Hi, I'm curious about something and you're like the one person I know who knows both characters so what would a meeting between Usnavi and Bruno be like? Just wondering

(this is broadway usnavi btw, i haven’t seen the movie)

okay! so, i actually think that bruno and usnavi have way more in common than you’d think just from a quck glance.

usnavi is clearly deeply loved by his community, whereas bruno is shunned by his, but (at least before usnavi’s character arc in the show) both of them feel on the outside of things. it’s probably not a coincidence that usnavi’s the only one breaking the fourth wall in ITH. he’s really no more the main character than, say, nina, but he is the one who chats with the audience directly, and i think that reflects the fact that he feels, like the audience, that he’s watching everyone else’s lives rather than participating himself. the world spins around while i'm frozen to my seat. and isn’t that so similar to bruno, sitting isolated in his room, watching visions of everyone else’s lives but never getting out himself, or putting on his rat plays in his space behind the wall? they both view themselves more in the role of narrator or observer, not a character with their own arc.

it’s obviously got a different vibe. i don’t think usnavi realises quite to what extent he’s loved by the people around him (he seems absolutely baffled by sonny and vanessa being upset about him leaving) but he definitely does not feel unloved. i think bruno also doesn’t realise how loved he is, but in his case he also has very good reasons to feel unloved, and is much less welcomed by the wider community (though perhaps when he was younger, this was different). and i definitely get the impression that usnavi’s relationship with his parents was an affectionate one, not a fraught one like bruno’s.

but there is that sense, for both of them, of having lost the thread of their individual identity under all the pressure of legacy and lost parents and their role and duty to their community. and both of them are stuck. they're living a life that isn't where they want it to be, there are things they want and relationships they crave but they can't move out of the place they're trapped in. there is also the sense that some part of is their own subconscious doing.

i always interpret usnavi’s as a result of anxiety that largely comes from losing his parents, a past that he can't change but wishes he could: what if he makes a wrong choice and something else bad happens, what if he loses someone else or loses his memory of his parents? better keep things exactly the same, to be safe. and bruno's as a result of seeing futures that he can't change but wishes he could, and what if he is cursed? what if he is the reason things go wrong? better knock on wood, hold your breath, spin in a circle, to be safe. when your life throws you a pain that you can't control, you create a routine that you can control, even if it eventually takes over and controls you.

usnavi's goal for a long time is to go back to the dominican republic, apparently, but until abuela claudia wins the lotto it really doesn’t look like he’s got any intention of taking steps towards that. and bruno is very similar - doesn’t actually manage to run away, because he’s too connected to his home and his family, but he doesn’t know how to change things so he just hides, stays the same, watches everything else grow and change without him. i’d bet that usnavi and bruno have had similar thoughts so many times of like “oh i’ll ask vanessa out, i'll sell the store, i'll move to DR. one day. probably. not yet.” and “i’ll talk to my sisters, i'll leave the encanto properly, i'll go outside. at some point. probably. not yet.”

and part of that pressure is external circumstances, but part of it is self-imposed, as a defense mechanism. if you lose yourself in your work or your duty to that extent, if you hide behind the things that are honest about it, then you always have an excuse to tell yourself for the rest. someone does always need coffee or a vision or a stable job or to be protected, that's true, so you can pretend that you're putting that big plan off because you're just too busy with all that other stuff, not because you're scared to do it. stay in the store. stay behind the walls. part of it is kindness, or duty, or practicality, yes. part of it is fear.

oh and speaking of abuelas! (though, again with a very different vibe depending who we're talking abut) i think both of them are very led by their love and respect for the respective maternal figures in their lives, but that this clouds their own desires/goals. claudia says to her own mama, "i spent my life inheriting dreams from you", and i think that without meaning to, the same happens with her and usnavi about moving to the dominican republic. as soon as it was him making the choice alone, he realised that it wasn’t what he wanted. i think there’s always some part of him that does want that a little, i doubt claudia picked that up from nothing, but it’s possible that she read usnavi's vague ideas of going to DR more strongly through her own experience of missing where her family came from, the part of her that regrets not going back to cuba, and didn’t recognise that the indecision probably meant part of usnavi felt it wasn't right for him.

and that’s so similar for alma, though it's much more harsh and hurtful in this instance: she parents her children and grandchildren based on her own history and regret and fear and wishes. she wants a safe place to hide, she wants outsiders not to find them or cause them harm: bruno lives up to that and then some when he goes into the walls. and he convinces himself it's the best choice for himself and for the family, but it isn’t. they probably don’t even realise that it’s something he learned from her example.

neither claudia nor alma mean any harm by this, they try their best, and they sacrifice for it: alma locks away her own grief and her trauma to build a whole community from the ground. claudia could use her lotto money to go back to la vibora after days into weeks into years away from home, but it’s puerto plata that they’re getting a plane ticket for, usnavi's island, not hers. they’re both misguided, their own pasts biasing their perception, but they do love their kids.

anyway!! you asked what it'd be like if they met, not for a list of things they have in common or for an extensive meta about abuelas. tough shit i guess you got that too.

so. i think that usnavi may see the similarities between himself and bruno, but he doesn’t strike me as the kind of person who dislikes people who he can see his own flaws/insecurities in. if anything it just makes him reach out to them more. i think he would want to help. he’s been scared and lonely and saddled with too much responsibility from too young an age and felt like he lost everything before, too, but he’s doing so much better now, and he'd want to extend that hope to anyone else who is struggling similarly. and what bruno needs more than anything is to be shown kindness and acceptance, both things that usnavi can very easily give. i also think usnavi has absolutely no concept of people being weird, he’s extroverted and makes friends easily but he’s not exactly Mr Social Cues himself. bruno could say the most absolute batshit thing you’ve ever heard and usnavi would just be like “lmao yeah i get u :)))"

bruno, on the other hand, probably would struggle to like someone who he felt was too much like himself, but i don’t think he’d see usnavi that way. someone who has struggles, fears, insecurities that bruno does relate to, but who unlike bruno is also bubbly and bouncy and chatty, and who is trying so, so hard all the time to be positive (even when it would be healthier to let themselves feel angry, or sad, or hurt, even when it's blatantly obvious that they are feeling those things), someone who helps other people when they're in the middle of their own crisis and who thinks of themselves as just a totally unremarkable, ordinary, nothing-special person because they don’t see the way that everyone gravitates towards their warmth and kindness. he’s not going to see himself in usnavi. he’s going to see mirabel.

they’d get along great.

Their a beautiful couple but maybe I just dnt get them cuz I fail to see the Kaia and Austin hype 😭 I see more conversation about their age gap rather than locals praising them as a couple. Im not sure what screams "were ready to be engaged!" when both seem pretty career minded rn. Austin is really in his "moment" now and seems to want to continue to do lead man projects and Kaia seems to want to transition from modeling to acting and prove herself to be a good actress. Besides that engagment rumor (which was debunked within a day or 2 lmao) i dnt see why they cant just b a couple who is serious in their relationship?

Yea, like esthetically-speaking, Austin and Kaia make a really nice-looking couple. They have some things in common, so I can see why they would probably click. But other than that, I don't see the hype either? 🤷🏾‍♀️

To me, it just seems like another actor dating a model type relationship. Not that deep, in other words. People in Hollywood date each other all the time.

