MHA Boys: SHINSO, BAKUGO, SHOTO, and TOKOYAMI
Their Favorite Thing You Do
SHINSO
He loves it when you play with his hands. If you two are lying in bed, sitting next to each other, or walking next to each other and you grab his hand and draw patterns on it or fidget with it, he will not be able to pay attention to anything else. Whatever you are doing with his hand has his full undivided attention.
BAKUGO
He loves it when you play with his hair. He'll let you style it when he's in a good mood. If you make silly hairstyles with it he'll act pissed but just know that he likes it when you laugh about it, he may still think it's a bit annoying to put it back how he likes it.
SHOTO
He loves it when you drive. Especially when you put on music and sing to it. He has that heartbreaking smile every time he watches you drive and sing. He'll lean against the car door to get a good angle for him to take videos.
TOKOYAMI
He loves it when you play with his jewelry. His choker, bracelets, rings, chains, anything. He'll wear more of them just to see you play with them. If you ever get nervous he'll put a chain or his wrist with bracelets on in your hand so you can calm down by fidgeting with them.

Monoma: I'm gonna need a human skull, but you can't ask why.
Tokoyami: Only if you don't ask why.
Tokoyami: *pulls four pristine human skulls out of his bag* Choose one.
Monoma:...
Tokoyami:...
Monoma: This one will do.

I posted this question on twitter months ago.
If monoma copied tokoyami's quirk, would it look like tokoyami's dark shadow? Or his own dark shadow?

Hawks: Now remember - it's not a crime if you don't get caught!
Tokoyami: ...I thought you were training me to become a hero.
Hawks: It's 5pm and we're off the clock - and I'm training you on how to get free snacks. Now grab more Costco free samples and make a run for it!
Costco Employee: Hey! Only one per customer!
Hawks: RUN TOKOYAMI!!
Tokoyami: *Grabs as many crab rangoons as he can fit in his hoodie pocket and books it.*
Dark Shadow: *screaming*

Birdie Nest
Tokoyami x reader
MHA/BNHA Mainlist
Mainlist
Tokoyami is… an odd little man. Being a bird hybrid, of sorts, he had a lot of bird habits. Specifically habits of corvids. His room is filled with small shiny things and a few dozen gifts. Whether it was to people or from people, you weren’t quite sure; but it was sweet.
A make-shift nest sat in the center of the room, dozens of pillows and blankets and other plush things were arranged in a circle, slowly becoming smaller and smaller towards the middle. Transforming into a comfortable shell of sorts, and you sat in the center of it all. Wrapped up in the blankets and held by the pillows. Tokoyami was there too, his face buried in your stomach as you gently preened his feathers for him. “Such a pretty boy,” you’d praise, never failing to make his feather puff up as you did. “Such a pretty bird,” you purred out, making a content noise come from him. You loved this time of the year, when Tokoyami was all sorts of affectionate.
“I love you…”
He’d mutter.
“I love you too Pretty baby…”

