Got asked if I had any tips for new artists during my stream today and I figured I'd put them here too:

Draw, seriously, just do it. This is the hardest part and also the most crucial. Just run at it screaming and refuse to back down. You just gotta do it.

Always do your wrist/arm/shoulder stretches before drawing and make sure to take breaks to stretch/re-center yourself if you've been going for a few hours or more! (Here's the stretches I do, and they help with gaming and writing and desk work too, they're just a good idea all around!)

Try to draw less from the wrist and more from the shoulder(move your arm more and your wrist less basically). That and stretches will help you avoid carpal tunnel which is never fun.

Consistency is only something you need to worry about if you're like, working in the industry/doing some types of commissions(like an twitch emote bundle or a comic book). If you're just starting out or only drawing for yourself it literally doesn't matter. Like, I don't think I've ever drawn a character exactly the same way twice, it's fine.

Don't do warm up drawings, do warm up scribbles. Doodles circles and squares and lines and swirls until you feel nice and lose, then start actually drawing.

If you're between 50-90% done with something and you REALLLY start to hate it, keep going. You just gotta power through, cuz chances are it's perfectly fine(or even really good) and your monkey brain is being a jackass coward chugging that impostor syndrome juice.

If you finish and you still hate it put it away until tomorrow or the day after and then look again. Never EVER trust your negative opinions about your art(or anything) if it's after like 8pm.

Re: the above points, as an exampke last night I HATED my new pngtuber model that I'd spent literally all day on. Went to bed and in the morning was like "oh this is good actually". Trust me, tired burnt out you is not a good judge of quality, especially the quality of something you've been staring at for like 4-5 hours.

If, after all that, you still hate it, that's okay too. It's a bummer, but don't try to force yourself to like something just cuz you spent a lot of time on it. Chalk it up to experience and move on to the next thing!

Do everything in your power to not compare yourself to others. It won't get you anywhere. Instead learn to look at other people's art and find what you like about it and try to break it down or do it that way yourself. Dont fully copy/trace ofc, but really think about how something looks and see if you can figure out why you like it and/or how it's done.

OH MY GOD USE REFERENCES. Anyone who says not to use references is talking out of their ass. You think figure drawing classes are bad?? That artists draw from life just for shits and giggles?? No, its because you need to know what shit looks like to draw it!!! USE REFERENCES!!!

Same with youtube tutorials, especially for learning to use digital art programs. Do take everything with a grain of salt ofc(we've all seen the "masculine vs feminine eyes" shit or the trash trend of "I fix my viewer's bad art uwu" ignore that crap) but you can learn all kinds of shit for free on youtube.

If you can feel yourself burning out fucking stop drawing a take a break. Even if you're in the middle of something, or part of you wants to keep drawing. Burn outs suck and it's gonna take a lot longer to get over it if you push yourself until you crash instead of just acknowledging that you're hitting your limit and stopping for a few days. The art will be there when you get back, your health should always come first!

If someone tells you thick line art or anime style or whatever is bad, ignore them. All art is subjective. Draw what you want how you want. Even if it's all thick line art or you stick to sketches or only do anime stuff or chibis or humans or furries or goddamn stick figures just draw literally whatever. If this is just a hobby for you there's no reason to push yourself. Draw what makes you happy, fuck everyone else.

Anyway that's all I've got for now, might add more tomorrow when I'm less tired(and I encourage additions for other artists as I'm self taught and had to learn most of this the hard way and thus I'm sure I've missed stuff) but yeah, just draw my dudes, this is supposed to be fun. You deserve to have fun.

New art challenge: post all of your souyo tf art :D

Honestly, not sure I can as I have so many of them, and a lot of them are old sketches I'd want to clean up before sharing, but of the ones I've made over the years, here are the most finished ones, ordered into a somewhat organized set

Neko Effect

a series of drawing from mostly 2020-2021 involving a fanfic I also wrote (and kinda left of an infinite hiatus. sorry bout that), involing the two of them getting cursed with a rare new status effect "Neko" which seemingly slowly turned them into cats. Yu adjusts to it pretty well, as he is want to do, while Yosuke has his more panicked response that is both super cute and what makes him a way too fun TF target.