I guess maybe some people are thinking they're headed for engagement because he's Kaia's longest relationship (two years), and Austin actually seems like a decent guy compared to some of her exes, Pete (drug abuse) and JE (shady reputation) 🤔

But even still....

Like you said, they both seem focused on their work/careers right now. Not that you can't do both, but I've never even heard any of them talk about future or marriage goals, or even settling down.... let alone, talk about each other. So, I'm not sure what people are going by exactly. 🤔 So far, there was actually WAY more evidence that he and Vanessa were gonna get engaged imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Kaia is only 22. She has YEARS to grow as a woman, and to date many more men (or women) imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I just doubt she'll be marrying the first guy she started dating longer than a year at age 20.

It's also kinda presumptuous cuz we don't even know if Austin himself even wants to get married. His parents divorced at a very young age. He might be traumatized. 🥴 He might not even know if that's smthg he wants. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Honestly, the only people I've seen who are so "hyped" for their relationship are mainly Kaustin shippers, or maybe some Kaia stans. Most of his fans on the other hand (esp OG Austin fans pre-Elvis), aren't really feeling this relationship like that... but NOT because they don't want him dating anyone, but because of many other reasons. 👀

Chiiiiilllle.... it was LESS than 4 hours. That engagement rumor didn't even last the DAY. 🤣

I mean, it's ONE thing if a couple has talked to the media about settling down, or wanting marriage, or has been making very obvious signs towards engagement. But when people keep making speculations about engagement when there's been no signs whatsoever, I'm just like.... 😵‍💫

Not really a request but I just want to know why you like Black Clover and who is your favorite character?

Hello! It’s nice to meet you! Those are great questions! I’ve actually mentioned my favorite characters in an older post, but I’d like to reiterate in this more recent post since many chapters have passed since then.

In regards to why I like Black Clover, there are many reasons why I find this anime so enjoyable. If I were to summarize my reasons into three points, it would be the attention and care for multiple characters, the likeability of the main protagonist, and the overarching themes of the story.

Before I got into Black Clover, there was a lot of negative reception of the show. Many criticized the anime for being so “basic” and just a “Naruto rip-off”. This made me very curious whether what people said were true or just dramatic and so I decided to check Black Clover out. And to my surprise, Black Clover was a fun watch! On the surface, I can understand why people viewed the anime as a typical shounen given the tropes that were used. We got the loud protagonist, the rival cool guy, tsunderes, fanservice characters, and many other tropes that are common to see in anime. But what makes Black Clover differ from the rest is how they simply give attention and layers to these characters. Tabata did something as simple as give each character a moment to shine and even backstory to explain why they are the way they are. For example, we could easily have a character like Vanessa be there for just fanservice and maybe a little bit of support, but instead we get to see her team up with the main character in battle, get her own arc in the anime, and become a huge asset to the squad. Vanessa wasn’t the only one who got this treatment. There are plenty of other characters who got the spotlight and showcase a lot of their motivation and development. The fact that this becomes consistent for most of the cast and throughout the story is honestly impressive. Even the typical beach or hot springs episode ends up being significant to the plot. What I like about Black Clover is that it doesn't try anything new in the Shounen genre, but instead takes inspiration from its foundation and makes it better.

Now when it comes to main characters, Asta has to be one of the best main characters in Shounen. He also happens to be my most favorite character in Black Clover and for many reasons. Many complained about Asta being “annoying” and “generic”, and to that I say “You must be watching a different anime”. Asta has to be the most charming MC I’ve seen in a long time! There are many traits that Asta holds that makes him distinct from other main leads. That being his bond with children, fairness towards most villains, and selfless goals and aspirations. I don’t think I’ve seen another MC that is so natural with children like Asta is. It’s honestly very endearing! Another thing that I like about Asta as a main lead is how he deals with the antagonists of the show. He is very balanced in how he serves justice for most of the story. By giving his opponent a chance to be held accountable for their actions, he avoids taking extreme actions such as killing an opponent or just forgiving them because of their tragic backstory. Asta will not be swayed by your tears! He will make you pay for what you’ve done, whether you like it or not. And that’s cool of him to do! And lastly, the most significant part of Asta’s character is his selfless goals and aspirations. Despite being a peasant orphan and facing discrminiation wherever he goes, he refuses to be jaded. Instead, he works for a better future not just for himself, but for his family in the orphanage. A common critique to Asta is how he’s just like Naruto, but while Naruto initially wanted to be Hokage to prove himself, Asta wanted to be Wizard King to prove that no matter where you come from, you can achieve anything. And that’s what makes those two different in my eyes. No hate towards Naruto, but I prefer Asta’s ambitions and dream. His positive view of life and genuine work ethics are very inspiring to me. I think because I connect well with Asta that I view him as one of the best things about Black Clover and my most favorite character.

And lastly the overarching themes of Black Clover are very optimistic and relatable. I like how they made it very clear that you are capable of overcoming many obstacles that come your way. You can’t really change the past, but you can definitely work for a better future. And this theme really hits home to me. The message of hope and hard work is what makes this anime very enjoyable for me to watch!

Overall, there are plenty of reasons to love Black Clover! The characters, the story, the openings, and visuals-- they are all pretty top tier! Not to say that Black Clover is perfect, but I think that even its weaknesses are overshadowed by its strengths!

Reviewing Netflix's "The Hollow"

The Hollow is a two season Netflix Original that came out in 2018.

Spoilers ahead.

The Plot

Adam, Kai and Mira wake up in a suspicious room. They have no memories and no way out — except for a vent near the ceiling. From here, they work together to get through what they find to be a video game. They compete against another team: Vanessa, Reeve and Skeet’s team. Each of the players has a power chosen before the start of the game.

In season 2, they all remain in the digital world even after completing the game. The characters investigate and go through the game again, but not as players. They find The Hollow used the memories of the past players for a developing game: the Hollow Life. The game consists of digital versions of the players.

A glitch caused their digital selves to be sentient. Their real world selves are still going through life. So, when Skeet dies, the real world version of him is fine. Vanessa caused the glitch by cheating using a contact lens that blocks access to her memory. After all this, the current game they were in ended and the Hollow Life was taken offline. At the end of the series, they live happily in their digital world.

The plot is definitely unique. The show had this one overarching plot, the video game and Hollow Life, while also having smaller moments, like Reeve and Adam’s conflict. It was fun to watch. The characters all had the same goals, yet there was a good amount of drama conjured up in each of the episodes.

Now at a certain point, the plot did bore me. I ended up dropping the show around episode seven of season two, but I picked it back up recently. I watched the show start to finish on 1.5x speed in two sittings.

After rewatching it, I don’t know why I ever dropped it.

Besides the creativity of the plot, the pacing is perfect. Every episode focuses on a distinct part of their quest, making it easy to plot when and how everything happens.

Some episodes have two small quests in one, some with just one quest and a larger quest might be split in two. There isn’t any point in the show where you feel like too much or not enough is happening.

