IT'S TIME FOR NEWS!

because there are news!

i won a thing.

i won a writer-scholarship for my wip The Five Senses and i am still over the moon and sort of helpless with myself. but i actually did it! it was an anonymous contest and the jury decided to award my project this way by only reading the first chapter and the summary. i will get a professional book-person as my mentor who will help me develop this project and ~ teach me the ways ~ to work on my weaknesses while i also get money to have the time to actually write on this. (help i actually need to write this now)

this is, of course, no agency or publishing deal yet, but it's such a big step to me and will look good in a potential query one day (when it's done). and most importantly, it's so much reassurment and motivation to me. someone "official" likes my work. i will need weeks to truly believe it x)

especially, since it's all happening in german and writing in german again after writing so much in english for so long has been... just weird. my german writing always sounds 10 times worse to me x) so yeah! those were big news number 1! and also regarding these news:

i haven't uuuh updated my taglists in a while. and regarding my Big Projects (the five senses, TAP & in the land of twilight), i probably won't post that much more, unless it's news (like the above!!) of a more official kind. that is why i have decided:

no singular taglists anymore, except for A Guide to Liminal Matters and Ghastly Kinds, because that's a uhhh tumblr exclusive x) but for the ones i intend to probably publish one day, there will be only one taglist for official milestones that might be interesting to share. i will tag everyone from every taglist below, and want to kindly ask that you let me know if you want to be on the official stuff taglist, because i will just not use the singular taglists anymore. hope that works for everyone!!

Tumblr feels so weird to me. It started like this very cool space to exchange ideas, get to know new people and express your truest self. Now I'm seeing all of you all grown up and changed/deactivated blogs and realize we've grown apart from each other and have outgrown this once familiar space that now feels like a void. Now I'm here like "wow, growing up is just as weird online as it is in real life :')"

Oh nooo thank you this was a sweet message, I am not embarrassed because I had fun and also I wanna visually teach my friends how to solve it too so it’s all good! I made them specifically for mine! I know there is an easier solution and people have posted the equation on reddit for those that wanna speedrun DH2.

As for Jindosh he is mean and I guess that’s why I like him sjkdnajhwdb he can mock me all he wants I did solve it now didn’t I?

SUMMARY:

Rikard Morgensen is special. An orphan with a magic sought by kings and warmongers, he wanders into a trap of his own making, nothing more than a tool for the debauched nobility claiming to have saved him. 

(His food is laced with poison, and yet he does not bite the hand that feeds him.)

Rikard Morgensen is special. But, left to die after he expends his worth in war, no amount of cleverness or strength will save him. No, the only thing that matters to a deity bored of existence is entertainment.

Sent back to a time before it all went wrong, he’s given twelve years to get his revenge—to unseat the royals that brought Vedenhav to ruin, to save his sister, and most importantly, to make the lives of those who wronged him a living hell.

HELLRAISER a wip introduction

genre: action

themes, tropes, etc: anti-hero, revenge, gray morals, found family, organized crime, all female rock group, vigilantes, an entirely corrupt city, 80s rock anthems, abba specifically the song take a chance on me

very brief about: Harper only ever wanted to become faceless in the crowds of Ash Valley, but what he considers to be normal stands out in a city where the bizarre and downright peculiar are celebrated. He dreams of a quiet life where no one knows his name, but times are tough when you consistently find yourself in the wrong place at the right time in a town watched by a prominent mob family that seemed to have eyes in every corner. It's even tougher when the girl of your dreams is the bassist of a world famous rock band whose vocalist was brutally murdered the previous summer and unfortunately for him she's hell bent on seeking revenge.

main cast: 

james harper - new to ash valley. he’s running from his past mistakes but finds himself mixed up in someone else’s shenanigans. he loves his car more than life itself

mabel song, prime - leader and bassist of the yesterdays. hobbies include physically fighting the paparazzi and throwing knives. public’s opinion of her is extremely divided. 

erik song, havoc - missing since the death of diana, the lead singer of the yesterdays. every now and then there are whispers of a reported sighting, but its never a good thing.

connie bright, atom - drummer of the yesterdays. never seen without drumsticks or a knife, most oftentimes both.

augustus imari - once a ballet prodigy, retired his dreams after a mysterious accident resulted in a leg amputation. very sweet boy i love him.

stefan russo, titan - spoiled and violent son of the russo family, the only person in ash valley that hates rock music (says a lot abt his character)