2. Birthday Gift

what started as a birthday drawing of Yosuke for his B-day in 2021 kinda turned into this silly little sequence. of them turning into cats (with me as a cat playing an extra, cuz why not). I think this one was set in the Quirk AU I made? short version, basically going into the TV world and conquering your shadow gave you a super power similar to the quirks of MHA, but with the fun added twist that they were usually based in some way of the persons insecurities.

iirc, Yosuke has a power called Malleable, which was basically shapeshifting, but without the ability to directly control it. or at least, the people around him and his environment seem to have a greater control over what form he takes than he himself does. Yu has a power called Mirror, the ability to copy other people's power, holding only 1 at a time, and usually without the downside. for copying Yosuke's Malleable, Yu is still quite susceptible to outside influences, though he does have a small bit better at controlling it while he has it.

a lot of my random, usually less explicable TFs of them can prolly be tossed into this camp somewhere.

3. Commissioned Colorings

so, I have literally hundreds of sketches and doodles, all posted to my Patreon as one of my rewards. I draw 1 doodle (more closely a finished line art) a day and post it to my Patron discord, and every month post that months collection of doodles to Patreon for record keeping. I have been doing this more or less every day since 2021, so that's nearly a thousand sketches that can range from more tf sequences like the dogsuke sequence i recently colored, to more general ideas for one of my game projects I work on. if a patron likes a specific daily doodle and wants it specifically finished up, like these above, they can commission me at a significantly reduced price to take the drawing from a doodle to a completed work. because otherwise its left to my whims if I feel like coloring them

4. Seriously, so many doodles

seriously, sooooo many doodles. here's just a few i feel like sharing, plus one of my livestream sketch sessions (oh yeah, I do a free sketch request livestream every 1st sunday of the month over on twitch btw) which got a monkey-yu and batsuke, plus a chibi sketch of them being silly.

and that's just art of Souyo being cute and silly and tfable. i also have a fair amount of just Yu and or Yosuke solo getting tf'd into stuff in general. (you may have stumbled into one of my hyper fixations X3)

hi hi i was about to go to bed but i started thinking about chibi luke in the new lounge and

this specifically makes me think luke would have been a marine biologist.

like early on in the game we know that luke is actually pretty good at swimming. take lost gold, at the end of the event luke is diving down into a cave to retrieve the mask,, almost as if someone had been trained to retrieve samples from the ocean floor, huh luke??

'but sam', i hear you say, 'u could argue that artem knows how to swim, would that make him also a candidate for this theory?' and to that dear reader i say no, not really. cuz surface level swimming like artem does would be wildly different than diving super deep with an oxygen tank. and then there's also luke in his new anni summer outfit. he has a snorkel and some goggles. u know what those are good for? observing the ocean.

i'm also gonna go out on a limb and say that he was entirely passionate about marine biology if he chose to write about the pea crab, which a quick google search will tell you is a parasite. this man was in deep and it's so cute.

anyway it also got me thinking of how luke is good with animals (re: peanut, peter pearce, ban ban), not as innately good as disney princes vyn, but up there. and i think you need to at least know what animals you're working with as a marine biologist,right? you have to make sure they're relaxed and you don't hurt them while taking samples and measurements. it then spiraled into thinking that because luke always wanted to be a hero, he could have wanted to be a marine biologist with a specialty in the conservation of species. and honestly? it checks out. why? because of animal testing or unethically acquired ingredients that could mess up the ecosystems of animals.

'sam,' i hear you say, 'what the fuck where did that come from'. and to you dear reader i say think about it. the nxx drug has human trials and one of the cases, specifically the one luke was in charge of in episode 5, had pollution of water that genetically altered the fish in the river.

so, in his great selflessness (or his martyr complex) luke left behind his passion of marine biology to enlist in the nsb after he found out stuff during his research so he could protect both the people of the world and also it's animals. and if that ain't the most luke pearce thing he could do idk what is.

I also want to apologize if my English negotiation skills are unsatisfying, I’m not a native speaker-

So, as I said earlier, my au is about Billy not being broken into a sorority house, but into a monastery. Although I changed his backstory and gave him certain motivation for killing girls, I tried to keep Billy’s personality and character cuz these funny things are the reason why we love him!:)

Backstory!

You know…Simping over a bastard who sexually assaulted his own little sister is kinda dubious if we talk about the 1974 black Christmas and the sister-daughter story is too nasty, speaking of the remake, so…

In my AU Billy is raised in a strict, religious and kinda poor family, as all the money go to the church. He is raised by his mother and a stepfather, who is actually guilty for the religious fanaticism in his family. Poor Billy was also molested as a child and teenager by saint fathers (i hope i called them right cuz I literally have no idea what name do they have…)

These conditions formed three things in Billy: love for rock and rebellion, hatred for religion and sociopathy.

