AvA/M Cast Redesign
Phew, well.. I DID IT I REDESIGNED EVERYONE! Time to present them all again, but this time with some more info, right?
Color Gang
Tumblr media
Green (He/him) - 17 y.o. | Let's say he's literally a perfectionist okay? Green is the one of a protective friend but can annoy his brother Red sometimes. His love of his life is Blue
Yellow (She/her) - 16 y.o. | A girl who knows everything about redstone, Minecraft commands and style. Has a twin sister Pinkie (Keep in mind that Pinkie is not a canon character. She's my AvM OC). Also Yellow has a partner Red
The Second Coming/TSC/Second/Orange (He/They) - 17 y.o. | A sleepyhead but somehow understands math and physics(unlike me ;v;). They're really overprotective over their friends and have their own powers but they're not aware of them(let's say AvA VI didn't happen yet). Chosen is Second's sister. Also Sec is in love with Purple
Blue (She/her) - 16 y.o. | Really knows her thing when it comes to brewing potions and gardening. Has bandages cuz AvM Ep. 20 events. Can get worried if anyone of the gang gets sick. Loves Green and his tunes
Red (He/him) - 15 y.o. | Apparently the youngest one of the group. He's a clumsy guy and also a prankster. Got possessed by Herobrine twice. Was in a timeout once cuz messed with Yellow's staff and the lucky block. Yellow is his girlfriend and Green is his brother. Oh and his pets are his friends
The Royal Duo + The Angelic Trio
Tumblr media
Purple (She/They) - 16 y.o. | A little shy but very nice girl. Considers MT as her older sister. Still has trust issues but is trying to fix it. Cherishes her dead mother Orchid and doesn't give a damn about her dad RB. Second is her boyfriend
MT/Mango Tango/Queen Orange (She/her) - 20 y.o. | A young adult who was a queen once just to destroy Minecraft cuz it took away her little brother Gold. Tries to move on from Gold's death and now considers Purple as her younger sis. She's on neutral terms with Color Gang. Her husband is actually an Enderman named Jacob (Tulip said that we can have our own Jacob so)
Gold (He/him) - 12 y.o. | A smol kid who is MT's brother and had unfortunately died from Minecraft. Observes his sister and spends his time with Orchid and Victim. Sometimes wishes he could hug MT one last time
Orchid (She/her) - 38 y.o./ | A caring woman who is also Purple's mother. Has no empathy for RB cuz he left her and Purple. Unfortunately died from an unknown disease and now observes her child from above
Victim (They/Them) - 25 y.o. | A guy who never experienced life for once. Tries to develop themselves and find their own personality and hobbies. Currently is friends with Orchid and Gold
RB, Alan and The AvA Duo
Tumblr media
RB (He/him) - 40 y.o. | A ex-husband of Orchid and ex-dad for Purple. Left cuz he thought his daughter was "pathetic and would never protect herself from any danger"
Alan (He/him) - 34 y.o. | The creator himself of the whole AvA/M community. Considers Chosen and Second as his kids, but also has a real life family
The Dark Lord/TDL/Dark (She/her) - 18 y.o. | The terrorist of the whole Internet herself and Alan is her creator. She was created to defeat Chosen but she teamed up with them and confronted Alan. Somehow survived Second's attack and now is trying to change. Has a girlfriend Chosen
The Chosen One/TCO/Chosen (She/They) - 19 y.o. | The Chosen One herself who just wants to live peacefully with Dark after all the trauma she endured. Saved a kid once and now friends with her. Is currently being wanted by Rocket Corporation. Dark is her girlfriend
The Rocket Corporation
Tumblr media
Hazard (He/They) - literally a robot- | A restored robot who can control electricity as his power. He's also a part of the mercenary team
Agent Smith (He/him) - 24 y.o. | The main mercenary of the corporation who can use any Adobe Animate tool. Has a small crush on Vic
Alive!Vic (They/them) - 25 y.o. | The first stick ever created by Alan that somehow came to life to get the revenge they so desperately want. They're a leader of a whole corporation and they hunt for Chosen cuz she knows where Alan is
Ballista (He/him) - 27 y.o. | The shortest mercenary of the team. He can turn his head into a tank and also adores his big pixel sword
Primal (She/her) - 28 y.o. | The tallest mercenary and the only woman in the team. Is good at archery and can get buff if needed

Top 3 aftg favorites overall (slight tsc spoilers):
1. Neil- he’s such an insane person from an outsider pov and the way he perceives things??? Like mans has like 3 priorities, Andrew, exy and the mafia. He’s so unhinged and he has so many issues and flaws and I LOVE HIMMM. He also just? Doesn’t shut up? And it gets him in so much trouble? Like bro would not be in bad situations 75% of the time if he just shut the fuck up? He’s so sassy? Demisexual king? icon
2. Jean- the sunshine court fucking destroyed me. He deserves the world 🥲🥲 I love how much he CARES and CARES about the people around him, caring for the ravens even though they hurt him, caring for Neil while watching the championship when riko was going to murder him, caring about cody when he barely knew them and asking “is Cody safe”. He just.. deserves everything.
3. Andrew- Andrew is a very complex character, he’s been through so much and healing better be in the cards for him because of the shit he’s put up with. All he really wants is to be loved, he just, wants to make sure none of his people never get hurt. And I respect the hell out of him for it. He needs all the hugs (when he’s ready)

Who are the mercenaries??
The mercenaries first appeared in AvA6, “Wanted”, before again in AvA6 (part 2), “The box”.
These fellas will appear much more looking at their personalities and of course screen time.
They’re obviously parallels to the color gang.
Hear me out !!
Ballista and Red are both passive fighters, first to attack, not defend.
Also are bold and a bit crazy-
Primal and blue use fighting range and are much more defensive. Even the potion effects are…
Tumblr media
 similar…
Yellow and Hazard..I’m not quite sure to be honest, they’re prepared and responsible..
Green and Agent are very similar to their ‘bosses’. And having some leadership skills.
…but
While victim and TSC are both leaders.. and how TSC uses weapons around him just like victim did in AvA1, making both of them resourceful…
I’d rather think they’re opposites.
TSC is out going, kind and is a literal child,
victim on the other hand is mysterious, anger-issued and definitely spiteful.
Alan saw that TSC was indeed, sentient..and so spared him.
While victim couldn’t do anything to prove he was alive, rather focused on destroying his tormentors computer…caused his deletion.
