a month ago—a little thinner, a little hollower. Her hair is slightly longer and her eyes are darker blue. If he didn’t know her so well, if he didn’t know how much her eyes changed with her emotions, he’d think she was wearing color-correcting contact lenses.

She looks spooked when she sees him.

“Oh, hi,” she stutters out.

He grimaces slightly. The last time they were in touching distance of each other, he was on the verge of making her come on his tongue.

“How are you doing?” he asks kindly. He knows he still owes her an apology.

She nods and he watches as she swallows thickly. “I’m fine,” she says naturally. She doesn’t ask after him, but it’s just as well.

He dips his head low. “Scully, look, can we talk for a minute—”

“It’s fine,” she says brusquely, shaking her head as her cheeks take on color. “Let’s just forget it.”

He studies her carefully for a moment, watching the way her hands tremble as she tucks a piece of hair behind her ear. He dips his head lower to hers. “I—I don’t know if I want to.”

At that, her head whips up. “Mulder,” she whispers angrily. “Please. Just drop it.”

But he has to do something. He hasn’t seen nor spoken to her in weeks and she’s all that he can properly think about. “Can I—will you let me at least buy you a drink?”

Off her dark look, he switches gears. “Or a coffee? I know it’s late, but let me order you a decaf.” Anything. Anything to make you look me in the eyes and address this thing between us.

After a long heaving sigh, she nods, pressing her lips together firmly. “Give me five minutes.”

He twiddles his thumbs as she packs up files for the weekend in her large briefcase, and at five minutes, she’s still dallying by the desk. Figuring this Navy captain’s daughter has had long enough to pack up, he stands with a huff and seizes her arm.

She looks appalled by the contact but he shakes his head exasperatedly. “I know you’re stalling,” he mumbles as he drags her towards the elevator.

She shakes him off as they stumble inside and the elevator seems to close in around them. They walk in silence to the nearest coffee shop a block away, and he orders for Scully while she chooses a seat at the back of the room.

When he brings over two steaming hot cups and a muffin, a very small smile ticks up on her lips.

He pushes her mug close to her and watches as her lips close over the ceramic edge, blowing cool air across the steam.

Finally, after a fortifying sip, she meets his eyes. “What do you want, Mulder?” she asks. Direct and to-the-point. He’d expect nothing less.

He fidgets and leans over the table on his elbows. “I want to know why you kicked me out midway to orgasm.”

She holds his gaze even as red colors her cheeks and the tips of her ears. Scully always has been a beautiful blusher. “I am seeing someone,” she explains primly.

He glances to the side in frustration. “Break up with him,” he jibes easily.

She glowers. “I can’t just do that—”

“Why not? I want this, you want this.”

She seems stunned into silence. “You want this?” she asks in disbelief.

He leans even closer, thumbing her wrist gently. “What part of me putting my mouth on your you-know-what led you to doubt that?” Wasn’t that the whole point? Showing her he wanted her too?

“Jesus Christ, Mulder,” she hisses, flinging nervous glances around the shop. It’s nearly empty as it closes in an hour.

“I’m being glib,” he admits with a heavy sigh, “but tell me what you’re doubting about this.”

“You didn’t seem to want it four months ago,” she sputters.

His eyebrows fly to his hairline. “Four months ago? You mean when you were so drunk you could hardly walk straight?”

She colors even further and refuses to meet his eyes.

“Scully,” he says, tapping at her hand to get her attention. When she won’t look up, he sighs. “Dana.”

That gets her attention. She looks up at him, wide-eyed and distrustful.

“I was never going to do that with you when you weren’t in your right mind. You know that,” he says. “But it was never about want, Jesus Christ. It wasn’t a lack of wanting that dictated what I did that night.”

Her mouth opens and closes as if in shock. “That doesn’t change the fact that I’m in a relationship,” she hums nervously.

Frustrated, he rakes a hand through his hair. “You have the power to change that, you know.”

Nervously, she brings the cup to her lips and takes another sip. It seems to steady something inside her. She shakes her head. “It’s not that easy,” she explains quietly.

He furrows his brow. “Well, fill me in, Scully.”

She swipes a tongue across her lower lip. “He loves me.”

