hi 🎀anon!!! sorry this got late, i think the topic went a little everywhere at some point but i hope you enjoyed this anyway hehe. but also before i did this, i want to rephrase this a little and answer this as how i would write their characters in a relationship in my fics🧡

cheol: he would be the kind of boyfriend who's whiny and clingy and he's not ashamed about it!!! but despite the child like persona that he puts up, he always takes care of you and he's always always always the first person who'd apologize or remind you both to calm down when things get too heated up.

jeonghan: han would only pull all his pranks in private while he's only a little playful in front of people (unless those people are close to both of you then it doesn't matter); teasing is just his love language, anyway. he knows all the lines he needs to keep and he's secretly scared he'd push you a little too far. he's subtle about his touch too, though you can bet that he's never leaving you alone when you're in the comfort of your apartment aha.

shua: man would do everything for you and i mean everything. he'd take care of you without even thinking bc to him, it's just a given and it's second nature. he's like those people who have everything ready before you even finish the sentence. "do you have--" "here." "what about--" "here."

jun: jun, on the contrary, i feel like would be a rather serious boyfriend. sure, he'll still joke around and all that stuff, but i imagine he's the type to be more serious when it comes to this stuff. he's calm and he never pushes anything out of you, even by accident.

hoshi: hosh is the type of boyfriend who takes you anywhere and everywhere over the weekend. he wants to try every single thing he's heard from his friends and his members, so you can bet your ass he's dragging you with him lol.

wonwoo: take a walk during odd hours kind of boyfriend 😭 he's not keen on going outside, but when it comes to taking a walk during random hours after midnight, he springs up like a kid during christmas lol. he'd wrap you with the warmest clothes there is because he gets cold himself. so he needs to prevent you from being cold bc there's no way he'd be able to let you wear his jacket looooooooool

jihoon: he claims he doesn't like cuddles; and it's true. just that he doesn't like cuddles when they aren't from you. he's always subtle with his touches also, doesn't say anything when he initiates any kind of physical contact so your heartbeat is always 📈📈📈📈📈 everytime he suddenly drops down next to you and just softly grabs your hands and plays with your fingers when it's just the two of you.

seokmin: he'd be very shy at first. like he has all this energy and he just wants to hold your hand but he's too shy and it's only been like two weeks since you started dating so is it too fast to place his hand on your thigh when you're next to him??? he'd just be flustered all the time until you tell him it's ok lol

mingyu: like hoshi, he would want to try a lot of activities. but he wouldn't be hearing those from his friends, he'd look them up himself, look through the reviews, stalk instagram profiles, and when he's sure you two would have fun, he'd say he's planned the perfect date (which he really has lol) and you'll end up having a competition about who can plan the Most Fun Date Activities.

minghao: i wanna go with the cliche museum, art dates when it comes to him bc that's D: just D: how i imagine him to be D: perhaps he'd even bring you to those painting or pottery class bc he just wants to spend time with you either appreciating art or making something meaningful for the both of you (the memories and your failed attempt of a potteries left as mementos lol)

seungkwan: for a date, seungkwan would also look things up on instagram like mingyu. but he would include you in the process, asks about your preference whilst also dropping hints about what he wants to try lol. the both of you would have more fun looking through instagrams, pressed against one another on the sofa, than going on the actual dates lol. the members would sometimes ask you both about a date course bc they knew you've both seen too much date courses instagram recommendation pages

vernon: he's the follow you type of boyfriend <3 whatever you want to do, 95% of the time he'd just say and follow you. not that he doesn't have anything in mind, but what matters to him is that he's spending time with you. he'd also make a tradition of having a movie/netflix date, something you can do online when you're apart. again, it doesn't matter what you're watching bc he simply wants to spend time w you 😭