The Characters

I honestly loved all the characters by the end of the show. At first, I didn’t like Vanessa, Reeve or Skeet much. But this makes sense as they were the opposing team. When they join forces with the main three, you enjoy them more.

Mira was my favorite character. She was this bold girl who was very smart. I loved her.

Kai was a very close second. He brings a touch of humor to perfect the show.

Adam is tied with Kai. I’m a very indecisive person, but these characters are making it even harder. He was a great leader and always had a good strategy.

They had well-balanced characters who all worked together well. The relationships between the characters were also done right. The dynamic between each of the teams, and then Mira, Adam and Reeve, were both interesting aspects of the plot to see.

Speaking of Adam and Reeve, I feel like there was this layer of romantic interest there. This is a common theory, but it really seems like they were exes. That’s just another thing I love about the show: the diversity & representation in both sexuality and race.

The Ending

Now, for some, the ending was confusing and needed some clearing up. To me, I understood what was going on pretty well. It took a little while, and I had to take a step back a few times, but I figured it out.

I liked the ending; it was nice to see them happy with the way things were. I feel like season two just left off on a clean & clear note, which is the best type of ending for a show.

The creators also ended season one nicely. There was an ending — the end of the game — but there was also something to hook the viewer into season two, aka Vanessa’s eye glitching.

The Artstyle

I loved the design of the character! I even went out of my way to re-create them in the game, Everskies. They were unique and fun.

It's not just the designs of the main characters, even the side characters and villains were designed well. It made the show even better for me. Mira had on my favorite outfit.

Overall

I loved the show and I would definitely rewatch it. I honestly wish it had a larger fanbase so I can see more fan edits and fanart of it.

Would I recommend to a friend? Yes.

I've found my old old essay about pandora hearts and bsd parallels so I've decided to post it

Sorry for all the incorrect statements because it was too painful to go and check some information I couldn't find in wiki so feel free to correct me

MAJOR BUNGOU STRAY DOGS AND PANDORA HEARTS SPOILERS

In fact, sometimes the parallels between pandora and bsd cease to seem like a coincidence. There are too many close things, Akutagawa is generally a separate song, although it is quite possible that these are all my conspiracy theories and inflamed imagination. I can't stop thinking about it since Akutagawa became a vampire. Akutagawa is literally an exact copy of Vanessa Nightray, they look like twins. But even looks don't interest me as much as the fact that Vanessa was literally beheaded. The heroine, who looks identical to Akutagawa, was beheaded. It sounds like a parallel, considering that Vanessa was beheaded at the moment when she was trying to protect Eliot, who literally looks like atsushi, and I'm not just talking about a haircut, he's a "blue" character, and by the way, the arch of Eliot throughout the manga was imbued with the theme of self-sacrifice, although the self-sacrifice of Eliot (and especially the attitude towards this) is very different from Atsushi's self-sacrifice. And Eliot loves cats (I hope it's not headcannon, because I don't remember well, but I think it was said somewhere in the beginning). By the way, there are a lot of cats in pandora, as well as in bsd (one natsume is worth something). Not in the narrative itself, of course, but they appear in many places, and obviously not just like the cats in pandora.

Jack and Gogol. They are similar. At least externally. And as a maximum, they are obsessed with their fix idea, which includes the murder of their best friend, to whom I will return, as well as getting into the trust of a child for the sake of fulfilling their goal (and both in pandora and in bsd, despite the fact that Sigma and Alice were not babies / very young children, chronologically, they are much smaller, and they were not born in the most natural way. And do you know who else was not born naturally? Oz, whom Jack also adapted for himself. Cool? Cool!). I'll come back to Sigma and Alice more closely later, but for now let's remember the first meeting of Jack and Alice, Sigma and Gogol. Despite the fact that in the chapter where Jack meets Alice, he falls (from a tree), not Alice, but anyway, when did Gogol first meet sigma? When he was falling. I'm not sure there's a lot of sense in the falling parallel, but agree, it's pretty funny, don't you think? Sigma and Alice are similar by the unnaturalness of their appearance and the fact that they do not belong to their own world, but I also find it funny that Sigma's design reminds me very much of Alice, first of all about the will of the abyss, and although it's not that it would be so obvious, but Sigma has a similar hairstyle (y Alice is more magnificent and her hair is more wavy, but the styling itself is very similar) and half of his hair is light, and the second, although still light, is darker, and if we assume that this parallel is embedded in his design (which I, in truth, doubt), then sigma can parallel right away with two alice, black and white. Although personally it seems to me that he will be more like Oz with his development arch, at least because he was created with the help of a book that can change reality, and the soul woke up in Oz after Lacey gave one of the twin rabbits to the core of the abyss, and since Lacey is a red-eyed child, and therefore is able to influence the reality (or something like, I hardly remember why the children of misfortune were so afraid of the jury), then their origin has common roots. Well, both, as, by the way, and atsushi, have a similar injury from the area of who I am and why I am. And both should not be trusted by nice young people with a scythe.

Dostoevsky and Oswald. To be honest, I catch more external similarity and phlegm in them, however, in the history of everyone, one way or another, there is a theme of murder = deliverance, although in the case of Oswald it was deliverance from suffering, and in Dostoevsky it is deliverance from sin. There will certainly be no twist with a fake antagonist here, but all the parallels between Gogol and Jack make me think that Dostoevsky has every chance of dying at the hands of Gogol (and frankly, for me this is the most preferable alignment, given that Dostoevsky is very likely to die. I honestly don't know how he could be kept alive without compromising the plot)

Vince and Yumeno. The external similarity, in principle, is expressed only by different eyes and association with toys, but the plot role is quite similar, I mean, literally the child is subjected to moral (and physical, in the case of yumeno) abuse in order to cause a huge catastrophe that can be extinguished with great difficulty (and here I want to remind you of the similarity of Some and Miranda, two red-haired women who greatly influenced the fate of certain children, especially perniciously and poisonously in the case of Vincent).

Keka and Echo. By nature, partly by design (a little girl with a soft toy, which is often depicted with the figure of a woman behind her back) they are similar, just like a certain hero (Oz/Atsushi) saved them from lives in which they were not happy, saved them from the abuse of traumatized adults (Akutagawa and Vincent).

Leo and Dazai. It's hard to say anything at all about dazai, of course, but there are a couple of things that I can't help but mention. Leo and Dazai both shut themselves off from the outside world and this can be traced through their appearance quite clearly - as dazai uses bandages, which, by the way, are unwound on certain art and in certain anime scenes, next to people dear to him, so Leo wears glasses and grows his hair to protect himself from the fires of the abyss, and also from the outside world. Leo, and most likely, Dazai (given that dazai was largely based on the image of yozo from an inferior person, and this was literally his main fear) is afraid that people around him will understand how much he differs from them (by the way, in the case of dazai, I think it could be is it related to him and the book? There is a plausible theory about the tight connection between Dazai and the book, like that he is the opposite force to the book, and if this theory is confirmed, then the parallel in principle makes sense). Of course, weak evidence, I agree, but I damn much like to look for parallels, and I try to highlight everything that catches my attention, even if it is far-fetched. By the way, both have changed a lot after the death of the person closest to them, both externally and internally, both after this event have changed the side they are fighting for and both have a storyline where they are trying to create the reality where the person dear to them is alive - Leo agrees to change the past, to make them Eliot has never met, if it saves him, Dazai literally creates a parallel world where he and Oda are enemies, because this is the only scenario in which Oda will be alive and able to become a writer. By the way, the relationship between Dazai and Mori reminds me of Leo and Levi, although perhaps the fact is that Levi and Mori are just similar characters.