Here’s a little chibi art I made a month ago for article, where I explained my setting’s lore! The article is in Russian tho, so unfortunately I can’t show it to you. CHECK ALT!!!

So, remember that part from remake where Billy was in asylum? The same thing happens here too, but why he got in there?

When Billy’s mother got pregnant by his stepfather, Billy was terrified. He really loved with all his heart the little tiny girl who was ready to see the world. The problem is, the world was too cruel. He didn’t want her to be molested, he didn’t want her to be pressured by strict rules of religion. So, one day, he made an attempt on the life of his stepfather. In any case, unsuccessful. He survived and Billy was sent to the asylum, from where he later escaped. After the runaway, Billy found his new home in the attic in one of the most big Canadian monastery.

With wounds on his heart from the duplicity of religions, since then he has taken revenge on the hypocritical nuns. He sent threats, made obscene calls, did nasty things, and even killed with impunity, until one day he was caught by a nun.

Who’s that girl?

The second main character! Her name is Martyr Efsevís! But everyone prefers call her Martha, as she’s not a martyr at all.

A long time ago, a nun lived in this monastery. One day an incubus came to her and defiled her. She bore him a child, who was Martha. This nun was expelled, but Marta herself was left in the monastery for education, as they wanted to raise a pious nun from her. Fun fact! Her color palette only contains black and white, these are her natural colors: white skin, black hair.

When she found out about Billy…She was charmed. Billy’s actions, manners, presence…Everything about him seemed like another world to her. She really wanted him to show her the world of darkness. The world that best suits her true nature. That's why she won’t tell anyone about him.

He was still worried and annoyed by her tho- their relationship will develop, but now he just hates her.

OOF. FINALLY.

It was really fun, but complicated. Hope I could handle the challenge to tell about them properly. I still a little bit worried cuz I think my description of Martha shows her like a Gacha demonic Mary Sue, BUT SHES NOT LIKE THAT I SWEAR😭😭😭 I’m also planning adding more side characters, so I’ll keep you in touch!

The common thread is that 86% of these were memes posted to 4chan's /co/ board. When I WAS. A YOUNG MAN. I just liked whatever I saw other people posted cuz i couldn't form my own opinions yet. I think that's just a general age thing, as you get older you hone your personal tastes more, whether it's books or yuri or food, and it's less satisfying to wait around at the buffet for other people's tastes.

It's a lil interesting how much easier it was to just let other people feed me things to enjoy. Now that I'm older and pickier, I have to proactively seek very specific tastes and sometimes make dishes for myself!

Some thoughts on thots:

Slade/Robin: This is like, baby's first "dark ship". Lots of 8 yr olds saw the Apprentice episode, and pogged out cuz of the evil groomy tension. Then you get all the 8 yr olds posting their dark yaoi on deviantart LMAO.

The default back then (And still now?) is evil daddy dom Slade making poor widdle babby Robin cry. I didn't have particular tastes back then in regards to that ship cuz I was 8 and just followed what was popular LOL. In [current year], I only like the pairing if Slade gets his anus slapped and slorped by the dude he tried to groom. What can I say, I get older and the old gnarsty dudes keep getting older too...!

Also, I'm really shocked that new people are getting into this pairing because of Teen Titans Go's chibi Robin. It's time to bring chad manlet Dick to public consciousness!!!

Kefka/Terra: 👴 Back in my day, I did not see any FF6 shippy stuff on the internet at all. The doujins and fanart were mostly for the FF7 and above 3d games. So this was something I thought up for myself while playing the game, without any outside influence... incredible for a kid I must say! The dynamic is "evil clown grooms psychic girl into a MAGITEK WEAPON". It's really funny how things change, I wouldn't find interest in that dynamic now :p But I understand why a depressed edgy 10 year old (me) would find that interesting to explore.