You Interrupt Their Training My Hero Academia
Tumblr media
Kirishima Eijiro
It was late, and he wasn't supposed to be out of the dorms anyway. You couldn't help but watch him from your dorm balcony, scowling at the time. Mr. Aizawa would be upset if he caught your red-headed friend outside beating himself senseless with training.
"Kiri!" You called down quietly, "Kirishima, get yourself inside before Aizawa sees you!"
Your voice startled him, making him look around slightly before catching you on your railing. Kirishima waved, his usual smile in place, "I should be good out here, though, right? Aizawa never looks out back?"
"He does, you moron!" You hissed, "How do you think Bakugo got caught?"
Kirishima laughed, "Fair enough! I'm coming in."
He didn't mind you watching him working with Dark Shadow, the only problem was that you had to hide or Dark Shadow was distracted. The entity loved you almost more than Tokoyami did, and it was annoying when the boy was trying to perfect this skill or that.
Tokoyami Fumikage
But that meant that Tokoyami also didn't know where you were, or if you were even watching him. He always hoped you were, only to be thrilled when you would appear out of nowhere and compliment some of the moves and giving suggestions for others. Your input mattered to him almost the same amount Mr. Aizawa's did.
Yet, today wouldn't be as simple as the others. You caught both their attentions when you stumbled over a stack of something hidden behind the gym bleachers. Dark Shadow was quick to latch onto you, ruining Tokoyami's plans to train for the next hour.
"Sorry, Yami..." You smiled sheepishly as Dark Shadow dragged you closer.
He groaned, "It's fine...couldn't concentrate anyway..."
Hawks/Keigo Takami
It wasn't enough. He wasn't fast enough. Keigo tucked his wings in closer, diving until he nearly hit the roof, opening them and dragging himself back up.
"Six point fourteen seconds!" You called out, your flight suit tied around your waist. You'd been on the roof for hours with nothing to block the sun from beating down on you. Keigo landed angrily, his heel steadying him, "Shit! Six seconds!? You're kidding!"
"No, sir. It's the lower end of six seconds." You grinned, showing him the stop watch. He growled, plopping down on the roof like a child who'd just been told no. It made you laugh, "What's the big deal? That's faster than even All Might!"
"Not fast enough for me." He whined, laying back and stacking his feathers in a separate pile.
You thought for a moment. "What if..."
Keigo sat up, "What if?"
His eyes widened as you smiled and fell backwards off the rooftop. "Y/n! Shit!"
You clicked the stopwatch when you saw him dive over the side, starting another immediately.
It was funny to you, seeing the fear on his face. Some heroes still had fear, you guessed. But, damn, if this is what flying felt like, you could get used to it. The wind blowing your hair around, feeling weightless. You even forgot about the danger of the sidewalk coming closer, and closer, and closer.
Click. You pressed the button the second you stopped falling, becoming lightheaded at the sudden change of direction. "Point four seconds for response time! Six point nine seconds for rescue time!" You had to yell over the air around you, "Total of six point thirteen seconds!"
"Shut up! I'm done doing this with you!" Keigo glared.
Mina Ashido
She was focused, in her zone, ready to melt the multiple targets that Yaoyorozu had made for her. But, right as she went to throw a handful of acid, you busted through the door into the small room.
"Mina!" You yelled, clearly being overdramatic about something, "Mina, help me!"
She nearly jumped right out of her skin. Why had you busted in like that when you knew she was training? "What? What is it?" Mina forgot all about the targets. You threw yourself at her feet, "I superglued my fingers together! You have to help me!"
Mina laughed so hard she fell backwards. The tears in your eyes made it all the more hilarious. It was superglue, after all, and would come off with a lot of really hot water.
"C'mon, I know where a sink or two is!"