chan: NOW HIM. i think it's time that we remember that despite being the maknae in seventeen, chan is the eldest son in his family. i feel like he's a very mature boyfriend who would try to "lead" you and i mean that in the best way possible. he'd be patient even if you're indecisive about anything--menu, movies, places, activities. he'd try to get to the bottom of what you actually want 😗 "

ok i've decided i want to infodump about vee and nova a little after all! because uhh not only am i impatient because autism but i also. want to dip my toes into talking about this. just days ago i was still terrified but now i am Tentatively Brave... if i can talk about it here casually like this then i should be able to write a more formal summary later some other time

i've tagged this post appropriately (at least i think i have, feel free to suggest if i should add more) but also a heads up here too before i keep talking that while i'm not going into graphic detail on anything there are STRONG themes of organized sexual abuse of a child, sexual abuse of animals, and grooming! (there are no disturbing visuals in this post, just text)

IF YOU CAN'T READ THIS POST THAT'S OKAY I STILL LOVE U

takes a deep breath alright so the deal with these two. back all the way in 2021, i decided i wanted to make "vent ocs" as in i just wanted some concrete/consistent designs i could use in vent art drawings that weren't a direct reflection of what i envision myself to look like or whatever. i was going through a lot in 2021, in december 2020 i had just gotten my first big repressed memory back and my life was in a whirlwind of change and heavily increased PTSD and DID symptoms, so i was using art a lot as an outlet. in the end i settled on this drawing, based on the design taste i would have had as a young person (god the quality is so old now LOL i've improved a lot but anyway)

i was intending for these two to be just visual designs and nothing more than that but i got attached and actually ended up giving them a whole storyline and everything, which is something i admittedly hadn't done in a long time up to that point so that's cool.

the reason i preface explaining the premise of the storyline with this is because i think it's important to acknowledge that these two are intrinsically tied with my real life and the feelings i experience as a CSA/OA survivor. not because i think someone has to go through awful things to write or draw about them necessarily, but because i am passionate about expressing myself. it's important for me to be seen in some way, to be heard after years of silence. it is not safe for me mentally to share the exact details of my abuse online rn (and please don't ask for them!) but i also don't want these two to be removed from the message that i survived something and this is me making art about that in an abstracted and magical way with a fictional universe that brings me a lot of comfort. i hope this makes sense lol

oh and also with that in mind if you think for even a second any of this is a weird sex thing for me or some shit please stop reading this post and go do something else with your time. this is my trauma expression and i don't need to be compared to the people i was abused by when i was a literal toddler thank you!

AANYWAY so! premise! gonna be point blank with it! vee (not her original name but shh) is born as a normal 100% human girl, aka without the eevee ears and tail. she is groomed from a very young age (like, toddler age) and eventually abducted by her groomers which happen to be members of... well right now it's team rocket because i haven't spent the time to worldbuild a new villainous pokemon organization yet. roll with me here. she is taken to a remote facility out in the middle of fucking nowhere and is never returned to her previous life or family.

Why? well i'm glad you asked! the org is running a bunch of different experiments in this facility and one of them happens to be trying to enable humans reproducing with pokemon. this doubles as both a money thing and a power thing. they seek out a child as the victim of these horrible experiments because children are easily malleable. way easier to control a child than an adult who already has a firm identity/self.

vee is the child they chose. surgery is forcibly done on her to give her working eevee ears and tail, and also like, fuck with her body chemistry and stuff. she's biologically part eevee now. yes this is bullshit pokemon magic science LMAO but she is kept in this facility and chronically sexually abused for a few years by pairing her with various mons and trying to get eggs to happen.