I definitely do want to see more if the mercenaries, and their skills. Oh yea, their skills…
Agent has no powers at all, but somehow he’s the commander of the team, using his wit and toolbar to beat the opponent. He’s a defender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hazard uses his combat, and reflexes,
Tumblr media
also being able to do..this..
Tumblr media
he can do that…He’s a ..defender?
While Primal uses her(?) weapons and strength. Her spear and body are a good fit, she’s a attacker.?
Tumblr media
Ballista is definitely relying on speed and..guns. He’s more of a attacker, and uses his abilities more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Correct me on any mistakes or miss outs I made here :3

TLH/TDA Cover Parallels and Analysis
The TSC cover poll by @kaitcreates made me realize how the TSC covers are so well intertextually connected between each other, especially the TLH and the TDA ones. So, I analyzed them.
Tumblr media
We have Cordelia on the cover of Chain of Gold, while Emma, who is her descendant, is on the cover of Lady Midnight. The tone of TLH is warmer autumn colors compared to the blue and green (like the sea, an important symbol of the series and LA) hues of TDA. Also, the way the characters pose is different: Cordelia is standing before a palace's gate, supposedly, the London Institute, and she's starting her new life, Cortana ready to slash whatever comes her way. Emma, on the other hand, seems like drowning and Cortana is slipping from her hands. At some point of the story, both had to give up on their precious weapon.
Tumblr media
Chain of Iron features Lucie facing a forest at night which has colors I associate with winter, the season in which it should be set. The moths are a symbol of change, mystery of the night, and death/endings and you can understand why they were on her cover. Coi ends with Jesse's soul disappearing after Belial is cast out of his body. But it's also a beginning because Jesse comes back to life by the end. And it all matches perfectly with the cover of Lord of Shadows, with Julian on it. I think we can safely say that Julian is Lucie and Jesse's descendant. The mood is very dark and he's also underwater like Emma. Water is a symbol of life but also of chaos and healing. In Qoaad, Julian turned off his emotions in order not to fall deeper for his parabatai Emma and endanger both their lives because of the parabatai curse. He holds the Blackthorn sword which we know it's destroyed in CoT, while Lucie holds the Blackthorn locket. The LoS ending matches the CoI one because in the former Jesse comes back to life, while in the latter, Livvy dies. She was the Blackthorn character that until her death wore the Blackthorn locket, which was worn by Jesse before he gave it to Lucie. Full circle, again with the descendants!
Tumblr media
Cordelia faces a pretty London palace on CoG. Lucie faces a dark forest full of unknown creatures. On the Chain of Thorns cover, Grace faces a place in ruins (Blackthorn Manor?). The colors of this cover give spring vibes and in fact, if we consider the epilogue, it ends in spring, the season of new beginnings and where everything blooms again. While Emma and Julian are in a place underwater where they can be saved (they aren't too deep), the last character featured on the Queen of air and darkness cover, Annabel Blackthorn, has pretty much sunk to the bottom of the ocean and she is beyond saving. We can tell from the Titanic-esque ruins behind her feet that she's hit the bottom, literally and figuratively. Annabel was angry because she was brought back against her will, and in her fit of anger, she ended up killing Livvy and she lost her life for good after. Grace has the opposite features as Annabel, and for good reason. While Annabel can only go back to the world of the dead, Grace has a change at getting her life back and start anew. We can say both Annabel and Grace shared a similar fate: their so called Blackthorn "parents" manipulated and abused them and they both lived half a life. Unlike Annabel, who, I said, is at the bottom and is hopeless and gone for good, Grace facing the ruins of the place were she used to live also means starting anew. Starting from the bottom, from the ashes, but in the hopeful way. It means finally living the life she wants to live.
I know that "the last hours" is taken from Great Expectations and is also a quote Magnus says. But this quick analysis also brings to the surface how the last hours could indeed be the last moments of sadness and desperation, before getting through and making it out alive. In comparison, TDA's tone is darker but it also shows that humans are able to survive the worst and going above water to breathe again after tragedy and tough life choices they have to face.

when you dislike the MC of a good series AKA Who Will Die in The Wicked Powers
damn, being petty enough to flip off the MC x canon ship in my (favorite) fandom is really kicking me in the ass--
yeah, basically I can't touch half the TSC stuff on Tumblr bc I'm so anti-Clace...(meanwhile I love literally every other character that's been in every Shadowhunter series)...& they're probably gonna have a wedding + kids in the next books (assuming Jace isn't killed)...
The Wicked Powers is most definitely gonna have the Princes of Hell as the main villains. I feel like Luke, Gwyn, or Izzy will die, since the younger Shadowhunters are supposed to be central & well...look at the couples who will be alive/extant by TWP:
SPOILERS FOR ALL SHADOWHUNTER BOOKS!!
Jace & Clary
Magnus & Alec
Simon & Izzy
Julian & Emma
Kit & Ty
Kieran/Cristina/Mark
Dru & Ash (& maybe Jaime)
Diana & Gwyn
Luke & Jocelyn
Tessa & Jem
(forgive me if I'm missing anyone!)
Jace already died once. Clary had dreams about dying, but those were shown to be visions of Thule. Based on canon events, I think they're Clare's favorite ship. SAFE.
Magnus almost gave himself to Asmodeus in CoHF. Alec almost-ish died saving Magnus in The Eldest Curses. Also, Alec almost died thanks to that poison demon in TMI (the one Magnus saved him from). Malec might end up forced to rule some region of Hell (reason unknown but I think it'll have to do with them beating/destroying Asmodeus). I feel like past events foreshadow Magnus dealing with the unfortunate sides of being a warlock. But he won't die--the "killing your gays" trope might actually save he & Alec.
Simon nearly died when the vampires attacked him (when he was a mundane), then when Valentine bled him pre-Daylighter (then Jace's blood saved him). He "sacrificed" himself to Asmodeus CoHF, in the form of his vampire immortality + memories (which he basically got back later on). Izzy...she's been through a lot psychologically & about as much as I think most Shadowhunters would physically. She lost Max & her dad. But she's a badass (I'm not faulting her for it, either). So I don't think she's safe.
Julian & Emma both lost their parents in horrible ways. Their whole series was about the parabatai curse (which, to me, was conveniently not mentioned in chronologically earlier series...probably because it wasn't invented til TDA was written, lol). They're kinda written to be the leaders of Livvy's Watch. SAFE.