My favorite and final theme: the 4th wall, the jury, the book, reality. Naturally, it's impossible to say anything for sure about the bsd finale right now, but I really think that everything will come to the fact that the book is actually a bsd manga, which is why you can change reality with the help of the pages of the book, and that's why everything written should be logical and supported by something, because writing something in the book, the characters are literally writing their story. Do I need to remind you that Pandora's world is literally a book? Where the heroes, by the way, also decided to rewrite a couple of pages, but it didn't happen, it didn't happen. And I think that Natsume is someone like a juror from Pandora, because he unobtrusively follows everyone around in the form of a cat - for dazai in the dark era and for the agency in this time interval. Natsume is as much a dark horse as a juror, so I find this turn quite self-evident.

I recently had the lovely opportunity of participating in one of the final guest lecturers of my Digital Media Marketing Seminar series. Vanessa McQuade, VP of Sales and Marketing for intrigue media shared her journey and experience throughout her years in Marketing Strategy. She was an awesome speaker, and I was a huge fan in particular as we both attended the University of Guelph for the sane Marketing degree. To make circumstances even more interesting, my previous role was a Sales and Marketing Coordinator for a landscape construction company. The most unforgettable character that i have ever met. (My circle of friends)

The most unforgettable person I ever met is my circle of friends in senior high. Initially, I thought it would be boring since I was new to the environment due to the pandemic, and we all had different behaviors. I'm the person who is jolly, loud, and caring. On my first day as a senior student, I was quite reserved because I didn't know how to interact with people. After two years of being alone without friends, I was shy to expose myself. I looked around at the people nearby, feeling nervous to chitchat with them since they already had their own friends. At first, I thought I would always stay lonely since no one approached me. But suddenly, a girl named Vanessa approached me for a chat, and we became friends. We went everywhere together, having lunch and snacks. I thought Vanessa would be my only friend.

However, after three days, I met Thea, who is kind and genius. I approached her, fearing rejection due to my loud personality, but we also became friends. I was happy that even with my jolly and loud personality, they liked me. We bonded, shared experiences and stories, and it was a great day when we hung out. After a few weeks, we met Jelyn, who was also genius. She was trying to avoid her old friends because they had done some bad things to her. We approached her, and we couldn't believe that we became friends. We had the same goals: to pass our grades and excel in class. However, Vanessa and I didn't receive any awards; only Thea and Jelyn did. We were happy for them, greeting their achievements. We didn't feel jealous; instead, we found inspiration in their success. Thea and Jelyn helped us; we studied together, helped each other, and everything was fine.

In the second quarter of the first semester, a guy unexpectedly joined our group named Olviga. Olviga had a strong, independent personality, and we all clicked because we had similar vibes. It was great having a friend who didn't drag you down, who was willing to help. We spent many days hanging out and studying together, going to parks and malls. Even though our friendship faced many struggles, we didn't let those struggles break our bond. In the third quarter, all of us became honors students, and we were all happy about the outcome of our perseverance and dedication. Just helping each other, the outcome was good, and we were happy. In the fourth quarter, we all made it, but unfortunately, we didn't receive overall honors. Thea and Jelyn were honored, while Jay and Vanessa got 89%. However, we were still happy because of our friends' success. We celebrated, hung out, and had a good time

I can't believe that after many struggles in my life, I found my home in my friends who didn't let me experience my old traumas. They made me feel special and valuable. I met unforgettable people in my life who made me strong. All of my friends taught me to be strong, independent, dedicated, smart, and wise. There were so many lessons in our friendship, even though we had different personalities. One thing we all had in common was academics. We all dreamed that on graduation day, all of us would accept an award. We had many plans for ourselves and planned to go to the same school so that our bond would be stronger.

DM: Yeah, you kind are able to corner her later, we'll say that Moriarty and Edmund are out grabbing firewood, it's kind of late dusk, everyone is setting up and Vanessa is sitting in the carriage alone trying to kind of wait to go outside. But you guys are in the foothills today and it's chilly, so she's there by herself while everyone is setting up camp and it's easy to get her alone while she's clinging to the last bit of heat that she can.

Tark (OOC): cool cool cool. Since I don't know if Eudora wants to kick off the conversation or if Tark does. I wonder if doing a persuasion check now or maybe later when she's balking at saying something, I don't know?

DM: I kind of want to see how the conversation plays out 'cause she has been pretty forthcoming about her, she has been holding back on what the purpose of her journey is and why she's doing this. But she hasn't been shy about sharing her faith, so...

Tark: Okay okay.

DM: Kind of want to see how you guys approach this and if it feels like it warrants a persuasion check I'll ask for one. Otherwise, you might be able to get away with talking her into talking.

DM: She nods, she's sort of bundled up as much as she can be and opens her eyes and she's sort of been nodding off a little bit in the cold and gestures for you two to sit across from her.

DM: Okay, you know that the Chromatic Queen is a devil, or at least considered a devil by the Yuan-Ti. She isn't really spoken about often, you know there was some kind of betrayal. The tablet you guys found suggests as much or the wall that was being translated suggests she was trying to gather knowledge and the Platinum Crown became convinced that she was acting against him and punished her. This one frames that it was his paranoia. You would know with a 19 that the most common story is that she sough to usurp his throne and he became aware of her plans and killed her or punished her in some way, it's not really clear how 'cause it's ancient myth, but there was the sense of he triumphed over her and her plans were for naught. And of course, Valmoira is setting in belief that they were potentially both worshiped and that there was a schism, that's sort of the working theory and that maybe she wasn't always seen as a devil, but that's kind of the main modern take.

Werewolf Au let’s go

Max is a werewolf but she, and her parents, didn’t know until she started puberty. Ryan isn’t her biological father, which Vanessa and Ryan knew but had been keeping from Max until she was ‘old enough.’

Werewolves come in all different shapes and sizes and for most types being born from a human mom makes it really rare for the kids to fully shift unless they purposely take part in a whole blood drinking ritual thing. Max’s bio-dad just happened to be a type where it’s actually really common for mixed kids to have some kind of werewolf like attributes. Vanessa, who only saw him for a few weeks while broken up Ryan, had no clue about any of that.

The signs were starting to pop up before William’s death but Max’s wolf like attributes hit really strong after he died because of how much stress his death put on her. The only reason Chloe didn’t notice was because she was dealing with her own grief.

The Caulfields, being completely unprepared to deal with a teenage werewolf who was dealing with not only her normal anxiety but the death of someone she was close with, ended up finding a wilderness therapy camp for young werewolves. The camp was sold to them as being somewhere young wolves learned to control themselves and after a few months could be returned to ‘actual society’.

They listened to the advice of the camp and didn’t tell Max about where she was going until last moment so when they left Arcadia Bay Max had told Chloe the truth that she knew: they were moving to Seattle suddenly. In truth Max was heading towards camp for a few months and Ryan had to take a job in Seattle to afford it.