Everyone/Vincent Valentine: I just thought Vincent was cute! I still like goth dudes who look like ladies with long hair (Who also turn into monsters). I tried to get into ships proper for Vincent, like Sephiroth/Vincent, Cloud/Vincent, Cid/Vincent.. but none of them really struck my fancy. I didn't really care for their character dynamics. I just liked Vincent LOL. So my favorite doujin I found when I was a wee lad was a monster x Vincent manga, cuz Vincent was cute :3c That segues into the other side of the fujo spectrum: A lot of my fannish thoughts when I was a kid (and even now) was based on having one favorite character and just wanting to see them look awesome and hot and cool and sexy. I think that's actually more related to gay manga culture than fujoshi culture, where gay manga can commonly just focus on one guy getting gangbanged with no emotional pairing necessary.

I could live with just seeing sexy Green Goblin and never shipping him with anyone else, ya know? And I'd be happy just drawing my sexy Senspai without any annoying Scunts around. The annoying younger halves of my pairings are often just projection opportunities, ya know? But I don't have the mental ability to do self-inserts because I have no conception of self.

Harvey Dent/Joker: Hey, when you're a kid and the new Batman movie comes out, you get sucked into it! You can see this in action with all the new Riddler fans cuz of the edward cullen batman movie! Nurse Joker was a huge meme on /co/ when this movie came out, and as the joke says.. /co/ is gay. And probably full of closet fujos. I had no emotional connection to this pairing, or even thoughts on their interactions, but I have quite a bit saved of these two on my computer. Plus I stole a lot of Aaron Eckhart's Harvey for my character Angus. Blonde and buttchin!

Riddler/Scarecrow: Again with the new Batman movie at the time, this time reviving interest in characters that weren't even in the movie! I liked Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow even though he only gets 5 minutes total of screentime in all 3 Nolan movies combined. Because I like girly men with killer cheekbones and kissy lips. I also REALLY enjoyed Jeffrey Comb's voiceover for BTAS Scarecrow. And Frank Gorshin Riddler was also a beloved meme on /co/.

I don't remember what the dynamic even was between these two. I just remember a small imageboard split off from /co/ for just Batman yaoi at the time, and this being a popular ship. Sometimes I wish it could be this easy for me to get into media and enjoy it with random strangers again LOL.

Kaiba/Yami Yugi: I loved Yugioh as a kid. This was one of the most popular ships, so as a kid you're just ecstatic that so much art and writing and fans existed for this one thing. You never starve, even if you don't have especially strong feelings for the food! Kaiba/Yami is still pretty cool to my adult brain though. I love the obsessiveness of Kaiba, and Yami is just an eternal waifu.

Malik/Yami Bakura: You can blame the abridged series for this one! Yaoi bait begets yaoi bait. This falls under the "dumbass x grumpy" archetype that I still enjoy. No especially strong feelings for this one, though I do have more modern headcanons of Malik, Rishid, and Bakura living together in a strange poly-angle. It's just cute!

Sniper/Spy: Ah, TF2chan.. a place where dreams live and die. Sniper, Spy, and Scout were part of the cursed twink trio on that chan. REAL MEN liked MANLY ships like Heavy/Medic, Demo/Soldier, or Soldier/Engie. You're a gay stupid yaoi fangirl if you liked any combination of Sniper/Spy!!! Jokes on them, I liked pretty much every pairing for TF2 back in Tha Day.

TF2 truly was a milestone in the fujo pipeline, from anime twinks to middle-aged slightly more naturalistic twinks to finally burly hyper testosterated manly men. We can blame the SSS twink trio for helping many transition (And I mean that in every way of the word 😜).

I think now I'm just sick of anything TF2. Reminds me too much of assholes and shitfucks! The transition of TF2 from edgy gamer chan culture, to tumblrites, to twitter geeks... eugh. I only care about fearless Scout/Spy allies :)

Superman/Batman: Hey, it's the NaruSasu of superhero ships! I have a lot of these two saved on my hard drive from my /co/ days. Once again, because gay art of these two was posted constantly as a meme. When the "straight dudes" on the edgy imageboard acknowledge the inherent homoeroticism of a pairing, it's validated in the young fujo's eyes. (cuz what girls like is stinky? and what men like is cool and real? lol lots to unpack) Still think this one is cute! I'm not AS invested in this as some people are as an endgame OTP that gets married and love each other ONLY, but it falls under the genki x grumpy archetype that I enjoy. It's a good relationship for Bruce to have and ruin!

