Hello, Anon. I have more treats. A continuation because Danny mercilessly bullying Dick is the best thing I've ever written. This boy will never let Dick live Mold Man down. Moldgate? Moldageddon?

Anyways, this is directly after the last snippet. Same scene.

"The Ghost of uncleaned apartments past is coming back to haunt you." Jason said matter of factly, losing the battle to keep his laughter inside when Dick's face transformed into one of the deepest betrayal. Danny was holding onto his act with his fingernails, but Jason could feel the thick amusement clouding the air, feeding his own raucous laughter as he struggled to get in a breath, eventually failing at that and delving into silent laughter.

"But if you're really set on using mold as your method of world domination, I suppose we can help you. We can work something out in the lab instead of you using your living room as an illegal bio-lab. It is only isn't safe for you to keep your experiments so close to your food. Trust me, you do not want animated food attacking you first thing in the morning." Danny continued speaking, voice rising to be heard over Jason, who had collapsed half off the couch, head buried in the cushions to try to contain himself.

"Am I still dreaming? This has to be a dream, right?" Dick was asking the air now, and Jason tried to raise his head, only to catch Danny's eyes and fall back into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.

Stacey's Mom Qui-Gon really does return to Coruscant as that Community gif of the pizza/fire, huh. His current padawan is seriously injured in the hospital after being gutted by a Sith(!). His former padawan has fucked off in a rage after depositing the Sith's head in the Council chambers. Everyone keeps looking at Qui-Gon as if they don't understand how much WORSE everything would be if Anakin had been allowed to train Obi-Wan. Would Coruscant still be standing? Qui-Gon's already done his part!

tbh one of the things im like most looking forward to for yall is that most of the entire backstory of how qui-gon came to train obi-wan and how anakin came to NOT train obi-wan is told by qui-gon without anakin there - it's qui-gon's version of events and history that obi-wan hears first

i just feel like there's so many scenes in this fic where obi-wan learns things about anakin or hears things from other people about anakin's actions (which show how much master skywalker cares for him) while stubbornly wearing his own blinders that it felt right for this revelation about his and anakin's past to come from Not Anakin once more

before the final scenes of actual conversation between the two of course, wherein they actually talk to each other and they're both very honest and very direct

So I keep thinking about how Shadow Kirby is confirmed in canon to be just as powerful and capable as regular Kirby, so long as he can push past his own reluctance and fears. Then I started thinking about the unique color palette he has for the Fighters games, if that could be a sort of visual indicator of him reaching that full potential. Then I started thinking about who was around to teach him these skills, and the differences in their techniques, and how SD’s treatment of SK might be vastly different from DMK, and how that affects the relationship that DMK & SD might have, and how it all ties in to the sociopolitical climate of the Mirror World as a whole, and oh stars dammit am I making another AU again???

On an unrelated note, screw the Mirror World for giving everyone in it just the most annoying color palettes to shade. Grays on grays on grays and sometimes red but mostly grays. I am languishing in render hell and ready to move on to the next one thank you. Too many headcanons - not enough time or hands or energy.

UPDATE 03/01/24: Changed SK's eyes to purple instead of blue, and changed DMK's cape from gray to dark red.