Kit has his whole faerie power reveal shit to explore & he + Ty are some of the major characters in TWP. I'm pretty sure they'll spend the series healing their relationship. SAFE.
Kieran/Cristina/Mark will survive because 1) Kieran as the Unseelie King is an important Shadowhunter ally, 2) they're poly rep in YA, which is rare, and 3) killing one of them off would leave the others to mourn in such a weird way. SAFE.
I love Dru Blackthorn. She's one of the main of TWP, so I think she'll survive, plus tbh I don't think any more Blackthorns will be killed. Ash will probably end up as the Seelie King or as Clace's adopted son, to "redeem" Sebastian in a narrative sense. Jaime's sort of a main for TWP as one of Dru's love interests. SAFE.
Diana & Gwyn aren't main characters (though I like their romance). Diana also is the ONLY transgender person in all the books (unless I missed something). I don't think she'll be killed off. Gwyn might be just because I see the Wild Hunt as an important group in TWP & he might die protecting Diana (narratively, this shows strengthened faerie-Shadowhunter relations, despite the Wild Hunt being unaffiliated with either Court).
Luke & Jocelyn deserve to be endgame, but I could see Luke being killed off as one of those "MC's loved one is killed so the MC goes & avenges them" type of things. I love Luke & Jocelyn as characters, though.
Tessa & Jem deserve to be endgame, arguably, more than any couple. They were the mains in their series, then Jem survived but was sort-of-"lost" when he became a Silent Brother. Then he miraculously became a (mortal) Shadowhunter again when he was burned by heavenly fire, he just left the Clave behind to hang with Tessa (good choice!). Tessa has a baby & she's gonna suffer enough when she outlives Jem. SAFE?

legally required to send you an ask? what if i pull a neil and lie to the fbi when they come to get me??? genuinely tho, tsc was so fucking good. jeremy and cat and lalia's dynamic has me chewing on walls, but so does the unrequited kevjean (fucked over by another pretty face??? jean teaching him french?????) and reading about the foxes's wins from jean's pov has me screaminf crying etc but I'd really love to hear if you have any theories on Jeremy's family?
Surprise I’m actually the FBI and I’m onto u now
But for real I’ve been going crazy thinking about TSC since I read it. The kevjean dynamic has me losing my mind like I got SHIVERS reading his asking Jean to teach him French. And the way my stomach FLIPPED reading “did you know I’ve never been skiing?” From Jeans POV. Puking vomitting screaming crying throwing up okay
Jeremy’s family. I have NO idea. It’s so vague they’re purely like random shots in the dark as to what it could be but here’s my thoughts as of rn:
1) Jeremy’s family are big investors in USC. It’s why he’s Captain, it’s why he has to show his face at Knox family events, public gatherings and all that, because he’s the proof that the money is worth it for the returns, and he’s the face of USC. They’re counting on his success to bring them more money.
2) Half of his family are homophobic. Maybe it’s just because he’s gay and his Political Old Money family seem to not get along with him very well that I think that, but also him bleaching his hair blond and then being unwelcome at dinners because of it. It seems like image is very important to them, and even if he’s quietly gay, dying his hair could be perceived as a Gay Thing To Do. His sister says to him “you destroyed the family,” what specifically could he have done to tear his family apart? Imagine your family investing (millions maybe) into your team, your sport, and then you put their image in jeopardy for being the out and proud gay kid that creates a negative talking point. He also quickly puts his phone away when he realises his sister is around which feels like a gay kid hiding from his family thing to do.
3) the banquet im at a loss for to be honest. I’ve been trying to rack my brain around what could’ve happened, but what we do know is a) whatever happened at the banquet tore their family apart b) his sister pretends Exy doesn’t exist because of it c) she’s never forgiven him for it. Gay Trauma brain of mine says maybe he took a man as his date and it caused a lot of problems in his home life, maybe they asked him not to and he said fuck you and did it anyway. But would that really destroy his family? The therapist thing too. Fight back against what???
4) there’s obviously some weird relationship problems in his family too. Doesn’t like to be called Knox, says his grandfather is not his grandfather, avoids his brother like the plague. The only person he seems to talk to is the butler. His sister barely regards him as well. He feels like the black sheep but I don’t know why!!! Also at some point it’s mentioned (I’m pretty sure anyway) that he doesn’t seem to be getting much in terms of monetary handouts from his family so he’s potentially having Allison type problems where he’s lost his inheritance or cut out of his grandfathers will or SOMETHING. He feels like the disappointment of his family but I can’t place my finger on why other than the fact that he’s gay. I don’t know. I’m going CRAZY not knowing tho.
Jeremy is fascinating me and it’s infuriating that I don’t know more. I know it’ll make the reveal in TCS2 much sweeter but damn can I pls get a little crumb of his backstory? His trauma? Just a little bit?
Anyways this an incoherent jumbled mess of thoughts about Jeremy but I am SO curious about his family. The banquet especially because it’s pretty intense, or seems to be at least from that little paragraph about it. I would die for you Jeremy Knox just tell me everything first pls!!!!!

Incoherent Thoughts: Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare
Wow, haven't done one of these in about a year, I think. Here it is. The review of the book I've been waiting for since The Bane Chronicles. I gave my initial impressions of Chain of Thorns to my friends a couple of hours after I finished (operating on two brain cells only), and that was short and messy. This one is not short. It’s messy though, I’ll give you that.
TLDR: I loved this book so very much (despite my numerous issues with aspects of it). Here are the Incoherent Thoughts (a mix of critical and purely emotional reactions to the story. I've been waiting for this since 2014; of course, I frickin loved it despite everything).
Things that will tear me apart: The legacy of Clockwork Princess
There is nothing that could have gotten me to really hate this book. I've been waiting for it since 2014 and it was just so beautiful. It gave me the perfect mixture of comfort, nostalgia, excitement, and curiosity. These characters are my babies - probably more of my babies than Herongraystairs were, since I was 17 myself when GOTSM dropped and when the leadup to ChoG started. I was so happy to immerse myself in the same world that started when Tessa Gray popped into London in 1878 and I loved it here. Moreover, I think compared to TDA, TLH as a trilogy felt more polished and immersive. I really felt like this was a story that started in 2010 and which has grown like a vine with the generations of readers from back then (moving childhood to adulthood, like me), but also with the generation of characters in the story (who we also got to see grow up).
Moreover, Matthew's arc was perfect, and so I'm happy. Matthew was always going to be a core determining factor for me.
