Let's look at Cogitality as a Theory, Experience and Practice of Everything that Is! ❤️ Your Shared Feedback and True Experience: 💭"Cogitality does not reject anything (it can and does accept all probabilities and points of view) and is moreover self-sufficient, just like Perpetuum mobile. In seminars, the approach is direct – there they tell you: either you straighten up or you accept the consequences. Cogitality is a made-up word, but its meaning is the unified name of that indescribable mentality that creates and drives the organizing entropy, making it a harmonious whole."- Rado

it’s so important to analyze kim in chronological order
losing reputation for letting klaasje go, gaining reputation for letting ruby go, and then kim offering his own solution to let dros go (with a reputation gain in the process. like it’s trying to offset the klaasje thing if you didn’t save ruby) is really blatant character growth.
kim quoting the moralist motto “a blue forget-me-not, a piece of the sky” on the balcony on day 1 and the old revolutionary saying “sunrise, parabellum” after the tribunal when harry wakes up is also a significant shift. and if you decide to be a moralist, then at the very end kim doesn’t want you to go with the moralintern
I think there’s evidence that this case is pushing kim to the left of his own accord, even if you don’t play harry being a leftist

Strategy boards occupied much of the hall’s space. These were thronged by Iron Warriors arguing how best to represent the hrud in their simulated battles. Their recent setbacks had exercised their minds as much as their anger, and ambitious warsmiths could see the glory to be won if they concocted a winning strategy. In truth, all warsmiths were ambitious, and they all had different ideas. In the first place, they could not agree how best to test their theories. Those that favoured the purity of wood block formations and outcomes decided by the casting of ten-sided dice argued bitterly with the proponents of cogitator-assisted hololith battle simulators.

Something I felt while ruminating about Yuma has me really... kind of
Tumblr media
...jesus...
*endgame spoilers*
He’s paranoid. As. Fuck. And being mentally cornered like that, is the major driving force behind opening up the Book of Death in the first place.
He had to force himself to undo all the life experiences up until he became Number One - how many years that was, who the fuck knows - but you already get an idea that Yuma is nothing if not stressed, all the damn time, so whatever it was that led him up to that title probably wasn’t a cakewalk either. Stress upon stress upon stress, and worse, with no one to truly put confidence in back then.
It meant that he also couldn’t trust himself to do what was necessary without turning to extreme, drastic means. Hell, Chapter 3 is enough to show that the Master Detectives can accomplish awesome things without the need for that book, just as long as everyone was on the same page and using their power. What’s more, there’s a very good chance that if Yuma had boarded that train with Number One’s memories intact, that he could have faked being drowsy in order to corner ‘Zilch’ and stop the massacre from ever happening. It’s still a tremendous risk, but hardly as risky as going in experience and memory-less. He could still use the cook’s identity without compromising his own, and yet?
This is what Vivia meant when he said that ‘it was already up to his neck’. Yuma had been ruined, in his heart and head. He still wanted to do right through that, but he was so blinded by his fears - whether of outing himself, endangering people he might get close to, betrayal, whatever - that he sought the help of a death god to guide him without his troubled memories. Because a contract with a supernatural being is likely to be more trustworthy than a fallible human.
What’s more, is this is such a human reaction to feeling cornered. Have you ever wanted to throw away your memories and start from scratch, only this time with someone who knows you by your side, to guide you through your fresh idealistic self to the place you want to be, rather than a jaded husk of a person who’s completely lost when reaching out to others? Redo your brain chemistry?
I feel like if I had that chance, I’d probably have taken it, too.

Ok so cabbage patch Cybertron. Robots grow in the planet crust, pop out, make their way into civilization. But HOW do they know where civilization is? Presumably this is how it works, right?
My theory is that, upon being newly animated, they have some kind of instinctual ability to locate other transformers. Idk maybe it's just a vibration that large groups (as in a city) of them give off when they're all together. Additionally I theorize that this ability must eventually taper off and vanish. They aren't homing pigeons, I don't believe they have this ability in "adulthood."
So this ties into Feral Child Orion in this way: if this signal is built in to every newly-forged Cybertronian, why and how are there bots that end up trapped in the wastes and never make it into town? Surely it's not that uncommon for bots to spawn quite a distance from a city.
Theory: in cases where bots are stranded out in the wilderness (no doubt rare, but I highly doubt Orion is the only one in Cybertronian history) there must be some physical handicap (blindness, ambulatory disability) preventing them from making it to civilization before this homing signal wears off. While I think physical disability upon spawning is not impossible in their society I do think it's probably pretty uncommon (just by virtue of their birth being less weird and chromosomy than human gestation). I further speculate that the odds of being both a) an unusually far distance from civilization and b) physically disabled is low and therefore why the Feral Cybertronian count is not very high.
And basically this is a long explanation for saying that I headcanon that Orion had, like, a club foot or something similar and that is why he was stuck surviving out in the wastes.
I spend too much time speculating on Cybertronian life cycle mechanics. I also like the idea that the eyes of Cybertronian youth glow like cartoon characters in a dark room. Evolutionary crutch to help the young navigate in their journey to civilization?? Idrk, I just think it's a cool idea lol.
