So I don't engage with fandom on twitter, haven't for three years now

So I'm totally out of the loop with how people organise events and stuff

And even if I was, no fandom I'm in really has those events

It's so impressive seeing how people in the bnha fandom organise zines and bangs and exchanges. They are all so slick with it, and they have discords and man.

I remember when participating in a bang meant you spoke to your artist maybe once over the entire creative period.

And deffo never spoke to other writers in an organised sense.

Look, I'm always mournful for what we lost in the livejournal era of fandom. But man, nowadays people are on the top of their game when it comes to organising events.

Big fandoms are wild though. Even though I'd say that critical role is my main fandom nowadays, and it's ginormous, it doesn't feel like the big fandoms of old.

The medium of media isn't like a show or movie or comic. It lends itself to spectacular fan art, but still.

Idk. I'm not going back to twitter for anything, even if it wasn't on fire, twitter fandom experience made me crazy and sad.

But I guess I'm envious??? Who knows.