The core of the story: Love and Family
The Epilogue broke me, but in the good way. It really did. It was not as bittersweet or as sad or as mysterious or as all-encompassing as Cassie's other epilogues. But it was beautiful, and when I read:
Cordelia's heart was too full for speech. Without a word, she caught hold of her husband's hand. Side by side with James, Cordelia ran.
I felt so warm. The Epilogue felt like warmth, and it reminded me of the original Hyde Park picnic in Chain of Gold where Cordelia had just come to London and thought there was no future for her and when she hadn't yet come into herself. In a sense, I felt like we were reverting to that innocence and sense of peace at the start of Chain of Gold by ending off the trilogy in Hyde Park, with a dispersion of the characters to different parts of the world instead of a gathering to London. And likewise, March 2020, when ChoG dropped, is the same month when the pandemic started and all the universal awfulness on the planet turned up to 100. Now as the pandemic has retreated and I'm in a better place myself, the ending felt so fitting (as it pertains to James and Cordelia).
I mean, the book was about how the power of love and family, and unity can destroy and overcome even the most powerful forces in Hell, which is pretty powerful (meta on this coming soon). James healing Matthew for an entire night straight? Jordelia's pure love (and horniness) breaking the gracelet that was forged by a Prince of Hell? That's just so beautiful and perfect to me, the way Cassie shows how love prospers. I also think the book is about how secrecy and lies and falseness are actually more detrimental to love than massive acts of evil. Secrets and lies and the rigidity of society are the main conflicts of this series (I will update my current meta on this). Thematically, this story was an okay homage to Great Expectations but, just thematically, I thought it was perfect.
James, Cordelia, and Jordelia
Jordelia are the crux of the story. They truly love each other. Their love is so damn powerful. Like there's no doubting it. They really got back to each other through Hell and back. This is the kinda thing I read TSC for. This aspect of the story was beautiful and perfect, and at the core of James and Cordelia's relationship is something real and pure and good and strong - it's very storybookish. It succeeds in being very Layla and Majnun, in being very dramatic and earth-shattering and epic (in the Greek way). The endgame happened, and it was lovely. It reiterates the notion that goodness and love (God) will always defeat evil (Lucifer).
I now want to unequivocally state that Jordelia pissed me off for most of Chain of Thorns. Not even in the “I’m mildly frustrated” way. They're awful communicators, they lack cunning, and they both have way too much pride for their own good. They both also spent most of the series having no agency whatsoever, which is very annoying because they can only be victims who later become generic hero figures instead of anything more complex. Cordelia was tricked into becoming a paladin of Lilith and tricked into thinking her husband was being unfaithful to her. James was tricked into becoming infatuated with someone he didn't love and was literally fighting against the demonic inheritance he was born with - nothing has ever been James’ fault ever. Cordelia and James were victims for most of the trilogy, and I don't think they had to make difficult choices or ever had the need to possess any moral complexity. That pissed me off more and more throughout the story: the unwavering goodness and nobility and braveness that they inherently possessed. And I'm assuming this is by virtue of their last names being... Herondale... and... Carstairs. Cough. There is no plot armor stronger than being the children/descendants of the two most beloved characters in TSC. And boy, it fricking showed.
I'm not like, mad anymore. It's more of a me thing where I'm tired of morally perfect characters. And adding to the fact that James and Cordelia are so sheltered, rich asf, and also grew up among love and joy? James and Cordelia can... only do good, and can only be hurt by evil. They have never had enough agency in context of the narrative to choose to do something actually wrong. It's annoying. But I forgive them, it's fine. The biggest thing TLH suffers from is that James is Wessa's child (which is ironic, because that's why a lot of people even started reading TLH). James is like, great!, as a gentleman - he's attractive and well read and a great dancer and loves poetry and is rich and has manners and is handsome and is kind and is loving and is passionate and is the ideal bachelor, we get it. James Herondale is also clearly incapable of doing any wrong in his life and never had to make a single difficult choice besides to maybe self-sacrifice himself and then immediately get healed. So. Nothing bad was ever actually going to happen to James or Cordelia, or get in the way of their love. The narrative's duty was clearly to protect James in CHoT.
EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE THING! THERE WAS ONE THING THAT COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN THE WAY OF JORDELIA AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING AND COMPLEX AND IT DID LOWKEY KINDA PLAY OUT KIND OF THE WAY I WAS EXPECTING AND IT'S STILL KINDA UNRESOLVED BUT I WANTED MORE AND UGH CASSIE WAS SUCH A COWARD IN CHOT.
As for Cordelia, it's still a very mixed bag for me. I mean, she's one of the few brown women in YA fantasy who aren’t defined by fricking racial trauma or colonialism or genocide as part of her character arc. She's just a woman who happens to be brown. And she's so feminine and genteel and elegant and passionate and strong and loving, all qualities I live about her. She wants to come into her true self, and I see that struggle to find her place in the world and to find stability as her main internal conflict. I love her for that. But I also got tired of the fact that she lacks a single devious bone in her body. She is generally very oblivious and rather egotistical. She's simultaneously way too naive and proud for me to root for her all the time, and those qualities were never actually something she had to pay for in a significant way - Cassie has made her, like James, untouchable by the narrative. I love her, I really do, but I wanted to violently shake her.
Grace and Christopher
So, I have not properly processed that Kit is dead, and I may never. Moving on.
Anyways, I couldn't actually believe that the one person that did not hate Grace died. The one person that does not scorn Grace died. Grace's ending was... disappointing to me (I'll talk about this more in my Problems section). Grace is the most morally complex female character Cassie has written in TSC (I said what I said). All I wanted was for the gang to simply understand her. Not to forgive, or to forget, but just to see what she did and see why she did it. I wanted James to see and understand why she would do something so despicable. But James and Cordelia and the gang have simply decided to move on from Grace, not to understand her. They're brushing it off. That wasn't nearly good enough for me because I love Grace so much and I maintain she will be the most relatable character in the TLH for people in the real world.
I can't think of a good reason why Grace wasn't told about how Tatiana literally bought her, or why everyone else wasn't told that information or why that info didn't become public in the Enclave either. I can't think of a good reason why she isn't going to live with other Cartwrights or in the literal London Institute instead of among a bunch of people who will always kinda hate her. I think she has redeemed herself: she confessed what she did to Jesse, Cordelia, and Kit. Willingly. She helped them save London with science. She abandoned her mother and her mother's evil. She’s recognized what she’s done. But not enough was done in the story to close off her arc in a satisfying way, at least not for me. I also think making that one (1) Great Expectations quote about her siblingship with Jesse was a cop-out, because she should have said it platonically to James instead. But whatever.