Deadpool/Cable: Ah, the final channer-approved pairing. Complete with channer-approved fanart and pornography I still have on my hard drive! I might actually have the most art of them together saved out of all these ships...They had a comic together called Cable and Deadpool. Deadpool flirts with Cable and dreams about putting lotion on Cable's bare back (heh). What's not to like? Still cute, still genki x grumpy! Again, not an invested endgame ship for me right now, but certainly something I'm grateful to have enjoyed and shared with Shane :) Especially having enjoyed this before the Deadpool movie came out, and before all the weird fucked up Waid comics! I WAS HERE FIRST!!!!!!

Oh yeah it's Weird for a rhythm game from what I can tell. It's all a little bit much for me which is why I try to just get strong enough to skip levels. But if/when you read the story lmk :3c I wanna know your thoughts!!

Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01 - Volume 1

I'm doing things slightly out of order here, but I'd like to get to all the side stuff that came out prior to Tamers before I move on from Adventure. This is the first Digimon manga that came out (aside from C'mon Digimon which is contained within this release) so it'll be interesting to see those humble beginnings.

Ch.1

-So I guess this is some alternate universe version of season 1? (Or maybe like a beta version?) The plot feels a little similar to Digimon World where digimon are a battling v-pet IRL and the main character gets sucked into the digital world solo.

-In this version of the story, Taichi has a V-dramon. Unclear so far what level digivolution a V-dramon is or if it's related to Veemon. Zeromaru is a dumb name...

-Goggles AND a cape? That's a bit much Taichi...

-I like how doofy Gabumon looks in this. The digimon are way more cartoony and expressive so far.

-Full color and actual, red blood!? This manga looks fabulous on my tablet <3

Ch. 2

-More Digimon World vibes. The Holy Angel Castle looks a lot like the ice castle that you can only enter if you have a vaccine digimon in the PSX game...

-There's a "should digimon have human partners?" element here that we haven't really seen in the show yet. I feel like this question is inevitable for most mon series.

Ch. 3

-Okay, I'll admit, I didn't see the pun in "Zeromaru" (maru is another way to say zero) until this chapter. I hate the name slightly less now.

-A Tonosama Gekomon and a HolyAngemon are a pretty bizarre combo lol

-I really love the art style in this actually. Chibi-mode Taichi was adorable in this chapter and the colors are really nice as well. I wish we got more full-color manga releases like this one!

-So Demon is gonna be the big bad in this? That's kinda nice actually cuz he got majorly short shrifted in 02. Seems like his design is completely different here. Kinda looks like Ogremon...

Ch. 4

-I kinda like how the wild digimon get names in this. Since every digimon from the same species seems to be pretty much identical, giving them names allows me to become more attached to them.

-Only just realized that I don't really know why Etemon is called Etemon. I tried googling it and the Digimon wiki's explanation didn't really help...

-Pretty wild that Gabo said "God is gone" lol. Also, Digi-world creation myth confirmed.

-The manga's McGuffin was introduced: V-tags. I'm guessing the "V" is for "Virtual," but if you're going to call everything "digi" that seems to go against the branding a bit...

Ch. 5

-Okay Gabo's incessant "You guys need to act more concerned!!" gag is getting really annoying. He says it like every 3 pages!

-I had no memory of Deltamon so I thought he was new, but I guess he appeared in an 02 episode? He's really ugly. Also, how many samey dino digimon designs do we need!?

Ch. 6

-These chapters are super short and since a lot of them are battles, they take like 2 minutes to read. Perfect for young kids I guess!

-That triceratops with pecs was pretty cursed.

Ch. 7

-When the digimon are hurt their skin cracks like they're made of plastic or something. Kind of a weird choice...

-Another thing that differs between the manga and anime is that we see Taichi perform first-aid care after fights. The anime doesn't really show a lot of wounds in the first place and usually the digimon just rest to heal.

Ch. 8

-I was surprised to see MarineDevimon who doesn't appear in the anime until 02. I wish I knew more about which chapters of this came out when because it apparently came out over the course of 5 years (1998-2003) -- Edit: this info is thankfully on the wiki

-In this chapter Gomamon says that Triceramon being a data-type means he's a "good" digimon. In the anime they said that even virus-types can be good. So maybe that's more of a prejudice than a fact? (Or it's just different in the manga).

-Gomamon is so baby in this!

Ch. 9

-This manga reminds me of Yu-Gi-Oh! season 0 where everything is just slightly off.

-The digimon are more blatantly programs and apparently if you go inside them it's just a neon void? Also, I guess the 01 in the manga's title is a reference to binary.

