I got a puppy and her name is Crowley, Ellie for short, and I love her so much!

I won’t even get to meet her til this Saturday when my mom brings her home to Illinois from Kentucky. But I’m being sent pictures and videos pretty often by my mom and aunt, that I’m living vicariously through right now.

1. Are you named after anyone? The middle name of my birth name was my grandmother's middle name on my dad's side.

2. When was the last time you cried? Dude I cry constantly. I couldn't even tell you at this point. Not long ago and for very valid reasons lol

3. Do you have kids? No bio kids, I have 3 step kids from my ex. I mainly only see them via Facebook these days. 2 live out of state.

4. Do you use sarcasm? NoOoOooo 😅

5. What's the first thing you notice about people? I honestly don't know... their face just if they look friendly?

6. What's your eye color? I have green eyes but depending on the day it has gold or blue flecks.

7. Scary movies or happy endings? Both? I love Scary movies, if I'm watching something angsty I prefer a happy ending my heart can't take the sad.

8. Any special talents? Uhh, drawing, painting, writing? I'm really good at handing out advice I should 100% be taking.

10. Where were you born? In a pit of despair aka Indianapolis, Indiana

11. Do you have any pets? Do I?! I have a 13 year old chorkie 'Sakka' my mother has laid claim on him and takes care of him. My ex has our 5 year old bull dog 'Rubble', 3 year old beagle 'Poe', and 15 year old pit bull 'Bentley' we had a cat together also, Zim, but my brother has him now. In my home currently I have Buddi the shih tzu 4 y/o, Scarlett the boxer/lab she's the puppy, then Binx our fat black cat 3 y/o, Stormi our siamese 5 y/o, and Chunk our not as fat black cat 1ish y/o, and the 2 albino sugar gliders Lucifer and Lilith 4 y/o.

12. What sports do you/have you played? I did a cheerleading camp ONCE in the second grade other than that none, unless you count pick up games of basketball, football, and baseball. I hung out with lots of boys growing up.

13. How tall/short are you? 5'5" and in Chan's words 'I'm tall enough' 😅

14. Favorite subject in school? Art or Choir. Pretty much any elective class like Home economics, desktop publishing, wood shop, all those were my favorite. I HATED school. I was bullied and struggled with undiagnosed adhd.

15. Dream job? Anything that I could do creatively from my home. Art, writing, whatever as long as I'm creating and in my jammies at home.

Dogs are odd

We all love our dogs out there but no one ever tells you that you dogs have personalities like we dog and we all know deep down that they have emotions and know exactly what they are doing when it comes to outsmarting you. For all who must know I have a dog myself. Her name is Poppy she is 8 and is a Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier mix also known as a Chorkie. My family got her when she was a puppy and we have been through so much and almost lost her a few times. We learned so much from having such a tiny breed, but we’ve owned medium dogs in the past. This blog is here to help new owners with questions and old owners who want to add some incite as well.

I’m at the beach and went to the dunes today (basically a mini desert that’s not near the ocean,) and while me and my family were leaving, my mom got caught up talking to a family. (My mom is chatty.) The family had two little girls with them and the dad asked if one of them could pet our dog.

Here she is:

The dad said it was a big deal for them because their daughter was scared of dogs, but my dog is small and she thought she was cute... So we stuck around for a second and I held my dog while me and the dad coaxed his girl to move closer inch by inch. 

My dog is quiet and sweet and only barks when she plays, but it had been a long day for her and she was tired, so I knew there was no chance of her growling or barking at this kid. 

I held out my hand for the girl and she put her hand in mine and we moved closer to my dog, together, and when my dog sniffed her hand, she flinched because her nose was wet, but she smiled too. She moved her hand closer again all by herself and I watched her dad smile while the mom looked on for a small distance with her other daughter, seeming somewhat astonished that her kid was doing this.

After petting my dog for a minute, they said thank you and the whole family said ‘bye-bye to the doggy.’ I almost cried but I held it together.  :’)

TL:DR: Kid who was scared of dogs got the courage to pet mine and it was cute.