The camp sucks. It’s a complete shock to Max, who is anxious, shy and unfortunately one of the youngest there. There is no technology at all, barely any kind of schooling, and the kids are forced to do a lot of physical labor. The camp’s goal is to break kids and from there force control, similar to very bad dog training.

Max’s specific type of werewolf doesn’t lend well to this. At all. Most of the kids in the camp are mixes like her but she’s the only one that can shift at will at all times and her form is bigger than anyone else’s. When her anxiety mixes with both being pushed and her wolf form it causes her to get stuck and snap like a cornered animal. The camp keeps lying to her parents, sending them videos of Max, fully wolfed out on a sunny day, snapping at others without the full context. Which ends up prolonging her stay over and over again.

It takes four years before the Caulfields are finally fid up with the camp’s excuses and demand Max return home. They are of course horrified by what Max eventually shares (her trust in adults is completely ruined of course) Max has to be tutored because she’s fallen so far behind regular classes but she does catch up and askes if she can return to school at Blackwell. Arcadia Bay has a werewolf community, is away from her parents but not too far and is familiar.

It also might still have Chloe, who Max feels a unnecessary amount of guilt over lying to (even though she didn’t know she was lying at the time) and not being able to talk to as being able to write letters home was a extremely rare treat that Max only managed to get once.

What do I know about a PR stunt relationship? Again, I’m not an expert on the subject. I know as much as you do, plus, maybe a little bit more due to my research over the years.

PR stunt relationship, also known as PRomance, showmance, fauxmance (👈🏽 cover for celebrities who are both queer), and also as 🤫😂 ‘extremely camera-ready relationship’. I can personally define a PR as a work of persuasion. Picture PR people as shapers, as narrators, as storytellers, because that’s what they do. Whether it’s for protection, or to build or rebuild an image, or simply for promotion, they analyze the situation in order to create the best publicity/narrative/farce that benefits their client. They each have their own vision. Each of them has a plan that they sometimes tend to repeat with other clients because it works. Take as an example our friend Scooby Doo Sc**ter (Br**n), who is making it increasingly normal and common for his clients to use engagement rings as narratives.

A PR stunt relationship is nothing more than a PUBLICITY STUNT, as the word itself implies, aimed to get people and media attention. Publicists and celebrity management managers set up a fake public relationship to make fans and the general public believe it’s true. To give the couple more credibility, also friends, family, and artists friends of the couple get involved many times. To give you a practical example, let’s take PRen Tyren. They were at least 80% involved in each other’s lives.

Think about their birthdays and all the friends and families involved. Think about when Tymber even went to Graciela’s birthday, L’s great grandmother. Think about Tyres and brother Jauregui (who even made a song out of it with him). Think about L and Angel Gold (his sister). Think about L and Jailynn (his daughter). Think about The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, aka Tyren and, I think they were called Galsey? (Halsey and G-Eazy). Think even about Dinah who was part of the PR. I mean, you got it, right?

This type of business, whether involves the music industry, the film industry, the sports industry, etc., works this way for EVERYONE. They get at the same goal but with different tactics for each individual person, and they give a damn if in the meantime the person, their client, is bullied, or hated, or if they receive death threats, or if they start having anxiety problems, panic attacks, mental or physical health problems, etc. They don’t give a shit about their well-being in general. It’s just business to them. They’re just money with two legs. Can you picture a rolled-up dollar with two legs, can’t you? Good, because that’s what they are. Products. Products to sell.

There’s a very strict contract that both parties have to mutually agree on, and this contract is called a relationship contract. A relationship contract is a legally binding document for the duration of at least one year. It’s very VERY own custom-made because they write down what do they want to happen, then the duration (which can be extended) and the termination, and all the other things that each of them wants to include. The duration of a contract obviously varies from person to person and can depend on many things. But the main thing is that, it depends on the type of goal they want to achieve thanks to it.

For example, if the purpose is purely publicizing, such as the promotion of an album, or a movie, or whatever else, the relationship will last only for the necessary time that it takes to increase the interest of the public and indeed, to publicize the project. Another example could be when they want to hide the sexuality of one of the two people in the couple or both. Here, the duration of the contract could reach up to years, and could even lead to fake marriages.

We have examples of people who have done this to promote movies/sagas/franchises: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. We have examples of people who have done this to promote TV series: Blake Lively and Penn Badgley, Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse, Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush. We have examples of people who have done this to hide their true sexuality: Ricky Martin & Rebecca De Alba (for 17 motherfucking years), TS and.. and-and-and EVERYONE. We have examples of people who have done this to increase their notoriety, but then fell in love for real despite being super toxic for each other: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. We even have examples of real couples who have been asked to go public to boost ratings and publicize their show more than it already was per se: Lea Michele and Cory Monteith. [Yes, my friends, even real couples do PR stuff for publicity purposes]

Celebs fake relationships for profits. Profits such as more fame, more fans, more acquaintances, whether they were made together or thanks to or of the ‘partner’ themselves based also on the industry fields to which they are part, more freedom in other aspects of their life, both work and private, etc., and of course, money. The money profit received varies. It varies according to the duration (especially if they’re many years), to what they’re supposed to do, such as how many times they’re forced to kiss (yes, guys, that also counts), to the amount of time they have to spend together, aka being seen together, etc. It also and above all vary, based on how famous they are, or if one of them is not famous at all, or if one of them is more famous than the other. It’s obvious that the more famous the person is, the more money they receive. Both parties benefit from it, but the person who ACCEPTED to do the PR is obviously paid more also based on the notoriety they have as I told you. Here we start with a minimum of $5,000 received per month. The figure can also reach disproportionate numbers with five/six zeros per year.

It’s enough to think that 75/80% of all famous couples are fake. They gain more attention and ultimately, more money, and at the same time, fans and GP can witness an exciting ‘love story’ filled with drama, gossip, rumors, mysteries, and if they decide to end their story on a negative note, even with the possible and eventual shade-throwing which in turn leads to more attention, more gossip, etc., etc. Exactly how the teams on both sides wanted. You have to keep in mind that teams have the power in this case. It’s the PR teams who hold the power over the media to control the narrative, and not the other way around.

There are also many factors involved to keep in mind. People involved. We have friends, parents, paparazzi, and all those other people the celeb team involves to make the story look as believable as possible. For example, you know when the media say it was a source who gave them the news? Well, that’s the truth. Think about it. Those sources and those insiders are really insiders because they’re part of the team. They are those people who work for them and who release information, whether true or fake, to follow the narrative decided for the plan. Speaking instead of another topic that I’ve noticed in many asks. Paparazzi.

I don’t know if you know how paparazzi usually work, but especially the old-fashioned stalker type ones, are not known to hold back, in fact, on the contrary, they go way too far beyond the limits. Some of them know where the celebrities might be based on how popular the location is (clubs, restaurants, etc., where celebs often go), or other times, they’re called by waiters, valets, drivers, etc., etc. It’s a pretty aggressive and competitive industry, and paparazzi do everything they can to get images of famous people to sell to a newspaper or a magazine or on Instagram. There are differences between those in the US, those in Europe, etc. Many are also easy to control since eight times out of ten, it’s an organized thing.