Lucie and Jesse
Spent most of ChoG and ChoI not really caring about either of them only to start to like them both so much in ChoT? Jesse Blackthorn? What a man. And I warmed up to Lucie a lot. I feel like she didn't do all that much in this book, to be honest, but that's okay. I liked them both and I love how Jesse's meshed with the squad. On a side note, Lucie and Cordelia have the least compelling female friendship in the whole of TSC. I cannot properly grasp how or why they want to be parabatai. Like even their messiness isn't good or compelling messiness, so.
Matthew
He's getting a review post as long as this one on Friday or Saturday. It’ll be absurd for me to try to tackle his character here.
He is about to take over my life (again). His character arc was amazing. But moreover, I think he's the most... interesting character in the trilogy. Interesting in the purest sense of the word. He's the character I feel I understand best in TSC, and yet, I can't truly figure him out. He is either my No.2 or No.3 character in the whole of TSC right now. Matthew Fairchild is perfect. He is too good for everything ever. He, in his own way, carried the emotional aspect of the story for me. Which again speaks to how interesting Matthew is, as he doesn't get POVs. (I am genuinely trying to figure out how to express what I want to express right now.) Matthew could have like... changed everything, in a way, like he’s so powerful. Matthew's emotional state at the end of ChoT actually has changed everything, for me. I also think Matthew has managed to be the most subversive character in TLH, based on that ending alone. Matthew is an inherently jarring character, thematically, but also execution-wise. I hope Cassie knows how excellently he has maneuvered his character.
Everyone else
Alastair, Thomas, Anna, Ariadne, and the parents were all great. Tatiana was also a compelling villain (not as much as Malcolm or Sebastian, but I love her more than Valentine and Mortmain). That part when Jesse told her that Will, Tessa and the Enclave don’t hate her because they don’t even think of her was just *chef’s kiss*. I have to zone in on Alastair over the rest: Alastair was brilliant. He had the most perfect character arc besides Matthew, and also the ideal redemption arc. He didn’t just change his actions and compensate for them, but he became so loving and tender and protective throughout the story. I loved it. I’m so thrilled at how his story ended. I could have done with more adult Wessa. But the pieces and bits I actually got were both extremely in-character and hilarious and had me in fits of giggles. I love Will Herondale so damn much, it’s crazy.
Framework (Wessa, Charles Dickens, The Bible and Classic Literature)
The foundation of this book was responsible for its highs and lows. Starting with the great things: I think this book managed to be Cassie’s most “religious” work yet, and I adore that. That end sequence taking place in the literally Abbey was exquisite. The setup for a final battle between the Shadowhunters and Lucifer for TWP is there. The whole idea of love and goodness and self-sacrifice (manifested through Jordelia) defeating the powers of Hell is the most Judeo-Christian thing ever. The intersection between literature and religion was absolutely there too - from the Milton and Dante references to themes of Hell and reminders of the Fall. Another great thing that I enjoyed throughout the trilogy was the importance classic literature and poetry. Cordelia and James falling in love as children while she read Layla and Majnun to him is something that kinda makes me kinda tear up the more I think about it. The way the literature of the time period is integrated into the setting as well is awesome.
I think ChoT does not deliver as Dickens-inspired piece. Where was “to the last hours of my life, Daisy”? Why was the last third of the book so damn awful for Grace (the woman on the cover???)? The book also did not need any Epic Battle Sequence to begin with - TLH, like GE, is a book about the relationship between the individual and social codes. I have no idea why Hell and Heaven were raining fires over London for a third of th book. The tone and structure did not mesh well with a battle sequence, and so I felt like the romance and subtlety of TLH being a GE-inspired series was lost there. Likewise, another flaw that the story unintentionally suffers from is that this series… enumerates the events that took place in a generation that followed that of Wessa. And so neither James or Cordelia (*cough* a Carstairs and a Herondale *cough*) were never in real danger. For a moment I was hoping we’d get something dark and twisted or bittersweet, but then I realized… she’s never putting Herongraystairs’ direct lineage through something that screwy. The narrative existed to protect Jordelia. This book suffers from the fact that the narrative continuing to shelter and coddle James and Cordelia, similar to how they literally grew up sheltered and oblivious by virtue of having their specific last names and the associated plot armor.
Problems (many)
Kit’s death was a cop-out. She needed to kill someone, and it had to be someone important, but not too important. And not an obviously marginalized character. His death changed nothing in the story. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have died; I just thought it was poorly executed. It also didn’t help me that the one person who saw the good and the bad in Grace… is dead.
Grace’s character arc ended awfully. It would have made sense for her to kill Tatiana, and not Cordelia. But it also doesn’t help that she’s living on the fringes of society, given that said society literally hates her. The fact that she couldn’t even… stay at the Institute? The most negative things I have to say about the book are related to Grace’s arc. She’s like, been the most complex and compelling female character in TSC in a hot minute. I’m having trouble accepting the scorn she’s faced.
Edom - that sequence was ridiculous and unnecessary. The only good part of it was Heronchild, but they didn’t need to be specifically in Edom for that to go down the way it did. Lucie and Cordelia literally went to Edom to get in a portal which took them right back to London, because drama. There was no reason for the Edom trip.
No accountability or consequences - Grace and the gracelet? Forgiven and forgotten; no consequences. Jesse being raised from the dead and also them lying about his identity to the Enclave for most of the book? Forgiven and forgotten; no consequences. Matthew breaking Shadowhunter law with the whole potion debacle that cost a lot of people a lot of things? Forgiven and forgotten; no consequences. Cortana literally being able to do any and every thing the plot needs it to do, and Cordelia being the only one ever who can do it, is also quite convenient. Sure that isn’t coincidental. Like let’s have James stab himself and then we’ll Cortana Ex Machina as we see fit, don’t worry. James and Cordelia not having put on their second weddings runes until ages after they were expected to do so? Solved in one sentence in the Epilogue.
Not bittersweet (except for Matthew - only his ending was bittersweet). Grace’s ending was bitter, and everyone else’s, except Matthew, was sweet. None of the serious magical issues and the sinister secrets had any lasting effect or consequences. It was very much a happy ever after type of story; and everyone seems to have forgotten that Christopher’s very much unalive.