He reclines back in his seat, his ears turning hot. “So that’s how it works, huh? A man knows you for a few months, proclaims he loves you, and you’re settled?”

Anger seems to escape her. “There’s a little more nuance to it than that, but yes, that is basically how it works for me, Mulder.”

“But I—but I thought—”

“You thought once you seduced me, I’d be all yours?” she snaps angrily. “That once you showed a little bit of interest, I’d fall at your feet?”

He opens his mouth to speak. “I guess that was part of my calculation, yes. Listen, Scully, I didn’t really think about it much, I just—” He moves closer. “I want you so bad.”

To his confusion, tears form in her eyes. He shakes his head, not understanding. Wasn’t that what she wanted to hear? Does she not want him anymore? Is that what’s going on? She stands, snatching her purse.

“Thanks for the coffee,” she whispers through her tears.

He’s grabbing at her hand to tug her back to him but she runs out before he can catch her.

It occurs to him as he’s walking back to the Hoover building that he didn’t even think to tell her how much he loves her.

So uh I saw a post about ShadowClan have like mushroom related names and out of curiosity I decided to look up what kind of mushrooms can be found in England and like.

Would the cats have that many names for all of these species of mushrooms so that all of these names can work? Probably not. Are all of these mushrooms capable of being found in the same general area that the Clans live in? Probably not. But do we really care? Especially when you can have names like Beefsteakpaw or Georgestar?

Honestly I LOVE the idea of breaking up Mush/shroom into a prefix and a suffix, and I've considered using -cap as a suffix. I also have actually used Morel, Button, and Truffle for OCs (Plus Reishi, which I've found growing where I live so I allowed it for a FanClan set locally)

Personally I just filter out plants/fungi that have human names and stories attached to them, because I LOVE warriors-ifying stuff like that. Queen Anne's Lace, for example? I'd adapt the story into being about the first Warrior to discover weaving. They who worked their pads to cracks, leaving a little drop of blood in the center of the flower.

So there wouldn't be a Queenpaw or an Annepaw, but the plant would be called Snowheart's Lace and any cat named Lacepaw would know the story by heart.

Plus, I just have a softness for ShadowClan. I'd love for them to have all these amazing stories for their apprentices. I wonder what they'd think of Rusty, if he joined ShadowClan? They could have named him Rustpaw after rustgill mushrooms! It could have been taken as a good sign.

Summary:

Fluff, Scarlett X Y/N

You've been working with Scarlett on the set of Black Widow and have slowly started to develop feelings for her.

For the purpose of this: Colin doesn't exist, but he's a lovely guy, love you Colin <3

Y/N sat in her chair eating a small sandwich, staring at Scarlett who was getting her makeup patched up by the makeup team. They were so talented, somehow gracefully yet carefully dabbing Scarlett's rosey cheeks with the blusher and re-applying the eye makeup. Y/N watched in awe.

Scarlett caught Y/N staring and winked before moving back over to Cate, who had been directing to go over some final points before the shoot. Y/N looked down and blushed. Scarlett was so attractive, but she was sure she was straight, she always fell for the straight ones.

She sighed and put the remainder of the sandwich back into the blue sandwich bag before getting up and striding over to Scarlett and Cate confidently. "right" started Cate, "Y/N and Scarlett I need you two on those marks over there, you start off running towards the edge of the green screen here and then jump over here." she indicated with her left hand.

Both the women nodded, taking in everything Cate was saying. She was a very talented director and Y/N felt absolutely honoured to be able to work with not only Scarlett but Cate as well.

After Cate finished, the duo got into position, ready to sprint at high speed towards the other end of the set.

"Right Y/LN, why not make this interesting.." Scarlett started. Y/N looked up, intrigued by the proposal. "you beat me to the end, and i'll take you for a meal out, on me. I beat you, and you have to do whatever I say for a week, that means bringing me coffee on set, giving me a foot massage, pre chewing my food if i so desire!" she joked.

Y/N pretended to consider this carefully. In her eyes, she won either way, spending time with Scarlett outside of work made her heart soar with just the idea.

"You have a deal Johansson" Y/N replied, shaking the older actresses hand. Scarlett smirked before dropping the shake, getting ready.