the experiment isn't working though so they hypothesize that giving her a dedicated partner, especially of the same evolutionary line, would help, and they raise nova from birth as an eevee to take on that role. eventually the two of them are paired together. despite the acts they are forced to commit on each other and the abuse they endure, they actually become inseparable very quickly cause like. they don't have anyone else. and also they just genuinely care about each other. additionally at this point nova has evolved into an espeon and has telepathic powers, so him and vee can communicate linguistically with each other, so you know that helps

generally my current focus of this story is in the early years, when vee is 12 and younger, before they start realizing that shit is fucked up and they need to escape (up until that hypothetical point they have been successfully groomed into believing everything happening to them was not abuse/was normal). i have left out a metric fuckton of detail here just to get across the basic premise. i am constantly exploring vee's psyche, nova's psyche, it's like an in depth exploration of the mind of an abused child in horrific circumstances and god it's cathartic. i love these two so fucking much

btw i guess this art has more context now huh haha after i infodumped off the plot to my sister they looked at this art again and was like. OHHH THIS IS EVEN MORE OMINOUS AND HARD TO LOOK AT WITH CONTEXT. AND I WAS LIKE YEAH!!!! YOU SEE THE VISION!!! THE SYMBOLISM!! ETC!!!!

uh yeah if you read this far thank you and i just wanna say i've been building up the courage to talk about these two for GENUINELY two years, it has been over 2 full years since that initial drawing, and i am nervous and jittery posting this but i do not want to die without having shared my work with the world and i'm willing to take the risks to get my voice out there. so you reading it is very much appreciated ur like my first step into being more confident as a survivor lol

oh and fwiw despite these guys being so correlated with my trauma it's not offensive to make headcanons or ask me questions about them or compliment darker art of them however you want, in fact i love that shit!! please i've been holding these guys back for two years i have so much to say that hasn't been said. as much as i am nervous i am EXCITED

My gift for the @technoblade-gift-exchange !! i was assigned to @simplepotatofarmer who asked for dsmp rivals duo. i hope you like it Loyal!

rambling about headcanons, designs, and my process and stuff under the readmore, because i wanna talk about it but dont want the post to be super long !!

i had originally planned to not have a background and then at the last second i decided to speedrun drawing one in a few hours so um. quality difference but its fine. also unrelated but im pretty sure everything about how i draw animals and anthros makes it very obvious i used to be in the warrior cats fandom lol. anyway onto the designs!!

the gold on techno is scars from the totem at the execution, which i think is a pretty common thing for techno designs. he isnt supposed to be a piglin, but rather similar species of anthropomorphic pig. also his mane and tail fluff are naturally brown but he dyes them pink ^_^ so cool !! um. i maaayyy have forgotten the crown until i was way too far into the piece to add it. haha. oops. pretend its missing because. uuh. hes in a casual outfit. "but he still has the cape" yeah its comfy. "but dream has a mask thats not casual" dream is dream he does Not relax fully ever. see entirely intentional i would never make a mistake.

dream is an original shapeshifter species i came up with because i couldnt decide what i wanted him to be. i havent decided on a name for the species yet but i plan to make almost every solid-color or nearly solid color mcyt into this species. theyre mostly involuntary/unconscious shapeshifters. so like they change slowly over weeks or months to adapt to their surroundings, with little conscious control. basically i wanted him to be like five different things so i shoved them together lol, rabbit ears but in a pattern that looks like an axolotl, a cool tail, TOE BEANS tho you cant see them. this was actually the first time ive ever had a dream design im happy with so thats really nice.

i um. i made full use of my time lol, i spent a bit over a week on the lineart, another week on the coloring, and maybe a week and a half on rendering. unless i suddenly became shit at math(which is possible) that adds up to roughly the amount of time i had to work on it. im really proud of myself actually since i usually take a while to do art, and i wasnt sure i would be able to make something id be happy with in this amount of time. but i did! woah!! this was my first time participating in a fandom gift exchange and it was so fun, and also helped motivate me to draw more instead of getting distracted like i usually do (classic adhd moment) lol. anyway super cool!!

hii HII THANK YOU!!! also him fitting in would totally make sense, theres tons of ghosts and demons in my au!! again, the only reason i dont add him is cuz when i was little i was scared of clowns, and therefore never connected to his character LOL.. all of my current interest in creepypasta is derived from when i was 10

ok anyway. im writing this as i go with no thought, just hope. i wasn't suuuper fond of his OG story in general, just as a general preference thing, soooo....