Sona just… had the baby. Everything was fine. Even after years of teasing that that would be more significant. Not even a Thomastair adoption, and none of the “mystery baby” theories she was teasing came though. What else was I supposed to say except… okay. Likewise, the whole explanation for why the Family Tree we’ve been teased about for a decade being screwy was weak. I just kind of zoned out. Like that whole Esme Hardcastle thing was stupid, since Cassie was giving a lot of hints about how that was supposed to go down, about why the Carstairs records are missing, and all of them involved Jem. But nothing actually “wow” happened. I suspect a lot of retconning happened. I’m sad.
Random Thoughts and Conclusion
It’s quite good that Will had refused Cortana in CP2 and that Cordelia will pass it on to baby Zachary instead of, uh, Owen Herondale, so it could have reached Emma. I’ve been, in my daze, entertaining ideas of “lmfao, imagine if Jace had ended up with Cortana and literally accidentally killed God with it, because that’s absolutely something Jace would do”. Jace, Angel Boy Extraordinary, would have beeen able to destroy Thanos with that sword.
Casual reminders of Matthew being rich and pretty and dainty are just… I love it here.
Jesse didn’t do much in this book, but he was quite funny. Like he’s unintentionally hilarious.
Anna asking Cordelia if she was pregnant felt like a personal attack against ME. I was like, one of the first idiots post-ChoI that started all the whatifs about Matthew and Cordelia and… Clary. Those theory posts still have like hundreds of notes. I was very wrong about all of my theories. It’s fine. I’ll be haunted by what so easily could have happened or not happened. But it’s fine. Ha.
Where was the Layla? The chess boards? Why was the fricking globe necklace A HOLDER FOR FOUR LINES OF GEORGE GORDON BYRON. JAMES PUT FOUR LINES FROM THE MOST GENERIC OF THE ROMANTIC ENGLISH ANGST LORDS INTO THE LOCKET??? No no no no no…
Oscar Wilde (doggo) was amazing. He’s a good boy. I think @lifeofbrybooks said that Oscar had a better character arc than some characterss. So accurate.
Hidden away, on Cassie’s hard drive, I really believe there’s a Secret Truer Original Chain of Thorns that exists. So many things felt like they were changed or omitted last minute…
Anyway, thanks to @eclecticdonutzippercroissant @amchara @benjamingross and @timesconvert for listening to me read this book. And for the fun calls and theorizing with me. Special thanks to Jenn for literally putting up with me when I put my clothes on and physically went for a long walk outside “to feel the Caribbean air on my face” before starting Chapter 23. Special thanks to Gill for validating me with her existence. I’m gonna have a lot of meta and memes coming up, in addition to moodboards and playlists. Stay tuned. And if you’re new here, check out my old stuff and accept my apologies (*generally speaking*).

kind of not even excited for TWP
I remember when I first was reading TSC and I was like omg nine books left to read and I can’t wait for TWP!!! and I’ve re read some (only twice of TMI and that was too much torture for me.) and honestly, there’s shit I hate in all of the books. I used to enjoy TID and then my eyes were opened up to how much Will was a dick and other characters were sidelined for him. Gabriel and Gideon deserved better. I also love the lightwoods a lot more so this post will focus on how much I love them 💓
I love TLH (I know 😭) but the miscommunication and the stuff we didn’t get because apparently we needed 400 pages of miscommunication just makes it feel off. I still love Thomas, Alastair, Christopher, and Matthew (and others) but reading is sooooo underwhelming because you’re like why do we need so much of James and Cordelia shit when we have Alastair and Thomas, and Matthew, plus Christopher??? why did we have to put up with this??? it could’ve been so much better and that’s why I’m high key bitter about it. and that’s how I feel about all her books. she has a decent concept and she could’ve turned it into something more grander but she didn’t ☹️
I swear majority of CC’s books, the side characters are always better but she never wants to focus on them. I’m tired of the Herondales, I’m tired of the misrepresentation, tired of the ignorance, toxic, incest, and gross relationships. I still stand by my statement about TLH- it would have been better if it was Alastair’s pov and didn’t focus on James and Cordelia drama plus the miscommunication. I swear it’s her go to when she needs some drama.
I’m only writing this because I saw that the titles for TWP came out and it’s the last fairy, prince of hell, and shadowhunter. as much as I’m not looking forward to her herondale, incest, miscommunicating, and disrespectful centered storylines- SHE BETTER NOT DESTROY ANY LIGHTWOODS, MAGNUS BANE OR ANY OF THR CHARACTERS I LIKE. get rid of jace and Janus for all I care but STOP KILLING LIGHTWOODS. and I doubt that she’ll improve her writing because she’s wrote 50 books and they’re all the same honestly. I for real don’t feel excitement for it. I know it’s going to be the last of them but she better not ruin it. I don’t know, this is just a dumb post and I’m feeling weird lmaooo

something that absolutely gets me about alan becker’s animations is just how much personality each of the stick figures has. To list some examples:
-red is a little bit more reckless that most of his friends. like TSC, he tends to just dive head on into danger, and his method of solving problems is pretty much “beat it up.” He also loves animals, especially noticeable in his absolute epic pet pig. However, he is also quick to trust and generally thinks less before doing things than his friends, especially TSC. He’s also been possessed twice now. I think. Good for him, I suppose.
-TSC also dives right into dangerous situations, and would do absolutely ANYTHING for his friends. He’s a bit more OP than the rest of them, obviously, which you can see whenever they’re in a fight, especially when he fights red in the desert during AVM shorts season 3. He’s quick to forgive and understand, and can see the good and bad sides that make up a whole with little difficulty. However, like with purple in S3 and red a bit later, he can also hold some grudges when someone tries hurt his friends. He’s definitely closest to the leader of the group, simply because he’s got a bit more experience and fighting ability than the rest of them.
-purple, even before we got his really awesome backstory in ep.29, held a distinct need for power and influence that clearly came from a need to belong. He cares for all his friends, but doesn’t know how to balance that with the space left by his past experiences, leading him to abandon green and blue in the void and later join King Orange (do we call him Mango Tango on tumblr? I am pretty new to this side of the fandom and can’t quite figure that one out 😅).