-Let's see how much random stuff the digivice can do in the manga. So far it allows you to scan digimon for their HP and to communicate telepathically.

Ch. 10

-Already 2 out of 5 tags collected which means that this tag collecting thing is probably just one out of many arcs.

-For some reason the official release goes up to chapter 10 for volume 1 but the fan scans go beyond that? I'm going to stick to the official release because 10 is a nice clean end point.

This manga seems pretty typical for a game/anime-tie in for young boys. The chapters are very easily digestible and nothing too deep happens. The magazine it was serialized in, V-Jump was also home to things like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest, so the demographic is pretty clear. I'm really enjoying the artwork mostly. I wish there were more character moments but the reoccurring cast is pretty dinky at the moment. Let's see where this goes!

Really sorry if you have gotten this ask a million times, but i'm a nee follower. Your coloring style is pretty much exactly what i aspire to. Do you happen to have any tutorials or anything that you've posted of yourself or used to learn from?

It’s okay! I haven’t been asked too many times! Even if I had, I’d still answer!

the lame response is, practice and trail and error. I’ve been drawing for many many years, and was in school for also many years, so it’s kind of congealed in my brain into one mass.

This got longer than I expected, so more under the cut

a slightly better response is; I’ve always struggled with unifying my colors. One thing I was taught was using layer effects is bad, and can make the art look bad. I use both photoshop and clip studio paint, though I know a lot of drawing programs have similar functions.

layer effects are a lot like salt. If you do too much, someone might like it! But it can really put a damper on piece, and the reverse is true, only having a little might not make a difference at all.

Because I struggle with unifying colors, a real traditional painting way is to either have a very opaque wash, or even mixing the main color of the piece into some of the other colors.

I’m an OKAY traditional artist. I still struggle with color, which is why all my work is digital. I have better practice, and I’m just better at it.

so with the power of photoshop, I “cheat” a little bit. I could try to hand mix the colors digitally, but photoshop sucks for that and, well, I’m lazy. Work smarter, not harder.

My party trick? I add a light pink layer over a lot of my work, set it to overlay and lower the opacity on that layer so it’s not as strong.

for example, the drawings on the left, the colors are fine, they could just ~pop- a little more. I throw on the overlay layer, move it to 46% and, viola! Colors are more unified and it’s got a distinct look to it.

I’ve been doing this for a few years now, and usually what ends up happening is, sometimes I’ll just merge the overlayed layer and just start color picking from those merged colors.

those genshin chibi’s I did are just color picked from their character models, and maybe lightened slightly so it’s not too dark, but really not much changing. So putting the overlay really gets everything together.

Another layer option I tend to use is Exclusion, and usually a lighter brown with the layer opacity set to like, 15 or 20%. It helps a) unify everything, and b) helps tone down some of the brighter colors, to make it a bit more muted so it fits with the art nouveau style I like to draw in.

and again, just lots of color picking from the merged images to help keep everything together.

this turned out longer than expected! TLDR experiment! Try limiting your color pallets! Use layer effects, it’s okay if you don’t know what they do, I honestly don’t quite know myself ( I can give it a good guess, but, eh lol )

also avoid using true black if you can! When doing shades, darks get more rich, while lights get more washed out ( this is how I use colors, the cool thing about art, is you can do whatever! )

When I’m doing “blacks” in my piece, usually use a blue, or a red or purple, cuz it’s more vibrant and there are lots of tones of black. Ever try wearing a full black outfit with different clothes from different stores? They’re all different. So I always try to mix up the blacks and also try to keep the same color of black separate. That way stuff doesn’t start to blend.

And uhhhhh yeah! That’s more or less how I go about coloring. Sometimes you just gotta color pick from a neat photo and use those colors! See a cool rock? Color pick that bitch. Reference is king!

Hi guys!! Some updates~

I'm currently prepping for Taiyou con, I should post my booth tomorrow.

I'm also currently at the emergency vet with my puppy (nothing too severe, we think he got into something and is lethargic)

I plan on making a YouTube video discussing how 2022 affected my art and why I've been on constant hiatus, if you follow my Instagram, one of the issues was my living situation. But there's a bit more stuff as well.

There will be more art posted, mainly chibis cuz new keychain drops. But scp art as well, I've been requested scp art a lot and I've only just now got fully into the scp stories.

Thank you guys for being so patient with me throughout the year of 2022. Hopefully I can regain the lost energy I had and be able to make content again.

which oc do you think has affected you the most as youve grown with them?

