I'm the oldest of the band. I'm a bit of a self-proclaimed older sister to the others and I feel super protective of them. When I'm not making music with the band you can usually find me working on my comic or some other artistic pursuit. I'm a chronically exhausted college student. You can tell what songs I wrote by them having a more jazzy or melancholy tone to them or just being bat-shit off the walls insane. Some of my inspirations are MCR, Scene Queen, , Set It Off, and Demi Lovato (for some reason).

I’m that guy with the neon green hair in the blog’s pfp lol. pronouns are he/him, xe/xem/xyr, and it/its. I take a lot of influence from older punk rock and, surprisingly, country and folk music. my favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Oingo Boingo, They Might Be Giants, The Cure, Talking Heads, Bikini Kill, Shilpa Ray, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, The Magnetic Fields, The Daniel Pemberton TV Orchestra, Lemon Demon, Man or Astro-Man, Radiohead (not in a pretentious way, I swear), Will Wood, Creedence Clearwater Revival… oh boy, there’s a lot. I like music! I tend to disappear at unpredictable intervals due to chronic pain/fatigue and parental restrictions, but I always come back. I like writing songs about things I’m passionate about, which is often personal, sometimes political, and every now and then a ballad about freaky-looking deep sea creatures. or weevils. I keep my dad’s old stenobook by my bedside to write lyrics in - he wrote lyrics for the Panama City punk bands he was in in 1990-ish in there, and I figured I could put it to good use again after all these years. he’s cool with it. see you around, and stay safe out there 🪲

idk if you have mentioned this before but do you have any voiceclaims for your OCs and canon characters?

First of all thank you it's one of my favorite Muddler drawings that I made!!
Hmmm voice claims... I have a few.
The thing tho, sort of, is sometimes my mental voice for some of them have a specific accent I don't think a voice actor would be able to replicate easily, like Moominmamma having a swedish accent with bits of south-eastern British she picked up from Moominpappa and his old friends, or Fuzzy having a danish accent faded with northern American or Inspector having a cockney accent with Finnish sprinkled in. Most of them are THAT kind of specific. But if I had to go just by the sound of their voices...
One voice claim I have down is Alasdair Stuart (the voice actor of Peter Lukas from the Magnus Archives) for Hodgkins, maybe he'd go a smidge deeper and gruffer than his Lukas voice but that's the gist of my voice for him.
Cosmo Sheldrake as the Joxter, particularly inspired by his cover of Green Grass, though I imagine years of casual smoking would've taken a little toll on his vocal chords.
I've associated alot of Eleisha Eagle songs with the Fuzzy and I can't separate her voice from her at this point, so she might be her voiceclaim.
Joey Batey as Hodgkins' lost brother, almost certainly, you might know Batey as the bard from the Witcher but I mostly know him from the band the Amazing Devil.
I've listened to quite a bit of S.J. Tucker and she's honestly quite the voice actress if you've listened to her story readings along with her songs, I've imagined her as my OC Iris, who is Hodgkins' mother.
Christine Ebersole... If she could do an actual posh British accent then she would be Aunt Jane for me, hands down. But either of the Mary Poppins actresses also does it for me when it comes to Jane.
I've flip-flopped a bit for the Fuddler's (as in, the one from the comics) voice actor, I'm stuck somewhere between Brain David Gilbert or Louie Zong, I think it's very vibe-dependant.
I listened to the Freaks by the Tiger Lillies a bit and went "Mhm yep that's Stinky right there" (I don't recommend listening to the whole song because goodness it's uhhhh graphic, unless you're into that. But if you wanna hear the voice without all that I recommend just looking up the animation meme for it). I think the singer was by the name of Martyn Jacques but I'm not 100% sure.
I think that's most of them for the ones with particular voices.... The rest are specific ideas I can only describe without naming a certain actor.