-yellow is kind of the science lover friend. He’s inventive and resourceful, which we can see whenever he digs up some red stone machine or command block to solve a problem, like with the villagers in S3. He also seems to trust pretty easily (especially if they offer him some cool tech like king orange showing him the command block staff) and in ep 30, stands with blue staring rather distrustfully at the reformed MT until he’s offered the command stick. He is a pretty funny guy, if you ask me.
-green is probably the thinker of the group. He hesitates to jump into things, and tries to care for every member of the group, and understand each perspective. He waits for orange before jumping into purple’s parkour portal after fighting the witch, and chooses to go after purple INSTEAD of helping his friends despite yellow telling him not to. All of this after being abandoned by him multiple times and seeing exactly what he could be capable of. He looks for the best in people when he can and never wants to leave anyone behind, which makes for some fun character dynamics!
-blue is the most go-with-the-flow out of all of them. He clicks with all his friends, and has some cool adventures with each of them. He also gets attached to the piglins and bonds with THEM, though he does this while chasing his drug addiction, of all things. This poor stick figure is canonically a drug addict. Poor guy. He is a bit slower to forgive MT in the end, and unsure about purple for a while because of how he left blue and green in the void that one time, but normally likes to just do stuff and worry about things later, and just hang out with his friends. Even if he accidentally sends them on a wild goose chase for him and accidentally creates a chain reaction that nearly destroyed all of minecraft. Because he wanted some more nether wart.
And that’s just the basics. I could talk for hours about some of their relationships, namely red + TSC, blue + green, blue + yellow, and green + purple, but that’s a story for another time. TLDR: Alan Becker gave stick figures personality and I just can’t get over that.

Lord Of Shadows Moodboard 🌑
Sunny Los Angeles can be a dark place indeed. Emma Carstairs has finally avenged her parents. She thought she'd be at peace. But she is anything but calm. Torn between her desire for her parabatai Julian and her desire to protect him from the brutal consequences of parabatai relationships, she has begun dating his brother, Mark. But Mark has spent the past five years trapped in Faerie; can he ever truly be a Shadowhunter again? And the faerie courts are not silent. The Unseelie King is tired of the Cold Peace, and will no longer concede to the Shadowhunters' demands. Caught between the demands of faerie and the laws of the Clave, Emma, Julian, and Mark must find a way to come together to defend everything they hold dear—before it's too late. A Shadowhunter's life is bound by duty. Constrained by honor. The word of a Shadowhunter is a solemn pledge, and no vow is more sacred than the vow that binds parabatai, warrior partners—sworn to fight together, die together, but never to fall in love. Emma Carstairs has learned that the love she shares with her parabatai, Julian Blackthorn, isn't just forbidden—it could destroy them both. She knows she should run from Julian. But how can she when the Blackthorns are threatened by enemies on all sides? Their only hope is the Black Volume of the Dead, a spell book of terrible power. Everyone wants it. Only the Blackthorns can find it. Spurred on by a dark bargain with the Seelie Queen, Emma, her best friend, Cristina, and Mark and Julian Blackthorn journey into the Courts of Faerie, where glittering revels hide bloody danger and no promise can be trusted. Meanwhile, rising tension between Shadowhunters and Downworlders has produced the Cohort, an extremist group of Shadowhunters dedicated to registering Downworlders and "unsuitable" Nephilim. They'll do anything in their power to expose Julian's secrets and take the Los Angeles Institute for their own. When Downworlders turn against the Clave, a new threat rises in the form of the Lord of Shadows—the Unseelie King, who sends his greatest warriors to slaughter those with Blackthorn blood and seize the Black Volume. As dangers close in, Julian devises a risky scheme that depends on the cooperation of an unpredictable enemy. But success may come with a price he and Emma cannot even imagine, one that will bring with it a reckoning of blood that could have repercussions for everyone and everything they hold dear.
The title, Lord of Shadows, refers to the Unseelie King.

Tatiana is absolutely evil, but I don't think she's fully in her rights mind. Like, I think Tatiana is also a victim in many ways, and she was driven to madness and evil despite having once had the potential to be a fine person. Mortmain is WAY scarier than her because he isn't just in his right mind - he's incredibly methodical, meticulous, and scientific as he goes about his plots. He caused a girl to be born while fully intending even before she existed to rape her and use her to breed his children. He linked her to an angel to make sure she survived. He worked for decades to perfect his automatons. He is batshit crazy and is basically an evil capitalist overlord.
I find Mortmain to be a genuinely unsettling villain.
Tatiana is very much not in her right mind, and falls into the category of “shadowhunter women who didn’t get what they want and absolutely can’t deal with it”. She sort of does that thing that a lot of fictional charcaters, and a lot of real people, do where when someone is absent from their lives they make them up in their heads to fix everything. Like “if only my dad were alive everything would be perfect!” Or “my grandma was exactly like me if I’d known her I wouldn’t be lonely!”, when they barely knew that person, and that person defiantly wouldn’t fix everything.
In TLH she operates with idea that if Rupert were still alive everything would be better, and if her Benedict was alive everything would be perfect, when logically, she’s totally wrong.
Mortmain on the other hand has no delusions about anything.
He’s the opposite of a lot of characters in that he doesn’t seem mean and have a nice, sympathetic side, he almost seems nice while very much not caring.
He’s not at all concerned with human life or even recruiting people. He’ll straight up say “so and so shouldn’t die” and kill them without being at all smug, sad, or angry.
It’s not even like there’s anything you can do to make him angry. He’s going to destroy the shadowhunter end of story. You can bring up his parents if you want but it’s not gonna upset him.
He basically views everyone around him as very little more than ants.
Also he fought like ten shadowhunter children. No one in the institute is over the age of like 23 and he still lost.
He is so creepy. He’s planning to breed a teenager??? He’s planning to keep her, mostly teenaged, friends hostage so she doesn’t defy him??? So creepy. So gross. Loved his death<3
Part of me wishes we could have seen what would happen if the TID gang did stay in the mountain for few days, solely to see some interactions. There are a few interesting parallels in the books involving Mortmain that I’ve never seen anyone point out. Whenever I reread TID I’ll point them out. He’s easily my favorite TSC villain, since he’s so successful in being a major threat while still being at his core just a dude.

The Nightmare
???: How you doing kid?
Red looked opened her eyes. She was in a dark room. Who knows how small or big it was, it was pitch black.
Red: Who the hell are you!? Where am I?
???: Surprising. Thought you'd remember me after our last couple of meets.
Red recognised that voice. But where from?
Red: I...