Idk, it’s that I never really grew with any of them but rather that the amount of them did. They’ve all been pretty stationary and more like "one-offs I kept using for a while“. Current main gang living for more than 2y and having actual thought put into it, let alone attempts at development, is an absolute anomaly, historically speaking.

Anyways, if I have to choose,..

Depending on what qualifies as "affecting“, an art challenge I drew Mage basically for got the whole "actually being not-afraid enough to post about ocs online“ thing started, if that counts? It made quite the effect, after all it’s why we’re both here now! :3

And if not…then ig, Deniz? Ik he’s got the least out of the main 5, but it’s rather about clawing to get the few things he does have. But the main kicker was when I debated on if I wanted to shelf him for being too boring and little to the rest, looked at the few things that made him up, and realized, well crap. That’s basically me. A very glorified and glittery version, but still. So since then, trying to Make Him Work and refusing to drop him has kiiinda become a promise to myself? Cuz like, if I can’t keep the character, what’s that reflecting bout how I see myself, yknow? So, if I drop Deniz from the group it’ll be because I moved on from the whole group! ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

Also setting-wise his thing is being an NPC who went along for the ride, which is quite the contrast from "op magic person 1 + 2“, "most casually capable dude ever“, and "literally the hero of the story“. Or actual deities and cryptic monsters with chibi faces.

Deniz doesn’t have much lore going on and instead got his focus on all the inner character stuff instead! So it’s been quite a nice exercise trying to write that for an exchange, and it helped in building the others better too and understanding all the connection stuff. Skill growth! Woo!

Kags: “hopefully so when are we kicking Hinata off the team”

Daichi: “Today as so as he shows up”

Yachi: “About time I don't think I can take one more stupid questions”

Tsukishima: you're meant to be his boyfriend and the rest of you are meant to be his friends

Daichi: “No I just used him for his body and we used him to beat Shiratorizawa

In the mixed team's group chat

Suga: hey guys have any of you see Hinata he didn't show up to practice

Kenma: Cuz Calm down I am sure they are fine

Daishou forced his way into the chat

Kuroo: why is the snake here

Daisho: Because i am the one with Sho i am the one claiming them down all they keeps saying is they were used So who upset my Sho

Luna: it’s true Suguru-Ni karasuno was using them to beat their brothers team and daichi san was just using them for their body

Tendou: how is my brother is he okay Suguru

Daishou: does me sitting next to them in a hospital while they have a severe anxiety and panic attack count as being okay because that is currently what is happening with them and where we are

Next thing all of Karasuno knew they Message from the teacher Takada sensei saying this

Me and coach Ukai heard everything that happened in the gym and we read everything here as of now karasuno are disbanded till they can prove themselves daichi you don’t have a say who gets kicked Ukai does pull that stunt again you will be stripped from your position do i make myself clear

The team:Yes sensei

Takada:Now before you start plotting revenge you are not to go near shoyo if I hear from one of the other coaches you have gone anywhere near shoyo then this team will be disbanded for good

The team:Yes sensei

Takada:And daishou was it tell shoyo to get better and we will miss seeing them around

The team:Wait you knew about shoyo being non binary and never told us

Takada:Its not my place now everyone offline and I mean everyone

Chapter 5 Today Shoyo starts their new school with their brother and cousins they made sure to take Sho every class and made sure no one starts on them or they will be anwsering to the family Sho had a good day overall but they were looking forward to volleyball practice they watched the clock tick down the hours for volleyball Shot time skip to volleyball practice

Half said though suguru showed up at the gym and yelled “knock knock come to see how my baby is fitting in and settling” “Su I am fine I would be a lot more happy if these lot weren’t be on guard and act there ready to attack people like rabid attack dogs literally anyone tries to come near me to talk these idiots will start barking and Eita-Nii starts turning mother hen I thought I came to school to get away from that adverts I’ve got it here too”. Daishou was on the floor laughing his ass off at this point “sorry luv I’ve known your family from when we were kids I forget how Nutz they are at times” “I’m beginning to wonder if that was a compliment or a backhanded insult at me” “ it was a compliment babe I swear come on let’s play show me how good you got”

Like Sho daishou can play any Position so right now he is setting for sho to spike daishou sets the ball all falling toss and Sho darted gave it 100% the ball bounced off the wall and out the gym