As we well know, most of the time, the paparazzi are told where to be and when, probably by the celebrity’s PR agency itself. It’s ALL for publicity. Publicity of any kind. To promote a movie if it’s an actor, to promote an album if it’s a singer, to be noticed if that person’s project was a flop, for fake relationships or to ‘cover’ the real ones if one of the two is in a relationship that is not seen in a good light and therefore doesn’t suit the public eye, or if one of the two or both of them are queer. Seriously, for everything. And so they have paparazzi following them around so it looks like they’re more popular than they actually are, and the celebrities who make me laugh the most are those who, after calling them, act like the paparazzi were following them everywhere, some even getting angry and taking it out on them.

But it must also be said that celebrities who really don’t want the paparazzi’s attention, make sure that this doesn’t happen. Unlike the ones who want them and even have them called. There are many celebrities who want their pictures taken because, as we also know, any publicity is good publicity. These celebrities know how it works and not only accept that the paparazzi are part of the business, but use them as a tool for their publicity. It’s just business for them and a new opportunity to look good in magazines. They want to be in control of their image and in this way, they have it.

Also, some brands pay celebs to wear their clothing or accessories while out and about, and those staged shots that look like candid of a celebrity leaving a restaurant or a store, actually have multiple purposes, namely: celebrity endorsement of the product, big check for the celebrity for wearing the item, collaboration between the celebrity and paparazzi to get nice shots that look natural and random from which the celebrity then selects the ones they prefers, and image sales for the paparazzi agency. Everyone gets paid and everyone is happy.

Another thing to take into consideration? Depending on the celebrity’s profession, even their own contracts. In the sense that most of their contracts involve fake relationships. It also depends on the image that the celeb has and whether they’re trying to hide their sexuality. From this, their contracts can include a minimum of two PRs, or five, or eight, or even one that lasts for many years. They can also state that the same person with whom the celebrity has already had a PR in the past, may be again in the future. I’ll give you a practical example.

Imagine yourselves and a friend as a celebrity, okay? You guys are singers and your friend is an actor. You’ve just signed a 3-album deal lasting 5 years (meaning you have 5 years to complete and release 3 albums), and your friend an 8-year movie saga contract (let’s imagine 3 movies). Now let’s imagine that there are clauses in both your contracts that also include fake relationships. Your contract has two, and your friend’s contract has five, including one with one of their co-stars. Both of you must, ABSOLUTELY, have the number of PRs chosen for you over the course of those years, otherwise, you’re gonna be forced not only to fight a lawsuit that you will lose because you haven’t respected the contract, but also to pay a penalty that can reach up to six figures.

Doesn’t this ring a bell? Now do you also understand why Ca*ren, and most of the other celebrities, are forced to have PR stunt relationships? Because they have to! Because it’s part of their contracts if they want to keep doing what they do. Many of them have a say. They can decide whether or not to accept the person chosen for them, they can choose a person themselves, they can negotiate something in return if they accept a person they didn’t want, etc., etc. But many have no say in it.

And speaking of our Camr*n, more specifically, our L, and Kris. Guys… All the comments I’ve read around… *help* 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

L didn’t invite Kris there because he’s her boyfriend. And it certainly wasn’t her the one who asked her dad to delete the post because she didn’t want her fans to start attacking her new boyfriend or because she wanted to protect her relationship. IT WAS ALL DONE ON PURPOSE. Mi*e posted the picture and then deleted it ON PURPOSE! Why? Because (L and Kris’ teams) wanted the fans to see the picture to speculate! They wanted the fans to start attacking him! They want people to talk about it!! Is that really that hard to understand or to believe? Welcome to Tyren 2.0, my friends. That’s how it started with Taco Delivery Symbol, or did you forget that too? Go read the timelines if you really don’t remember.

I’ve lost count of how many times they’ve put off releasing L’s album over the years. They’d finally decided, and then it was postponed AGAIN, but because of COVID. EVERYONE had to postpone their programs actually, but L’s album was supposed to be released 100% this year (in September, in my opinion). Her PR should have started earlier. This is the only reason we have only had hints of Crispy McBacon (I’ve already found so many nicknames for his transphobic ass, sorry but I just can’t help myself) over time. Because they have postponed several times! *And also because, in my opinion, they were still looking for an alternative. The choice had to be between a guy (him) and a girl.*

But hey, at least they have an excuse to make this PR more real, you know? I’m already picturing what she’ll say because we all know the script by now: “Kris and I’ve been dating for a while now. I’m a private person. My personal life is my personal life and I want to protect my shit, you know? I don’t like it when people judge my life choices and that’s why I’ve never talked about it before. And I’d like it to stay that way”. Picture me shouting a “SURE, JAN!” when that happens, also because we will then slowly have more and more of their content. Aww, I’m already picturing them playing fake lovebirds and talking to each other in Spanish IN FRONT of a camera, in a live or an Insta-story maybe? 🤮🤮🤮

And speaking of postponed programs…

This is my version of how things could’ve turned out for our oh so beloved IwanttobeknownMila. Keep these dates in mind. Shon Mentos: The Tour, started on March 7, 2019, and ended on December 21, 2019. The Romance Tour, was supposed to start on May 26, 2020, and end on September 26, 2020.

They could’ve released Shirt’s documentary around the beginning of the Romance Tour. They could’ve made them break up almost at the end of the Romance Tour. He would’ve completed the album now, to then releasing it in January or February almost simultaneously with Cinderella’s release.

Why all this? Simple, cross-publicity or cross-promotion or whatever you want to call it. Choke recently said that they’d initially finished filming at the end of his tour and that they had to cut out a lot of parts. And what does all this mean? That the original documentary was another one.

In my opinion, the original was supposed to about his life on tour and only a small part, sneak peeks about the creation of Wonder. Instead, thanks to COVID, they changed direction and made it all about his album. The reason why they had to cut a lot of parts, was to make room for the last few months and therefore to the completion of the album. Which is why I think they finished filming in September/October (if anyone of u knows more, please feel free to let me know).

Without COVID they could’ve released his original documentary more or less around the beginning of the Romance Tour. News, tabloids, and people would’ve talked about them, both for the documentary and for the tour of our Mila= cross-promotion. They could’ve made them break up almost at the end of the Romance Tour. The distance, the misunderstandings, and why not, even the pathetic excuse that Toilet Brush used now when ‘they were in crisis/on a break’, that is, that he hadn’t been opened and vulnerable with her. People would’ve talked about them, Shitmila fans would’ve rebelled and cry their eyes out, news and tabloids would’ve gone crazy for who would tell the story better= cross-promotion. He would’ve completed the album now, with half of the songs he already had (from 3 years) and that he’s using on this album, and a half with songs that would’ve been about his broken heart, to then releasing it in January or February almost simultaneously with Cinderella’s release. Do I need to say this? You can imagine what would’ve happened, right? And what would that have led to? Oh yeah. Cross-promotion!