"annddd.. action!" Cate yelled from behind the camera. The two women sprinted at high speed towards the other end of the set, totally forgetting that they were meant to be acting right now. Scarlett took an early lead which caused Y/N to panic slightly. Though both outcomes were good, the dinner with Scarlett was more favourable as she'd be able to spend time with her outside of work hours.

Before Y/N could think any further into this, Scarlett suddenly tripped and fell. Without a second thought, Y/N caught up to her and jogged to her side, bending down between her legs to check in.

"Are you okay?" Y/N asked, her arm reaching out to help Scarlett up.

"Yeh im fine, i'll get a nice big bruise tomorrow morning though shit." Scarlett replied with a light chuckle.

Without thinking Y/N placed her arm lightly over Scarlett's shoulders to hug her in and help her up. At some point, Cate must have yelled cut as she was now over with the pair.

"You two are insane you know that? take the rest of the day out, gives us a chance to finish up some scenes with David" she stated. The two women nodded and Y/N aided Scarlett back to her trailer, her hand remaining either around Scarlett's shoulders or around her waist to support her.

Scarlett didn't push her away, nor did she protest at the sudden touch of her co-star. Y/N was lovely to have around and she felt oddly comfortable in the young woman's presence.

"You were a child actor..." Y/N wondered allowed.

"Yeh i was!" Scarlett replied with a smile as they made it into the trailer.

"What was it like being so young and having to do stuff like this" Y/N indicated with her hands to the trailer that was filled with makeups bags.

"To be honest, i can't really remember.. ow" Scarlett replies as she sat down to take a proper look at her injuries. Y/N jumps as Scarlett winces, grabbing onto her arm once more to help her into a chair.

"Thank you, but you really don't have to, i'm sure it's fine" Scarlett responded.

"i want to." Y/N confirmed as she grabbed a first aid kit from one of the top shelves.

Scarlett took off the red wig and let her blonde hair free.

"Black widow should be blonde" Y/N chuckled as she watched Scarlett breathe a sigh as she released her natural hair.

"Agreed, she was in infinity war but we're back to the red now!" she complains.

Y/N chuckled as she got on her knees to take a look at Scarlett's leg. "You really don't have to do that, if it's that bad i could just go to the on site medic-" Scarlett trailed off.

"No!" Y/N replied all too quickly. her feelings obstructing her brain for a moment. "i-i mean it's fine, i'm here already and i know what to do" Y/N rationalised.

Scarlett laughed at the enthusiasm, secretly glad that it was Y/N and not someone else.

"Need me to take off the suit?" Scarlett wondered allowed.

"Yes please, i need a better look than this." Y/N replied as she got up to leave the trailer to give the older woman some privacy.

"Where are you going?" Scarlett wondered aloud before she could stop herself.

"Oh uhm.. i can stay if you want?" Y/N replied as she returned to the other woman.

"Yes please" Scarlett smiled as she shimmied out the suit.

Y/N blushed and averted her eyes, deciding that the flowers on Scarlett's desk were suddenly the most interesting thing in this room.

When Y/N returned her gaze, after many demands from Scarlett, she found the other woman wearing a simple long white tee, down to her knees.

"so you can see better" Scarlett replied, as if reading Y/N mind.

Y/N couldn't form words at the woman infront of her and simply got down on her knees once again to aid the older woman.

There was a small cut, which Y/N cleaned and plastered before moving her focus to the larger graze down the side of Scarlett's thigh.

"May i?" Y/N asked as she held up some antiseptic cream.

"of course" Scarlett said as she lifted the top a little to give better access.

Y/N's brain was going 100 miles an hour, she was gently rubbing cream into Scarlett Johanssons thigh!

Once she was done she got up and turned away from the older woman, embarrassed at her red cheeks.

"Thank you" Scarlett replied before standing up to give Y/N a small hug.

Her arms wrapped around Y/N's waist which shocked her a little. When she was finally able to process and respond, she placed her arms around over the top of Scarlett to embrace her tightly.

Scarlett pulled back first, but hovered for a moment, staring at Y/N's eyes, then lips, then back to her eyes.

"You have wonderful eyes" she spoke her thoughts as they came.