Btw this is what i was doing in the live!! working on a comic for abit of lore :) | Since its mostly consists of furry ocs/non UT ill avoid posting alot of it here since i know that.. 8/10th of my followers are UTMV !!
All chars shown are my OCs!! They are not free to use as pfp, rp, or posted on forums.
For those who dont know;
Cinder is a self defence trainer. He specializes in helping people within the city he lives in protect themselves from harm; In this world there are villains, but extreme few hero's since.. The world isnt based on hero's/villains. Its based on the organic right and wrongs but with more volume added to what they do. He is one of few "hero's" called Champions, they are forms of deities who were mistreated in a past life and their lives ended briefly for the gain of vein people as sacrifices, therefore given a life as an immortal until killed. He is one of the final few who can be seen. Served to mainly protect, the place Cinder works at trains those protect themselves and others, and helps teach people that not everyone can be trusted, no, but everyone does deserve some form of mercy until proven otherwise.
However, not all students take their teaching to heart and use it for the greater good. Others just dont really care;
To explain the point of the training since its abit janky, Cinder's "school" holds a school to teach both students for typical lessons, but the training course is a type of optional add on, where people can sign up to participate and be chosen at some time within the school year to train.
If they decide to stay in the course they are allowed to move forward and continue until they graduate, the inspired source of this is My Hero, with a sprinkle of another Anime i enjoy called Tiger & Bunny, which is the main inspiration for Cinder's combat suit :)
The layout of the training course consists of a tiny village, few buildings both tall and small, surrounded by thick woods, all while the school itself is heavily protected by a unseen force. In this village also holds smaller training courses, like rocks to climb or throw, pits to both purposely fall in or hidden to accidently fall in, and more such as.... Atleast 100 "fake" Gutsy's to train with and use as people.

Chapter 25: Stranger
Here we are. This is the first chapter with more than 4 panels and it uses that prestige amazingly. Admittedly, it is only 5 panels and we still aren't fully out of the 4-panel era, but we're close.
For the first time since chapter 1 I'm gonna go panel by panel for this. Warning: text wall incoming.
The first panel is nothing special, Scoob had turned away from Shag at the end of last panel, so now he's turning back.
Second panel shows that both Shag and the whole door are just gone. I'll be talking about this more in several later chapters, but let's quickly touch on the holo chamber. So this place is holograms, but when we the holo chamber is later shown as this pretty square room, so all the hallways and doors, can you just walk through them? Are they the halls of the ship and the holo chamber can just affect the whole ship? But we also see Shag later throw a rock made by the holo chamber, so can it make solid stuff? That's OP. I think I'll save composing my full crackpot theory for a later chapter, but for now know it makes absolutely no sense.
The next panel is a little overshadowed by the last of this chapter, but is still really good. We see this new character, creeping in the shadows, but he's not just some amorphous silhouette. He is a character that even at this difference stands out. One doesn't have to squint to see he resembles Mickey Mouse, but he's not quite right. His limbs are far too long. On top of that even his text bubbles are different. The letters are all over the place elevation wise and there's even a word scrunched up on the side. This all makes it look very scribbly while still remaining legible. All of this builds this character to exceptionally eerie. If this chapter was just 4 panels and we just didn't get the 5th one, this panel alone would have made this chapter stand out as something unseen of by this same. (Also this is the panel where I got my mail blog pfp)
Panel 4 is just a reaction panel of Kerm and Scoob witnessing this newcomer.
This panel very well might be one of the most iconic of the whole comic, and for good reason. It's important to remember what the artstyle was like at this point. Lines were loose and sometimes wouldn't connect fully, and none of them have had harsh blacks.
And then we get this. He isn't a scribble, he's solid. He's shaded! He contrasts so so much with every single panel up to this point. And he has those full on dark blacks that make him look so much harsher, as well as making him blend in with the shadow.
And that's not even mentioning his design. The characters so far have been pretty standard caricatures of cartoon characters, but this... isn't Mickey Mouse. Like said earlier, his arms and legs are way to long, and he's covered in rips, he even has some sort of damage on his head. His eyes though are the most obvious evidence. He isn't Mickey, this is a moment in a suit. This raises questions like "who is this person" and "why the hell are they in a mickey mouse suit" I even saw people in the comments speculating that the person skinned Mickey and are wearing his skin. We know that isn't what's happening, but this is such a mysterious panel that it gets people wondering stuff like that.
On a separate note, I am not someone who reads this in all the characters voices in my head (with one exception) and I wonder what voice people who do give this guy, who for now I will call Pseudo-Mick to avoid spoilers. Which BTW, if you are for some reason reading this and HAVEN'T read Scoob and Shag at least to the end of the first arc, do that. Don't read any more posts from this blog until you do that.
Conclusion: If you read this series blind this is the chapter that makes you realize that this is more than just some goofy nonsense comic with cartoon characters. While we are not quite yet in the part of Scoob and Shag I would call "great" this is the first great chapter.

HA! yeah that's about right! I work in a VERY small library so it's relatively rare and thus still exciting.