But anyway, guys, it didn’t happen. Just as we didn’t get L’s album as we hoped. But try to remember one thing, okay? Tyren’s contract started because L needed a new male PR and then they flipped the cards around and continued for him AS AGREED initially. Shakerstoremila’s one, on the other hand, is only and exclusively for HIM. It’s centered on him and will continue to be on him until the end. There’s no point in asking yourselves why Paruparo does this and why Paruparo does that, okay? She HAS TO do it. It’s in her contract and she cannot legally break it if she doesn’t want to face the consequences HER HERSELF has accepted. The sooner you understand this, the sooner you accept it, the sooner you can wait for the end more calmly. It sucks, I know. But that’s the way it is.

I’ve never liked Shon that much in the past. I discovered his existence only and exclusively thanks to Paruparo (IKWYDLS). I’ve always seen him as too fake and with a huge ego. I first became aware of his giant ego during the interview they did in 2015 at The Late Late Show with James Corden. Indeed, I’ve always wondered how someone like Mila could be friends with such an egocentric person. But you know how it is, I just brushed it off because I simply didn’t care about him, and also because at the time (2016 when I officially entered the fandom) the IKWYDLS era was already over for a while. BUT, my first impression of him became very true years later when they started this ridiculous charade.

Not only is he self-centered and with a huge ego, he’s also one of the most fake people I’ve ever seen. Why am I saying this? Because although I don’t know him and consequently, I don’t know if he was already like that before he became famous, Shon is the typical empty celebrity without a personality that has become the role he was set to be in the beginning. The perfect product. They wanted to sell the good guy. The sensitive and different from the others (and that’s where the bullshit of being a ‘singer-songwriter’ came from). And since this idea in itself only partially worked, they made him work on his body so they could sell that too. To sell the unreachable good guy. Superman, as he defines himself 😂. The problem of Shawn and his team, is with people who have not stopped to just look at the fake goody to shoes image that they wanted and want to continue selling.

The way I see him, Shoe’s just a selfish kid. Everything always revolves around him. Everything is and must be about him. He lives to be loved. He lives for the attention. He lives for the approval of others. Everyone must necessarily like him. There’s no one else besides him. Do you know what he reminds me of? He reminds me of a child who asks his mom for attention. ‘Mommy, how did I do? You liked it, didn’t you? Was I good? I can do better if you want, I know I can do better’. I don’t even think he realizes he’s like that because he’s so full of himself and so clouded by himself. Oh and, you know what I’ve been realizing lately? Many of his fans really believe he grew his hair out because Paruparo asked him to (I’d never have believed this bullshit even under torture), but now more than ever I’m convinced that he did it to copy one of his obsessions for years, that is, Matthew McConaughey. My personal problem with this look of his is the fact that he’s now starting to look more and more like Jon Snow (any Game of Thrones fans like me here?), aka one of the characters I can’t stand the most of that amazing TV series. And this, is making me dislike him even more.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I hate him and that I consider him the devil. In fact, I think there’s a lot but A LOT worse than him out there. I really, REALLY, dislike him, but I don’t hate him. Do I follow him on social media? Yes, but only on IG. Did I listen to his music? Yes, but illegally, and I liked some of his songs because as usual, I distinguish the art from the artist. I’ve never bought his music, I’ve never streamed it, I’ve never gone to one of his concerts, and the only views I’ve ever given him are only for music videos (not even all of them) on YouTube and only because other channels can’t violate copyrights by taking and posting them on their own. Indeed, you know how I’m gonna listen to his album? Thanks to the YouTube channels of his fans who will post his songs.

But anyway. I’ve dwelt too much on #pleasenoticeme #pleaseloveme, I’d say that’s enough. I’m gonna conclude with my final thoughts on the main topic of my post, that is, the fake PR relationships. I wanna explain to u guys why a fake relationship like Shazam’s and our Mila’s is so obvious as PR.

A PR relationship MUST create doubt in people’s heads and MUST NOT look perfect at all. Why? Because otherwise people WOULD NOT TALK ABOUT IT. If it looked like a basic relationship, a common relationship, people wouldn’t talk about it because they wouldn’t find anything strange about it. They wouldn’t speculate, they wouldn’t look for clues, they wouldn’t watch every move. They wouldn’t be thirsty. They’d just get bored. Yes, there would be the initial boom of the ‘new couple’, but then everything would end and people would move on to look for something else to entertain them. The main point of a PR relationship is to make people speculate, and if people don’t constantly talk about it, then it would be all pointless because it would make no sense to create a fake relationship in the first place.

Way to stop this act or any other act? Stop giving them fucking attention! You want to talk about it, speculate, look for evidence, and make theories amongst you friends? Do it! That’s great actually. I do it myself. But fucking tagging them?? 🤨😒🙄

If all the fans who know the real TRUTH stop talking about it by tagging them, tweeting them, etc. their ‘story’ would end. Sure, their teams would try to create something to attract attention again, like a kiss or a scoop, but if ignored even then, everything would end immediately. Why? Precisely because they were unable to complete their task. And in that case, the two celebs would ‘break up’ with a big scandal that would still bring attention back to them, although in this case, the attention would FINALLY be on both celebrities in a singular way and no longer as a couple. The next goal would be for fans and media to find out ‘what happened’ and ‘why’, while for managers it would be to create a scoop on those questions that keep them talking about them, and if all goes well, maybe even get them ‘back together’, and so on, until they have a better idea. But, if they fail even then, even though they’ve not reached the date scheduled in the contract, they would ‘break up’ without any more surprises.

Hey so regarding inazuma and Baal I have some head cannons and your my favorite writer so I thought I’d just dump them all here.

Insazuma is the nation of eternity right? And Baal is basically the second archon after the original one died off somewhere presumably 500 years ago during the destruction of khaenri'ah.

The vision hunt decree was created for the Perdue of “eternity” and subsequently the people who’s visions were taken lost all their ambition. You get where I’m going here? Maybe Baal isn’t acting out of greed, but are justificing her actions to protect her people? The people of khaenri'ah had ambitions greater than anyone in that world could comprehend; they lived withought the guidance of a God, sought knowledge well beyond their limits and created destructive machines capable of “tilling” an enter battle field. Already we can see a shift in the archons perspective towards celestial- venti stated outright that he doesn’t like celestial, and Zhongli not only retired from his role as an archon but placed several meticulously planned tests to gouge his nations strength and stability in the face of a destructive god. Both nations, in a way, are becoming more similar to khaenri'ah in that they are both Godless, independent, and free from omnipotent influences.

Here’s my theory; The Goddess Baal, before inheriting the title of Archon, had witnessed the massacre and destruction of the khaenri'ah people and in order to prevent her nation from suffering the same fate she had launched the vision hunt decree to remove the people’s ambitions before it consumes them. She has witnessed the power of celestia, and in order to avoid the same fate she has made it her goal to separate Inazume from khaenri'ah in all forms and that’s why she continues on her role as archon instead of watching from the sides like venti or Zhongli.

Another thing, a small spoiler warning for those who haven’t finished the quest

I think people who are emotionless used to be the most emotional and heartfelt kind of individuals. Ayaka describes the Raiden Shogun as a cold and emotionless being, akin to a manager or something (I can’t remember her exact words) and I think that’s because Baal had been planning the decree for a long time now and had to steel her resolve knowing the impact it would have on the common folk. In her mind, what she is doing is better for the lo run and is necessary for the survival of her people.