???: I thought you were smarter than that Red, guess I was wrong.
That voice. It clicked. Herobrine.
Red: How the hell are you even-
Herobrine: I came to talk to you.
Red: Well, if you want to talk to me, at least show your face.
A spotlight appeared in the room, and there he was. Herobrine himself. Red breathed in as she saw him.
Red: Wha-
He was different. Or at least, looked it. His eyes were...black.
Herobrine: I thought I'd finally tell you what I've been putting off a while.
Shakily, Red said
Red: And what might that be?
Herobrine: Ever heard of Harry Potter?
Red: Yes...why?
Herobrine: Well, you and I are very similar to Voldemort and Harry. Harry sees through Voldemort's eyes, he sees through his. The visions that Harry has, Voldemort has too. The powers Voldemort has, Harry has too.
Red stepped back.
Red: Visions? Powers? I don't-
Herobrine: Silly child. You've always had my powers. Those nightmares you have? They are my visions. How I know all this? I see through your eyes, and you can see through mine. All the powers I have, you have. Telekinesis, beams, healing, mind control, blood manipulation, seeing ghosts...a lot to be honest. Just. Like. Me.
Herobrine smiled. An evil grin.
Red: No...I don't want that, n-no!
Herobrine: Ha! You actually think you have a choice?! YOU are only a puppet, a mindless slave for me. You'll destroy your friends, and you know it. Your dangerous Red.  Maybe even more dangerous than me.
Suddenly, Herobrine put his hand out, and his eyes crackled and fizzed. Red felt an excruciating pain all throughout her body, and she collapsed, screaming.
Herobrine: Weak. Just what I thought.
Red screamed and screamed in agony, but suddenly, something happened. Her own eyes turned black, and she started to stiffly stand up. Herobrine stepped back in shock. Red stared at Herobrine.
Red: I. will. Never. BE. LIKE. YOU!!!!
She screamed, white beams of light coming out of her hands and blasting him back into the darkness.
Red woke up breathing heavily, her bed soaked with sweat. She sat or a moment, but broke down in tears soon after. Was that only a dream? A nightmare? Or a warning? She was so confused.  She tried to get up, but she felt sick, and threw up. She coughed and sat down up against the wall.
Red: Just stop...make it stop...
After a couple of minutes, there came a knock at the door.
???: Red? Are you alright? I thought I heard something.
Red didn't answer. She couldn't.
???: Red? Red are you there?
Red started to cry again. She was so stressed.
???: Red? Red! What's going on? Can I come in?
Still no answer.
???: Red please. Answer...
No luck.
She then heard the door click softly, and TSC came in. He rushed over to Red and soon as he saw the state of her, and put his arm round her.
TSC: Hey, hey? It's ok, it's ok. I'm here now. Ssh.
Red cried into his shoulder.
Red: I don't want this Sec, I don't-
TSC: I know, I know, your safe, your safe.
Red: I'm tired Sec, I'm so tired...
TSC: Ssh, ssh, it's alright, let's get you back to bed, yeah?
Red subtly nodded, and SC helped her up. She tried to walk, but her legs gave out, so SC carried her to bed.
TSC: Your safe now Red, it's ok.
Red reached out her hand, and SC took it.
He smiled softly. SC didn't want to leave her alone.
Red: Can you...stay with me? Just...until I fall asleep?
TSC: Of course I can. I love you Red.
Red: I love you too. Thank you so much.
Red shakily closed her eyes, and TSC sat next to the bed on the floor. Both fell asleep very quickly, and Red didn't have anymore nightmares that night either.

okay i need to dump my thoughts somewhere about the new ava short so
spoilers under the cut!
- right off the bat chosen is just not having a good time, but i guess it revealed something interesting! i'm guessing the world is the same world mt and purple originated from and it's very connected to their base, interesting to see alan add on to the stick world/city lore!
- i feel really bad for tsc that they had to be dragged into it by tco, considering the very powers tco wanted them to use they don't remember using it in the slightest, but it seemed that tco was extremely desperate at this point;
to me they don't seem like someone who easily asks for help from anybody (he had to fight tooth and nail on his own for 3 ava's straight) so for them to want to ask tsc for help with their situation means they're out of options at that point. i'll have to check back the date on the newest ava short, see how long it's been since ava 5
obviously i'm not justifying his forcefulness in dragging tsc into the mess, but he was begging on his knees for tsc to help them and he was already probably in a world of pain after being hit by multiple glitch thingies, and tco definitely has high survival instincts
also interestingly enough how much he struggled against the hunters, but i'm not articulate enough to talk about it
- the way c!alan playfully fights with the sticks was so cute!!!! you can tell he's definitely grown a lot from the reckless and merciless person he used to be, and the way they were all.... eeeeee!!! i loved that even if it was short lived
(imagine if tco had barged in why they were playfighting... well he was probably in pain to care at that moment but imagine...)
loved the way c!alan just dead stares at the hole in his program LMAO like "ah, haven't had that happen in a while..."
- btw if any of you are wondering if tco's ice powers are new, they're surprisingly not! he has used it against the firefox fox before, and i think it was in ava 2 (i saw someone being confused at this)
- i love the quick demonstration of how much tco has changed over the gap by making them save a stick figure even though he's in mid-chase. in ava 5 he had been destroying and wreaking havoc on sites during the gap between 3 and 5, and it's such a good reverse detail in such a quick and tense moment
-i also love that they brought back tco's silliness, cause he had his silly moments in ava 2 and 3 so i'm glad it's back somewhat
- SO. ABOUT THAT GRAY STICK FIGURE AT THE END....

ha, i’m a mixture of anger and sadness rn. i’m sad bc normally cassie’s books leave me, yes, crying, but also satisfied.
…and rn i’m not satisfied. and i think that’s why i am disappointed. it’s the first tsc book where i don’t feel absolutely elated and destroyed with an ending. and that fucking hurts and sucks.
i wanted this book to lift me up for a bit. not to leave me feeling more like death. and maybe that’s, you know, a very personal thing. but goddamnit.
christopher deserved better and it kills me bc honestly, i don’t get the necessity of his death, it wasn’t necessary to make us sad and i don’t think his death had much of an impact besides making them (the characters) suffer. i’m pissed. i’m sad. i’m disappointed.
like i said, probably a very me thing. but agh, i’m sad. and rn it’s so difficult to look past that and see the things that i did like and enjoy (also bc half of those things include kit).
agh.