Chapter 6 Next day practice match Sho was starting out as a setter then they were making him switch as a junior Ace and take Ushijima spot while Sho and his family members were warming up Daishou quickly ran to them and said “Do your best out there love and make your old team look like idiots then dinner on me regardless weather you win or lose okay baby” “Okay thanks for the pep talk Suguru” “Love you baby have a good game” “Love you Su and I will”

Match start the captains greeted each other and it was karasuno up to serve which worked for Shiratorizawa Tendou received and passed it to his little brother who set it to ushijima who slammed it down Kageyama said “your a setter since when” “Didn’t you hear us say my brother can play any position that includes setter” Goshiki served noya received it went straight to Sho who did a setter dump right under kageyamas nose after making it look like he was going to set to Tendou and got salt boy out the way in the end shiratorizawa won the set it was time for Sho to switch position and ushijima went off not before saying “kick their asses out there Cousin” semi came in as the setter and the match started again karasuno served they thought Sho was still the setter Sho recieved and sent it semi sent it back to sho who used 100% power and they didn’t see the Ball coming or going “ what the hell was that” Asked Daichi “ we’re we holding him back this whole time” asked noya

“Finally someone gets it’s done you shouldn’t of sent it to my brother what you thought he was still playing setter no ushijima walked off they are their cousin’s junior ace that’s what they are playing wish you still had them don’t”

In the end Shiratorizawa won straight sets

Daishou ran to Sho and kissed him “great job Hunny”

Chapter 8 After the match Karasuno went home sour but also regretful they really did screw up daichi felt like he lost a part of him why did he have to say he was only using Hinata for his body daichi walked into the gym “anyone else feel disgusted and disappointed in themselves” everyone said yes daichi said “I feel revolted by myself and what I said”Kiyoko walked in and said you all woke up to yourselves and how disgusting you are glad Sho is away from this toxic team because of your behaviour you have given karasuno a foul name in other prefectures other teams don’t want to know you if that’s the way the crows treat teammates” “So you are saying we messed up that bad other teams don’t want to know us we are back to square one what if we make it up to sho” how do you plan to make it up to them you find every way to lower their self esteem and misgender them” “I don’t know maybe if we learn more about Non binary so we can avoid making the same mistake for future players joining the team

Chapter 9 Today was a weekend so Daishou decided he would take Sho out on a Date he had a rough idea what he wanted to do so he set some clothes out for sho and left a note

They had a great time and Suguru said “Sho I want to start planning our wedding but I want you to have a say and Unless you still have your future plans journal where you planned out how to want your future including your future wedding “

Chapter 10 I went to get my journal when I got home and we went though it “Su remember this one I said I was gonna get a horse and make it look a my little pony”

Sho turned over and there was plans for barbies wedding to action man “enlighten me why we planned a fucking dolls wedding” “I believe your exact words were I am practicing for our wedding” while going though the journal sho got a message from their old GC

Daichi: Shoyo please come back to us

Noya: we are sorry kohai

Tsukki: shrimp come back we were out of order

Back with daishou and Sho

Sho: are we going to let my siblings tell them I’ve graduated already or let them beg a little more

Daishou: baby you’re evil

Sho: now tell me something I don’t know I’ll text my brothers

Sho text Tendou and Teru and they said they were on it and asked how the wedding planning was going which he said it is great but they are think private just family no fuss

Chapter 11 In the main group chat karasuno thought they would ask Sho there to come back to them yeah they really don’t know the meaning of the word quit

Noya: Shoyo please we need you

Kags: Boke please come back I need you

Akaashi: oya

Bokuto: oya oya

Kuroo: oya oya oya

Tendou: leave my brother alone crows

Teru: our brother ten

Kenma: whose gonna tell them

Chapter 12

Karasuno after reading everything agreed they were holding Sho back and decided to give up Kageyama moved on he figured that Sho was happy and all he was doing was causing heartache not just for himself but Sho as well and as for sho he is currently in America with their husband in college studying as well as preparing for Argentina along with their husband because wherever Sho goes Suguru goes The time had come for Sho to fly to Argentina and they are going to be their for 2-3 years while they was there they earned the name Ninja Sho and will be representing Japan with Kawa in the Olympics after that after that they Joined MSBY and the Japan international team and was slowly ready to settle down and start a family he finally got his life together and he also know as best and number one decoy in Japan and what happened to karasuno they disbanded to avoid anything happening like this again.