This is just a theory, I haven’t finished the quest myself but it’s been weighing on me for quite sometime now. Anyways, I hope you have a wonderful day!

YOU’RE SO SMART, AND YOU'VE SPURRED ON MY LOCKED AWAY THEORIES THANKS. and I thought similarly, though now that you mention it, baal behaving selfishly seems like she could be protecting her people. after all, the vision hunt decree only happened recently (I think months to a year before the traveler’s arrival in mondstadt), so something shifted dramatically between the archons and celestial for baal to do that in the first place.

me and my friends chat about theories like this all the time on discord and everything you said makes so much sense! I also thought zhongli stepping away from his role as an archon was not just his way of freeing himself, but his way of seeing how his people would fair without a god (this is legit confirmed i think); and they’ve done just fine, proving to celestia that they’re wrong in believing nations and people need a ruling governing body, like an archon. but I feel like baal is still just selfish, even if she’s doing this to protect her citizens, my gut is just telling me she could be both selfish and also be doing this to protect her people.

but about the archons; my friends and I have tied the archons to tons of real life lore and myths, and something that keeps popping up with all the archons is different types of religion and beliefs; we found out that they each represent or are similar to the seven princes of hell (and there’s something about them coming up in demonology a crap ton too, and the similarities are a bit too similar... PAIMON IS MENTIONED TOO AS A KING OF HELL IN DEMONOLOGY LORE AND THAT'S NOT VERY CUTE.... I HAVE SO MANY THEORIES FOR PAIMON YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW!). but I think the archons are like 50/50 bad and good (like they’ve done bad things willingly or not before the travelers arrival aka destruction of khaenri’ah) but celestia is the main antagonist, I’m 100% positive of that.

the hydro archon is said to know not to make an enemy of celestia/the divine, so I feel if any of the gods were to back celestia, it would be the hydro archon. but, this leads me to my first question; what in the world does celestia think about the gnosis’ being taken? I’m gonna assume they may care a little less about venti and zhongli because they’ve basically retired, but the other archons? they’re still active and actively represent celestia, so I’m curious to know what celestia would do when baal’s is taken (we know that she’s the next target, because one of the tsaritsa’s goals is to take them all). will baal be punished since she’s still an active ruling archon, or not? something is telling me she will, but who knows...

and this may sound obvious, but i think the archons represent celestia’s own ideals, although over time with the change of archons and maybe shifted opinions in celestia, said archons have changed and now their actions contradict what their title is, I think the reason behind that is because they’re the original and last reigning archons over their respective nations, but the others? they represent ideals, and some of their actions or just people interfering (harbingers talking the gnosis') have contradicted what they stand for entirely.

for example,

venti (ideal is freedom): his is so ironically obvious, but his gnosis was taken from him, against his will; there's nothing free about that. and he also retired from being an archon, and because of that went into hiding, also nothing free about that either; yet he represents freedom. you see what i'm trying to say? lol.

zhongli (ideal is contracts): nothing for him because i don't know much, but i think it's funny how he represents contracts, which are usually very tedious and there's a lot of depth in them, and he just gave his gnosis up so easily and willlingly (even if he has his reasons) by creating a contract like ???? it's funny to me.

baal (ideal is eternity): I haven’t started the archon quest yet for her, but I know she says she is the most eternal of all and sees herself as everlasting, but she’s legit younger than a good few of the archons (venti and zhongli so far!). I also think the original archons ideal was eternity and that’s what they had hoped for their people, but after the fall of khaenri’ah, war, and their death, baal came into power and realized it would be a threat to celestia if the people believe in eternity (like I said, something shifted severely after the war, because a lot of the original archons died or disappeared and their ideals almost became shrewd and a thing of the past with the new ones who took their places) therefore creating the vision hunt decree to get rid of visions; with more people coming into contact with visions, or maybe even when they realized humanity would be fine without an archon ruling over them, war would break out again and this time celestia would be the target. speaking of targets, this is random, but there’s an overwhelming presence of military surrounding/in inazuma and maybe that’s not just to collect visions and because war broke out amongst the people there, but it’s for protection against celestia and the harbingers (I think the other archons know about venti and zhongli's gnosis' being taken, so they're all weary). if baal were to overthrow celestia or betray them somehow, I’m sure since she’s an active archon they would retaliate.

the dendro archon (ideal is wisdom): the dendro archon is way more obvious, as dainsleif says he’s less than wise, but that’s his ideal... he’s also the youngest, so that’s another contradicting fact; young people are often called unwise.

the hydro archon (ideal is justice): I know nothing about her, but she represents justice. I don’t have a solid explanation for her, but based off of theories and if for a moment we assume celestia is the main antagonist, she is said to be afraid of celestia but seemingly backs them by not leaving like venti and zhongli... considering what they’ve done, I’d say she can’t possibly represent the ideal of justice correctly if what had happened to khaenri’ah was far from just, especially since the archons and celestia were behind it but her ideal is justice?

murata (ideal is war): I have no idea about her at all either, there's not much... but considering vanessa was able to pass into celestia when she died and she's considered the children of murata, I think we'll get more info on celestia then too, and more about khaenri'ah, since she's the god of war. she's gonna have the DEETS I tell you!!

the tsaritsa (ideal is unknown): nothing contradicting for now! she is a bit confusing because of how little info we have, but I have reason to believe she's against celestia, hence her taking the gnosis'. for now, until confirmed, I think her ideal or rather goal is to get rid of celestia. i don't think she has a gnosis or vision tbh, maybe the archon before her did and she's assumed to have one as well or maybe it even got taken away... but, i think that's one of the reasons she's created delusions, they're said to be a lot more dangerous and powerful (i think) than visions too. there's also this thing I found out about the gnosis' being designed after chess pieces, and how although there are 7 archons, there are only 6 chess pieces (pawn, rook, bishop, knight, queen, and king)... meaning one of the archons (not venti or zhongli, because we know what their gnosis' look like) has a gnosis that isn't designed after a chess piece... or in my words, doesn't have one at all. aka the tsaritsa... I think the tsaritsa not having a gnosis fits too snugly with her actions so far. and don't get me wrong! if we assume she doesn't have a gnosis, I don't think she's retaliating because of that, i think she just wants to change or get rid of celestia entirely. like this makes perfect sense because the tsaritsa is the only active archon seemingly and openly going against celestia's ideals, whatever they may be...

and about me saying the archons are "evil" or in the wrong for what happened to khaenri'ah (even if they were forced by celestia), in the archaic petra set, ZHONGLI IS SAID TO HAVE BEEN AN EMOTIONLESS AND MERCILESS GOD WHEN HE SLAUGHTERED COUNTLESS OTHER GODS DURING THE ARCON WAR, in order to fulfill a contract of sorts. this is why I think there were ulterior motives during the war and although yes, for now, it seems the archons were forced into complying during the war, I really think they had some willingness too.

at the end of my ted talk I have come to the conclusion that we can't trust the archons until we know more or celestia like... ever AND I STAND WITH THE REGULAR DEGULAR PEOPLE!!!