I love this AU and I sadly do have to drop a few projects because my life is getting too cluttered and I'll never end up getting anything done

Hi! Sorry if this is weird because the theme is a bit older- but I'm using Sans Comic on a sideblog and I noticed that it keeps making my pfps very blurry/pixilated. I was just curious if you knew why this is/if it's intentional or if it's an issue with tumblr- thanks! It's a really cool theme btw
ah it might be because the theme displays profile pictures quite large, but the image itself is small due to tumblr's theme variable limits- it's my oversight. but no worries, i've updated the theme so you can upload a full-resolution version of the PFP to override the default display and stop it from looking pixellated! just reinstall the updated theme code and upload your PFP to the "High res avatar" option (all your other customizations will be preserved), and it should display better :-)

Since it's Tradition™ for artists to post an art progression/summary of their work after each year, I figured I'd start, yunno, doing that
cuz I'm also an artist, despite rarely posting anything
aggressively judging myself aside, I'll list the context behind all the art featured on this below a Keep Reading cut because most of these are literally just character doodles instead of, like, comics and pieces and stuff (hence why there's multiple things in most of the boxes; these are mostly finished works, btw, there's more sketches that I didn't finish in between all of these, but not many)
here's to hoping 2022 is a better year for all of us overall
January: I drew a few things in January, but the most notable of them were Sun's redesign and Note's redrawn ref sheet, which were much needed updates for the two ocs; as Sun's old design was basically unusable on an oc level and Note's ref sheet just really needed an update
February: By far the most impressive thing I drew in February that wasn't unfinished or for friends was my Puyo Style Experiment. It's not a 1:1 recreation of the style, but I like to think I got pretty close due to how similar my style is to it already
March: I ended up drawing quite a few things in March, but my favorites among them were my updated Tumblr banner, Reifylkan's ref sheet finally becoming a thing (with him debuting on this blog soon after), and Angora was created as the generic funny waifu oc that everyone has (don't lie to me, I know you have one, especially if you like anime to some degree) but for my tastes as the generic anime trope of Big Titty Minimum Clothing Waifu just isn't attractive to me
April: ngl, I didn't draw much in April, with the main ones being my funny "aye boys, we going on patrol?" meme with my ocs and Boyfriend FNF fanart cuz that game stole my attention for that month
May: Oddly enough, I drew even less in May, with the only "finished" one being the GoldicBruh emote that me and my friends have been using since. This box includes an all-digital sketch doodle of @rustmotherboard and @rhy_t_hmi 's Puyopunk Tee design that I never got around to finishing if you squint hard enough, heheh (idk, something about him just demanded I draw him, even if it's just a sketch that I never got around to finishing or posting)
June: Despite being Pride Month™ and my creation month, I didn't draw shit in June; the things I did draw being my current Tumblr pfp, the GoldicWhat emote, and a sketch of my sona and Sonic (the hedgehog himself) enjoying our favorite foods as a bday piece from me to myself (and sonic since his anniversary and my bday are so close together) that I never finished or posted
July: Completely ignoring the holidays, I drew One (1) thing in July, the GoldicStare emote (and it is one of the cutest things I have ever drawn)
August: Continuing this year's trend of Not Drawing Shit™, I drew two all-digital doodles in August: a three panel sketch comic I drew out of pure frustration at my own suffering at the hands of Fly-Bugs at the time (that I never posted on Tumblr, iirc) and my sona in the Yamcha Pose (rotated to fit in the box) as I had a particularly bad cramp during Monthly Suffering™ that month that made me feel like Yamcha after getting fucked rekt in one attack, hence that doodle's existence
September: As was the case in August, I drew two things in September: a doodle of an old pokemon oc that previously only existed in sprite form (hence the sprite and arrow in the box; I hate the hands on the doodle itself) and the GoldicSad emote, bringing the total emote count this year to 4
October: While I was picking up on doodling again despite my old phone not being in the... best condition, I drew two particularly important things, being Thrakkymor's Creator Goddess which is obviously my sona but shhh and a crumb of redesign for Goldic's human form. I felt her human form didn't really fit her anymore (despite it looking nothing like her other forms being the entire point) and decided to redesign it a bit to create better flow between her three forms and will become the default design for her human form when I finally write down my ocs' stories and Goldic finally decides "fuck it, I'm done hiding" in-universe
November: for the 4th month in a row, I drew only two things: Goldic's Human Form Redesign in full and that huge piece with my sona and Nucleon while listening to Juno's Pokémon Uranium cover on repeat for literal hours, letting the music possess me as I stacked layers on top of layers to create whatever the fuck resulted from it
December: I only drew a few things in December due to finally getting a new phone to calibrate and needing a couple of dentist appointments for fillings, with the only finished doodle so far being from a 2-3 page comic based on yet another meme that I haven't finished yet and obviously haven't posted yet because it's unfinished RIP Karma, he had a good second life while it lasted as he slowly freezes on the snow below him