"you too" was all Y/N could say.

Scarlett began to lean in to kiss Y/N but instead stopped inches away, moving swiftly to kiss her cheek instead.

"Maybe once you let me take you out for dinner" she teased as she winked and walked to the other side of the trailer to grab some trousers.

Y/N stood there frozen for a moment before shaking her head and grinning.

"Are you asking me on a date Ms Johansson?" Y/N chuckled.

"Why yes of course!" Scarlett replied as she grabbed her stuff and walked past the younger woman. "fuck it.." she whispered as she reached the level with Y/N

Her stuff fell to the floor as she jumped into Y/N, capturing her lips with her own. Y/N froze yet again, but soon took her lips in between hers and began to kiss her softly. Scarlett pulled away after a few seconds and kissed Y/N's cheek before picking up her stuff yet again.

"Tomorrow night at 7." she said before walking out the door.

"Tomorrow at 7..." Y/N whispered to herself more than anyone else.

Sorry this took me so long, it's been a hectic af month, but I'm taking some much needed time off from work this week, so here he is!

There's two version of him, one with his werewolf form, and one without to avoid any catastrophes for those of you who don't own Supernatural. Now, I cannot guarantee his werewolf form won't bug out, if you choose that version keep in mind the werewolf forms in general are buggy as hell, I can't help that EA won't fix their own games.

This preview was captured with my HQ mod in, and my NINTIESMOVIES Reshade, so detail and coloring will vary depending on your own setup. He's also dressed in all BG clothing, except his outerwear category that, of course, uses SEASONS assets.

My sliders are set to x3 in Master Controller's Integration settings.

INSTALLATION

Open the "SIM" folder, and drop what's inside into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > SavedSims folder.

Meet Theo

I know nobody cares that much BUT shamelessly introducing my MC cause all I seem to do is drop her name with no context, but I'm getting attached to her, so here's some background + indulgent doodles in case anyone is curious:

NAME: THEODORA DEVLIN NICK NAMES: THEO (Preferred), THEE (If you're feeling affectionate)

Birthday: February 25th

Patronus: Falcon

House: Hufflepuff

Wand Type: Sycamore, Dragon Heartstring - 10 Inches.

Quidditch Position: Chaser

Familiar: Owl, Hewin.

Physical Traits: Gray Eyes, with wavy/unruly auburn hair that sometimes looks like the deep dark brownish reds of fall - or at times brighter shades of copper depending on the light. Fuller upper lip, usually smirking or with brows pulled into concentration. Also big time blusher - which Seb loves to tease her about.

Personality Traits: Theo has a built sense of pragmatism that developed in her childhood due to hard choices she had to make, and fears she had to overcome. While typically strategic about approaching a situation, she is still mostly willing to try anything once just to do it.

Fiercely loyal, and slightly reckless, she will often be filling up time trying to help others that, before she realizes it, her nights usually blend into the early morning hours. Once she has time for hobbies at the end of they day - it usually involves solving a good puzzle, or reading about ancient tales while curled up with Highwing.

Despite having all the selflessness and hope of a Hufflepuff, Theo finds herself conflicted and slightly attracted to the darker parts of herself ....while also always trying to constantly do more for others to hide that part of her. Because of the truth of her darker self, she finds a strong friendship with Ominis Gaunt and Sebastian Sallow who seem to be able to relate to her trauma.

While she is influenced by the cunning and wit of her Slytherin friends, the boys tend to become more self deprecating, which will wind up with Theo using her emotional support Hufflepuff tendencies to bring them back up, and remind them to hope. She can't stand those who are unjust to others, and also has a great fear of loosing those she becomes close to again - so she will protect just them fiercely, which will lead her into a little bit of a frenzy. A trait that is apparent and contributed to her impressive duelling reputation as school champion - a title Sebastian warns her he is coming back for soon.

While she spends her emotional capacity mostly on others, she has been ignoring a few internal battles of her own that she stubbornly refuses to acknowledge.

Backstory:

Theo was born to David and Evelyn Devlin, both muggles.

As a child, she was happy and trusting - always running barefoot, rescuing rabbits, or constantly asking questions to all those she came across

Her mother was a librarian, while her father was an archeologist, which was partly why she was instilled with so much curiosity even at a young age.

