In Baltimore City, MD: 9-year-old super sweetheart, child-friendly kitty with the cutest head wobble needs rescue - BARCS, Baltimore MD
- Senior in Need -
Bob-Bob- 9 years, altered female, 6.9lbs
FELV-/FIV-
Sweet, 9-year-old Bob-Bob was surrendered to the shelter for "peeing and being old." Despite her age and the circumstances, Bob-Bob is full of life and personality, with a heart as golden as her fur; this affectionate lady has a knack for melting hearts with her gentle demeanor and loving nature.
Bob-Bob thrives on human companionship and is known for her warm greetings and snuggly cuddles. She adores spending quality time with people and is always ready to shower her family with love and affection. While she may prefer to be the only cat in the household, her fondness for children and new people make her an ideal companion for a young family seeking a furry friend to enrich their lives.
Upon examination, our vets noted that Bob-Bob has grade 2/4 periodontal disease with tartar on the back teeth, cataracts in both eyes, is blind in the right eye, and she has a very obvious head wobble that can be interrupted with petting. A neuro is recommended to further assess, and we are monitoring her litterbox usage due to her surrender notes. A full medical summary can be provided upon request.
No senior should spend their days in the shelter, and due to Bob's medical on top of her age, we are hoping to find placement for her ASAP.
Please let us know if your organization can help!
Thank you,

Back in November the cat rescue organization I use to volunteer at started a fundraiser where you could buy their foster cats an advent calendar (full of cat specific treats/toys). You don’t know who your calendar is going to but they would let you know after they were sent out. I just got an email about the kitty that received mine:
Lilibet is quite regal so she is named after Queen Elizabeth. She and
her kittens were recently found running around a Canadian tire store,
causing havoc, setting off the alarms etc. but the staff could not catch
them. Vokra trappers came in and trapped them. Lilibet and kittens are now in separate fosters. Lilibet is a lovely, sweet kitty who will be ready for adoption soon!
Lilibet! 🥹😭🥹😭
Please consider making a donation to VOKRA at vokra.ca for the holidays or your local/preferred animal rescue. 💖

I looked down just in time to see him finish settling in and give this deep, satisfied sigh
