This was going to be a long text post about how I love Xenomorphs and am mad that they don't make cool scary movie about them anymore.

But then I found this image of one, made by a "team" with a weird name who is selling a "high-quality" CG render of a Xenomorph on a website where you can buy it for $210, I guess to use in a video game?

This is IP owned by Disney. I don't understand how this is legal.

I got lost in the weeds on this.

You look at this and tell me what the hell is going on here.

This is a Lithuanian-based website for a company that also has an office in Orlando.

So is Disney aware of this? Are they cool with it? Are they working with these people?

Why is everything on the Internet like this now, shady European white boys skirting American legal loopholes for baby-mama money? "Powered by AI." Because of course it is.

This is my favorite part:

I clicked on that "Help" tag to get dirt. I didn't register an account. This is just what their info page looks like, before it tells you the name of the CEO of the company, and their physical branch office addresses.

Hacking is easy when the website is bad!

Little Friends

For almost a year now a percentage of sale of my 3D models on CGTrader has been donated to charity. I must admit that these are quite modest donations and even conditions for participation in charity were not always reached. However this did not prevent transferring part of earnings to charity. The money was sent to shelters for homeless animals and for treatment at a veterinary clinic. At times these are difficult cases for animals and in order to carry out an operation to save animal money is needed immediately. 

In such situations a model such as interest accumulation is no longer appropriate. A percentage of sale of 3D models will continue to be donated to charities for abandoned and lost pets. Now this will happen as far as possible depending on situations. These are different charitable foundations in different cities and unfortunately there is not enough money to help everyone, however someone will still receive help. In any case thank you for your support and fact that together we make this world a better place.

Sorry to anyone who saw this before -- I messed up the tags and had to repost!

So, I’m pretty sure I saw a drawing of Ryne, Urianger, and Thancred in a windowseat in Il Mheg, and it has lived in my brain rent-free since then. I’ve tried to find it so I could link to it here as the inspiration for this piece, but I’ve had no luck finding it. Let me know if you do?

Anyway, I just wanted to create something of these three being a family, with Thancred still gripped by his old grief and trauma and self-imposed isolation. I wanted to make it clear that they were in the scene together, but also to give Ryne and Urianger a dreamlike quality, to capture Thancred’s longing for their warmth and easy familiarity, but also unwillingness to let himself believe. They’re looking up, off into the distance and the future, and Thancred has turned his back to it. But he’ll get over it soon!

I had a lot of fun putting this together! I used a lot of the furniture and scenery from the Crystarium, of course, but also some of the regular housing pieces as well as some flower meshes from CGtrader.  There are still things I’m not happy with, but eh. Been working on this since Winter Break and it’s time to set ‘er loose.

Today's episode of yes, I'm still making this comic, but I don't have as much free time as I used to. Per the previous comic, I made the line art for this one on my iPad rather than my laptop.

I was so excited for Leia's new lightsaber. Those with a keen eye might notice that it has aspects from both Vader's lightsaber and Padme's blaster.

The new outfits will be what the characters will be wearing for the remainder of the comic. I too will mourn the loss of Starkiller's previous outfit.