i think... i'd want him to be a circus performer from like 1800s-1900s. maybe his show was really popular with kids for a long time, but then kids stopped showing up. went from being an adored clown to some pathetic joke that teenagers came to throw tomatoes at. hurt his ego, made him feel abandoned, etc.

he began doing more and more dangerous acts just to get some of that attention and admiration back. tight rope walking, contortion, slap stick 'lion taming' and magic. and he kept pushing it till he died doing something stupid. maybe he broke his spine and that can reflect the sort of jack-in-the-box accordion type design ive seen an artist do(pls lmk if you know what im talking abt i cant remember who but it was so badass), and he ended up possessing a jack in the box as a ghost?

he'd be sold at the same garage sale ben's cartridge was sold at. dunno why, just would like them to intertwine.

and maybe someone like toby bought the jack in the box as a gift for clocky as a joke or something, and clocky ends up meeting LJ and she's like BRO WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS. brings toby along and tobys like CLOCKY WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO and jacks just bouncing around being scary and whatnot. they get EJ and EJ's like guys. i hate you so much. what is this. and then its just a funny ass scene of everyone being like DUDE.

i think one of them would have to try and sell LJ's box again, or leave him somewhere in the woods cuz he's scary as fuck, but LJ isn't having it cuz "YOURE NOT ABANONDING ME AGAIN" and drama ensues. they end up finding a good home for him, im sure.... dunno where. maybe with jeff and ben. i think that'd be fitting.

chích choè: her name is literally the viet name for the magpie-robins. she was an orphan abandoned in a temple without a name, so this is what her royal adopted siblings call her bc she likes to talk and sing a lot like the songbird aha. added symbolism^tm bc her sis also has a bird name

quỳnh liên: honestly i just like the sound...its a very gentle pretty name lol which is at odds w her upbringing (mum and her ran away from abusive father, grew up in forgotten temple kinda poor). shes supposed to be cc's foil and their names are meant to reflect that...idk

bạch yến: literally "white swallow" she has a white swallow that's rarely visible esp in the sunlight something something hidden in plain sight...

lệ ái: "tears of love" OK WELL. basically their story is called "return in spring rain" basically lệ ái and xuân met during the spring rain, they were separated for a long time bc of redacted, but when lệ ái returned, xuân's tears welcomed them. so basically spring rain, or tears of love, brought their reunion...sighs...one day i'll finish this comic

reply roundup!

I've done basically nothing but lay down and be exhausted since kirb2k over 2 months ago, but I did at least get the kirbox orders fulfilled. I have an immunology appointment in another 2 1/2 months and maybe they might do something to help me feel better. (it's a bad time. I know it seems to be most of what I talk about, but it is kind of all-consuming. even this roundup wore me out.)

also there are sometimes comments that make me smile but I don't have anything to add to them so I just read them and smile and don't put them in the roundups, but I promise I do see them all, like the many yeehaws (and yes haws and heehaws) for [cowboy kirb] <3