Because of their professions, neither Mr. or Mrs. Devlin believed much in the propriety of the age, constantly letting Theo run in the woods or traveling together while her father was on site digs.

During one excavation in particular, her parents come across Miriam and Fig. Two seemingly ordinary historians that approached her father about the history of the area, and if they had stumbled across any artifacts made of ancient metal.

As it turns out, they had. After stumbling upon an odd looking relic, the camp is attacked in the night. Theo is woken by fire, and shouting. She rushes to find her parents tent, only to find that they have been murdered, and the relic gone.

Theo responds in panic, ancient magic surging through her for the first time. The attackers are all immediately killed, and Theo is left alone and shaking, not having known she was magic - much less capable of murdering everyone in a two mile radius from her.

Fig and Miriam rush back, hearing the commotion and find her there, clutching to her parents bodies, covered in blood. From that day forth, Theo finds herself plagued by nightmares of blood - unable to handle looking at even a cut on her skin.

They do all they can for her, take her in and explain everything.

They explain to her about the ancient magic, the wizarding world - everything. But it's too late for her to be in awe of it because she blames herself for drawing these people to her parents, and for their deaths. And Fig himself will blame himself for the loss of her parents for many, many years.

Over the next few years as she lives with her aunt, Fig decides to keep in contact with her, keeping the hope of magic alive and visiting her often, and she slowly decides to become more curious about the good possibilities of magic, and the world it exists in.

As he teaches her the wonder of it all, she comes to see him as a father figure, and also eventually is able to find the hope and curiosity at the possibility in such a world - where perhaps she can harness her powers for good, instead of destruction. If there's anyway she can redeem herself, and use it to constantly do good and help others - maybe she can eventually forgive herself.

After years of pressing from Fig, and though she has missed years of schoolwork, she eventually agrees to go with him to Hogwarts, where the journey begins in her fifth year.

cats & dogs - the head and the heart my roots have grown but i don't know where they are

the thing about being in the navy for a living is that you develop a very strange sense of place. your home is ever-shifting, cross-continental, spanning oceans and mountains and deserts. logan hasn't lived in the same place for more than two years since he was a kid.

he's built for this kind of life, though. he spent the first three years of his life in korea before his family moved to seattle, and then five years there before they settled in chicago. sometimes, he'll look at a photo of when he was a baby, curled up with his mom's arms in his grandparent's house, and feel a deep sense of longing that he can't place. like he's yearning for a place he's never even truly known, a place that doesn't exist.

brigham has a harder time adjusted. his pilot grew up in newton, massachusetts, then went to college less than 20 minutes away. he's always known exactly where he's from, exactly where home is. generations of lennox's all from the same place, roots deep in the fabric of the town. logan's sometimes jealous of that, that brigham can point at a house in his home town and say his grand-grandmother was born there. logan's never had that, doesn't have those kinds of ties to anything.

"how are you so okay with this?" brigham asks on night, when they're packing for yet another reassignment. japan, this time. maybe logan can visit his grandmother.

logan shrugs. "what do you mean?"

"moving all the time," brigham grumbles, tossing his endless supply of white t-shirts into a suitcase. "i feel like we don't have a home anywhere."

logan pauses his careful folding on his jeans, contemplating how to respond. "i guess i've never really viewed home as a place. it's easy to leave if that's not where your roots are."

"then what's home? where are your roots?" brigham says the last word with a teasing lilt, tugging at logan by the belt loops on his pants.

logan follows, dropping his jeans on the bed and settling into brigham's hold. "i guess home's a feeling more than a place. like when i'm with you, that's home."

brigham blushes, a scarlet red flushing down his cheeks and into the deep v of his shirt. he's always been a blusher; logan used to rile him up when they first met just to see his delicate skin flush that beautiful color. brigham shifts under the attention, resting his head in the crook of logan's neck.

"you're such a sap," he mumbles into logan's skin, the action tickling logan. "you saying your roots are in me?"

logan snorts. "yeah, something like that." he wraps his arms around brigham, running a hand up and down his back. "just, wherever you are. that's home."