Tokoyami has always admired Hawks' generosity. He thought maybe it was natural for him since he was a hero, but after seeing him donate more than half of his earnings, Tokoyami began to wonder what made him so generous.
“Where are we going?” Tokoyami asked as he trailed behind Hawks.
“To an orphanage. It’s where I used to spend my free time,” Hawks answers. Tokoyami nods and looks at the boxes behind them.
“I can help you carry them,” Tokoyami offers, but Hawks shakes his head, “my feathers are enough to lift them. Besides, you’ll need your hands when we arrive.”
A fond smile graced Hawks’ lips as he spoke. Tokoyami didn’t understand the meaning of Hawks’ words until they arrived.
The children rushed toward them after the adoption counselor announced their arrival. They flocked toward Hawks.
“Hey, now,” Hawks says, “gather yourselves. I have someone I want to introduce.”
Tokoyami silently walks towards Hawks and stands beside him.
“This is my intern, Tokoyami. Be kind to him, okay?” Hawks says. The children nodded and collectively began to ask him questions.
“What quirk do you have?”
“How old are you?”
“Can you show us your quirk?”
Those were some questions the children asked. Tokoyami looks at Hawks, silently asking if he could. Hawks give him a slight nod and lift both his fists to show encouragement. Tokoyami sighs and entertains the children while Hawks talk to the people in charge.
They spent the day playing with the children. That day, Tokoyami saw a different side of Hawks. For once, he saw his mentor act his age. He’s used to seeing Hawks be mature, responsible, and solemn. But in the closed space of an orphanage on the far side of the country, he witnessed Hawks being playful and childish, most importantly, happy.
The smile plastered on Hawks’ face that day was far more genuine than the one he constantly wore when working. Tokoyami considers it an honor to see Hawks smiling that brightly. He captures the smile and records the laughter to keep in his heart and memory.
“You seem happy today,” Tokoyami says on their way to Fukuoka.
“I’m always happy,” Hawks smiles at him.
Tokoyami opens his mouth to retort to the statement but decides against it. Instead, he asks, “why do you give the orphanage more than they need? You don’t even have enough furniture in your apartment.”
Hawks hums, “what do you want to hear? The truth? Or a lie?”
Tokoyami rolls his eyes, “I can’t believe you’re asking me that. The truth, of course.”
“But I don’t want you to pity me,” Hawks playfully says as he wraps his arm around Tokoyami’s shoulder. He pulls Tokoyami inside a restaurant and orders them a meal.
“I won’t. I promise,” Tokoyami says, making Hawks shake his head, “don’t make promises without even hearing the details. That’s a bad habit.”
“I need your answer to my question, not a lecture.”
Hawks grabs his chest in faux pain, “I didn’t know you could be this harsh to your mentor.”
“Stop stalling,” Tokoyami says, impatient.
Hawks chuckles, “I guess there’s no escaping this conversation,” he whispers and takes a sip of water.
“Well, I grew up in poverty. It was a luxury for me to get proper nutrition, much less a toy.” Hawks start. He glances at Tokoyami, gauging his reaction before continuing, “I remember my mother getting beat for buying me an Endeavor plushie on sale. It wasn’t much, but my mother still suffered the consequences of fulfilling my wants.”
Tokoyami fists his hands, ‘what a horrible father,’ he thinks.
“I grew up in a run-down house. The rain would seep through the roof, and I’d have to find a way to collect them. It was a poor attempt at stopping the house from flooding, but no matter how much effort I put in, it still flooded.” A sad smile appears on Hawks’ lips as he recounts his childhood, “At winter, I’d bear the cold. I only had a few pieces of thin clothing, so I had to find a way to keep warm. I’d curl in a corner and imagine a warm fireplace. If lucky, I’ll collect dry leaves and sticks, then light them on fire.”
Hawks chuckles as he remembers his struggle with lighting a fire. But the look on Tokoyami’s face makes him stop, “do you want me to continue?”
Tokoyami shook his head. He couldn’t handle hearing the stories Hawks shared. It was both painful, pitying, and infuriating.
“This is why I told you not to promise me anything before,” Hawks says. He pats Tokoyami’s head. “You’re horrible at hiding your emotions, you know?”
Tokoyami looks away, “I’m sorry.”
“There’s no need to apologize,” Hawks says.
Silence envelops them as Tokoyami takes in Hawks’ story. The food arrived, and they quietly ate until Hawks broke the silence.
“I give everything I have to that orphanage because they remind me of my younger self. Those children came from poverty and abuse. Since they’re far from the city, they don’t receive much funding.” Hawks says. Tokoyami remains silent as he lets Hawks talk. “Do you know what kept me going when I was young?”
Tokoyami shook his head, “what?”
“The Endeavor plushie. It was my light of hope, and I wanted to be that to those children. The first time I went there, their eyes seemed dead and hopeless. I didn’t like seeing that. That’s when I decided to do my best to support them.” Hawks says and proudly smiles as he continues. “Now, did you see how bright their eyes were?”
Tokoyami nodded with a smile, “they were the brightest smile I’ve ever seen.”
“Even the smallest action can bring the biggest changes,” Hawks says, “the money I spent on that orphanage is small considered to the joy they bring. The money, I can earn it again, but who knows what would have happened if I didn’t support them.”
Tokoyami’s smile grows brighter, “I’m glad I’m under your wing,” he whispers shyly.
Hawks laughs, “why are you suddenly shy?”
“I’ll make sure to continue what you started,” Tokoyami says, “I want to be other people’s hope too.”
The determination warms Hawks’ heart, “I can’t wait to see what kind of hero you’ll be in the future.” He then teases Tokoyami to lighten the mood before flying him home.

Tokoyami: Do you think you’d actually notice if someone didn’t cast a shadow? Or if their limbs were just slightly too long? Or if they had just a little too many teeth? Like how many times have you passed something on the street and you just didn’t notice it? Kaminari: Stay woke monsterfuckers your love is out there!!!!! Tokoyami: You know what? Not my point at all in any way whatsoever, but I’m glad I could be an inspiration.