Martyn fancies himself a schemer, someone who's not afraid to play the game the way it's intended. If that means earning a powerful ally's trust only to shatter it then he was going to do it. Only, Martyn's bark is worse than his bite, and every night he spends in lying awake in those soft, warm sheets that Ren had laid out just for him (freshly washed too, he might add. Smelled like sunshine) he wonders if he can do it. He can, of course. (he can't. he won't. he's too soft. soft and useless.) He'd cut his head off already. (he wants to vomit) (this is why no one needs you. wants you. loves you) Who cares about other people anyway? He is the only one who really matters. (the thought of being alone makes him want to cry) Ren, on the other hand, is a capable leader. The definition of loyal and dependable, if not a bit dramatic. He struggles with self-worth, being good enough, useful enough, powerful enough. But to others, he's the opposite, caring and protective of any who would ask for his aid. After all, every citizen deserves to live in safety and comfort, and providing that is what a good King would do. ~ Martyn's not as sneaky as he thinks he is. Ren knows. Ren sees the signs. It's a death game for a reason. But he doesn't let Martyn know. He doesn't even hold it against him. He doesn't see the bloodthirst anymore, only the broken pieces lying underneath. ~ or the King's Hand, it was the thrill of feeling Useful, Powerful, Feared (loved). He was going to miss it after he betrayed him, the high of bloodlust, the smell in the air as he charged into battle. (the way his hands held him so gently) For the King himself, deep down he knew it was never to be. He had met a monster, but he hoped his efforts calmed the storm ever so slightly. On some days, he pretends to forget about the death game entirely and imagines the speech he'd give to retire his Hand. This is Lynx’s most popular album, Conspiracy Theories. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a pic of lynx as the cover even if it’s silly. I really like rabbit imagery in music anyways though so I think it’s nice. I was inspired by Alice In Chains album covers and also fleshwater’s ‘we’re not here to be loved’. I tried to find a way to make it more 'gritty' but I couldn’t unfortunately 😭 I like how the title looks, like they just got a label maker and smacked it on..heheh

I imagine that this album is about relationship anxiety, betrayal, resentment, anti social tendencies, infidelity, and aliens. Probably not little green men, maybe more like the thing kind of fleshy imagery. Definitely appealing to atlas and scotch in different ways. Tool’s Undertow is a good example (off the top of my head..) of the sound I’m thinking of, so… prog? Or at least heavily inspired. I’m bad with genres heheh

im currently trying to either become okay with roadkill's name, or decide on a new one.. so im not making any album covers for them yet lol but i will post when i do..

I think roadkill would take a lot of inspo from their fave band so their style is probably heavily influenced by Lynx. Scotch adds a lot of sampling, distortion, whatever..idk I don’t make music.. and atlas is a big fan of slow tempo and bass. think its important to note that atlas doesnt play bass like a bassist in this album, he plays it more like a guitarist. kind of. hope that makes sense. I’ve always been really torn about roadkill’s genre, it’s been everywhere and tends to change. scotch and atlas’ styles would be vastly different if they were solo, so I think that’s why i am so indecisive . I think I just have to keep reminding myself that they’re in a band together, so styles would be mixed.

A part of me is like.. I think roadkill’s first album would be reminiscent of faith no more’s ‘the real thing’, or even some of Primus' stuff in some sense, plus similarities to Lynx and influences of industrial. i know thats a lot of random descriptions. I kinda think of (here’s a goofy genre for ya) sludge metal bands’ instrumental style, not necessarily vocal style... its hard to describe a band that doesnt exist. LMFAO

right now im thinking about 'the pot' by tool as a close example of roadkill.. im having a hard time finding artists that match scotch's vocal range even remotely. also doesnt help that the bands im basing this off of like tool and FNM dont exactly...fit into genres very neatly. roadkill and lynx wouldnt either. HAH. i just know it wouldnt be that high quality but definitely obvious theres a lot of passion in it. i mean this is just an album made by guys who dontknow what theyre doing. like at all. lol

Roadkill’s sound changes quite a bit their next album when seraph is involved. It becomes a lot more ummmm I guess palatable to more people? I don’t exactly know what I mean by that. Ok. LOL. I’ll think about it.. but this is around when Scotch realizes he wants this to be his job. Having Seraph helps A LOT with building a more dedicated and bigger audience, since they’re the one most willing to make changes. Plus they’re in art school, I feel like they’d have connections. So I guess roadkill would sell out in a way.

if you asked me this question a year ago i would have had a completely different answer. i wouldve probably said roadkill is pop punk or garage rock or something. i have trouble fitting scotch and atlas into a genre together. it fits scotch just fine and i think he would enjoy it, but its not roadkill.. also ive been thinking of stylizing roadkill as rdkill.. lmk wat u think.. im unsure about the name is generalHAHA. i know this is a lot so dont feel pressured to reply to everything LMAO im just thinking out loud. and drawing connections between genres that completely do not make sense. peace and LOVE<3

hello my friend! thank you so much for the birthday wishes, they are genuinely so sweet and i treasure them with all my heart! you are one of the first people who sent me an ask today and i have hung onto this for many hours because i am. so bad at open ended questions lol.

i really don't have any specific headcanons for them i just LIKE them so much. most of my thoughts are like. oh i cannot wait for them to be soft together. like i love the competitive stuff and the flirting and all of that but all of my favorite pieces of art are the ones where they're cuddling cuz i just. ough.

You were trying to focus on your French lecture. You really were, but your mind couldn’t stop thinking about what you were going to wear tonight on your date with Satoru. You were only going to be having dinner at his (and the monkey’s) place but you still wanted to impress him. Should you wear a dress? Maybe something more casual? What did Satoru like? For once, you wished you could ask that idiot what his friend was into so you could make sure you made a good impression. Knowing that asshole, he probably would’ve told you the wrong thing and had you dressed like a pirate standing outside of his apartment later. The thought made you chuckle quietly to yourself.

You scribbled down your lecture notes as the professor continued. You jumped slightly when you felt your phone vibrate in your lap. You smiled, already knowing who it was before you opened your messages.

Satoru: cant wait to see u tonight :)

Satoru: what do u wanna eat?

Satoru: actually dont answer that. i wanna surprise u

Satoru: wait actually ur not allergic to anything right?

Your smile spread into a beaming grin. It wasn’t like you knew Satoru well at all, but even you could tell he was nervous. The rapid texts coming in one after the other was a dead giveaway. It was cute though. You shook your head, quickly replying under your desk.

You: lol breatheee Satoru. im not picky and no allergies

You: cant wait to see u too

You supposed you didn’t need Suguru to find out what to wear tonight. You could just ask Satoru directly. Right? That was fine? Fuck it. You were doing it.

You: weird question. what should i wear?

You watched the three little dots blink at the bottom of the screen for what felt like forever. You shouldn’t have asked. You really shouldn’t have asked. What kind of question was that anyway? You couldn’t pick something to wear? Were you really so desperate for his approval that you needed him to dictate what you wore? You hadn’t seriously dated anyone before, so you weren’t really sure how to do this. School was pretty much your boyfriend. You never made time for this kind of thing. You were pulled from your thoughts when your phone vibrated again.

Satoru: sorry i wanted to make a creepy joke so bad but i didnt want u to get the wrong impression. Wear whatever u want, love. im sure ur gonna look great no matter what <3

He was so sweet. You wondered how he could be friends with someone like Suguru who spent most of his time being a miserable ass to everyone around him. Seriously, any time you thought about trying to make peace with the guy, he said or did something to piss you off. You hoped he wouldn’t be at home tonight. You didn’t want him to ruin this for you. You typed back to Satoru quickly.

You: will your roommate be home?

He replied quickly this time.

Satoru: lol u kno u can just call him suguru

You: no thx.

Satoru: i dont get u guys but no its just me and u at the apt tonight. that ok?

You frowned, your stomach dropping as you read Satoru’s text. What was that? Sadness? Five seconds ago, you were praying he wouldn’t be anywhere near the apartment so you could be alone with Satoru. This was actually more than you could ask for. And yet, you couldn’t ignore the nagging disappointment you were feeling. You shot back a quick text to Satoru.

You: perfect :) see you tonight

You sighed, resuming your note taking. This was going to be a good night. You would make sure it was a good night. Suguru could not ruin this night for you. Satoru was going to treat you to dinner and you would not even see a glimpse of Suguru. That was a good thing, right?

Once your classes were over for the day, you moved across the courtyard to head back to your apartment. It was the packed with students lounging in the grass. There were picnic tables scattered around where students were eating, mingling, studying. The beautiful spring weather made this place the perfect hangout spot. You wandered through the students laying in the grass, mentally arranging outfits in your closet when you heard your name being called. You glanced around, eyes landing on Utahime sitting at one of the picnic tables, waving you over. Next to her sat king of the apes himself, staring boredly off to the side with his elbow propped up on the table, head in his hand.

“Y/n, come here! I wanna talk to you before your date!” She howled across the courtyard. And it could have just been your imagination, but you could have sworn that even from the other side of the courtyard, you could see Suguru’s jaw tick hard.

You took your time making your way over there, careful not to step on any of the many people splayed out on the ground soaking up the sun. You kept your eyes locked on Utahime and Suguru as they chatted idly to each other. Suguru must have said something particularly hilarious because Utahime threw her head back to laugh, grabbing his arm to steady herself. Your stomach flipped. Why? You had no idea, but you found yourself moving just a little bit faster, your foot clipping a student in the side with a loud “ouch!” coming from below.

“I’m sorry!” you yelled back, hurrying over to the table. You threw your bag down on the bench and took a seat across from them, Utahime coming down from her giggle fit.

“What’s so funny?” You tried to ask casually, like your blood wasn’t boiling for whatever reason.

“Oh, nothing…” Utahime sighed happily. Your eyes were glued to her hand still on Suguru’s bicep as it slid down his arm slowly and landed on the table. “So?!” She started and you quickly averted your gaze, hoping she hadn’t seen you staring. Suguru on the other hand, had assumed his previous position of staring off to the side, not bothering to acknowledge you.

“So, what?”

“Don’t act stupid!” Utahime scolded. Suguru snorted at this.

“I don’t think she’s acting.” He muttered, still turned away from you and Utahime. You ignored him.

“Sugu, don’t be mean.” She chided and the familiar use of his nickname made you ball your hands into fists under the table. “I’m talking about your date with Satoru! Are you excited?”

Should you be talking about this in front of Suguru? Wait, why did you fucking care?

“Yes. We were texting about it earlier and he’s so sweet, Hime. He wants to surprise me with dinner and he’s cooking. He sounds just as excited as me from what he was texting me. This is so embarrassing, though. I asked him what I should wear.” In your peripheral, you saw Suguru shift slightly but he remained turned away from you.

Utahime giggled. “What did he tell you? A typical Satoru answer? Something sexy, short, preferably easy to take off?”

You blinked. Is that what he usually tells girls?

“Ah, no. He told me…one sec-” you pulled your phone out and read the text from Satoru back to Utahime…and Suguru since he wasn’t going anywhere apparently. “-and I quote: sorry, I wanted to make a creepy joke so bad but I didn’t want you to get the wrong impression. Wear whatever you want, love. I’m sure you’re gonna look great no matter what…And then he put a little heart emoji.”

Now Utahime blinked, her brown eyes wide and eyebrows lifting. “Wow…that sounds very unlike Satoru actually.” Again, you noticed Suguru shift next to Utahime. Whatever he was looking at must have been the most interesting thing in the world because his eyes were locked onto it.

Utahime leaned forward on the table. “Wear that little sage green dress in your closet. The silk one with the slit up your thigh!”

“Ooh, I forgot about that one. I’ll wear it!” You agreed.

“Yes! And it’s loose enough on the thighs for easy access for Satoru.” Your cheeks heated up immediately. Utahime lowered her voice an octave, a devilish grin flashing across her features. “Do you think you’ll fuck Satoru tonight?”

The hair on the back of your neck stood straight up as you felt the lighthearted atmosphere instantly shift into something much, much heavier. Your eyes slid over from Utahime’s to Suguru beside her who had suddenly pivoted his body to face you, his eyes glued to yours. Those deep brown eyes bore into yours so intensely, you had to look away.

“Stop staring, monkey. I don’t have any bananas with me.” You had to bring some type of normalcy back. Suguru knew little to nothing about you or your personal life – his only knowledge pertaining to your academics – yet here you sat with your roommate gushing about his best friend and the…intimate plans of the night ahead of you. You didn’t need him making it more awkward than it already was.

Suguru continued his staring, putting his head back in his palm as his lips curled into a wicked smirk.

“Oh, I’m just interested to hear if you’re going to fuck Satoru tonight or not.” You look at him again.

“Why is that any of your business?”

“Just curious. For someone who prides themselves on being so smart, you’re actually really fucking stupid if you fuck Satoru. But, you’re right. It actually isn’t my business.”

“And yet, here you are…making it your business. Say what the fuck is on your mind.” He doesn’t say anything, just sits there with the same intense stare, peering into your soul. “Speak, monkey.” You gritted out.

“I mean, it’s your choice. If you want to be another notch in Satoru’s bedpost, that’s up to you. I’m just saying, if let your pretty boy distract you you’ll be falling behind in your classes and debate team. Actually, this might work out for me if you and pretty boy do hook up.” He shrugs, sticking his tongue out at you through a cruel smile that doesn’t reach anywhere near his eyes.

“Pretty boy? I didn’t know you looked at Satoru that way, Suguru.” You match his cruel smile with your own, loving the way he tenses up at you addressing him by name for the first time since you’ve known each other. “Worried his good looks overshadow you and your chimp face?”

Suguru’s brows furrowed and he sat up straight. “Monkey this, monkey that. I’m getting so fucking bored with that one.”

“And I’m getting so fucking bored of your unwarranted opinions on what I’m doing.”

“And just like all of his other whores, you’re a one night stand away from Satoru being fucking bored of you in a couple of hours.”

You opened your mouth to reply only to be interrupted by Utahime’s nervous chuckle breaking through the tension. “Haha…You guys…maybe bring it down a little? You’re kind of yelling…” She glances around nervously and you follow suit, seeing quite a few eyes on you. You realize then that you’re breathing heavily, your chest rising and falling rapidly, your heart pounding in your ears. Suguru looks to be about in the same condition as you as he takes in your surroundings.

Snatching your bag from the seat, you stood abruptly, glaring hard down at Suguru. He glared right back. You would never be able to have a decent conversation with this monster. No matter what you did, no matter where you went, he would be there to shit on your mood and you were sick of it.

“I think you’re underestimating the chemistry between me and Satoru and I can’t wait to prove it to you. This date will go great whether I fuck him or not, but I think maybe I will.” You said quietly. You didn’t miss the way Suguru’s jaw clenched at this. “I will see him tonight regardless of your warnings and I will invade every corner of your space in that apartment just to watch you fucking squirm with irritation. I will continue to best you in every class we have together and then I will go home --” you dragged out the word ‘home’ and grinned when Suguru’s nostrils flared. “—to Satoru’s open arms while you cry in your room and waste away into nothing but mediocrity.”

Through gritted teeth, Suguru slowly speaks. “If you think you’ll be anything more to Satoru than a pair of legs to slide between, then you really are a fucking moron.”

You recoiled at the insult. While Suguru had called you many names, you did not fail to notice he called everyone else he deemed unworthy a moron - except you. And for some reason, this hurt.

“Fuck you.” You breathed shakily, your voice coming out just barely above a whisper.

“Think I’ll leave that job to Satoru.” He replied without missing a beat.

You stood there, scowling down at him. Your mind was racing so fast you couldn’t think of a response to that. He was going to have the last word and right now, you really didn’t care. The anger was overtaking you and you could feel your eyes beginning to burn as tears tried to escape. You said nothing, instead you turned on your heel and stormed off to your apartment to get ready for what you would make sure was an incredible date in spite of Suguru fucking Geto.
